Life's Three Basic Principles

Yes, there are hundreds if not thousands of life principles, but I only have a few hundred words to share what I believe are the most important three in life and they are:

-You reap what you sow.

-You become what you think.

-You attract what you project.

I could also go in a spiritual direction when it comes to life's fundamental principles but I will let you interpret these from any perspective you choose. But, for the record, I believe all of life's basic principles are grounded in Scripture and to ignore or avoid this basic premise is a serious mistake.

So, now that I am out there - you can choose to continue, move on to your next task and/or interpret the following three in any way you feel comfortable. But keep in mind that one of my life's missions is to get under people's skin and make them feel a bit uncomfortable with the status quo, conventional wisdom or staying stuck. And I have to tell you that to date I seem to be doing a relatively good job!

And here are the details;

You reap what you sow.

Regardless of whether it's your finances, relationships, career, business or life in general this is one of the basics of life that I am sure you have learned or are learning now. We can't escape consequences and all consequences are the result of prior actions, decisions, choices and behavior.

Why do we sow what we don't want to reap? Well, there are hundreds of great books that address this topic so let me just say that we are human, we are often in denial, we do stupid stuff and we think we are above the consequences that life uses to teach us to live better, wiser and stronger.

It doesn't matter how long you have been here, your education or circumstances - we all do stupid stuff sooner or later and the result - well we reap what we have planted.

If you plant green beans in your garden and you think you are going to get corn you might want to rethink your approach to gardening. The same is true of every area of life - you are currently reaping what you have sown whether positives; wealth, health, success, a positive legacy and reputation or the opposite of all of these. Don't like what you are reaping? Then start sowing different stuff - it's that simple.

You become what you think.

For hundreds of years' experts have been telling us that we become what we think about. Well, recent research on mind function has finally given us the statistics and reasons why this concept is true. I won't bore you with the details but I will give you one very critical stat. Over 95% of a person's thoughts in any given day are negative, pessimistic or self-invalidating. Over 60 years ago a book called - Optimism, the biology of Hope, by a medical doctor and Psychiatrist, Lionel Tiger laid out the facts that have been finally proven.

So are you - unhappy, broke, sick, alone, stressed etc. stop looking outside yourself for the answers or solutions and start looking in the mirror. Change your thoughts and you can change your life.

You attract what you project.

Mental projection is a simple yet complicated concept so let me lay it out in very brief terms.

Psychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others.

For example, a person who is habitually rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude. It incorporates blame shifting. According to some research, the projection of one's unconscious qualities onto others is a common process in everyday life.
I am not a big fan of formal definitions so let me put this in my own terms.

When we project certain traits, behaviors or attitudes to the outside world we are basically saying this is you and not me but in the end the reality is that it IS me and NOT you. Why do people project? What do they project?

Well they project because they can't admit or accept personal flaws, behaviors or attitudes. They have blind spots. They project everything that they feel makes them less than perfect or desirable as a human.

That's it folks - my take on three of life's biggest principles.

Laughter Really Is the Best Medicine (By Kathleen Dwyer-Blair)

One of my favorite things to do is to laugh. I just love how it feels to experience that seemingly uncontrollable belly laugh that jars the body and the system and feeds my soul. It doesn't matter what triggers it.

My Laughter could be triggered by:

• Jimmy Fallon or Tina Fey

• A funny joke a friend tells

• My husband's natural funniness

• Something I've done unexpectedly that makes me laugh at myself

• My dog, Keegan, running around with her squeaky toy shaking her head and booty

• Watching a child dancing, or how they bask in the little wonders of the world

It just feels so delicious and there is no better emotional release, at times, than unabashed laughter.

Did You Have Your Daily Dose of Laughter?

Take notice, do you find yourself laughing often, or is this a rare occurrence? If laughter is uncommon, what may be standing in the way of your laughter, or the ability to find lightness in experiences?

We've talked before how tears are necessary and an amazing and important way of releasing pain, stress, or trauma. Laughter may be equally as important as a way of releasing distressing emotions. Our bodies may even crave laughter, even if we are not aware of it.

Laughter has been known to...

• Lower stress

• Release endorphins to improve mood

• Heighten immunity

• Increase tolerance to pain

• Help enhance and or mend relationships

• Improve relaxation and sleep

... be contagious.

