You Will Win Every Time You Remain Positive In A Negative Situation

The Difference Is What We See And How We Interpret It

When was the last time you experienced a negative situation? Recall the event as best you can and think about how you responded. Did you get caught up in negativity or were you composed? Depending on the event, can you see how the worry and anxiety draws you into despair? It's natural to respond negatively when a condition spirals out of control, particularly when we least expect it. A tirade of negative thoughts emerge and we find ourselves unable to break free from it. I want to reassure you this is normal because of the mind's inherent negativity bias. It is an evolutionary mechanism that has helped mankind evolve over thousands of centuries. However, it becomes a hazard when it works against us.

Each of us has experienced a negative situation at some time. Regrettably, some people experience them more than others and get caught up in victimhood thinking. Perception is everything because what you look for, you will find. The power of free will means we can perceive something as bad in a good situation and complain about it. Someone else will find the good in a negative situation and use it to their advantage. What's important is how we interpret what we see. For example, I was reading through my book reviews on Amazon recently and noticed someone had left me a one star review on my book, Awaken Your Authentic Self. If you buy books on Amazon, you will be familiar with a feature called Look Inside. This allows the user to preview the contents of the book before they buy it. The reviewer mistakenly attributed this feature which was not working as something I had a part in.

To be clear, this is Amazon's domain since they create, manage and host their own website. As an author, my publisher lists the book on Amazon and I am divested of any involvement in the sale or management of its content. I felt a wave of negative emotions come over me when I read the review, since there was little I could do to resolve it. The point I'm trying to make is, sometimes things happen that are out of our control and while we may be innocent, we still have a choice in how we respond. Getting caught up in negativity is of little use because it won't change the outcome. Even if I got upset, I am allowing external conditions to dictate my happiness.

Life Is Neither Fair Nor Unfair

Can you identify with this narrative in your own life? Has something similar happened where you were innocent and though you tried to rectify the situation, it was of little help? This is when we may succumb to negativity because we have been wronged against. However, we have a choice and it may not be the easiest one to make, but it is the better choice for our peace of mind. Anger and negativity reinforces a despairing mindset because we feel transgression is perpetrated intentionally. Listen, bad things happen to good people sometimes. Equally, people believe life is unfair. Life is neither fair nor unfair; it beats on regardless of how much you try to change its nature. I don't mean to say we are insignificant in the scheme of things. Rather, things are bound to happen, and it is not the event itself that fuels our suffering but in choosing our response that dictates whether we remain at peace or get caught up in the storm. Are you comfortable with this idea that perceiving life as fair or unfair does little to help you through difficult times? The questions we ought to ask ourselves is: What am I called to know about this situation? How can I evolve from what is taking place?

Therefore, you win every time you remain positive in a negative situation because life will pull us into despair given the chance. Negativity is only a stone's throw away. Everyone will tell you how difficult life can be but rarely do we hear stories of life being filled with joy and happiness. Even comments on social media nowadays have become an outlet for moral outrage and social injustice. But this is not helping anyone, other than pulling us into hopelessness because we are drawn into this fictitious sense of injustice in the world. Assuredly, what you read enough of is bound to create your reality and for some, social media is their only platform for information. I knew of a client whose only information outlet was Facebook, so all her news and information was catered to her area of interest. She didn't read books but preferred Facebook as her source of knowledge, regrettably most of it was negative. With this in mind, I'd like you to think about the earlier example of a recent negative event in your life. Ask yourself the questions I put to you in the second last paragraph and journal what comes up for you. It is by remaining positive in a negative situation we win the day and overcome the negativity of the world. What will you choose?

Severe Alcohol Withdrawal

Severe alcohol symptoms start within just a few hours after you stop drinking and withdrawal peaks in about 72-hours. It can be a living hell. The cravings are unbearable. The body and mind are so dependent on alcohol that you cease to function correctly without putting more alcohol into the system. You can experience a high fever and uncontrollable negative thoughts, but that's not all, as it quickly becomes a very dangerous and serious health issue.

You can have hallucinations - hearing sounds that aren't there, feeling things on your skin, and even visual apparitions. These delusions can last for weeks in extreme cases and make you feel like you are going crazy, and you are probably right. You can have full-body seizures 24-48 hours after your last alcohol intake. During this entire time, you will feel confused, have difficulty processing information, and making decisions. You will have trouble with memory recall, even remembering what you are doing presently or what you did moments ago.

Severe alcohol withdrawal can be fatal, and you may need Benzodiazepine or a similar drug to calm down your hyperactive brain, to prevent seizures, and to lower/stabilize/restore normal blood pressure. Without drastic intervention and continued binge drinking health deteriorates quickly. If you are overdrinking or binge drinking now this is where you are headed. If you can't stop once you start you have a serious dependency problem and you need to get serious about it and get the help you need before it takes everything you have and eventually kills you (cite below).

Recently, with the CoronaVirus Crisis, those with severe alcohol addictions had hurt their internal organs so badly that their chance of death from Covid-19 raised significantly. We've all heard of comorbidities by now, right?

If you have a friend or loved one who has these severe symptoms, it's imperative that you get them some help. If not, there is a very good chance that you won't have them as friends or love ones much longer. Alcoholism is serious. Often alcoholics will not seek help on their own. Yes, a few strong-willed individuals with alcohol dependency will, unfortunately, most do not. Alcoholism ruins lives. Not only for the alcoholic but also for those of us who love them despite their dependency.

Message From the Universe: Looking at Life With a Different Lens

dog

"I wish for you flowers and sunshine, gentle breezes and clear skies, calm seas and rainbows. But, perhaps most of all, I wish for you the glorious breadth of experiences you are now poised to receive, so that these tidbits are mere icing on the cake of a life that's rich in adventure.

Huge hug,
The Universe"

Stop focusing the on bad things that happens to you and look at the big picture. To make an omelet, you will need to break some eggs. You can't really expect to be successful in life if you do not take any risks. When venturing into something new, we fear that the business wouldn't succeed, or wouldn't make enough money, or whatever other negative thoughts our mind can create. Why not do the opposite? It's not that hard at all. Just a little bit of effort and focus, the rest will come easily. Do not worry about the amount of hours you need to put into work to make it successful as all ventures requires different level of investment on your side. Quality is crucial, even though we focus too much on the quantity of hours we invest and forget what's really important. Work smart, not hard. Be open minded when it comes to different opportunities and see how you can make things better by changing things around. Sometimes all you need is a small tiny change that can make a huge difference in your business. Invest the time to know what that might be and the rest will come easy. Do not despair, the solution to all your problems is right around the corner.

