5 Easy Ways To Simplify Your Finances Today

Many people ignore their finances as much as possible because thinking or talking about money can be confusing and embarrassing. But getting a handle on your financial situation is a smart and necessary part of a simplified lifestyle. Below are 5 easy ways on how to get your finances in shape and streamlined so you can be a smart money manager without a lot of hassle.

#1 Consolidate accounts
Lots of people have accounts here, there and everywhere due to moving jobs or locations. If you have your banking or retirement savings at a few different locations, consolidate them to one bank or investment firm.

This not only helps you keep better track of where you stand, but you will avoid fees that each institution implements for services or balance restrictions.

#2 Use one credit card
If you want to keep several cards active to improve your credit score, that's fine. But it's tough to pay down debt or even just keep mental track of payments when you use multiple cards. Store the other ones in a safe place and only use one card for everything.

That means only one statement and one payment a month. Since it will be easier to keep track of, you are also less likely to incur late fees and will notice any suspicious card activity faster.

#3 Go paperless
Gone are the days when everyone needed a filing cabinet, and I say good riddance! Make all of your bills paperless and then keep one file in your email system just for bills and receipts.

It's unlikely you will ever need a copy of a statement, but if you do, they will be all right there in one place, safe and sound. Plus, what could you do with that extra space where your filing cabinet now is?

#4 Set up bank auto-pay
Most bills recur monthly with a consistent payment amount. For these bills, set up auto-payments through your bank, not through individual websites. That way you can go to one place to get a snapshot of your financial situation at any given time.

Taking a little time to set this up will save you hours later, and you will never accidentally forget a payment and be charged a hefty fee.

#5 Tickler file
While most bills are the same amount each month, some fluctuate. To deal with these more easily, set up a tickler system in your e-Calendar to remind you a few days before each bill is due. If possible, make it even easier and set up level billing for these accounts.

For example, many gas, electric and water companies offer level billing options based on previous use, so you pay the same amount each month. Then you can add these bills to your bank auto-pay system and forget about it.

3 Areas That The Law of Attraction Helps With In Life

Life can be easy to get lost in. You will find that throughout the years, many different things can manifest that cause you to lose sight of what's important. If you're honest, you'll find that there are curveballs that life can throw at you, and cause problems to come through. Disruption of happiness, as well as anxiety, and more could be the case if you aren't careful. In fact, millions of people are dealing with this overall. The Law of Attraction can change that, and it does so in 3 major areas of life. When you start to break this down, you're going to see that there's a beauty that manifests overall. Focusing on the areas that can improve, you're going to find that your life can change for the better.

Financial Improvements

The first area that seems to benefit from attraction is your finances. The reason why your money situation improves is because you will not be bogged down by issues at work. Instead, you'll turn things around by focusing on positives. You're going to be thankful for the things that you have in place, and will have an infectious movement forward. The joy that you will have will be contagious in your office. You will no longer feel as though your job is tough, as you'll enjoy things a bit more and see a huge jump in your finances, as a result. Managers, and supervisors look for people that can not only get the job done, but have a good attitude about their work, and that's where you are going to be in short order.

Relationship Improvements

Your relationships are going to improve for the better because people want to be with others that are positive. If you are an array of positivity, you will see that people will definitely want to be around you, and your significant other will see you as a vastly improved world view. Your life will change for the better, you will have harmony and peace manifest, and negativity will drop off. Fights, disagreements, and more will also become easier to manage as you will not have the same anxiety that you once had.

Opportunity Improvements

Perhaps the most amazing thing about the Law of Attraction is that you are going to get a lot more opportunities. These include options that are within your job, friendships, and more. The reason why this becomes true is because you will see things differently. When you are offered something new, you will try it, when you want to improve your life, you will. Life will change because you will be offered self-improvement elements that you will not scoff at and it will pay off dividends overall.

This law is something that manifests a world of positivity. It happens slowly, but it stays. When you look for silver linings, you are going to see a beautiful world of opportunity open up. Chase this option a bit, and don't give up if you're not a millionaire overnight. You'll see that greatness will no doubt find you, if you send out the right signals.

Your Limiting Beliefs Are Hurting You

Girl, Women, Sad Girl, Nature, Photomontage, Surrealism

If you are like many of us, you have probably gotten to a point where you have realized that you are not at the place in your life where you had hoped to be. Whether it is your finances, your weight, your relationships, you career or any other area of your life. What most people don't realize is that when you do not have what you desire to have, it is because deep down in your subconscious mind, there are various limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck.

