You Are In Safe Hands (By Hifzur Rehman)

Photo of Teddy Bears Sitting on Wood

"Don't worry, you are in safe hands". These were the words of a Swiss doctor which gave me a new hope to survive and thanks God, I survived a massive heart attack.

It was a sunny day of February 2003 when I was sitting in my office in Geneva and doing the work as usual. Suddenly I felt something wrong in my body. Before I could analyse what was wrong, I suffered a severe heart attack. An ambulance arrived in no time which took me to the hospital. While on the way to the hospital my condition started worsening due to short of breath and severe pain in my chest. This was the time when the doctor's kind words "don't worry, you are in safe hands" touched my soul, and gave me a great relief by assuring me that I was in safe hands. Now after 15 years I still feel the magical effect of those words on my body. Whenever I have to go to the hospital to see some ailing relative or friend, I say to the patient "don't worry, you will recover soon" and the patient starts feeling better. Every patient needs a positive energy to fight the disease and this energy comes through kind words which he/she listens from others.

Any bad event in your life can be dangerous. But if someone says to you "don't worry, you are in safe hands" then you get a new energy to fight the evil forces. Kind words are always helpful. Please be kind to anyone who is in some kind of physical or psychological pain. Say some loving words, caring words and encouraging words so that he/she comes out of the ugly situation.

Be careful in using words. Your words can give someone a new life or even take his/her life. Always use kind, sympathetic and helpful words. Always be ready to help someone in one way or the other. Life is beautiful. Make it more beautiful and charming by using nice words for others.

You can make a difference in the lives of other people just by using proper words for a specific situation. Use the power of words to motive them, heal them, encourage them, guide them and to help them succeed in life. Also make people happy by passing decent jokes and loving remarks.

In any difficult situation, let your near and dear ones know that you are at their side willing to help them. If you are far away then send them messages of sympathy, love, encouragement and prayers.

Your Creative Thoughts: What Are You Choosing?

High-Angle Photo of Person Going Down

Do you realize that you are a very creative person? Did you know that you have the ability to create anything that you desire to create? Did you know that the mind you possess is the most powerful instrument on this planet? With this in mind, what are you choosing?

What thoughts are you choosing each and every day? Are you choosing happy, joy-filled thoughts or are you choosing negative, depressing thoughts? Are you choosing thoughts of "I can do this" or are you choosing thoughts of "I could never do this."? Are you choosing empowering thoughts or thoughts of defeat?

The thoughts that you choose to think determine where you will go in your life. Every thought that you think leads to an emotion. This emotion leads to an action. Each action that you take creates a result. These results become your life.

So, again, what thoughts are you choosing?

Our thoughts are commonly based upon what we allow ourselves to watch and listen to daily. Whether it is the news, a television program, an audio program or anything else, this information input influences how you think.

With that said, what you allow yourself to watch and listen to? Is it main stream media with all the negativity about how bad the world is or are you listening to individual who want to see you succeed in life and help you create a better future?

I do pay attention to what is going on in the news. Mostly I read it from websites rather that watch on television. I pay attention because I believe it is important to know what is happening in the world. However, I do not allow it to determine how I think.

I also listen to a variety of people that can help me accomplish what I want to accomplish in life. They have created success in areas of life that I desire to create and so I listen to what they have done. I do allow what they say to help determine what I choose to think.

A friend of mine once said that results are the measuring stick of success. "Measure everything by results. They are often harsh, but they are always fair."

What a beautiful statement and a painful statement!

Results are a beautiful gift and a painful reminder at times. They are a beautiful gift because they show us how we were thinking at the time we created them. They are a painful reminder for the same reason.

Again, results show us how we were thinking at the time we created them. What I find so beautiful about this is if I don't like the results, I can examine how I was thinking and change the way I think! By changing the way I think I can change the results I created!

All of this is a matter of choice. I choose what thoughts I think. I don't always choose the right thoughts. Too many times, I will choose thoughts that do not support me and create precisely what I do not desire to create. I am a work in progress. We all are.