After the rain and storm comes the sunshine and rainbows. We need to live through some storms to enjoy the good times coming into our lives. This is how the concept of appreciation is purposely integrated in our mind. IF all was great all the time, how can you appreciate anything? Same goes for entitlement and how people can feel like they are owed everything because of who they are. Sorry to disappoint you but life doesn't owe anyone anything. By eliminating this concept from your mind, you can start by looking at things differently, with a more positive outlook and be more appreciative to the good things that happens randomly in your life. Remember that everything that happens TODAY is based on thoughts that you had created 6 months ago. Unless you write down every thoughts you have on a daily basis, it can be hard to remember your thoughts from the past. So just make it a habit to eliminate the bad and allow the good thoughts to fill your subconscious mind and eradicate fear at all costs. You want to focus on what you can do today to guarantee your immediate future, either it be for your financial security, or adopting a new exercise regimen to get healthier so you can live a longer and happier life

Why You Need to Forgive Even If It's Hard - Letting Go of Anger, Resentment and Grudges

Portrait 2

"In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves." ~ Buddha

What if you found out that a trusted school teacher abused your child? How do you prevent anger from overtaking you and destroying everything beautiful in your life like weeds suffocating the flowers of our gardens?

In the post "How to Control Anger in Under One Minute" we looked at three simple steps to prevent ourselves from bursting into the incredible hulk when conflict arises. We examined everyday annoyances such as traffic and the weather.

But what about the deep seeded anger that courses through our veins for years locking us in an ugly prison of resentment, grudges and hate?

If we are honest don't we all have some deep seeded grudge towards someone or something? A heavy heart, lost loved one, or a belief that we have been treated unfairly? If you do, you need to hear this, your family needs you to hear this.

"Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned." ~ Buddha

There are a lot of quotes floating around such as this, but we rarely hear WHY anger isn't good for you, just that's its bad. Do you ever just want to say to whoever "they" are, "OK I get it, anger is like a poisonous snake, now tell my why it's bad for me and how I can fix it."

WHY IS ANGER HARMFUL

1. Health problems; anger can cause the following:
•Headaches and chronic pain
•Insomnia and a higher tendency for alcohol and drug abuse
•Stress, depression and anxiety
•High blood pressure, heart attacks and stroke
•Skin problems
•It also leads to diminished friendships

2. Unhealthy outbursts:

Anger can consume you to the point that you have explosive episodes. You may hurt your loved one with physical and verbal abuse and isolate yourself from friends and family. This can lead to low self esteem and manipulation in our relationships.

3. Bottled Repression:

Bottled anger turns to depression and anxiety. It can also lead to venting at innocent parties such as your children, spouse or pet.

There is no question anger is only harming you and your family. Dwelling on past injustices have no effect on the present other than causing you pain. Being angry will not bring back a lost loved one or mend your broken heart. If you can't let it go you might face these undesirable consequences for the rest of your life.

Meet Jane Doe. She is a friend of mine who recently discovered her husband had been cheating, in an instant her dreams were snatched from her.

On the outside she seemed to be coping but on the inside she was consumed with fury and rage. At the age of 36 she was nearing the end of her fertile window and she blamed her husband for her broken life, she was now alone and childless. This blame kept her locked in her present misery. Her negative thoughts crowded out any positive ones until she was swallowed up by bitterness. She was left an empty shell.

Jane was consumed with thoughts of revenge, resentment and hurt which seeped into her new relationships. She didn't take the time to ask her mind what is the real problem here? Why am I really angry? What am I afraid of?

Jane had the mistaken notion that happiness was dependent upon her husband loving her. Once he was gone Jane didn't think there was anything left, her entire self identity was wrapped around him.

Attachment will only bring us suffering because all things we are attached to we can and will eventually lose.

My Buddhist teacher is always saying: "May you be happy." If you truly love someone you will recognize they aren't your property, one day you will have to leave them. If they choose to leave you before death arrives, you can feel saddened by the loss but you won't crumble because you know that happiness comes from yourself.

This may be difficult but you can still wish someone happiness, even if they hurt you.

Some of you may be ready to debate that some forms of anger are healthy. So a valid question to ask: Is Anger Healthy? Pop psychology suggests bashing your fists into pillows may be beneficial but Buddhist teachings consider that even that is feeding your emotion of anger. I can hear you saying c'mon; I can't even take my frustrations out on a pillow?

Don't Feed Anger

The only neutralizer for anger is compassion; verbal or physical violence only feeds the seeds of anger, it doesn't get it out of your system it creates a stronger emotion.

Wouldn't it be a relief to break out of stressful prison anger keeps us bound to?

Do you sometimes feel like you're on a revolving wheel repeating the same habits, thinking one day you will change? The truth is that we all have the ability to experience inner peace; with psychological counselling on mindfulness, meditation and reflection we will learn valuable skills of mindful awareness.

I read this quote, and my apologizes but I don't have the source. I still want to share it because it really stuck with me. "The recognition that a person can choose emotional well being - even when things don't turn out the way we want it - is the cornerstone of mental heath."

Forgiving is hard but it can be done. Identity your feelings, what you were attached to and what you lost.

Peaceful mind, peaceful life. Anger will stomp all over you if you let it. Life doesn't always turn out the way we want, it can be really tough, but we must choose acceptance. In a small ship rolling across a violent storm, anger will make you seasick. Accept the storm and you will find peace amidst even the strongest waves.

HOW TO FORGIVE EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE

Forgiveness can change your life. It doesn't mean you have forgotten the past. It doesn't mean you have to keep someone in your life. It just means that you have decided to move on that you are ready to be happy.

1. Explore your emotions of hurt and the underlying fear attached to them. Anger stems from a sense of helplessness. Commit to change

2. Seek professional help - You don't have to do this alone. There are many professionals who are trained to help you overcome these difficult emotions.

3. Develop empathy - if someone you love was abused or hurt can you try to put yourself in the violator's shoes?

4. Forgiving is not forgetting - remember it and then let it go. Its about acceptance of what is.

5. Think about your family. Consider the negative effects anger is having on your loved ones.

6. Rely on facts. - The fact is that being angry cannot change the present situation.

7. Write down three good things that came from the negative situation. From every situation you can find some positive outcomes. Whether it be you made a new friend or learned something new about yourself.

8. Acceptance, acceptance, acceptance. Let it go

9. Live in the moment. Practice mindfulness - be continually present with whatever experience you are having. Mindfulness will bring you into the present moment and away from the mind's incessant chatter. Don't give yourself an opportunity to dwell and exaggerate.

10. Take up a meditation practice; visualize anger leaving your body and being replaced with a peaceful white light; imagine the healthy effects this will have on your health and relationships.