Embracing the Silliness in Life

I feel blessed to have beings in my life that just make me laugh. I do believe that I have manifested this for myself since laughter is so important to me. If laughter is significant to us, it means that we may want to surround ourselves with people and experiences that allow us to laugh.

I do love to share deeply with those in my life and equally love to laugh with them. This for me creates balance. Just allowing ourselves to feel the joy, the silliness, the playfulness, and the levity in our experiences.

"Laughter helps us roll with the punches that inevitably come our way. The power of laughter is unleashed every time we laugh. In today's stressful world, we need to laugh much more."

~ Enda Junkins, LCSW, LMFT, BCD. Known as the Laughing Psychotherapist.

Seeking Out Our Inner Playful Self

If bouts of spontaneous laughter are few and far between, it might be helpful to be mindful of what we do find funny in everyday experiences. Or does life feel so serious that we have not found room for silliness, playfulness, or humor?

If we don't know how to organically tap into our inner playful self, there are ways that we could explore what may help us to laugh.

Finding Your Funny:

Only we can identify what we find funny. If we don't know what makes us laugh, we can take some time to connect and explore possible things that may help to bring out our laughter. If laughter never came naturally, we might need to do a little research to find our funny bone.

Do You Have The Life You Deserve? (By Felipe Tognarelli)

How to improve your life and get the motivation to pursue your dreams!

I remember growing up with the widely accepted notion that life will somehow just give way to my fantasies and wishes. But as I grew older, I discovered the depth of the saying; "if wishes were horses, we would all be riders".

If we could all just get what we desired, then no one would have to be wallowing in the disgrace of lack or struggle with pursuing their dreams. While considering if it is possible for someone to have the life we deserve and also while trying to improve my own life and get motivation to pursue my dreams, I noticed that life will not hand you what you need but will give you what you demand and that there is a way to place such a demand.

I may not always have deserved what I demanded, I certainly didn't demand to be diagnosed with stage 2 Cancer while only being 25 years old, but the fact is that we all get what we demand or attract, and most of the time, we all do this unconsciously by letting our thought take control of our lives. With this knowledge, I admitted that life was never handing me what I deserved and it never would. If today, I'm not where I want to be in life it's because I didn't place the demand or I never thought of myself as someone capable of achieving success, there was always the "but" keeping my brain "tied up" telling myself I am just not good enough, then I surely have realized what I've demanded my entire life - Nothing.

Once before this realization, I attracted a lot of negative thoughts that weighed me down on the highway of life to destiny, but I decided to get rid of all these beliefs to finally start taking control of my life and move it towards my dream, you know what they say... if you don't control your life, your life will control you... So life has finally given me what I demanded, reshape my mind and take over it!

Now, the fact that I wanted something doesn't necessarily mean that I have decided to have that one thing, and the difference here is what has transformed in my life. Although it is the greatest importance and obviously the first step, desiring accomplishment and a better life won't necessarily give you that life, you must be relentless and hustle every single day to achieve that type of life you are after, success is not complicated to obtain, just hard, but not complicated.

This is what I have seen as the key that unlocked my latent abilities and eventually my drive. The fact about dreaming is that it's everyone's ability, it is therefore, imperative that one must dream big or as others may say "think big". An inner source of motivation I first chose to cleave to is; to dream and think bigger every day, through the rain and whatever weather I was going to dream big. Dreaming was the first step to my improved life. The consistency of my dreams bears much who I am ordinarily and creates spaces for a better me. Dreaming big as I have understood, helps me realize all the greatness that I can be, but am not yet and this sets me on the edge. I cannot sit comfortably with the understanding that I am less than I should be.

So, what would happen if we don't decide to act upon our dreams? Then, times will come when the only apparent option is to desert your dreams and desires to settle for less, that's why the matter of deciding to press on must be permanently present, because if not now, then when?. The truth in life is that not every day will be a sunny day, storms and tempests will come and your resolve to hang on and remain in the game is what will determine you having the life you deserve.

Dreaming big, I came to realize that helped me to get to another phase of improving my life; knowing myself and knowing my life, knowing where I was and where I wanted to go. Another important matter to achieve the life we have always dreamed about, we must avoid the "identity Crisis" the quest for who to imitate or who to masquerade as being that. Not knowing oneself is a deterrent to personal improvement because the fact is we are all different and to improve oneself, one must know their own self. This knowledge is what makes me and not somebody else, you are the anchor of your own show and you and have the power to decide whatever dreams you will pursue to achieve or not.

