Your Heart's Deepest Desire Is To Simply Be At Peace

Renew The Commitment To Yourself

Place your hands on your heart. What do you feel? I don't mean the beating of your heart but the emotions in that area of your body. This is a practice people find it difficult to do given the mixed feelings that arise when we cultivate the intimate aspect of ourselves. It reminds me of a pleasant experience that took place recently while I was preparing for bed. As I was washing my hands, I was overcome with a sense of love and compassion that filled my entire body. The touch and washing of my hands kindled a deep sense of love and compassion that lasted for thirty seconds or less. It was a familiar feeling I recall experiencing as a child. In that moment, I was taken back to my childhood where I relived the intimate feelings of oneness and togetherness associated with my mother. I mention this because it is the same sense of love and compassion we ought to practice with ourselves. The feelings evoked are the same ones we ought to invite into our lives regularly. Which brings me to the question: What is the relationship you have with yourself? Is it one of kindness and compassion or guilt and resentment? Irrespective of what it is, you can choose inner peace and harmony by letting go of thoughts that obscure its presence.

In a world where nuclear war, political deception and environmental concerns are common, inner peace and harmony ought to take precedent. We are inundated with news that captures our attention and distracts us from attaining inner peace. They try to sell us a fictitious way of life imbued with fear, hate and anxiety. I do not have contempt for them since that is their business model, and my business model is one of peace and harmony. It is my obligation to guide others to connect with their heart's deepest desire to find inner peace. Some might say the heart's role is to express love and I would argue otherwise because we are already the embodiment of love by virtue of our existence. We do not have to seek for love other than to remove the impediments that block us from realising it. This is the message espoused by the Persian poet Rumi who once said: "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it." He was making the case for letting go of negative states such as anger, fear and hatred that obscure our oneness with love. This is not who we really are, but are learned emotional states that keep us from discovering our true selves.

An Ever-Flowing River Of Peace Streaming Through You

Inner peace is associated with the heart's deepest desire because it is the language of our soul. Inner peace gives rise to love and allows it to expand like light in a dark room that fills every corner. You do not have to direct the light into corners of the room other than to turn it on. The same can be said of us: we must remove the barriers within ourselves that obstruct love, as Rumi alluded to. How do you feel about this so far? I'm certain you have questions brewing in your mind. I invite you to sit with them and contemplate the essence of this inner peace within you. No amount of money, fame or power resembles the inner peace within our hearts. It is merely a matter of removing that which stands in the way of connecting with our longing for peace and harmony. I liken it to stripping ourselves bare of all thoughts, beliefs and falsehoods of who we think we are. These are concepts and ideas to help us find our way in the world yet do little to help us realise inner peace. There are millions of people in the world who accumulate material possessions to make them happy, yet still long for something missing from their lives. The thing that is missing is not lost but dwells within us waiting for us to come home to.

Inner peace is our default setting and one needn't look any further than that of a child to witness this sense of harmony and bliss. However, if the child is repeatedly exposed to stimuli like video games and sugary sweets, it will behave erratically. Yet if it is fed with wholesome food and nurtured with love, kindness and compassion it will exhibit this sense of inner peace and tranquillity. In keeping with this, I'd like you to return to the earlier exercise of placing your hands on your heart. After you finish reading this article, find a quiet place and turn off any distractions such as music or your mobile phone and sit with yourself for a few minutes. Notice the emotions that arise and make a declaration to see them through the eyes of love, no matter what comes up. Do not consciously engage with mental dialogue but feel the emotions and allow them to move through you. Hopefully, you will realise an ever-flowing river of peace streaming through you and it's only a matter of letting go of the dam you have built to impede its flow.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Or What I Call The Stupid Or The Wise

From the outset let me be clear - I am including myself in all of the stupid categories that follow. Some I have finally learned to successfully manage and a few of them I am still struggling to get out of the stupid column and into the wise column. There, I've said it - now can we move on? So, just in case you didn't get it - I'm not preaching here just "splainin myself" remember him? If not, Google splainin to do or splainin myself. OK, on to the point of this article - what qualifies for stupid stuff in life and why do we all keep doing it? I'll leave the opposite of them (wise stuff) up to you to figure out how to get out of the stupid column (if you are in it) and into the wise one.

To keep this short and concise I am not going to list every stupid life, career, business, spiritual or relationship category, but what I feel are just a few of the ones that cause the most life havoc and pain and tend to be repeated far too often by many of us (again - I include myself in this group). I have also not put them in any order of importance since I couldn't find any credible research on them, as a group. So, here they are;

Decision making - repeated mistakes - Expecting different results from repeated behavior is a sign of insanity. Ever heard that one? Well, how about - expecting different results from repeated decisions - is the same - insane or stupid. It's not always the decision that's stupid but how it is implemented, expectations we have because of it or just having an inactive wait and see attitude after they are made. The decision is only one of the many steps when it comes to the decision process. If you keep making bad decisions, trust me - you will keep getting bad or uncertain outcomes.

Time use - Ever waited in line for a long time? Ever been on hold on a telephone call forever? Ever waited a week for a response to an email or text? Ever sat in traffic every morning for longer than necessary on your way to work? These examples are too numerous to keep going but the rationale is always the same - "I don't have any other options or choices - I'm just stuck." Sorry, there are better options in every potential "time-wasting scenario" - we might not always like them or be comfortable with them, but, they always exist. Don't believe me - here are two - Try a different route to work. Leave for work earlier. Get a different job. Retire. Quit. Carpool. Take the bus. OK, how about the email or text. Call them. Visit them. Take them off your list of contacts. Set some communication rules or guidelines.

I will guarantee you waste a minimum, of 3-4 hours every day in some way that could be better used if you just got creative.

Life lived - Someday I'll. When I am smarter I will. When I meet the right person, I will. I will give this situation or person another year to change. I'm too old. I'm too young. I'm too inexperienced. I'm not good enough. Please save me from these idiots. The right time for anything is never the right time. What makes anything the right time is not who, what or when but - you taking action, finding courage or faith, surrendering or anything that gets you to stop hoping, wishing and dreaming and start moving, acting or doing.

Emotions - worry, regret, blame etc. - Regrets weigh tons, blame is stupid, and worry is life's biggest waste of energy and mental effort. So, why do so many people live with these and many other negative emotions - why have I? Stupid. In hindsight every time I did any of these plus any others - jealousy, anger, disappointment, anxiety etc. I realized that when I did any of them, I temporarily turned the quality of my life and time over to others and then realized I was giving people I often even didn't control over me - stupid.