Please read this excerpt fully, it is one of the most empowering things I have ever read: This is from the Bill Clinton story about Nelson Mandela:

"Mandela made a grand, elegant, dignified exit from prison and it was very, very powerful for the world to see. But as I watched him walking down that dusty road, I wondered whether he was thinking about the last 27 years, whether he was angry all over again. Later, many years later, I had a chance to ask him. I said, 'Come on, you were a great man, you invited your jailers to your inauguration, you put your pressures on the government. But tell me the truth. Weren't you really angry all over again?' And he said, 'Yes, I was angry. And I was a little afraid. After all I've not been free in so long. But,' he said, 'when I felt that anger well up inside of me I realized that if I hated them after I got outside that gate then they would still have me.' And he smiled and said, 'I wanted to be free so I let it go.' It was an astonishing moment in my life. It changed me."

If Nelson Mandela can let go of years of unjust imprisonment, we can all work towards living a more peaceful life.

How Does Positivism Affect Our Lives?

Woman Doing Split

For me at the beginning it was impossible. I realized that 95% of the day I am angry, sad, mad at life and full of negative thoughts.

Secondly I realized how irritation it is every single minute to try to switch. I gave up multiple times until one day I decided to be patient, persistent and really try. It took me two months to reduce the negativity from 95% to 75% and I realized the benefits of being positive. See, there is much more happening in our body, not only our mind, if we keep up with the high (happy) vibration.

So here are some facts that really shocking but in a good way.

Stress and how we better cope with it

Thinking positive thoughts is not always an easy thing and stressful situations will arise no matter how much you try to stay away from them. When you are a positive think, you can cope with these stress factors much better and more effectively compared to the pessimists. While pessimists tend to take problems as something that they cannot change, optimists will more likely come up with an action plan and call for advice and assistance from others for the issue to be resolved.

What I do when I am stressed out? I breathe deeply. I relax and let my brain soak deep into the situation happening at that very same moment. Have you ever regret the things you said or did when you were angry and stressed out? I did? That is why when you step back, sit and wait your brain calms and you feel confident and "sober" again. After anxiety is gone you can think straight and never regret the outcome. After all situations like this makes us stronger.

Strengthen your immune system with optimism

It has been recently discovered that a person's mind can have a powerful impact on one's body. If there is one area which can be greatly influenced by your attitudes and thoughts, that would be your immunity. Based on one study, when negative emotions are activated in the brain, a person's immune response to flu vaccine tends to be weaker. It was discovered that people who are positive about a crucial and particular area of their lives, like how they perform at work, showed a much stronger immune response as compared to the ones who nurse negative thoughts regarding the situation.

A positive mind will not just improve your immunity and ability of coping with stress. At the same time, this will affect your entire well-being. Experts associated several health benefits with optimism, which include less depression, reduced chances of death caused by cardiovascular issues and increased lifespan. Even though it is still unclear how positive thinking can benefit the health of a person, some say that people who nurse positive thoughts are the ones who follow a healthier lifestyle. As they cope better with stress and avoid unhealthy behaviors, they also improve their well being and health.

So, be positive, be healthy, it is that simple.

Flexibility

Being flexible means having the ability of coping with problems in different situations. Flexible people are the ones who can face a trauma or crisis with better resolve and strength.

They do not fall apart when stress comes their way and instead, they carry on, eventually overcoming the adversity. It is no longer surprising that flexibility is greatly affected by positive thinking. As mentioned earlier, optimists look for ways on how to fix an issue when faced with a challenge.

They do not give up hope and instead, they marshal the available resources and never have any qualms of asking for others' help.

Sticking to a positive mindset is very important, because with positive thoughts you will be able to create the path that you want. You won't be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone and taking risks. You won't be imprison with thoughts of the past or worries about the future. And most of all, you will have faith in yourself. Because you are one talented, incredible, one of a kind human being. You are capable of everything you wish for.

Message From the Universe: Accepting Life As It Comes!

Man In Black Formal Suit Jacket

"Struggling and trying to physically manipulate the circumstances of one's life, reveals a misunderstanding of how those circumstances were actually created. And for the focus placed on them during the struggle, it actually serves to keep things from changing.

Acceptance, on the other hand, reveals an understanding that today's circumstances arose from yesterday's focus, encouraging introspection and fueling new thought, actually serving to hasten change.

Yeah, sounds like an SAT question.

Score,
The Universe"

It takes a whole lot of negative thoughts to create a negative outcome. However, when your brain manages around 60,000 thoughts daily, it is hard to really count the nature of your thoughts, either it being positive or negative. It will consume every ounce of energy you possess if you try. Now, instead of focusing on how many thoughts enters your mind, change your focus towards the nature of what you allow entering your subconscious mind. You want to change your focus, and the rest will follow. It is important to always look for new opportunities and if yesterday was miserable, today will change. Keeping these negative feelings can only damage your soul and wouldn't allow you to work on yourself and progress. Every day is a new chapter written in your book of life, and you are the author. Avoid letting negativity enter your mind day after day and allow it to drain your energy. You can't expect changes when you allow these feelings to happen. Fighting against an opponent (life) that is stronger than anyone you can ever imagine is a battle you will lose miserably. You can, however, fight life intelligently. It's not about how hard your hit back, it's about how much you can take from this fight and keep on moving forward. Life is looking to battle weak minded people, that will lay down after the first punch. Stand up and look at life straight in the eyes and say: "I didn't hear any bells. The fight ain't over yet". I agree that it will hurt, and it will be painful and life will keep on hitting. Life is NOT easy, so if things do not work out the way you want, it is NOT anyone's fault except yours. However, life do not feel it's worth the time to keep on hitting on someone who keeps on getting up after every punch. Show what you are made off and the rest of your life will unravel in front of you. Just know that others are dealing with way more difficult challenges than you do.

Despite these challenges you face today or will face tomorrow, you need to learn how to accept certain circumstances that will occur in your life, regardless of how much you tried to avoid them. There is no IF or BUT about it. It is a part of your destiny and it is already written in your book of life. Even though you are the author, some Epilogue have been written by G-d and this is what you will have to face. So instead of arguing about the outcome, start to think about ways to alleviate the magnitude of the ordeal so you can get out of it unscathed. I am not saying that it will be a walk in the park, but it will hurt all through the process. But again, once this phase is completed, start picking up the broken pieces and trash them. Remember that the pain you are experiencing is ONLY temporary, and it will subside after time. Quitting never really subsides as it becomes a part of you and your personality. Quitters never achieve anything, and they blame the whole world about their misfortune. They forget to blame the ONLY person that allowed the quitting to happen: THEMSELVES. If you have a dream, whatever it is, you need to protect it and cultivate it. If you want something, go out there and get it and don't wait for anyone's permission. When you go for your dream, do not be afraid to fail. You can't always win every war, but allowing yourself to learn from these failures is what can make you a better and wiser person. It will never be just about taking action, but also believing that good things will happen in your life and live like it already happen. Looking to be rich? Feel like you already achieve wealth and start looking at new homes and whatever else you desire. Everything starts with thoughts, then belief and finally, ACTION. So what are YOU going to do today?

