You Control Your Destiny

As all the organs and limbs form your body, and your body, your life, you, are a whole unit built by parts, so is Destiny a whole unit built by the parts which are the Seven Powers which also control our life. Unhealthy Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Laziness, Anger, Envy, Pride.

Every event in your life can be dealt with in different ways, ways that you can choose; to run or stay, to cower or stand strong, to steal or be honest, to defend or attack, to lie or tell the truth, each moment of your life in which you have to make a choice, Destiny is right there, to determine the direction your life will take from that moment onward based on your decision and action.

Destiny is not fixed, it is as fluid as the weather, changing at any moment, and you are the master of your destiny, you just don't know it.

In fact, you do not want to know that you are the master, because the responsibility is too great, the challenge too difficult.

With every choice you have to make, even if you think you do not have a choice, if you reflect on your past, you will see that you had a choice, you probably just didn't like the choice you knew was right.

Gravity is a power of this planet and universe. It keeps everything down to the ground. It also keeps the moon in orbit around the earth and the planets in orbit around the sun. It is always drawing everything to the lowest point.

In the same way, the powers draw your life and thoughts to their lowest point. For the powers are our weaknesses, imposed on us to keep us in the often messed up human condition, the weaknesses, self-centredness and evil nature that is part of being human.

The energy that we are, which some people call the soul, but I call 'my conscience', or 'better judgment' or is commonly referred to as 'common sense' a rare commodity in the human race, is the true nature of what we are.

The battle is between the powers which are our negative qualities, keeping us down to our lowest level which is the human ego, and, our essential energy which is light. Not light just in the sense of brightness, but of weight, light and weightless, not subject to gravity.

When an event happens, and you make your choice, Destiny reevaluates if you made an unpredictable choice, and re-determines your future.

If you made a bad financial choice, Greed and Wrath will grow with regret. If you made a good choice and made a lot of money, Pride takes over, which may give rise to more Envy of others. As your taste of success propels you to recognition, you may become jealous and envious of other people who get recognition as your desire for more grows, having tasted it.

With every decision you make, good or bad, one or more of the powers will rise or diminish in you, and with that, Destiny will turn your life in another direction.

By watching out for the Seven powers that control us, as the events of the day happen, being aware as those emotions and feelings arise in your mind, and choosing to act in a positive way, more humble or honest, supportive way, you can turn your destiny in yet a different direction.

You have the power to control your destiny in this way. The immediate outcome may not be what you want, it may not be good in the sense of your financial or love life, but Destiny is a plan for the rest of your life, until you change it again, so the immediate events are virtually irrelevant.

This is what you must keep in mind with every word and action, especially with the big things that go wrong, by seeing what direction they are taking you, to the seven powers or to the light and overcoming their negative manipulations.

Everyone knows that you do not take any material possessions when you die, but you do take your character. At your funeral, the number of people who mourn your death will be in proportion to your character, not your wealth if that was acquired by an asshole character. Instead of burying you with your gold and property, they will just write you a check to take with you to the grave.

Always remember that in the face of disaster, Destiny will make a new plan for your life based on your reaction. Bitter regrets and a desire for revenge or becoming depressed and hopeless will make one plan, but accepting the situation of your life as it is at that moment, as if you are just born that day with no past, facing it with courage and strength, will force Destiny to give you new ideas and creativity, new opportunities to rebuild, start over and become a better person.

You are master of your Destiny, like it or not, believe it or not. You can test the truth of this statement if you simply recall the past big events in your life, how you reacted and how that effected you for days or months after, and how that reaction determined your following actions. Did you push people away with negativity and anger, or did you inspire people with your courage and ability to dust yourself off and start again.

Just think about your past, and learn about people who have failed, or succeeded, and learn from their reactions, was it strength of character or did it build a massive ego.

Now you can decided, are you going to control your destiny from today onwards and defy gravity, let your essence rise up, or let gravity bring you emotionally down, with your life like a leaf blowing in the wind, letting the wind of destiny take you where it and the seven powers want you to go.

Overcoming Analysis Paralysis in 6 Simple Steps

Analysis paralysis is a term that seems to be increasing in popularity. And it's a term with which many non-fidents, whether they've come across it or not, will be all too familiar.