I will end this the way I started: what thoughts are you choosing? It is your choice to think the thoughts that you think.

Cakra Meditation For Personal Development

Image result for meditation

Cakras are wheel-like vortices within the body that spins and through which energy flows. They are energy centers that determine your health spiritually and physically. It is important therefore to ensure the health of the cakras to keep the energy flowing.

There are seven major cakras that you need to know about. Starting at the tail bone is the Root cakra. This energy center is responsible for your basic survival needs. When it is not in balance, you will feel insecure, unsafe and unhappy.

The second cakra above the Root cakra is the Sacral cakra, often called the sex center. It is located in the lower abdomen just under the navel. This energy center associates itself with issues of pleasure, sexuality and well-being. In cakra meditation techniques, this is where pro-creation begins.

The third cakra is the Solar Plexus cakra. It is at the upper abdomen on the stomach area. This energy center is responsible for your self-confidence and self-esteem issues.

The fourth cakra is the Heart cakra. As the name suggests, it deals with issues of love, passion, joy and healing. It is located right at the center of the chest. The heart is an important component for manifestation because the heart does not judge, unlike the mind.

The fifth cakra is the throat cakra. It is located right at the throat and deals with expression and communication. The throat is where a major portion of a person's karma resides. Removing karma from the throat is a daily ritual if one is to succeed in life.

The sixth cakra is the Third Eye cakra and is located on the forehead between the two eyebrows. It deals with wisdom, imagination and decisions. The Third Eye is also where the pineal gland resides. The pineal gland is the window to the spirit world and where manifestation takes form.

The seventh cakra at the top of the head is called the Crown cakra and represents our connectivity with God or the universe. God's energy, or the energy of the universe, enters and exits the body through this vortice.

Cakra meditation is the use of quantum sounds for each of the vortices. When the quantum sounds are pushed into each vortice with meditation, they spin faster and become stronger.

Starting at the Root cakra, the kundalini energy will rise through the spinal column and pushes itself out of the Crown cakra, the result of which you will become spiritual and will vibrate in higher frequencies.

What does this really mean? It means manifestation becomes easier and more common. When using cakra meditation techniques for personal development, one certainly has the advantage over the masses.

Cakra meditation is a tool for personal development. In this highly competitive world, having the power to create or manifest with just a thought, places you far ahead of your rival. Master the techniques of cakra meditation at this blog http://cakrameditation.com and excel in your career and personal life.

Learning Lessons From A Seed And A Brownie

Person Holding Fresh Chestnut

Let me share with you lessons - learning lessons from the most unexpected circumstances!

Lesson of the Seed

The Lesson of the Seed is "You reap your harvest after you do the work." You dig the soil and water the seed (effort), wait a while (patience) and then you pick your beans.

Effort + Patience = Results.

Simple, right?

Well, I baked brownies today.

I think I did what was instructed in the box. I waited for 45 minutes and took it out of the oven afterward.

Well, why was it that when I was about to cut it, I couldn't?

It was so hard the metal bread knife will break when I tried to cut it! As in!

My mind looked back at what I did wrong. It did say 1/3 cup of oil, 1 egg, and 1/3 cup of water combined with the pouch mix! Was it the timing? Did I forget to put an egg?! or maybe I forgot to put water!!!

I must have done something wrong because of my results - a brownie-so-hard-you-can't-eat-it!

Recalling what happened, I think I wasn't really focused 100% when I baked it. I was all over the place watching TV, frying dried fish for breakfast and washing the dishes at the same time.

You know what? I think I did forget to put in 1/3 cup of water!

Baking brownies was the simplest thing ever but because I didn't give my all, it was a flop!

Yes, after I did my work, I will reap my harvest. But the lesson of the seed didn't mention the quality of the harvest!

Does the quality of the harvest matter?

Learning Lessons of the Brownies

Well, based on the lessons of the brownies, it does matter.

If I want to truly succeed in life, if I want to really achieve my dreams, if I want to make things to happen in my life, and I am putting an effort to do that, I believe it is also important to check the quality of work I am putting in to make it happen.