What to Do When You Are Really Angry?

Man Wearing White Dress Shirt With Black Necktie

It happens, it's usual, it's expected that we get extremely angry from time to time, that we almost feel like it's closing in on our minds.

After this storm of emotions we all might think that we are not in total control of our reactions during these kinds of situations. Fortunately, there are some little things that can be done to distract our mind off this "Heat". Our mind sometimes act like a child's one; all it needs is just to be distracted.

Here are some things that you can do when you are really angry or frustrated:

1. Change you physical set

If you are in your bedroom; go to the living room. If you are sitting on a chair; go take a walk in your apartment. Trust me this will keep your mind a little bit busy until this high wave of outrage passes.

2. Focus on reason, not emotion

Reason will help you get away from the negative thoughts coming quickly to your mind at these moments. Reason will help you process your feelings "as if it is food getting digested" and determine your best convenient response.

3. Determine what exactly made you angry

It may not be what your friend said but actually a weakness point that it touched inside you. It could be your boss who criticized your performance NOT your wife when you got home afterwards. Many people get angry during certain situations yet they show their anger later at very different ones. A major reason of this behavior is mistaking the true reason that got them angry in the first place. If we analyze the things that actually get us nervous, many problems in this world will be solved.

4. Delay your response

Wait before it's late! Let's be frank; you know you don't get your best decision with a red eye! Surely some people do best under stress, but Don't mistake Stress for Anger. There is a marked difference.

5. Take a cool shower

What is better to extinguish fire than water, right? It will relax your body, energy, and mind.

6. Discharge your anger energy by exercise

Like I said you need to get rid of the boiling energy inside you. Run, Left some Weights, Practice some boxing "I like this one", some intense shouts can be useful to express your anger in a more healthy way.

7. Talk about it with your close ones

Having someone to talk about the things that upset us is a blessing some people don't have. Talk about your anger, your fears, and your passion with the people who are trustworthy, the people who understand you and listen to your words. Discuss with them the things that put you out of normal mood and how to overcome them, even if they didn't find a solution at the moment, talking with them only would let your negative emotions out and gives you a refreshment boost.

8. Avoid your anger triggers

It's wise to limit the things that harass our mood. Life is already full of those so we should save ourselves some peace of mind.

How You Can Prevent Negative Thoughts From Assaulting Your Mind And Your Health

There is scientific evidence to prove that the number of information bits that enter into our nervous system is 2 millions per second. These information bits direct our thought process. A major chunk of these information bits can be contributing to our negative attitude because they come from the media that seems to have taken a vow that they will thrive only on negativity. This may be the reason self-improvement experts advise you not to read the newspapers or see the news channels at least during the first few hours of the mornings. Their intention is to help you start your days with a positive mindset.

Of course, despite all the negativity surrounding you, you can be positive and strive to improve yourself. But this is possible only if you change how you think. In fact, if you make purposeful efforts, you can succeed in it. Use these tips to awaken your dormant power.

1. Self-improvement experts classify people into two groups. The first group is called "the-cause people" and the second group is named as "the-effect people." It is because of the former group of people things happen. On the other hand, the second group blames everything and everyone for their failures. For example, if a person in the second group fails in an examination, he or she will say that it is because of bad luck that he or she could not clear the examination. Similarly, those who fail will find out some reason or the other to explain their failure.

If you belong to the second group and if you want to shift to the first group, you must first be ready to take responsibility for whatever happens in your life. Once you change your mindset, you will feel empowered to take the required action that may take you quickly towards your goal. Simply put, if you want to improve yourself, stop blaming others and be ready to take responsibility for all your actions and behaviors and the results thereof.

2. Let us assume that you have picked a book from the library, assuming that it will be interesting. After reading a few pages, you realize that the contents of the book are boring and that they may not do any good to you. What will be your immediate reaction? You will return the book to the library and try to choose a better book. Your thought process should also be the same.

If unwanted thoughts come up in your mind, you should get rid of them immediately. This means you should cultivate the habit of constantly "observing" your mind. In other words, you must purposely pay attention to what you think. So, whenever negative or unwanted thoughts come up in your mind, you should forcibly drive them away by changing your thoughts. You can do this by thinking about some positive or pleasant incident that happened in your life.

Remember that your mind is like a fertile field in which you can grow fruit-bearing trees and flowery plants. But if you allow unwanted weeds to grow in such a 'fertile field,' these weeds can do harm to your crop. Hatred, jealousy, anger, etc. are like unwanted weeds. Replace them with kindness, empathy, sympathy etc. Take people as they are. Everyone has a positive as well as negative qualities. If you look at their positive side, you will not feel hatred towards anyone. This may initially be difficult to adopt but if you practice consistently, you can certainly change the way you look at things and people.

The 1960s saw the discovery of chemicals in the human body that are known as 'neurotransmitters.' These chemicals carry messages all over the body. According to Deepak Chopra, a renowned self-improvement expert, every cell of the human body loves to immerse themselves in these neurotransmitters. This means every cell in your body is aware of what your mind thinks. In other words, unwanted thoughts can negatively impact the health of your body cells and ultimately, your overall health. You may develop what are called 'psycho-somatic illnesses.'

By practicing consistently and training your mind to think only of positive thoughts, you can improve yourself and escape from these illnesses also.

Anger Is an Inside Job

Getting angry is often a natural almost instinctive reaction. Something happens or someone does something that seems to immediately cause us to go into a "fight or flight "mode and our anger takes over.

However that is not what really happens. There are specific physical signs, as well as specific thought patterns that often precede actually getting angry. If we can identify the associated physical signs, as well as the underlying thought patterns, perhaps we can take some steps to control it before it takes control of us.

What does it feel like to become angry?

Here are some common physical indications often associated with anger

• Knots in your stomach

• Clenching of our hands or jaw

• Feeling Clammy or Flushed

• Rapid breathing

• Headache

• Pacing or needing to walk around

• Pounding Heart

• Tensing neck & shoulders

Although we may think that the cause of our anger is external, such as other people's actions or frustrating situations. The reality is that anger problems have less to do with what happens to us than how we interpret what has happened. Negative thought patterns are often the fuel that ignites anger

What are some negative thought patterns that are associated with Anger?

Here are some common thought patterns that often lead to anger.