Basically, analysis paralysis means over-thinking and over-analyzing one's options until they all seem equally good, bad, or anywhere in-between. And so one is left unable to make a choice and move on.

The expression allegedly stems from 'paralysis by analysis', which should be seen as the opposite of 'extinct by instinct'. The latter, of course, meaning a disastrous choice based on reflexes or one's immediate gut feeling.

Making choices can be hard when we're low on confidence and self-esteem. It should come as no surprise that confident people tend to have a can-do mentality. They're effective, energetic, and they take firm, consistent action.

And, of course, non-fident people tend to be the exact opposite: Timid, apprehensive, and reticent.

Certain studies could be said to point towards non-fident people generally having higher brain activity.* However, others point towards the exact opposite.

The basis for analysis paralysis, then, must be found in the one emotion by which non-fident people tend to let themselves be guided...

Fear.

Fear is one of the most common human motivators. And it doesn't only apply to non-fident people. We're all afraid of something, and only the fewest of us dare defy our instincts and seek out the source of our fear. Because instincts are exactly what's at play here. In other words: We can't really help it.

... But that doesn't mean we can't learn to get around it. And in the case of analysis paralysis, here's 6 simple steps not only taking that damn decision, but standing by it and making sure you keep moving forward.

#1 Get outside perspective

When we've been stuck with a problem for a certain amount of time, we tend to reach a point of saturation. It's not funny or interesting anymore, and we just want to move on. Enough is enough already.

In one such forest-for-the-trees situation, as it were, outside perspective often does the trick. Different people have different perspectives and ideas, and we can only analyze so deep on our own.

Consulting someone who has a certain amount of experience regarding the matter may be preferable. But if you're stuck, any input is better than nothing. And in certain cases, a total outside stranger to the topic might actually provide a less biased, less predisposed angle on your situation.

#2 Eyes on the prize

Whatever you do, working towards a meaningful goal is a powerful motivator. - One that is all too unfamiliar for most non-fident people. If you have a clearly defined goal, the easier it is to take action. And the more clearly defined your goal is, the easier it'll be knowing exactly what to do.

But whether or not you have one such goal, ask yourself things like, "Will this choice bring me closer to where I want to be in life?" "Does this choice align with my values and my identity?" "In one year, will I be happy I made this choice?"

#3 Set a deadline

Something that gives analysis paralysis so treacherously favorable conditions is when time isn't really an issue. If it has no consequence to us whether we do or decide something within a certain time frame, it's so much easier to give it second priority than deal with it. Which makes perfect sense.

On way of getting around this in casu analysis paralysis is to decide on a deadline. And, of course, treat it like any deadline that you wouldn't want to miss.

Imagine having to explain to your boss why you didn't make it. Or much better, make a bet with a friend or acquaintance. - If you don't keep your deadline, you owe them $100. (Optionally, use the person who provided the outside perspective!)

The deadline should depend on the magnitude of your decision. The smaller the decision, the closer the deadline. But in any case, make it close enough to motivate yourself to get busy!

#4 Take baby steps

What often seems scary about making decisions for non-fidents is the element of commitment. We tend to be somewhat afraid of losing control; of letting the choice "take over", and "invade" our life and identity.

This is the aforementioned fear talking. And it's actually possible to shut that fear up just enough to get going - by taking action on a minimal basis.

We should feel that we're making progress. - Because otherwise, we're probably not. We should still be hearing the faint whispers of our fear. But if we take baby steps instead of hurling ourselves head first out into a new direction in life, a mere whisper is exactly what it will be.

#5 Support and honor your choice

Whatever you choose to do, you will have a reason for doing so. Even if it's a result of tossing a coin. Your final choice would not have been an option if it hadn't had any value or benefit to you. So focus on these values and benefits.

Furthermore, prepare for what people might say. Try to entertain any possible objections people might have beforehand. Tell them about why this is important to you; about what you're trying to accomplish. And, if nothing else, tell them that you simply needed to make a decision and get on with it.

#6 Remember: You can always go back

I know: This one might seem a little counterproductive, seeing as how this is about moving onwards and not looking back. But many non-fident people will find comfort in remembering that any choice isn't final.

Unless you've quite literally jumped from somewhere high (for whatever reason), most choices are fairly easy to undo.

