Get Rid Of This Stress-Causing Syndrome And Be Free To Choose Your Goals

No one can deny the fact that scientific and technological advancements have made our lives easier. But the question is whether we are leading a peaceful life or a life full of stress. Obviously, most of us will answer that we face a lot of stress in our day-to-day life. But what is the main reason for this stress?

The main reason, according to experts, is that we continuously keep chasing our dreams. It is not that we must not have dreams. In fact, only if we have dreams and nurture them suitably, we will be able to accomplish big feats. But unfortunately, we compare ourselves with our co-workers, friends, relatives and neighbors and strongly believe that the life of all these people is better than our life. Due to this "comparison syndrome," we keep shifting our goal-posts. That is why we face stress and we are unhappy.

For example, a person with a small car compares himself with a person who owns a bigger vehicle and wants to buy a car that is bigger than the vehicle of the other person. A person who earns $5,000 a month wants to earn $7,500 like his friend or a relative.

Thanks to our relentless chase of our dreams, we end up working longer hours and sacrificing our peace of mind. We face stress that takes a toll on our health. But is there a remedy to this endless chase?

Yes. There is. The remedy is you must own your life and must not allow your comparison syndrome to take control of your life. Unfortunately, the media, the celebrities who often appear on the television shows and our society ensure that we get trapped deeply into this "comparison quagmire." We tend to believe that the artificial happiness we derive when we surpass someone is real. Remember that this artificial happiness can be addictive and hence, we should not become a victim to it.

If you belong to the group of reactive people, you may find it difficult to get out of your comparison mode. On the other hand, if you are proactive, you will be able to stop comparing yourself with others. This may also be a steep road to climb but it is not impossible.

You can desire to have whatever you want in life but this desire should not be the result of comparisons. Of course, there are philosophers who say "contentment consists not in great wealth but in few wants." You may say that this is an audacious suggestion. That is the reason we are just suggesting that you should not allow your comparison syndrome to decide your desires. Once you unshackle yourself from this syndrome, you will have the freedom to set your own goals in life.

Message From the Universe: Never Settling for Less Than What You Deserve

Young woman thinking with pen while working / studying at her desk

"As surely as mountains are to be climbed and oceans sailed, your dreams are meant to come true. This is why you're here, to live the life of your dreams. Not to be tested, challenged, and tried, but to conquer, champion, and rule. Keep going, forge ahead, press on, and the day must dawn when your thirsts shall be quenched, and you, exalted.

Never settle for less, don't ever think it's too late, and never, ever, ever compromise a dream.

Exalting you early,
The Universe"

This is definitely a message that I needed today. Being an entrepreneur, with all 14 projects that I juggle on a daily basis, there are times where I question myself as to the direction that I need to take to bring them all to completion. As a business owner, no one is really telling me if the path taken is the right one. I go with the flow, studying the different options and choosing the best one among the many offered. I am not always sure if that chosen one will optimize the end results so I sometimes just take a guess and follow my gut instinct. However, at the end of my tunnel, I do see light. Even though that light is barely enough to clear my path to success, it is still there. The hope that every of my endeavor will eventually break free and help me reach my goals is giving me that energy to push forward no matter what obstacle in front of me.

I know I can't control any of the outcome of my endeavors and live my life in the edge of my seat, with no security blanket, NO salary, NO steady income, NO guarantee whatsoever. Life presents NO certainty whatsoever, and the same goes for relationships. If you expect something to happen and focus too much on that one thing, you will end up being very disappointed. Do not live your life around the hope that your significant other will be with you forever and start developing insecurities in the relationship. You will end up damaging what can be something great to a guaranteed demise and destruction. Let the relationship develop and go with the flow. Do not worry about the "if's" and the "how's", focus on the NOW. It will help you guarantee a more peaceful life.

How To Simplify Life When You Have Kids

Life can be hectic and chaotic in general, but add kids into the mix and it seems to double responsibilities and obligations. If you have children, it's even more important to simplify your life, not only for your sanity but also to be a good role model for them. Teach them early on that no matter what society says, they can choose to live a simple, peaceful life. Below are 4 simple tips on how you can start doing so.

#1 Have each child choose one extracurricular activity

Some parents are run ragged by getting their kids to all their various activities. This is certainly the case when there are several children in the family. Decide now that each child can choose only one extracurricular activity per year or season, depending on how much you feel you can handle. They may grumble in the beginning, but they too will enjoy a less stressful schedule.