• Overgeneralizing: Using terms like "you Always interrupt" or "you Never let me speak"

• Obsessing on "should haves" and "ought to"

• Jumping to conclusions: assuming you know what the other person is thinking or feeling

• Keeping score: looking for negative situations and letting them build up till you explode

• Blaming others Rather than taking responsibility for your own actions

Stressful events do not have to lead to angry reactions. Understanding how these events affect you can be very helpful in controlling your reactions. As we recognize specific situations that trigger angry reactions, and identify the physical symptoms and underlying negative thought patterns, we are in a better position to control the outcome.

How do you do that?

Take an inventory of some recent situations that have caused you to have an angry reaction. Think about what you were thinking. What were you feeling? Did you notice any physical signs leading up to the point of anger? How did you react? What could you have done to avoid getting angry? What can you do beforehand that can help you better respond to a similar situation in the future?

By taking the time to think through these scenarios ahead of time, you are more likely to be able to control your anger before it controls you.

How To Dismiss Negative Thoughts & Feelings

Any negativity in thought, feeling or behavior is a separation from your real or higher self. It's a separation from reality itself - which we can term temporary insanity. This is based on the fact that the universe as a whole is an all-positive phenomenon where not a speck of negativity exists. The universe moves in perfect harmony with every person, place and thing within it. - Otherwise life could not exist and flourish within it.

Negativity such as anger, resentment, impatience, fear, guilt, insecurity, boredom, frustration, anxiety, worry, and the like, is usually an expression of denial or refusal. It's anything lacking in constructiveness, helpfulness, usefulness, cooperativeness and optimism. Negativity of any name or nature contradicts this universal harmony, so will result in negative feedback - for what goes around, comes around. What gives, gets. Nothing true, good or positive can possibly come from a negative foundation because the negative is always false or unreal. It's a lie from beginning to end.

Any negativity you experience in your life exists primarily in your mind and is all ego- or self-created. Part of your mind makes it up and another part believes it. You have a free will and, consciously or unconsciously, you - the egotistical or self-centered you, have chosen to indulge or express it in order to make yourself feel better about yourself, to justify yourself. The ego takes everything personally: "How dare my computer run so slowly!" "How dare that idiot driver cut me off!" It's all about you instead of about life itself.

Taking everything personally is your current default position, and is the father of all the negativity in your life. Until you grow out of this self-centeredness you were born with, you're going to have to learn to control your negative emotions rather than not have them at all. You control them by making them dead on arrival by not entertaining, romancing or indulging them for more than a split second. Prevention is key because negativity comes with the self-centered personality. It comes with the flesh.

This is where detached awareness comes into play. You want to stay on top of your thoughts and feelings. Notice their emergence into awareness as soon as possible - then immediately dismiss them. Change the subject. Pause. Walk away. When you witness them from a distance, they disintegrate on their own - as if from lack of fuel.

Your personally-indulgent attention is what gives negative thought and feeling energy, power and a false reality. This is how we "create our own monsters." As you consciously distance yourself from all thought and feeling - both negative and positive, you unite with your real, all-positive self. Separating from your lower self is the gesture that connects you to your higher self. It's amazing!

Three Tips to Help You Think More Positively

I know. It's hard sometimes. Trust me, I get it and I'm right there with ya sister! Thinking positively is not always easy. At first it becomes another task. Then once you get a process down pat, the crappy negative thoughts still seem to creep in. But here's the deal. We are part Ego and the negative will always be there. BUT there are ways to effectively handle them and move through a more "thoughtful" (pun intended) thought process. Because at the end of the day, it is our thoughts that are creating our reality and if we want to live a better life, we have to think better - we must change our minds consciously. Change your thinking and change your life. It's inevitable.

There are three specific mental exercises that I use when I need help thinking positively.

1. When a negative thought comes to mind I picture a huge metal slab moving through my mind pushing everything in its path out of my consciousness. From left to right, I can see the slab bulldozing the thoughts right out of my mind.

2. Another way is to shout at the thought mentally, "OUT!" Then see the thought flee away. This is Louise Hay's preferred method of changing thoughts from negative to positive. (Louise Hay is the founder of Hay House Publishing; an international leader in Spiritual and Personal Development literature.)

3. Lastly, as soon as I become aware of my negative thoughts I simply and consciously change my point of focus on to something else. I choose a positive thought and start thinking about it, leaving the negative story in the dust. Usually the new thought is the opposite or an improved made up version of what I was just thinking, or it's something completely different that I am in the process of manifesting.

TIP: Combine the last method (#3) with the first two methods.

Even when I am at my most balanced (mind, body, soul) those negative thoughts creep in. BUT I will say that they don't stick around as long. They come in my mind, are caught quickly, and are simply dismissed using one or more of these methods.

What do you do when those pesky negative thoughts creep in?

Do you have any mental tricks up your sleeve?

How often are you consciously catching yourself thinking negatively, and then switching your thoughts to something more positive?

I can't wait to hear what you do!

How Affirmations Can Help Your Love Life

Many people believe in fate but are there more to love and relationship than this?

It could be that using affirmations are the key to finding the right person for you. Whether that is the same thing as fate is anyone's guess. But, believing that you will find the right partner and thinking about the right language that gets you there will go a long way.

It is often said that when you throw in the towel with respect to finding someone is usually when something happens. There are numerous cases when people state they have given up but shortly after that they managed to find someone. Maybe there is something true about this. However, it could be that the affirmations they were using all along are simply paying off for them.

Even after you have found someone and are in an exclusive relationship, affirmations can probably help you with solidify that.

Suppose you find yourself frequently fighting with your loved one. Fights are often the result of negative thoughts and emotions about the other person. By concentrating on positive aspects of each other, you will find the negative ones are no longer important. There are certainly issues that can persist and may need some special handling. But, staying positive can help with this as well.

It should be noted that no amount of affirmations will help a relationship that isn't meant to happen.

Sometimes, a relationship can start out great but over time, both parties feel that they are not compatible with the other. Or, one partner may be more committed than the other and have an imbalanced investment of partnership. When this happens, it's probably best to honestly face the fact with each other, move on and find someone more compatible.

Maybe you have experienced the situation where someone special came into your life after you have given up the need to get love. Try to think about the days or weeks before that happened.

What thoughts did you possess during that time? Maybe you were thinking about what qualities you would like in a future mate. Did you tell yourself you like someone who is tall or someone who is successful? Or, was the conversation in your head about a person who is down-to-earth?

These are all aspects that you may have been focusing on during that time, and even though you eventually give up, the Universe delivered for you. It's likely that you were using affirmations without even knowing that you were. Give it a try. You just may find the right person by simply thinking about the standards you set while being the best version of yourself you can.

Message From the Universe: Be the Problem Solver

"Holy Mackerel, it's not supposed to be easy!

Please, never think or say that again, ever. OK?

It is easy.

