Ways To Overcome Anxiety And Get The Life You Want

The answer is: Ways to overcome anxiety and fear! Yes, people live every day in worry and fear.

Fear of losing their wealth, fear of losing family and loved ones, fear and worry of making the wrong decisions, fear of being themselves, worry of maturing, worry of making decisions and choices.

The list continues, and is why there is need to begin conquering anxiety.

The leading cause of people not fulfilling their dreams is NOT the fear of failure - it's the fear of success!

The fear of living life to the fullest might be holding you back, and is why you must begin to get rid of fear and anxiety.

Most people live their lives in the grip of this fear and they aren't even aware that it has control over them!

The worry and fear is the one thing that can turn your monetary flexibility, caring relationships, and a substantial and satisfying life into a pattern of habits consisting of procrastination, self-sabotage and other ego-based wrong-minded practices.

The Course in Miracles states, "The ego makes no attempt to understand this, and it is clearly not understandable, but the ego does make every attempt to demonstrate it, and this it does constantly."

The ego has a foundation built of worry and fear.

Fear and worry is the control problem in your life today. The two concerns you have to get rid of fear and anxiety are:

- Which fear has the most control over your behavior?

- Is it the fear of failure, the worry of rejection, fear of relationships, the fear of success, or is it all of them?

Whatever it is, fear does NOT want you to face it!

The Course in Miracles further states, "You must recognize that the last thing the ego wishes you to realize is that you are afraid of it."

How do I interrupt ego-based wrong-minded habits that I have developed as a means of security from this fear?

How do I get rid of fear and anxiety going on within me?

When it comes to ways to overcome anxiety and fear, these are the two most significant concerns. If you can address these two concerns, your life will permanently change!

The reality of worry and fear is that it is human, and human is ego, and is a part of life while in this world. Some fear is even healthy, which we may call, right-minded!

These are: fear of falling, fear of violent noises, and worry and fear of abandonment.

Consider that; it is fear that pumps endorphins and adrenaline through your heart making you leave from a scenario that is truly, truly seriously risky.

Many times it is our desire to get rid of fear and anxiety that is holding us back from our dreams when we look to God and ask for help.

Those were probably times of extreme fear.

Why do people let fear control their lives, actions and beliefs? The response is the difference in between responding to fear and acting in worry.

Children normally respond intuitively to fear, which is suitable at this age.

The majority of grownups do not make the distinction in how to get rid of fear and anxiety, as when they were a child, and acting with their intellect when handling fear.

Individuals react intuitively to fear by either rejecting it or fleeing from it.

Yes, a life of purpose, and to get the life you want to live.

To a life of success!

3 Steps to Stop Your Procrastination With a Little Communication

Finding time to follow through on a task or get started on a project can be a challenge -- even when you feel eager to get started.

So, imagine how hard it is to find that time when some part of you is not on board with the undertaking. This is when you're likely to get caught up in procrastination -- and then frustration. It's a predictable pattern, and it's one that hundreds upon hundreds of smart, talented people get entangled in, much to their dismay.

Are you one of them?

Don't get discouraged or get down on yourself. Let's focus instead on how you can address this time challenge.

Here are 3 steps you can take any time to gather the information you need to make different time choices for yourself.

Notice that I'm talking about information. Each of these 3 steps has to do with communicating with or observing something about yourself. The more you can simply observe, removing judgment and self-criticism from the equation, the more information you'll gain.

3 Steps to Stop Procrastinating

  • First, you need to have a way of knowing when you are procrastinating. Do you notice that an item keeps moving from day-to-day-to-day on your to do list without your touching it? After day 4, you are probably procrastinating and need to take a deeper look.
  • Take the time to ask yourself some key questions about this item and your feelings about it. The questions may vary, but be sure to explore how you feel about accomplishing it. Could fear of success be getting in your way? Other helpful questions to ask include:

  1. What am I waiting for?
  2. When is a good time to do it?
  3. How will I know it's the right time?

  • Listen, with your full attention, to your answers. Really engage with yourself. This builds trust and helps you sustain a solid connection with yourself for the long haul!