Success and failure - Success is not a guarantee and failure can't be avoided. Disagree? OK - have you succeeded at everything you have tried? If you have I'll wager you are in denial or haven't tried much. Never failed at anything? Again, I'll bet you have always played it safe. Either approach is dumb. The only way you can ever succeed at anything is to risk, step outside your comfort zone or try something new and when you do - there is never a guarantee it will work or that it won't. Successful people have failed, and failures never learn from their failures so tend to repeat them.

Ego and arrogance - it's all about you - The world does not revolve around you no matter how much you want it to or think it does. People with ego's that dominate their lives spend a great deal of time wondering, in confusion, disappointed, frustrated and angry and why? They need, no, they require control. Sorry folks, not going to happen so if you are letting your ego rule your life, just accept that you'll never be really happy, truly happy, content, no matter how much you have or inner peace until the world and everything and everyone in it behave according to your rules expectations, demands etc. Good luck.

Well, how'd you do in these six areas? Need to do some work to get into the wise column?

Peace Begins at Home (By Tina Tessina)

While it's easy to talk about, teaching peace isn't so easy to do. The prerequisite is learning to wage peace in our own lives. "We teach best what we most need to learn," writes Richard Bach in Illusions. That's because we are subconsciously focused on what gives us trouble; and motivated to learn about it. For example, if lack of peace-anxiety, rage, addiction or relationship hassles-is a problem, your life will constantly face you with the need to learn to be more calm. Anyone who does not meet your expectations can trigger agitation of one sort or another, and internal agitation evokes a negative reaction.

In my counseling office, I'm constantly reminded of how hard it seems to be for most people to sustain peacefulness-what the twelve-step (AA) programs call "serenity." We are all easily bumped off-center. I also see how powerful it is to maintain a peaceful (or serene) emotional climate in the middle of an upsetting circumstance. The calmest person is also the most clear-thinking, and therefore can control what's happening. People in high-pressure situations, such as medical and military personnel, police, firefighters, and rescue workers are trained in maintaining a calm demeanor. It makes them more effective.

Internal peace is the key to keeping all relationships on track. In my life, I've found that keeping my inner balance not only prevents me from making things worse in bad situations, it also influences others to be calmer.

Every day I am reminded of the importance of inner peace, a peaceful relationship with myself, and keeping peace in my private universe. Without this inner serenity, I am not very powerful to create peace in my surrounding environment. I find that whenever I'm agitated, especially when the turmoil seems to be caused by an event or another person, the effective solution begins with establishing peace within myself. Here is the idea I use to help myself and my clients do that:

I have my own sphere of influence, my own private "universe" which I can picture as a invisible, protective membrane surrounding me; rather like the invisible glass box mimes often create around themselves. All other people and events are outside this boundary, but visible and accessible through it. I can "send messages" in the form of words and deeds, subtle body movements and facial expressions, through the boundary, and other people can send theirs in to me. I have little control over what people choose to send toward me, and total control over what I choose to send out. However, I do have control over how I receive what other people choose to send me.

For example, if my husband, Richard sends out some crabbiness, I have very little control over what he says or does. Perhaps he's annoyed about something that happened in his business, or concerned about someone he cares about, and he feels safe letting his frustration out around me. There is little to be gained from trying to read his mind, or change his attitude. However, if I remember that I am the Highest Power in my own sphere, I have many options.

• I can choose to believe that his crabbiness is something I deserve, and feel hurt.

• I can choose to believe that he sent it because he's a bad person, and shut down my love for him.

• I can choose to believe that he sent it because of a separate event in his private world, and check to see what's happening with him, and if I can help.

• I can choose to care for myself, and put some distance between us, until things calm down.

• I can just react without thinking, and not make any choices at all.

Through experience, I soon learn which options give me the results I want. Once I know that, I can choose to repeat successful options at will. Richard has, and often uses, the same options.

The operative word here is choice. As long as I know my response to stimulus is a choice, I can create peace. Once I decide that the atmosphere I most want in my own world is one of peace, then I create the power to insure that.

The question I need to answer is: "What is peace to me?" It is easy, given our social environment, to think that creating peace with others means waging war with myself. For example, I can believe that, to create peace with Richard, I need to deny my own wants and feelings. That sets up an internal fight, which inevitably surfaces externally. Sooner or later I will get angry enough at the (self-imposed) limits to want to get even with him. Or, I will further increase my stress to keep the "peace" and begin to create illness.

Experience has taught me that the only peace that can be safely sustained is peace that begins at home-within the boundaries of my own inner self. Once I have created peace within myself by listening to all sides of the internal struggle, and acknowledging my right to feel all those ways at once, and finding a solution that calms me down, I know what I need to do with the situation that upset me. Then, I'm secure enough to begin to negotiate with who- or whatever my struggle was about. Peace with the other person may take a little effort to achieve, especially if I have a point of view of my own, but it will be lasting, and begins to build the trust necessary to a compatible relationship.

Paradoxically, this is often the easiest way to work toward peace in some ways, and the most difficult in other ways. It's easy because it requires nothing beyond myself; only mental/emotional work. Difficult because there are many ingrained attitudes, prejudices, and assumptions I must challenge and overcome on the way to internal peace.

The path to peace, inner and outer, is not a direct line with specific steps. It is full of trial and error, wrong turns and delightful discoveries. Sometimes talking with myself is all I need, sometimes it helps to talk it out with a friend, or even a therapist. Sometimes the words of a great teacher help. I like "My religion is simple. My religion is kindness"-Dalai Lama. Or "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."-Psalm 23. Usually my heart knows, better than my head, where the peaceful path lies.

I have chosen to follow a path of peace, internally and externally. This choice shapes all of my subsequent choices, and commits me to a process of self-awareness. To the best of my ability, I make my choices, and check the results with my mind and my heart. I get it wrong often, but I also get it right enough times to make my life much more peaceful; and I am happy, more often that not. When something makes me unhappy, I can find the path to peace more quickly than I used to.

Inner Peace and Happiness Comes From Hearts Desire

Today is a day worth remembering

When doubts, self-destructive tendencies, self-blocks cloud the truth that lays within our heart, we become less communicative with the voice and begin a long arduous path of detachment and emotional upheaval.

While we use our brain to live out each day, which is often influenced by our surroundings, our heart cannot be manipulated by anyone else. Our brain is a wonderful faculty given to us to recognize that we can learn from our experiences, as lessons to live out in this lifetime.

In the same way, we use our eyes to see and our hands to touch, both need remembering. Equally our heart needs remembering to improve the connection to our truth. Our brain can choose what we want to believe, but when we properly use the facility of our heart to connect everything that is needed is given.

Hearts Desire

Living with your hearts desire will never hide from you as it knows the truth of who you are. For ages it has been said we should follow our heart.

Your heart knows your true self, the spark of your truth and is always present and patiently waiting for you to recognize what is being freely given to you.