(The sound of thunder fading into the distance... )
The Universe"

When we have solutions to all problems in our lives, we feel empowered to tackle anything or everything that crosses our path. We feel nothing is impossible to accomplish. We look forward to the challenges because we know that solutions are just one step away. When in school, when you studied very hard for an exam, you felt ready to Ace the test and come out the room feeling like a champ. You didn't fear anything and ready to tackle whatever was on the exam. Imagine life had a manual where you would study its content thoroughly and never be stuck when challenges arose. Would you feel excited about your life? If everything was presented on paper, there is really nothing worth looking forward to since you already know where you are headed. We feel our challenges are difficult because of not finding solutions to all existing and pending problems. We end up feeling depressed and irritated because of these reasons. Your mind created these problems so it can allow itself to find their solutions. Depending how you perceive the complexity of these problems, you are in control of their outcome. It's all up to you to make everything easy for yourself.

One famous quote of Albert Einstein:

"Problems cannot be solved with the same mind set that created them."
If you allow your mind set to be negative in nature, you won't be able to find solution to your problems. If you look for the good out of all the bad, you are changing your mind set to solve every problem that crosses your path. If you feed your mind with negative thoughts, chances are that more of the bad will show up in your life and you will start feeding more negativity that will render more depressing outcome. If you know that negative mind set can destroy your potential, why adopt it? As mentioned previously, if your life had a manual, it would tell you to stop thinking this way and change your outlook. Wouldn't be great to predict the future as to what would be the best relationship for us and avoid going on many dates to eventually discover that the person is missing a few chromosomes? If that would be the case, all online dating sites would go bankrupt since we would find our significant other after the first date. This is when common sense is crucial and when you see more and more people going into toxic relationship because of their past toxic relationship, you start wondering what is WRONG with these people? Why are they constantly going back to the same type of relationship knowing it will have disastrous ending? I guess only psychiatrist can figure out the answers to these questions. I guess the root of their problem is from childhood where they faced abusive parents and had to create alternate solution in their mind where when being adults, they feel they can save that abusive partner and be their savior. Whatever the reason, you will never be qualified to enter someone's mind and find the solution to their problem. You can help them, but not save them. Start by saving yourself first and keep yourself sane throughout the process. This is your life, live it well.

How To Use Scripts To Reinforce Visualization

Most humans are visual beings. We constantly visualize images in our brains. We have an inner voice that keeps talking to ourselves as well. But even when we love to chat with ourselves, we are likely translating those words into mental pictures.

So it is not too surprising to understand that visualization is a strong concept in the toolbox of the Law of Attraction. But, with all the thousands of images that we have in our brain daily, how do we focus on visualizations that will help us?

We can use scripts.

These scripts will allow us to hone in on the correct visualizations. When done right, they can set ourselves up to think properly as well as filtering out negative thoughts. When looked upon in this way, the more positive images you can imagine, the less room there is for negative ones. After all, we all can only focus on one single time at any given moment.

Visualization is a part of the Law of Attraction. It requires concentration to make sure you have the right images placed in your mind. That's why using a script can be a tremendous help in accomplishing this.

So where do you find the proper scripts to use for your visualizations?

One good resource can be found in Amazon online. It's a book called <33 Guided Visualization Scripts to Create the Life of Your Dreams> by Louise Stapely.

The three main sections - Wealth, Health and Love - are covered within the book, each with several subsections. The book also mentions techniques to relax the mind with decent coverage on how to meditate. While meditation is not essential to make visualizations work, it can get you there faster as it relaxes the mind.

Keeping stress to a minimum is crucial when trying to place the proper mental images in your mind.

You simply cannot think straight if you have too many things going on in your life. Therefore, make sure you learn the techniques on how to reduce stress. There are plenty of available resources online to help. Amazon is a good starting point. Doing simple meditation in addition to your visualization is a bonus.

Scripts are effective because they help paint the mental image for you.

It's almost as a director on the set of a movie. He or she is responsible for making sure the actors and the set give the right kind of mental image. The actors are responsible for delivering the right inflections, lines, facial expressions and emotions that are convincing. In the same way, a script can help you get the proper image to engage your mind so it's easier for you to activate this power of visualization

5 Powerful Changes You Can Make To Relieve Anxiety, Stop Negative Thoughts and Be Happy

From birth to death, people have always been looking for happiness. We often hear this phrase a lot, "I just want to be happy". Have you ever stopped and thought about what it means to be "happy"? Why no matter how hard you try, happiness comes hard for you, and it seems to come easier for others? What is your personal definition of happiness? How can you tell if you're truly happy?

This post will give you a few tips and tricks to be able to change the way you think, just a little bit, that can result in powerful change in the direction of true happiness!

Let's get to it!

Recovering From Failures

The human race has built itself into what it is today using only 1 tool: failure.

A spin off of the Charles Dickens quote in the opening of his book A Tale of Two Cities goes like this: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, truly the best of times". This means that through all the good times and all the bad times there's always a silver lining, a positive aspect that makes it all worth it.

Successful people have also faced many difficulties and failures in which they've turned into strong positive roots moving forward by learning from them and fully appreciating their roles in making themselves into more knowledgeable and better people for it.

Approval Seeking

You may sometimes be unsure if your decisions are the right ones and are constantly looking for approval from others to mitigate the risk of having a negative outcome.

In the end this behaviour may make you seem less confident in your decisions. Make concise and confident recommendations and delegations with positive expectations in mind. This will not only free your mind of the negative burden of stress and anxiety but it will also, with time and experience, make for more successful decisions and help develop confidence.

You may also be seeking the approval of your peers in school or "the popular kids". This, subconsciously, makes other feel as if you are not comfortable with who you are. You are who you are, and who you are is great. By constantly seeking approval you are suppressing your own personality. Show people who you are and remember not to look for validation from them. If you amuse yourself and make yourself happy then you will also amuse other people and they will like you for who you are.

Always anticipate that people will like you, if you really believe it then it will come true because your mind and body will make the adjustments necessary with that confidence to make it reality.

Outcome Dependency

Outcome dependency is very similar to approval seeking. What you want to try to notice when you are showing signs of outcome dependency and make conscious decisions to free your mind of the outcome, be present, go with the flow and anticipate only positivity.

If by chance your school presentation doesn't go well, you do not get the job, or your decision results poorly then you should be happy because you've just learned so much from that experience which will make you better and stronger next time!

If you are OK with learning from failures, you should have no reason to fear the outcome of a situation.

Comparisons & Jealousy

Notice your thinking patterns. You are not alone, many people often compare themselves with others in this manner, some of us may not even be fully aware that we are comparing ourselves at this, or any, extent.

We want to be prettier, happier, have more money and things; this makes us feel bad about our own self and causes us to resent and repel others, you start to miss out on great opportunities, friendships and life lessons.