This doesn't mean you shouldn't honor your choice or put your back into making it work. You totally should, because that's a just cool mindset to nurture. But if you find you're clearly headed down a totally wrong path in your life, there's nothing wrong with turning around and going another direction.

Whenever you find yourself struck by analysis paralysis, just remember: It's better to make a mistake and learn from it than not do anything at all.

The Real Truth About the Darkness in Your Mind

Silhouette of Woman on Swing during Golden Hour

The Law of Attraction simply means that like attracts like. It is a primary force of the universe that holds everything together - solar systems, galaxies, sub-atomic particles and yes, thoughts. It is for this reason that your thoughts are SO important to the quality of your life. The frequency of your thoughts are broadcast out to the universe and attract back to you that which is on a similar frequency. And you thought they were only in your head, right? This mechanism can largely explain why your life is where it is and why other peoples lives are where they are as well. THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONATE TO THE QUALITY OF YOUR THOUGHTS.

In my own personal spiritual journey, I have learned from direct experience that this truth is unwavering. We tend to go through life believing that we are not in control of our thoughts. That circumstance and events direct our thinking. That is true enough but ONLY if we either are not aware that it needn't be that way or if we CHOOSE for it to be that way. The truth is, WE are in control of our thoughts as long as we are willing to actually be aware and MAKE a choice. When you choose to take your mind off auto-pilot and grab the wheel, things change - FAST.

The key to this is how we communicate with ourselves. In every situation that arises we have the choice to either jump head first into "woe is me" victim mentality, blaming, fault finding and anger, OR to take the path of our higher selves, our soul, and ask the simple question, "what is this event trying to teach me? What is the lesson I need to learn here?" Negativity will accomplish two things immediately. One - It will blind you to the lesson that drew the event to you in the first place thus condemning you to have to go through the same thing repeatedly until you "get it." Two - the negative thought form will attract more negative thoughts, people and events to you. There is no exception.

So the choice the really is a no brainer. Stay positive in the face of adversity, look for the lesson to be learned, learn it, be grateful for it and move on. You are NOT at the mercy of your reactionary emotions unless you choose to be. Take the wheel of the ship, steer away from the negative waters that will only attract more misery and the changes in your life will be swift and sure. Happiness truly is a choice.

Developing a Vision for Your Life

Here are 9 inspiring tips on how to develop a vision for your future:

1. Allow some time in your schedule to do nothing but reflect on your life. Having time to ponder how far you've come and where you're headed is integral to proceeding to develop your life vision.

2. Open your mind. Surveying your life so far might be a rather daunting process. You have to acknowledge fully what's happened to you and determine whether you're on the track you want to be on at this time.

• This process might be a challenge, but the end result could produce one amazing life that's tailor-made for you.

3. Feel free to jot down some notes. Think about what you've accomplished thus far in your journey. What goals have you established? Write them out. Doing so will cultivate more thoughts of what you've experienced in life and why. Are you still working toward those goals? Why or why not?

4. Be honest with yourself about any choices you've made that were diversions. When did you make a choice that prevented you from continuing with your plans at the time?

• Looking back now, what do you see as your biggest mistakes?

• Did some of those choices turn out to be wise? Why? Did they lead you down a path that you now see as more in tune with what you really want?

5. Set goals now. Make a new list of your current goals and wishes for the future.

• Maybe you want a promotion at work. What has to happen in order for it to occur? Create the mini-goals necessary to help you meet your main goal of getting that promotion. Leave nothing out. For example, if you need to complete two college classes, include those as goals.

• Check off each smaller goal you accomplish as you work toward the larger, overall goal. It will feel great when you do.

6. Post your life aspirations where you can see them. Put them on your mirror, refrigerator, Smartphone, electronic pad, and bulletin board. Put a copy by your favorite chair in the living room where you can re-read them often. In short, ensure your vision is right in front of you much of the time.

7. Create a vision board. Use photos from magazines and write inspiring words related to the photos you choose to place on your board. Your vision board is a graphic reminder of what you're working toward every day.

8. Decide whether you're living in "the right place." Does your current home location meet your employment, personal, and financial needs? Is it possible to achieve your goals there? If not, consider your options.

• Are you willing to move away? If so, include on your goal list everything you must do to get ready to move.