At the same time...

I can't just believe I will have the best brownies ever if I don't put in a little effort to do that!
I can't just pray to God to give me the best brownies ever if I don't put in a little effort to make it happen!
I can't just leave my brownies to chance that someday soon it will be the best brownies ever if I will not give a little effort to make it a reality!
I guess the lessons of the brownies is for all of us, don't you think?
If we check the results we are getting, do we like what we see?

In our relationships? In our careers? In our plans? In our life in general?

BE-NOT-A-VICTIM

Sometimes no matter how we want to blame, point fingers and become the victim of our circumstances, let us not. Why? There are three reasons why.

First, our circumstances will not change.

Second, others will not change for us, even if he/she is someone we love dearly.

Third, what for?

The one most affected by our own results is us, not them. Oh, I am sure they have their own results to carry too!

The good news is we can always pray to God to give us some more time to change our results - to have better relationships, to have the career we love most, to make our plans and dreams come true and to live life fully.

And I thank God for that.

I thank God for time to change because that's the only thing we can control. We can only control and change ourselves!

Our circumstances, the people around us will not change for us. But...

We can always change the way we see things, look at things from their perspective and do some adjustments.
STARTING ANEW

So, I am getting my brownies mix again.

1/3 cup vegetable oil - check

1/3 cup water - check

1 egg - check

350 degrees. 45 minutes - check.

Be patient.

And viola! The best brownies ever!

Yes, sometimes, it's as simple as that too!

7 Tips To Develop A Sharp Memory

Image result for brain memory

If you want to succeed in life, you must have a sharp memory but this depends mainly on your brain's health. Earlier, there was a notion that those who were old might not be able to boost their brain power. But researchers have disproved this theory. It has been proved that human brain, regardless of the age of the person, has a tremendous capacity to adapt, change and improve. Researchers have named this phenomenon as "neuroplasticity." But you have to make use of the right kind of stimulation for creating fresh neural pathways in your brain and for making modifications to the existing connections. The right types of stimulation will help your brain adapt as well as react in the ways you wish.

By using the concept of "neuroplasticity" and developing a good memory, you can not only improve your cognitive capabilities but can learn new things as well. Let us look at some of the tips that may help you.

1. Brain workouts

Biologists have found that before a person reaches adulthood, her brain will have developed countless neural pathways that may help her process information, recall details, solve familiar issues, and execute tasks that she already knows. In fact, she need not put forth much effort for carrying out all these. But if the person is complacent and limits her activities within these neural paths, it means she is not giving her brain the necessary stimulation for its growth or development. So, she must opt for brain workouts for shaking things up.

Memory is very much similar to muscular strength. You should therefore exercise it. The workouts you try should be challenging enough to help you develop fresh neural pathways. Learning a new language, solving mathematical problems, writing poems, indulging in creative activities, etc. are ways to exercise your brain.

Key elements of good brain-boosting activities

The most important element is that the activity should push you out of your comfort zone. This means you must be ready to explore a territory you have not treaded earlier. Learning a new thing or developing a new skill belongs to this category.

Secondly, the activity should be challenging and should demand your complete attention and mental effort. Learning to play a difficult music score belongs to this category.

The third element is that the skill you choose to develop should be such that you should be able to work to build on it. This means when you begin, you will begin at a very easy level and you will be growing your skill levels as you move ahead and improve. This also means stretching your capabilities to reach higher levels.

Lastly, the activity should be rewarding. Your learning process may stop if you do not remain motivated. Rewards take care of this part.

2. Physical exercises can greatly help brain development

You may wonder how physical exercises can help you develop a sharp memory. Biologists confirm that when you indulge in strenuous physical activities, your brain gets a good supply of blood and oxygen and this does a world of good for its development. It is a known fact that ailments like diabetes or cardiovascular diseases can negatively impact memory power. Physical exercises will help you negate the ill-effects of these ailments. It has also been proved that exercises stimulate creation of fresh neuronal connections.