Instead of comparing your life with others, compare your life only to YOUR life. Think of yourself as the only person you need to impress and prove something to. Have an inner battle with yourself, challenge yourself to be more and do more. Check in with your own progress from time to time and reward yourself for it.

Giving Positivity

Selfless acts in general make you feel positive about yourself and spread positivity to others, the more positivity we have in this world the easier it is to be happy. Compassion is one of the life's most wonderful feelings and gifts. It will make a big difference in your life and happiness.

Here are some ideas of how you can give positive energy or do some good deeds in this world:

  • Donate to charity
  • Help a friend in need
  • Volunteer for something you're passionate about
  • Buy a gift or flowers for your mother or grandmother
  • Allow a fellow driver to merge into your lane
  • Write a thank you note to someone who won't expect it
  • Compliment others
  • Hold the door for others
  • Say hello to others and smile
  • Pick up trash from the sidewalk
  • Help someone who seems to be struggling with something

For you to accept positivity you must firstly disarm the power that negativity has over you. Be aware and be the person you want to become.

Manifestation Secrets

The power of the universe lies in your own mind

Manifestation might seem easy and natural for some but hard for many. Have you ever heard of the phrase "Baby Luck"? Yes, when you were young you may find yourself a lot luckier than you are now as an adult. It was like the universe responded more to you at a younger age than to your current age. The older we grow, the tougher life seems to be. That is natural as we have unknowingly developed negativities and ego along the way in every life experience. Those negative thoughts and ego you built up have blocked you from getting what you want. It gives you doubt in everything you plan to do, clouds your mind, and finally weakens your spirit.

Fear & Disbelief

Even for the people who seem most confident when talking or acting may hide their self-doubt, disbelief, and fear deep in their minds. Those feelings obstruct them from achieving their goals and be the best version of themselves. They become more worried about how they would feel if they fail instead of focusing on achieving their goals. And the universe responds to that fear and manifest it accordingly.

Ego & Arrogance

On the other hand, being arrogant and possess too big an ego would not help with successful manifestation either. People with big ego see nothing more than themselves. They miss all the needed details required for a successful manifestation. Manifesting what you desire requires sensory details. You need to visualize it, feel it, hear it. The clearer the image of what you desire, the faster it would manifest itself to you.

Insight meditation to increase awareness

Practicing your awareness can help you realize negativities before letting it consume you. We may find we screw things up for ourselves just because we let temper take the better of us. When angry, we can not think clearly and tend to say things we would regret later. Even when we don't say anything, negativities arising in our mind emit negative energy to the universe. That energy will attract the same back to us. That explains why we mostly have an unpleasant day when we start our day in a bad mood. Insight meditation helps us aware of any feeling that comes to mind. We can observe it without judging or labelling. No like or dislike. When we put no fuel, no emotion to it, we will see a strong feeling finally die down or dissolve itself after a while. That would leave your mind with the positive thought or at least the neutral feeling.

Stay positive!

All it takes for you to get what you want out of life is to learn to communicate with the universe, with your inner self, with you subconscious mind. Always stay pleasant and you will emit positive vibe around you that would send a signal to the universe and attract more good things into your life, like a magnet. You need to be crystal clear about what you want, able to visualize it, feel it, and commit to it to let the universe know that is what you want. You then vibrate the right energy to the universe, and the law of attraction will work the magic for you.

Do You Have The Life You Deserve? (By Felipe Tognarelli)

How to improve your life and get the motivation to pursue your dreams!

I remember growing up with the widely accepted notion that life will somehow just give way to my fantasies and wishes. But as I grew older, I discovered the depth of the saying; "if wishes were horses, we would all be riders".

If we could all just get what we desired, then no one would have to be wallowing in the disgrace of lack or struggle with pursuing their dreams. While considering if it is possible for someone to have the life we deserve and also while trying to improve my own life and get motivation to pursue my dreams, I noticed that life will not hand you what you need but will give you what you demand and that there is a way to place such a demand.

I may not always have deserved what I demanded, I certainly didn't demand to be diagnosed with stage 2 Cancer while only being 25 years old, but the fact is that we all get what we demand or attract, and most of the time, we all do this unconsciously by letting our thought take control of our lives. With this knowledge, I admitted that life was never handing me what I deserved and it never would. If today, I'm not where I want to be in life it's because I didn't place the demand or I never thought of myself as someone capable of achieving success, there was always the "but" keeping my brain "tied up" telling myself I am just not good enough, then I surely have realized what I've demanded my entire life - Nothing.

Once before this realization, I attracted a lot of negative thoughts that weighed me down on the highway of life to destiny, but I decided to get rid of all these beliefs to finally start taking control of my life and move it towards my dream, you know what they say... if you don't control your life, your life will control you... So life has finally given me what I demanded, reshape my mind and take over it!

Now, the fact that I wanted something doesn't necessarily mean that I have decided to have that one thing, and the difference here is what has transformed in my life. Although it is the greatest importance and obviously the first step, desiring accomplishment and a better life won't necessarily give you that life, you must be relentless and hustle every single day to achieve that type of life you are after, success is not complicated to obtain, just hard, but not complicated.

This is what I have seen as the key that unlocked my latent abilities and eventually my drive. The fact about dreaming is that it's everyone's ability, it is therefore, imperative that one must dream big or as others may say "think big". An inner source of motivation I first chose to cleave to is; to dream and think bigger every day, through the rain and whatever weather I was going to dream big. Dreaming was the first step to my improved life. The consistency of my dreams bears much who I am ordinarily and creates spaces for a better me. Dreaming big as I have understood, helps me realize all the greatness that I can be, but am not yet and this sets me on the edge. I cannot sit comfortably with the understanding that I am less than I should be.

So, what would happen if we don't decide to act upon our dreams? Then, times will come when the only apparent option is to desert your dreams and desires to settle for less, that's why the matter of deciding to press on must be permanently present, because if not now, then when?. The truth in life is that not every day will be a sunny day, storms and tempests will come and your resolve to hang on and remain in the game is what will determine you having the life you deserve.

Dreaming big, I came to realize that helped me to get to another phase of improving my life; knowing myself and knowing my life, knowing where I was and where I wanted to go. Another important matter to achieve the life we have always dreamed about, we must avoid the "identity Crisis" the quest for who to imitate or who to masquerade as being that. Not knowing oneself is a deterrent to personal improvement because the fact is we are all different and to improve oneself, one must know their own self. This knowledge is what makes me and not somebody else, you are the anchor of your own show and you and have the power to decide whatever dreams you will pursue to achieve or not.

I see that it is never really any improvement repeating what another man has done. I can and should learn from the achievements and failures of other men, but I should never replicate them, it is fundamental to have a mentor, someone that has accomplished what we are trying to accomplish, so we can learn from them, however, failure and success are personal, they are subject to circumstances such as the principal conditions around the person and activity. Thus, because conditions cannot, in essence, be replicated, it not wise to want to replicate the success of another man.

