Living Among Known People And Places, Yet Lonely

People and places are familiar and intimate yet very strange hence, aloofness encompasses the individuals. Does it happen to groups or is it a common phenomenon among people from all walks of life? Subsequently, a question arises why such a thing happens? If so, is there any reason and what remedies our pundits offer? Here, we must prod over the nitty-gritty of our mindset and circumstances in which we grow. It is appropriate to dive deep into a stanza from "Psalm of Life," by Henry Wordsworth Longfellow and explore. People then avoid vulnerable and painful incidents and adopt meaningful outcome benefiting humanity. This will happen when people understand realities and remained content and be grateful.

"Lives of great men all remind us

We can make our lives sublime,

And, departing, leave behind us

Footprints on the sands of time."

It requires serious thinking within and outside the bonds of families, friends and other personalities. Any deviation from facts and phenomena will jeopardize the structure of our relationship and leads towards chaos and commotion. The reason is very simple; if we remained attached to materialist values and weigh our relationship accordingly, then imbalance sets in. Consequently, we become impatient and arrogant and that is the beginning of fissures in an otherwise homogenous relationship. The only thing remains are footprints upon sand of time. The flood tide will wash away the history and vacuum haunts us for rest of our lives. This is called the defocused abnormality causing inability to observe nuances of volatility of greed.

People have experienced over the past, and it is more pronounced in this era, the so-called modernization. The most obvious and distinct factor which has affected humanity was greed. It is also affecting now in a camouflage way. Analyzing further reveals that the greatest menace to our society is western capitalism. This is the story of have and have not, and the voracity to take control of land and people. The laws and regulations are enacted and implemented to suit the few at the cost of many.

The need of the hour is to realize and comprehend the volatility and stability within the frame work of existence. If we failed to achieve spiritual freedom, then all materialistic attractions will shackle us leaving vacuum in our existence. The points to ponder are the cultural and rituals; these two factors should synchronize with doctrine of faith objectively. Here, we must take precautions to avoid that these two factors should not trespass each other's threshold. Thereby, the main purpose and values of doctrine are not relegated under the shadow of cultural rituals and practices.

Analyzing the circumstances, we see how these wealthy people alter the life-style of the poor and middle class? They offer them a loan to procure the essential and non-essential things and discourage them from saving. The propaganda and advertisement divert the attention away from the necessities and indulge them in the extravaganza. The comfort zone of common man is to live within his means and savings. Alas! He has now become the victim of wealthy people's evil design. He has fallen into a vicious circle of debt and remained until his demise.

Whatever has conspired and transpired in the minds of elite has successfully transformed between the poor and made them vulnerable. The reason as to why the poor man loses his cool and carried away uncontrolled is debatable. The answer is very simple and crystal clear. The most volatile reason is the elite's molecular touch with support from advertisement, and celebrity's presence, makes all the difference. The innocent victim is the man who drifts in the wilderness of materialistic greed and attachment. He then forgets his roots and adopts the unrealistic life-style. It leaves no other choice but drifts in the uncharted waters of chaos, confusion and uncertainties.

The realities of life with strong conviction and firm determination of consciousness will overcome the greed. However, the differentiation and integration of materialistic values pose a serious threat to simplicity and simple living of middle class. Alas! The environments and society's glitter has made them a victim of their unrealistic desires. Thus, the unfulfilled desired and failed expectations from near and dear one alike has made them lonely.

The Rhythm of Life

Human beings evolved from unknown and non-existence into being. The passage of life from a humble dwelling into dizzy height of success and fame is a phase in itself. It is a journey through different realms which human beings experience prior to reaching the destination. It is created in a unique way which is memorable and worthy of reflection. They need to understand the importance of passage of life within the sanctity of spiritual freedom. The stages from conception to birth and onward indicate the purpose of creation. Once the purpose is understood then everything else associated with materialism becomes insignificant.

