Progress Is Impossible Without Change

One thing is sure in life; that progress is impossible without change. But no matter what you do, nothing remains the same forever. To move beyond where you are, it requires getting out of your comfort zone. And growth is what is called the motion you make in a chosen or required direction.
Would you allow your mind and your beliefs to change and grow as new facts are revealed? Or would you resist transformation and maintain a closed mindset? How can you cultivate a more open outlook and receive change in your world? And just how can you apply it in your life?

In my life, I often heard that the reason many of us resist change is that we are afraid of losing something. The reasons are plenty. It may be the fear of losing the familiar, fear of losing control, or merely the distress of losing someone and find ourselves alone.

On the other hand, when moving beyond where you are, you might see new possibilities or things you have to gain. You have to realize that change is a constant. Rather than running away from it, you should entirely and intentionally embrace it because you might live a more satisfying and full life.

But it requires you to be willing to change your mind and belief system. We are only human, and we do make mistakes. When you are unwilling to change your mindset, you stagnate. Remember that your brain is a muscle and it also has to be exercised.

Being Stubborn Blocks Change

"Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything." - George Bernard Shaw
You have to examine the facts. The reason is that you have no choice than changing your opinions when evidence or proofs no longer support your thoughts or belief system. Stay away from being obstinate in your ways. It will swallow you up or anything else that does not evolve, grow, change, progress and transform. So accept that things do change!

All of us are guilty of being stubborn or have a fixed mind at times. And yes, it takes a lot of courage, strength and self-discipline to admit that you are wrong or allow progress to happen. But what is life without a change of heart or a change of mind?

Considering Possibilities is Key to Change
Centuries ago, people believed in a flat Earth, and that the horizon was the end of the world, but with time and evidence, they eventually changed their minds. The old ideas and beliefs finally died out. Today, everyone recognizes the roundness of our planet and the Sun which is at the center of our Solar System, as well as the galaxy we live in, the 'Milky Way.'

From the dawn of time, we have believed all sorts of things. But change along with progress and scientists have worked in transforming many of our misconceptions. So, we may have to consider that changes and getting out of our comfort zone are needed to grow and have a better life.

For ages, many thought that flying could happen while others believed it was impossible or insane. Eventually, in 1903, civilization went from successfully flying the first operated airplane to walking on the moon in 1969. All of it happening in the short span of sixty-six years.

Progress is Impossible without Change
So, you see that nothing is impossible as long as your dreams still glide in your head. A creative spirit is vital for you to change, grow and progress. Never stop dreaming since the opportunities are endless. But if you refuse to change your mindset, your beliefs, or your routine, you will never be able to move forward beyond your false impressions.

"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." - George Bernard Shaw
Change is the natural order of the Universe. Many of us are unmotivated and lost. Many young people have no idea what to do when arriving at the end of their teenage years and getting into adulthood. Stop strolling through life trying to be someone else. Be unique. Find and live your true identity. Take action to change and grow rather than letting the world tell you who you are.

Grasp Change with Both Hands
Again, you have to grasp change. Do not let doubt, fear or failure command the course you want to travel on the roadmap of your life. Take some risks instead of playing it safe. And you may be surprised by what you might acquire once leaving your comfort zone. You might experience all that life has to offer you.

Can you imagine how hard it would be to make a change, grow and progress in your life if you refuse to let go of misconceptions? It is like when someone believes they are overweight and no one can love them. How could they accept somebody that express care for them?

If something is not working, you have to change your mindset. Many of us know things which are not true. Yet we defend them because we accept them as real. It is easy to be influenced by the doubts or unbelief of a relative or friend. They can even push you to think that your ideas are impossible.

But have you ever considered the possibility that they might be wrong?

Change and Growth - A Mark of Success
You need to be in the driver's seat when you seek change, growth, progress or anything else in life. Otherwise, you are going to accept an average belief system and never move beyond what could be.

You have to stand up for yourself, but also willing to change and get out of your area of comfort; otherwise, you are not going to accomplish anything you desire.

Change and growth are a mark of success. It does not consist in never making mistakes but in never making the same one next time. Accept failure as a part of success also. When you fail, you learn from your mistakes, and you can then identify what you did and not repeat them.

Basically, you should not fear to make a change to grow and develop but rather be afraid of stagnating and not learning anything new.

Accept Change
You must realize that things change and never remain as it is. What you may not be willing to accept or consider is that you have to change as well. But you should! Try to recognize which changes will lead you to progress or growth. Become aware of the facts so that you can change for the better.

