Message From the Universe: Appearances Can Be Deceiving!

woman standing behind plants

"Do you want to know what the single toughest thing about figuring out time and space is? About finally making progress by leaps and bounds? The one thing that would heal every broken heart and vanquish every emotional pain? That would clear the way for infinite abundance, perfect health, and unlimited happiness?

Not relying on appearances.

Just stop it.

You so can,
The Universe"

Appearances can be deceiving, so avoid basing all your upcoming decisions on these factors. If you want to trust someone, trust yourself. You are the only one who can make changes, especially changes from within. Don't expect the outside world to do anything for you, because no one really cares. Everyone have their own problems to deal with. So if you want abundance, perfect health and ultimate happiness, make sure you do everything in your power to obtain it. Starting with having the right thoughts is a requirement to making all this work well but never forget to put in the action behind these thoughts. If you eat fast food, do not expect to have the perfect health, which will ultimately stop you from being happy because of how you look, which inadvertently will hinder on your desire to have abundance in your life because of your physical condition. Everything in life is interrelated, so don't expect to do one thing and it not having a direct impact on your life further down the road. You reap what you sow, so just make sure that you come out of it a winner. There is no mystery in life, even though it seems like nothing is really straightforward like you would wish it was. It is not because you will work very hard that you will see positive results from your efforts. Sometimes, it can work against you but you shouldn't let that bring you down. In some cases, the route that you took when working very hard wasn't the optimal one and something else is needed to make it a success.

When you hear about someone reaching ultimate wealth, you look at it as being an overnight success. This is how it appears to you, but as you and I know well, overnight for you means something totally different for that successful person. I am sure that you are not ignorant to a point where you think that overnight is possible. Even with incredible and desirable luck, you can't really accomplish this kind of ultimate success in less than 5 to 7 years. Lots get put into the required work and time and sacrifices to make all of what you see happen or exist. That is why so many just give up, regardless of the potential of their idea. Many will not even try because they are too afraid to fail, hence, if I don't try, there is NO chance I will ever fail, so the fear goes away. For others, when they see that the going gets tough, they feel the journey isn't for them, so they just go back to doing what is safe. And for the rest of the 3% of the population who do cross that uncomfortable zone, that journey of insurmountable obstacles, the stress and anxiety, the loneliness, the constant fear looming over their mind on a daily basis, their success is well deserved when they lead the other 97% who decided to give up. So you say overnight success? I digress. Go out there and look for that overnight success entrepreneur and ask them questions about their path to success. You will not be surprised of their answers.

Feeling a Little Off? Try These Affirmations

Everyone has days when we're not feeling 100%. I get tired, or grumpy, or just irritated with stupid people/things/circumstances. And I get impatient with the things that I really want to change that haven't yet. I wonder if I'm ever going to get out of my office job... which every single day feels more like a prison. I don't feel quite so young, or invincible. Do you ever have days like that, Dear Reader?

It would be easy on those days, to stay in bed, and eat donuts...

I don't recommend it, however. That just feels too much like giving up, and it goes against every fiber in my body. Instead, I have a checklist of sorts, that I run through to guide me out of self-indulgent wallowing, and back to what I think of as "myself."

Let me digress, for just a moment, and tell you what that means to me. I think the way we view ourselves is such an essential part of the way we interact with everyone else. I see myself as a buoyant person, someone who rises to the top in any given situation. I am happy, positive... I'm passionate, and determined, and unstoppable when focused. That's how I see my "true" self.

But on my grumpy, foggy days, I'm not quite so sparkly, and I'm less focused in general. I do well when I know why things are happening. So, my first order of business on off days, is to figure out the reason(s) I might be feeling this way.

Did I get enough sleep?
Am I hungry/thirsty?
Is someone bothering me, and why?
Sometimes, something someone said/did or something I said/did will bother me and I'm not really sure why. Sometimes, it's because I'm not entirely sure if I've offended someone. Sometimes it's because I'm afraid I may have made a fool of myself. Sometimes, I'm irritated because I've perceived some slight or insult. And usually, unless it's pretty blatant, it'll just sit in the back of my head like a little piece of sand that is irritating without being really obvious. But if I think about it for a minute, and I realize what's bothering me, it's much easier to let that embarrassment/irritation go. That's weight I don't need to be carrying around. If it's something I know I need to apologize for, then I do it. Usually, it's a matter of sending a quick text or email, or making a call. An apology goes a long way. And if that's not really necessary, if I just need to forgive myself or forgive someone else for being inconsiderate, or rude, or just plain dumb, then I take a deep breath, and let it go. I imagine a bird flying right out of the top of my head. Give it a try, it's liberating.

Most times, the reason for the fog I'm feeling can be addressed by one or more of those questions. Next, I get to work pulling myself up by my bootstraps. Because why would I want to waste time feeling anything less than amazing? I walk myself through a series of affirmations. I love affirmations. You're the one with constant communication with yourself, that's a powerful tool!

