Why Most Problems Have A Way Of Resolving Themselves When We Get Out Of The Way

Trust That Life Knows What It's Doing

When problems occur, what is your first reaction? Do you worry about it and immediately try to fix it? Do you become anxious, frustrated or angry? It's natural we respond this way, but what if there's a better way? What if we don't have to get caught up in the mental muck? We often try to solve our problems with a limited mindset and don't have all the answers before us. Moreover, the situation may still be developing and requires more time to take shape. Therefore, our reaction is based on what is taking place at the time, instead of waiting for things to unfold. We become too invested in our problems and complicate matters further.

Sometimes, things are better left to resolve on their own, without trying to force it. Can you relate to this? Can you think of a specific example where you forced something to happen, and things got worse? It happens all the time; we make a mess of our problems when we try to manipulate them. It requires a certain mindset to trust that our problems will resolve themselves when we get out of the way. I'm not talking about apathy or resignation here, but an inherent trust that life knows what it's doing. Often, circumstances will fix themselves with little or no participation on our behalf. It's difficult sometimes to know whether we need to take action or leave things alone.

Regrettably, some people take too much action to resolve their problems. If they let things be, even though conditions are not favourable, the problem will fix itself in due course. Obviously, there are matters where immediate action is required such as our health, finances, career or relationships. But often, the more we worry and force a situation, the more out of control it becomes. I've noticed this particularly with relationships. If we're constantly trying to change other people so we will be happy, we are bound to experience misery and disappointment. But if we accept others as they are and change the way we look at things, our problems will settle in due course. I'm not suggesting we tolerate abuse in our relationships. I'm reminding you to accept people as they are, without controlling conditions.

Try Something Different

Is this something you're willing to try? Could you respond differently to experience a different outcome? If we respond the same way each time, we set ourselves up for disappointment. It requires a change in thinking, and this can be the troublesome part because we are taking a leap of faith. To take a comedic perspective, I'm reminded of an episode from the sitcom Seinfeld, in which the character George Costanza, played by Jason Alexander, tells Jerry that every decision he has ever made has been wrong, and that his life is the exact opposite of what it should be. Jerry persuades him that "if every instinct he's ever had is wrong, then the opposite has to be right." So, George experiments doing the opposite of what he would normally do and experiences a series of fortunate breakthroughs. His life improves when he acts on the opposite of his instincts.

Whilst a fictitious story, there's an element of truth to it. If we're not experiencing better outcomes, it makes sense we change how we respond to our problems. I'm encouraging you to trust that life knows what it's doing and problems we consider unpleasant, will resolve themselves without trying to fix them. Therefore, I encourage you to put this advice to practise in the following way. Over the coming days, simply try it out. If there's a problem you're dealing with that doesn't need your direct involvement, could you let go of worrying about it? Could you allow life to bring you the best outcome? Could you let go of anxiety and frustration?

If we respond the same way when problems emerge, we train our mind and body to react the same way. Even if the situation is favourable, we might sabotage it because our first reaction is one of anxiety and frustration, instead of patience and trust. I speak from experience and know if I get out of the way and keep my wits about me, a resolution will emerge better than I imagine. It requires practice, patience, and the willingness to try something different, instead of reacting the same way. Go ahead; try it. If you keep a journal, instead of worrying about the problem, journal your thoughts about it. Then you can look back and see how far you've come in your personal growth. After all, most problems have a way of resolving themselves because when we get out of the way, life will do its job and bring us exactly what we need.

How To Stop Trying To Control Life Through The Art Of Surrender

Striving Less To Get What You Want

Are you happy with your life? Is it unfolding as it should or do you face difficulties and challenges you cannot overcome? It's important we know whether we're trying to force things to happen or allow life to unfold as it should. What do I mean by this? Think of a current issue you are trying to resolve? Despite your efforts, has it worked out in your favour? Why not? For example, if you are in a relationship that is causing you trouble, why haven't your efforts to change the situation succeeded? Despite our efforts to control circumstances, we ought to concede that we have little control after all. I mention this not to minimise your power but so you understand life isn't something to be controlled. When we surrender to what is unfolding, everything will develop as it should.

We are conditioned from an early age to take control of our lives. Our parents, teachers and people of influence reinforce this message to go after what we want. I don't disagree with it. However, when we don't get what we want, it might seem like life is conspiring against us, where in fact life is functioning perfectly. Is this an idea you're willing to embrace to become a co-creator of your life? I assure you adopting this way of thinking needn't involve surrendering your power. In fact, you recognise the source of your power moves effortlessly through you and requires striving less to get what you want. It entails co-operation instead of commiseration.

For example, if you are a relationship and your partner causes you problems, how could you stop trying to control the situation? Well, for starters you may want to stop trying to control your partner. Secondly, it would be helpful to better understand your partner and their motives. Thirdly, it requires not trying to manipulate your partner to get what you want. Because the other person may concede to your demands if you try hard enough. However the downfall is, you become accustomed to controlling other people and when they don't conform to your needs, you are likely to suffer. Wouldn't it be easier to go inside yourself and examine what is at the heart of your issues? Perhaps there's unresolved childhood wounds you haven't attended to and your partner is activating them? You won't know unless you do the self-enquiry to understand why you react the way you do.

