Whatever You Focus on Will Be Your Experience

* * * * *
If you're not sure what you're focusing on, ask yourself, "What am I experiencing?"

We experience what we focus on very quickly today.

The vibrational frequencies that are accelerating our Spiritual Ascension are so high and so fast that everything truly is happening faster than ever before.

So whatever you focus on is showing up in your life much faster than ever before.

This means you can change what you're experiencing faster, too.

But first... you have to make some new choices, right?
* * * * *
We all make choices about what we want to experience. Sometimes we make them Consciously. Most of the time we make them UNconsciously.

We decide we don't like what we're experiencing, so we often blame someone or something else for that experience.
When we blame someone or
something else for our experience,
we're experiencing UNconsciously.

I'm not talking about the world situation.

I'm talking about what's in your personal experience right now.

When you don't like what you're experiencing in your personal life, in a relationship, in your job, in school, with your friends and family, then it's time to ask yourself,

"What have I been focusing on that created this experience?
"What belief or feeling do I have that attracted this into my life?

"What do I want to experience instead?

"How can I change my focus to create that experience?

Simply speaking, you have to begin by taking full responsibility for everything you experience.
When you do that, are you ready to make choices Consciously.

Remember...
You create every detail of your experience with your Consciousness.

Whatever you focus on will be your experience.
So if you focus on lower density emotions, such as fear, anger, jealousy, and sadness, you experience those emotions and they color how you experience whatever is going on around you.

I'm not saying not to feel your feelings.
I am saying to choose how to focus your attention.

Not only do you experience the emotions. You also experience whatever evoked those emotions from within you.

If you focus on the pain and trauma of an earlier conflict in your life, you'll be living that experience over, and over, and over, and over. You'll be missing all the possible joy available in the present moment.

There are ways to free yourself from the past. You can CHOOSE to find what you need to let it all go!

The decision is yours. You can remain stuck in the past until it becomes unbearable, and for some people, that's their path... to be in pain and suffering until they can't stand it any more... and then they decide to change and make Conscious choices.

The sun may be shining, the sky may be blue, you may have many beautiful things and people around you, yet you'll be in a dark place - you may not even notice these things when you abdicate your power to choose.
* * * * *
The power to CHOOSE is the power to CHANGE.

We've been programmed to stay in darkness.

We've been programmed to give away our power.
I'm not telling you anything new

I'm reminding you of the truth about who you are, a Soul created in the image of the Divine Self, with all the powers and gifts, and the free will to use them... or not.

We forget so easily the truth of our existence. Why do we forget?

We are distracted... because we allow ourselves to be distracted.

We are distracted... because we have a habit of being distracted.

We are distracted... because we focus outside ourselves instead of going within and centering ourselves.

We are distracted... because we're afraid of taking responsibility for every detail of our lives.

We live in a matrix of old programming that exists in our DNA.

Yup - your DNA has been programmed with the frequencies of limiting beliefs and low vibration emotions.

Remember the Truth of who you are...
I AM Consciousness.
I have the power to break free!

How do you break free?
You begin by making a choice to break free.

Then, you step back and observe yourself.

You watch yourself and notice whatever has your attention.

Yes, that's right.

Notice what is attracting your attention.

Notice what feelings it evokes in you.

Notice how it makes you forget your power to choose what you want to experience.

Notice what beliefs - what messages - you hear in your head!

Then...

You make a new choice!
You can do it!

You can choose to feel something else.

How?

BEGIN by OPENING your heart center.

Check to make sure your heart is all the way open.

Open the front heart chakra.

Open the back heart chakra.

Take a deep breathe in.

Breathe in the Love through your heart center
so the Love flows up and back between your two heart chakras.

  • Say to your I Am Presence:
"I choose to become a Conscious Creator of my Experience.
"I choose to feel unconditional love in this situation."

"I choose to feel gratitude in this situation."

"I choose to feel appreciation in this situation."

"I see/feel the Love and the Light all around me."

"I Am the Love."

"I Am the Light."
When you say these things, your vibrational frequency goes UP!
When you say these things, your energy goes UP!

When you say these things, your creativity goes UP!

Feel the glow of Divine Light and the power of Divine Love flowing inside you.

As you focus on the Light and the Love, notice what happens INside you.

Notice what happens OUTside you!

You do have a choice.
Change your focus, change what you experience.

Whatever you focus on will be your experience!

How to Create Lemonade When Given Lemons

In this day, there are many ways life could knock you off and pull you down. In every case, it is possible to make lemonade when given sour lemons. In other words, in every way, the bitterness of life could be converted to a coveted sweetness. Only you have power over your life's lemons.

Here are a few alternative ways you could use that power over your life:

  1. Create a comedy out of every adverse situation and laugh
Play a comedy out of every bitter situation several times in your mind until it makes you laugh. When you laugh, do so wholeheartedly. It is the perfect lemonade for your life's lemons.

      2. Change your thought quickly

Think and focus on something else sitting where you are. Your mind is a great asset to give you solutions to life's challenges any time you like. But you have to stop pondering about the problem in hand and change and direct your thoughts to pleasant things before you are ready to take on the challenge.

      3.  Focus on doing something else

Instead of the problem looking big to you, avoid concentrating on it and force yourself to do something more enjoyable and relaxing so that after you have made lemonade, the lemons no longer taste sour to you.

      4. Surrender yourself to a bigger cause

Dedicate your life to something bigger by first starting to volunteer in your community, for instance to something bigger by saving your community or even your nation by learning karate or getting trained in the army, for instance.