You are blessed with this creation that is the key to your true self. The spirit the spark that provides us with the connection to our truth. Each day, each experience, each spoken word, each emotion we feel center us within our "truth" of who we are. It gently nudges us or sometimes giving us no option but to pursue our rediscovery of our true self.

To start awakening the heart is by starting to understand heart consciousness. It does not take work; it takes remembering, we must only remember to turn our intention and consciousness toward our heart where so many beautiful things will be brought to you, as lightness, calmness, peace, happiness and joy beyond all things you most likely forgot

When you open your heart, in its depth, there is a knowing and familiarity, despite perhaps never having studied or followed this path before.

Sakyamuni Buddha taught "Calmness is within you, do not look outside of you" Yet you don't have to be a Buddha to see how those who chase down world success in an effort to be happy and peaceful.

Some may find awakening the heart difficult, often impossible if you are seeking wealth. You may attain success and material goods, but serenity and happiness will always still be in front of you, just out of reach.

All the courses, books and tapes listened to act as great facilitators and tools; but, never will they take the place of what you know within yourself. Your heart has always been there for you. It has never left you and will always remain with you.

Exercise Time: Awakening the Heart Consciousness

• Place your right hand on your heart centered area.

• Shift your attention to this area on your body and consciously connect with your heart.

• Allow the energy to flow in and out.

• Relax

• Smile to Your Heart

• Surrender

What is different about this connection? You do not have to think about it. The connection is so natural that it resonates without conflict. The heart simply just "IS". There is no conflict from mind to heart.

The KNOWING takes over. Peacefulness is at hand. Your hearts desire brings to your consciousness guiding you. Listen, trust, allow and let go.

Heart centered consciousness is our pathway to a much larger human shift into a new way of existence. As you practice and continue to have experiences of heart centered consciousness, you will be far removed from stress where burdens turn into joy.

This is the true connection that keeps you centered. Staying in your heart consciousness outwardly affects every decision, each thought, each activity... you will no longer be making decisions separate from your heart. Instead everything begins with and ends within your heart center.

The heart is a bridge between the earthly and spiritual levels of human consciousness.

Awakening the Heart is where spiritual awakening occurs, changing one's viewpoint of reality permanently.

Once we see and experience this expanded realm of the heart consciousness, it enhances our views and abilities for life where we shed negative attitudes and perceptions.

The energy of the heart is the energy of love.

The Heart knows no other. All that we have to be is love.

Boredom and Impatience Are Trying to Tell You Something

We live in a culture that beckons us to constant productivity, consumption, and stimulation. In the face of this momentum, the idea of taking time away from work, shopping, or entertainment seems like a total waste of time. This shows up very clearly if we try to do something like meditate. It's common to quickly get bored, restless, or impatient with what might seems to be "doing nothing." What's the point of this? What am I getting out of it? I could be doing something productive!

Yet what if boredom, restlessness, and impatience signal something deeper, something important to acknowledge and deal with? What if, instead of being prompted to rush off to more feats of economic prowess, accumulation, and stimulation, we use these feelings as indicators to dive deeper?

What if boredom, restlessness, and impatience arise when we are ready to make changes, especially inner changes that ask us to step beyond our current comfort zones?

Let's begin with a short story that demonstrates what might lie beneath restlessness.

Restless Legs, Restless Thoughts

This story comes from "Meditation: An In-Depth Guide" by Ian Gawler and Paul Bedson. They describe a meditation student John, who had restless legs and equally restless thoughts. (p.114, MAIG)

John was a very active guy, who loved sports and being in the gym. He had a "go get 'um" mentality and came to an 8-week meditation class ready to "master meditation." "However, he found it very difficult to even sit still; he had a nervous habit of constantly jiggling his legs up and down, a common form of restlessness. The movement of his thoughts matched his restless legs.

After two sessions John came to Paul and told him he wanted to drop out of the class, saying, 'I just can't do it-it's impossible for me to sit still!'" (p.114, MAIG)

Paul advised John to see if he could just notice the restless feelings with a gentle curiosity. Instead of seeing them as a problem, was it possible to just pay attention to them in a non-judgmental way? Could he refrain from self-criticism, from thinking he was failing at meditation, and just witness what was arising in his mind, without buying into it?

Would it be possible to be present with the thoughts "I can't do this, it's too hard" and "This is stupid and I'm not getting anywhere!" and "If only these thoughts would go away, then I could meditate!" (p.115, MAIG) without taking them seriously and without believing them?

For John, who was a proactive, take care of things, make things happen type of guy, this was a novel strategy-yet it worked! In just a few more sessions, he was able to just "sit with his feelings" and he became much more at ease with himself. As a result, he began to experience more of the inner peace he was looking for.

Sometimes that's all it takes to tame your restless mind-a little self-observation followed by a little self-acceptance-until a new state of being arises naturally. This state is hidden by the way you are looking at life and your feelings of boredom can prompt you to dig deeper to discover it. This is a good first strategy to deal with boredom and impatience in meditation and in life-recognize them, accept them, be present with them-and soon they resolve to reveal a new insight or way of being.

Yet, what about times when this strategy doesn't work? What about restlessness that cycles stronger and sucks you in deeper? This can signal a deeper defense you are ready to dismantle.

Identifying Your Deeper Defenses

When simple observation, acceptance, and presence don't free you from boredom and impatience, try to go a step farther. Your mind may be signaling you to become more conscious of a deeper defense, so you can release it to move forward to new possibilities.

Three steps can help: Label the thoughts related to your feeling of boredom and impatience, identify the beliefs behind them, and notice the consequences of this way of thinking. These three steps bring your defenses to light, dissolve their subconscious hold on your attention, and enable you to make new choices.

Step One: Label the type of thought

Thoughts can be categorized according to what they are doing. For example, you could be planning, worrying, lamenting, judging, criticizing, blaming, and so on...

In Step One, you simply name the type of thought you're having when you feel bored and impatient by giving a one-word label describing what the thought is doing.

Step Two: Identify the Belief behind the Thought

Beliefs are thoughts you invest with emotional significance. They are thoughts you strongly identify with. These are not just thoughts you think are true, they are thoughts you think are "you." At some level, consciously or subconsciously, you define "who you are" by these beliefs. Therefore, these thoughts become identified with your very existence, safety, and well-being.

Behind repetitive thoughts you can't seem to shake are deeply ingrained beliefs that originate from experiences of deep hurt. You don't want to experience those hurts again, so you learn thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that keep you from harm. These hurts and the accompanying beliefs are deeply defended in your subconscious.

For example, you might think: "If I just keep quiet and don't make waves, I'll be safe." Or, "If I don't make a big effort or commitment, I won't be disappointed." Or "If I don't express my true feelings, I won't get hurt."

