To Some, Half a Story Is Better Than the Whole Truth

If you are to realize true happiness, you must be wiling to accept the world in which you live and your role in the happenings of your life. Interestingly, people have an uncanny ability to rewrite history so it better fits their own personal reference frame. Some have the ability to rationalize the events in a particular event's sequence and reconstitute these happenings to the outcome that best fits their personal reference of what was perceived to happen or what (innately,) the individual wanted to happen.

This approach is in diametric opposition of Article I of the Constitution of Intention. The liar will often promote a false story of historical proportions in order to protect the idea, belief, or reputation that this individual has worked to manufacture for him or herself. In further violation of the article, to share only half of a story's facts fails to fulfill the personal aim of honorable existence and promotes a false assumption of character and conduct. To violate Article I is a direct violation of fostering public and personal trust. The liar goes around this article by simply leaving out portions of the narrative or history in order to shore up the lie. As a direct result of the liar's omission, the story now appears to have purpose and merit. Simple. Easy. Expertly crafted. Now, the story is no longer a lie; that is, in the point of the view of the liar.

Regardless of the omission of the facts, it is still a lie. A half story does not promote validity. It only works to shore up a lie by burying the true happenings of other details under a mountain of handpicked reasonable and believable facts. Never discount that the remaining facts may also be imperceptions of reality and therefore, deepens the severity of lie by warping facts that surround an event and repacking those "facts" as lie. Never underestimate the aims of a liar. Consider this perspective as an additional mind-scrambler: what if (subconsciously) the liar was working to promote or towards a self-defeating outcome? What if this person not only omitted the facts that support the counter arguments, but also reinvented the history of the remaining facts to undermine and destroy the intended outcome in is entirety? It sounds unbelievable, I know. Unfortunately, you will find that some individuals just like to, "watch the world burn." Deep within the sick psyche' of someone who wants to be at the epicenter of attention, the liar works to dismantle the world around him or her. This person's subconscious is deviant, working to disrupt or destroy good things so that others may not experience happiness; misery often enjoys company.

The liar never owns his or her own bad behaviors nor assumes personal responsibility. Therefore, it is in this character flaw that he or she must leave out certain parts of a story and backwardly re-engineer the circumstances in order to blame and /or place greater fault on another party or parties, thereby reconciling the liar's bad behavior or misconduct and giving that misconduct meaning, purpose and validity. Again, this is a direct violation of honorable conduct amongst people.

In these cases, he or she who is unwilling or incapable of accepting his or her own personal faults or role in an action, or would rather believe his or her own half of the story in order to reconcile this Cognitive Dissonance, is surely living in a false and conceived reality of imagination. This conduct also earns a charge for violating Article VIII - Humility rooted Existence. It is always honorable to own one's behaviors and stand to be corrected.

In order to greater understand the liar's lack of citing all sides of an argument, we must define and discuss dissonance for just a moment.

Cognitive Dissonance is the feeling of uncomfortable tension that comes from holding two conflicting thoughts in the mind at the same time. These uncomfortable feelings come from having to deal with the happenings of reality and how it conflicts with our own personal perception of the events when such events contradict our beliefs, values, ethics, or own ability to recognize our own personal inequities.

Dissonance increases with:

• The importance of the subject to us

• How strongly the dissonant thoughts conflict with each other

• Our inability to rationalize and explain away the conflict

Dissonance is often strong when we believe something about ourselves and then do something against that belief. The discomfort often feels like a tension between the two opposing thoughts. To release the tension we can take one of three actions:

• Change our behavior

• Justify our behavior by changing the conflicting cognition

• Justify our behavior by adding new cognitions

Dissonance is most powerful when it is about our personal self-image, how we see ourselves in the world, and how others see us. Having worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years, I can palpate feelings of insecurity and poor self-perception in the statements, suggestive actions, and conduct of people. Often, I can identify these feelings in people through casual conversation. Such discussions outline changing habits and behaviors that promote feelings of good health and wellbeing. Simply negating one's belief systems regarding fitness, exercise and eating can be construed as a personal attack. In most cases of people with whom I meet and just below the surface in places that the person fears to go, one can identify those who are victims of their own dissonance. Typically, people who are easily shaken and are personally uncomfortable regarding their feelings and moral compass in decision-making often identify with this dissonance but do not discuss it or such conflict resolutions easily.

Dissonance increases with the importance and impact of the decision, along with the difficulty of reversing it. Discomfort about making the wrong choice of taking one's side in an argument is clearly bigger than choosing a pair of pants that day. Thus, when a decision gives way to a myriad of internalized personal conflicts, the likelihood of one's dissonance increases exponentially and directly disproportional to the person's rational mindedness, emotional stability, and ability to reason reality versus fantasy.

Some people see events NOT as they occurred but more as they believe they occurred. This belief is so tightly bound in the person's own personal perception and reinforced through one's own dissonance, that any fact or point of view that conflicts with this perspective is simply vanquished as mistruth, lies, exaggerations, or a manipulation of a circumstance's happenings. The person would rather believe his or her own story versus allowing another story to overwrite the former.

Therefore, to some, half of the story is better than the whole truth:

• A liar's inability to recognize his or her own personal faults makes this person feel better about his or her waged transgressions against others.