      5. Switch to the problem solving mode of your creative mind

When faced with a problem, think of possibilities in creative ways. For instance, if you are in a massive debt, instead of despairing, come up with possibilities thinking creatively. Ask your parents for help. Ask your friends if they would lend a little. Think of your savings - could you use a little portion? Think of knocking online on that millionaire friend of yours and asking for a few tips. The ideal creative solution would be to help yourself by working on a side income and paying off your debts in little amounts while looking for a full-time satisfying job.
Summing up, the above are a few ways you could make lemonade out of toxic lemons and make your life much better to live, bringing in prolonged joy, mojo and vitality of life.

Getting Into "the Zone"

Being in "The Zone" implies increased focus and attention which allow for higher levels of performance. It often includes a feeling where you appear to be seeing things in slow motion. Others describe it as forgetting themselves and being completely immersed in what they are doing.

Most people have experienced being in "The Zone" at some point in their lives. It can happen in all areas of life, not just in athletics. Surgeons, actors, salespeople, janitors, gamers and many others have all experienced this feeling.

There are many books and articles that have been written on how to get into "The Zone," and although I find most of them interesting, I also find them to be counter-productive. You will also find many books and articles on how to "Fall in Love," but they share the same problem in my humble opinion. Being in "The Zone" and "Falling in Love" are feelings you experience when certain things are in alignment. They are not a skill or trade that can be taught.

So, you may be asking yourself: If it is something that can't be taught and all those books and articles are counter-productive, why am I still writing about getting into "The Zone?" This is a great question.

The answer is that, even though I cannot teach you how to get into "The Zone," I do have a few suggestions that will likely increase your odds of finding yourself in it more often. It's all about controlling the things that are within your control.

Firstly, do not think about or try to be in "The Zone." My problem with the books and articles that purport being able to help you find "The Zone" or "Love" is that looking for either almost guarantees you will not find them. All of my clients strive to perform in "The Zone" but I have NEVER seen or heard about anyone who stated that they wanted to be or were going to be in "The Zone," who experienced it on that day.

You don't find "The Zone" or "Love" they find you. The first rule about getting into "The Zone" is: We don't ever think about "The Zone!"

Secondly, work diligently on your craft, as the more prepared you are, the more likely "The Zone" will find you. I can guarantee that if you do not take the necessary steps and put in the work to develop your skills, "The Zone" will not find you.

Finally, you have to prepare so well that you have complete trust in yourself and your preparation.

That's it, forget "The Zone" exists, prepare like you care, and trust your preparation and yourself. These three steps will assure that it finds you on as many occasions as possible. Make all three your habits and you may be that rare person who "The Zone" finds on a regular basis.

Applying Your Power in Everyday Magic

When you take control of your focus, you apply your power and move energy through everyday magic. That's Magic Alchemy Manifestation at its most basic level of application. When you move energy, you create change. You are blessed with free-will, which you can use to consciously design the life you desire. An everyday magic tip you can use to help shape your manifestation and energy to focus on expecting more good to come into your life no matter what. Building a high degree of enjoyment energy and not only motivation but desire energy will help you stay grounded in yourself and your own happiness.

Use your concentration and begin to direct the show. Stand in your power. Thoughts cloak themselves in emotions, but first comes the power of your thought. Recognize the habitual patterns of thoughts that affect your feelings. We can be whatever we want, we just have to decide. You are what you are today because of the choices you made over many yesterdays. Tomorrow you will be what you are creating today. Emphasize the good in Y.O.U. and others.

Think about positive qualities and they will grow. This is a secret of happiness: accept that you have to continually improve your way of thinking and feeling. Always and forever more, when you feel bad, reach for the better feeling.

Shift consciousness from one feeling to another. enjoyment energy comes from the degree of pleasure you experience from seeing, hearing, doing, feeling and imagining what you like. The level of excitement is a measure of the level of energy that feeds your expectation of more good. A decent metaphor would be that of turning yourself into a powerful magnet for good. Enjoyment energy is a straight line of Divine Design Shine. It is the most direct route to happiness.

You choose what you emphasize. Consciously make degree shifts along the pole of contrast toward the positive perception. Improve the quality of your experience. You no longer permit circumstances to dictate how you feel. Attitude is everything; it is your state of mind and feeling. How you look at the world dictates your attitude.

Your attitude dictates your circumstances. It is not what happens to you but how you see it that counts. Is your attitude helping you or hurting you? Along with the focus and energy aspects of this way, you must go beyond adaptability into recognizing the good, seeking the good, and even finding a way to create the good out of everything that happens. In this way, therefore, bad things never happen. Things may happen that you don't like, but when they do you use them as an opportunity to increase the good, in yourself or in the world.

All Misfortune Is A Stepping Stone To Fortune

No matter how many setbacks you encounter in life, just consider them as part of your stepping stone to your fortune. You will realize how fulfilling it can be when you focus your mindset on the positive things that life brings instead of the problems.

People who were able to make a difference in the lives of others have legacies that last for a lifetime. They won't become what and who they were if not because of the hardships and struggles that they encountered in life. They rose from failure to failure before they succeed.

Failure can in fact be an impetus to success if we use it to our advantage. When we welcome trials as something to be learned from, we become our best version. Though it is not easy and it really stings but if we look at it in a different light, we are not wasting our valuable time because overcoming one misfortune to another will make us stronger and more determined.

Sometimes, we feel impatient for the wasted time we spent on something but oftentimes there is always better out there waiting to be discovered and explored. We can't change what happened in our lives but definitely the way we react to those circumstances impact on what will happen next in our lives.