Everything Will Come To You At The Right Time

To paint an analogy, you might wake up from sleep one morning with a physical wound on your arm. Though, for the last eight hours you have been asleep so there's no explanation for the wound on your arm. After applying a Band-Aid and cleaning up the wound, you contemplate what could have caused it. You ask your partner and regrettably they cannot offer an explanation. After some consideration, you have a hunch the wound was caused whilst you were tossing about while experiencing a nightmare and accidentally hit your arm on a sharp edge of the bedpost. Had you not examined the situation, you may have continued to wake up with a wound on your arm on the following morning. Nevertheless, we tend to stow away our emotional wounds within our psyche because we don't want to face the pain. When the pain resurfaces, we wonder where it came from. Is this beginning to make sense? Are you understanding that trying to manipulate life will often backfire because life is not something to be manipulated but to be experienced?

Therefore, the art of surrender does not imply resignation but requires co-creating your life's experience with a greater intelligence. It is accepting that everything will come to you at the right time and not a moment sooner. Personally, when I contemplate surrender, I imagine myself floating on my back in beautiful coloured water looking to the sky with a beautiful sun warming my body. The water carries me effortlessly to where I need to go and I trust everything will unfold exactly as it should. This doesn't mean I don't make plans for the future, rather I am less invested in the outcome since I trust the universe to lead me to a better direction. I learn to trust this benevolent force responsible for the trillions of stars in the sky and every cosmic event, knowing it has a good handle on the process called life.

It is with this understanding I invite you to go back to the earlier problem affecting you. Journal in your diary or notebook five ways in which you can stop trying to control the situation. What could you do differently to create a better outcome? What steps can you take immediately? How can you see the situation differently? Journal your answers and revisit them over the coming days. It is only when we stop trying to control life through the art of surrender that everything will show up in an easy and effortless way.

12 Tips For Conquering Anxiety

Anxiety is part of the human condition. Search for somebody that never ever feels anxiety. Some individuals are more resistant to stress and anxiety than others, but everyone can reinforce their capability to manage anxious sensations. Establishing a high level of anxiety is a learned ability. Reducing stress and anxiety is an ability, too.

The crucial factor to managing anxiety is to begin reducing it as soon as possible after it hits you. The more it develops, the more challenging it is to manage.

Deal with anxiety rapidly and easily:

1. Break your day into small pieces. Just worry about the percentage of time in front of you. If you're sitting in a conference at 9:00 AM, there's no need to fret about how you're going to pay the electric bill or exactly what you're going to have for dinner. Take the day a minute at time and keep your interest on that minute.

2. Create a mantra and utilize it. Have a positive and uplifting phrase you repeat to yourself. You'll eventually begin to think it and you'll obstruct any negative self-talk.

" I'm happy with the ability to manage any circumstance."

" My life is filled with joy and positive energy."

3. Workout. The quickest way to relieve anxiety is to work out enough to sweat. A casual walk is better than nothing, but to get the greatest benefit, it's necessary to get your heart beating hard.

4. Utilize distractions. Distractions never ever fix the underlying problem, but can supply relief. See a movie, play cards, or do a crossword. Hang out with a friend. Give yourself a break and put your focus in other places.

5. Keep going. Anxiety occurs since some part of your brain is attempting to stop you from doing something about it. It has learned that it can control you by making you feel miserable. You can reduce the anxiety you feel by plowing ahead. Your brain will learn that making you feel anxious does not work.

6. Give yourself 20 minutes to fret and worry each day. Schedule your worry time. You'll find yourself less inclined to fret throughout the other 23-plus hours of the day.

7. Change your environment. Leave your existing environment and provide yourself a change of scenery. Go to the park or invest some time at the coffee shop. Spend an hour window shopping. Shake things up a bit.

8. Hang out with your pet. If you have a pet, you know how reassuring they can be. Rest on the floor and have a heart-to-heart with your pet. How could you not feel better?

9. Write in a journal. Get your anxiety out of your head and down on paper. There's something cathartic about writing when you're stressed out. Make a habit of writing about your life each day.

10. Discover the best aroma. The right scent can be relaxing. Travel to the candle store and find something that makes you feel excellent when you smell it. Or check out some of the aromatherapy oils at your local health store.

11. Find a hobby that requires concentration. It could be chess, playing the piano, or knitting. It doesn't matter what the pastime is as long as you enjoy it and it requires your complete attention. It can be a fantastic way to invest your down time.

12. Envision. Envision something positive. Fantasize about Maui or keep in mind a favorable experience from the past. Imagine your perfect day.

Dealing with stress and anxiety is necessary. Effective individuals are successful due to their ability to handle stress and anxiety effectively. When you feel fear begin to build, deal with it instantly. A high level of anxiety is very difficult to manage. Develop a list of methods that can be carried out rapidly when stress and anxiety first appear.

Creative Inspiration Hit - NOW WHAT?