Let go of the shame and embrace the change you have to make because progress is impossible without it. Changes will be what create the person you want to be. So, you can contribute to the world rather than expecting the world to provide for you. I wish you a great transformation!

Change Occurs Through Your Efforts

Our attitudes define who we are. They are subject to change by social influences, as well as by the individual's motivation to maintain cognitive consistency when two attitudes or attitude and behavior conflict.

Real change occurs from the bottom up. It occurs from person to person, and in small groups and locales and then bubbles up and aggregates to larger vectors of change. It happens when a person exerts an effort every single day of his life. If you want a change to happen in your life. Change your attitude.

We embrace change, yet something in our nature fiercely resists it. We structure social movements, political campaigns and business strategies around the need for change, yet we hardly understand how it works.

When it comes to a change in behavior based on consequences, such as an individual's hopes to gain rewards or avoid punishment from another group or person, it is called compliance. It doesn't mean that there is a change in beliefs or attitude but rather is influenced by the social outcomes of adopting a change in behavior.

The individual adopts the new attitude, not due to the specific content of the attitude object, but because it is associated with the desired relationship. Often, children's attitudes on race or their political party affiliations are adopted from their parents' attitudes and beliefs.

On the other hand, personality is not a perfect predictor of behavior. People tend to become more responsible and emotionally stable as they age. These changes generally unfold over many years and seem to reflect a natural developmental process.

There are things about yourself that you don't like. So you change them. It's more likely that you keep on doing them, even though you say you'd like to change them. you can't just snap your fingers and stop the well-established patterns of behavior, even when those patterns result in bad consequences.

Change is a process that begins with being aware of yourself. If you're used to blaming everyone else for your problems, then you're not aware of the consequence of your actions. If you're living your life in a daze, blaming bad luck, then you're in denial because you based your good fortune on fate. You can be fully aware of your bad habits and still not change because you lack the sense of commitment.

You need to have self-discipline, perseverance, and hard work. Know the reason for your change of behavior and what you want to be. Your actions need to adhere to your beliefs. You know it makes no sense claiming you want to change but then doing nothing about it. You are just disappointing yourself. You're fed up with feeling frustrated.

Adopting new ways rarely comes comfortably at first. You may feel a lot of resistance to change but when you realize that change is needed as an opportunity to grow, not as an unwanted burden, amazing things can happen.

Even small changes can reap meaningful benefits especially when it is in a positive direction, it will not only expand your confidence but also enrich your relationships, enhance your career, and empower your well-being.

People do change if not for the better then some change for the worst. If you modify your behavior, then that's changing for the better.

Keys to Success: Effort and a Positive Mindset

Man Pushing Steel Frame With Pile of Weight Plates
There are qualities that we need to have in order to become successful. Most of us have them but seldom use them.

To some people change is a "dirty" word, but it is the lifeblood of our economy. If there was no innovation or change then we would be stuck in limbo and nobody wants that. Instead of seeing change in a negative light think of it as an opportunity, with each change there is an opportunity to do things better and earn income in the process. Take the Internet, imagine if we all had to still use dial-up, imagine if broadband did not exist! This change was not easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it is necessary so if you really want to be a successful entrepreneur then you have to embrace change, so why not start now.

Here are some keys to success that might be helpful in getting our goals and be successful.

1. Desire To Watch Others Succeed - The ultimate success is not how much money you have in the bank, but how many people you have helped succeed. When you enable people and help them reach their full potential it is one of the most gratifying feelings you can have. By giving back in this manner those people whom you have helped will continue this trend of helping others and society as a whole benefits. You will also benefit, the more successful these people are the more likely they will work with you in the future since they trust your judgement.

2. Exude Confidence And Joy With Every Person You Meet - People naturally gravitate towards individuals who appear to be confident and happy. If an individual doubts this claim we can use a fictional example, Santa Claus who is more joyful or confident than Father Christmas? He employees many elves and has tight production deadlines but he never lets that impact the way he deals with other people. By being confident, courteous and joyful people will want to work with you and help you.

3. Can Accept Failure And Learn From It - Everyone fails, whether you are learning how to ride a bicycle or start a billion dollar company there are going to be growing pains which may seem like failures to the untrained eye but these challenges force an individual to think on their feet and come up with solutions. The only failures in life happen when a person never tries or gives up trying, unless you fall into either one of those two categories you are not a failure. Learn from the obstacles life presents and you are going to get closer towards true success.