We cannot decide the time and place of our misfortunes. These happen when we least expect them like an unexpected guest who comes to our home surprisingly. We can do nothing about it but accept and embrace it as part of life. Who knows, it might offer us a good fortune.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. Instead of whining, we better move forward and do something to turn it into a good fortune. Misfortunes can only become stepping-stones to success when we welcome them with enthusiasm and hope in our heart. When we don't complain, there is a chance for us to understand why something needs to happen. By doing so, we are able to handle our misfortune better than we expected.

When are able to grasp the lessons that misfortunes offer, it can help us become more conscious of our life. Living with awareness is a vital step to seeing misfortunes differently. When we don't blame others for our bad luck or fate; we realized that the rest will follow. Blaming others for our circumstance won't help us grow; the very reason why misfortune keeps on repeating one after another.

The disappointments that we overcome prepare us to adjust to whatever misfortune we will encounter in the future.

How to Turn Life's Lemons Into Lemonade

This article is a shift in terms of focus. Although relevant for the fields of business development and growth, the theme of this article is on personal development before business development.

I've always been a huge fan of sales gurus and personal growth experts like Zig Ziglar, Earl Nightingale, Norman Vincent Peale, Dale Carnegie, etc. While initially thinking these guys were full of 'it' and irrelevant; now, with time and experience having matured me to a reasonable level (I hope), I've come to not only attest to truths that these guys and others live by and teach, but also their beliefs and wisdom are very relevant and timeless.

One of the core truths taught and deeply ingrained into my subconscious is the following: failures in life will either strengthen and motivate you to grow and develop or they have the very real ability to break you down.

What do I mean when I say failures in life? Well, quite simply, these are the moments in our lives that the results and outcomes come totally different and often more severe than we had anticipated. Whether it's a job loss, divorce, eviction, bankruptcy, failed job interview, a blown investment, or being defrauded by someone, we all face these challenges at one time in life or another.

The key that I've learned about these negative life events is that you have A CHOICE in how you respond. The thing that keeps most of us in 'ruts' of negativity, isolation, and hopelessness is that we allow ourselves to be motivated by fear in a wrong way. Rather than thinking about how worse and severe a negative life event can become, why not choose to be motivated by the fear of the situation to take hold of hope. Choose to take a strong hold of hope and never let go no matter how bad it hurts or feels.

Now here's another underlying truth in being motivated by the fear of negative life events: don't labor your mind or put a heavy burden on yourself for solving your problems overnight; instead, relax, rest, and remain positive. What I've learned and continue to grow in is that more than likely the answer needed to resolve the problem(s) is right under your nose or floating somewhere in your mind. How do these 'uh huh' moments happen? Truly in the most odd ways possible to be completely honest. There's no secret formula (or at least one that I've found that works) or secret sauce that induces these moments, but here's one way to put yourself in the state of mind to increasing their frequency: relax, live life, serve others well, listen more than you speak, forgive completely, and love sincerely.

How to Work With Demotivation (When You Just Don't Want To... )

We all face situations in life we don't like. There are always those projects or tasks that just have to be done that we'd rather not do. There are always going to be times when we have to work with demotivation.

Part of maturity and taking responsibility for our lives is doing the things that need to be done, and doing them well whether or not we're in the mood.

Here are some strategies you can use that may help you to deal with those kinds of activities you'd rather not have to:

1. Get really clear on the project or task you need to complete

2. Completely relax your body from head to toe (take a few minutes to do this), focusing on the point just below your navel. This is known as your lower Dantien, a point of focus, balance and inner strength. Concentrating on this point helps you feel more centred, more solid and more grounded.

3. From this place of focus, fully accept that the project or task needs to be done and that it will be dealt with either by you or someone else.

4. Establish/list what aspects of the task or project put you off

5. Take each hindrance and find a way around it, eg:

· Task is too big (can you make it smaller?)

· I can't do it on my own (can you get help? Who from?)

· It's dirty, grimy (can you view this as a character-building exercise?)

· I don't understand it/don't have the right training (can you get the right training or support?)

· It's too boring (can you find a way to make it more fun?)

6. Create space for the completion of the project or task. Decide when you are going to finish the project/task. Be aware that you may not finish it by the exact end date you put on it, but the fact you now have a timeframe can help to galvanise you and motivate you go get busy.

Establishing timeframes can, however, be a double-edged sword. Whereas a well estimated timeframe can do wonders to get you moving, a badly estimated one can not only add to your general stress levels, but also deflate you if the bigger part of you is convinced you'll never be able to meet it.

The trick is to get good, with practice, at setting timeframes for yourself for whatever you do on a daily basis. How long do you need to prepare dinner? How long do you need to drive to work and back? How quickly can you get this report completed? How long do you expect to take to get the car fixed?

By beginning to put timeframes on the things you do every day, you'll begin to get a better feel for your pace and, more importantly your style of working when demotivation begins to set in. With time, it then becomes easier to gauge just how long important projects and activities will take you and you'll be better able to communicate this to those around you.

If it's not your timeframe but someone else's, aim to complete your task or project before the end of theirs. Essentially you're setting a timeframe within a timeframe. If it is getting close to the end date try your best to finish it by that date. If this really is not possible, ask for a reasonable but definite extension - e.g. an extra seven days, an extra 14 days, an extra hour etc.

Ensure you will definitely complete the activity by the end of that extension period, as requesting a second postponement may begin to cast doubt on your self-belief in your own eyes, and your credibility in the eyes of those around you.