Yet, these defensive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors also keep you from peace, joy, love, vitality, growth, learning, passion, and purpose you long for. They keep your body in a defensive mode that limits you from doing what you truly desire and from connecting deeply with others. That's why it's important to consciously recognize and release them.

In Step Two, you see if you can identify the defensive belief that is behind the thoughts that are cycling through your mind.

You can recognize these defensive beliefs in a couple simple ways:

-They tend to be strong judgments signaled by words such as "should, have to, ought to, can't, must."

-They tend to catastrophize, making everything seem bigger and more dangerous than it really is. They make everything feel huge and overwhelming and often come with the words "Always" or "Never."

Putting these together you get beliefs such as "You should never rock the boat," "I should always keep quiet," "You just can't show your weakness, ever!" "I'm never going to make it," "I'm never enough," and so on... Defensive beliefs aren't always phrased so strongly, but the underlying feeling about them is strong.

In Step Two, you seek the underlying belief that gives rise to the type of thinking you're mind is engaging in. You can recognize these by the strong emotional charge behind these inner statements. You can get at these beliefs by asking:

What belief am I using to protect myself, to keep myself in a safe comfort zone?

Step Three: Notice the Consequences of these Beliefs

The original purpose of defensive beliefs is to keep you safe. They keep you in a "comfort zone." Defensive beliefs have two primary consequences. They either make you "rigid," in "fight or freeze mode," or "retreat," in "flight mode." As life-long strategies, defensive beliefs are severely limiting.

Life is always asking you to learn, heal, and grow. Defensive beliefs cause you to resist growth, to guard against, to fight it-or to retreat in the face of the pressure. In other words, they put you in a state of distress. In fact, defensive beliefs make your life into a series of stressful events.

You can identify the consequences of your beliefs by asking two questions:

What is this belief accomplishing? What is it preventing?

When you consciously and clearly see the consequences of maintaining defensive beliefs, you naturally want to be free from the stress they cause. You want to be free from that suffering. You also see how they are holding you back. With those twin insights, you may naturally become more willing to investigate other possibilities.

You become more open to doing something different. When limiting beliefs have worn out their usefulness, when you are ready to grow beyond them, you feel bored and impatient.

A Two-Fold Strategy

So, when boredom and impatience arise, see if you can pay attention with curiosity and acceptance. See if you can let go of self-judgment and simply sit with these feelings. Notice if something shifts as you mindfully pay attention.

If boredom and impatience persist, investigate them more deeply using three steps:

1) Label the thoughts that accompany boredom and impatience by noticing what they are doing-planning, worrying, lamenting, criticizing, blaming...

2) Identify the beliefs underneath these thoughts.

3) Notice the consequences of thinking this way. Notice what this way of thinking is accomplishing and what it is preventing.

Are you satisfied with the way you are living?

If not, you can consciously choose to let those thoughts and beliefs go and pay attention to the deeper inspirations calling from the Core of your being. Ask yourself, "What is Life calling me to do in this moment?"

You Don't Always Need To Have It All Figured Out. Give It Time To Unfold

Worry Is Directly Related To Control

The answers you're looking for will arrive at the right time and not a moment sooner. The process of life is a self-sustaining system that functions within the framework of order and chaos. What we observe as chaos, is part of universal order just as the big bang created the cosmos. To highlight this idea, think of a situation in which you tried to control the outcome which turned against what you were hoping for? The point worth emphasising is, when you try to force something it never works out as planned, right? There are many schools of thought why this is so, depending on whom you speak to. Some say the universe comprises the language of mathematics while spiritual believers say the universe contains universal laws we must abide by. Irrespective of which school of thought you subscribe to, the common theme is: life knows what it's doing irrespective of whether we try to force or control it. Actually, wishing life to be a certain way is like trying to push a boulder up a hill: it is futile because of the weight of the rock. However, if you push the boulder downhill, it is easier given you are working with the laws of gravity.

I'm drawn to the message by psychotherapist and author David Richo who explains in The Five Things We Cannot Change: And the Happiness We Find by Embracing Them how worrying about outcomes holds us back from achieving inner peace: "We do not let go of control; we let go of the belief that we have control. The rest is grace. The givens of life are the tools the universe provides for that lesson. Worry is directly related to control. It seems that we worry about the future, finances, relationships, jobs, and all the other unpredictables in our lives. Actually, there is only one worry: that of not being in full control of what will happen."

We don't always need to have it all figured out since the answers are not there for us to see sometimes. What I mean is, life can be compared to a giant jigsaw puzzle working behind-the-scenes in such a way so the big picture comes together of its own time. Often what we experience is based on first impressions and is a missing piece of the puzzle still moving into place. Being impatient creatures, we often jump to conclusions too early. Where in actual fact, the process is still unfolding and will come together if we suspend our judgement of what is taking place.

Reality Will Triumph Each Time

Considering this, do you recall a recent experience that looked unpleasant initially, yet turned out to be a blessing in disguise? I remember an experience many years ago where I was constantly receiving traffic infringements for speeding. Whilst it caused distress, I realised I was always in a hurry to get from one point to another because of the hectic schedule I was keeping. I call it a wakeup call from the universe, inviting me to slow down instead of risk being involved in a motor vehicle accident and cause harm to myself and others. Whilst this incident happened long ago, I now appreciate the lesson and have learned to slow down to the speed of life. I may not have gained the lesson had I not been given several speeding infringements.

Similarly, what areas of your life are you resisting? What are you trying to control? Could there be another way? What lessons are contained within the experiences and are you willing to notice them? Whichever way you look at it, there is good news and bad news having it all figured out. The good news is: there is nothing to figure out because there will always be something to fill its place and you may chase your tail trying to control reality. The bad news is, trying to control reality is a game you will seldom win because as author Byron Katie says in Loving What Is: Four Questions That Can Change Your Life: "I am a lover of what is, not because I'm a spiritual person, but because it hurts when I argue with reality."

Opposing life is a contest we're bound to lose since reality will triumph each time. This doesn't mean we must surrender, but learn to co-create with the forces of life. As the adage goes: "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Working with the forces of life helps us realise, it is pointless trying to have it all figured out because everything has a way of developing as it should irrespective of our timeline. Moreover, we learn to let go of frustration, resistance and displeasure that life is working against us, when in fact life really doesn't care because it is doing its job regardless and it's just easier if we cooperate instead of oppose it. Either way the choices up to us, so choose consciously and wisely.

How People Are Stressed or Things Get To Big and Overwhelming

Stress is a learnt weakness, it is not natural. It is natural to be able to handle everything calmly. How can we overcome this habitual stressful reaction?

We must put in effort to feel stress. It is fully self-created and self-maintained. Stress is not natural.

The only reason to be upset is to be upset for either the adrenaline charge or to control the situation and other people. It just gives your mind something to be occupied with.