As we have talked about in other articles, these limiting beliefs are not even in our conscious awareness. We may not even know that they exist. Once you are aware of the fact that your limiting beliefs are actually preventing you from achieving what you want, then you can start to dig a little deeper to determine what they are, clear them out and get on your way to achieving those things that you want.

I for one have struggled with beliefs about money. One of the beliefs is that there was "never enough money". Since I truly believed this to the core of me, I would keep manifesting situations of lack and then seeing for myself that there never was enough. I kept reliving the same feelings about money because that is what I truly believed. Part of this was from my parents and some of it was from past religious beliefs telling me that God gives us only what we need for the day. I made up that I could only have enough to get by and no extra. Once I was able to let go and counteract that belief and affirm to myself that there is an endless supply of money in the Universe, the belief lost its grip on me, and money started showing up from unusual sources and various ways.

Sadly, most of us have had these and other beliefs for years and have created multiple layers. We can become aware of one layer and clear it and a couple of days, weeks or months later, it may appear again. It doesn't mean that you never cleared it the first time, but that there are deeper layers for healing. Be patient with yourself as you can eventually clear them and depending on how embedded in your subconscious they are, will determine how easy they are to get rid of. Sometimes they are more of a challenge to get rid of as they have become a part of our identity and we don't know what or who we would be without them.

I recently had to face a painful realization of a belief that I had been holding on to unknown to me. It started to surface a couple of months ago and I faced it and thought I had cleared it. It now sounds like such a ridiculous thought. The belief was " I don't deserve to be happy". If you would have asked me a few months ago, I would have sworn that I knew I deserved to be happy. But deep down, my subconscious mind was resisting this thought and it started to feel really uncomfortable when I would say those words to myself.

I grew up in a chaotic, high stress, abusive household. So as a child, when I may have been feeling happy minding my own business (and I am a naturally happy person) and then out of left field came anger and rage, I may have instantly told myself that I shouldn't be happy or I don't deserve to be. When this pattern continued on a regular basis, I had no choice to say to myself, " See, I was happy and someone got mad at me so clearly I shouldn't be happy".

I continued to seek these types of relationships where there was erratic behavior and raging to confirm that exact subconscious belief. Despite the fact that I always woke up happy, something would always happen, whether it was my own painful thoughts or actions or words by another. I had no idea in my conscious mind until recently when it came blaring to my attention.

As this new and deeper layer came to surface, I became more sensitive and was blaming more because I was feeling uncomfortable. I found myself having a great day and then finding something to turn it rough. How could I be happy if my true belief was I didn't deserve to be? I caught myself starting to sabotage my own happiness and the happiness of others around me to stay aligned with my beliefs. I didn't want them to be happy because then I had to face my own pain. It was quite painful to me at a conscious level because I really wanted to be happy, but somehow, it was like a comfortable slipper for my subconscious mind when I was not happy.

It was a sick cycle and I could not believe what I had created in my mind from the time I was a child. This could have kept me captive for the rest of my life had I not faced it head on due to the fact it was causing problems in my most precious relationship. Life would be great for a quick time but it would never stay that way or even close. I saw what I was doing and had to bring it to a screeching halt. I had no idea where the behavior was coming from and was embarrassed by my unforeseen reactions.

We have all our answers within us and we just have to ask for it to be revealed. I sought the answer within and then I was able to address the belief, release it and counteract it. Wow, it was freedom from bondage I didn't even know I was in.

Sometimes, there is something within us that is not ready to face the truth and it may take a while for the answer to come. If that is the case, be patient and know it is for your highest and best.

Clearing these beliefs may be a breeze for some and more of a challenging for others especially those who grew up in dysfunctional homes. I always remind our readers that although it may be painful to face, inside that Pandora's box is a beautiful treasure chest. Happy treasure hunting! Namaste