One of the people we are most likely to lose touch with - especially when life gets hectic - is ourselves. When this happens, rebelliousness, procrastination, and other self-defeating patterns can set in and rob you of precious time.

This kind of open self-communication is key to making informed time choices and avoiding the procrastination trap. Have you tried asking yourself some questions like this... and listening to your answers? I'd love to hear how it works for you!

How Negative Thoughts Keep Us From Going After Our Dreams and Some Tools to Silence Them

Negative thoughts can come in many different formats:

1. Fear of failure.

This is probably the most common negative thought. It's the fear of giving it a shot and falling flat on your face. I mean, seriously how embarrassing? You know what; you need to get a grip. If every big thinker, entrepreneur and inventor was afraid of failure we would live in a pretty crap world. Those that take the biggest risks often gain the biggest rewards. So what if you screw up a few times on the way. Look back to the lives of some of the world's most famous innovators. Take for instance Steve jobs or Richard Branson, both household names and big hitters in the business world. They screwed up massively on the road to success. Look at the impact they had.

Don't become crippled by the fear. Look it straight in the eye and turn it into a positive. That fear can become adrenaline and keep you on your toes. It can keep the momentum going when your drive and ambition is flagging. Look fear of failure in the face and tell it where to go. You won't look back. Guaranteed.

2. Fear of success.

Not so common, but this is a true concept. Sticking to the routine and being the same as everyone else is easy. Moaning with mates is normal. Sitting around in the pub and talking about your big business plan is common. But imagine being successful and your business plan going to the next level. That would mean serious time and commitment, maybe quitting your full time job. This isn't your side hustle.

Taking plans to the next level can often mean a leap of faith, a leap into the unknown. People like to whine but they often don't like the reality of change. Having a monthly salary and a pension is safe. Start having to work for your own income or having others rely on you for their pay check is certainly not easy. Be brave and make the jump. Don't live with regrets.

3. Fear of what others think.

What others think can have such a huge impact on our mind sets and decisions. Learn to walk your own road. Perhaps your parents, partner or mates think your idea is strange or stupid? Perhaps you don't even want to share it with anyone. Those closest to you will care about you greatly. However, they may not have your best interests at heart. They may think a stable 9-5 job and saving for a mortgage is the ultimate goal. Yes that is their dream, and don't get me wrong it's a great goal to have, but life is too bloody short to live your life according to the expectations of others. We don't want to encourage anyone to start major family feuds but this is your dream. Don't be embarrassed if you have an awesome idea-tell the world.

These are just a few examples of the types of negative thoughts that can occur. There are a ton of other negative thoughts, lack of self confidence, fear of public speaking etc-the list is endless. We have some amazing tips to help you overcome those negatives beliefs so you can start moving forward with your goals today.

1. Visualise the success to become motivated and excited.

Visualisation is a great tool for getting ahead. Sometimes it can be impossible to see where you want to be. Take some time to visualise where you want to see yourself. Is it finishing education and getting a sought after post graduation job? Perhaps it's quitting the workplace and going freelance? It maybe running your own empire and having one hundred staff on the payroll? Whatever the dream is be sure to visualise yourself on the road to success and when you arrive. It's an exceptionally powerful tool. Don't underestimate it.

2. Read up on inspirational figures.

Who inspires you? Have you any individuals you really aspire to be like? We love a good business autobiography. Reading up on the lives and often the struggles of inspirational figures can be a serious source of motivation. You won't have to follow their path to the top, but seeing their route can help you on yours.

3. Block out negativity and jealousy by choosing not to listen.

You have decided where you want to be. Don't let the narrow mindedness and jealousy of others derail you. Human beings are simple creatures. They are self absorbed and often jealous. Be firm in your beliefs and attack your goals 100%.