3. Importance of adequate sleep

Though there are experts who say that it is enough if you sleep for about 6 hours a day, the fact is you must sleep at least for 7.5 hours to 9 hours for functioning with optimum efficiency. If you have a good sleep, you can certainly develop sharp memory. Your creativity and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities will also improve drastically.

4. Socialize

If you spend a good amount of time with your friends and socialize with them, you are more likely to develop a sharp memory. Researchers have proved that socializing and meaningful friendships bestow cognitive benefits also.

5. Learn to manage stress

Stress can negatively impact the brain power. If you are not able to manage your stress, you will very soon face memory issues. Stress is the destroyer of brain cells. It also damages hippocampus, the brain's region where creation of new memory cells takes place. Some of the ideas for managing stress are:

  • Have realistic expectations.
  • Take frequent breaks and relax.
  • Don't bottle up your feelings.
  • Have a good work-life balance.
  • Concentrate on a single task instead of multi-tasking.
  • Learn and practice meditation, yoga and breathing exercises.

6. Laugh as often as possible

One of the ways to develop a sharp memory is to laugh at every opportunity. Especially, those who are capable of laughing at themselves are known to have a very good memory. Since they do not hesitate to criticize themselves, they do not take criticisms seriously. Researchers have established that those who take criticisms seriously and keep brooding about them may lose their memory power soon.

7. Opt for brain-boosting diets

Nutrients like Omega 3 Fatty acids, fiber, proteins especially lean proteins, etc. can boost brain health. You should therefore eat more of fruits, vegetables, and wholesome grains for improving your memory. Avoid eating junk and oily foods, red meat, butter, whole milk, cheese, ice cream and sugary items because they may trigger dementia and affect your memory as well as concentration.

Staying Firm With Your Life Goals

Be Serious About Your Goals

Life is not a game. And you don't have time to waste.

If you want to succeed in life you have to take your life seriously. Most of you walk around in life dabbling without a purpose, without a focus, just walking aimlessly in life. This is not you, so stop doing that.

You are different.

The reason you are reading this article is because you want a better life for yourself or perhaps want to transform your self, your life, your car, your house, but something in your life you want to change now.

You are convinced that you are ready to change and will do anything in your power and resources to make that happen.

You want things to change; you want things to be better for you because let's face it you're tired of being miserable. You are dissatisfied with something in your life than you find unfair, tiring, boring, stunt-growing and angry.

You want things to change.

I know this is you; the first thing you have to do is stop complaining about your life when you have taken it for a joke.

When you're not living the life you deserve you have to analyze yourself. Perhaps you have taken your life unfavorely. When you look around at yourself you see that you lack focus, purpose and vision of whom you are.

Be Different

But I know one thing about you, this is not you. You want things to change and want things to get better. You are willing to change things around because you're tired of living a circus and you're the clown.

It's time for you to live a prosperous, happy, tranquil life that you truly deserve.

This is you. You have to be ready to make the decision that your life, your desires, your dreams are not a joke anymore.

When you become serious about whom you are and about what you want to accomplish; everyone else will help you and respect you because you're serious about who you are and where you want to be. Earn the respect and recognition you deserve.

Goals are not attracted to clowns, they are attracted to people who have made the decision to achieve the best, be the best and are serious of themselves.

Changing Your Self-Dialogue

In order to be happy, peaceful, persistent or successful in life it's about the self-dialogue you hear or tell yourself. Change it and life will change. Self-dialogues are amazing and effective when you believe in them.

Start with this:

Your dream, your desires, should make you tremble so vividly through your body convincing you that what you're doing in life is your life's purpose. It gives you the certainty you need in life; there should be no room for doubt.

As you journey through your life you must get certainty of what you want; sure of what you need and be sure it belongs to you. You deserve it. This is all that you should tell yourself on a daily basis.

And as you think these thoughts, you have to remind yourself again and again of telling yourself that there is no room in your mind for any negativity such as fear, doubt, quitting. You must not poison your mind.