Negative thoughts grow on their own if we do not put effort into thinking positive thoughts. Try this exercise. When you have a negative thought, justify it by finding a VALID reason for it, if you cannot find a valid reason, then you have to let it go.

Feeling stressed is almost a hobby for many people. You will always have an image in your mind. We live in a world of duality and balance. If your thoughts are not positive, they will be negative. Negative thoughts are a habit and we are addicted to the stress of it, because we accept that life is stressful. That is what people say and you have come to believe is normal.

With this false belief, we make sure we are often under stress of some sort. If there is nothing to worry about, we can create something easily enough.

Is that person upset with me? Have I done something wrong? Why haven't they replied to my email? Maybe my last email was rude?

Once we get the taste of the adrenaline from stress, our body likes it and wants more. It is like cigarettes, we want to quit but can't. You are a drug addict and must quit. The power to quit is intellectual reason and logic that cannot justify the addiction.

There are many kinds of stress, seven of them have been detailed in my book Taming your Dragons. This little talk is the underlying foundation of all types of stress. You may not want to admit it is this simple, but in fact it is and your addiction to stress, through the use of buffers, will twist your mind into denying this lesson. All I can say is that you have the freedom of choice if you choose to use it.

Stressful situations are never void of the possibility of change, if you are willing to do what it takes to change. You have that freedom. Long gone are the days of the religious wars of conquest, threatening people to convert to Christianity or Islam as the case may be, or die. Perhaps the history of the worlds two largest religions still holds a fear and control over us. The decisions you face are in your control and are no longer made with a sword held to your throat. Put things into realistic perspective.

The question is if you enjoy the stress more than you desire inner peace. If that is the case, then your stress is pleasant to you and should not be stressful, rather it would be enjoyable and you should feel exhilarated. It is as simple as the person who goes to the doctor complaining that their leg hurts when they put their foot behind their head, and the doctor says; "So don't do that."

Becoming An Empowering Individual Now To Live The Life You Imagine (By James Nussbaumer)

There were very few tools available to me for finding inner power when I started learning to empower my career as an author.

For those who know my story, yes, I had to become an empowering individual from inside a prison where I 'd spent 8 long hellish years.

I had to do a lot of visualization meditation on my own, and when I was released from that hell on earth, and WOW did tools ever become available to me for things like finding inner peace and for manifesting my dreams.

Fast forward NOW and technology has become much more affordable and available.

Nowadays as an empowering individual, you can use tools to make your life easier, and you just have to pick the right ones.

Imagine being able to manifest your dream life. I mean without hard work or struggle.

Whether your wish is for more wealth, success, happiness, better relationships, good health.

I particularly like how the Power of Manifestation on autopilot will manifest happiness, prosperity and abundance.

You can do the opposite by using empowering affirmations that will shift forward your inner power to take action.

It's impossible to empower yourself and to attract abundance, happiness and wealth if you're focused on putting yourself down.

Here are some examples to try during your visualization meditation sessions:

Empowering affirmations that span across time: Think about what's already happened, what's happening now, and what's yet to come.

Put it all together like this:

-" BEFORE, I was in the dark and really broke, in the dumps and miserable and hated the world.

Use visualization meditation affirmations that are crystal clear and saying something like:

-" I am loved" or "I am powerful and blessed" is a good start, but they're a bit vague.

Previously I discussed tapping in to your real inner power now to bring forth prosperity and abundance and to live the life you imagine.

As for being blessed and powerful, you can say:

-" I'm blessed with infinite and powerful resources and opportunities, and my life is abundant and full."

Be sure you use affirmations with an attitude to empower, and another way to supercharge your subconscious is by being a little cheeky with your statements.

Adding some light hearted humor amplifies your signal and makes it easier for the Power of the Universe to hear your thoughts.

When you improve the quality of your thoughts and perceptions, to empower is as if your circumstances will rearrange itself on their own.

These changes to empower yourself will seem to happen without doing much on your part. The truth is that you're already doing the heavy lifting by disciplining your mind.

Empowering affirmations are those that use time as your partner.

The Course in Miracles teaches that, "The universe uses time on our behalf."

Think about what's already happened, what's happening now, and the life you are yet to lead as an empowering individual.

Starting today, you can apply these visualization meditation tips I've just shared with you to shift forward in your mind and reflect your inner creations to your material world.

The more you practice them, the bigger the shift will result from your efforts. I hope you make use of this knowledge to empower yourself so you can indeed get the life you want.

That said, begin to consider the ways to empower and start bringing results home.

(Please note I suggest searching the net fo further material on personal transformation uncovered now to release a scarcity mindset and live the life you imagine.)

To success at living the life you imagine!

Discover The Healing Power Of Pyramid Meditation (By Mercedes Oestermann Van Essen)

I have been meditating for over 15 years. During that time I have also tried many different types of meditation with varying degrees of success.

Meditation should bring inner peace, harmony and open one's mind to receive knowledge which isn't accessible to the linear mind. When I discovered the healing power of pyramid meditation by accident, as it happened, a new world opened up for me:

It all began when I was experimenting with improving the effects of my space harmonizing pyramids.

I was given a helping hand by a very experienced healer and pyramid expert. Armed with the new secret ingredient I embarked on an intense pyramid production journey experimenting with different materials. I could feel the increased power from the new pyramids compared to the pyramids I had created before.

The biggest revelation though happened when one day I idly placed one of the new creations on my forehead.

Well, I had the biggest surprise of my life:

Within a few minutes my brain entered in a state of deep harmony. I began to see different worlds with my inner vision. I couldn't believe my eyes at the immense clarity of this inner vision which unfolded like a huge HD screen in front of my inner eyes. Was I dreaming? No. Within a couple of days I was given proof of what I had seen: I came across a video on the internet with the exact images I was shown when meditating with the pyramid in my head.

I continued to meditate with the new pyramid on my head. The healing power of pyramid meditation revealed itself to me in many ways each time I meditated.

I have verified many a vision I received from healing pyramid meditation.

I went back to my old pyramids, the effect wasn't the same. In fact I found that only the new formula pyramids provided the powerful harmonizing impact on the brain that enables one to access information the mind cannot possibly access in the linear way.

Well, I hardly need to tell you how excited I felt about the new discovery.

Now, many months into pyramid meditation I have had many amazing insights, visions and healing experiences. My own ability to do healing work with clients and buildings has increased ten fold since I have worked with the pyramids.

My connection to cosmic forces has strengthened. It seems like the pyramid meditation creates a bridge between one's consciousness and the universe which is an amazing experience.

I have given the pyramids to my partner and friends to experiment.

Every one of them also experienced the amazing energy from the pyramids in their own way.

