Message From the Universe: Not All Money Grow on Trees

"The trick with spending money lies in knowing, with every fiber of your being, that it will return.

And so it must.

As if on wings,
The Universe"

We are hear that money do not grow on trees. Besides the Federal reserve and the illegal underground market, NO one is legally aloud to print money whenever they need it. It's unfortunate for many of us to not have that privilege to have a printer and just print out money at our convenience. However, there is somehow, laying deep into your subconscious mind, a little printer that is compose of neurotransmitters that can somehow bring in the money that you need at the right opportunistic time in your life. It is what we call: "Belief". Many fortune 500 magazine authors will write articles about living frugally to obtain wealth and invest the saved money to grow your portfolio and retire with no financial stress. It's in our mindset that we should invest today and live frugally to enjoy our future in luxury. Are these articles written by financial advisers working for banks and investments firms so they can make more in brokerage fees from you, the investor of the future? Is there any guarantee for you to enjoy the fruit of your hard work and investments? The ingredient that is missing in many people's mind is the belief that spending today means that you will suffer tomorrow and regret your purchases. You need to change this mind set. Of course, it is necessary to spend the money that you have, and not in credit cards. You can't go and spend more than what you have or earn. However, if you save to buy a big screen TV and have the attitude that you are capable of making the money that you will spend on that purchase, you will be exposed to opportunities to recoup that money and not feel like it will never come back. If you have the discipline to save for the things you want and have the belief that the money will always come back, do not deprive yourself and get what you want and enjoy your life TODAY.

We save and save and save for tomorrow and forget to live for today. We work hard for the things we would love to have but fear that if we spend the money, we won't be able to have money for emergency days. We live for today to only anticipate the worst for tomorrow. We live in FEAR of what can happen and not in the belief that we can control many outcomes of our lives if we believe in ourselves and our skills. When you learn to understand how life works, how you can work around many things that you can somewhat predict the outcome of some of your decisions, whatever else comes through your life journey should be welcomed and dealt in a mature and responsible way. Life will throw you a few jabs here and there and there is NO way you can avoid them all. However, if you truly believe in yourself and how to overcome uncertainties, your life should go smoother from this point forward. Always believe that the Universe is NEVER against you, it ONLY listens to your thoughts and actions. The belief part is all up to you.

Your Passed Down Destiny

What is 'passed down destiny'? Addictions and issues that afflict us from the time of birth like a mother using drugs giving birth to a baby who has the addiction or a baby whose natural father has an alcohol addiction are some examples. Learned behavior patterns like domestic violence, unfaithfulness, abuse, poverty, lack of education, anger issues, lawless or gang behavior and gaming the system are learned behaviors that are so entrenched in the foundation of our beliefs that it becomes generational... passed down destinies.

Those in these kinds of circumstances frequently respond to the question of 'why' with time worn words, 'my whole family is like this, even my grandparents. It's just who we are, always have been.' And over the years, it becomes their history. If there is a doubting Thomas in the family look for that to be the first one who leaves and breaks out of the tradition of losing. Why is that? Because the me you see is the me you will be. They don't believe what they see or hear and so are open to expecting or demanding something more in life.

These afflictions are common and are identified as societal issues, defined by the word 'dysfunctional,' yet they are the norm for the family who is caught in its grip. For the most part it is a pretty depressing life that seems hopeless. There are support groups and counselors who specialize in breaking these chains that bind so tightly. Many have been very successful. Regardless of the method you choose to combat these invisible enemies, there are five magic words that lie behind every 'cure.'

Put a stop to it. That is the magic formula, those five simple words. Leaving this kind of despair behind requires you to put a stop to every behavior that reinforces it; including accepting it as truth. You must be willing to examine your own behavior and how it affects the lives you touch. Whenever that behavior rears its head, put a stop to it. Stopping domestic violence, unfaithfulness, abuse, poverty, lack of education, anger issues, lawless, gaming the system or any other behavior that causes you pain, including substance abuse, requires you to put a stop to it.