• The simple-minded accept a liar and the reputation the liar has worked to engineer. Believing stories that invalidate a liar's arguments exposes personal weaknesses in the follower and may give rise to a contentious challenge with the liar. Therefore, a follower who does not aim to argue for or support the truth must also live with his or her own character flaws for accepting disgraceful conduct.

• The listener / follower of the liar falsely believes that he or she is absolved of the sin for supporting the half-truths of a liar in the name of "loyalty."

If you want to be truly happy:

• You must be willing to listen to all of the facts that surround a series of events. You will need to find the strength within yourself to listen to those things that you would rather not hear or prefer not to believe about this person that you may call, "a friend," and accept the entire library of facts that surround an event or circumstance. The truth is liberating.

• Emotional feelings cloud our judgment and prevent us from allowing all details to be evaluated and weighed equally. Leave your emotions at the door so you can better evaluate every fact and conclude what is the case, not that which you would like it to be.

• If you seek to live in a world of that is truly untethered from the invalid, you must eradicate the negative, undermining people from your life who wield illogical, immoral, unethical or selfish tendencies. To be truly happy, you must allow the whole story to be told and not judge any of the accused until you have collected the entire library of facts.

• Accept all of the positives and all of the negatives of a story to be told. Your mind knows the difference even if you do not wish to accept it.

• Accept what is true and do not parse ideas within a story that will help you to sleep better at night. What is... is. The sooner you accept what is true, the sooner your brain will resign itself to dealing with accepting what sometimes cannot be believed.

People wield an uncanny ability to decide what they BELIEVE is true. All of the rest of the story has no meaning.

Speak Your Truth When It Scares You Because It Is The One True Measure Of Your Authenticity

Why bother speaking the truth in a world full of fake news? Because truth is the only measure of our authenticity expressed through our soul. To deny expressing it means hiding our authentic self behind a veil of falsehoods. Reflect on the times when you spoke your truth even if it hurt those you love. How did you feel? Did you notice a weight lifted off your shoulder, especially if you held back communicating something of importance? I have been in this situation many times where I thought speaking my truth would fall on deaf ears. I believed they would not receive it in the way I intended and so I held back.

Sometimes people are not ready to hear the truth and, although they listen, they're only hearing what they want to hear. Do you get this impression? It can be difficult because your truth and my truth differs, and this causes conflict between two people, even amongst family members. I often laugh when someone begins a sentence by saying: "Do you want to know the truth?" What I'm really hearing is: "I'm about to tell you something which you'll disagree with but here it is anyway." The truth is subjective to our life's experience, beliefs, values and opinions. It is why I am drawn to the passage by the author of Toltec wisdom Don Miguel Ruiz who writes in The Three Questions: How to Discover and Master the Power Within You of the enduring nature of the truth in our lives: "Life is truth, and it doesn't need to be understood. Truth doesn't need proof, or even faith, to survive. And it doesn't need our stories. Truth existed before stories before humanity; and truth will continue after all the storytellers are gone. We don't need a thought or a theory to show us the truth. Truth can be felt in our loving and in our enduring passion to live."

We mustn't withhold speaking our truth for fear it will upset others. If the truth is spoken from the heart and not the egoic mind, hopefully the other person will consider it with an open mind and heart. In an age of fake news, the truth is more important than ever. More people need to speak their truth from the heart for that is how we practice authentic communication. The heart is the seat of the soul and if aligned with our highest intent, it becomes a measure of connecting through a soulful presence. Is this something you're willing to practice? Even though your voice will tremble when you speak the truth, it will be worth it coming from the heart. I have experienced holding back speaking my truth in front of audiences due to limiting thoughts: "How will people receive what I have to say?" "What if I disappoint them?" Nevertheless, I've come to appreciate how others receive me is not within my control. I can only communicate from my heart and remove any sense of fear, anger or hate and allow my words to come forth with love.

Our truth is the language of the soul and carries strength in its meaning and significance. I'm reminded of the biblical phrase: "The truth will set you free" which underscores how withholding our truth can destroy us. Communicating from the heart will lead to our greatest salvation and the freedom that accompanies it. As you read this, reflect on a situation now calling you to speak from the heart yet you may be afraid to do so. I trust by the end of the article you will have gained a sense of what action you need to take. I hope you choose your words wisely and listen to the whisper of your heart speaking in the song of love, not anger, nor hate or fear.

If we communicate through weakening emotions, we must turn our attention to ourselves to see where we are at war with. What part of us is calling to be nurtured? Because that is the part we most need to love. In doing so, the words we bring forth will arise from a place of spirited love and we needn't worry whether speaking our truth will offend others. For when two people come together in this spirit of love, the language communicated is easily understood by their hearts without an agenda.

10 Reasons Why Honesty Is Important to Be Successful

You want the people with whom you come into contact to accurately think of you as being an honest person. Anything less is unacceptable if you want to be successful in all aspects of your life.

If you are dishonest everyone with whom you come into contact (friends, relatives, employers and others) will ignore or dismiss everything you say and do as being false and unreliable. Who can build and achieve what they want with such a character flaw? The answer is obvious.

Following is a brief list of reasons why honesty, as a character trait, is so important:

1. You would be considered untrustworthy and your chances of getting the job you want is severely limited if you are dishonest. Employers can't afford to hire people who are less than honest. Employees who are found to be deceitful are destined to be fired.