The only thoughts springing out of your mind should be ideas that will get you where you want to be. You have a dream to achieve, a goal to acquire and a need of changing something in your life. This should be your only sole focus, nothing else.

Remember we do not have time to waste. Life is not a joke anymore. We have to stop wasting our valuable potential energy only in thoughts that will help us grow.

Distinguish Your Self From The Rest

We are different.

You are different. Your thoughts should be too. Only those that accomplish goals in life are those who dare to be different from the rest. They are the one's where fear does not exist in their thoughts because they think different. Their mind has transformed itself differently. Mutated perhaps.

The only way you'll get there is by feeding thoughts, ideas and images that will help you build a big archive of only self-growth ideas.

Ask yourself "What thoughts do you need to help you grow?"

It's one thing. Do not tolerate any longer mediocrity. This is a thought you have to believe and carve in your mind.

What is what thing you have in common with successful people? It's the ability of believing that we deserve better than mediocrity.

Let me explain, you have to train your mind that most successful people out there are enjoying themselves because they have tolerated little, unhappy with some part of their life and decided to do something about it. They decided no longer to tolerate their low paying job because they know it will get them nowhere, they move away from toxic relationships, change their beat-down jalopy. They change themselves.

They changed it. They are the type of people whom don't tolerate mediocrity anymore. This has to be you too.

The reason you're angry at life is not external. This anger is against you for not taking the initiative to do anything about it. You have to be willing to do something some thing, fight for it; do what you must. I mean anything! Do at least some thing even if you look like a fool.

What will motivate you to take action is believing that you are put in this earth to live life at it's fullest.

You must have the thought that you love life.

Things will change.

Motivate yourself to pursue your dreams, your goals, appreciate the opportunities that life is giving you to change. Change will be given to those who decide to love life.

This is you.

When your mind is with different thoughts you will no longer settle for mediocrity. You decided to be different. Do not get comfortable with a poor unbearable life. Change now.

Start today.

When you finally had enough that is when you will change. This is when you will open your eyes, see how much you deserve to live and more. It's the turning point in your life when you realize that you are different, want more out of life and it's time to live that life you deserve. It starts by being a new you; a new beginning.

To finish this off you have to create thoughts and believe in them. You deserve them. Believe in them. You are worth more than you believe. Change your thoughts now and you'll thank yourself later.

Give yourself thoughts and things that will make you happy.

Say to yourself, "I need to give myself those thoughts to make me happy".

Why You Can Succeed in Life

The moment we feel sorry for ourselves into our life is the moment we permit negativity to overrule. We need to take action immediately. It is important to focus on what needs self-improving, this should not be at the expense of our self-confidence. Every time a negative thought pops into our head, dismiss it with a positive thought.

We need to work out what we want from our life. However much of our life lies, we can still make the most of the years ahead by giving ourselves a direction. We also need to plan the way we'll move on. We will do it!

We also need to set our goals into action. Start out slowly and work our way towards an achievable goal. When that's done, move onto another achievable goal. As we gain in confidence, start to tackle the harder goals that we have set ourselves.

Each time we have achieved a task we need to treat ourselves with a small present.

We have to remember that we are the most important person in our life. We need to take care and appreciate ourselves. This isn't about being selfish; the more we have taken care of your confidence-building and sorted out your own issues, the freer we are to assist others to find the same pathway and to be generous with our time, knowledge and skills.

We need to believe in our abilities and in who we are. Confidence grows when we give ourselves the chance to do what we're good at and then build on from that. It grows when we stop putting ourselves down and start recognizing the good things about ourselves. It can also grow when we let go of the expectations that we feel others want us to accomplish.

We also have to realize that other people have their own issues. Sometimes we feel that other people are standing in our way, causing us to feel less confident as a person.

As a matter of fact, criticism is just ordinary from others especially coming from immediate superiors but not all of it is constructive. We have to learn on how to sort between the unhelpful comments that seek to prevent us from reaching our full potential and the feedback that is actually aimed to help grow in the right direction.