Adopting these strategies when you don't feel like doing something you know needs to be completed, you'll begin to see significant and positive shifts in how you work with demotivation.

When You're on Overload, You Still Have Options

Overload.

Do you ever have one of those days when you can't see even a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel?

You know what I mean. One of those days when your to-do list is overflowing and your phone is ringing and you are overwhelmed and discouraged. You feel like you're swimming upstream and you can barely keep your head above water.

I hit one of those times recently. Had I been able to tack on another four hours at the end of my day, I still wouldn't have come close to "getting it all done."

When I hit times like that, here's what I do...

Overload Doesn't Have to Own You
I take heart and I remind myself that I still have choices.

I picture myself standing at an emotional crossroad. Right there, I place myself at a power point, because I get to decide what direction I'll take next.

So, place yourself there with me now.

If you give in to feeling overwhelmed, you can easily sabotage your good efforts. Maybe you'll succumb to procrastination. Or perhaps with your energy dwindling, you'll lose focus and give in to debilitating worry. And, of course, self-criticism is always lurking and ready to jump in, too.

As an alternative to those self-defeating choices, I often suggest that people look at their values, the urgency of tasks, and who will be affected if tasks are not completed. Armed with that information, you then begin to prioritize.

There is yet another way...

A third option for when you're feeling overwhelmed is to simply tell yourself "I'll never get it all done."

Honest, self-nurturing relief.

The first time I said those words to myself in a factual (not a self-pitying) way it had an immediate, positive effect. I was accepting my limits and giving myself permission to stop trying to do the impossible. Getting my feet back on the ground, relaxing my shoulders, taking a breath, I let go. I returned to my tasks unburdened.

How does this resonate in your life?

What things have you found helpful when you are on overload?

Let's explore time together...

Zentangle - The Art of Untangling a Tangled Mind

"Are you stressed all the time?"

"Do you need to let out your stress and relax?"

"Is there a need to improve hand/eye coordination?"

All of these and much more can be done through the Zentangle method. The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. This method can be used by anyone who knows how to write their name. It helps increase focus and creativity and provides artistic satisfaction with an increased sense of personal well-being.

Zentangling is a formalized process that was created by Rick Roberts and Mary Thomas. It is a specific way to draw images, most often in black pen on white paper. The traditional practice of Zentangling is done on 3 1/2" inch square tiles made of special paper, but it can be done on any paper cut into squares or can be done on larger paper as well. The process of Zentangling may look very intricate but it is a very simple pathway to relaxation and focus. It is also called doodling with a purpose. Practitioners of this art form have given several benefits including calming an anxious mind, increasing self-confidence and creating moment to moment awareness in a similar way as mindfulness meditation.

How to create a Zentangle?

To create a Zentangle you begin with a pencilled frame and then draw a "string" through the frame to divide the box into sections. In each section you draw a repetitive pattern, called a "tangle." The meditation comes both in the rhythmic drawing and in reflecting on your work afterward. Some of the characteristics of the Zentangle method are: Deliberate Stroke: In the Zentangle way, each stroke is done consciously and deliberately. When we draw each stroke deliberately, we realized that how these insignificant strokes contribute to an overall pattern.

Deliberate Focus: When deliberate strokes are being made, the attention is on the stroke and not on the final product that will be made. So this leads to increased focus on the strokes being made and not thinking about what the final pattern will look like.

Unknown Outcomes: The Zentangle method allows each person to discover new possibilities that is not anticipated when we begin with the art.

Abstract: A Zentangle creation is meant to be non-representative with no up or down. Since it is not a picture of something, creators need not be worried about whether they can draw a hand or a duck. It is just the different strokes that form a pattern and finally an abstract picture.

No Eraser: There is no eraser in life and there is no eraser in a Zentangle kit. However, in creating Zentangle art, one discovers that the apparent mistakes made can be foundations to new patterns and take one to unknown and new directions.

Gratitude: Gratitude is the foundation of zentangle art. Whether it is appreciating the texture of these wonderful paper tiles, becoming aware of the patterned beauty around us or thankful for the opportunity to put pen to paper, we always return to gratitude.

Inspirational: The Zentangle Method's non-verbal language of patterns and proportions can open doors to insights which seemed locked before. Creating in a Zentangle way opens those doors, not because they were locked, but because those doors swing on non-verbal hinges. When you create in a Zentangle way you can enter a state of relaxed focus in which intuitive insights flow freely.

Ceremonial: Like in the Japanese tea ceremony, when zentangle art is being created, the person creates a personal environment of peace and harmony.

Portable: A Zentangle tile is 3 1/2 inches (89 mm) square. A Zentangle tile is designed to be completed in one sitting. A tile can be finished in as little as 15 minutes. Once the tile is completed, a sense of accomplishment occurs and more tiles can be completed in less time.

BENEFITS OF THE ZENTANGLE METHOD:

Zentangle Method is being used by many people for different objectives. Some of the benefits that people have experienced by practicing this method are:
• Relaxation
• Simple and quick access to mindfulness
• Non-verbal journaling
• Insomnia (improved sleep by creating Zentangle art before sleep)
• Self - Esteem
• Inspiration
• Panic attacks
• Modify Behaviour
• Being part of supportive community
• Nurture and develop creative abilities
• Relieve stress
• Improve hand/eye coordination
• Develop/rehabilitate fine motor skills
• Team building and group focus
• Therapy
• Anger management
• Addiction therapy tool
• Diet aide
• Increase attention span and ability to concentrate
• Home schooling
• Brainstorming
• Problem solving
• Design Inspiration
• Stretching and warm up for artists.