9. Make your life vision a priority. In order to live out the vision you've developed, you must keep your vision at the top of your priorities. When making decisions in the future, consider options that will support your life vision.

Developing your life vision will take time, reflection, and work, but the rewards will be great. Your life will be filled with passion and optimism once you develop your vision. Why wait? Start creating your vision today!

The Art of Problem Solving in Ten Easy Steps

It takes only a minute of watching the news or listening to our Presidential Candidates vie for our votes, to become astutely aware that problems exist all around us. We are faced with them on large and small scales, at home, work, in our communities and in our world. Basically the bad news is... we cannot escape problems. Not such an uplifting message huh? But, here is what we can do; we can learn to solve them, both big and small, by approaching them with the right attitude.

This ten-step process is guaranteed to produce results. Remember to have fun and brainstorm each stage to construct a dynamic list of best possible outcomes!

Break it Down

Often times when we pause long enough, we can see that problems, like most things, can be broken down into smaller parts than the whole. All problems are structured around two common characteristics: desirable outcomes and obstacles or barriers.

Change the Lens

The "p" word alone makes a negative impression on those who encounter it, yet, what do we know about looking at something through the lens of negativity? A growing body of research suggests by changing our language about the problem we can actually change our thoughts and behaviors.

For instance, refer to the "problem" as a "challenge" or even an "opportunity," using language like this often encourages us to approach the notorious "p" word from an angle of creativity.

Define the Problem Clearly

This is oftentimes an overlooked step in the problem solving process. In order to fully understand the challenge, we need to take the time to understand everyone's perception or experience of the problem. Every team member or person who comes in contact with the problem may experience it differently. Therefore, before we can begin to comprehend the situation we need to realize how far reaching it is and the impact it has on everyone.

Use Critical Thinking Skills

Critical thinking skills are very important to problem solving, yet, research has pointed to a decline in critical thinking skills over the past decade. With information so readily available on our digital devices, we can fall victim to allowing our phones, computers and I-Pads to do our thinking for us rather than engage that part of our brain.

Symptoms of the problem are just that... don't allow yourself to be caught up in the "weeds" of symptoms associated with the problem either, instead, look for the root cause or causes.

Define the Ideal

So, what is the "ideal" solution to the problem? What must the solution accomplish or take care of to be considered a great solution? If you have engaged this process methodically, this should be a relatively easy step as you will have determined the parameters of the problem and the problem will have been defined through the examination of critical thinking with all angles thoroughly explored. Therefore, by the time you arrive at this step, you will be able to recognize the "ideal" solution or solutions.

Determine the Obstacles

This is yet another step in the problem solving process I often times see overlooked. Obstacles have to be considered.

By allowing time to take each identified solution and "brainstorm" through all the worst case scenarios, we are literally fire testing our solution and making sure it can hold up under pressure. This process is critical and will save a huge amount of time and effort in the end.

Make a Choice

The question to ask yourself here is, given your understanding and definition of the problem, what provides the best possible solution at the "current time" under the "present circumstances?" The reason the preceding words are bolded here is to call attention to the fact that solutions may change over time and be rendered ineffective based on a new set of circumstances. For this reason, it is always good form as a leader to continually monitor and evaluate processes to assure optimal levels of performance.

Set Deadlines

All of the preceding steps are rendered useless and ineffective if time is not taken to formulate a plan and set "by when" times for completion of processes.

Once a solution has been selected, implementation rests on identifying what needs to done, by when and by whom. Setting a series of short-term deadlines and developing a schedule for reporting helps the project stay focused and on track.

Measure Outcomes

An ongoing assessment process is crucial. Steer away from becoming attached to a solution as it may need to be tweaked or completely overhauled based on the results it is producing.

Action Everyone

The short answer here is... MOVE. Get going and create some momentum. Momentum generates the energy to produce your desired outcome. The two key words here are, be "consistent" and "persistent." And, if at any given time you run into an unidentified obstacle, pause long enough to reevaluate your solution to make sure you are on the right track.

Destiny by Design or Default... the choice is yours!

Message From the Universe: Where Opportunities Knock More Than ONCE in Your Lifetime

"Never compromise a dream.