It takes a lot of little time to sort this out but it is worth it. Remember that many people are carrying their own concerns and some of them are insecure enough to try to pass their worries on to us too.

No matter how old we are, we share the same common goal in life - to succeed. We all want to achieve something in life so that we can have a comfortable life, financial freedom, nice car, and beautiful house. But success does not come easily. It takes a lot of guts and determination to achieve.

No matter how people treat us, bottom line is, how we rise and stand despite life's idiosyncrasies.

Life Management Using Time Investment

What are we to do with the time that is given to us? A great question from a favorite movie everyone will ponder in life.

In pursuit of an answer, men and women pursue multiple passions desiring excellence from all. But aspirations can outstrip time ultimately leading to stress, disappointment or burnout. When reaching this point one does not require a change in purpose but a new vehicle to help succeed in life. For this reason, the Life Management Time Investment system was developed.

LMTI helps men and women set parameters for life goals using the disciplines of time investment.

This program is for men and women with busy careers, families and small businesses. Its goal is to help users seek a more balanced and fulfilling life. LMTI understands that time is a nonrefundable resource and works to eliminate the feelings of regret from what might have been.

Everyone is given 168 hours in a week. No more and no less. The LMTI creates a framework for individuals to achieve personal and professional goals while maintaining emotional and physical health. LMTI consists of allocating time into four categories, personal, family, professional and sleep.

Professional time is the time spent preparing, traveling and working at the office.

Family time is spent with a spouse, children and extended family. The extended family encompasses whatever each person desires it to be. This will expand or contract from person to person depending on culture and preference.

Personal time is you time. It is time for personal development, exercise, prayer or meditation. It's the time to keep in touch with the child inside pursuing passions and hobbies or developing tools for future ambition.

Sleep is time we spend in bed at night or a quick nap during the day. Each person is different, but the recommended amount is between seven to eight hours a day. Many busy people try to work on few hours of sleep but studies show that lack of sleep leads to poor health outcomes later in life. Sleep deprivation leads to fatigue, irritation and poor performance. Attacking each day with vigor and strength begins with a good night's sleep.

The first step is to allocate time in each area totaling 168. An example of a busy professional may be 70 in professional, 50 in sleep, 20 for family and 28 for personal. Another for a parent with active children may look like 50 for professional, 50 for family, 50 for sleep and 18 for personal. Each of us have different goals but none get more than 168.

After parameters are set for each category the important task of selecting the actions to achieve goals. How much time is needed to produce the fruits of fulfillment and value? This is an important time to contemplate purpose in life. As time is invested, consider if desired actions are in line with core values and goals.

Once an accomplished family man tabulated 216 hours for a desired week. It is important to understand we can't do everything in a given week but can over an extended period of time. Adding the phrase "No, for now" is a great way help prioritize while taking the long view in accomplishing goals. Taking time to create the long view will make a more productive short term with more enjoyment and fulfillment.

As you understand what you desire to accomplish, it is equally important to understand when you want to accomplish tasks in pursuit of your ambitions. When is one's most productive time of the day? Willpower and focus are finite resources. While scheduling time, make sure tasks requiring maximum focus are scheduled during optimal productive times.

Men and women have families for a reason. Relationships take time, love and commitment. Understanding when to spend time with family is vital to achieving balance. When too much is on one's plate, the little wonders from deep relationships are missed. Children are only young once, spouses were married for a reason. Creating the environment to harvest these moments leads to more fulfillment and happiness.

If married, make sure to do this exercise with your significant other. A client joked not to share this exercise with his wife as she might have a different idea of how much time to spend together. But this is not a joking matter. Being on the same page with the most important person in our life creates the strong foundation to pursue shared goals as a unit in harmony, confidence and trust.

Employers must understand additional work comes at a cost. As a rule, more time spent in the office subtracts from time with family, community or self. Effective time investment at work flows from the disciplines of capacity and project management. Ineffective time investment has devastating effects on the health and welfare of employees. Organizations who have a strong understanding of the principles help staff achieve balance leading to less attrition, higher satisfaction and more production.

