5 Tips to Build a Positive Life

Keep track of things you are grateful for from that day.

This is often something that is suggested to maintain a positive outlook because it can be very effective when you focus on the good things that have happened that day. I personally try to write down at least 5 things that happened that day that I am thankful for. It doesn't have to be something big, even little things have the ability to show us that the world and your life is much more bright than it might sometimes seem

Try and do something nice for someone else.

Serving others is a great way to build a positive life. While I keep a gratitude journal I make it a goal to make it into another person's journal each day (even if they don't keep one). Adding your own light to the world can make it just a little bit brighter even if you're not the one that is receiving the kind action. Try and add your light through small efforts every day. This can be something as simple as holding doors open for others or giving a friend an unexpected call.

Challenge one of your fears.

This is the most challenging of the 5 tips. Facing your fears is incredibly difficult for most people but, when you are able to even attempt overcoming a fear, it can fill you with a lot of self-confidence. Set a goal to overcome a different fear within the next month or two. This might seem like an incredibly hard goal to reach but, through your own efforts, you can really brighten your image of yourself and your overall life. Also decreasing the number of things you are afraid of gives you less anxiety in your life.

Take Time for Yourself.

This tip is very beneficial for a healthy life in a lot of ways. Setting a time apart for yourself each day gives you some time to relax from the stress of your life and distract yourself from the negative aspects of the world. A good goal to shoot for is one hour a day for you to relax and rewind. You can spend this in any way you like but, try and make the activity you do not too taxing that it could possibly add to the stress you already have in your life. Maybe you can start a new hobby to fill this time. Improving at something that you are just starting is also a good way to build confidence.

Build a Healthy Schedule.

Building a healthy schedule is a fantastic way to build positivity in your life. Try and set up goals for regular aspects of your life like school, work, and so on. Also, you want to have a schedule set to take care of your own body. This means setting good eating and workout habits. Setting a solid schedule that has clear goals makes it easier to see bright spots and improvements in these aspects of your life. Everyone feels better when they see some sort of improvement in their life and the best way to improve is to set goals and to follow through with them.

Write down the steps you think will help you build a more positive life and hang them somewhere you will see daily. Then visualize yourself fulfilling those tasks. Also, another good way to stay motivated is to confide in someone you know your goals and have them follow up with you at different points in the future. This makes you accountable to that person as well as yourself. Every person on this earth can find the positive of their life and that includes you. So get out there and find the happy!

Solid Advice For Accepting And Effectively Developing Yourself

Taking a step into the wondrous and complex land of developing yourself for the very first time might feel a tad bit daunting. If you do however become mindful of the helpful tips as listed below, you will soon find yourself living a more positive life and feeling better than you ever have before.

1 - Getting an accurate picture of yourself and to learn wisdom through serving others is one of the best ways to become more enlightened. Whether you enjoy volunteering at a homeless shelter, helping kids at your church or cleaning up the environment, service projects can strengthen your sense of purpose and your connection to your fellow human beings.

2 - Not beating yourself up when you make a mistake, is another great self-help tip. We are all human and we all make mistakes. If you beat yourself up because you're not perfect, you'll never be happy. Learning how to live with mistakes will make you much happier.

3 - Try cutting down on the amount of caffeine that you consume on a daily basis. Many times it can negatively affect your sleeping habits by causing issues like insomnia. For some people, caffeine can cause headaches and various digestion problems. Do your best to cut down on it every day to see if you feel better.

4 - Make an effort to do something that you absolutely dislike doing. Ask yourself why you feel that way, and what you can do to change your mindset. Many times, people avoid or dislike situations that make them feel inept or unprepared. Prepare yourself, then jump in headlong. This will increase your confidence and make you a more efficient person.

5 - Always carry a book or something productive to do with your hands. Whether we spend it waiting in the doctor's office or on public transit, idle time is wasted time. Take along a book or perhaps some handwork to more productively occupy the time that would be wasted. You'll be amazed at how much more you can accomplish in a day.

6 - It is entirely acceptable to be less than perfect, so always remember that. Perfection leaves no room for learning or improvement, yet these are two of the things that can make life so exciting and enjoyable. Assess your imperfections to determine what their likely effects are on your life. More than likely, you will find that even your flaws shape who you are and how you live.

7 - Consciously avoid anxiety and dread which often result from an individual's inability (or refusal) to accept that not everything in life is certain. It simply is impossible to know the full details of something, including whether or not it will even occur. Eliminate this anxiety by coming to terms with the very real nature of uncertainty. Focusing all of your mental resources on a worrisome potential consequence will not determine whether or not the event will even occur.

If you have read this far, then it is time to start applying some of the helpful tips as listed above. It can be done in a gradual manner, but will eventually make you feel a bit more at ease in the land of self-help. You now have the tools and it's time to use them. You should feel empowered and ready to begin your life anew by making your existence more positive.

7 Powers of Positive Thinking

Positive thinking is a gateway to happiness! Once we rid our minds of negativity, only positive thoughts will be able to grow. If you find yourself wondering what the benefits of positive thinking are, this article is for you. Positive thinking is something that takes time to practice, but once you start becoming a routine positive thinker, you will absolutely see major changes in your life and in the life of those around you! Read on to learn more about 7 of the powers that positive thinking has!

1 . Positivity changes our daily mood

“Our happiness depends on the habit of mind we cultivate.”
― Norman Vincent Peale, The Power of Positive Thinking
If you think positive thoughts you’re more likely to be happy. Positive thinking leads to a more positive life. The more you think positive, the easier it is to change negative thoughts into positive thinking
2. Positivity is contagious

“There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it.” – Edith Wharton
If you begin thinking positive, others around you will feel the difference in their own lives. Be a candle or a be a mirror, either way positivity radiates and can light up other people’s lives.
3. Positivity makes us more content with what we have

“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough” ― Oprah Winfrey
You can either be happy for your life or wish life was different. Thinking positive about your life and the things that you have accomplished will make life seem more satisfying. Don't think about the things you want, focus on what you have!
“Yes We Can!”
― Barack Obama
Positivity is a motivator. Once you change your thought process from “it’s too hard” to “hard as it may seem, I can do this” your life will dramatically change. The things you once brushed off as too difficult will become easily attainable with a more positive mindset.
5. Positivity changes your overall life experience

“It makes a big difference in your life when you stay positive.”
― Ellen DeGeneres, Seriously... I'm Kidding
Positive thinking gives you better mental health, better physical health, and a better social life. Every area of life can be positively impacted by just changing your mindset.
6. Positivity has the power to change the world
"You are the sum total of everything you've ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot - it's all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive. " – Maya Angelou
As a previous point stated, positivity is contagious, but so are other things too. As humans we are sponges that absorb so many different ideas, lifestyles, memories, and experiences. If we can be a positive light in the world, other people will absorb this and it will start a chain reaction. Change the world with positive thinking, one brain at a time!
7. Positivity will help you face the day

“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
If you know tomorrow is going to be an extremely hard day, wake up with a positive mind. Tell yourself that today is going to be great. If you wake up with this mindset everyday, your heart and your mind will start to believe that each day really is a gift. Change your thoughts, change your life!
