Understanding the Art of Stress Management

close up photography man eating lemon

Most people in the world experience stress at different stages of their lives. Stress arises due to such circumstances or situations which are perceived as obstacles by an individual. The belief of inability to cope with such obstacles leads to stress. Stress may be big or small depending upon the situation and how people perceive it. It can be classified according to the level of difficulty to tackle and the level of anxiety it produces in the particular individual facing it. Some people may feel helpless and hopeless in these types of stressful situations while there are others too, who learn the art of understanding situations and ways to manage stress.

The first thing one should think while in a stressful situation is the primary or actual reason behind the stress. Often there are surrounding similar obstacles which contribute to stress but it is important to find and focus on the main cause. Simplification and solution to this primary cause of stress can eventually release the stress and the other smaller contributing factors become easy to take care of. Once the chief stress causing reason is clear, the next task is to think of the immense amounts of pressures and stress which people are facing around the world. There are conditions where even simple livelihood becomes difficult. If one compares his reason for stress to such conditions, some amount of stress is sure to decrease in the initial step itself. The next step is to tell oneself that "you are NOT alone!", because as someone thinks of the stress other people are facing, one should also think that nobody is facing a particular type of problem situation alone in this world. There are thousands of people who face similar stress causing issues. Finally the self-motivational part of thinking that if people with even lesser resources are confronting their stress, then it is surely possible for others too. Resources may include trustworthy people around us, things which can motivate us and things which can actually solve our problem.

Another reason to feel stress-free is the fact that nature does not differentiate between individuals. For example, usually when the sun shines, it provides heat and light energy to a particular region impartially, equal for all the individuals. People should learn to make use of the available resources positively so as to resolve their obstacles in the simplest of possible ways without causing much stress or anxiety. When such stress causing obstacles are resolved, an individual not only feels relaxed and free but also becomes experienced and mentally strong, to face such tough situations in the future. It becomes particularly important here, that not only should an individual seek help from close friends and relatives when in stressful situations, but should also share his experiences with them when one resolves these issues successfully. This can motivate them to clear their obstacles with patience and strength.

The world is full of various types of anxieties and stressors. It is the choice an individual has to make whether to think positive or negative about a situation. Stress can be in any smallest of things we try to do and there can be no stress in doing the biggest of things in life. It entirely depends on individual attitude, self-motivation and the use of available resources. There is a need to understand the art of managing stress with a positive approach of mind.

Self-Motivation - The Need of the Time

Imagine.

You are standing on a podium, first time ever in your life facing a massive audience. Thousands of eyes are staring at you and you are in the dilemma, "How to speak?" Several things clutter your mind; you feel you want to deliver your message but are not able to organise words to say it aloud. You are having butterflies in the stomach. And your mind is yelling at you "You can't speak, you just can't." Your hands and legs are shivering but you are trying to hide all your emotions. Even in an air-conditioned room, you are feeling hot within and a look at the audience sends a shiver down the spine.

This is you, me and each one of us. Life is a podium where daily challenges are thrown on us-whether we like it or not-just like competitions. You may opt out of few but can't restrain all of them. Life will give you dare and you have to take it, by any means. You will have goosebumps, increasing anxiety and a fast-beating heart. You may feel "leave me alone" when directionless but the harsh fact is, it happens and it happens with each one of us.

I can't offer you solutions for your problems but I can definitely give you 5 tips that will give you the strength to face them. Believe me, it works!

1. The "I can" mantra

Thousands of books claim "If you believe I can, it will work."

And the honest part is 'I can'. Just a firm 'yes' within can push your anxiety down and calm your senses. These are the physical sensations that the body confronts on facing a challenge. Give yourself time, believe things will be fine. Don't be diffident just because things are not working out the way you wanted them to.

2. A positive vibe "Om"

Rapid thoughts book a special place in mind when you are facing anxiety. The mind tends to do negative talks ultimately breeding fears. All that you fear won't be true. It's your mind that makes you believe it. To deal with this, take a deep breath and just say "Om" (thousands of scientific research has proved Om has innumerable positive vibes) and feel that you are keeping the negative energies aside too along with it. You may use other words too but you need to have faith in them. Nothing works without hope, not even the Mother Earth.