2. Many times, untruthfulness or dishonesty is unlawful. Lying could land you in jail or facing fines. The same is true when applying for a loan, reporting sales tax or supplying information for a loan.

3. Being known as a person who misrepresents the truth is a perception that is hard to reverse. Trustworthy behavior on the part of an individual is highly valued by our society.

4. Your potential to achieve success in all aspects of your life is severely limited if dishonesty is part of your character. You would limit your opportunities. Others would maintain their distance from you.

5. Being less than honest can and will be hurtful to others and cause great pain to loved ones. Your personal relationships would be either harmed or destroyed.

6. Others are inclined to describe or recommend you as a dependable individual who can be trusted when you are consistently authentic. Your words carry greater weight, as you are known to be a person who tells the truth. Your chances of advancement and credibility are enhanced.

7. Being deceitful with others naturally lowers your self-esteem and requires energy for you to maintain the false appearance of authenticity. Some people suggest that promoting falsehoods could actually be harmful to your physical and emotional health.

8. You will suffer a lack of respect from a poor reputation. Others will avoid contact with you personally and professionally.

9. Your chances of being able to improve your life (financially and socially) will be severely limited. People who are known for misrepresenting facts and being disingenuous are avoided.

10. Your bearing false witness is harmful to society in general. A misleading behavior by an individual can actually have far reaching ripple effects on society.

Any aspirations you might have are hampered by a lack of honesty.

Choosing to cultivate honesty as one of your characters traits is a necessity if you want to be successful in life. So is your reputation and emotional well being.

Many people go through life wondering why circumstances fail to break their way. Frequently it's his or her character flaw, such as lying, or limits a chance for success.

How to Deal With Passive-Aggressive People?

woman in plaid blouse and blue denim jacket

The trouble with passive-aggression is that both the giver and the receiver often have no idea what's really going on. In other words, the person who's passive-aggressive (P-A) may know he hates conflict, may know he's feeling a little angry and may know he's covering it up. But he doesn't register how rancorous he really feels.

The person who's the object of the P-A's anger may never know what hit him because the rancor is well disguised. Consequently these incidents go largely unacknowledged for what they really are-hostility.

If you love a passive-aggressive person, you are probably making excuses for him on a regular basis. "Oh he can't help procrastinating, he's got so much on his plate." In truth, he procrastinates finishing the job you need to make you suffer. He never wanted to do it in the first place. Or, you defend his disturbing joke with something like this: "He's such a kidder." Really, the joke was not funny at all. Instead, it was thinly veiled hostility.

Identify hostile behavior.

There's that word again. Hostility. Once you realize the root of your loved one's passive-aggressive behavior is hostility, you can begin to deal with the problem. The first thing to do is stop making excuses for him. After all, he's really behaved in a hostile way toward you. And you've probably let him have his way without calling him on it. Perhaps for years. Now is the time to acknowledge that while the hostility is not overt, it's there, and maybe even more damaging than obvious anger. So what can you do?

Tell him the truth and consequences.

When a P-A is late and causes you to wait, or procrastinates, and puts your project in jeopardy, don't let him get away with it. Be open and honest enough to let him know that he's inconvenienced you. Repeatedly. Let him know that if he does this again you won't wait for him. Let him know that if he procrastinates you'll get someone else to partner with on your project. And then follow through and do it.

Call him on his dishonesty.

If your passive-aggressive mate tells you he supports your efforts to diet, and then fills the fridge with ice cream and cookies, you know one thing. He actually does not support your diet. Actions speak louder than words, and in this case, the P-A is not telling you the truth when he speaks. He is sabotaging you. You need to tell him so in an assertive and respectful way. You may not be able to change his behavior, but at least you have brought the issue out into the open.

When you confront a P-A with the truth about his behavior, you may also point out that it's often just as detrimental to him as it is to you. When he expresses his anger in an unhealthy way, sometimes it causes even more conflict-the one thing passive-aggressives find so difficult to tolerate. When he sweeps an unpleasant issue under the rug, it really doesn't hide the problem-it only prolongs it. Being straightforward with him about his behavior can help you both.

The Thirteen-Minute Article (It Took Me Ten Minutes To Write, Three To Edit) (By Joshua Clayton)

Grayscale Photography of Person Holding Pen

This article will take me ten minutes to write, but a lifetime to apply for us all! With that said, I will start typing the body of the article from here. Think about it, we all take actions. We must take profitable actions in every moment we can, though. In existence and life (in that order), we either take actions that are beneficial to us or not. The best actions are the most profitable, and the worst actions genuinely waste the most time.

Anything that lifts our lives and realities to higher levels is good, except when we cheat at it. What I mean by cheating is taking irrational short cuts, whatever they may be. Whether it is basic lying to ourselves at a very deep level or "getting away with it in the eyes of other people, but not our own"; reality has a way of working with us making sure we pay what we need to pay or get our just reward for whatever we do. Indeed, at every genuine level it really is an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Think about this fact for a moment and you shall see, I can hope I am wrong with "everyone else", but I know that I am on point with those facts: There are not any genuine free lunches or tricks we can play to get something for nothing, but somewhere we pay and benefit to the measure we give or take genuinely.