4 Simple Steps To Attract Money Into Your Life

Wealth — like happiness, confidence and love — starts from within.
This concept can be difficult to grasp. Most of us are convinced that wealth has everything to do with how much money you have in the bank. And don't get me wrong, I understand that wealth has more than a lot to do with money. In our world, it's nearly impossible to feel wealthy if you don't have the finances to live the life you want.
However, so much of what goes into being wealthy happens way before making money. The greater reality about wealth is this: First and foremost, wealth is a state-of-mind. And when you learn how to have a wealthy state-of-mind, you're in a prime position to attract more money to you.
In this article, I'll teach you four wealth-building practices that will shift your energy from scared and intimidated by money, to feeling empowered with your finances. Your internal-experience with money will completely influence your outer-experience with moneyLearn the essentials of a wealth-mindset, and more opportunities for financial abundance will come to you.
1. Get to know your money.
Anyone who feels disempowered with money has a tendency to ignore their finances. We do this because we're scared and intimated by money.
We avoid our bank accounts. We avoid our bills. We avoid how much debt we have. We avoid it all together, and secretly hope it will solve itself.
But I'm going to let you in on a little secret: it's not going to solve itself.
If you want to create more wealth in your life, you have to get to know your money. In fact, you have to be in the commanding position with it, which means knowing the exact the state of your finances (even if it scares you).
Take small steps to get to know your money. Look at your bank account everyday and instead of spiraling into panic, stretch yourself to feel grateful that you even have a bank account. Appreciate your money and try to see it through the eyes of "I have," rather than, "I don't have."
As you get acquainted with your money, it will become less scary to you, putting you in a commanding position with it. This will draw more wealth to you.
2. Invest in yourself (aka, save your money).
The act of saving money completely outweighs the act of spending unconsciously and frivolously.
People don't like saving money because it makes them feel "restricted," and therefore disempowered with money. If you feel this way, I want to challenge you to experience saving in a new way: as spending money on yourself.
Saving money allows your bank account to grow and grow. This will eventually give you a cushion of money, which helps you feel safe and proud of what you have. Anytime you choose not to spend money, you truly are spending money on yourself and your wealth state-of-mind.
By consciously deciding to save, your money and your financial-confidence will grow, attracting more abundance to you.
3. Uncover your programed fears about money.
The way your family dealt with money in the past has a huge influence on how you deal with money today. By understanding the financial fears and patterns that were passed on to you, you can move beyond them, creating a new wealth-mindset that's more suitable for you now.
In order to uncover your pre-programed fears about money, ask yourself: What did my parents fear about money? How did my parents act with money? How do I act with money in a similar way?
This knowledge will create a platform for you to change your experience with money, rather than unconsciously doing what you were taught to do.
4. Find wealth in things that are free or close to it.
Have you ever seen a sunset that's so beautiful it overwhelms you? Have you ever eaten a meal that's so fantastic, you can't believe that you get to experience it?
These are examples of pure, potent and free experiences of abundance, and they're happening all the time.
The more you orient yourself to the "free" wealth that life offers you, the wealthier you'll feel. And because life mirrors our internal state back to us, the wealthier you feel on the inside, the more wealth you'll create in your life, too.
If you want to experience financial abundance for yourself, take the necessary steps to orient your inner-world to a wealthier state-of-being. Doing so will not only make you feel like a wealthier person with what you've got, but it will also automatically draw more opportunities for financial abundance to you.

THE SURPRISING WAY MONEY AFFECTS YOUR RELATIONSHIP

Here's a fun game - guess what the number one thing that couples argue about is?

Yep, that's right - it's all about the money, baby (followed closely by leaving wet towels on the floor. OK, not really but it's so annoying when men do that!).
According to a recent Harris Interactive poll of over 1,000 adults, finances are the most common source of fighting among couples - provoking on average three arguments per month.

But here's the real (and much more exciting) news. In a new survey by Money magazine, 56 percent of men who earn the same or less than their partners reported having a 'hot' or 'very good' sex life, compared to just 43 percent of husbands who out-earn their wives. Score!
So, what's going on?
According to Alix Fox, Durex Real Feel Sexpert, there are a number of reasons why this might be the case. 'Traditional (and outdated, sexist) societal models suggest that men should be the main breadwinners in a household; if they’re not, they may feel they have to compensate by contributing to the relationship in other ways, such as becoming more skilled lovers.'
'However many men are simply more attracted to ambitious, high-achieving women,' she adds. 'They don’t find their partner’s success intimidating or emasculating. Instead, they desire and thus foster more balanced relationships. If they view their wives as equals, they’re more likely to practice good communication and fairer give-and-take in their interactions.'
Whatever the reason, we think this is great news for women because as Mad Men's January Jones so eloquently announced last week on Instagram - #bitchesbebossesnow. Couldn't have said it better ourselves, really.
