Be Motivational, Not Manipulative!

Set your mind on the right things. Let your thought be progressive not aggressive. When your thought is moving forward and not backwards, you are motivating yourself and those around you. For it means, you will speak the right words and do the right things. But when your thought is aggressive and move about in a circle, you become manipulative, hurting both yourself and others. Truly out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

The following thought will help you steer the rudder of your ship to the right direction:

1. Don`t Allow Yourself to Be Distracted:
You owe yourself the duty of not being distracted from the dreams or goals you have for your life. Those dreams came to you from above, if they are good and beneficial to mankind, then they were inspired by God. God of course can`t be against what He inspired so who then can be against you if not yourself. You are responsible for whatever happens to you, don`t let anything or anyone distract you from who you were meant to be.

2. Always Push Yourself and Be Determined:
That you failed yesterday is not enough reason to throw in the towel, stand up, dust yourself, chin up, chest out and move on. The world revolves around those who are determined and who do not give up. Life itself appears intimidating sometimes, but do not let that scare you, always nudge yourself with good words and a charming smile. These will strengthen your resolve to be on top always.

3. Set Realizable Goals:
Don`t dabble into things, things so not just happen; they are made to happen. Have specific goals with times allotted to them for if you do not have a destination, everywhere will look like where you want to be. Do not let the goals you set for yourself overwhelm you. Look those goals in the eyes and conquer them for you have everything it takes to overcome life.

4. Don`t Accept Deviations:
Don`t answer names you haven`t been divinely given. You have been named and tagged with names like excellent, brave, the best, a success etc. Don`t answer names you were called before you discovered who you are. Don`t agree to the leadings of those detractors, always remember who you are.

5. Be Passionate About Your Goals:
Don`t be careless about your set goals. Don`t procrastinate, those goals should propel you to move forward. Breathe them, think them, live them and have them realized. Anything that don`t have your passion won`t attract your compassion and commitment. This is why the goals you set should be reliable for when they are cumbersome, you will lose interest.

People and materials you need to be motivational are all within you, press the right keys and they will appear, and truly life will become beautiful for you. Be progressive and not aggressive.

Rohn: 4 Reasons to Take Control of Your Destiny

There is no greater pride than knowing you set your mind on something and accomplished it

One of the first things successful people realize is the old adage, "If it is to be, it is up to me."
For you, that means that your success, your course is up to you. This doesn't mean that you do it all alone. It simply means that you take responsibility for your life and your career.
Too many people today look at opportunity and figure it is up to someone else to make sure they get it. They wait and wait, figuring that it is up to someone else. And then the wait is over, and it is too late to do anything. Their life is over and they are filled with regret.
But this isn’t true for you. You know that you must take responsibility for your life. It is up to you.
The fact is, nobody else is going to do it for you. You must do it yourself.
Now, some people might think, That's a lot of responsibility. But here's what I think: That is the best news you can ever hear. You get to choose your life. Hundreds of millions of people all around the world would give anything to live in the situation you do—to have the opportunity to take control of their destiny. "It is up to you" is a great blessing!
Here’s why:

1. You get to chart your own destiny.

Maybe you want to start a small business and stay there. That's great because you can choose that. Maybe you want to create a small chain of stores. Maybe you want to have a net worth of $100 million. That's OK, too. The point is that you get to choose. You can do whatever you like. Different people have different dreams and they should live them accordingly.

2. You reap what you sow.

Sleep in and go to work late and reap the return. Or get up early and outwork the others and earn a greater return. Place your capital at risk and earn a return. Place your capital at greater risk and perhaps reap a greater return. You decide what you will sow and thus what you will reap.

3. No one else can stop you from achieving your dream.

Yes, there will always be obstacles that come up and people who may not like what you are doing, but you can just move on and chart your own course. There is great freedom in that.

4. You experience the joy of self-determination.

There is no greater pride than knowing you set your mind on something and accomplished it. Those who live with a victim mentality never get to experience the joy of accomplishment because they are always waiting for someone else to come to the rescue. Those who take responsibility get to live the joy of seeing a job well done.
Let me ask you a question: Where will you be in five years? Ten years? Twenty-five years? Do you know? Do you have an idea? Have you ever dreamed about it or set a goal for it? Are you willing to take responsibility and recognize that it is up to you?
You will be wherever you decide to be at that point. You decide. It is up to you.
And that is very exciting!