3. Positive stories

Listening to a positive real-life story, reading stories online, and sharing your experience with friends and family will boost your confidence to face the problem. Miracles don't happen overnight, but they do happen if you have the positive energy within to believe in them. Try it, you will feel good.

4. Your magical diary

Make a habit of jotting down all those life events -whenever you feel life is tough and you passed the hard times with flying colours- in a diary. I call it "magical diary". Read through them when you feel down or negative, this will really pull you out from the quicksand.

5. Gratitude

When facing hard times, it feels impossible to express gratitude in life. Such times will make you feel "What should I be thankful for?" Well, take a seat, look back and think "Are your problems bigger than the small precious gifts you receive from life almost daily? - someone's smile, blessings, the ability to walk, talk, think, and many more".

Count on your blessings, the negative emotions within will start fading soon.

Miracles don't happen overnight, so practice these steps daily. You will notice the difference in your attitude down the line.

Life is easy and difficult. A paradox, right!
Life seems easy in happy times but when the high tides are crossing the sea limit, it is time to execute your strength to make life at ease.
5 Tips and find out the difference.

Forget Excuses - Remember Self Motivation

The internet is a wonderful thing and since its introduction to the world it has created an abundance of money making opportunities for anyone looking to make an income from home.

A lot of individuals who have gone on to make substantial incomes from online businesses started with zero or limited knowledge of how to do so.

Today more than ever there are a good number of internet entrepreneurs and businesses offering genuine online business opportunities.

So with all these opportunities available why do only a handful of people succeed while the majority either give up or just move from opportunity to opportunity without ever getting close to success?

The reason most people fail is down to personal development, the need to identify and set goals, then be able to systemically carry them through to conclusion.

Add to this the ability to keep yourself motivated when things don't always go the way you planned and you find a cocktail of characteristics that the majority of us have to work hard to maintain.

Everyday when you wake, you have a very important choice to make...

You have to choose what to do with your time and the choice you make will determine whether by the end of the day you will be closer to where you want, or at the same point you where when you woke up that morning.

Too many people say they want to change their lives for the better, some even set goals and maybe have a small idea of what they need to do, but sadly the choice they make when they wake in the morning is the same one they have been making every day up to that point...

The point is your life will not change unless you take action...

None of your goals will be achieved unless you do something about them...

When I speak to people, I hear all kinds of excuses but the most common one by far is,..

I don't have the time!

I don't have the time... these five little words are by far the favourite excuse for many people to hide behind.

However, when I dig a little deeper and start asking some questions, I find that in the majority of cases a little lifestyle change here and there and a small sacrifice or two can free up the valuable hours you need to start making a difference to your lives.

It may come as no surprise that one of the biggest consumers of our time is television,

Latest stats tell us that the average Brit watches 24 hours of TV a week and the average American 30 hours a week!

24-30 hours A WEEK!

That's almost a full time job, even if you reduced your time watching TV by half that would free up 15 hours a week that could be better spent working on your goals and ambitions.

It's not just TV either plenty of time is wasted away on other activities, things like spending hours at the mall, going to pubs and bars, going to ball games/events, playing video games, reading newspapers/magazines, social media, procrastinating, browsing the internet for nothing in particular the list goes on.

None of the things on this list are vital to our everyday lives yet so many people are unwilling to give them up, even though they say they want to change their lives and their circumstances.

I'm not saying cut everything you enjoy out of your life...

I'm just saying if you really do want to make changes sometimes you have to make short term sacrifices in order to manage your time better and maybe even (for now) stop doing some of the things you would normally do in order to free up the time you need to make long term gains.

So lets assume you have decided to make some changes and you have managed to free up some extra hours during the week.

What do you do next?

After all you have just potentially given something up you really enjoy, something you have been doing for years.

How are you supposed to keep yourself moving forward and not revert back to the comfortable, TV watching procrastinator you were before we decided to make these changes?

Well the one thing you must have if you want to succeed is a daily shot of motivation, this is essential because if you are not motivated then it is very easy to slide back into the rut you have just pulled yourself out of.