This morning I was listening to the Accidental Creative Podcast on my commute to work. As will sometimes happen, I found the discussion triggering my creative juices. My mind went into over-drive with thoughts and ideas that were flowing faster than my mind could process them. At some point, I had to push the pause button and stop the podcast... it felt like my head was going to explode. I am not the most patient individual. And here I was with these raw ideas that I wanted to act upon immediately. Instead, I was stuck in stop-and-go traffic on route 3.

This is not an uncommon occurrence for me. I suspect it is not for many others, as well. An idea hits and you feel like, if you don't act upon it immediately, it will be lost in the stratosphere for ever... never to be seen again. However, situations (like being stuck in a car) don't often allows for these ideas to be carried out when they hit.

I have also noticed an other interesting phenomenon. The longer I think about an idea, the less the chance I will act upon it. Sometimes, this is because I realize that the idea was just crap, and I am thankful I didn't waste my time on it. But, often there is a level of hesitation due to fear of failure. Other times, I get intimidated by the level of effort an idea requires to see through to fruition. However, more often than not, I don't follow an idea through because I gradually lose the enthusiasm I originally had for that project. Over time, I came to realize that I wasn't acting on many perfectly sound ideas and sought to develop an easy way to rectify this.

So, what did I do this morning when my head was about to explode? I love http://www.evernote.com ability to record notes. In fact, I have the Evernote Widget prominent on my smartphone so I can record with little effort. This morning, I performed a brain dump recording that kept going until I had nothing else to say (i.e. the exploding brain sensation subsided). I also keep a journal with me at all times (I like unlined pages... lines make me feel restricted). In this journal, among other things, is where I keep a permanent record of my raw ideas. So, as soon as I got into work, I replayed my recording and put it to paper in a slightly more cohesive format (yet, by no means finalized). At a later time, if I decide the idea is a good one, I will develop this idea even further on paper.

Here's what I have discovered. By having my ideas on paper, I am more likely to act upon the ones that are worth seeing through. In many cases, much of the hard work has already been done. I find that the physical tasks associated with an idea often feel less intimidating when already thought out and on paper. Also, because this is a multi-process step, that is initiated when I am feeling inspired and continued in smaller chunks, there is less chance of feeling overwhelmed (the "eat an elephant one bite at a time" philosophy).

Here are the key points:

1) When creative inspiration hits, perform a brain-dump as soon as possible. Don't stop until you have exhausted all points.

2) Don't worry about quality at this stage. Just get it on paper

3) Refine your idea on paper. It doesn't have to be perfect, just cohesive enough to make sense later

4) Go back and review your ideas. Decide which ones are worthy and which are not

5) Follow-through with the worthy ideas.

The Habit of a Journalist

Woman in White Long Sleeved Shirt Holding a Pen Writing on a Paper

Out of all the activities, journaling according to me is the healthiest activity. You feel relieved after spilling out every single thought going through your head. It is a fun activity as well because you play with your own words and ways of expression. Everyone should make journaling a habit.

Most of us feel like giving up writing after a week or two. Have you ever wondered why does this happen? This is because we don't make it a routine habit. We actually think of it as a hectic task but not as a pleasurable and joyful activity.

At the very beginning we get stuck at finding the right topic to write on. One easiest way of getting rid of this problem is to right about what you've done for the whole day. Write down about your daily routine, your work, your love life, things you like and things you dislike. Writing about your own self is one of the simplest topic you can ever find.

Secondly, reading can also help. Searching for random stuff on internet including journals written by different people can give you various ideas about what to write and how to write it. Reading helps you learn better ways to express your thoughts and ideas. This is how you learn how to express your inner thoughts and feelings through relevant and affective words.

Try to find out inspirations. Your inspirations and aspirations are basically the sources of motivation. Bookmark the journals, articles, quotes or texts you like. Keep a record for present and future reference.

Environment and your state of mind are also quite important. The time when you wake up in the morning is considered as the period when you can effectively utilize all your senses to produce excellent work. Moreover, it is important to be in a relaxing environment where you feel good. It affects your mind more than you can imagine and it enhances the productivity rate as well. For instance, while sitting under a huge tree with a cup of tea, you can think about so many things and can transform all those thoughts and ideas into some amazing words. All you need is a good diary with a fine pen like that of Parker or Pelikan.

In the end, all I want to say is if you want to write, just start doing it. You will feel a lot better and productive. Mark my words.

Anger: Let It Go

Woman And Man Wearing Brown Jackets Standing Near Tree

When we fully feel, experience and are present with an emotion, it only lasts for short periods of time (minutes to hours).

But what about the person who always seems to be angry, depressed, grumpy or in a bad mood? They have turned what is an emotion into a state. A state is created by the mind when you replay things over and over again.

When we watch a bad movie, do we watch it again and again? Of course not! So why would you replay a 'bad' event in your life over and over again in your head? All it serves to do is to reinforce the emotion over and over again.

Here are some strategies my patients and I have found helpful in letting go of bad states:

  • Write and journal your feelings. If it was a person who angered you, write them a letter. Once you've gotten everything out on paper. Burn it or throw it away.

  • If you are feeling the need to move or hit something, try a punching bag or a pillow. That way, you get exercise at the same time. It's also a positive way to release stored up energy.

  • Try meditation to calm your mind. There are great app's like Headspace that teach beginners how to meditate.