Civic engagement is important in our communities. Non-profits, churches, and civic organizations flourish with effective and engaged board members, volunteers and supporters. For residents to participate, they need time to play a part.

As important as it is to serve, it is vitally important to set parameters on what time is involved during service. Organizations should have clear and defined roles for each person who desires to help. This will allow people to serve and have an impact in the community with growth and fulfillment personally.

Rest is doing something. Trying to achieve everything on the long task list, rest at best can seem like a waste of time and at worst laziness. But rest helps in the short and long term. In the short term, it makes each person more focused to produce more during productive hours. In the long term, it helps sustain us by keeping the mind, body, and soul healthy. Running the body into illness is something to be avoided at all costs. Taking some time to watch a show, take a nap or enjoy a walk is well worth the investment.

While investing your time, allocate for the unexpected. Every week something often pulls us off course. It can be an unexpected visit, flat tire or new opportunity. This allocation is perfect for those who still can't bring themselves to rest. Allot time for the unexpected and if nothing occurs, use the time to rest. Incorporating this time allows us to weather a storm or jump at an opportunity without missing planned goals.

In order to do something new, you have to do something old. As we embark on a new endeavor, what will that replace? As a person seeks to exercise, volunteer or begin a hobby one must understand what is being replaced. There has to be a corresponding swap with existing actions. If this doesn't occur the existing actions will continue causing a person to stop the endeavor or drop the ball somewhere else. Make sure this exercise is done with each new personal endeavor.

LMTI's principles help set priorities and the actions to achieve them. But actions only turn into results once they are put into action. The process of planning, living and review is paramount to success. The process helps understand patterns of our lives and if unsatisfactory, the ability to change them. This is not a onetime act but an ongoing assessment of where one has been and where they are going.

Successful People Take A Lot of Self-Development

Successful individuals consider hard work, determination and commitment as the ingredients to getting at the top of the corporate ladder. Yes, these three elements are very important if a working individual like you will want to succeed in life. However, all these are not easy to do. It would take a lot of self-discipline and self-development to achieve all your dreams and goals in life.

Self-discipline is something that not all people are good at. Diabetics are so hard-headed that they can't control their sweet tooth even if it means higher risk of getting a diabetic attack. Individuals who have arthritis would promise never again to eat the food that cause the joint pains yet when they feel well, they can no longer remember their promises.

Why does eating unhealthy food feel so yummy when in fact it can give you health problems later on?

Though not all dread the word "self-discipline," there are others who are victorious in this aspect. If the doctors tell them to stop smoking to save their lungs, they are willing to do it even if it means losing their favorite pastime. Mind you, quitting smoking is not easy. It needs a lot of self-discipline not to be tempted by the cigarette aroma.

But when you have already mastered the art of self-discipline, expect to become a master, too, in self-development.

"It takes two to tango," as a saying goes. It means without a partner, you can't do the things you want to do. That's why in your professional career, you need the help and guidance of someone who can give you with all the knowledge you need.

At work, your boss is there to help you do your job better and become more productive. In trainings and workshops, there is always the trainer or facilitator who guides you through all the process of learning. At school, there is the teacher who moulds you into what you have become.

In sports, there is the coach who imparts the techniques, strategies, and even the rules so you can play the game wisely. At home, your parents and siblings or relative are there to give you love, support and guidance.

Except for those born with a silver spoon whose position in a company is given, climbing up the corporate ladder needs to be worked on. If you want to be the company's top executive officer, learn everything about the business, know how it is being run, and what keeps it going.

Most often, good customer service makes up the higher percentage of reasons why billionaire companies are successful. And if you consider this as an important aspect to your success, then learn everything about it and apply in your company.

Sometimes, self-development doesn't need to benefit only yourself. It also means sharing what you learned and apply it on your everyday life while making sure to continually expand your learnings and explore everything there is to be explored. This way, your professional life would never become boring.
