Your Life Is Waiting On You! When Are You Going To Show Up?

I first heard the phrase 'start before you're ready' from Marshawn Evans. I thought to myself she must be crazy. I can't start before I'm ready. Well I have to be honest. Marshawn was right. Once I got enough courage to do my own event, I thought to myself that I wish I would've started sooner.

Your Life Matters. Your life is waiting on you. Many of us are waiting for the perfect time to start our business, the perfect time to travel, the perfect time to move, the perfect time to buy a new car, the perfect opportunity, etc. While it makes sense to wait to do certain things so you don't appear to be completely irrational or illogical, the reality is that there's never going to be a perfect time. Perfection doesn't exist. Sometimes you just have to take a risk. You have to do something different. Yes, you should think things through and do your due diligence in terms of research and having some type of plan but once you've done that, at some point you're going to have to take a leap of faith. Your dreams need you. Even with a stellar business plan, for example, you may run into challenges. Life happens for all of us no matter how much we try to have our ducks in a row. It's life. You learn along the way. It's okay to make mistakes. You can use them as learning opportunities. I speak from experience as I've delayed taking action in my own life because I've felt like I wasn't ready, I had to be perfect or that I didn't have enough or wasn't as good as some other people in my industry. Steve Harvey is a comedian, television host, radio personality, actor, and author. Steve mentioned on his show that you have to jump. You'll never know if you can soar if you never jump. I agree. In other words, you don't know how amazing and incredible you can be if you never try, if never give yourself a chance. Every successful person had to start somewhere. It's easy to get caught up in thinking you have to have everything perfect when you see your competition or others in your field that may have a fancier website or high quality videos, for example. It can be discouraging. However, you must remember that they too had to start somewhere. Stop comparing yourself to others.

Everyone started out with an idea, a dream, a goal. They then got the crazy idea to actually pursue it. Something in them had to believe that it was possible so they started to take action. I guarantee if you ask any successful person if it was a nice and perfect road to success, all of them would say no. There were some twists and turns but they did not let that deter them. As they were on their journey to success, I'm sure there were people they came across that had better websites, better videos, more clients, better marketing, etc. and they may have felt like they weren't good enough. But they kept going and just got better along the way. That's all you have to do. What matters is your authenticity. You don't have to start out with the most expensive camera or the most expensive software. You start from where you are with what you have. It's enough. You can start with your iPhone. That's what I've done. What's important is to do what you can right now. Your life is waiting on you. Your dreams are waiting on you. Just get out there! If you focus on having everything perfect, you're likely to procrastinate and that will cause you not to move forward.

Your Dreams Matter. Your life matters. You matter. God has given all of us gifts and talents that we must share with the world. Your gift is what could save someone's life. Your talent is what could give someone hope. If you look at it from the perspective of the millions of people you're robbing by not sharing your gifts and talents then you wouldn't take it so lightly. It's not about you. You playing small is not benefiting anyone. Your gifts and talents were given to you so you could be a gift/blessing to others. Start before you're ready. Take the first step. Take action in the direction of your goals and dreams. The world needs you. Don't wait for the perfect time. Start from where you are with what you have. It's more than enough. Keep moving. As you grow, you'll get better. Your life is waiting on you. Don't delay. Tomorrow isn't promised.

Reasons Why Waiting Around For The Ideal Moment Is Typically A Mistake

Are you awaiting the perfect time to introduce your grand plan? We do not prefer to wait in line, however we're more than okay with waiting for some other things. Diets are typically begun on a Monday, or the very first of the month, or the first of the year. It's unusual that someone chooses to start a diet right this very minute.

The same mindset applies to starting a business, returning to school, learning how to play guitar, writing a book, or having a challenging discussion. We believe that difficult goals need ideal conditions.

But all that's actually required is the nerve to just get started. Waiting is typically a reason we give when we feel fearful or unsure.

The idea that ideal conditions are needed is flawed:

1. Life is much too short. Ultimately, all of us run out of time. Nobody can wait forever. That doesn't mean to be impulsive and toss all caution to the wind. It does indicate, however, that it would benefit you to act soon.

2. Life will always get in the way. Waiting on the best moment is like conserving the cash you have left over at the end of the month. You'll never have any time to spare, just as you'll never ever have any money left over.

Make time for the important things you want to do or achieve. The longer you wait, the more difficult it can be to get started.

3. Waiting is passive. Each day is filled with unique moments. It's not necessary to wait until the ideal storm of opportunity, benefit, and inspiration finally occurs. You can develop special moments whenever you choose. A lot of wonderful moments are taking place each day, but you're not making the most of them.

4. You don't discover anything while you're just waiting around. You're not improving your abilities or getting any experience when you're inactive. Take advantage of today and you'll be better prepared for the future.