I see that it is never really any improvement repeating what another man has done. I can and should learn from the achievements and failures of other men, but I should never replicate them, it is fundamental to have a mentor, someone that has accomplished what we are trying to accomplish, so we can learn from them, however, failure and success are personal, they are subject to circumstances such as the principal conditions around the person and activity. Thus, because conditions cannot, in essence, be replicated, it not wise to want to replicate the success of another man.

The fact that I know myself helps me to decide on what and what not to indulge myself in. I know what activities would drain me without seeing any conceivable benefits and those that will engage me with returns, but no conceivable drains.

A wise man once said, "Wisdom is the ability to recognize difference". And in defining wisdom he says "is pragmatic of life". I have seen that when I recognize the difference between what I can and cannot do, I do not stress myself on the "cannot", rather I reinforce my can.

Reinforcing what I can do is the third step to improving my life. From nature, we can learn that, when a seed is planted it is not guaranteed that it will grow and bear the fruits a plant should. It needs water and fertilizers, sunlight and weeding. Eventually, the plant brings forth, likewise, the knowledge of who I am was basically the seed that had been planted, and I then need to water that seed, provide it with fertilizers, sunlight and weed the ground around the seed.

This reinforcement is what I have seen comes from awareness, I should gain as much knowledge as I can on the dreams I have, the pros and the cons. The knowledge I get from books, the internet, learning from others (specifically those I can recognize as having achievements in areas of my ambitions) and from nature will help me further pursue my dreams, this knowledge points me in the right direction of implementation and also gives the momentum towards my dreams. Without such knowledge I will gamble with what to and what not to do, this eats large chunks from invaluable time.

Lastly, improvement is guaranteed by work. I may have big dreams and know how to achieve them, but without the express vigor of taking action to the latter, big dreams and abilities are simply that. To translate big dreams into their tangible equivalents, I have learned that I have to work them out, there is no magic involved, just work and we all can work.

The times that I've encountered the greatest improvements in my life have been in the hardest times when facing my biggest challenges, but I essentially kept on pressing without stopping. The motivation to keep on going comes from the knowledge that what I am facing right now is not unknown, there have been countless people before me that have encountered similar and worse challenges and overcame them successfully.

Until next time!

Intimacy Is Attractive (By Jeanna Gabellini)

Photo Of Man Kissing Woman

Many years ago I attended a 70th birthday party for an extraordinary coach and leader, Chuck Roppel. The invitation said the price of admission to his one-man show was that you had to wear a dress.

I had no idea what we were in for at this event. We dolled ourselves up and were delighted to see that even the men attending wore dresses (although some very reluctantly!).

The dresses were used as a potent metaphor for the different "dresses" or "roles" we wear throughout our lives. We have the dress of being a good student... or a rebellious one. The dress of an employee for this company or an owner of that one.

We have our dresses that stay on for decades or the ones we try on and tear off immediately. Each dress leads us to the next dress.

Chuck's one-man show took us through all the dresses of his life up to that point. I thought I knew him well after being in a leadership program with him for a year and hanging out with him for over a decade.

I was wrong.

Chuck revealed so much about himself at his celebration that most people were moved to tears and/or hollering with joy. He created so much intimacy in the theatre that the room buzzed with admiration and love for this amazing man.

He did it by simply being himself and inviting us into his journey. He told stories, tap danced, sang, and dressed in his own ball gown at the end. He held nothing back about who he has been and what he craves for the future. It was sooo attractive.

I believe more intimacy can be allowed into all of our lives. In fact, I'd love to see more of it in the business world. Much more. I mean real intimacy.

Too many people are hiding behind what will look professional or trying to make a good impression. Some folks don't even know they have armor on. When you withhold who you are, you pinch off the flow of abundance. You repel instead of attract.

Now, I'm not promoting airing your dirty laundry. We don't need to know all of the details of your past. But we are attracted to people who know how to create intimacy by fully showing us what's underneath the dress.

We want to see You. Simply you. Be good at allowing YOU to come through everything you do in your biz, and your 5-Star Clients will come a knockin'.