Personal Experience of practicing Zentangle art:

My personal zentangle story began in 2015 when a surgery to my ankle had me on bed rest for 6 weeks. As they say "an idle mind is a devil's workshop", the bed rest and immovability had my mind getting unwanted thoughts that needed to be put to rest. Since I was immovable and could not do much, I started exploring the internet for something that I could do while I am on bed rest. That's when I chanced upon the Zentangle art. I first started reading about it and was intrigued to try it. So one step at a time, I started trying out tangles from the internet and felt very relaxed when doing it. I became so involved with this art form and realized that even a day without doing the art made me feel like I was missing out on something. Though I was out of bed rest and working along with taking care of my family, I did not stop doing the art as it gave me peace and helped me relax and have some time for myself. On further research, I found out that only certified teachers can teach the art. So I started looking out for a certified teacher and took a class with her after one year of practicing the art form. The class was a huge learning for me on the nuances of doing the art. It helped me better understand the art form and what benefits it can provide to me.

Practicing the art has helped me in the following ways:
• Relax my mind
• Anger management
• Reduce mental stress
• Live in the moment
• Not think about what has happened or worry about the future.

Life Lessons From the Wild Boars

Not long ago, the world waited with bated breath while watching the rescue of 12 boys, members of the Wild Boars soccer team, and their coach, who were caught in a flooded subterranean cave deep under the mountains of Chang Rai, Thailand. We witnessed the extraordinary worldwide commitment to their safe return to their families as rescue workers from different nationalities, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds dedicated their time, effort and means, once even at the expense of their own lives to the task at hand. Nothing mattered other than saving these children.

We see this kind of selfless devotion to the lives of others over and over again, during many times of crises, all over the globe. And once the crisis has past, we sigh with relief and turn our attention back to our ordinary lives.

But here's the thing. If we so choose, we can infuse our ordinary lives with some of the heroism and dedication that absorbed our minds and hearts over the Thailand boys and their rescuers. We all face stressful challenges in our day-to-day lives (not as stressful as what those children and their parents went through, but stressful nonetheless). Instead of giving up, we can step up, and be the very best of ourselves in situations that cause us unhappiness, anger, grief or despair.

How?

1. Adopt a more compassionate response toward others and ourselves.

None of the rescuers spent time or energy on the fact that they were in no way related to the Thai boys, that there would be no profit in it for them, that they had no obligation to help. The rescuers, regardless of background or belief, simply worked together toward a common goal.

You're having problems at work? Or with your family? With your health? Appreciate a basic truth: everyone is simply doing the best they can with what they've got from where they are. Including you. Once you accept that, you can then forgive yourself and others for whatever pickle you/they are in, and seek to understand the situation. Understanding what's going on from everyone's point of view is what lets you effectively deal with the situation.

2. Skip right past blame and finger pointing.

The rescue workers in Thailand didn't waste time debating whose fault the crisis was, or insist that so-and-so be blamed and raked over the coals. They just pitched in and did what needed to be done. In other words, they got on with the solution.

Nothing good comes out of blame or finger pointing. It's a giant waste of your creativity and mental capacity. Ditch it. Whatever your specific situation, aim yourself firmly in the direction of problem-solving and have at it. Just like the rescue workers, you'll be much more likely to succeed.

We are all capable of far more than we think we are. It takes focus, a willingness to leave our egos aside, and engage our mighty selves (yes, you are mighty!) in doing what is necessary to resolve whatever the issue may be. It really doesn't matter whether your personal crisis is small (your baby is crying - again!) or large (a dreaded diagnosis), a compassionate response, dumping blame and finger pointing and concentrating on finding a solution will serve you exceedingly well.

Do You Ever Switch Off?

So much of our lives are ruled by time, with school, work, appointments, transport connections all needing to be turned up promptly for. Even when we're looking forward to something like a run, a swim, a game of golf we may well be competing with others or trying to improve on our personal best.

It's good sometimes to be highly motivated to improve, or feel invigorated to push ourselves to beat someone else, but it's also important to notice if we ever switch off and at times ensure that we do. Think about slowing down, maybe changing down a gear at times.

Let's look at some important ways to switch off.

- Notice when your 'amber lights' start to flash. Just like traffic lights, red means stop, green means go and amber means slow down, proceed with caution, get ready to stop. Amber lights become noticeable when you're doing too much, are becoming stressed and overloaded.

Everyone has their own personal warning signs of stress. Yours may be when your sleeping patterns are affected, you're smoking or drinking more, your good humour has evaporated, your perspective has become more gloomy. Those niggles, irritations and mood changes alert us to the need to switch off and take a break. We need to take some 'me time', so intercepting that red light before it appears and causes everything to stop. Switch off for a while and return to a healthy 'green for go' state.

- Did you know that 19 million days of annual leave remain untaken in the UK each year? And that figure doesn't include the sole traders, small businesses and self-employed who regularly forgo holidays, feel they're too busy to switch off and take a holiday for fear of missing out on sales, business opportunities or out of concern at being unavailable and disappointing their clients.

But switching off for a time gives your mind a break and you'll often find that when you do return to work you're feeling refreshed, recharged and excited to be back. You may even have had time to reflect on your business and come up with stimulating new insights and ideas.

- Start that big task, the one that you've perhaps been dreading or avoiding. By being proactive and starting work on it you stop it from constantly playing on your mind, so preventing you from switching off. It may help to break it into parts; what you can do today, what you can't proceed with until you've had a response, those areas where you need someone else's help and expertise. Note what you've set into motion and then switch off until you're next in a position to continue.