Dealing with reality seems like dealing with nickels, dimes and pennies of energies, does it not? Well, it is. Those who do not cheat genuinely get rich from this way of dealing with things. Those who do cheat have to pay sometime whether they "know" or "do not know" what the price is. In thought and reality, the honest person is right, and the dishonest person is wrong. Indeed, though, who wants to admit that basic fact, especially where "larceny" is involved.

I know, this is a scary, hairy article for those that keep the truth and honest reality submerged, but for those that are close to understanding, I say keep going and you will get it. If anything, I encourage you with my freak like, consciously realistic and honest self.

Yesterday, before I wrote this article, I felt so overwhelmed that I felt like cheating in a very small, but large way, but I did not. So, I end with this: I put this article under "goal setting" to say, make it a goal to be honest with yourself. You may regret it short term, but you will not regret it long term. I can honestly promise.

Negative Emotions and Understanding The Moment

Woman Leaning on White Wall Near Window

Most negative emotions, such as a depressing thought, internal conflict, arguments, feeling hopeless, etc. all these things are due to a lack of understanding.

You may think you understand, and that is why you see a thing as hopeless or negative or the other person as wrong, but you must fight your opinions and remember that it is because you do not understand it fully. No matter how clear and simple it may seem, the truth is, ironically, a lack of truth.

Here we define truth as full and complete knowledge of the event, situation or thing. The three levels of certainty are very important to consider; knowledge, vision and truth of certainty.

Knowledge is when you think you know a thing because you know something about it, but it does not take much to remember something you thought you understood and later found out you had no idea about the reality of it.

Vision is a level deeper than knowledge, but still lacks true depth. For example, you may see a car and know that it moves around and transports you. If you only look at the body and seats, but do not learn about the engine or petrol, in time it will stop working and you will not be able to fix it and get it to go again.

Truth is to know something intimately, how it works, what is its purpose, how it can be used or handled in a way that it flourishes. Truth is objective, which means it is what it is, not what you want it to be.

If you get depressed, sad, angry, hopeless, lost, or any emotion that in a way paralyzes you, or even just makes you feel blah, that is because you do not fully understand the situation.

If you think you do understand, then you do not really understand your own mind and human nature. Thus the first step to understanding anything in life is to understand the apparatus behind your ability to understand.

The Tower of Babel is not just that we do not understand each other, often we are babbling to ourselves. There are many hidden meanings in ancient stories which often go missed, especially the stories that tell us why we miss things.

The ego personality is a complex thing and always wants to think it knows everything, so that a person can feel strong and confident because they are intelligent and understand things. But it is this very need to know that prevents us from deeply knowing anything at all. The result is we live imagining that we understand when we do not, and that is what is behind making wrong decisions.

Our mistakes in life can be put in a simple analogy. You have to disarm a bomb. There are two wires, a green one and a brown one. Those happen to be two colors that are commonly confused by people with mild colorblindness. They tell you to cut the brown wire. You think you know which is brown because you have ignored your color blindness, and you blow up yourself and everyone around you.

If you take every negative feeling you have and see the cause being your color blindness, and look for the very fine, tiny print on the wire that says which color it is, you may find life progresses much better with far less negative emotions. The first thing is to know that the answer is printed there somewhere, and be willing to look for it and read.

Perception, Truth and Reality

Woman Using Vr Goggles

The virtual world has its own dimension subject to the perception of an individual's feelings, thinking and imagination. It is a fact that perception is deceptive, in a sense, that it is part reality and not the whole truth. It is a reality within its own concept because of what is perceived is yet again a reality of thought, feeling and deductions. However, it differs in many aspects from total reality. Those who perceived are not wrong until reality exposes by itself or exposed by any other means.

It is established beyond doubt that to achieve reality and truth, human beings should intend to thrive for a goal in life which revolves around righteous path. German philosopher Immanuel Kant believed that there was a supreme principle of morality, and he referred to it as 'The Categorical Imperative'; It has two forms:

  1. Behave in such a way that a reasonable generalization of your action to a universal rule will lead to a benefit to a generic person under this universal rule.
  2. Always treat others as ends and not the means.

A categorical imperative, although, denotes an absolute, unconditional requirement that must be obeyed in all circumstances and is justified as an end in itself. It is best known in its first formulation:

His argument substantiates his principle of morality and existence after death. He devised an argument from morality based on practical reason. Kant argued that the goal of humanity is to achieve perfect happiness and virtue (the summum bonum) and believed that an afterlife must exist for this to be possible, and that God must exist to provide this. He has substantiated unequivocally in his work that there is an existence beyond this materialistic world. It also proves that existence is meaningful provided it is based on morality, reality and truth.

Those who have not understood his theories, or those do not subscribe to his research and work experience, take a detour in the direction which satisfy their intentions. It is not necessary that they should either prove themselves right or they remained attached to their stubbornness and arrogance.

An English writer and philosopher Aldous Huxley say there are things known and there are things unknown, in between are the doors of perception. Thus, perception which depends upon feelings and partial reality is guided by the fact that there are a reality and truth which substantiate the perception. It then exposes many vistas of truth and reality, thereby leading to 'The Categorical Imperative.' It will lead to absolute and a firm believe that existence has an end, it means there is a transformation from this realm into another. In other words, paving the way to metaphysical realm, which again proves the Absolute Reality of God.