Message From the Universe: What Your Thoughts Can Attract!

Image result for steps to success

"It's not that folks act a certain way around you, but rather that you attract certain types of folks based upon your thoughts, beliefs, and expectations.

Now that is really, really good news, huh?
The Universe"

Same as saying: "Misery attracts misery". The more you hang around negative people, the more you will tend to become negative yourself. The opposite is also true. When you tend to feel sorry about yourself and complain all the time, you will subconsciously look for people who complain and feel sorry about themselves. Similarly, we ARE what we EAT so when you eat like a pig, you will eventually look like one, unless you have one hell of a great metabolism. Nevertheless, in any of these statements presented, everything can be fixed. When you tend to think negative most of the time, you must change crowds and look for more upbeat people. Obviously, what you did before didn't work very well for you so change the frequency and start looking for people who are more positive and happy. You will start changing your attitude accordingly. Just like a chameleon, your mind will adapt to the color of the environment so make sure the latter is a great one. It is important to reach out to a mentor during moment of weakness so he/she can help you get out of this funk. We will all go through difficult times in life, and no one is immune to it at all. Do you think the rich people out there aren't fighting to keep their lifestyle as it is? They are more stressed than anyone else. If they don't, the fall can hurt badly so they pedal ten times harder to stay up there. Unlike its counterpart, the poor people are already living a simple life where if a big mistake is made, the fall won't hurt as bad as the rich people. Hence, the reason why we see very poor people happier than the rich one. They really have not much to lose in life.

I am not saying to let go of your dreams of becoming wealthy or live a glorified life. If this is what you want to do, then go for it. You need to come to evidence that the journey to go up there is interesting and challenging to say the least, but to stay up there is definitely a harder and more tiring process. You need to surround yourself with smarter people than yourself so you can keep up and continue pushing yourself to learn more so you can catch up. As I said, staying up there is NOT easy and you will always have to be creative and continue searching for more opportunities. The message I am trying to convey is that during the journey to becoming successful will be the most enjoyable one because it will teach you many lessons that you need to STAY successful when you get there. So put the negative thoughts aside for now, and forever and start joining groups of entrepreneurs that are also peddling hard to reach the top. You all have something in common here so to make things work, you will start depending on each other to keep yourself motivated to reach the top. Once up there, well, make sure not to fall too hard. Enjoy the view!

Tips for More Conscious and Innovative Body Language

Successful innovation is fascinating as it combines the best of intelligent thought with expressing it in a way that emotionally "moves" others into action. This combination is often a challenge as many gifted, technical innovators prefer to focus on ideas, software and gadgets more than on people. The sales and marketing types like focusing on the customer more than on the mechanics of what they are selling. Very few seem to balance or handle both equally well. Yet for those who do, for instance: Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Larry Ellison, to name a successful few, the rewards can be very rich indeed.

I have had the privilege to work with many organizations in the IT and Telecommunications areas, regarding their leadership, sales and presentation skills. From that experience I can say that when technicians relax and get clear on the power and leverage available to consciously communicate using their body language, magic starts to happen.

I have noticed that for innovators, the most common wake up call comes when they get clear over how much information their bodies express, regardless of whether they are aware of it or not. All too often a brilliant idea never leaves the PowerPoint slide because its delivery either annoyed the listeners or put them to sleep. The content and delivery of your message must attract and inspire in order to reach the next step. You may have invented the perfect mouse trap, but if you cannot present it in a way that inspires and engages your listener, then who are you really talking to? For instance, an interesting thought to ponder is how the world would now look if Leonardo Da Vinci had inspired himself and others to actually construct some of his inventions while he was alive. Instead it took 500 years to realize most actually worked. Even though he seems to have been a student of self-expression (witness Mona Lisa's smile), could he practiced more of what he preached?

A critical skill for successful self-expression is more conscious use of our most important communication tool, our own body. Below are some simple tips.

Be Present. If you insist on remaining "up in your head" when speaking, count on leaving your listeners behind. Learn to serve them (and ultimately yourself) by dancing here and now with their questions and addressing their concerns. Your knowledge of your subject and how to deliver it will flourish when you put it in a way it can be heard, understood and acted upon. The key? Be Here, Now and serve!