4. Seek out positive influences.

This could be friends, family or an online community. Hey it might even be an inspirational Instagram account. I mean sometimes it's impossible not to be motivated by those quotes! Now you have blocked the negativity it is time to seek out the positivity. Print out an inspiring quote and hang it on the wall. Read motivational blogs and books. Listen to some podcasts and watch some YouTube videos There is an endless selection of positive material out there. Not all of it will influence you. Even if one small suggestion resonates with you and makes an impact then it's worth it. What are you waiting for?

5. Write down your goals and check in regularly with them.

#goals- probably one over the most overused hashtags on the planet! But hey, you know it makes sense. Goals are where it's at. If you have a vague goal in your mind floating around, how do you expect it to come into play? Here's the deal- it won't. It will be like those endless to do lists, plans to lose 20 kilos or run that marathon. That stuff isn't ever getting done. If you're serious about this you need to treat it with the respect it deserves. Take a notebook and write down your goals. Plan a realistic way to get there. Now don't just shove the book under the bed. Check in. Regularly. We mean weekly, fortnightly, whatever. Hold yourself accountable. What small steps have you taken to get a step closer to your goals? This tool is a great reality check and push to get you into action. Did you know that how you effectively manage and smash your goals is different for each person depending on your personality.

We don't like being different. Tall Poppy Syndrome, the fear of standing out is all too common. It's ridiculous; don't be ashamed of being different, being passionate and being inspired. Don't allow yourself to be undermined by others and their opinions.

Accept that those that wish to get ahead often take risks. The rewards will be epic. Push those negative thoughts out of your mind and keep pushing forward.

7 Top Causes of Procrastination: Deal With It Efficiently

Procrastination: What does It Mean?

What is procrastination? What are the top causes of procrastination? Very simply, procrastination means, the action of delaying or postponing something. According to Wikipedia: "Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task which needs to be accomplished. It is the practice of doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones or carrying out less urgent tasks instead of more urgent ones, thus putting off impending tasks to a later time. Sometimes, procrastination takes place until the "last minute" before a deadline. Procrastination can take hold on any aspect of life - putting off cleaning the stove, repairing a leaky roof, seeing a doctor or dentist, submitting a job report or academic assignment or broaching a stressful issue with a partner. Procrastination can lead to feelings of guilt, inadequacy, depression and self-doubt. So, what are the top causes of procrastination?

Let's proceed with it so that procrastination can be avoided!

7 Top Causes of Procrastination

Do you know the reasons why you procrastinate? They may be different to those of another person. The reasons for procrastination relate to a feeling, belief and the task at hand. Only when you identify them can you do something about it.

Here are the seven top causes of procrastination:

Distraction:
Gossip, text messages, Facebook and e-mail are some reasons why people procrastinate. There are even people who get distracted because they find or just feel something is out of place on their desk. The average employee wastes up to 2 hours or more a day on tasks that have nothing to do with work.

Fear of success:
To be successful comes with a price to pay. This may be longer working hours, new enemies, isolation from family, etc. Basically, you fear of what success will bring and procrastination grasps you.

Fear of failure:
What would you do if it weren't possible for you to fail? Fear ensures your survival but is also one of the reasons for procrastination. You may think that failing is worse than not even trying. So you protect yourself by putting things off.

Perfectionism:
Trying to do a perfect task puts a lot of pressure on you, making you feel so stressed that you procrastinate. Maybe parents set expectations that are too high, you are concerned with what others think or you constantly criticize your work. Any situation where you feel evaluated has a chance to be one of the reasons why people procrastinate.

Lack of skills:
Not knowing how to do a task makes it more difficult than it has to be. By nature, we tend to avoid difficult things and take care of those that are easy. You may have a tough time admitting your skill deficits because you do not want to come across as a good-for-nothing.