  • Try something new. Take up a new hobby, sport, etc. Channel your emotions into something positive and creative.

  • Focus on things that you have control over. You are in charge of the way you feel, how you react and your perspective on a situation. You can't control how someone else reacts. Recognize where you can make changes and work in those areas.

  • Find a friend and ask for 5 minutes to rant. After 5 minutes, your time is up and you move on.

  • Put yourself in the other person's shoes. Perhaps they were having a bad day before they met you, maybe there's too much on their plate or they are overworked and stressed. How often have you acted out in times of stress?

  • Forgive. Picture them in your mind and say to them "I forgive you".

  • Identify the lesson. In each situation, you can learn something about yourself or life. Ask yourself, what is the lesson here? If it was someone else that triggered your anger, ask yourself, what buttons exist within you that were pushed? Do you have a need to be right? An expectation of being perfect? Did you get upset because one of your expectations were not met?

  • If you are still having trouble letting go or something traumatic has happened to you, please come in for a consult or seek further help.

Physical, emotional and mental tension that is not resolved gets stored in your body. Over time, you run out of 'storage space' and secondary conditions such as pain, can occur. Learn to optimize your nervous system by letting go.

Great Goal-Setting Methods You Can Use

The Long & Short Goal Method

The first goal-setting method that we'll cover is probably the one that you're most familiar with. This is the setting of long-term goals that can be broken down into smaller ones. The way that these method works is by setting long-term goals that you want to achieve over a specified period of time.

For example, write down 10 goals that you want to achieve in the next five years. Then determine what short-term goals that you will have to accomplish in order to make this happen.

These short goals may be things that you can do in a week, month or it may take as long as a year. There are no time limit requirements on short-term goals. The only rule is that they lead to long-term ones.

The Checklist Method

If the above method doesn't appeal to you, then you may want to try the checklist method. The checklist method is similar to the long and short method, but it brings your task list down to a daily level. How you use this method is by creating your long-term goals. Then, make a list of things that you can do daily to achieve those goals. This will be your daily checklist. Put it on your phone or tablet, or as the background of your desktop computer, and make sure that you check off all of those goals every day. At first, it will be difficult to get used to it, but after a while, it will become second nature to finish your checklist before you go to bed.

The Journal Method

Finally, there is the journal method. The journal method simply encourages you to write your goals down in a journal or diary, and then write an entry as often as you can about what you are doing to progress towards your goals. This is a much less restrictive method than the checklist or journal and highly creative people may prefer it.

Three Financial Habits that are Preventing Your Success

When it comes to financing, some people have developed habits from the time they started handling money that has brought them some level of achievement in their lives - whether that be having good enough credit to putting money away for emergencies or future investments. But most people aren't quite as good at managing their money. You don't have to become a financial guru to be successful, but there are three habits that nearly everyone does that are very likely going to prevent you from achieving the success that you desire.

Spending Money on Convenience

One of the worst bad habits that people have, especially in the United States, is wasting money on convenience. Store owners know this too and they take advantage of it. For example, while you might be able to go to a big box department store and buy motor oil for $2.50, you'll be paying $5 or $6 if you get it at a convenience store. Knowing that you are paying a great deal more money for not much more convenience will allow you to stop yourself when you are considering it. Put that money in savings instead.

Not Keeping Good Records

Another financial habit that will make it difficult for you to be successful is not keeping good records. Keeping records of your income and expenses is important because then you know what you are earning and spending in relation to each other and can see ways that you might be able to save money. Saving money is vital to future financial success because it is available in the case of an emergency, it will help you avoid credit card debt that could block your path to wealth and it could become your startup money when the next great idea comes along.

Failing to Create or Stick to a Budget

Another thing that people do is fail to create a budget, or even if they have a budget, they often do not stick to it. This means that they are less likely to save money and will not learn the skills that are going to be required to start a business and run the financial aspect of it down the road. Creating and adhering to a budget is directly related to success in business, and many of the top entrepreneurs in the world say it is one of the most important skills to have.

How to Write Your Own Daily Affirmations (By Rosina S Khan)

Affirmations help you in that they allow you to stay positive and retain the positivity throughout the day. When do you use affirmations? You can make your own on a daily basis. How do you do that? Read on to find out.

For instance, you wake up one morning to find out that one of your kids has fallen off from her bed and broken her hand. A day that starts like this is certainly set for cloud and gloominess. But you write an affirmation sometime in the middle of the day in your lovely journal and feel better and more focused on positivity. Here it is:

My children are always well taken care of and I pray for their highest good.

What if it is a rainy day all day long one day?

You cannot go outside in the rain to the nearest supermarket and drip in rain. So you write an affirmation as follows in your journal and feel good for the rest of the day:

Today is a rainy day. So I like to cuddle with my family indoors and spend quality time with them.

You are hard at work, having a very busy schedule. But your colleagues urge you to join a treat in a nearby restaurant. You cannot let them down. So before leaving for that treat, you quickly write down an affirmation for your good as follows:

A lot of work has to be done. Yet I manage to take time out with my colleagues. It distracts me for a while and does me a world of good.