The Creator has gifted human beings with knowledge and wisdom to reflect on the signs of the creations. The tragedy is that the human beings have not explored and utilized their hidden talents. Hence nature and instinct overpowered the creative, original nature (It is called Fitrat in Arabic, there is no equivalent word in English language). Although the "Fitrat" will never change, however, it can relegate below nature and instinct. This is the crucial point where all human beings start drifting into the wilderness of chaos. Imam Ali Ibne Abutalib (PBUH) says, "The entire universe is hidden inside the man, alas! They do not reflect."

The cardinal point of intersection is the demarcating line cautioning us to choose the righteous path over the dark pit. A question arises, what tools are available to us as guiding principles. If we ponder over, then we realize that The Creator has given us, "The Book, Wisdom, Knowledge and Role Models." Now it is our responsibility to use these tools and achieve the remarkable feat within this realm. The supporting materials are rituals and practices, which will enhance the understanding the creative concept. A cautionary note is to ensure that the ritual rites and practices are associated with the values and followed in totality. If it fails in rightful execution, then we are practicing and comprehending the life in the vacuum.

Now coming back to the first point of creation and its reality. We should know that the creation of human being is to achieve a meaningful and a purposeful life. This obligation can be achieved if we are progressing and propagating as expected. We need to analyze in a profound and consequential way. It means to reflect while we are continually passing from one realm to another until we reach the final abode.

Again, diving deep into the situation we understand that we will meet death in this realm to move into another phase. In simplification, the soul will depart and continue to remain in an abstract form. The scholars explain that the scenario in this phase is a waiting period. Here, every soul will see acts and deeds of every individual. The way we live around the world will translate in the hereafter accordingly. Hence, this realm is very cumbersome and painful or peaceful until you move into another phase.

The culmination is a yet another difficult realm where judgement is pronounced. People's achievements and failures will receive awards and punishments respectively. This is the crucial period where the people will depart in different directions subject to their performance and achievement. This is the place where eternity prevails and people will live in respective realms. Here, they either enjoy life in a pure, perfect way free from any evil, or they will suffer in pain and misery. Those who enjoyed life in this material world adopting all unscrupulous means, then they are destined in the dark pit full of agony and repentance. It will be a bliss for those who remained pious and spend their lives and prescribed within the tenants of laws.

Imagine life as a puzzle. You have many pieces of the puzzle laid down on the floor, looking for one particular piece. You spend a few minutes looking for that piece but you come across another one that will fit somewhere else on the puzzle. You can't be focusing on that one piece or you will never complete the puzzle. You have to accept that you will come to a point in your life where the piece of the puzzle will eventually come together and create the full image of who you are, as an individual. You have to realize that accidents and coincidences are destined to be a part of your journey and stop trying to control how things should happen or WHY they happen the way you didn't anticipate. Because of this chain reaction, you feel that your life isn't headed in the right direction, that some pieces of the puzzle are missing and that you are losing somewhat of a direction. Despite your accomplishments, you still feel lost and can't find your path in life. Guess what? The same goes for the other 7.1 billion people in this planet. Do you think the rich people found their path? Maybe money wise, they somehow found financially freedom but are lacking on spiritual freedom. They are still looking for who they are from within and are having difficulties in establishing a clear correlation between their mind, body and soul.

Why are they many rich people that are so miserable in life and some poor individuals that are the happiest people on earth? Money doesn't bring happiness, I guess we all are able to come up with this conclusion, but there is an element that the poor happy people have that the rich miserable individual can't understand or put into practice. The happy people understand how the Universe works because they came into realization that there is NO reason to try to control every outcome in your life, to try to make things perfect, trying to avoid uncertainties from happening and allowing to stress to come into their lives. You have to allow the good and the bad to happen, and not allow yourself to stress about everything. Even though your physical senses won't always agree with everything that is happening in your life, your spiritual sense have to learn to accept it and move forward.