The fact that I know myself helps me to decide on what and what not to indulge myself in. I know what activities would drain me without seeing any conceivable benefits and those that will engage me with returns, but no conceivable drains.

A wise man once said, "Wisdom is the ability to recognize difference". And in defining wisdom he says "is pragmatic of life". I have seen that when I recognize the difference between what I can and cannot do, I do not stress myself on the "cannot", rather I reinforce my can.

Reinforcing what I can do is the third step to improving my life. From nature, we can learn that, when a seed is planted it is not guaranteed that it will grow and bear the fruits a plant should. It needs water and fertilizers, sunlight and weeding. Eventually, the plant brings forth, likewise, the knowledge of who I am was basically the seed that had been planted, and I then need to water that seed, provide it with fertilizers, sunlight and weed the ground around the seed.

This reinforcement is what I have seen comes from awareness, I should gain as much knowledge as I can on the dreams I have, the pros and the cons. The knowledge I get from books, the internet, learning from others (specifically those I can recognize as having achievements in areas of my ambitions) and from nature will help me further pursue my dreams, this knowledge points me in the right direction of implementation and also gives the momentum towards my dreams. Without such knowledge I will gamble with what to and what not to do, this eats large chunks from invaluable time.

Lastly, improvement is guaranteed by work. I may have big dreams and know how to achieve them, but without the express vigor of taking action to the latter, big dreams and abilities are simply that. To translate big dreams into their tangible equivalents, I have learned that I have to work them out, there is no magic involved, just work and we all can work.

The times that I've encountered the greatest improvements in my life have been in the hardest times when facing my biggest challenges, but I essentially kept on pressing without stopping. The motivation to keep on going comes from the knowledge that what I am facing right now is not unknown, there have been countless people before me that have encountered similar and worse challenges and overcame them successfully.

Until next time!

Motivational Rules To Apply To Life & Business

Many people see motivation as something you have or you don't have, often depending on your specific situation. In fact, motivation is a choice that everyone makes. You can find ways to be positive and to strive to improve a situation or you can choose to complain and stay stuck where you are.

This is not always easy to see, so using specific motivational rules can help to create a positive mental space and framework in any situation. To help you to get started, here are some basic motivational rules that can be easily implemented in any situation and for any individual.

Motivation Rules To Help You Stay Motivated

  • Find Your Passion! What do you really love to do? What really matters in the world around you? What do you see as your purpose or your cause? This is an important part of motivation and having a reason to do what you are doing. Find your passion and then choose activities that help you to achieve that passion or interest. Ask yourself this question, if you could do whatever you wanted and you were guaranteed success, what would you do?
  • Get Rid of Negativity - negative thoughts and negative people are like kryptonite to motivation. It is important to get rid of them in your life or at least limit the time they occupy. When you find yourself thinking you can't accomplish something, look for ways to break it down and then accomplish those smaller components, soon you will find the obstacle is no longer there. For negative people, limit contact or try to avoid topics that escalate their negativity.
  • Be Self-Competitive - set goals for yourself that are daily, weekly, monthly and longer term. Write them down and use them to chart your accomplishments. By competing with yourself to achieve your goals, you will gain self-confidence and trust in your abilities.

Finally, don't just go after small goals and daily challenges. Set long term goals and dream big as well. Having long term goals and dreams to work towards can be some of the most motivational aspects of life for personal or professional growth and change. They can also make your short term goals more effective by creating goals short term goals that ultimately help you achieve your long-term goals.

Continue working on the activities that help you stay motivated, they will become habits and that is when you will achieve true long-term motivation.

Message From the Universe: The Universal Question Remains: Is All This a CHOICE or FEELING?

"How about no matter the temptation, you no longer think or say, "I'm tired," "I'm hurt," "I'm angry."

Don't even think or say, "I'm happy." Instead, whenever the urge arises, think or say, "I choose to be tired, hurt, angry or happy." And give it a little time.

Because this is how you become anything,
The Universe"

Should we assume that Happiness is a choice? It is said, in the message above, that we should CHOOSE to be happy, hurt, angry or tired. If all of these feelings are choices, then what about people sharing their discontent by saying: "I feel angry towards this person, or I feel tired after a long day at work, or I feel very happy today because of all the great things that are happening in my life". So again, despite what the Universe is sharing towards choices or feelings, we, as humans, shouldn't take all of this literally. Depending on how we perceive life in general, we will opt for either one. Should we feel or choose? Could it be both? Why should it be ONLY one or the other? Unfortunately, choosing or feeling is not like a mathematical equation where the answer is based on logic. There is NO logic when it comes to who you are, as an individual. We are not computers, not yet, that is. We wake up every morning, and should be thankful for having that privilege. We get up and should be thankful for being able to use our legs to walk towards any destination. We breath, see, talk, use our arms and hands to perform the basic tasks in our lives, but forget to be grateful. WE take things for granted and feel entitled that all of what we already have is because LIFE is obligated to give it to us, which is, for many, very common perception.

Sorry to bust your bubble here, but life doesn't owe you anything. Just take a look around you, see all the innocent people being victims of screwed up people living in our society, killing for no reasons whatsoever. They were at the wrong place, at the wrong time. There were 14 of them, in San Bernardino, CA, that left their home in the morning, never ever predicting the end of their lives on that day. Let's analyze that a bit deeper. Can we say, based on past research, using metaphysical methodologies, that all 14 people who died were sharing the same negative thoughts in their mind, feeling miserable about something, not being appreciative about what they already had, or sending negative vibe to Universe for that despicable act of violence to happen on that day. How about Paris on November 13th? The same can go for the 2996 people who died on September 11th, 2001. How can that be possible? How can the Universe create an environment so destructive for 3000 people to die on that same day, from a deadly terrorist act (if we can call that terrorism, many questions remain unanswered about September 11th)? We can't really answer these questions as they go beyond what our mind can comprehend. It is above and beyond our level of understanding. We may have profilers specialist explaining the reasons as to why a terrorist can perform such deliberate act of violence to innocent victims by analyzing their childhood, what kind of life they lived and so on and so forth. From there, they can explain the reason why they went to these kind of extremes. However, no one can explain how the mind works, and despite troubled childhoods, we have seen people excel and achieve amazing things, becoming great people and helping others succeed. On the other hand, the opposite can also happen where people with great childhoods can create havoc by terrorizing people for no apparent reasons. They chose their destructive path and couldn't care less of who they bring with them. They know that if they simply commit suicide, no one will remember them. However, if they take 10 or 15 innocent victim lives while committing suicide, this is where their name is eternal. Choose the righteous path, and always feel happy day in and day out.