It is especially important at the start that you get this daily shot until you build up the belief that what you are doing is working, until you can see everyday that you are getting closer to your goal and until the motivation comes without you having to search for it.

When you get to that point you will have a drive and determination that will be burning so deep inside you that you will not be able to ignore it, it will get to the stage where any obstacle that is put in your way will just be taken in your stride and you will feel like nothing can stop you from achieving what you set out to do.

So how do you get to that point? what do you need to do?

The first thing is have your goals written out in as much detail as possible and read these goals every morning as you wake and every evening before you retire, this will remind you of why you are making these changes to your life and instil some of the motivation you need to keep going.

The second thing is to make a mood board - A mood board is a visual representation of where you want to be in your life and is usually made up of images and text representing your ambitions and goals.

As with your goals make sure you look at this everyday and imagine yourself in as much detail as possible living the life your goals and mood board show.

The final thing is a daily affirmation, this is something you need to do by yourself.

Put aside 10 minutes during the day, turn off your mobile phone, the radio and the TV find yourself a quiet spot in a dimly lit or darkened room, sit down in a comfortable chair and relax.

Next repeat the following to yourself:

"I awake everyday feeling an insatiable drive and determination to succeed, I find it easy to motivate myself and I look forward with excitement to the things I will achieve during the coming day."

Close your eyes and clear your mind of any distracting thoughts, don't try to think of anything just let yourself relax for a minute or two, relax your body and let the tension drain away from your muscles.

It is not easy to do this at first so you may find it easier to concentrate on each individual body part, starting at your toes and working up until your whole body is relaxed.

With practice you will find this comes easier until you can almost do it without thinking.

Next start to count slowly in your head until you reach 20. When you do you should feel totally relaxed, almost trance-like. If any other distracting thoughts should pop into your head as you count, don't worry, clear your mind and start over.

When you are in this relaxed state concentrate on the statement you have just read, don't worry about knowing it all off by heart just repeat the key words to yourself.

Slowly return to your fully conscious state thinking as you do that you are feeling more relaxed more alert and more motivated than you were before.

The subconscious mind is a powerful thing and the whole point of this exercise is to instil these thoughts into your subconscious mind until they are accepted as fact and in doing so will become second nature to you.

You will notice that if you repeat this exercise on a regular daily basis you will start to see the results in no time at all. You will probably find that at first it is hard to get to the right level of deep relaxation but once you do start to master this consistently then the speed with which you achieve your desired effect will increase.

5 Reasons Why You've Lost Your Motivation

We all lose our focus from time to time, even on important things. Motivation is the same way. Because of your busy life or other factors, your burning desire to reach a certain goal or achieve a desired result can slip away. Be aware of the following 6 reasons that may cause you to lose your motivation on the way to success.

1 - You experienced a drastic lifestyle change.

Stress, health problems, the birth of a new baby - these are all major lifestyle events. No matter how dedicated and motivated you are, life sometimes gets in the way of you achieving your dreams and desires. To be successful at any major achievement, you're going to have to negotiate speed bumps along the way. This includes any major lifestyle changes you may experience.

2 - You are not seeing results fast enough.

Some people get so fired up and motivated that they expect to see results immediately. However, some endeavors require time before significant improvement is realized. One way to keep from losing motivation if you don't believe you are seeing results quickly is to break down your major goal into smaller chunks. When you see small victories occurring, it gives you the motivation to keep moving towards your major goal.

3 - You have lost focus.

Focus is required for any major achievement. Focus is also a huge part of motivation. When you are laser focused on a desired result, nothing stands in your way. Unfortunately, many things can make you lose focus. Try to identify focus-roadblocks before they appear and you can always keep on track, and in the intended direction.

4 - Your original motivation came from an outside source, not from yourself.

Self-motivation is always found in any great achievement. If your motivation is provided by someone other than yourself, it is easy to find yourself putting your goal achievement on the back burner. Find some way to provide your own motivation for whatever it is you're trying to do. This usually means discovering the "Big Why" that is at the heart of your efforts.

5 - Your priorities have changed.