It's a summer day. All your children are dressed in white shorts and T-shirts. You and your hubby are dressed in summer clothes as well. Before you leave for Disneyland as you planned, you quickly drop down an affirmation in your journal as follows:

Today I feel happy to be with my family all set to go to Disneyland. I feel strongly that my hubby and the children are sure to have loads of fun.

Someone close to you in the family passed away at a young age. You feel so upset and teary at the thought. In order to control yourself, you write the following affirmation:

I cease to take life for granted. Yet while I am alive on this mighty planet, I make the best of everything.

It's one of your older friend's fiftieth birthday. You want to gift her something appropriate on the occasion but you have no idea what that would be. You think of a variety of possibilities and yet you cannot settle on anything. So you write an affirmation in your journal:

Dear God, I sincerely hope I can find the proper gift for Alice's birthday which comes to good use for her as well as make her happy.

Summing up, come to think of it, writing affirmations is not that much of a challenge. Think of the situation you are in and leverage it towards a positive thought and write it down. Yes, it can be that simple and easy breezy. The more you write them down and practice on a daily basis, the better expert you become in figuring out daily affirmations.

How Your Inner Critic Is Sabotaging You

You may believe in the power of affirmations but do they often get crushed by your inner-critic? These affirmations seem like a great idea and several experts will say they work. But, if they do work, why aren't more people using them?

It could be that your inner-critic is stronger than any affirmations you may present for yourself. After all, we spent a lifetime developing that critic. A few short-term affirmations aren't going to hold much weight against it.

So, does this mean you are destined to never using affirmations? Not at all.

In fact, it is the purpose of affirmations to re-target your brain into believing that the affirmations are the correct way to think. For this, consistency is key. Set up a system that allows you to reinforce your affirmations.

It's going to take some work, but it can be done. It is about switching up your routine to use affirmations you find or create. If you are stuck finding the right affirmations, ask others who have found ones that work.

Repetition and belief are two important concepts when applying your affirmations. Set up a schedule that contains the particular affirmation you want to use. Say your affirmations out loud and do it several times on each day. The more you do them, the more they will transform your thoughts to the point where they become natural.

If you skip a day that has been scheduled, don't worry too much about it. Just pick up where you left off the next day and write in your journal about skipping. If you can pinpoint the reason why this can help keep you from doing it again, it would even be better.

When you set up your schedule and journal and stick to them, you will look back and wonder how your inner-critic was even able to dominate. Your affirmations will take over and be in control of your brain.

Thus, you will be setting up the Law of Attraction as it relates to affirmations in a way that gives you the results you seek. Once this happens, you have the tools to make it happen over and over again. This means you will finally get to have the things you have wanted and live the life you have always dreamed about.

It is a new journey but one that will have a lasting impact. You have it within you to make the necessary changes. The question is, are you ready to silence your inner-critic? I wish you all the best in your success affirmation endeavors.

3 Ways To Work With The Law of Attraction Today

Building something positive in your life is not easy. In fact, if it were easy, millions of people would be seeing the results of the Law of Attraction. The problem that people have is that they don't understand how this works for the better. You may think that it is going to work for you, but if you expect the manifestation of the benefits to arrive without any forward momentum, you're going to be lost. There are several ways that you can work with this law, but it all starts with highlighting what you need to change. Once you know that you're not on the right path, you can start to build towards a better look and feel moving forward.

Create a Journal

Journaling is a great way to illustrate your thoughts, ideas, and daily routine. You don't have to adhere to a "diary" format here. All you need to do is write down the things that you are thankful for, and what you want out of your life. As you start to document what you want in your life, you are going to start to see good things come your way. Creating a journal is not about getting your emotions off your chest, but rather to highlight the positives in your life and exploring what your dreams are for the future. Without knowing what you want in this life, you cannot access the dreamscapes that are awaiting you down the line.

Removing Negative Elements

There are things that make everyone anxious. What are the things that cause you stress? Think about this overall? When you start to work through what you don't like in your life, you will be able to replace things for the better. Removing negativity is a good thing, and it starts becoming a reality when you work through the right elements overall. You cannot remove anything if you don't know that it exists, so make sure that you find a balancing act by simply recognizing what is going awry in your life.

Find Your Path and Go For It

To fully work with the Law of Attraction, you need to focus on a path that is going to help you, and just keep going. Many times people fail to get any results because they don't stay on the path. They want things to change in 24 hours and they don't really see the bigger picture. In order to see a manifestation of attraction, you have to give it time. The more time you dedicate to establishing the right attraction scenarios, the better you are going to see your life become.

In the end, you are not going to be able to do much if you don't seek out positivity. Remove negative thoughts, and people from your life, and replace them with positives. The more you do that, the more attractive energy will go out into the world, and that will return dividends over time. It's a beautiful thing. Just remember to take your time, and allow yourself to soak in the wonderful elements of this life.

Difficulty Vanish When Faced Fearlessly (By Rosemarie Sumalinog Gonzales)

Is there any point in your life that you experienced extreme difficulty? The time when you felt desperate and hopeless and had no idea how to keep moving forward? As a matter of fact, we all go through struggles at one point in our lives. But the crucial part is how we respond to it. We can build the tenacity to face any challenges that we meet.