Lack of interest:
Let's say you're not interested in doing a task, at least at the moment. By putting it off, you feel like you are losing nothing of value. However, doing so can result counterproductive. In life, there are times when you have to complete certain tasks you do not like to do.

Lack of rewards
Another of the reasons for procrastination is because their efforts are never rewarded. This is not necessarily a responsibility of your boss. Promising yourself to watch that exciting new movie, spend time with friends or some other fun activity can serve you to keep going. Remember that rewards are not only external but also internal, so make sure to give yourself credit for your work.

Are the above the only reasons why people procrastinate? Certainly not, but they are the top causes of procrastination. You can uncover more of them by observing yourself while doing a task.

Life is short. Everyone wants to be succeed in life. But what makes a person's life a success is still a big question. Many attributes are related to success that ranges from physical to mental counts, hard skills to soft skills, hard works, thought-process, dreams, reality, happiness, hardship and what not!
Factors that have an effect on and affect the success in life also vary. In a broader aspect, three things actually determine the ultimate SUCCESS of life:
• Health
• Skills
• Money

Are You Your Worst Enemy?

"Wow! Congratulations on a job well done!" I say to Sue, my client. She says, "I was just lucky."

I know that seems like no big deal, but it is. This is a very simple example of a fear of success. Most people want to succeed, but as soon as they do, what often ensues is a fear of success, and it is often invisible to themselves. They begin doing things to self-sabotage.

When you cannot own your power, own your success, own your accomplishments, you are afraid of success. When I inquire with my clients, (and I have dealt with this myself), there is something that is hidden from view. What is hidden is some version of the questions: "If I am highly successful, people (fill in the blank name) will expect it from me-how will I keep it up or do better?" OR "What if it was a fluke, and I fail, what will they think of me then?" Or "I don't want anyone to count on me, then I will have to xxxx (fill in the blank for yourself (e.g. perform, do something more than I want, etc.).

If you can dismiss your success with it is luck or you got a break or it was somehow a fluke or some entity/power had you do it, you don't have to own your own greatness, your own power. With owning your power, your success, your brilliance, comes being responsible for it as well. And frankly, in a general sense, we, as individuals don't want to be responsible for a lot of things.

Consider this---If I am responsible, people (or a person) will expect me to keep doing great things and will expect more from me. With that expectation, comes a fear of failing to keep it up. If I fail, they will be disappointed or mad or some version of upset. I will be embarrassed or ashamed and will look like a fool. I will avoid that at all costs. We, as individuals, do not want to look stupid or bad in any way, so we sabotage ourselves if there is any risk of this.

Sound familiar? I invite you to look at this for yourself. This is incredibly common. I know it looks like you are really trying to be more and more successful, but if you are willing, you may discover you are really afraid to succeed. You often sabotage your own success this way and are your own worst enemy.

If you want to succeed, you will need to allow yourself to get past your self sabotaging behavior. Next time you have a success and you want to dismiss it as anything other than you did a great job, I invite you to ask yourself this simple line of questions:

1. What am I afraid of?

2. If that happens, what is the worst thing that could happen?

3. If that worst thing does happen, will I be OK?

Asking yourself these simple questions allows you to be consciously aware of your own self sabotage and allows you to break your habit. Then, own your power and your greatness knowing you can survive if you have a failure in the future and are disappointed or look bad.

This may seem simplistic, but I can tell you in coaching thousands of people, it is very impactful. This process has caused many people to stop being their own worst enemy and take their success to the next level! I invite you to do the same.

Kill Your Fears and Live an Exciting Life

Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of criticism, fear of change, fear of the unknown. There are hundreds of things you can be fearful about. Where do fears come from? There is only one certainty and that is we will all die one day! If you let fears take over your life you will never attempt anything, your life will become very narrow and restricted. Is that what you want for yourself or your children?

Encourage growth and freedom and a sense of adventure. Try new things, new food, new destinations for holidays, new routes to work. Expand your horizons in every area. Change careers if you are not satisfied where you are, learn a new language, challenge yourself daily. Question your beliefs, ask yourself what you really want.

