First Five Secrets To Abundant Wealth

I challenge you to begin putting these principles into action and see the changes that result in your life and your business. Make this personal, and embrace these steps as they matter to you.

1. The Power of Sub-Conscious Beliefs. Your subconscious mind is real - we all have one. This is what is responsible for your habits, actions, behavior, and ultimately what you produce. The amount of money you earn is actually in direct proportion to your self-image and the power of your subconscious beliefs. Never underestimate this power.

2. Burning Desire. This is the language of spirit. You never desire something you cannot achieve. The fact you desire something is evidence you have the ability to do it. You may have heard the saying, "What you believe you can achieve". There is more truth to that statement than most people give credit to.

Be prepared to sacrifice. Except for your health, relationships and self-respect, be willing to make the sacrifices needed. Think about how NOT having money has impacted your past, present and future. What pleasure would you gain from having abundant wealth?

The secret to making your burning desire work for you is to have more pleasure than fear from having it. If your dominate feeling is fear, that is what you will attract instead of the wealth you desire. It may surprise you how many people are actually fearful of attracting wealth.

3. Definiteness of Purpose. You can achieve anything, but you need to know the REASONS behind your desire. An example would be the goal of a new car. Envision not only what type of car, brand and color, but your reason WHY you desire the car. What are the benefits you will receive?

Picture yourself actually driving your new car as you affirm how happy and grateful you are now, in the present. Understanding the "why" behind any passion will always propel you forward and keep you going when you face obstacles.

4. Organized Action Plan. You may be tired of hearing it, but you must set goals and follow an action plan to get there. Once you set a specific goal, write down 10 ways you can achieve it. It's not the amount of money you have, but what you can achieve with it.

5. Power of Specialized Knowledge. You can't acquire wealth without this in at least one area. Think about the areas you have acquired specialized knowledge and use this to help others.

By applying these simple principles consistently you will see positive changes. Like anything, it takes practice and persistence, but is well worth the effort. Start your journey today!

Is Your Mind Compromising Your Health?

The last time you had a cold, unspecified aches or pains, or just felt under the weather, did it occur to you that your state of mind might have had something to do with it? You may think "That's a crazy idea - I just caught a bug." And you did. However, there may have been underlying reasons why. Commonly these are:

1. Stress and how you cope or don't cope with it
2. Your subconscious beliefs about your health and body

Whether we recognize the symptoms or not, stress is a factor of daily life: getting stuck in a traffic jam when you are late; having an argument with a friend; your car breaking down on the freeway; discovering your checking account is overdrawn; a call from school because your child has gotten in trouble again... However, not all stress is caused by external factors. We do a great job of creating our own stress by excessively worrying about something that may or may not happen, or continually thinking pessimistic thoughts.

While we ordinarily think of stressors as being negative - an overwhelming work load, an exhausting schedule or a rocky relationship, any situation that makes high demands on us or forces change can be stressful. This includes positive events such as getting married, buying a house, going to college, receiving a promotion or moving to a new city.

For short periods of time stress can actually be beneficial. It helps you meet deadlines or challenges, and keeps you sharp and focused during a presentation at work or during a sports competition. But too much stress can overwhelm the body and make us sick, both mentally and physically. While our bodies are designed to handle short periods of stress, we are not equipped to handle long lasting, chronic stress without consequences. Prolonged stress raises blood pressure, creates tension in the body and compromises the immune system. Not only does a compromised immune system make you vulnerable to all the "bugs" out there, many other problems can be caused or worsened as well. Some of these include: heart disease, pain, depression, weight issues, auto immune diseases, skin conditions such as eczema and sleep disorders.

Subconscious beliefs play a large role in the state of your health as well. For over 50 years medical professionals have been demonstrating that the mind can heal the body by something known as the "placebo effect." A placebo is a substance that has no known medical benefits, such as sterile water, saline solution or a sugar pill. A placebo is nothing more than a fake treatment that in some cases can produce very real results. The expectation of the patient is key - the more a person believes the treatment will work the more likely it will. Less known is the placebo effect's ugly twin, the "nocebo effect." This is the placebo effect in reverse. If you believe something is harmful it most likely is or will be.

Negative beliefs can be extremely harmful to the human body. According to Bruce Lipton, a former medical school professor, research scientist and author of The Biology of Belief, we are what we believe. What we think we believe is not always the case. True beliefs are buried deep within our subconscious mind. Many of our beliefs were formed before we were old enough to separate fact from fiction, and we internalized whatever we heard and were told. Were you consistently sick as a child and considered to be too frail to have a normal life? How is your health now? Is there a correlation?