When we faced trials in life bravely, it builds our character. Oftentimes, the moments in life we are most proud of are the ones where we overcame adversity to accomplish something worthwhile. We need to do something that pushes our limits and beyond. We will realize that we are capable of accomplishing much than we ever imagined.

Every time we find ourselves stuck or facing a life challenge, we simply write down our thoughts in a journal. This allows us to get out of our head and separate ourselves from the impact of the experience. It brings the conscious brain into play while reducing the effects of the unconscious, emotional brain.

Think of a time when we felt more confident than we have ever felt before. Go back in time to all those memories that have robbed us of our confidence and create new meanings to them. We can literally go back in time and change our memories by repeatedly picturing the event while anchored into a positive state, so the meaning of the memory will become a positive one.

The next time we find ourselves facing a challenge, ask what someone we admire would do in our situation. One of the quickest ways to get what we want in life is to find someone who has it and do what they have done. Practice standing tall and embodying a posture of unbreakable confidence everywhere we go.

Focus always on the positive. Never let negative thoughts, feelings or emotions overpower us. We need to have self-discipline. The key to mastering self-control and willpower in the face of a challenge is learning how to build positive habits because most often we are afraid of the unknown and we get stressed on the process.

When times get rough, we need to be resilient in order to cope up. We need to prevent our negative feelings to surface by focusing on the positive things when faced with adversity. By doing this, we are able to face challenges fearlessly and take control of the situation no matter how demanding the trials in life are.

I want to dedicate this article to Arlyn Lanticse, my colleague and friend who suffered the same predicament I had.

Guaranteed Steps That Will Lead You to Self-Discovery

The best way of self-discovery is a personal journal. You can choose to keep a journal for only a week. You can put down promptly a total series of work during that whole week. This will help you to examine themselves and be able to tell the state that they are in and make them think seriously about what exactly they are.

A single day would correct the exception of the other and make yourself to weigh all those different acts which are forgotten within no time must be included. You do not have to buy a very expensive journal if you do not have money.

You can make use of the common books or get the not so expensive notebooks from various stores. This will bring out the right look of the true you. Do not be scared of your own thoughts. If you want to do this in a much simpler way, you can consider taking a mirror and sitting in silence while closing your eyes and pay attention to yourself. You should think from the time that you started your day in the morning to that time that you end your day in the evening.

Think about all that happened to you in the course of the day. For you to be able to focus more, you should be able to do this every single day for at least a month, as the saying goes, 'practice makes perfect.'

You should also look at your image in the mirror and pay attention or focus on yourself and talk to yourself. You can do this by complimenting yourself. You are also not to think of any negative thing, let your mind think of only positive things. You should remove all the negative thoughts from your mind. Sometimes you might feel sad or scared, do not cast them away but instead, clinch on to them and look into the mirror and accept yourself the way you are.

You will at some point experience these strong feelings when we are able to look at ourselves when we can say these words and imply them. When you reach this point, you can now grab your pen and start to write down whatever you feel at this particular time. If you journal about yourself for several weeks then by the end of the month you would have formed a series of self-discovery evidently.

Simple Encouragement - How Positive Motivation Can Make a Huge Impact

How about encouraging the people around you a little? How do you do it? How does it help? Read on for answers.

Making others smile and giving them a little joy by appreciating them a little definitely makes you smile and gives you joy. While you forget it in a short while, people remember and savor your compliments for a lifetime.

How about making it a point and visiting kindergarten schools and spending time with the kids taking the teachers' permission and helping the kids to have a great time by finger painting? Simply encouraging them to have a little fun will make them smile and make their day. The teachers will be equally pleased and learn from you.

How about visiting old homes and playing your favorite guitar for the old people? It will be a change for them for a while and encourage them to sing and dance even at old age, forgetting their worries and body disorders. Yes, I would recommend that.

I would also recommend that volunteers go to cancer hospitals and cheer up the ill children and grownups who are suffering from cancer by giving them little gifts plus make them all sing in a chorus. Yes, it would make their hearts smile and help to alleviate their pain.

Who else could you motivate? How about your own spouse and children? Note down all the good qualities you find about them in a journal. After you think you have written enough about them, book a family evening with your family members, have a nice dinner and then read out to them all that you have written about them in your journal.

It will move each and every one of them and even make them cry out of joy. But it's worth doing it. That is because your family bonds get stronger and you all will soon be helping, motivating and encouraging each other even more.

Summing up, those are some of the ways you leave positive imprints in the minds of people whom you have encouraged with motivating words by going the extra mile. I say it's worth it doing something positive for the people around. Blessings and more blessings are bestowed upon you everywhere you go because the Universe acknowledges your good deeds and efforts. You will smile and be blissful.

I would recommend that you continue your mission of encouraging others because a little motivation would have a huge impact on the people and even change their lives for the better.

So do it more often and continue to accept the bountiful gifts of blessings from the Universe.

Living The Life of Your Dreams - Do You Know What They Are? I Sure Hope So (Let's Make Sure)

In a world so full of cynicism and bitterness, it is essential to rise above it. Cynicism is all around us, just turn on the television or open a newspaper and you can not help hearing the commentators, pundits, or news report filled with it. Open your social media accounts and you'll see post after post with complaints and derogatory messages. You are not even safe walking around your community or sitting in a coffee shop because you will run into it all the time. You can not seem to be able to get away from it.