Did you know if you change the order of your beliefs, you change the way you think. Do it and see the difference. Make a list of things you hold dear to you, like: security, travel, love, family etc. then reorder them in the opposite direction, things you thought important are now at the bottom, and less important things at the top and see the world through a different perspective and you will discover a completely different viewpoint.

To explore this further, read Anthony Robins "The Giant Within."

Now back to your fears, challenge them, take one of them and take it apart, what is it really, probably nothing more than a "what if," a response to an imagined event; fancy being worried by something that might never happen, something as simple as that. Or maybe there is a 50/50 chance of your fear coming true, that is equal chances either way.

So take some calculated risks, measure the chance of success and face your fears, they are likely to melt away when challenged anyway, and you will have a great sense of achievement. Death is the only certainty, we will all die one day so make the most of every day, and you won't fear death either.

What will your challenge be? Mine was starting an online business against the doubts of my family, and now my second adventure, we have bought a house in Spain and winter here, working on my laptop.

Have you ever considered starting an online business, well a simple way to set up online is affiliate marketing? Enlist the guidance of a mentor, providing products sales pages and training; (much simpler than doing it all yourself) and because much of the work is done for you, you can start earning faster.

So whatever your fears face them, look them in the eye and challenge them, and you will have a much more exciting life, and feel the freedom: just do it.

Books to help you:

"Awaken the Giant Within" by Anthony Robbins.

"The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy.

"Speed Reading and Speed Memory" by Tony Bazan

How to Overcome the Fear of Success

Entrepreneurs are known for being risk takers. We jump in with both feet knowing we could fail. And when we do fail, it doesn’t keep us from jumping in with both feet again. There is no fear of failure. Failure just means we need to try something different.
Fear of success? Now THAT'S the doozy.
Working with entrepreneurs of all ages, backgrounds and skills over the years, I’ve found there’s only one thing standing in the way of our success. Can you guess what it is? Point at yourself. It’s you. It’s me. It’s us.
We set deadlines, create to-do lists, write marketing plans, network like crazy and tell people about our incredible ideas. Nothing else is in the way of getting us to where we want to go, except self-sabotage -- the pesky excuses why we didn’t get something done, telling ourselves mediocre is good enough or believing that huge goal we set is just too big.
The person who created the fake list of excuses is the person standing in our way. We can’t blame our families, upbringing, spouses, kids, circumstances or clients. It’s our fault, not theirs. It’s not because we can’t do the big thing; it’s just because we are afraid of the results.
So, what if you ARE successful? You might make a huge difference? Sounds terrible. Oh, not so terrible, huh? Because making a huge difference is what you’re meant to do, what you were created to do,  why you were put on this earth. (Even if it’s a huge difference in one person’s life.)
And I’m pointing at myself while I write this. As I’ve been transitioning my own business over the last two years, I’ve watched others do this and then realized that I too have been putting off the inevitable change. I’ve made excuses. Caused distractions. Staged events that would get in the way of success.
Because I’m terrified of success. Of the overwhelming amount of lives I can change, because I have that power inside of me. So, what if I’m successful? The world might be just that much sweeter because there are other humans out there who are doing what they’re called to do while supporting themselves and helping others. Sounds horrible, huh?
Ask yourself the same questions I’ve been asking myself:

Why am I standing in my own way?

Our pasts have a way of creeping in and being a part of our future. We can be such heavy objects to move out of the way. What do you need to let go of? What words have others said that still fill your mind?

What does success look like to me?

Success can be an ethereal thing unless we define it. Getting clear on your goals is key to know what success looks like. And it can't be a moving target. Will you hit a certain monetary goal? Will you help a certain number of people? Are there smaller successes along the way you can set to get to your big success?

What happens when I am successful?