4. Constantly Talking About New Ideas - There is always a better way to do things, we just need to discover it. Entrepreneurs are constantly trying to come up with new ideas. One way to source for these ideas is by speaking with associates and even random strangers on the street. By getting feedback and insight from other individuals we can come up with new ideas. The adage "nothing ventured anything gained rings true when it comes to developing ideas."

5. Willingness To Share Information And Data - Everything you know is the culmination of information gathered from other people. When you went to school you benefitted from the knowledge of your teacher, other students and the books in front of you. Successful individuals know that they must share their knowledge. By collaborating with others new ideas and solutions can be formulated. No one has a monopoly over great ideas and any person who tries to restrict the flow of these ideas is truly stingy.

6. Has Goals For Both Their Professional And Personal Life - Setting business goals is something most of us will not have challenges doing but you need to come up with an exit plan. What are you going to do after you retire from the company? Some individuals want to work until they die but is that a recipe for happiness? The individuals who don't plan for their retirement are afraid of change. Once you have handed over the daily control of the company over to the next generation you need to come up with activities you find rewarding like charity work or giving back to society in some meaningful way.

7. Keep A Journal And Updates It Religiously - This journal will serve as a means of inspiration on days when it seems like everything is going wrong. It is also a living testament to your struggles as an entrepreneur. With each page you have become a better, more resilient person. Just imagine in 50, 100 years from now when your descendants read the journal and see how resourceful you were, it could motivate them to become entrepreneurs long after your eulogy has been read.

8. Takes Time To Smell The Roses - Everyone appreciates hard work but every person needs to take some time out to smell the roses in both a figurative and literal sense. If you are totally consumed with your work that it takes over your personal life then it could be a sign of poor time management skills. By taking some time out you will recharge your internal battery so you can tackle new challenges as they come up. This downtime is also critical when trying to form meaningful relationships with family, friends and colleagues. While chatting in the office is fine there is nothing quite like having time to yourself so be sure to schedule it each and every week.

Message From the Universe: The Door to Opportunities Is Always Left Unlocked

"It's as if you're pounding on the massive doors of the kingdom of your wildest dreams. At first lightly, even respectfully, then, losing patience, louder and louder. You pray. You plead. You beg. You ask. You cry. You wail. And just on the other side of the door, your faithful, adoring subjects silently writhe, some quietly crying, all intensely feeling your frustration and loneliness.

Yet they remember all too well how, on the day you left, you made them swear not to ever open the door, so that you might discover for yourself...

... that it was left unlocked.

I hate when that happens,
The Universe"

This is what we all live day in and day out. We sometimes fail to look further in a situation and miss out on something great. When we start something, we stop at the sight of the first challenge, the first obstacle and feel that maybe a better route is available. We are attracted to path of least resistance, but yet, nothing really great is on the other end of these paths. We feel like we are running but never arriving at destination, just like on a treadmill. We complicate things too much because simplicity may seem to be to good to be true. We look for problems where there are none, and because of our mindset, we miss out on some more opportunities that were right there, waiting for us. There is no mystery, no secrets, just a creation of your imagination that stops you from seeking bigger and better dreams. You have done so much so why let your mind stop you from going further? So deliberately stop yourself from reaching up to the summit of the mountain? You are just a few steps away from getting there, so just allow yourself to keep on looking up and enjoying the view from up there. You knew that the road to success wasn't going to be an easy one but you still kept on innovating, creating new ideas, allowing uncertainties, loneliness to take over your life. You are in the right track so when facing these massive walls stopping you from moving forward, BREAK THEM DOWN. You deserve that much.

Some say that the doors of real opportunities are never really locked, or even closed. It is up to you to discover which one will render the best results for you. Once you start walking a path, and you feel it is not what you expected, don't be afraid to turn back and change direction. It is fine to do that. Many just keep on walking straight even though they are aware of this path not being the most efficient for them. They feel it would be a big waste of time to turn back, so might as well continue on that same path. Nothing is a waste of time, it is just gained knowledge. When you are not happy in a relationship, why stick with that person? When not happy at your job, why keep on doing something that makes you miserable? Learn to embrace change and not be afraid of it. Change is good, it is healthy and exciting. Afraid of being single? Imagine the million of people out there still single but happy as hell. If your previous relationship didn't work out, I am sure you are now aware of what you are looking for when looking for someone else. Afraid of changes means afraid of learning. Why stay ignorant? You need to start looking at things differently so you can adopt a new approach to life. Again, changes are good, as long as you feel that your life needs it. If you are happy the way things are going, then don't change anything. Why fix something that is NOT broken? Otherwise, start surfing the wave of life instead of ducking your head under it and missing out on amazing opportunities.