Relax and be open. Can you catch more money and ideas in a tightly clenched fist or an open and relaxed palm? Stress shortens your life, calm lengthens it.

The choice is yours.

Feel more. The key to becoming more present is feeling. After all, when is the only time you can feel anything other than here and now? So, if you feel some butterflies in your stomach, a pain in the neck, sadness, anger, joy or even fear... Congratulations, you are still alive! Take a deep, joyous breath and begin focusing your intellect and energy on efficient delivery of your message.

Inspire. The word inspire comes from Latin and means to "breathe in spirit". To bring any innovation into existence you will need to inspire yourself and others into action. The easiest way to begin is to inhale more air. Notice what happens to the power and believability of you and your message. We are all essentially wind instruments. Just like a flute or tuba, the more air you use, the more power and feeling you can resonate towards your listener.

React less/Respond more. React means to "act again", respond means to "answer back". The first is an automatic process often triggered by an old, often forgotten behavior pattern. The second may start with the exact same stimulus, yet adding a bit of conscious reflection you can respectfully answer back in a way that moves your conversation and its possibility forward, towards your innovative goal.

Demonstrate Respect. As Aikido master Yoshigosaki suggests, "treat your listeners in a way which shows you, "understand that you have no understanding of who they are". What kind of response and support will you receive when you practice treating others with all the wonder and curiosity of a small child?

Could this enhanced level of respect inspire the insight and finance to further your cause?

Appreciate all contributions. You may think that what was said was the dumbest thing you ever heard, especially with its reference to your brilliant innovation. Yet, what if that is the best response the speaker could currently muster? What if he/she is looking for your support and guidance to understand your message enough to write you a big check?

The more you practice and embody these body language fundamentals, the more you will be able to express, implement and even monetize your great ideas

How to Manifest Your Wealth - Your Wish Is Your Command

We are making decisions all the time. From the most trivial to the life changing, we all need to decide what to say, how to behave and how to respond to the people and situations that cross our path. Ultimately, our decisions determine what we attract into our lives.

How do you make these decisions? What do you base your decision-making on? For many, it is something external, such as a religious belief system. Most people, however - even those with strong religious beliefs - make decisions based on those around them. When we are still very young, we learned that the approval of our parents was vital for getting what we wanted and, as we got older, our education system reinforced the idea that the approval of other people is important. We were taught that 'making a good impression' and presenting ourselves well in front of others is the key to a successful life.

The sad thing is that we never get over this, and it often turns into a real problem. How other people perceive us becomes so important that our behavior is completely dominated by worrying about what we look like to others. In effect, we are letting other people 'pull our strings.' We allow ourselves to become puppets, dancing to the changing tune of other people's beliefs and moods.

Our tendency to let other people pull our strings means, however, that we lose touch with our connection to what could be called our 'higher self' or our 'inner wisdom.' I believe that we are all connected the same source - we all come from the same place, and a connection to this 'life source' is essential to getting life to work for us. We cannot be in the driving seat unless we are in touch with our source or, if you prefer, our inner guide.

Being in touch with source doesn't mean meditating for hours each day. It isn't esoteric, but it does require a shift in our mentality. Instead of looking outward, to other people, for our guidance, we need to look inward.

... we are all connected the same source - we all come from the same place, and a connection to this 'life source' is essential to getting life to work for us.

It may be hard for us to trust ourselves - maybe we've been told for decades that making decisions without reference to the outside world is selfish or even dangerous. I've even heard someone say that without an external code of conduct such as a religious belief system, she would lie, cheat, steal and do all sorts of other wicked things! I think it is very sad when someone loses sight of his own inner guidance to such an extent, but it is not uncommon.

Regaining a connection to our source, or 'inner wisdom' isn't hard, but it takes a little time and gentle persistence. Try spending a few moments each day, perhaps before you go to sleep, speaking to your inner guide. Share yourself with your guide; share your problems and concerns; ask him or her any questions you have. Over time, your connection to this inner guide will become stronger - you'll get to know who s/he is. Your inner wisdom will, if listened to, become a great friend and will enable you to make good choices.

I guess the Law of Attraction needs no introduction! I'm sure you've heard about it, and maybe you've seen 'The Secret.' Let me clear - I think that a lot of the movies, the books and the products you are bombarded with on the Internet are of little value - hyped up, slick, well marketed and packaged, with one purpose - to relieve you of your money.