There is a difference between reality and truth too. It is defined that in physics term, reality is the totality of the universe known and unknown. The reality alone is unique in its existence, but indirectly needs truth to withstand among doubts and confusion. The reality and truth are interdependent of each other to substantiate facts and phenomenon within its meaning and context. One cannot eliminate reality and truth from each other to substantiate perception. Therefore, it becomes an eternal triangle within this limited sense to reveal and substantiate a fact.

People must exercise caution when exploring the words and their meanings. A person can read is a reality, but he never read is a truth. Since he never reads (at least in front of others) does not mean that he is an illiterate. Although it sounds ambiguous to others, yet it is a reality. Hence the perception, truth and reality are existing in a realm of virtuosity and absolute factuality. We must dive deep into the subject within and outside the context to comprehend absolute truth and total reality. At this stage the perception becomes a reality and truth leading human beings to achieve dizzy height of success and total satisfaction.

Truth Doesn't Have Versions

The sky is falling - the sky is falling. The earth is flat. We are all going to die in this storm. The end of life as we know it will happen this year. Give me a break. Just because the speed limit is 70 MPH - I don't have to go that fast. Just because the expiration date on my eggs is three days past doesn't mean I have to throw them away. Made my point yet or would you like twenty-five more examples (just kidding)?

Yes, I accept that some things I don't like or agree with are true but I also know that some things you believe are true are not - so - does the wind blow in both directions? Well yes. So, why then can't some people accept what is true when there is more than enough evidence and why do so many people live their lives in the realm of lies and obvious truths? I don't have 200 pages to deal with this so I'll do my best with just a few hundred words.

So, what is truth - truth is most often used to mean being in accord with fact or reality or fidelity to an original or standard. Truth may also often be used in modern contexts to refer to an idea of "truth to self," or authenticity. Need more? Want more? Truth - fact, veracity, certainty, actuality, reality. FYI - Truth isn't - opinion, impression, interpretation, estimation, judgment, belief, experience - Got this one too?

Therefore, I have three questions -

1) why do people act like their opinion etc. is the truth?

2) Why do people work so hard to convince others that their version of truth is the
only one or the only one that matters or the only one that you or I should believe?

3) How many facts (reality do we need) to know what is true or not true.

Is - gravity a truth?

Is - physical death a truth?

Is - the fact that change is constant a truth?

OR,

Is - the weather is crappy today a truth?

Is - the service in this establishment is really bad a truth?

Is - this "__________" (whatever) you believe a truth?

Is - this technology is really slow a truth?

Again - got it?

So, back to my questions.

Why do people act like their opinion etc. is the truth? Everything in life is a perception - the weather, time, health, food etc. In other words - This corn is too hot. No, it isn't! This movie is too long. Maybe yes and maybe no. That color is too dark. See where I'm going with this? Ever had an argument or disagreement with someone?

Sure, we all have. What caused it? Very simply - two different opinions coming face to face with each other - when only one could win but both were not necessarily true but you both believed that each of yours were true as far as the two of you were concerned. All conflict is the result of perceptual interpretation not based on truth and why - because truth does not have to be defended if it is real truth. When people can't let go of the need to justify opinions, attitudes, decisions, actions, feelings etc. that might be inconsistent with truth it is generally because of one of the following exists; the need for control, ego needs, arrogance, low self-esteem, insecurity or early conditioning that caused them to feel they need to get others approval in order to achieve self-acceptance and the way they do this is by being right.

Why do people work so hard to convince others that their version of truth is the only one or the only one that matters or the only one that you or I should believe or accept? A lot of this stems from the previous discussion but for clarity I will add a couple of other items. One is called projection. This is simply a refusal to accept a certain type of self-behavior and implying others of having the behavior that you have but refuse to acknowledge, admit or accept. In other words - "I am always late but can't admit it but I always blame you for being late whether you are or are not."

Another one is expanding on something or just making things up that aren't true. I want others to think I am successful so I create a self-story that over time I come to believe as true. Even if you know me well and know what I say about myself isn't true, I will still boast about these untruths as if they were true. Actually, you would be quite amazed at how many people have this behavior.

How many facts (reality do we need) to know what is true or not true.

Well, if you see a lose wire coming from a generator you might want to avoid it. If you see a red-hot grill you might not want to touch it. How many facts do you need to avoid these disasters? Probably just one. If you want to know if Heaven is for real you might need a few more facts. But here's the real issue when it comes to truth. Some things, many things might be or could be true, but we don't know it because we don't have enough information to make a decision. If this is true just because we lack evidence doesn't mean something is or isn't true. Think about it. For years people believed the earth was flat until what - someone figured out that it wasn't. But, many people continued to believe in this untruth because they lacked wisdom, knowledge or information. The same is true today. Could many things be untrue today that we just don't know are untrue but still believe they are? And the opposite. Could many things we believe are not true actually be true?

I'm done with my opinions - so what do you think about what you just read? Truth? Opinion? Blah, Blah, Blah?

Having Peace Of Mind In Daily Life And Inner Happiness Uncovered

Peace of mind and inner happiness is a principle that isn't tangible but definitely one that affects individuals.

It can impact your overall and psychological well-being.

Peace of mind in daily life and inner happiness can best be explained as the quiet light within you giving you a feeling like all is super well and great.