- Do activities for their own sake. Not everything has to have a purpose or point to it. Clear time for painting, craft work, walking, even pottering about or people-watching in the shopping mall over coffee. Value the fun, satisfaction and therapeutic benefits they bring into your life.

- Spend an hour or so becoming immersed in reading a book, listening to music, tending your garden, watching a show. Remind yourself how lovely it is to switch off from the day's demands. Really focus on what you're doing so that you become oblivious to external distractions.

- Live in the moment. Appreciate the view, the weather, the scenery when you're taking a walk. Enjoy the coffee you're drinking or the food you're eating, value the company you're with. Give your full attention to whatever you're doing, the people you're with and find that your relationships improve as a consequence.

- Turn off your technology. Set aside specific times for checking online unless there's an emergency situation that needs regular monitoring. There are few things that can't want an hour or so and you may find that you become more time efficient when you fritter less in constant scanning of messages and updates.

- Designate a place as your oasis or haven, where you can go to truly switch off. For many their bedroom is their place of peace and calm. Include personal touches with your choice of fabrics, colours, decor. If you need a workstation in your bedroom, screen it off at the end of each working day.

- Wind down before bed, so giving your sleep and sleep quality the significance they deserve. Avoid that deep and meaningful conversation before bed. Save it for another more appropriate time. Take a bath, a relaxing shower and wash away the day's cares and stresses. If you have a tough mental job maybe enjoy some yoga or a leisurely walk before bed so that you're able to wind down gradually.

Treat switching off as important and you'll find that you manage your stress levels more effectively, often achieving a better work/life balance and a happier, healthier quality of life.

Focus on Your Focus

You must be clear on how you want to live your life. In business, you focus on a model you want to create and see yourself growing it into a type of income that you want to develop.

You must get the big picture of your life for yourself, or someone else will create one for you. Which means you need be clear on what that life looks like.

When people first start out online, the most common reason is to get out of debt. Once you realize what's possible, you will make your goals bigger and bigger, like make enough money to help out family or friends.

When you reach a goal, you usually celebrate the victory and want to make more. At some point, money won't motivate you to keep going. You think you can automate everything and take it easy.

What happens when you do that? You get lazy and that's when you fail.

You never see anyone talking about the bad times, just the opposite.

How does someone find the energy and passion to stay motivated? You choose to do it and take the actions you need to in order to get results.

If you want to be successful, do not pursue something just because someone said it's what you should be doing.

Don't build a business someone tells you is right or chase an opportunity because it will make you a bunch of money.

When you define what you want, everything becomes clear on what you should do next.

Point being is to pick something you want and see it through until you make it successful. Then keep building to make it better and better.

So what I'm saying to you is to focus on your focus.

Pick a business model, determine your traffic source and hit the ground running.

The timing will never be right and you will, without a doubt, hit obstacles and have learning curves you will have to find solutions for.

If you stick with it and you're determined to reach your goal, nothing will stop you.

To make it work, you have to be willing to do whatever it takes and figure out the obstacles.

When you get clear on your vision, you will find products that help you get closer to your goal. You will do the things daily you need to move you one step closer to your goal and you will be excited to work on your business everyday.

The person who just keeps marching in one direction and makes tweaks to what they're doing when they hit obstacles will always out produce the person who keeps stopping and starting.

Passion Is The Fuel Human Beings Use

Children focus fiercely on everything they do while doing it. Nothing else exists. The world is just them and whatever it is that they are doing at that moment: the game they are playing, the movie they are watching, the toy they are holding... And with that focus comes passion, their inexhaustible source of energy. But then we grow...

As we grow, our attention is divided into a million needs and tasks. We rarely just do one single thing at a time and most of what we do doesn't even require our full attention. We learn to shift our focus from one problem to the next, from one action to the next or back to the previous one. We forget the art of just being totally immersed in only one task, in flow with it, unaware and uncaring about anything else. And as we do, our energy spreads to feed and fuel that myriad of smaller actions we undertake. No wonder why we never feel energetic enough anymore!

Passion is the fuel for human energy. We see it in children but also in those few adults who still maintain their passion for what they do. Have you ever met anybody truly passionate about something who complains of a lack of energy? Just the opposite, right? Those you meet who seem to never tire are profoundly passionate about what they do. Without passion, energy dwindles and it does so because passion requires focus so the three go together and feed one another: passion, focus, energy.

Many people come to me because they feel exhausted and without energy or because they can't perform at the level they see me or others performing. 'What's your secret?' they ask me. 'How can you have so much energy?' The answer is my passion. I passionately love what I do: I passionately love writing and speaking, interacting with other human beings, getting to know them... I passionately love being alive. When those people come to me, they never have a passion of their own and without it, there is no focus.

Think about it for a moment. Look back onto your childhood or just observe children at play. When playing, nothing else exists; just the game. Do you remember that feeling of utter concentration and devotion? That is what you're missing. You go to work but are you fully there? I bet you aren't. Or you only are for short bouts of time. That's why those who professionally devote themselves to their passion never look tired. Unfortunately, most human beings just have a job, not a passion. Most people just do their jobs or pursue their career not because it's a passion for them but for many other reasons. They might choose certain studies based on the greater probabilities to find a job later on, or the amount of money they will bring them, or who knows what. And that is OK, as long as they also realize that days will feel long and boring and will always be accompanied by that perennial feeling of exhaustion.