5 Excuses that Stop You From Reaching Your Dream

The moment you set your mind to pursue a big dream is magical.  It energizes you and excites you.
But as you start to make plans, things fall apart.  What looked great in your head doesn’t look as good on paper.
The thoughts that once filled your head with enthusiasm and motivation are gone.  Now all you have are worries and doubts.  You start to wonder if you should even pursue your dream at all.
Does this scenario sound familiar?  If it does, you’re not alone.
Thinking about worries and doubts can be demotivating and cause you to stop pursuing your dreams even before you get started.
But what if all you’re telling yourself are just excuses that aren’t based in reality?
We’ve all held ourselves back because of an excuse.  I’m no exception.
When I was younger, I wanted to travel abroad.  But each time I thought about it, I came up with a long list of reasons why it would be impossible.
How would I get around?  Wouldn’t it be too expensive?  Isn’t it dangerous?
Years passed before I finally took the leap.  I pushed past those excuses and bought a plane ticket to South-east Asia.
Once I did it, I could see how those excuses had been holding me back all that time.  I could finally see that they weren’t legitimate obstacles; it was all in my head.
The truth is that every big dream can be knocked down and dismissed away by an excuse or two.  The key is to recognize when excuses are popping up so they don’t prevent you from living the life you want.
Here are some common excuses that will hold you back from your dreams:
1. There isn’t enough time
There are only 24 hours in a day.  That will never change.  So if you have a lot of things filling up that time, it can seem like an impossible obstacle to overcome.
But sometimes finding time is about re-prioritization.  Are there any activities you would be willing to give up?  Is there something you’re doing that someone else could just as easily do?
These are the kind of questions you need to be asking.
Making time to pursue your dream should be made a high priority.  When something really matters, you have to make time for it.
2. I’m too afraid
There are all kinds of fear.  You might be afraid of making mistakes, failing, being inadequate or just fear the unknown.  Any one of these can pop up and derail your path to your dream.
It’s important to recognize and deal with fear as it arises.  It’s natural to be a little scared of big decisions.
But remember that most fears are emotional, not logical.
Before I went traveling, many people said they were afraid of being assaulted or involved in a terrorist attack.
But the real biggest danger of travelling is being involved in a car accident.  It injures or kills more travellers a year than anything else.  Yet it’s also the travel fear people never mention.
Ask yourself if there is really something behind your fear.  It might not be as scary as you think.
3. I don’t have enough money
There might be a legitimate argument to make when it comes to financing your dream.  But look closer before dismissing your dream for this reason.
Often there are low-cost solutions that you might have never considered before.  Consider how much you actually need.  Put costs down on paper.
And remember, even if money is a problem, it doesn’t mean it isn’t insurmountable.  There are often ways to save a little on the side to fund your dreams.  Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
4. It’s not possible for me to do it
Sometimes your dream can seem unrealistic.  You might have high goals with huge obstacles that seem insurmountable.
The problem with seeing something as impossible is that people often confuse it with being simply difficult.  What you want to do might seem so hard that you don’t think that you could ever do it.
It’s not that it’s impossible.  It’s that you don’t think it’s possible for you.
It’s easier to get around this excuse by taking a different viewpoint.  Focus on why you’re able to do something, not on why you can’t.  It gets you off that “impossible mindset” and on to something more constructive.
5. Now isn’t the right time to start
The unfortunate truth about life is that there is never a perfect time to do anything.  There are always conditions, personal situations or environmental factors for not doing it.
Of course that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it anyway.
There are countless examples of people achieving big goals in the worst circumstances.  For example, the owners of HP and Revlon are big companies now, but started up in the 1930s when the country’s worst economic crisis hit.
If you wait for all the conditions to be perfect, you’ll always be waiting.  Before you know it, years have gone by and you haven’t taken a single step to make it happen.
Time goes by quickly when you’re waiting for the perfect moment.