The Course in Miracles states that, "The quiet light in which the Holy Spirit dwells within you is merely perfect oneness, in which nothing is hidden and therefore nothing is fearful."

For the majority of people, inner happiness and peace of mind in daily life doesn't simply occur.

They have a curfew and they have to abide by it, so to speak. If they aren't in the house on time they need to call you before the curfew, the rule is that.

While this does not occur regularly, it does happen and we need to avoid it from occurring. You can, for example, go to bed with the peace of mind that your household is secure and safe as they sleep.

Many of us have too much internal conflict going on most of the time that prevents us from experiencing the truth of inner happiness and how to find peace within yourself.

We know we weren't best about something that occurred and it eats at us so deeply we can't seem to let go of it.

The Course in Miracles teaches that, "The search for truth is the honest searching out of everything that interferes with truth."

Remember as we had discussed in previous articles, we seem to get more of what we fight. But with truth it's always there for us.

Too many of us move about our day at the speed of light.

You have to alter your focus and stop this pattern of habits in order to find inner happiness.

This will help you to begin finding inner peace and help you to tackle the next day with a much better attitude, and, how to achieve peace and inner happiness.

With peace of mind you accept a principle that isn't really concrete however certainly one that impacts people.

Peace of mind in daily life lets you know that everything is safe, secure, and that you are doing just fine, and that you are already all that you can be.

Inner happiness doesn't simply take place, it's already in you, but it often just needs to be uncovered.

To uncovering peace and happiness!

6 Ways To Boost Happiness

Image result for happiness

People often wonder why happy people are so happy. Do they have special powers? Of course, not! However, they do have ways of mastering their own happiness. They spend time expressing gratitude, cultivating optimism, practicing kindness, nurturing loving relationships, committing to meaningful goals, savoring life's little pleasures, etc... But guess what?

Happiness is available to everyone. Help yourself to it! - Thich Nhat Hanh

We've listed 6 ways you can find your happiness!

1. Mind Your Business:

Yes, this may sound harsh. However, this is a key to happiness. Not allowing yourself to become consumed by others business. Helps you! The energy and time you spend wondering all the "What if's" You are creating negative spaces to dwell in. Instead of worrying or creating anxiety for yourself. Create peace and harmony by removing the discord from your life. Albert Einstein once said, "From discord find harmony". Here's his entire quote:

"Three Rules of Work: Out of clutter find simplicity; From discord find harmony; In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity."
- Albert Einstein

2. Seeking approval of others:

Oh my goodness! I can't begin to tell you how many people are affected by approval. No matter from whom you seek approval. You're always dancing with no audience. When you allow yourself to receive judgment for yourself from outside sources. You invite insecurities into your mind. Everyone has some type of insecurities, however, not everyone needs a judge to approve them. If this is you STOP IT! You are enough! You do not have to get approval to be you. Acceptance is key not approval.

3. Seeking happiness from others:

No one can make you happy but YOU! Happiness is a temporary emotion and it's constantly fleeting. You need more and more to stay happy. It is unfair and unrealistic to assign someone to your happiness. When you're forging for happiness you lose the essence of that happiness. Personally, I like finding joy. Joy is everlasting because it's not tied to an emotion. It's based on a sentimental meaning (family, friends, significant other, accomplishment, etc... ). Find your joy source? What's your joy source?

4. Not letting go of the past:

Wanna getaway? OK, this is not a SouthWest Airline commercial. However, it is a commercial for much-needed vacation from your past. Carrying about additional baggage does not bring good into your life. It does exactly the opposite! Just like airlines, you can only have one carry-on and one personal item. Everything else you will be assessed a fee. In life, extra baggage comes with an additional cost as well. But there's good news, it's called opt out! You can opt out of the baggage claim at any time. Letting go is very hard to do. Not moving forward is even harder. How to let go: Forgive him, her or them for their offenses. I tell people to use this sentence I learned years ago. First take a deep breathe then say, I forgive you for ______ and I forgive myself for allowing_________.

5. Negative environments:

OK, this is one of those return to sender situations. I'm always there to comfort any person hurting from a situation. However, I will not take up residency in negative spaces. Staying in negative spaces too long will result in you losing your happiness. I believe in emotional climate control. Just like climate change for the earth. There are outside forces working together with some intentionally and some unintentionally. You have to decide how long will you let your atmosphere be impacted by outside circumstances.

6. Taking on the truth:

This is the most important and trickiest of them all. Truth... it will set you free or make you run and hide. The intent of truth is for correction or bringing light into darkness. You know, truth uncovers lies. Lies we tell others but more importantly lies we tell ourselves. Some lies are fancy aka fantasy! Fantasy is a great and scary phenomenon. In many ways, it can protect you, however, an over exposure or prolong period of fantasy may cause damaging effects on the psyche, whoa it just got real! I've started a series on our Podcast about fantasy and loss. Believe it or not, people grieve a fantasy loss just like grieving a personal loss. You can actually go through stages of grief after a fantasy is lost. Having friends or close confidants that are truth tellers are a blessing. At times, it may not seem that way, when they give you honest feedback or constructive criticism. If they sting you by telling you the truth. Don't end the relationship! Teach them how to deliver truths to you in a non-threatening way. Then you both can Namaste together!

I hope these tools are helpful...

Until next time... Be Happy!