In order to get the best results meditation needs to be focused on an intention. When you do this the beneficial effect increases and becomes measurable. If you can measure the impact of a technique in some way, the logical part of the brain will accept the new practice effortlessly.

I encourage you to find out more about the healing power of pyramid meditation. I write about it regularly in my blog and share new insights about the healing pyramid meditation techniques I am creating, or is it the universe that is creating them for me?

Sat Chit Ananda, Pure Blissful Consciousness

I seek you in temples, in altars and shrines, in mantras and malas, in murtis and idols, what do I seek? That which is already in me, which I do not realize or can't fathom, the depths of non duality, my being is you, only you, yet I question every step, every turn that life takes, ridden with the burden of karmas, mistakes or lessons that I learnt, only increasing my faith in the very existence of the force that is the very essence of life, who do I call in the a crisis, when I am overcome with joy, the cosmic Brahman, I see you in all, peace, peace, peace.

The atman drives our existence, taking us through life's experiences, some that are what we want and some that are painfully not needed. Yet the being evolves with these experiences, strengthening ever more with the realization of Sat Chit Ananda.

Sat Chit Ananda, never changing Absolute being, surreal, the undifferentiated state of non-duality. It is the most perfect expression of living reality, the primordial Self, our inner being, that which is a part of the divine. Chit, pure consciousness, are the experiences unlimited by creation.

Ananda is bliss, limitless divine joy of the soul. We identify with that which does not change, and become the witness of the changes of nature. Going from a state of being to no being, from asking to receiving and giving, inner peace, tranquility and joy.

Watch as the seer and not the doer, go to higher levels of consciousness, not bound by rituals or doctrines, the self can be realized in any which way that your inner being asks you. Some find their path through meditation others through singing kirtans or yoga.

Sat is truth, the destroyer of falsehood, delusion, ego and illusion. It leads us from the unreal, the perceived reality to the real, out of the shadow and into visible consciousness of our true state that is union with the Brahman. Sat liberates us from a limited, narrowness of thought and action to our boundless and natural state of pure being.

So no more Karma or karmic action, and retribution it is the absolute truth of the being that you see simply and subjectively. I bore the brunt of my karmic action weighed down with pain and sadness with the world, till I realized that my being is pure and only in unison with the Brahman.

He is me, I am him, so where and how is this a game of blame. Go forward, take charge of the Sat through Chit and reach for Ananda.

Chit is consciousness reaching out of slumber and forgetfulness into our true nature of unconditional love. Ananda is pure absolute bliss, joy and union with the Brahman. Release all tensions, stress, obstacles, chaos and conflict, and disturbances and you are in union with the Brahman, surrender and be purified.

In Satchitananda, the chakras are balanced in harmony and this synergistic flow allows the kundalini to flow and prana permeates every molecule of your being and floods the consciousness.

The I KNOW Syndrome and How It Is Making Us Foolish and Stupid (By Shamala Tan)

I don't know if this is a teenage thing, but my daughter for a period of time keeps saying I KNOW, whenever I tell her something. Or if I see that she's out of line I'll say something and she says in an agitated tone, I KNOW!

One day, I reprimanded her for using too much data Instagramming when she was out (it was an ongoing issue). She can have unlimited wifi at home so she should just wait till she gets home. Of course, she replied I KNOW, I'm sorry, just to cut me off.

I responded immediately: It is not enough to say sorry, you say sorry all the time but you still do not do the right thing. If you are really sorry then do the right thing and I know you are really sorry. Plus saying I KNOW only makes you foolish because you will cut people off and you will stop learning and listening because you think you know when you don't. And you do not even know the reason why I am restricting your data usage.

From that day on, she has not been liberal with her I KNOW! This is my teenage daughter and I am here to guide her which I am grateful for. But she is just one mild example of one having the I KNOW syndrome.

In our information age, how many adults have you met with the I KNOW syndrome? It is mind-boggling. I meet at least one I KNOW syndrome about once in every two days.

Why do people say I know when they don't? It is because the internet dispenses information like sugar in a candy store. Most people devour information like it is biblical truth. Information is just information. Information is not wisdom. Information does not make you smarter. Information certainly does not offer much guidance when it comes to living life fully.

This is the same as people having a mobile phone camera thinking they have become professional photographers. Or buying a graphic design app and think they have become graphic designers. How arrogant the human mind has become!

I have witnessed that those who often say I KNOW are usually those who are stagnated, they have not developed further on their path, they have become stale and they are frustrated. The thing is they do not realise that they have become their worst enemy because of their arrogance.

I have always been fond of people who are open to learning no matter how old they are! One of my best clients are those whom many would consider having reached the age of wisdom -- and yet they are so open to learning. They are not afraid to appear silly with their questions, because they have a genuine desire to learn in their quest for personal development.

The I KNOW syndrome makes us believe that we have all the knowledge and wisdom. Wisdom is wisdom only when information and knowledge is internalised to make real. We have to apply the information to make it real. The internet offers information only for your reading pleasure, it does not make it real for you in your life.

So watch for the I KNOW syndrome, and watch that it does not lead you down the path of foolishness, it could cost you your inner peace and long term happiness.

4 Cues to Find the Deep Inner Peace of Your Clear Quiet Mind ( By Kevin Schoeninger)

Over 30 years ago I discovered my clear quiet mind on a backpacking trip out West. In this article, I share four simple cues you can use to instantly find the deep inner peace of your clear quiet mind.

In 1984, I had just graduated from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and I was inspired to take a backpacking trip. I was definitely a city-boy, hadn't done anything in the way of backpacking, and had never been west of the Mississippi.

For the month of August that year, I journeyed by car and on foot through Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming with a friend. We explored the Canyonlands, the Grand Canyon, and Yellowstone National Park. We spent hours, day after day, in nature, without any TV, radio, news, music, or entertainment. The natural landscape was our primary stimulation.

What struck me most on this trip was the clear spacious sky (you can see for miles in that part of the country), the silence, and the stillness. I absorbed these three qualities deep into my body during that month.

To this day, I recall quite distinctly what I felt as I sat on the plane flying home. I had an overwhelming feeling of contentment. I was completely peaceful, my mind was still, and I felt no sense of worry or struggle. I felt completely free and at ease.

Out of this transcendent experience, three things became clear:

1) I discovered such a state is possible.

2) I found I needed to take a break from my busyness to arrive at this state.

3) I wanted to find ways to reproduce it, deepen it, and expand it. I wanted to cultivate this state as a reliable baseline to live from and return to whenever I need.

This led me on a quest of learning, practicing, and teaching in the disciplines of T'ai Chi, Qigong, Reiki, meditation, Centering Prayer, and other mind-body disciplines. From these years of study, practice, and teaching, I gathered specific techniques that reliably generate deep peace and calm clarity.