But that doesn't mean there's nothing in it at all. Far from it. I was reading about the so called 'Law of Attraction' for many years before 'The Secret,' and I stared using some of the stuff that's now so over-hyped in my own life. Let's go through the basic ideas. This comes from Ester Hicks, the author of a number of books on this subject which I do think are worthwhile.

'Nothing merely shows up in your experience. You attract it - all of it. No exceptions.'

But how do we 'attract' these things? Abraham explains that it's all to do with thought: 'You get what you think about; whether you want it or not.'

Ester goes on to explain that there is a foolproof way you can tell whether what you're thinking about is something you want to experience or not. This is simply the way you feel.

The Story Behind Complaining

Complaints. Complaints, complaining, complained. Now, if you're wondering why I've written the word 'complain' so many times in different ways then that's just because I'm trying to prove a point. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Oh no! She's going to start complaining about people who complain! Quickly exit this page!"

Well, don't worry. I'm not here to nag you about how complaining is wrong and how it's 'not nice' and everything, because sadly, I too complain about things a lot as well, even though I'm trying to consciously stop it. Most of us do complain, whether it's for the good or bad it doesn't matter. But for some reason we've all been programmed to do so.

There are some who are told never to complain. That doesn't really help, either. You see when someone tries not to do something, they are actually suppressing the need to say how they feel which isn't exactly a good thing. A thought that isn't said out loud is kind of like a seed being planted in the dark. It would eventually grow into a tree which bears fruits. In the case of suppressing thoughts and opinions you would one day find that the thoughts you have once kept in the dark exploding inside of you.

But if you bring a seed into the light it loses the ability to grow and thus you will eventually learn to manage the thoughts you once suppressed.

Complaints actually can help people improve. But in that case you aren't really complaining. You're actually giving feedback to someone in hopes that they can improve on themselves and you wouldn't want to actually find any faults in them. Instead you genuinely want to help them find ways to make themselves better.

The difference is when we complain about something because we are finding faults in it. When we are just finding faults in people and in the situations that we come across, we are basically just finding faults in ourselves. Ever heard the saying 'The world is just a reflection of you'? Well, believe it or not, it's actually true!

You see whenever you think, say or do something, you send out powerful vibrations that attract to you the environment around you. If that sounded too science-y, to put it in simple words, anything that happens around you is because of you!

So when you are complaining about something, do remember that you are the one that put yourself into that mess in the first place. Without your thoughts, words and actions the annoying situation in front of you would not be able to take place!

The annoying friend you have? That's because of you!

Your teacher/boss/parent that keeps nagging at you? That's because of you too!

The cat that pooped on your lawn that's always causing trouble around your neighborhood? Guess what? It's also because of your thoughts!

So, how do you stop this? First things first. Try to consciously take effort not to complain about the things that go wrong to your friends, instead try countering it by counting your blessings and feeling grateful for the things that went right in your day.

Slowly, as you regain conscious control of your thoughts, you will find that you are more likely to see the brighter side of things whenever situations occur in which you would usually feel the need to complain about.

Start slowly... but just don't forget to start. So, Good Luck! And I'll see you at the brighter side.

How To Believe In What You Want To Attract

If you’re going to use the Law of Attraction as an effective tool, one of the most important things that you need to do is truly believe that you can obtain the things you want in life. Whether you’re longing for an ideal partner, a great job or a fit physique, know that you can meet your goals. Entertaining doubts or negative ideas merely inhibits your ability to get the things you deserve. If you find it difficult to really believe in what you want to attract, use these five steps to cultivate a different mindset.

1. Replace Negative With Positive

Each time you notice you’re feeling down or worrying that you will never meet your goals, reject this thought and replace it with an analogous positive thought. For example, firmly tell yourself that you are well on your way to finding the love of your life, that you know you can achieve your career aims, or that you will be happy again after your divorce. As you get used to replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, the process will gradually get easier.

2. Live Like You Have What You Want
Living like you already have that ideal partner, dream job or overflowing bank account can enhance your ability to manifest your goals. Although you might feel self-conscious or awkward at first, this exercise will begin to feel truly powerful if you do something like browse online for things you’ll afford when you’re more prosperous or buy a card that is addressed to your future spouse. Proponents of the Law of Attraction sometimes call this approach “living in the knowingness” and it is a lifestyle infused with positivity and confidence that can help to make you a more dynamic, magnetic person.

