7 Little Known Methods To Boost Your Self-Esteem

Raising your self-esteem is an internal work that every successful entrepreneur or famous celebrity does.

Before you conquer the world, you must conquer yourself first.

Here's 7 little know methods to boost your self-esteem so that you too can become an ultimate top achiever in any areas you desire.

Method #1 Confident Body Language

Your body posture has a direct chemical influence on your psychology.

If you are slumping down like a depressed person, you're going to feel like a loser.

So walk up straight, sit up straight, eyes up, head up, shoulders down, breathe deeply into your belly and feel as if you were the luckiest person in the world.

Be decisive, take action and you'll be more confident.

Method #2 Dress Sharp and Be Good-Looking

Being handsome or pretty is a choice.

The way you dress tells a lot about how you perceive your self-worthiness. People judge you based on your first impressions, it's inevitable.

So are you in fraternity? Are you Steve Jobs? Are you the billionaire owner of Apple Computers?

No? Then throw away your New Balance 407 sneakers...

Method #3 Reframe Everything Into Your Advantage

One of the key skills of successful people is their ability to reframe the negative into positive.

Got a challenge? Had a bad day? Failed on your initial attempt?

No problem. You've just discovered your 17th way of what doesn't work and you are one step closer to what works.

Whatever happens, step back and see the bigger picture. Acknowledge that you might have screwed up, identify the problem, and then focus your energy into finding a new solution.

Method #4 Take 100% Responsibility Of Your Life

It's easy to blame someone else, to blame the situation, to blame the government etc.

But it hurts your ego if you choose to see the truth that it's YOU who had put yourself into such plight.

Maybe it's really not your fault, but it's STILL your responsibility to choose how to respond to that and get yourself out of the trouble.

Accept full responsibility no matter want, so that you gain your personal power back to change it for the better.

Method #5 Be Kind and Don't Judge

It's easy to judge someone based on the one-minute interaction you have with them.

We love generalizations, categorizations and simplifications. It saves our mental energy.

But when you treat others with kindness, generosity and compassion, it helps you boost your self-esteem because you've shown yourself that you too are a good person.

Of course there are extreme violent situations where it's hard to have empathy, but most of the time people aren't that evil and they deserve your respect.

Method #6 Slowly Transform Your Bad Habits Into Good Ones

It feels frustrating when you know you need some big changes but you struggle with starting the process.

Therefore, instead of hitting your big audacious goal of change, try to change the mini bad habits one at a time.

Instead of forcing yourself to wake up at 5am, why not start with 10 minutes earlier the next day?

Method #7 Unleash Your Beast Within

Finally, remember this:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

When you deprive yourself from being great, you are also depriving others from being awesome. When you let your light shine, you are also giving permission to others to shine.

Everyone wants progress, but very few want to lead. People are looking for proof that you can be amazing so that they can be amazing as well.

Liberate yourself so that you liberate others.

It's one of the most enlightening causes you can ever fight for.

The Only 2 Places You Should Spend Your Time On For Maximum Achievement

We all know time is valuable.

Ever since we were kids, we've been taught that we should never waste time because life is precious.

We were taught that we should treasure our time with our family.

We were taught that we should enjoy school more because life will be tough when you join the work force.

We were taught that we should live fully, love openly, and make a difference today.

However, even knowing the truth that we can leave the world at any minute, how many of us are really spending time on things that matter?

Therefore, I propose that there are only 2 places where our time should ever be spent, especially if you are an extreme achiever who wants to "get it all".

Place #1 Your Production

The game of life is not to remain idle. You will feel empty if you don't produce.

We are meant to be creative beings, we are here to create more value for others and elevate the overall quality of life.

Productivity is the essence of an extraordinary life.

It requires you to accumulate and assimilate the wisdom from your ancestors so that worthy ideas can be passed along.

It requires you to push yourself to overcome fears and challenges so that you grow and become a more valuable person.

It requires you to commit to never-ending improvement so that you know how to leverage resources and produce maximum results with least money, effort and time.

Ideally, your production should be the kind of work you are passionate about, something that you desire to make a change so you feel a deep sense of meaning and contribution.

It is commonly viewed that people should spend 8 hours in each of these 3 areas: sleep, work and recreation. But I believe that it all depends on your life stage, your own desires, your passions and your lifestyle.