The way you talk to yourself is a central, key part of your attitude and ultimately, your success. Now, if you've never talked to yourself intentionally, it feels a little funny at first. A little practice goes a long way!

Most of us don't even realize how we're talking to ourselves. The things we think about ourselves are a result of habit, and what we've taken from what other's say about us. But the reality is, we each have tremendous power, and it starts with how we're speaking to ourselves. If you're not intentional in what you say to yourself, it's time to take control. Here are some of my favorites.

I am a beautiful person. I think so many times we (especially women!) can think this and include everything but our physical bodies. Dear Reader, I believe everyone can be beautiful, physically, and spiritually. It all starts with how you feel/think about yourself. Women struggle with this sooooo much. Ladies, you are beautiful... and your men agree with me! Be brave, little piglet... go to the mirror, and find three things that are beautiful. Every morning, I wake up and I'm grateful for a beautiful body that is strong. I'm grateful for beautiful hair, and skin/teeth/nails. And I tell myself all those things are beautiful. Does everyone have to agree with me? Nope. I'm speaking to myself here... and here's the important part, I let myself believe it and feel that it's true. That's where the magic starts to happen.

I deserve to be happy. In fact, I deserve everything I want in life: love, happiness, success. This one gets after my habit of shame and guilt, and I can tell you, it's been a long road to actually believe that I deserve those things. But I am worthy (that is such a charged word!) of all of those things and so much more. Take a deep breath and tell yourself that one. Feel it in your roots, it feels amazing.

The universe is full of infinite abundance, and opportunities. There's plenty of room at the top. This one is aimed, in particular, at my competitive side. Here's the thing with competition, it teaches us that there's only room for one at the top. It teaches us that when one person succeeds, it means it's because everyone else did not. But that's a myth, Dear Reader. It's just not true. That's a limiting thought, and I don't have time for limitations. There's plenty of room for my success at the top, and that's where I'm headed.
Each of those is very personal. Your affirmations should be tailored to your weaknesses, and your goals. Taking that first step of taking control of the messages you're sending yourself is a huge step in the right direction. What do you do that works for pulling yourself out of a funk?

How To Live a Life of Infinite Abundance

Unless you were born super rich, I would venture to say you want to have more abundance in your life. Most people think of abundance as money. In our modern day society, that is understandable. But abundance could come in many forms. A week ago, I ordered some trash can liners from a store. When the product arrived, I realized I ordered the wrong color. I started a return process on the store's web site. Then I received an email, stating my return has been approved, but there is NO NEED to return the product. Imagine my confusion! I decided to wait and see if the money get refunded to my credit card. To my shock and amazement, it did! And I didn't have to return the product, which originally cost $20. I received abundance from the Universe in the form of trash can liners, which I much needed. I dare say I received abundance from the Universe quite often these days. But it wasn't always this way.

I used to have a deep sense of lack in my consciousness. I grew up extremely poor, like lack of food poor. Despite the success I was able to attain in later years, this poverty consciousness never left me. In fact, I carried it like a torch. I feel a bit embarrassed just writing about it. I didn't know at the time, this lack consciousness was what prevented me from manifesting wealth and abundance into my life. When I finally realized this, I realized this also stemmed from the lack of self love that stemmed from a tough childhood and the abusive environment I grew up in. I decided to eradicate the cause and core of this lack consciousness, the biggest block that prevented me from manifesting the life I truly wanted.

First, I resolved to heal the emotional pain behind the experiences that led to my lack of self love and self esteem. This allowed me to begin to truly believe I deserve to receive abundance. If you think about it, how small we all are compared to the size and scope of the Universe! The amount of abundance needed to satisfy every one of us on Earth is utterly insignificant compared to the vastness of the cosmos. The trick is to truly be open to receive it. You might say, "I am ready! I want abundance! I want a million dollars in my bank!" Unfortunately your outer Self, that part of you that you are actually conscious and aware of, is only one aspect of the entirely of your existence.

There are three aspects to our existence, the Outer Self, the one we are all aware of, the Shadow or Ego Self, which remains hidden most of the time, and the Source Aspect, that part of us that is connected to the field of ALL life, to the quantum field where all life and all consciousness exist in its true form. Your Outer Self might be ready and willing, but your Shadow Self, when not paid attention to and not healed from the past, constitutes a vote of NO in your manifesting effort. Then there is the Source Aspect, which has an agenda of its own, and, depending on the person, has the final say in whether your receive the abundance you deserve. For it will make you learn the lesson you need to learn. To live an infinitely abundant life, we must then:

Align the various aspects of our true Self, the totality of our existence.
Heal what lies in the sub-conscious, our Shadow Self or Ego Self by releasing fears, anger and other undesirable emotions and transform these emotions.
Align your thoughts, your words, and your actions to open to receive the abundance that is your birth right.