Do what you must. The fears, beasts, and mountains before you are part of the plan; stepping-stones to a promised land; to a time and place that is so much closer than even you suspect.

Don't let your eyes deceive, for even as you read these words, your ship swiftly approaches.

Tallyho,
The Universe"

Do not be fooled by these sales people telling you that THIS is an opportunity of a lifetime and that NOTHING like this will ever come again. Yeah Yeah Yeah, heard that one before. Opportunities do NOT come and knock on YOUR door, YOU go knock on them. You have the right to knock on as many doors as you want, make a choice to which door seems the most beneficial to you, and once you have chosen that knock, make sure to knock it down hard. Yes, your knuckles might hurt a little, but that shouldn't stop you from getting what you want in life. Once you've knock down the door, if nothing inside seems appealing to you, you shouldn't get disappointed or depressed. Plenty more doors out there are waiting for your knocking. As many dreams and goals that may cross your mind on a daily basis, you will have the same amount of doors waiting for you to go through. Do not let the fear of the unknown stops you from moving forward. No one really knows what is behind that door, but since you created that path that lead you to that door, you feel pretty confident that your destination will be as magical as the journey. If not, then so be it. Another better destination is available through another door.

We are all familiar with the complexities and hurdles life has to offer, and there is nothing really we can do about it. Some can dodge bullets like Neo from the Movie the "Matrix", and do that all through their lives but others will eventually get hit and it will hurt bad. However, those who get hit will manage to get up and heal their wounds and move forward and still succeed. So who has more merit? The one dodging every bullets or the one getting hit, heal and move on? I guess it all depends on many external conditions that you are experiencing at this moment. Some would love to have that capability of dodging every bullet life throws at them because of them having to deal with so many challenges day in and day out, while others would prefer getting hit by the bullets so they can experience that pain and give them more tools for their life ahead, allowing them to built immunity and learn from valuable mistakes. The choice is yours. No one else out there can see life the way YOU see it. Never compare yourself to anyone, especially when it comes to using your weaknesses against their strengths. You will lose every time. Stay wise my friends!

The Seared Conscience Understanding Karma

Image result for choices

That small inner voice we hear reminding us why we should not make a choice to do something that is wrong or harmful to another is emanating from within us, from a part that is accompanying us on the journey of life. It is never really separated from us yet many attempt to silence it, to disconnect it from their daily lives. It is a little like hanging up the phone on an annoying caller. The more times we are willing to look away, to do nothing when something is required or choose to ignore the voice and do something we know will harm others, the greater the scar on our conscience becomes. It is seared when there is a total separation in our consciousness from that higher part of ourselves.

Karma is frequently used to remind us to follow the golden rule, 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' The presumption being that karma will get you if you don't. Karma is energy, our own energy. Its range spans from light and clear to dark and murky. Just like our conscience. It carries the energy of our choices in life. It has no attachment to what that energy may generate. It does exactly what it was designed to do; carry the energy until it is time to meet it and rejoin it. Thus, you 'reap what you sow or meet your karma.' It is not vindictive. When difficult things come by way of a karmic debt it is simply delivering the results of the energy expended when it was activated. It is the bearer of the energy of cause and effect or action and reaction. Likewise, when unexpected events occur that bring great joy in our lives it is delivering the results of light filled energy.

It is delusional to imagine that you can 'shake it off' or ignore the energy that surrounds you. You created it through your choices; it accompanies you throughout life. Sometimes the delivery comes in small doses, other times it brings a major event. It arrives with the same intensity it was created in. If your past choices have been filled with darkness, bitterness, anger or hatred you are better served to run to meet the energy or karma. You do this by replacing harm filled events with kindness and empathy towards the affected party. If your karma is filled with light you have been steadily paying it forward and have learned that unexpected kindnesses are a part of life.

So many times we are counseled to 'make good choices.' Rarely does anyone tell us what is going on behind the scenes when we are making them. It is this very energy that is coming to life, emanating around our own life force and will stay until it is resolved, either way. That inner voice is not attempting to control us. It is reminding us that the road will be broken and bumpy with one choice and smooth and easy with the other. It attempts to level the path of life. Still, there is that still small give we are all endowed with at birth, a gift from the Creator called choice. The inner guidance is the wrapping on that powerful gift. To separate it from ourselves is to fall into the darkness derived from a seared conscience. Not in the end, but throughout life, it really is about choice.