#2 Create an out-the-door basket

Set up an area right beside the door that you go out of in the mornings and designate a basket for each child (and adult). Before bed, each person is responsible for gathering up everything they need to take with them the next day and putting it in their basket. This makes mornings go much smoother!

#3 Create a weekly lunch menu

Before you go shopping for the week, sit everyone down and come up with one lunch menu for everyone for the week, with very little variation. In other words, no one is allowed stuff that no one else likes. They can have that at home during the week.

For example, buy turkey and ham and the kind of cheese everyone agrees on. Buy one or two types of fruit and vegetables only. Purchase one type of bread that everyone likes, even if it's not their favorite. Then on Sunday late afternoon, gather everyone in an assembly line and together, make all the lunches for the week at once. Since there's very little variation, this will make it go quickly and be one less thing you have to do each morning during the week.

#4 Move more slowly

No matter what you do. Build in more time between activities so you aren't rushing through eating dinner, for example, so you can get homework and dishes right away. Set rules for no running in the house, no dashing out the door without sitting down to breakfast. Start savoring your time with your family, it's one of the best things you can do for all of you.

How To Correct Injustice - Positive And Effective Change

Image result for make peace

This article is about the common frustration of facing someone who is doing something you consider very wrong, either to you or in general.

When faced with a situation in which someone is cheating or hurting you, and you feel a tremendous injustice is done, leaving you very confused by the incomprehensible actions of that person, you may find yourself very angry.

A feeling of revenge or you may deem it a sense of delivering justice falls upon you. Giving it objective thought, it really is a desire for revenge even if you want to call it correcting a wrong.

When done out of anger, there can be no balancing correction, the only possible result is a hurt for hurt. These situations can never resolve or bring true justice, they can only make you feel better for a short while.

The anger you feel is in a large part due to not being able to understand why or how a person could do what they did, and your pain is in a large part from the confusion rather than the results of the actions.

The ego also gets into play with your feeling cheated and hurt and someone else getting away with something they do not deserve. It may not even involve you, but the situation is the same, someone hurts someone else and gets away with it.

If you attack with anger, the only thing that will result is a greater fight and you suffering in your anger. Go ahead, be angry but you will burn in your own anger. Is that going to help make you feel better?

When you truly understand someone, you cannot be angry. Think about that. You may not agree, but you cannot be angry when you understand the reason for someone's actions.

Now we must examine why we cannot understand someone's so called evil actions. Simply because of your own ego arrogance. You are making a statement that you are right and they are wrong. But they would say that they are right and you are wrong. So unless one of you is God, then who is to say who is right. That is just a matter of opinion and the source of war.

When you apply humility to the freedom that every human being should have to believe in what they want, simply because you want that freedom, and thus you must offer that same freedom to another, you could open you mind to understand them.

With understanding, anger dissolves. When anger dissolves you no longer are in conflict and war with that person. And now a very simple conclusion to this article and the way to resolve almost all conflicts.

Who is more likely to be able to make a person understand that what they did is wrong and correct or at least stop it? The angry attacker, or someone in harmony and understanding with their thoughts?

When you accept that humans are in general scared, greedy, foolish and in some cases pretty nasty and selfish, disregarding any other living creatures rights to a peaceful life, all due to their own personal fears about their own survival, you will know what drives that person to do what they did.

Let me ask all the women readers a question; Would you be a prostitute? You may say no, but I would say almost every one of you would. All you need is the right circumstances.

If you had three kids and you are a single mother and the only way to feed your children or get them medical care to save their lives due to being so desperate that there was no choice, or perhaps if a man put a gun to your children's head and offered you a choice to save their life, would you then prostitute yourself for the sake of your children's lives?

In general, we are very fortunate, but in reality there are a myriad of distorted and perhaps unjustified fears that rule all of us. Most of us thankfully are never pushed to that situation, but just consider that you do not know what drives a person, what formed them when they were young, and open your mind to the reality that they feel justified in what they did, or in their excuses to avoid taking responsibility.

Being angry will rarely correct what was done, and it will just make you sick and waste more time and energy. Open your mind, understand that you may not understand but that there is a valid reason in that person's mind, and accept the sad fact of life which is; Life is not always fair.

There are times to stand up for your rights, but if you are driven with anger, you will lose in the end, even if you win. There are times we must simply accept our loss and move on.

Objective is not negative, it is simply what it is.