Science is showing us that everything around us is made up of energy. This energy affects us and has a direct influence on our lives. Humans have always been aware of their environment and have sought out environments with certain qualities. Among some of the attributes humans have sought out are safety, physical comfort, and psychological comfort. Maybe you heard growing up to choose your friends carefully as they will reflect upon you. With all these things, the energy you surround yourself with has a way of rubbing off on you.

The energy of cynicism and bitterness is a low-level energy. It is an energy that drags things down. If you wallow in this energy, it is difficult to change and to improve. And you do want your life to improve, don't you?

But, to be able to rise above it you must change your focus from one of bitterness and cynicism to a higher energy level. An easy way to do this is to live the life you were born to live. To do this, you must follow your dreams, but how do you do this, you may ask.

Why should you follow your dreams?

Your dream life is tied into what you love doing. By uncovering what you enjoy doing, you will live a more fulfilling life. Living a more fulfilled life enables your life to flow easier. When your life flows you can accomplish more with less effort.

Living your dreams expresses who you are. You are a person and have a contribution to make to the world. You can only do this by being true to yourself and expressing who you are. When you do this, you reach for greater things. You also become more creative, and this causes you to be happier.

Following your dreams seems more like play than work. You enjoy what you are doing, and because of this, you get lost in what you are doing. This allows you to enjoy yourself and the life you are living.

Being who you are fulfills you in ways nothing else can. When you are expressing yourself to the fullest, you are more secure in who you are. Being more secure frees you up from worry and concern. It enables you to stand in your strength and greatness.

Being true to who you are has you wanting to share with others. When you feel fulfilled yourself, you want to share it with others and help them achieve fulfillment in their own life. By following your dreams, you open up the opportunity for others to do the same, and you encourage them to do so.

How to discover your dream life?

You may be having a difficult time trying to uncover what it is you dream of doing. Many of us feel beaten down by life and have forgotten how to dream. We have forgotten what called us at one time in our life. If you find this to be the case, here are a few ways to help you discover your passion and rediscover your dream life.

Journal - Get a notebook and just sit and write down your thoughts. The best time to do this is as soon as you wake up in the morning or right before you go to sleep at night, however, you can do it at any time in your day. The important thing is to do it consistently and as close to the same time each day as possible as this will train your mind and open it up to thoughts.

Meditate - Meditation clears the mind and opens you up to hear the quiet voice inside yourself. This voice is directing you to go in the direction of your dreams, so if you can hear it, you will be able to discover what your path should be.

Think back to what you liked doing as a child - Your dream life is usually tied into what you liked doing when you were younger. It is tied into what you dreamed about as you were growing up. Remembering what your childhood dreams were allows you to discover the direction your dreams should take.

Pay attention to how you react to things - By paying attention to how you react to things as an adult, you tap into what makes you tick. Are there certain things that fill your heart with love and joy, or do they make you angry? By examining these reactions, you can tap into what is calling you to action. And action is where your dreams reside.

Try new things - Trying new things opens you up to new possibilities. New possibilities enable you to expand yourself. By becoming aware how you react to these new situations you will be able to uncover things that call to you. In this calling, you discover who you are and what inspires you.

Do you want to transform your life and have all that your heart desires without all the stress and setbacks you're currently experiencing?

To be able to do this, you'll need to get clear on what you want, set goals and achieve them. Go to http://www.lojope.com to find tools, articles, and the support you need.

The quickest way to achieve your goals is not to attempt them by yourself. Even if you don't hire me as your coach, hire a coach, all the high achievers do it. If you don't hire a coach, at least work with a trusted friend as the path doesn't have to be long and arduous, especially if you have someone along for the ride.?

Knowing Yourself Inside Out

In this day and age, it is made so accessible and easy with just a touch of a finger to capture high quality still pictures that you will look back and laugh about it or put a smile right back onto your face. A Mind Journal kept simple would simply just be an outlet you find every possible ways and reasons to jot down the things that make you, love yourself more.

It would consists of a list of positive aspects of your strengths and things you love about yourself, following the things you love to do and would love to do and you start to build your list and learn to fall in love with you all over again each time you make an even longer list of all the things and people you love and would love to do in this lifetime.

You will come to notice that as you find more and more things to write, you are filled with more love not only for yourself, but also for things that actually matter to you and people who matter most would be appreciated and carried in the most positive light shining through your unconditional love and eyes.

A journal that specifically documents and keeps a whole list of only the things, tasks, experience, memories and people you love and brought love into your life. You can combine it as a gratitude journal too if you are comfortable with writing and list out all the things you feel grateful for every day. Use it as a tool to highlight all the things you have in your life that you can feel blessed and grateful for to shift and adjust your energy level and you can be sure that your frequency will not stray too far away from flying high.

