Why and How You Need To Be Creative

If you suffer from stress and depression, you will be pleased to know that you can do something about it. You need to start by scheduling some relaxation time into your day and do something creative. Not only will you be relaxing, but also stimulating your mind and activating the more creative side of your brain.

Now many people are feeling the need to get back to the basics in order to improve the quality of their lives. A creative moment here and there might be just what you need to recharge your batteries, connect with your inner self and restore your soul. You may say, but I am too busy for this, but believe me, scheduling some time into each day or even week will be well worth your while.

For me, it is scrapbooking, but maybe for you it will be something different. There are many wonderful things to do out there, even if you don't have an artistic bone in your body. Other ideas include: Mosiac, Painting, Pottery, Decoupage, Needle Work or Embroidery, Knitting, Basket Weaving, Beading, Sugar Craft, Gilding, Crochet, Candle Making, Calligraphy, Flower Arranging, Quilling, Pewter... and so on. The list is endless, and you are guaranteed to find something that you will enjoy doing.

The benefits of crafting are endless, including enjoyment, social interaction - if you attend classes, stress relief, instant gratification and self-expression. You will develop your sense of self-worth, and give some value and meaning to your day. Your mind is forced to focus on something unique and nurturing and you can bring back your childlike wonder at colours, shapes and textures. Best of all you can escape to a world away from everyday responsibilities. You will be amazed at your own ability to create new things from scratch.

Here are some suggestions to keep you going when you feel uninspired or have little or no time for yourself:

Write with a different colour pen.

Draw a Flower.

Tie a colourful ribbon around your wrist and think creative thoughts every time you look at it.

Doodle!

Play your music really loudly.

Ask your best friend to come and bake some cookies with you.

Finger Paint!

Troll the internet for pictures to inspire you.

Replace plain buttons on your favourite top with funky or vintage buttons to create a new look.

Cover an old frame with felt to give it a new look.

Do ink blotting like when you were a child.

Colour in a picture.

Duct tape the ends of an old pool noodle together and make a wreath.

Go outside and observe the colour combinations used in nature.

Cut some strips of paper and paper weave them.

This is your life so do what you love, and do it often. And remember this: 'Crafting Forever, Housework Whenever.'

The Law of Attraction and How It Really Works

There have been many books written about the Law of Attraction; however, none of those books gave you the total formula needed to effectively activate the Law of Attraction in yourself as well as in the Universe. There is way more to the Law of Attraction than feeling gratitude. Yes, gratitude plays a big part in attracting good to you, but there are other facets within yourself that must be conquered before you can even begin to think about attracting anything and keeping what you have attracted for that matter.

There are many Universal Laws and all those laws work together in governing man. Universal Laws are not worldly laws, as worldly laws are made by man and actually have man-made names. Universal Laws came from what is, was and will always be perfect since the foundation of the earth; and they really have no names. How can man give names to what is invisible? Universal Laws existed before you were even a thought in the Creator's Mind. They just exist. They are nameless; however, in order for man to understand what was invisibly governing and judging their every move, man had to place names and titles on everything.

When you violate one Universal Law, this means that you violate them all, just as there is no sin greater than another sin. Your emotional and mental state of being is the Law of Attraction in action. If you are feeling negative feelings in any form whatsoever, you can't ask for anything good from the Universe. The Law of Attraction doesn't work that way. Universal Laws work within the purity of mind, soul and spirit. If these three things aren't developed spiritually or whatever you wish to call your "inner self," there is no way, shape, form or fashion that you will be able to utilize the Law of Attraction. Your inner self must be spiritually in tune with All That Is, in order for you to receive the matters of your desires. It is as simple as that. You can continue reading all of those books out there leading you astray, all while you are continuously wondering why the Law of Attraction isn't working for you. This is the harsh reality of deception and those that continue to deceive you on such a grand scale.