If you are at your early 20s and trying to build a 6-figure business within 6 months, working 40 hours a week just like an ordinary employee doesn't seem to be enough.

However, if you are already a multi-millionaire and things are going well in your company, it is justifiable that you spend a 2-week vacation to travel around the world with your family.

The point is that no matter where you are right now, you've got to engage yourself in the production process instead of getting stuck in the consumption.

The amount of time you spend there can be merely 2 hours a day or a hardcore 14 hours straight when necessary, the key is to never "retire in producing" but always allocate time and create something worthy for the greater good.

Productivity is one of the natural medicines to your well-being that you never want to cut out.

Place #2 Your Rejuvenation

I'm glad that you understand that in order to enjoy any fruits of life, you've got to work for it and produce value in return. That's why every one of us should schedule time for our rejuvenation.

Realize that you have a human body that works according to the natural laws of life.

You cannot survive if you lack food or drinks for a month.

You cannot survive if you jump down from the 20th floor of a building.

You cannot survive if you don't sleep for a week.

Rejuvenation is part of the equation that allows you to keep producing.

Things like proper nutrition, adequate rest, physical exercises, healthy hobbies, social interactions, having fun etc. are all essential to your optimal daily performance.

If you truly want to achieve as much as you can in life, you've got to schedule time for your rejuvenation too.

It doesn't matter if it's a 20 mins daily thinking walk, or a nice evening meal with your mentor, or a weekend mediation retreat. All that's required is a strategic planning of how you want to unwind during the day, the week, the month and the entire year.

Again, too much of a good thing normally turns bad.

Excessive rest can become an excuse for laziness and your productive momentum can be lost during the period. Thus, watch yourself carefully and get back to work once you've recharged.

So, these are the 2 places that super achievers spend most of their time in.

Any activities outside production or rejuvenation are likely to be things that are dragging you away from an extraordinary life.

Next time you login to Facebook, or scroll through what's new in CNN, or click to watch another YouTube video, make sure you know it's the best thing for you to either create or consume.

Become An Amazing Achiever!

Smiling Woman

You may have noticed that many highly successful people do not have a clear sense of how they manage to grab the brass ring time and again. Often, uber achievers do not have an awareness of what allows them to succeed or prevents them from failing. How do certain mere mortals repeatedly gain the favor of the gods?

It is true that we all have a repository of certain attributes, advantages, competencies and talents: the natural salesman, the math whiz, the influential family. Some may encounter a wise and powerful mentor along the way, who guides them onto the right path, keeps them out of harm's way, or gives them the heads-up about opportunities on the horizon.

Motivational psychologist Heidi Grant Halvorson says in her book Succeed: How We Can Reach Our Goals (2011) that research on achievement suggests that successful people reach their goals not only because of the cards they hold, but also because of what they do. Halvorson has spilled the beans on key behaviors that make the rich different from you and me (with apologies to those who do not equate success with wealth):

I. BE SPECIFIC: When setting goals, be as specific as possible. Knowing precisely what you want to achieve keeps you motivated until you get there. Furthermore, identify and commit to specific actions that must be taken to reach your goal, actions that leave no room for doubt about what must be done.

II. CARPE DIEM: Achieving goals means recognizing and acting upon opportunities before they slip through your fingers. Make sure that you don't fail to ride a good wave because you didn't bother to anticipate its possible arrival, or because you were distracted by competing pursuits and dramas. Open the door to success by planning to take real steps toward your goals. Studies show that the process of planning trains the brain to recognize and seize opportunities when they arise, in that way increasing our chance of success by about 300%. In other words, plan to succeed.

III. MONITOR AND MEASURE: Achieving goals requires regular monitoring of one's progress. Know your timeline and milestones and adjust your strategies and actions according to progress made. Rewarding yourself for interim successes is a good idea.

IV. REALISTIC OPTIMISM: Thinking positively about the likelihood of achieving your goal is enormously helpful in creating the conditions for success and sustaining motivation. Nevertheless, guard against underestimating how difficult it may be to get where you want to go. Anything worth having is likely to require significant time, planning, sacrifice and persistence. Daughter-in-law of the Prince of Wales and mother of a future king of England, Catherine Middleton used to be called "Waity Katy." Now she's known as the Duchess of Cambridge!

V. GETTING BETTER: Believing that you are able to reach your goal is imperative. Equally important is believing that you can acquire the ability to reach your goal. In other words, focus on obtaining whatever the building blocks of success may be, whether that means learning new skills or developing relationships with those who can help move you forward.