Sometimes a lack of motivation occurs when you have a change in priorities. This can sneak up on you, and is not always a conscious action. You may plan to pay off all of your credit cards by a certain date. You develop a schedule, take action, and are well on your way to making that happen. Then you lose your job or your vehicle breaks down. It is obviously okay to take care of these important priorities when they arise. Just don't put off getting back on track when you have the ability to do so.

How to Encourage and Coach Yourself

Working on your own is a great way to gain freedom and flexibility, but finding self-motivation can be one of the biggest road blocks. The key to succeeding as your own boss is that you have to act like a boss. Your boss is someone who gets you on the right track and keeps you going. Here are a few tips on how to be your own motivator.

Make goals
It's pretty hard to stay focused on work if all it is to you is work. To keep yourself motivated you have to have something to work towards. If you're starting to get yourself motivated, the first thing you need to do is set goals. It might be a business goal, a financial goal, or something you'll be able to do once you get your business going (like sending your kids to college). If you've been going for a while, remind yourself of what you started working for. And don't forget to write down your goals so you have them right there with you.

Don't forget
Once you set your goals, be sure to find a way to keep them in your mind. Keep a written statement of your goals somewhere you can see them often, or post pictures on the walls of your office of your family or things you want to do when you make the money. Anything that will remind you of what you're working for will help.

Get help
If just having goals isn't enough to keep you on track, why not try going to a professional. You don't have to spend all the money to hire a life coach. There are plenty of courses and systems available with methods to help keep you on track. The key is finding the right one. Why not find successful people you know and ask them to point you in the right direction.

Think positive
While positive thinking is a hard skill to master, it's one of the most beneficial things you'll ever learn. It can not only help you achieve your goals, you'll probably find yourself happier and more satisfied in your personal life as well. You can try things like positive affirmations or even Godward meditation (lectio divina).

Stay healthy
A healthy mind is fueled by a healthy body. You don't have to be a pro athlete, but if you eat a sensible diet and get regular exercise, you'll probably find yourself feeling better and working better too.

Take breaks
If you feel like you can't concentrate, take a break and get yourself back in focus. The same thing applies long term. If you're feeling burnt out and just can't get yourself going, why not take a few days off. You can go on a vacation, or just take a stay-cation and rediscover what's in your own back yard. Once you go back, you'll feel re-energized and ready to take on any challenge.

Proven Strategies That Decrease Distraction and Increase Self-Motivation

Image result for feeling motivated

WHY IS KEEPING YOURSELF MOTIVATED SUCH HARD WORK?

We live in a busy world with so many distractions, making it easier for us to get sidelined and lose track of what is important to us. We lose sight of what we want and what we should be doing. If there are a lot of distractions that keep you from doing what you need to be doing, then you need to make some changes.

WHAT DOES SELF-MOTIVATION MEAN?

Remez Sasson, founder and owner of Success Consciousness: Mental Tools for a Great Life, says the following about motivation:

"Motivation is the inner power that pushes you toward taking action toward achievement. Motivation is powered by desire and ambition; if these two principles are absent then motivation is absent too. You may want something or feel that you want to achieve a certain goal; however if the desire and ambition are not strong enough, you lack the push, the initiative, and the willingness to take the necessary action, your chances of success are limited because your motivation is weak. When there is motivation, there is initiative, direction, courage, energy, and the persistence to follow your goals."

KEEPING YOURSELF MOTIVATED:

Being motivated means that you are aligned with your goals and values so that you are clear on what is important to you and why it is important to you. This helps in maintaining discipline and focus. In order to do this successfully, take the time to determine those values and prioritize the ones that are most important to you.

Keeping yourself motivated means that you have a clear vision of how you and your life will be different once you achieve your goals. More importantly, you use the visualization to generate the powerful feelings associated with successfully achieving the goal. Developing this important skill will allow you to see yourself implementing those important action steps that you need to take in order to achieve your goal.

Rehearsing, preparation, breaking things down into smaller more manageable steps; becoming more organized, determining what is urgent and non-urgent, and what will become urgent if not addressed, will go a long way towards reducing distraction and embracing the hard work that is needed to get you where you want to go. Using the power of visualization with any one of these steps will keep you focused and enhance your self- motivation.

