Fear Limits Our Vision

I've learned that fear limits our vision. Transforming fear into freedom is great! Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Ability is what we're capable of doing. Motivation determines what we do. Attitude determines how well we do it. It is our choices... that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

Sometimes fear can make even the smallest changes seem extremely uncomfortable. Fear can prevent you from breaking destructive habits. We all know that smoking, poor dietary choices, excessive alcohol and a sedentary lifestyle are a recipe for health problems, but we often gravitate toward these habits because they help numb our anxious or fearful feelings.

If you have ever tried to break a bad habit like this, you know how stressful it can be because suddenly you are filled with anxiety and you don't know how to handle it except to run back to your "pacifiers" - the very habits you are trying to break. Fear can prevent you from taking risks.

Fear can prevent you from pursuing your goals. Fear can prevent you from expanding your life. How to stop fear from limiting your potential. They are merely a perception that things "could" go wrong - but that doesn't mean they will.

We often talk about getting over the fear of failure in order to move forward, but is the fear of success holding you back? Fear is unnecessary worry. Fear is a lack of self-confidence. Fear is evidence of an inability to control one's thoughts. Fear is often the underlying reason for failure.

Fear is in everyone. And thankfully, fear is controllable and can be overcome. So what can you do about it? Sometimes all you need to do is "out" the fear by admitting to yourself that you are, in fact, afraid.

Which of these classic fears is keeping you from succeeding? Think these through to begin overcoming the fears within yourself. Fear of not coping with success. Fear of becoming someone else. You must realize that life is in constant change. It throws down a challenge. Change or get left behind.

Fear of not being up to the task. Remember when you were little and every time the task didn't really sound appealing to you, you pulled out that, "I can't do it" excuse, and most of the time, it worked? What it can really mean is, "I don't know how to do it.

Fear of not living up to the task. You may wonder if the first victory was a fluke. Fear of not being worthy. Perhaps you've always wondered if you could succeed at something. You may not have felt worthy of this success. Fear of making enemies.

Remember, playing small does not serve the world. People fear success for many other reasons. Look fear in the face and become unstoppable.

Hang around with people who will challenge you. Change the way you think. Don't worry if things don't progress as fast as you want. Keep trusting God's vision for your life.