If you are tired of the hand me down state of mind that has accompanied you on your life journey without ever asking your permission to be in your life, put a stop to it. You have to be willing to pay attention to your responses and examine your belief system to break the pattern. Wherever it originated from, it belongs to that person, not you. It became a part of your life because you were too young or helpless to make a change, now you are older and wiser. You have a choice to pass down a better destiny, one that you create, to your children and grandchildren as you alter the course of your own life... if you are willing to put a stop to it.

Do You Learn More From Your Success Or Your Adversity, Problems And Hardships?

Think this is a redundant, stupid or foolish question? Then why not go back to your daily "to do" list. If not - read on you might see a few things differently as a result.

First of all, let me state the obvious - everyone in life faces adversity, trials, hardships etc. of some kind in life sooner or later. No one is privileged to escape pain while they live their life journey - whether financial, relationship, career, business or health.

Before I move on let me state one more common obvious fact - no one handles, reacts, manages or deals with life's issues the same as everyone else. Some use them to whine and complain - others use them to grow, improve or mature. While others sit there in a coma wondering - what should I (can I) do?

Before we move on however, I'm sure you know which camp you are in the whining one hopefully this article will be of value to you. If you are in the growing camp I'm sure you know someone who is in the whining group, so why not read it and then forward it to them - you never know - it might just be what they need today.

OK, back to my message.

Success can teach us many things - what works, what feels good, what is of value in our life or the life of others, that we are on the right path and doing the right things etc. But, here's the problem with successes lessons - they tend to prevent us from looking at what isn't working or wrong or how what we are doing could be working even better. Consistent success tends to keep people stuck - yes, they have had many success benefits but imagine for a moment if they could achieve even better success if they would learn to see past their success to what could be?

Everyone has achieved some degree of success in some areas of their life whether raising great kids or creating a wonderful backyard garden or building a successful business from scratch. These are all worthy accomplishments but again I ask you - if you could have accomplished even more (a better garden, better kids, better business etc.) would you have settled for what you achieved knowing you could have done more that was within your skills or power?

Success is not just about achievement or winning but serving, giving back, learning and the journey. Today's successes can be tomorrow's failures. No success is guaranteed to last for a lifetime or even years. Success like life is a process but if success keeps you from learning then you are missing what real success is - going past your own definition of your potential and seeing life from a broader perspective.

I'm not saying we can ever see our life or our future from God's perspective but there's no reason why we shouldn't try and see it from a wiser or better human perspective one and not limited by conventional wisdom, previous successes, other's judgements or our own limited belief system.

In the final analysis what can success teach us?

A few of the obvious ones are - gratitude, caution, patience, faith and the value of persistence. Yes, there are many others but in the end without these we will tend not to learn what life offers.

What can adversity, problems, hardship or failure teach us? I could go on for pages with this section but, I'm sure you have better things to do than read my diatribes so let me keep it brief.

First of all, a few important concepts to consider:

-Anyone who has ever achieved and worthwhile success has faced trials, failure, adversity etc.
-Failure is necessary for great and sustained success.
-Failure, adversity etc. is not what is happening to us but how we respond, react, deal with it, learn from it or use it for something good.
-Adversity and problems etc. are in our life to teach us - not about them or it but us.

So, what can we learn from these negative situations?

Think of adversity, problems challenges etc. as a classroom environment and they are the teacher. If you want to pass the course you'll need to pay attention, do your homework and figure out where the important learning is in all of the chaos and uncertainty. Learning Geometry is not easy if you are not good with numbers.

Learning to manage problems is not easy if you have never had any or have never managed them successfully in the past.

Failure, adversity, hardship etc. use pain, disappointment, rejection, ambiguity, distress, abandonment, uncertainty, discomfort, isolation and many other circumstances to get our attention and the courage to take action.

I'm not in any way suggesting that we should seek out failure, adversity etc. but I'm also not suggesting that we hide our heads in the sand or go into denial simply because we don't like what we are experiencing.

Trust me - if you don't learn a lesson life wants you to learn sooner or later you'll get another chance to learn the same lesson.