It can be a huge release to finally hit success, but what will happen you finally get there? Will you set another goal? Will you celebrate? Will you find a new direction? Will you quit?
Because you will be successful if you decide you’re going to be. Get out of your own way and quit with the excuses.

How to Avoid Self Sabotage

it is very easy to self-sabotage. Statistics prove that internal stress is the key factor in self-sabotage. More important, we sabotage because we focus on negative aspects; we focus on failure. Research shows that individuals have a fear of failure, but too often the real problem is fear of success. Failure is a manifestation of looking at the past. Our success lies in the future. Self-sabotage is really a form of denial. It also brings up the question of what is versus what can be. To avoid sabotage you must respect YOU and you must view the future. You must learn to love yourself.
Are you going to allow the negative self-talk or are you going to build a better future, brick by brick? There are seven vital techniques to avert sabotage.
1. Self-Talk - Terminate the negative self-talk. Negative behavior and talk stimulates depression and anxiety. You must look in the mirror; understand the positive aspects you provide. Create positive speak, avoid negative terminology, and change your body mechanics. Smile at others and smile at yourself.
2. Failure - Simply avoid it. Do the things you hate to do first. Sabotage stems from individuals believing they will fail if they attempt something uncomfortable. Not true. Failure is learning, creativity, and innovation. Some of our famous ancestors failed and created great things. King, Lincoln, Bell, and others believed they failed, only to have their dreams come true. Stop worrying about failure; it is the best education. However, in order to fail you must confront it head on and remove yourself from the comfort zone. Stop procrastinating today!
3. Positive People - Depression and anxiety manifest when we gather with other negative people. Avert disaster by moving away from those that depress you. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill discusses the power of the Mastermind, small groups that share similar desires educating each other. Move away from those that anger you and befriend those that awaken your dreams, incite your desires, and expose your creativity.
4. Passion - Conviction and love is movement. Passion ignites the mind and the soul. Self-sabotage arrives when you work at a job. Life is too short for employment with organizations that treat you as a liability. Moreover, working for something that you abhor makes you remorseful. Find opportunities that ignite your spirit and provide a sense of purpose.
5. Self-Esteem/Confidence - Self-sabotage requires the elimination of limiting beliefs. What is a limiting belief? Limiting beliefs are those things you believe that place limitations on your abilities. Such beliefs are true and others false, but we use them as a brake to deter us from making what appears impossible, possible. For example, many individuals state, "I do not have proper experience—I will not get the job I want." Alternatively, others state "I do not have any luck—I will never meet the decision maker." The level of experience might be true. Your level of experience and skill might hinder certain jobs but if you do not apply, you do not get the job! If you desire luck, try sitting in a gambling hall. Luck does not create opportunities; experience, aggression, and focus get the decision maker.
Our mind creates limitations from things we experience and habits we form. You must reset your internal GPS to determination, then you set you mind to accomplish anything you desire. Don't believe it? Determination ended a bloody Civil War, brought a man to the moon and gave us our first African American president! Confidence begins with a belief in YOU!
6. Pleasure - The easiest method for ending self-sabotage is doing pleasurable things. Misery creates company, but pleasure manifests power. Take the time to do things you love to do: listen to music, read a book, take a walk. Scientists have proved that our mind requires rest. Thinking of negative issues and limiting beliefs creates energy and polarizes our thinking. Conducting pleasurable activities produces endorphins in the brain that relax the mind and decrease our breathing and heart rate.
7. Action - The difference between "fortunate" and insignificant individuals: they take action. Self-sabotage is embodied from habits. Detaching habits takes time: 21 days exactly. If you truly desire change then you must take actionable steps to eliminate your self-sabotage. Set time frames that are reasonable.
Creating a toned and symmetrical body takes time and energy. You cannot go to the gymnasium once and expect a favorable result. Change takes time, effort, and, most important, discomfort. Get out of your comfort zone, indulge in (good) pain, and eradicate self-sabotage forever!