Practicing gratitude elevates our ability to enjoy the mundane day-to-day, yet provides a great opportunity to feel good over and over again. When you feel grateful for your eyes when you open them in the morning, feel appreciation for the birds chirping out-side your windows before the first ray of light shines through, bless the food on your plate (however many meals you take each day) and the feeling of a hot running show-er to start or end your day. You get to plug-in your favorite music on your device, unplug with a good read in your hands, you get to take your physical body with you to go for long walks in the park with your loving pet (or by yourself / with your partner) and finally quality time spent with you and your practicing mind to recharge and replenish.

There are endless things to be grateful for in this moment, right here and now. It is only a matter and difference of choosing to do so. To decide you want to feel grateful and be in appreciation of all the things you have right now instead of shifting your attention to the things you don't have and open up a whole vortex of negative emotions into your experience all over again. Like I said before, choosing where to put your focus on is key. Knowing how to use it effectively will make or break your decision and outcome.

Knowing yourself is the first step to coming to love yourself more each day without needing someone's validation or approval all the time for you to feel good or have a sense of self-worth and healthy dose of self-respect just the way you are and meant to be. All your little quirks and oddities, they are all a part of you that makes you one of a kind and unique to the world. You must learn to embrace that instead of looking for another person to "follow" and "imitate" because what looks good on a mannequin does not necessarily mean it fits you just the same.

Have a customized sense of taste in all things big and small that creates moments of joy and happiness for you. No one else but you. When you know yourself inside out, you have no fear or doubts about the choices you make. No amount of negative feed-back in the world can hold you back for what you truly believe in doing or choosing to do when you come to accept yourself completely. That also ultimately means accepting your thoughts, your choices and your decisions you have made which you will come to love as well.

A Journal and Goals Setting Planner is Critical for Success

Why use a planner? And why are the pages laid out the way they are in the planner? Why are the dates on the left side, why are goals written twice on the right side?

The design of a good planner is built to fill out all the white space in the calendar. To stay busy... to stay at a maximum level. So between 6 to 9am, let's say you set up your first 3 things you're going to do that morning. You will probably be working out, then afterwards, maybe spend time with your kids. Then once you're done, maybe you're going to take a shower. Afterwards, you would be getting ready to have some breakfast, and be ready for a 9am meeting.

Between 9 to noon, maybe you have phone calls. Maybe you're working on a project or shooting a video. Basically every line on the planner you fill out. Noon you're going to take a quick lunch for 10 to 15 minutes, have a bite to eat. Or you'll spend a longer lunch... but it will always be with a client. From 6 to 9pm, you're cranking it down. Turning it off after a busy day, and heading to bed.

The above example, shows how you can use a planner to journal your activities through the day. If you notice, there are a lot of activities going on. This is operating at a maximum level, and a good planner is designed for that - to optimize your day, while you keep your targets and goals in line. If you over commit, and under deliver, that's better than having blank space on the calendar.

Now the right side is a key feature of a good planner. It's a journal, scheduler, planner, day timer, call it what you want.

Goals - now these first lines are the most important ones to start your day, because this is your purpose. This is why you're living your life. This is the reason you're getting up, and going to work each day. Underneath that there is Quote of the day. What is your quote today? This is a very creative two lines that are going to cause you to think about what you stand for that day. Next are your targets. Things you want to accomplish that day. Calls you want to make, appointments you want to have, deals you need to close, people you want to see, customers you want to get in front of. Then we have successes. Those are the things you accomplished that day. Last thing right your goals down again. You write them down in the morning, and write them down again at night. I can't stress how valuable this is. Most write their goals down once a year. You should be writing yours over 700 times a year. Who's going to win?

Make your success big, by organizing your day using a good goal setting and journal planner.

The Importance of Creating a Morning and Evening Routine

Newspaper, Reading, The Media, Women, Morning, Routine

Many of the most successful and influential leaders in history describe themselves as having a morning routine and/or an evening routine. Those names include Barack Obama, Winston Churchill, Steve Jobs and many others.

Having a morning and evening routine like this is a great idea because it makes it a lot easier to start the day on the right foot. If you find yourself often waking up late, procrastinating by hitting snooze and then rushing out of the door with one sock on, you'll know just how destructive this can be to your productivity later on.

Likewise, the morning is a block of time that will almost always be free from interruption, which means that you can fill it with useful tasks and activities. That way, even if the rest of your day is a bust you can rest assured that you accomplished at least those few positive things.

The importance of the evening routine is to help book end the day and also to ensure that your morning routine has the best chance of being carried out well. If you set yourself up in the evening, then you'll make it considerably easier to follow through with your plans in the morning.

Let's take a look at some examples of things you can add to each routine for your inspiration...

The Morning Routine

Healthy Breakfast

Eating a healthy breakfast is crucial to start your day off well. Keep a consistent menu and you can automate your morning process and ensure that you have fuelled yourself with complex carbs and all the nutrients that you need to function at your best.

Exercise

If you can exercise at the start of the day, then you'll begin your day with more energy and enthusiasm and you can ensure that you'll have burned at least a few calories before you begin. Even if you just do a few press ups and pull ups, this can make a big difference!

Making a To-Do List

Why not set out your goals for the day right at the start?

The Evening Routine

Lay Out Clothes

Save yourself time tomorrow by laying yourself out clothes. And while you're at it, why not lay out that gym kit?

Write a Journal

This is a great way to reflect on the day just gone!