The Secret Ingredient of Success No One Ever Told You About

Image result for a helping hand

Success as the world defines it, has many ingredients and sure-shot recipes and by now, given the number of articles and books we have been subjected to on the same topic, we should have memorized them by heart if not already. To name a few in the list we have hard-work topping the charts, followed by determination, courage, learning from failure, the fabled 10,000 hours of practice, and persistence to name a few. Yet, despite all the constituents, there is something more to it. Something which is most often over-looked, something which marks the initiation of that success or rather puts the person towards the fabled path.

Kafka had it, Hanuman too and, so did Adele. Yet the world does not know them. This secret is nothing but the person, who perhaps, has more faith in the achiever of the success even before he or she begins to think about success. In Kafka's case it was his friend, Max Brod who collected his writings and forced publish them even after being instructed to burn them by the author himself. Had it not been for him, the world would have never seen Kafka as it sees now. In Hanuman's case it was Jamvantam, who made Hanuman realize his immense capabilities and encouraged him to fly across the ocean to search for Sita in Lanka, when he had all forgotten about it. In Adele's case, despite the obvious talent she has, it was her friend who posted her demo on MySpace before she was given a contract.

Self-doubt grips everyone at sometime in life. At that time, no matter how much passion or talent or faith you have in your abilities, you stand still until that one person gives you that fabled push in the right direction. There is no denying the capability of the person who went on to take their fair share in the limelight and success showered on them, but had it not been for that one link, that one push which they needed at the time their faith in themselves was low, the world would have not known them. It can be anyone, a friend, mother, lover, wife, daughter, or a sister heck even your dog who sees into your soul. So while everyone is busy tucking off their fabled 10,000 hours off the list, do make time to invest in real people who know you and your abilities even before you do.

Why Time Management Is Actually Attention Management

If you're reading this article, I bet you are the kind of ambitious, hungry and self-motivated achiever who wants to get as much done as you can in as little time possible.

Over the last few years, I learnt that those who eager to "manage time better" are actually NOT the typical lazy worker who just flow in the mediocrity.

Instead, "time management" people are those who don't want to settle for less and feel the urgency to create a bigger, better, more passionate life.

Awesome, I commend you for that.

However, contrary to popular belief, there's no such thing called "Time Management".

All we are working on is merely "Attention Management".

Here's the thing, we all have 24/7/365. That includes Richard Branson, Elon Musk, Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Putin, Donald Trump, you and me etc.

Time is a constant that never changes. It's only a human concept that makes lives easier.

The difference between billionaires and most people is how they choose to pay ATTENTION to, focus their energy on and take action on.

Is that a million dollar success formula I just gave you? Maybe.

The point is, when you master your attention, you become the powerful, purposeful and self-directing master of your own fate.

In marketing, there's an interesting acronym called AIDA. I discovered that AIDA is hugely relevant to our daily productivity.

A stands for Attention.

The first thing of any marketing campaigns is to capture your attention.

That's why there are millions of advertisements, notifications, newsfeed that's bombarding our lives throughout the day. That's why we are constantly flooded in the sea of distractions that's aiming to steal our attention. That's why those who can't manage their attention will have their lives controlled by external influences.

Scary but true.

Next, we have I, which stands for Interest.

When your eyes, ears or other senses capture the stimulus, the signal will be transmitted to your mind. Now the marketing message will engage with your intellectual thinking brain.

You will start to think about the latest weight-loss supplement from XYZ Company. You will start to think about the cool game called Pokémon GO. You will start to think about the pleasure you might gain from watching Game of Thrones.

And before you know it, you have now arrived the D stage.

D stands for Desire.

When you think about a certain thought for long enough, it will start to generate a certain kind of emotion. That marketing message not only engages your mind, but now it also engages your heart.

This is when you feel a desire to get that supplement product, or turn on your phone and search some virtual pets for ten minutes, or sit on the couch and adore Emilia Clarke for a few episodes.

What did you just do? Well, you've taken action.

A means the actual Action.

You have now successfully complied with the marketer's intention - to steal your attention, to generate initial interest, to activate your desire, and to persuade you to take a new course of action.

You are now distracted and start to procrastinate on doing the necessary work to achieve your goals.

Can you now see why managing your attention is the number one thing you must do in order to become successful in any areas of your life?