The first of these techniques is a set of four cues you can use to have an instant experience of your clear quiet mind. These cues give you a glimpse of what shifting to this perspective feels like, so you can get acquainted with it. You can build on these brief moments moving forward and cultivate a strong and unshakeable perspective of calm clarity that you can return to anytime you need or desire.

You can do each of the following techniques in just a few seconds or up to a few minutes-whichever you prefer. As you try them out, a few words of advice: see if you can let go of trying too hard or questioning what's happening. See if it's possible to let go of preconceptions and be open to what you can discover. Don't worry if you're doing these techniques exactly right. If one doesn't work for you, just move on to the next one.

Four Simple Cues to Find Your Clear Quiet Mind

1. Stillness: feel the stillness underneath all movements in the center of your brain.

Focus into the center of your brain-a point between your ears, directly under the crown point of your head, and halfway between your forehead and the base of your skull. You can imagine sitting in a comfortable chair there.

Once you are seated in the center of your brain, imagine and feel "stillness" there. Imagine sitting there as still as you can be. There is no thought in the center of your brain to disturb you or make you think you need to keep moving to get things done, so it's easy to imagine sitting still there. Go ahead and give this a try for about 15 seconds now.

Imagine and feel yourself sitting in stillness in the center of your brain...

Did your mind become still for a moment?

Let's add Cue #2.

2. Silence: listen to the silence underneath all sounds in the center of your brain.

Sit in the center of your brain again and see if it's possible to listen to the silence underneath the sounds there for about 15 seconds. Listen to silence in the center of your brain...

How did this feel? Did your mind become quiet for a moment?

Now, let's add Cue #3.

3. Space: focus into open, clear space in the center of your brain.

Imagine the center of your brain as open, clear, and spacious. Go ahead and try this for another 15 seconds. Sit in the open clear space in the center of your brain...

Are you getting a feel for what it's like to have a clear quiet mind-if only for a few brief moments?

Let's add Cue #4.

4. Who is having this experience?

Sit in the center of your brain again and ask "Who is having this experience?" Go ahead, give it a try and see what you discover. Ask yourself, "Who is having this experience?"

For a few moments, did your mind go blank? Did your thoughts stop, for just a second or two? Interesting, isn't it? When I do this, it makes me smile, as if I just discovered a secret treasure.

If you'd like to experiment with these four cues a little longer, and get more familiar with them, go ahead and spend a few minutes practicing them now. What happens when you sit in the center of your brain, feel the still, silent, space there, and ask, "Who is having this experience?"

As you practice these four cues together, over time, they'll blend into one experience of still, silent, spacious awareness. If you prefer, you can also use them individually, especially if you find one of them that really works well for you. I think you'll find this very relaxing.

These four cues come from my book "Clear Quiet Mind." They are just a taste of what the deep inner peace of your clear quiet mind is like. To learn how to deepen, live from, and return to this peaceful state of mind anytime you need, see the link below.

Practices of Living an Extraordinary Life

Man Sitting on Concrete Pavement Near Grassfield

Life is full of mysteries which include happiness and unfortunately hardships. Solving all the turmoil's that is associated with daily living is challenging yet can be rewarding as well. Attempting to keep pace with rigorous daily schedules in a world that continues to evolve with the introduction of new technology and the ever present danger of outside influences from other countries only increases the burden which dwells on the negatives instead of the positives which are ever present, however never recognized.

Life is more than financial freedom, although this appears to be the goal of the majority of individuals who seek such freedom. The steps to financial freedom are steep and narrow requiring dedication and sacrifices that are at times insurmountable and cumbersome. Focusing on obtaining what is often out of reach to many, detracts from the true rewards of life, simple yet inspiring daily surroundings that are taken for granted however remain clearly visible, ever present at the end of your nose.

In today's economy living life to the fullest is often associated with working 12-16 hours a day in order to pay for executive homes and expensive automobiles that are nothing more than a mere image of what truly lies beneath the surface. Climbing the corporate ladder often has rungs or steps missing which lead to additional downfalls which are rarely rectified. Seeking approval of others with promotions and corporate exposure from colleagues, co-workers and friends is undoubtedly the eventual beginning of a life filled with disappointments and many additional hurdles to jump over.

Surprisingly enough there are those individuals with firm beliefs that deem success is not measured by the size of bank accounts but by personal well-being and the inner spirit that takes the time to pay attention, to unplug from society for only a few parting moments. Success is becoming a whole person, a person that is aware of his or her surroundings, a person that is appreciative of sunsets, moonlit walks on the beach and a warm embrace from someone near and dear. Success is a simple wink, admiring landscapes of distant shores seen for the first time or merely taking the time to greet strangers with a friendly and warm smile.

It is a simple fact. There will always be someone that has more or less than you have, someone who is better than you in many different ways. Comparison is one of the biggest distractions throughout life, one that depletes the soul of feelings and emotions replaced by hatred and ambiguity towards others and oneself. Comparing yourself to another is an irreversible form of self-destruction that only breeds contempt fueled by misunderstandings and rumors which spread like wild fires through a dry and depleted forest, forever burning. Be happy who you are, what you have not what you want. Experience life to the fullest by reflecting on the present, your surroundings and everyday occurrences that may appear ordinary or commonplace but are in fact miracles brought forth for all to share.

Peace of Mind

Peace of mind or inner peace is a state when your brain is free from the thoughts of distress. The state when your feelings and emotions reach the level of existential bummer. You submit yourself to your creator whole-heartedly. You are no longer convinced by the statement that there is no absolution. You find a way to map the radiant thinking process of your brain against the flow states. Inner peace is a feeling of relief and calmness. You are actually close to your Lord and your Lord is close to you. You find yourself emotionally present and no longer lost in some kind of fantasy.

Inner peace is the state when you no longer question about your fate. You finally accept the fact that life is not about victories or losses, but it is all about a continuous process of growth. The situations where you are just not thinking about your future, but try hard to live in present. You are no longer controlled by the horrible incidents of the past. You finally accept the truth that you are the sum of your experiences and each bad experience had made you stronger. There is little goodness in every bad experience.

The state where you connect your soul to something that is beyond this materialistic world, to something that is greater than yourself. You are self-aware and self-conscious. You know your way and where you are heading. You don't need anyone acceptance. You start keeping everyone at arm's length. You accept the truth that everything is in your Allah's hand. HE is all-knowing and all-hearing. HE is there for you even when no one else is. You finally find peace in your prayers. Your heart just throws the burden of all negative thoughts. You just ask your Lord to give you some purpose in life.