3. Read Success Stories
There are dozens of success stories revealing how people all across the globe used the Law of Attraction as a tool in transforming their lives. Reading these stories will connect you with the reality that learning how to use the Law of Attraction really can make an enormous difference to your happiness and satisfaction, helping you to get rid of lingering doubts about

4. Say and Write Affirmations

You probably already know that affirmations are a key part of using the Law of Attraction, but you may not have considered that they can be used to actually strengthen your belief in what you want to attract. For example, you might say “I know my soul mate is out there looking for me” as you look at yourself in the mirror, or you could say “Everything I did today is leading me towards a better life” before you go to bed at night. Repeatedly writing affirmations can make them even more effective, as can placing them on large pieces of paper that can be seen when you’re getting ready in the morning. Any message that connects you to the truth of your future happiness can be a valuable and powerful way of increasing the Law of Attraction’s pull.

5. Boost Your Confidence

Often, it is low self-esteem that underlies difficulties believing in what you want to attract. While difficult life experiences and painful memories of early life can make it hard to feel good about yourself, taking a positive perspective on your own worth is essential for using the Law of Attraction. Firstly, think about why you struggle with confidence issues, and dismiss the underlying assumptions that you discover. For example, you might remember being told you were unattractive when you were bullied at high school, but you can counteract this by focusing on the many times you have been complimented or asked on dates in adult life. Secondly, nurture the parts of yourself that make you most proud. Whether you’re physically capable, creatively talented or a great listener, hone these skills and make them central parts of your life. The more your confidence increases in response to consistently good results, the easier it will be for you to believe that you genuinely deserve the things you’re attempting to use the Law of Attraction to obtain.

How to Attract the Things We Want

Have you ever wondered why the things you wish for simply don't come true? Have you wished for a better job or to meet Mr. or Mrs. Right, but instead you are still stuck with a job you are not very happy with and every guy or female you meet turns out to be far from what you wanted? Does this sound familiar? One possible explanation for this problem could be that your mind-set is getting in the way of you getting the things you want in just the way you want them. The mind is a very powerful tool that can either push or guide us to become successful or hold us back.
The Law of Belief
The Law of Belief is best explained by the following: "What we believe becomes reality." Once we change the way we think about how we act and the world around us, we can change our reality and also our own performance. The Law of Belief is the key to happiness and success. Once we truly believe that we can become successful and accomplish what we want or have anything we want, we will have it in just that way. But if we don't truly believe, then we hold ourselves back and don't achieve what we want to achieve.
How many times have you wanted something, but it simply did not happen for you? It is our limiting beliefs that keep us from getting the things we want in just the way we want them. You may want to have something or have it in a certain way, but deep down you don't truly believe that you can attain it.
Henry Ford once said: "Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right."
In order for the Law of Belief to be effective, you must first know exactly what it is that you want in exactly the way you want it. Once you have a crystal-clear picture of what you want and truly believe that you can and will have it in just that way, you will slowly but surely manifest the things you truly want. But you must believe!
Many who try to apply the Law of Belief fail or give up too soon because just like everything else in life things take time to happen. If you don't continually reinforce your beliefs, you might end up giving up too soon. Being consistent and maintaining focus on your goals is possibly the greatest challenge you have to face. You have to maintain your faith and belief that things will change and that you will accomplish what you have set out to do even though setbacks and roadblocks are trying to prevent you from accomplishing your goals. The path to success and happiness is not always easy, but even obstacles can be seen as something positive because we can learn from our setbacks, and they allow us to grow as a person. If you look back and think about all the obstacles you have had to face throughout your life, were they all truly bad, or did you learn from them, and did they help you make better choices the next time you faced the same obstacle? Such obstacles make us who we are today. They help us grow as a person, and they guide us to make better decisions later in life. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that no matter what we have to go through in life, we all have a choice to continue moving forward or giving up at the first sign of trouble. If we choose to give up, we can never hope to reach our goals, but once we learn to persevere, we eventually create the reality we truly deserve.
In order to make the Law of Belief work in your favor, you must begin to believe. You must clearly understand what it is that you want to achieve and then decide what you have to do to accomplish your goals. You need to get into the habit of acting as if you had already accomplished these goals.
Our behavior influences our beliefs, and it helps manifest our desire, and all personal breakthroughs begin with a change in beliefs.