Keeping yourself motivated requires a high level of self-discipline, self-honesty and self-monitoring to deal with the distractions that can get in your way. In monitoring your thoughts, actions and behaviors you accept the fact that you alone are accountable and responsible for the outcome of your success.

Motivated people are able to do what needs to be done, without influence from other situations or people. They do not give up when challenged, as they are able to rely on their own strength, reason and resilience. Although you can certainly benefit from encouragement and support, at the end of the day your achievement of success will come down to your inner abilities. To be self-motivated means that there is no outside force or person pushing you to become what you want to. The locus of control is within you and not based on others.

MAKE THE EFFORT TO GET MOTIVATED:

Take the effort to make sure that you are completely absorbed and laser-focused in what you are doing by following these important principles:

  • Take care of your distractions - pay attention to what trips you up and gets in the way of you achieving success
  • Take the time to find ways to quiet the mind; slowing down and listening to the voice within goes a long way to helping you to know what is important
  • Mirror and copy role models. The fact is that success leaves clues and guidelines for you to follow. Implement and do what successful people do.

JUST A FEW SELF-MOTIVATION TIPS:

Here are a few tips to aid you in staying motivated:

1. Fill your mind with positive information, visual aids, pictures, words of encouragement and quotes; read, listen and view information that feeds your mind and helps you to stay focused on what you want to achieve.

2. Surround yourself with positive people and protect your vibrational energy. Stay away from energy vampires - those negative people who pull you down, drain your energy and deflate your spirit.

3. Pay attention to your self-talk. Ensure that your inner dialogue is positive, supportive, encouraging and stays connected to your wise mind

4. Cultivate laughter and play in your life. What you do with your down-time (scheduling down-time) is just as important as what you do when you are working towards your goals.

5. Hire a Coach or connect to a Mentor - someone who has achieved what you aspire to who can show you the steps to get what you want and where you want to go, as well as hold you accountable.

The whole concept of self-motivation and success lies within you. There is no external force and power that can MAKE you stay motivated. Motivation comes from within you and no one else. We all lose our ability to concentrate and focus from time to time; address those motivational slumps and eliminate the things that distract and take away your focus by making your self-motivation a priority. When your self-motivation is a priority you enhance your overall state of mental health and general sense of well-being. You become more self-sufficient and self-reliant, both of which go a long way to boost your confidence and enhance your self-esteem.

Dealing With Hurt (By a Psychologist)

How does one deal with sadness and negative thoughts?

As a Psychologist, I am continuously curious about this human phenomenon. I have felt it. And every time I do, I never fail to take notes from it. Thus, I have truly analyzed that this "sadness" has many forms and many sources. Also, the thousands of supportive researches provide some light on the matter.

We seemed to have been conditioned to believe that we need people to overcome our sadness. That it is almost impossible to be alone and at peace. That we need to be held by an external support. However, there is a huge difference between the above thought and reality.

Sadness, if defined at its best, is but a chemical reaction within ourselves. Emotionally though, it is more than just a mere feeling. However, there are ways to deal with it to eradicate its existence. Following are some basics that may help:

Practical attitude: Practical individuals have less difficulty coping with sadness. They are adept at forming logical explanations regarding varied situations. This ability relaxes their mind by suppressing anxiety of any kind. With a maintained self-confidence and a practical explanation of the events, they develop immunity towards the ill-effects of harmful emotions.

Accepting flaws: Peace comes with accepting one's entire self. Usually we accept our strengths easily and apologetically. But it's the flaws or mistakes that we have difficulty with. As much as we may know that we have them, we try to ignore them or keep them wrapped up. The more we stay in denial, the more fear of being exposed enters our minds. With this, we develop insecurities, jealousies and conflicts. Once we learn to accept ourselves the way we are and also love ourselves, there is immense peace and less scope for feelings of sadness.

Forgiveness: The more we hold on to grudges, the more we poison ourselves. And it's not just the grudges that we hold towards others. It is more about forgiving ourselves. We are so unable to love ourselves and in the end we find ourselves complaining about our own bodies and abilities. That is equal to hating ourselves. Thus, before we forgive others, we must also forgive ourselves of all the mistakes and regrets. It is absolutely necessary for us to be at peace with our own existence. Forgiving others releases the venomous toxicity that keeps suffocating us otherwise.