Inner peace gives you strength to go beyond your constraints and become selfless. You beg him not to take you back into something he has taken you out from. You become courageous enough to leave the table where respect is no longer served. You become aware of your critical inner voice. You become ready to take risks and dive into the river of future curiosity. You fill the room with your sense of knowingness. You become more stable in your decisions and less judgmental. Inner peace is a state where things like anxiety and depression, cannot control you anymore. You are free in your head and heart. It is not easy to attain this peaceful state of being; it demands a long and continuous struggle. Once you enter into this state of blissful happiness, you become mentally immortal.

How To Transform Your Life And Get Started On A Personal Growth Plan (By James Nussbaumer)

Ever feel like you need to figure a way for how you can change your life? It wasn't that long ago when my entire life crashed to a wrecking ball, and then a miraculous personal growth plan had started.

I'd known deep within there was a burning need to change my life and to make a much needed career change, but I'd put off on taking any sort of action.

The Course in Miracles teaches, "There is no substitute for truth. And truth will make this plain to you as you are brought into the place where you must meet with truth."

I was nervously treading water, watching my boat sinking fast, and without a life preserver. I was turning fifty, and felt anchored to the bottom of the lake, lost for air.

The Confused Mind

For many years a voice within would tell me, "you can change your life," a transformation had been urging a shift in me, but out of fear I resisted. I would hear the voice, but just wouldn't listen.

I felt as though I couldn't find my inner peace, so I tried on the weird belief that I could make something of myself that I was not meant to be.

As I see it now, when I wouldn't take action when the voice urged "you can change your life," this was the beginning of an undoing process that would eventually set me free.

The Course in Miracles states, "The Holy Spirit has the power to change the whole foundation of the world you see to something else; a basis not insane, on which sane perception can be base, another world perceived."

Listening to the Voice

This undoing entailed the gradual, ongoing obliteration of a manmade thought system I had been buying into for most of my adult life.

At the time, while continuing to feel that urging in me saying, you can change your life, I felt myself drowning in a sea of disbelief, a confused mind, and terror.

An indictment had been issued by the grand jury of the State of Ohio, and I was soon to be arrested for a selfish mistake I made through my business practice as a financial advisor.

My actions were not a part of a Ponzi scheme, but more a brash mishandling of the money of three clients totaling approximately 100,000 dollars.

And then, from prison, is when I began writing, and finally started following the guidance of my inner Teacher telling me, you can change your life.

To a life of peace and success!

When Bad Behaviour Is A Call For Help

We often think of bad behaviour as a great inconvenience, whether it is from our teenager, our family member, our colleague or friend. It causes us great inconvenience because it just means we have to clean up their mess, and right the wrong.

Sometimes these bad behaviours even cause us great embarrassment and we just want them to pay for it. Or sometimes, their bad behaviour just hurts other people with rippling repercussions.

It is "almost natural" for us to feel victimised by other people's bad behaviour, we feel as if we are at their mercy (yes even our teenagers) because we feel helpless and we are not able to control them.

But what if, their bad behaviour is a call for help?

What if, your adult friends or colleagues have huge insecurity issues, power struggles, a need to be in control, are simply unhappy with themselves because they do not have inner peace, and they lash out and start behaving like rebellious teens? What can we do for these overgrown teens? What is it that they want?

Bear in mind that their mindset and psychology is still like a teen, so it is challenging to speak to them like equal adults because firstly they do not wish to be treated like one. Secondly, they are asking for attention and throwing a temper tantrum.

How would you care for a teen who is asking for help via bad behaviour? They want attention, they want love, they want to be listened to. So this is exactly what you can do for your overgrown teenager friends/colleagues until such time when you realize that they have much deeper issues and a professional therapist is needed.

What you can do:

  • Give them time to talk
  • Guide the conversation to make sure it is a productive conversation and not one for ranting
  • Assure them that you care and that their views are taken into consideration
  • Crack them with lots of love and attention (not romantic love, obviously)
  • If needed, send them to a professional

How would you know if they have much deeper issues?
Just look at what is going on in their lives. Do they have an addiction/bad habit that is consuming them? Do they have a happy family life? Are they facing tremendous pressure in the workplace to keep up? These are some telltale signs that their bad behaviour actually stems from a self-destructive mode. It goes way deeper.

I've witnessed enough of my clients, friends, family, colleagues who under such deep inner pressure just want to destroy themselves from the inside because they cannot take it anymore. And this, of course, impacts all of us around them. And I've sent countless people to therapists whom I work with to make sure they get back on track.

As a life coach, I coach people towards various life goals, but sometimes, these bad behaviours get in the way, and we have to make adjustments accordingly. The goal they want may not be what they need.

Not all goals we want in life should be achieved. Not especially if they are at the expense of our inner peace, inner love, inner power and inner wisdom.

Judge not those around you who are behaving badly, they may be choking in their call for help.

How To Have Inner Peace And Where To Find Happiness, Balance And Harmony In Life

If you're looking for where to find happiness and not succeeding, perhaps you're looking in the wrong places.

We can begin the quest for where to find happiness by separating our memories into a few different chests for different reasons, if you will.

The 'Treasure Chest' of the mind is where we put our most valued memories.

When searching for a happy life; contentment, balance and comfort and harmony in life, we open this chest.

The 'Hope Chest' of our mind is for our goals and objectives and for imagining how tomorrow will turn out to be a tremendous success.

As each is fulfilled it is then moved to our Treasure Chest.

The 'Dumpster Chest' of the mind is for letting go of the things we no longer what to hold onto.

When in this chest they are discarded, to be forever released and surrendered.

When these memories are put in the Dumpster Chest you need to never go digging them out.

The Course in Miracles states, "There is no need to learn through pain."

Your ideas are a reflection of who and what you are, and also help you get the life you want and how to have inner peace.

Delighted people have delighted ideas.

That doesn't mean that the pleased person never has a wrong-minded ego-based thought, it means the happy person knows the best ways to move these bad attitudes and the like into the Dumpster Chest and then forget them.

If someone mentions something poorly about you and is not pleasant, or somebody acts and is very distasteful, don't take it to heart, it is not a reflection of you, but a reflection of them.

It's merely what remains in their Treasure Chest or Hope Chest that should have been put in their Dumpster Chest?

If you want to enjoy, take the time to listen and sit, and then believe about your ideas and destiny.

Put the good ones in your Treasure Chest or Hope Chest and the bad ones in your Dumpster Chest.

Focus just on your Treasure Chest and Hope Chest for they are now full of the jewels of hope and joy, and it's where to find happiness.

The Course in Miracles also states, "What gives you happiness you want to learn and not forget."

Simply keep in mind without judgement or condemnation that happy and peaceful individuals spend their effort adding to their Treasure and Hope chests, while dissatisfied individuals spend their time arranging through the dumpster.

Leave the garbage behind and become a treasure hunter if you are serious about where to find happiness and joy.