Growing up you may have repeatedly heard family members discuss how Alzheimer's, cancer, heart disease or some other debilitating condition "runs in the family." If you believe it is inevitable you will succumb too, you are setting yourself up to be a sitting duck. Changing your belief does not guarantee you will never get that particular disease or condition, but it can help prevent it from becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

How can you use your mind to protect and improve your health? Positive thinking is vital, but it won't change deeply ingrained subconscious beliefs. As Albert Einstein said, "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it." If positive thinking alone could keep us well, many doctors would be out of business and hospitals would be much emptier. Both EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and PSYCH-K® (Psychological Kinesiology) work at the subconscious level of the mind and are powerful tools, both for managing stress and changing subconscious beliefs. Rob Williams, originator of PSYCH-K®, explains that this technique "is a simple and direct way to change self-limiting beliefs at the subconscious level of the mind, where nearly all human behavior originates, both constructive and destructive." While appearing deceptively simple, PSYCH-K® is not something to attempt yourself unless you have been properly trained to use it. Find a professional practitioner who can work with you to identify and change negative beliefs that might be sabotaging your health. On the other hand, EFT can easily be learned and practiced any time. Do yourself a favor and learn more about how these modalities might help you prevent illness and maintain good health, especially as you grow older.

What Is Holding You Back From Wealth?

Do you realize that the number one thing that is holding people back from living their dreams and having a prosperous life is low self esteem? A large percentage of the population has an issue with unworthiness and do not even realize it. When people don't feel like they deserve wealth and abundance or even happiness in any area, it comes from deeply rooted beliefs that they are not worthy. Most of us will just sit around and complain about those that have abundance and better lives and make up excuses about how life has done us wrong.

We are all entitled to every bit of abundance and wealth that the universe has to offer, however it is these underlying beliefs that keep us away from living that sort of life. Each one of us was raised with certain beliefs about money. It can be as simple as there is "never enough" to beliefs that "money is the root of all evil". Aside from these specific beliefs, and more importantly, issues of unworthiness are what may be holding you back.

Many of us spend our lives riding a perpetual rollercoaster - from wanting our vision of wealth, abundance and living the life of our dreams and then dropping into painful lows of scarcity, smallness and not feeling deserving. The positive visions are coming from our true essence and innate knowing of what our lives are supposed to be like. The negative voices that keep us small come from our ego and our deep underlying beliefs of unworthiness. We have been programmed either by those that raised us or our own voices to believe that we are not worthy of greatness, happiness, wealth and even success. Our subconscious mind holds these beliefs of unworthiness without us even being aware. Unfortunately, the subconscious runs the show (it makes up 90% of our thoughts).

Along with our basic and physical needs being met when we were growing up, we had many emotional needs to be met in order for us to grow into emotionally secure adults. It may not be what our parents and caretakers did, but simply what they did NOT do. If we did not receive adequate affection, attention, acceptance and approval along with a sense of both belonging and safety, the tendency is to believe that we are not worthy of them. This sets the stage for feelings of unworthiness in certain areas of our adult life.

Through personal experience, I was not able to receive gifts from anyone without going to a place of shame because I felt unworthy (and I didn't even realize it!). I loved to give, however it was very difficult to receive. We bought a new car and I was so uncomfortable due to my subconscious beliefs that it put me in such a state of resistance and shame. My ego was playing such a number on me telling me every reason that I should not like the car and that I should take it back. It was a vicious web of lies that my conscious mind was telling me to keep my outer world in alignment with my subconscious beliefs.

Once I realized that I had the belief that 'I was not worthy to receive', which came from a Catholic upbringing (we'll save that story for another time!), I was able to counter act that belief and remind myself that there was no truth to it at all and that I did deserve the car. It was an exhausting day for sure! We will continue to sabotage our outer world with our limiting beliefs until we clear what is holding us back subconsciously.

We can do our best as adults to try to counteract these beliefs. The best time to get our subconscious mind to absorb new thoughts and beliefs is when we are first waking up and when we are quiet at night and getting ready to fall asleep. My fiancé and I use this time to unwind, clear our minds and listen to positive affirmation meditations to both start and end our days together. There are also successful methods such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and mediation that will help you clear beliefs. You can also use the following steps to help break away from the false beliefs that no longer serve you in just a couple of minutes a day.

- Move into a place of facing your beliefs. For most of us, we can't even imagine that we are unworthy. I was in complete denial about it because I had such a false sense of pride that was keeping the dragon inside my head sleeping. I carried myself with so much confidence that there was no way I could have been unworthy. And then, my pedestal came crashing down. When you are ready to face the truth, you will know. A few typical indications that you are ready to face the truth are that you have questions about who you are associating with, feelings of discomfort and possibly questions about things that you do that are habitual in nature - and used to be satisfying but aren't anymore. Yes, it's very uncomfortable, however the rewards and freedom on the other side are tremendous!

- Accept that is your truth. We know it is a false belief but in our mind, it is our complete reality. It is like trying to tell a Democrat that they are actually Republican. No way, and no how. That is how attached we are to our beliefs.

- Realize that it was just lies that we had to tell ourselves to survive and we no longer need to believe it. Acknowledge you are an adult now and you deserve all greatness and abundance and you are safe and OK.

- Say the following phrases to yourself at least two times a day, preferably in the morning and at night repeating them each 20 times.

• Even though I am still believing, I now choose to release the thought that I am not worthy.

• I am worthy and I am ready. I choose wealth now.

You deserve wealth, health, love, fulfillment, satisfaction, happiness, success and the best that life has to offer. It is only through changing your subconscious mind that you will ever be able to truly believe it. So, help yourself and begin to release those limiting beliefs!