Staying Focused in the Face of Negativity

The Law of Attraction states that whatever you focus on is what you will attract into your life. This is why it’s essential to stay focused on your goals.
Unfortunately, many people find it difficult to maintain focus in today’s world, where we’re bombarded by negative messages from the media, co-workers, friends, relatives and even clients.
The good news is that you can take action to shield yourself from motivation-sapping, fear-instilling negativity. This article shares 5 easy ways to get started.

Tip #1: Accept 100% Responsibility

The most critical principle to master if you want to create greater success is to accept 100 percent responsibility for your life – including the type and amount of negativity to which you allow yourself to be exposed.
Your job is to take care of yourself. This includes creating environments that are conducive to success. Take note of how negativity manifests in your life, and then consider ways that you can reduce your exposure.
For instance, do you watch or read the news every day? Try abstaining, and trust that if anything major happens, such as a natural disaster, someone will tell you. At that point, you can choose to read an article or two to bring yourself up to date.
Do you have well-meaning relatives who urge you not to follow your dreams because they fear the consequences of the risks you’ll take to achieve your goals? You may want to limit the time you spend with these individuals.
Alternatively, recognize their advice for what it is: an expression of their love and concern for you. The simple truth is that many people are blind to their limiting beliefs and how it colors their view of the world. Simply thank these well-meaning individuals for caring enough about you to share their thoughts, then turn your attention back to your goals.

 Tip #2: Release Negative Feelings

To attract what you want in life, you must live in a state of love, joy and gratitude. Negative environments stir up feelings of fear, anxiety and doubt, which must be released so that you can return to a higher state of feeling and vibration.
The Sedona Method, created by Hale Dwoskin, offers a fast and effective solution to the need to release negative feelings.
Start by tuning in to the feeling that is disturbing you. Really feel the emotion – welcome it and let it flood your body.
Then ask yourself, “Could I let it [the feeling] go?” Both “yes” and “no” are acceptable answers.
Next, ask, “Would I let it go?” If your answer is “no,” ask whether you would rather have this feeling or would you rather be free.
Finally, ask, “When?” This is an invitation to let the feeling go now. You can make the decision to release a feeling anytime you want. Repeat the entire process as often as needed until you feel free of that particular feeling.
Most people either wallow in their negative emotions or they try to resist experiencing negative feelings. Neither approach works. Use the Sedona Method to allow your emotions to flow through you, so that you can return to a positive state.

Tip #3: The Evening Review

Whatever you read, see, listen to, talk about and experience during the last 45 minutes of your evening has a huge influence on your sleep and your next day. During the night, your unconscious mind replays and processes this late-night input up to six times more often than anything else you experienced during the day. Use the following process to focus your unconscious mind.
Sit with your eyes closed, breathing deeply. Ask your mind to show you where you could have been more effective, more conscious, more loving, more assertive, or more of any other characteristic you want to focus on. (Note: review only one characteristic at a time).
You’ll see that a number of events from the day will come to mind. Observe them without any self-criticism. Then take each incident and replay in it in your mind the way you would have preferred to have done it. This will help you form the desired behavior the next time you face the same situation.

Tip #4: The Daily Success Focus Journal

Another way to stay focused on your goals and on the positive is to create a Daily Success Focus Journal.
Each evening, identify 5 accomplishments you made throughout the day. Next, identify why each accomplishment is important to you. Then, identify how you can make further progress in the same area. Finally, write down a specific action step that will lead to this progress and enter the to-do item into your schedule.

Tip #5: Create Your Ideal Day

Before you leave work or go to bed, take a few minutes to plan your schedule for the following day. Doing so sets you up for success, as you’ll be able to get right to work as soon as you begin your day.
After planning your schedule, take a few additional minutes to visualize your day going exactly as you want it. See yourself performing at your best in every situation you will encounter. This gives your subconscious all night to work on creating ways to make it all happen just as you visualized it.
Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what else is happening. They choose to concentrate on their success, rather than their failures, and on the next action steps they need to take. Use the tips outlined in this article to stay positive and proactive as you create your ideal life.