5. Avoid remorse. Do you really have the time to spare? Those that wait too long are filled with regret at the end of life. Do you wish to review your life and think, "If only I would have... "

Very few things are worse than regret, particularly when you're no longer in the position to do anything about it. You may still be able to climb a mountain or learn how to play the guitar at the age of 80, but it might be easier when you're 40. You'll also have more time to enjoy it!

6. Doing something about it leads to a more amazing and fulfilled life. Doing something about it and failing is better than doing nothing at all. Even in failure, you're discovering, taking risks, and living life to the fullest. You're much better prepared for the future and gain a new point of view.

Make your life fascinating and fulfilling by deciding that today is a sufficient time to start.

7. Waiting results in a lack of control. While you're passively waiting for the ideal circumstances to happen, you're giving away control of your life. One typical symptom amongst those with anxiety is the belief that they do not have control over their lives. Why wait? Do something about it now to produce the life you desire and take back your control.

Valuing yourself will lead to valuing your time.

When you value your time, you'll start to make the most of it. Every minute is necessary because you are essential. Prevent waiting any longer for the perfect time to arrive. Begin today and create your own moments.

Broke Can't Be Happy

The ultimate goal of every individual is happiness, though definition of happiness may differ from one person to another. However, as far as I know, one of the factors that can hinder happiness is being broke. I have heard a few people say "my happiness is not dependent on availability of money" and I agree! Availability of money doesn't necessarily mean happiness but when you are Broke (absolute lack of money to meet immediate needs), no matter how religious, contented or hopeful you are, it is hard to be Happy.

I am not about to tell you how you are going to get rich overnight, neither is this a get rich quick scheme nor means of evoking the spirit of money. However, I believe that if you can work based on the factors I am about to point out in your life, things will turn around for the best.

Here are 7 reasons why you are broke almost all the time.

1. You have too much idle time: You have too much idle time on your hands. Your time is not well invested in productive activities. You sleep all day, hang out with friends, hang around cybercafés, stay online without real business there, you are the official mascot of the newspaper stand etc... these are time killers. You should realize that every second is valuable; some people get value for them and you should do the same too.

2. You are scared of trying something new: Fear is the culprit of many troubles we go through, little wonder the Book of Life kept saying "fear not". "If you do not act, you cannot actualize", no shortcuts! Waiting for a perfect time, is just a perfect excuse to be a perfect nothing. I have read through success stories and I have not found anyone successful, with a perfect start. You want to stay in your comfort zone, where you and I know nothing works because you are scared of failing. If you see where you are as your ground zero, you will realize you can't fall further than that.

3. You think everyone else is responsible for your predicament but you: Everyone is responsible but you; your father, your mother, your friends, siblings, employer... everyone but you! I used to blame too, until I realized it was robbing me off improvements; places I ought to improve but I kept thinking someone else should be responsible. Even when it is obvious that others contributed to the failure, your focus should be "YOU"; "what could I have done differently?". Responsibility is credibility, without assuming responsibility; it is hard to be in credit.

4. You are busy waiting for opportunity: "Opportunity they say comes but ones", though this axiom has been faulted on several occasions but the reality remains, opportunities are scarce resources with numerous suitors. If you keep waiting for it, you might grow old without a knock on your door. Our life is an open door and when you're not alert opportunities will "come in and go out" without you knowing but when you are all out for possible opportunity, you can't miss it. "You don't wait till the iron gets hot before you strike it, you keep striking till the iron gets hot."

5. You haven't learned to separate" need" from "want": When you are not financially disciplined, it is hard not to be broke. We have needs and we have wants. You need water but you want alcohol; one is readily available and affordable while the other is a distance away and yet expensive. Your decision is the difference between being broke and being bloom. Apply this concept to all other choices you make on daily basis, ask questions like; Do I really need this? Does my survival depend on this? No doubt, 'Want' to someone might be a 'Need' to another. To a student having a car is a 'Want' but to a commercial driver it is a 'Need'. So you need to know where each item fits in your own life.

6. You do not re-invest: You are expected to re-investing at least 10% of your income; salary, profits, gifts, allowances etc, but you do not re-invest. Life is in seasons; planting and harvesting seasons. For instance, If you do not plant, I need not tell you there won't be anything to harvest. Planting includes saving for rainy day, investing to have other streams of income, giving to people and giving to satisfy your religious convictions. When you fail in the act of planting, the act of harvesting will most likely fail you and being broke becomes inevitable.

7. You don't believe in yourself: You are not convinced you can do anything good. The entire first six reasons boil down to this, if you do not believe in yourself, you can't even make efforts to make things right. If you are a pessimist, if you don't have hope, if you don't believe you can be productive, if you don't believe you can make it, If you can't have faith in yourself then hardly can anything work. You have to overcome this before you can embark on making things right with your finances and your life.

I know you are probably thinking of a shortcut or something that won't work you that much; like winning a jackpot, lottery or getting free huge sum but here is the bitter truth, even if you hit the jackpot, without fixing yourself and aligning with these 7 reasons, you will eventually break the pot and go back to being broke.