Don't Shy Away From The Truth

Truth always remains the same unaltered whatever the tricks one may take to conceal. Most of the people think they are smart when they play a double game of hide and seek to serve their selfish motives. Some dress gorgeously and smile elegantly, but sporting enmity and jealousy within.

In the modern world, illusions are respected more than the reality. A priest used to wear a flawless white gown for the church service, though he didn't bathe every day. Sometimes, he would give the sermon without wearing any garments beneath the gown. To understand the truth, some of the real life situations are presented hereunder.

Many people feel shy of their white hair and resort to dyeing it for enhancing the beauty and hiding the age. The repeated use of the dyestuff spoils the hair and leads to allergies and diseases. Some people try hair transplantation to hide their baldness. Lotions and creams are meant for the people who like to conceal their natural wrinkles and age.

A patient cannot expect the right cure from a doctor unless the former expresses his feelings and displays the symptoms correctly. If a person feels shy of showing the sexual organ, he cannot expect any treatment for his sufferings. A person with a hearing defect should not hesitate to ask others for speaking louder.

Shyness prevents many from seeking aid from others. In times of financial difficulties, some people feel embarrassed to express their problems, but end up in self-denial of the solution. If a student shies away from raising doubts for the fear of teasing by the classmates, he cannot learn thoroughly.

Many office goers give the false reasons for their absence to avoid the workload or the colleagues' poking their noses into the personal matters. An officer took permission to visit his ailing relative, but he actually went to a cinema. On the way back from office, an old man told his junior friend to wait a while so that the he can buy some medicine. Actually, the senior man bought a fairness cream to improvise his look.

The virtue of truth leads to simplicity, peace, and prosperity. When our life moves away from the path of the truth, we tend to waste the energy and time, besides losing our health and harmony. Lack of self-confidence is the main reason for the timidity of a man.

To speak out one's mind and act honestly requires a great deal of courage. Beauty lies not in the appearance but shows up through the behavior. Actually, continued shyness leads to an inferiority complex.

How To Make Anyone (And Everyone) Want You

There are some people who just have it. You know, that thing...
They illuminate a room. Eyes follow them. The spotlight naturally and effortlessly is drawn to them.
What's their secret? I know, and I'm going to tell you.
It's called soul.
People who embody soul are irresistible. Seriously irresistible. Like, I-can't-take-my-eyes-off-you irresistible. Uh huh, it's that good.
Soulful individuals are always being pursued. People flock to them. They look good, they feel good; they've got that thing
Guess what? You can have that thing, too. In fact, you already have it. You just have to tap in and let it shine. That's what this article is going to teach you to do.
Here are four easy steps to embody your soul and light up a room. Get ready to turn some heads.
1. Center.
The quality of being centered is strong and peaceful; assured and graceful; aligned and free.
It feels heavenly to be around centered people because these qualities are so desirable to us. They also aren't the norm.
We live in a fast-paced, frazzled world, so being a pillar of peace is an oasis in a very dry desert. If you flow with grace and ease, no doubt people will be drawn to flow with you.
So how do you do it?
Easy. You practice.
Whether it's meditation (focus on your breath), mindfulness (focus on the now), or just paying attention to what is happening in the present moment, these practices will lead you to embody a sense of calm and ease.
People will take note. It's a slight shift with a big impact. Train yourself to be here now and watch how others respond to your aura of grace.
2. Be grateful.
The reason gratitude is paramount in attracting others is because it aligns you with a state of abundance. Abundance overflows – it wants to share. When you're overflowing with good vibes, others will flock by your side.
Think about it. How does it feel to be around people who are grateful; people who are happy, free-spirited, and gracious? Pretty nice, right?
Gratitude overflows. It's light, joyful, and yummy. When you feel grateful, you become one with this delectable energy; it's an absolute people magnet!
Embody your soul by getting your gratitude on. Relish all the beautiful things you encounter during your day, feel it before you go to sleep, and be thankful whenever possible. This practice will greatly increase your personal magnetism, guaranteed.
3. Live your truth.
People with that thing have confidence. Not inflated confidence; not narcissism. It's a deep confidence. Faith.
They know what they want, and they know that they're going to get it. This type of unwavering conviction is extremely attractive to us because it's what we all want, too.
We all want to know. We all want to be certain. We all want to believe. Therefore, those who live in this manner are utterly irresistible to us.
When someone speaks with conviction, we listen. We may not like what they're saying, but we'll listen. Conviction draws a crowd.
Guess what? You have conviction, too. You may not be aware of it, but you do. It comes in the form of your intuition, your higher self, your truth.
There's a voice that lives inside you; it's not in your head, it's in your heart. When you listen to this voice you'll be guided in the direction you're supposed to go. And as life unfolds the way you want as a result of listening to this voice, you'll have found your truth.
There's nothing more captivating than a person on their path. Listen to what the real you has to say, then follow through. People will always be drawn to you as a result to being true to yourself.
4. LOVE.
Love. Just love.
Love your city. Love your home. Love your food. Love your dreams. Love your people. Love.
Love the things that are easy to love, and stretch to love the things that aren't.
When you love fearlessly, you beam. You're a light in the storm. You're a smile in the crowd. You're a breath of fresh air.
Love is that thing
Involve your heart in all that you do and people won't be able to take their eyes off you.
Make a commitment right now to embody your soul – to be the most irresistible version of you. Center, feel grateful, live your truth and love your heart out, and you will, without a shadow of a doubt, become a magnet to everyone who has the privilege of basking in your light.