Self-motivation: While we are busy seeking for external factors to make us feel worthy, it is our own selves that must generate motivation. Will power, learning from mistakes and correcting regrets are important to an individual's wholesome personality.

Inner strength: The most vital factor to handling negative feelings is have internal strength. An individual has to have courage to face the situations rather than run from it. A person grows from his/her experiences and stressful situations make the person stronger. There has to be an absolute positive energy flowing within the individual's mind.

Silence: The power of silence is always underestimated. Too much conversation breeds unnecessary conflict. Also during arguments or debates, the presence of silence is important. One has to have a great deal of patience to listen before replying. An individual's strength can always be measured by the ability to be silent when provoked. When placed in a sad situation, a person only needs to be silent and meditate on the thoughts regarding the situation.

Harboring hope: As they say, the past is over but the future is yet to come, we must abide by this saying. Hope for the best in your life and it makes you a happy person. Hope gives us the strength to bear the burdens that are crushing us today. It is an abstract entity - this hope, but it is definitely a beautiful coping strategy.

Believing in oneself: Having faith in oneself is vital. To believe in the strength and ability of oneself to be able to stand your ground or achieve near impossible things should be a motto of your life. Confidence, success and happiness will follow the people who have faith in their own individuality.

Standing tall: Not the literal meaning of standing physically but standing your ground even in the midst of problems. It is definitely hard to battle feelings of sadness and negative thoughts, but it is not impossible. Like any other fight, there will be hurt and pain and also investment of energy. However, it will show you how strong you are and only contribute to your own strength.

Discipline: Having discipline in life is a must. Having discipline within your mind is equally important. There has to be a routine for you to engage in healthy thinking. You have to discipline your mind to only accept positive thoughts and vibes. Shutting out negativity and every toxic factor that would even intend to harm your mental health.

Above all, is the leading of a healthy life? Eating habits, sleep cycle, physical fitness and correct choices make an individual's life pleasant. The basic slogan for everyday life being "Less expectations equals to less disappointments... "

Self-Motivation Finding The Strength To Keep Going

Find The Strength To Keep Going

When it comes to self-motivation one thing you have to remember is not giving up when things are great. You don't have time for that. When you get to the top and when you feel the most successful, success in any area of your life, you finally have the nice car or that great job you can eventually start getting lazy.

Remember one thing, you can't be wasting your time doing that. You have to do everything you can to not lose your strategy, your self-motivation; and most of all always keep that burning desire bright all the time. You don't have time to loosen up or you'll fail.

You cannot stop.

One thing you have to constantly remind yourself is you cannot stop no matter what. It doesn't matter how great and successful you are; you cannot stop working on yourself. This is your golden rule to live by.

Even when you believe that you don't have any room for self-improvement you need more of it; there is room for getting better and stronger.

Self-motivation is constantly working on you. There's always room; there will always be more room for you. You are not born perfect and you never will. So you have to keep working.

You have to keep working on yourself; it's the only way. Do not fool yourself that you're done. Just because you achieved your goal. Oh no, no, no, no!

There is more to you that you can improve and must meet. You dived into this self-motivation journey for a reason. You want the best for you and your family. This is a process that will demand the most out of you.

You have chosen this life. There is no time for resting just now. You must work, ripe your fruits and enjoy the sweets later.

Don't Play Around

What I want you to get from this is you have no room to loosen up or get lazy. That is not you. This idea should never come across your mind. You are better than this. You're a person that is on a constant journey for self-motivation, self-improvement what ever it is you're working for.

You are a person who believes and deserves more, deserves better and wants to live greater. The only way you'll get better is by being the best that you can be inside and out, by constantly working on yourself.

As you keep growing in life remind yourself what you're aiming for; what it is that you're shooting for? This will help you keep growing in life and becoming a better person in life.

I am telling you this because I have seen successful people and as soon as they meet their goals they easily loosen up. Some have even lost everything because they have stopped doing what they're supposed to be doing.