How to Trust the Universe More

Have you been cheated at various points in your life? It's time to remove your belief about not trusting enough. On the other hand, too much of it will lead you to trouble and deceit while on the flip of the coin, it will lead you to have a friendless, lonely life. In short be more trusting. Read on for highlights.

Here are a few scenarios:

1) You find difficulty completing your project during higher studies. What do you do? Ask people's help and work hard to the best of your ability. Leave the rest to the Universe and be more trusting. Everything will fall together.

2) Sometimes things are absolutely not within your control. A car from behind may hit your car accidentally. Whatever the damage, don't be intimidated to drive again on the highway. Just trust the Universe.

3) You are having constant squabbles with your spouse. You know she is seeing someone else. Let her file the divorce. Who knows she may change her mind at the last minute. In this case too, be more trusting.

4) Your children have grown and are in primary school. They constantly fight with each other. Let them know they are doing themselves enough harm. They need to work and play together decently. They may have listened for a while but return to their old habits again. You are in a fix what to do. Just trust the universe again that your children will soon learn to cooperate.

5) Your parent has been hospitalized. You are afraid she may pass away. Again, be trusting and know that everything happens for the very best. Take good care of her. Maybe she will recover fully or maybe she won't. Accept the truth - good or bad and move on.

6) At some point in your career, life is throwing snowballs at you. Make a choice. Either bear with it or start an online business, working from home. Just do whatever your gut instinct says and be more trusting.

7) You are worried sick about the possibility of a pay rise. It would benefit you a lot in running your family well. Well, start believing in yourself that you have performed your duties punctually, dedicatedly and committedly. Just trust the universe and chances are you will get that raise.

Summing up, those are some of the scenarios where being more trusting helps. You may come up with more ideas. Just add them to this list of scenarios. And if one or more of them turn out to be true in your case, always remember to tie your camel tight but at the same time, trust God enough.

Quick Ways to Manage Time for Family

Did you know that till the 16th century the word family was used only to represent the household servants? It was only after 1667 that the word family was used to refer to those in blood relations, especially the parents and their offspring. And, we are talking about family in this context in the following article.

It seems that the more sentimental the meaning of the word has become the more difficult it has become, in the modern life, to keep up with the expectations of being a family member. Are you someone facing a difficulty in being there for the family? Then here are a few tips for you.

Make a Choice

The most important thing you need to do is to make a choice between your family and the other thing. You cannot be at two places in one time and so it is you who has to decide where to show up.

You can either spend an entire evening with your friends or deviding the same time between your family and friends. I have a friend who is a physiotherapist. Due to his paramedic profession he has little time left for socializing, let alone any time for himself. Yet, when I talk to him he does share how he went to a movie with his parents and then how much fun he had during beer party at a friend`s house.

When I asked him how he manages to maintain the balance and he said that multitasks. He may hang around with friends but do shopping being in a mall and if he has to relax at home he did rather take his parents out.

Spare the Weekend

Keep one day of the weekend exclusively for the family and let your friends know about it so no one makes any such plan for which you have to say no and feel guilty later on for not going.

Most people suggest that things pick up by weekend afternoons and family members plan to go out by the evening. So, in case you need to meet your friends or got something important to do then get it done before noon.

A Meal Together

This is one of the best ways to catch up with your parents, siblings or children. You may either volunteer to cook with the gang or chit-chat; your wish. Nothing brings people more close than sitting down together and having food.

Take a Walk

If any of your family members walks to work or school/collage (you are lucky if your roads to work/school are the same), then you should try walking with them more often.

Even otherwise, a nice walk after dinner or on mornings of holidays is a nice way to re-connect.

Remember Special Occasions

Be there for the birthday celebrations and anniversaries. If you think you owe something to one of the members in your family then these special occasions are just the time to make them feel special.

Take advantage of the occasion and do something special for them that you have not done for them in a while. It could mean getting them something that they have been asking for since long or just spend time with them.

Make use of Technology

The fact that the world has become a global village should be taken an advantage of in favor of your family. Keep connected through emails, text messages and phone calls. When the whole world is a click away why should there be any distance from the family.