6 Things Happy People Never Do

Happiness is not something you postpone for the future;
it is something you design into the present.

Happy people do a lot of things.  They spend time expressing gratitude, cultivating optimism, practicing kindness, nurturing loving relationships, committing to meaningful goals, savoring life’s little pleasures, and so on and so forth.

But they NEVER…

1.  Mind other people’s business.

Forget about what others are doing.  Stop looking at where they are and what they have.  Nobody is doing better than you because nobody can do better than you.  YOU are walking your own path.  Sometimes the reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes circumstances with everyone else’s public highlight reel.  We listen to the noise of the world, instead of ourselves.  So stop the comparisons!  Ignore the distractions.  Listen to your own inner voice.  Mind your own business.
Keep your best wishes and your biggest goals close to your heart and dedicate time to them every day.  Don’t be scared to walk alone, and don’t be scared to enjoy it.  Don’t let anyone’s ignorance, drama, or negativity stop you from being the best you can be.  Keep doing what you know in your heart is right, for YOU.  Because when you are focused on meaningful work and at peace within yourself, almost nothing can shake you.

2.  Seek validation of self-worth from others.

When you are content to simply be yourself, without comparing and competing to impress others, everyone worthwhile will respect you.  And even more importantly, you will respect yourself.
How are you letting others define you?  What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
Truth be told, no one has the right to judge you.  People may have heard your stories, and they may think they know you, but they can’t feel what you are going through; they aren’t living YOUR life.  So forget what they think and say about you.  Focus on how you feel about yourself, and keep walking the path that feels best under your feet.
Those who accept you are your friends.  Those who don’t are your teachers.  If someone calls you something and it’s true, it’s not your problem because it’s true.  If someone calls you something and it’s not true, it’s not your problem because it’s not true.  Either way, whatever they call you is not your problem.  What other people call you is their problem…
What you call yourself, and who you decide to become, is your problem.

3.  Rely on other people and external events for happiness.

Unhappiness lies in that gap between what we have now and what we think we need.  But the truth is, we don’t need to acquire anything more to be content with what we already have.  We don’t need anyone else’s permission to be happy.  Your life is magnificent not because someone says it is, or because you have acquired something new, but because you choose to see it as such.  Don’t let your happiness be held hostage.  It is always yours to choose, to live and experience.
As soon as you stop making everyone and everything else responsible for your happiness, the happier you’ll be.  If you’re unhappy now, it’s not someone else’s fault.  Take full responsibility for your own unhappiness, and you will instantly gain the ability to be happier.  Stop seeking in vain to arrange conditions that will make you happy.  Simply choose to appreciate the greatness that is yours in this moment, and the right conditions will start to line up around the contentment you seek.
The greater part of your happiness or unhappiness depends upon your outlook, and not upon our situation.  Even if things aren’t perfect right now, think of all the beauty still left around you.  A good reason to smile is always one thought away; choose to tap into it any time you like.

4.  Hold on to resentment.

Let today be the day you stop being haunted by the ghosts from your past.  What happened in the past is just one chapter in your story; don’t close the book, just turn the page.
We’ve all been hurt by our own decisions and by others, and while the pain of these experiences is normal, sometimes it lingers for too long.  Feelings of resentment urge us to relive the same pain over and over, and we have a hard time letting go.
Forgiveness is the remedy.  It allows you to focus on the future without combating the past.  To understand the infinite potential of everything going forward is to forgive everything already behind you.  Without forgiveness, wounds can never be healed and personal growth can never be achieved.  It doesn’t mean you’re erasing the past, or forgetting what happened.  It means you’re letting go of the resentment and pain, and instead choosing to learn from the incident and move on with your life.

5.  Spend prolonged periods of time in negative environments.

You can’t make positive choices for the rest of your life without an environment that makes those choices easy, natural, and enjoyable.  So protect your spirit and potential from contamination by limiting your time with negative people and the environments they inhabit.
When other people invite you to act like victims, when they whine and moan about the unfairness of life, for example, and ask you to agree, to offer condolences, and to participate in their grievances, WALK AWAY.  When you join in that game of negativity you always lose.
Even when you’re alone, create a positive mental space for yourself.  Make it a point to give up all the thoughts that make you feel bad, or even just a few of them that have been troubling you, and see how doing that changes your life.  You don’t need negative thoughts.  They are all lies.  They solve nothing.  All they have ever given you is a false self that suffers for no reason.

6.  Resist the truth.

It is a certain death trap when we spend our lives learning how to lie, because eventually these lies grow so strong in our minds that we become bad at seeing, telling and living our own truth.  Lives come apart so easily when they have been held together with lies.  If you resist the truth, you will live a lie every day as the truth haunts your thoughts every night.  You simply can’t get away from your truth by moving dishonestly from one place to the next.
So don’t bend; don’t water it down; don’t try to hide the truth with deception; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion of what’s popular.  It is better to offer no explanation or excuse than a false one.  It takes courage and strength to admit the truth, but it is the only way to truly live.  Accept what is, embrace it fully, and live for the possibilities that lie ahead.