I feel like this is a rule of life: passion transforms into energy; a lack of passion results in a lack of energy. As simple as that. If you want to feel more energetic in life, you're going to have to change the way you live to find more passion or to create more opportunities to feel passionate about something.

Let me offer you some tips on how to turn a job into something you might feel passionate for. (You can also quit your current job and follow your passion, if you have one, of course, but this next section is for those who already have a job, no specific passion and can't just shift careers at present.) So, if you are a manager in a company, for example, and feel like working days completely drain you of your energy,

  1. ask yourself what in your job sparks your passion... Nothing? Very little? Why doesn't it surprise me? Let's try and create or ignite some passion in you, then.
  2. go over the list of tasks you perform on a regular week and try and find something in them that you could eventually feel passionate about; human interaction, reaching excellence, being the best at one aspect of your work, creativity, productivity... or maybe even reaching the next wrung in the ladder... whatever. Once you find it, start devoting your full attention to that goal on incremental steps: first 10 minutes a day, then 15, then 20, and so on. Those minutes need to be like children at play, absolutely focused and devoted. If distracted, go back to the task and focus on the positives it brings you. Think about what it is you enjoy about them, how they make you feel, what is is that interests you when performing them. Focus on them at the moment, not on what they might bring in the future.
  3. while performing other tasks that are not the ones you identified as possible sources of passion, try to focus your full attention on each of them while carrying them out; a bit like mindful working. When changing tasks, shift your full attention to the new task at hand.
  4. If you can't seem to be able to fully focus on something, ask yourself what part of that specific task is distracting you, or which other task is so important that it keeps calling your attention onto it. Focus on that one aspect or task, get it out of the way, so to speak, and go back to focusing on one task at a time.
  5. Once you feel a spark of passion for any of the tasks you perform, no matter how big or small, look for similar tasks in your job or possible new developments related to that one task that could open new avenues or result in more opportunities to do what you just discovered you love doing. If necessary, talk to your superiors and let them know about your passion. Managers know that passionate employees always yield better results, so chances are they might give you a few more shots at advancing along those lines.
  6. if nothing you do at work sparks your passion at all, apply all 5 points above to your personal life... what do you do outside of work that sparks your passion? And focus on those instead, to build a life of meaning and energy for yourself.

So, do you have any passions in your life? What gets you excited or moving? Use that! Because a life without passion is like a movie in slow motion; nice and fun to watch for a short while but quite boring after a while.

Enjoy life... ALL of it,

Making Schedules In Getting Things Done

Do you know that stress is sometimes helpful especially in getting things done? But when it is already high it can have an adverse effect on your mental and physical health.

Don't plan out everything you need to do to finish a project, just focus on the very next thing you need to do to move forward. Usually doing the next, little thing will lead to another, and another, until you're done. Be as concrete and discrete as possible. You cannot possibly do all the tasks that need completing.

Don't set things aside and deal them later. Do It Now You have to fight procrastination before it becomes a habit. When making a decision, decide what you're going to do with every circumstance that you encounter in life. Learn to make bold decisions even when you're not really sure if it would be productive or not. Keep moving forward.

The hardest part when to start especially when a task is difficult or complex. However, if I can just get moving on it, even for a few minutes, it tends to get easier. Because I know this about myself, rather than setting the intention to finish something, it's better to condition myself to start. The more often I start, the easier things get finished. Overcoming that first bit of inertia is the biggest challenge (just like getting started on a run, or the first push of getting a car moving).

Once things are moving, just the way you want them and the momentum is on your side, make sure you get done. Make a system and schedule in every activity that you have in life. Now you don't have to worry about it anymore. You will be free of worries for a lot of productive time you spend on repetitiveness and inefficiency.

You need to know what needs to be done, right now. Whatever it is, you need to define it and then get started. Every now and then take drastic measures to ensure that you stay focused. Care about what you are doing because there is a likelihood that it will never happen again.

As much as possible try to spend the first few minutes of your day thinking about the life that you are creating, the people you care about and about what you do. Keeping those things in the front of your mind to help you stay focus. A schedule is very crucial in getting things done. Have a scheduled sequence of tasks before you get down to work. It will save you a decent amount of time during the working process, because you will not need to decide what to do next, but rather merely follow the plan.

Therefore, you cannot get faster at doing things unless you are focused and able to channel all your energy and attention towards some particular task. One thing at a time. That`s the rule that allows you to get the things done faster.

Indeed, planning ahead of time makes your work easier and worry-free.

Effectiveness of Pareto's Principle in Human Life

Vilfredo Pareto was an Italian engineer, sociologist, was the father of the Pareto principle, now also known as the 80/20 rule. Pareto observed that 80% of income in Italy went to 20% of the population. Pareto later carried out surveys in some other countries and found to his surprise that a similar distribution applied. In the late 1940s, quality guru, Dr. Joseph M. Juran, attributed the 80/20 Rule to Pareto, calling it Pareto's Principle. Pareto's Principle or Pareto's Law is a useful tool to help you prioritize and manage the work in your life. For example

  • 80% of our revenues are generated by 20% of our customers.
  • 80% of our complaints come from 20% of our customers.
  • 80% of our quality issues occur with 20% of our products. Or we can say it otherwise
  • 20% of our contributors provide 80% of our funding.
  • 20% of our employees are responsible for 80% of sick days.
  • 20% of my ideas generate 80% of my traffic on my blog.
The value of this Principle is that it reminds you to focus on the 20% of the things that matter. That 20% produces 80% of your results. Although it's a rule of thumb, this principle is used to plan the time and efforts of human beings.
There are so many examples in our lives where we are using this rule without knowing. Analyzing the work task, recording the food habits, daily activity log, reading, socializing, Emails, television shows, budgeting are some of the important activities where this rule is implemented on daily basis.