You can't get something for nothing in this world or the next. If you want the Law of Attraction to work for you, you will have to sacrifice some things and maybe get rid of some people in your life. You ask the Universe for things that are more than likely material and not spiritual, and you expect to keep what you have already while waiting on the Universe to send you more. Nope! You must make space in your life for the new things that you have asked the Universe for and get rid of the old things. If there are people in your life that have caused you to remain stagnant and you keep them around anyway, don't expect the Universe to send you a blessing of some sort in the form of new friends or a new spouse when you haven't gotten rid of the old friends and old spouse. This is the harsh reality of the Law of Attraction. You have to act first, if you wish the Law of Attraction to work for you.

Despite what you have been told or read in books regarding the Law of Attraction and how the Universe just gives you whatever your mind holds for a certain amount of time, it's not really true. The Law of Attraction is not a "your wish is my command" sort of thing. People have gotten rich off of deceiving you with their books. The Universe does NOT answer just anyone who prays and ask. What you call the Universe is also God, The All, The Self-Created One, The Light, The Most High, The Inconceivable One and many other names; and IT does not just answer all who calls on IT. The Universe is perfect period! And all those whom call upon The Universe must also be perfect in spirit, mind and soul; as this is the only way you can receive anything from THE ONE whom the Law of Attraction came into existence from in the first place. No one on this earth has ever utilized what they so deceitfully call the "Law of Attraction." If so, that would mean that they have literally seen THE FATHER'S face and actually still lived.

How Personal Development Saved My Life

It’s classic: We go about our lives, striving to achieve the next big thing, and the itch to be successful clouds the importance of taking care of our inner self, of nurturing our well-being. Sometimes we have to experience a traumatic event before the alarm bells start screaming in our minds.
Five years ago I experienced that traumatic situation when I was sexually molested and exploited. I fell into a depression, crying myself to sleep every night, eating poorly and losing weight, and I had absolutely no sense of my reality.
Up until that point I had focused solely on getting to the next level in my career as a professional figure skater. And it took a situation that left me mentally paralyzed to wake me up from that on-the-go daze. This adversity pushed me to reanalyze my life and the direction in which I wanted it to go.
I realized I had a choice: I could allow my adversity to negatively affect the rest of my life or view my experience as a way to grow. I decided to take the path of personal growth. I’ve since studied great leaders in the personal development realm—Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Darren Hardy, Brian Tracy and John Maxwell. I’ve learned that one important secret to achieving success—especially in the face of adversity—is being able to nurture your well-being.
I’m sure you’ve experienced setbacks in your life. But no matter where you are right now in life, take the time to listen to what your inner self desperately needs.
As the owner of a lifestyle coaching firm, I’ve gathered valuable information over the years and created a list of four specific ways you can take time for you, to nurture your well-being. Success is important, but so is taking care of yourself, and you can’t have one without the other.
1.  Go out in nature. Spending time in nature is bliss to me. Being outdoors gets your blood flowing and allows you to think more clearly about your life.
2. Unplug from society. My husband and I turn off all technological devices each Saturday. Because we like to plan for our upcoming week on Sundays, Saturdays are our day to spend quality time with each other. Schedule moments to unplug every once in a while and spend your time—undivided attention mandatory—with those you love.
3. Keep a wisdom book. Ever since my experience, I decided to write down all the wisdom that I’ve acquired in my wisdom book. Anything you learn, you must write it down. This is a great way to remember pieces of wise advice, to help integrate them in your life. Once you break open and begin writing in your wisdom book, make sure you also reserve the time to sit quietly and reflect. Take a look at where you currently are and where you want to go.
4. Ask yourself, Why? As you walk through life, one way to nurture your well-being is to make sure you are continuously living in alignment with your values. Ask yourself, Why am I making this decision? If it’s not in alignment with your values, choose another option. At the end of your life, you’ll want to make sure you’ve lived a good life that paralleled what is most meaningful to you.
Life’s too short not to enjoy the journey to success. And success starts with taking care of yourself. We only get one chance at life—why not reach our fullest potential?