Talking about applying it to daily life, let us say if you start by making your morning time the most productive time, then you will have the rest of your day the best of your day. suppose if you do only 20-30 minute workout in the morning, you will feel energized whole day. The same formula is applied to your study as well, if you study with sharp concentration for only few hour, you will remember it for next few days. The meaning is very simple daily small effort (20%) are leading you towards (80%) success. But make sure whatever you do, you deliver continuous effort to make that 80% workout.

Without a doubt, I would say that 80% of our happiness is extracted from 20% of what we enjoy doing most. This would include being around family and friends, spending time in the outdoors, flying small airplanes, and doing household chores.

To take action you must start to focus on your outputs instead of inputs. This means consume less, don't focus on materialistic goods, and spend fewer evenings on the couch. Instead, start producing and creating for the world. Go out and volunteer for a non-profit in your community. Mentor a young person or donate time to make someone else's life better. Start focusing on others and helping them reach their goals. Teaching is one of the most rewarding things a person can do in life. You'll find teaching to be an amazing way to build trust with others, which will help in business and life. If you'd like to start a business, find a pain in the market and provide a solution to it. Finding answers to problems and helping others will take you to the next level.

One of the greatest things about the Pareto Principle or the 80/20 rule, is that it actually tries to make things easier for you! You could even say it's the lazy man's guide to achieving what you want. Because it's not about extreme changes and strict routines - it's about recognizing what 20% of things you do already on a daily basis, accounts for 80% of the results you want. Unfortunately, people would much rather be as they are (inputs) and not bother to make the effort (outputs) of applying such a basic principle into their daily lives in whatever area they want to improve upon. Make the effort, be an output. Find what you are good at and maximize it. Recognize the actions that produce the most results for you and your business and put your energy where the big rewards are.

7 Things NOT to Do When You're Angry

1. Suppress your anger. Anger gets a really bad rap, but I kind of love it. I see it as the red light on the dashboard. It simply means that my needs are not being met. So I don't suppress it: I acknowledge it and address it.

2. Start telling a story. When you're angry, it's easy (and natural) to start writing a play in which you're simultaneously the hero, the victim, and the narrator. Don't. Your motto should be "just the facts." Identify what you really know is the case (as opposed to what you think is happening). Take a clear look at what you are reacting to and make a clear observation, making sure not to mix in your judgments.

3. Blame a situation or another person. A situation or another person's actions can never "make" you feel a certain way, so obviously blaming someone or something for your anger is a red herring. Remember, feelings are your warning signals, and are always a result of your needs not being met. As your attention shifts from the stimulus and your immediate reaction (anger) to identifying which of your needs are not being met, your feelings will shift also.

4. Focus on what you don't want. Don't focus on what's bad about the situation: doing so will almost certainly keep you stuck there. Think about it: until we figure out what specific things we do want, it's going to be impossible to ask for them. We're much more likely to judge and blame others for the bad stuff ("It's her fault!"). Learn to take ownership of your thinking and focus your attention on the needs you have that, if they were met, would create an outcome that would make life more satisfying for everyone.

5. Ignore the underlying need. It's better just to blow up and then act like nothing happened, right? No, you say? So why is that a common outcome when we get angry? Remember that anger is a justified reaction to a stimulus, but it's a very fleeting emotion (unless you keep repeating #2 above). When you look deeper, it's very likely that you'll see that you felt hurt, scared, or disappointed by the treatment that initially triggered the angry response. And you'll probably discover that your need is for respect, or safety, or appreciation.

6. Ask for what you don't need. If you'd prefer not to be angry, you should try to get what you really want. I'm sure I'm not the only parent whose first response upon seeing their kid do something undesirable is to yell, "Could you stop doing that?!" But if you're like me, you've found that this is rarely an effective way of stopping whatever it is. By all means, if your child is doing something particularly dangerous, tell him to stop. But giving more information about your emotional state and asking for what you do want ("I feel scared when you run in the parking lot. Could you walk beside me, please?") is a surer bet for getting your needs met.

7. Stifle your creativity. The best way to stay angry is to keep yourself in the same patterns that got you angry in the first place. So focus on finding a creative solution to your needs, a solution that will allow others to get their needs met, too. I've worked hard to be able to go from negative stimulus to a positive request fairly quickly so "Could you stop chasing the dog around the house?!" becomes "Let's go throw the ball outside."

That should take care of most situations when anger shows up. More challenging situations may require a little more work. It probably means there are some long-standing negative feelings. In that case it's super important that you get to a better-feeling place by taking care of yourself first before addressing them.

Treat yourself to a massage, go out to lunch with a friend, or take your dog for a walk. Now that you are feeling good, think about the negatively charged situation and focus your awareness on the others involved. Connect with their feelings, and identify actions that might contribute to meeting their needs.

Now imagine having a conversation with them about the situation in which you share your new insights and the actions you are willing to take to make their lives better. Imagine the conversation going well: how good it will feel to meet the other's needs! Imagine that they are so moved by your willingness to make their lives better that they feel equally compelled to look for solutions that are mutually satisfying.

Aligning your intentions in this way is very powerful. If you haven't moved out of the stalemate of anger and resentment you experienced before attempting this process, refocus your attention on what you want, and keep asking yourself the question of how you can move forward to achieve it.

What do you think? Are you inspired to attempt this process or are you still dubious? What helps you feel better when you're angry?