They stop working on their bodies, their mind, their career. They felt it was okay to stop what they were doing that got them there in the first place. Overconfidence is deadly. You have to be careful with that.

They lost everything they have worked for. Even when you believe that you don't need to keep working on yourself you still have room to polish yourself a bit more.

You will never be as bright as you believe you are, but keep polishing. Do not stop.

Keep yourself healthy, strong, and most of all vigilant at all times because you will slip and fall and lose everything you have worked for.

You have to protect your dream, your desires, protect yourself from when you're at the top. You do not want to fall.

Help yourself get there. If no one else can help you get there faster then create a plan, maintain it and keep it next to you day in and day out.

Have your plan under your pillow and sleep on it so you can remind yourself that you have to keep working on yourself every day even when you're successful.

I know it's tiring, but you have to do it. You want to be successful, don't you? This is part of you, doing habits, creating rituals, it's your daily diet.

You have to look at your plan and work on it and work on it as if your life depended on it.

What ever it is that you desire most in life whether that be a job, material possession, wealth, a family; you cannot afford slacking off any day. This is not you and don't start now.

Always, I mean this, always keep working on yourself until you become so damn great that maintaining yourself at that level becomes easy.

The only enemy you will face is yourself when it comes to constant self-motivation. You have to keep fighting with yourself everyday and once you conquer yourself you will have a new you.

No one is your enemy, but yourself. Conquer your scared self and you'll win in the game of life.

How strong you get how smart you get depends all entirely to you. Learn to be strong, learn to be vigilant; when you see yourself slacking off.

Do not let your negative voice win, you are here in this earth to live a better life you deserve and you need to go get it.

Life will not walk up to you at your front door and hand it to you, unless you're born a billionaire but that is not you. Work for your dreams, work for your desires, but to get there; you have to work on yourself first. You first, desires second.

Last but not least, do all these things above and you'll achieve self-mastery of yourself and nothing in the world will stop you. You'll become a much happier person, peaceful and self-motivated.

Never give up on yourself even if you see very minimal results. Kick your own ass once in a while if you need that extra boost. You need it.

Dealing With Hurt

Practical attitude.
Practical individuals have less difficulty coping with sadness. They are adept at forming logical explanations regarding varied situations. This ability relaxes their mind by suppressing anxiety of any kind. With a maintained self-confidence and a practical explanation of the events, they develop immunity towards the ill-effects of harmful emotions.

Accepting flaws.
Peace comes with accepting one's entire self.

Forgiveness.
The more we hold on to grudges, the more we poison ourselves.

Self-motivation.
While we are busy seeking for external factors to make us feel worthy, it is our own selves that must generate motivation. Will power, learning from mistakes and correcting regrets are important to an individual's wholesome personality.

Inner strength.
The most vital factor to handling negative feelings is have internal strength. An individual has to have courage to face the situations rather than run from it. A person grows from his/her experiences and stressful situations make the person stronger. There has to be an absolute positive energy flowing within the individual's mind.

Silence.
The power of silence is always underestimated.

Harboring hope.
As they say, the past is over but the future is yet to come, we must abide by this saying. Hope for the best in your life and it makes you a happy person. Hope gives us the strength to bear the burdens that are crushing us today. It is an abstract entity - this hope, but it is definitely a beautiful coping strategy.

Believing in oneself.
Having faith in oneself is vital. To believe in the strength and ability of oneself to be able to stand your ground or achieve near impossible things should be a motto of your life. Confidence, success and happiness will follow the people who have faith in their own individuality.

Standing tall.
Not the literal meaning of standing physically but standing your ground even in the midst of problems. It is definitely hard to battle feelings of sadness and negative thoughts, but it is not impossible. Like any other fight, there will be hurt and pain and also investment of energy. However, it will show you how strong you are and only contribute to your own strength.

Discipline.
Having discipline in life is a must.

Goal-Setting It Forward

As you progress to move in forward motion, it's good to do so at the top of your year to help seize seal the success of it. Most of society has built the stigma of starting the year on a high note only to thwart it by small diversions. For what's easy to do is also easy not to do.

There is a mass of information on personal development and self-motivation out there, but the true fulfillment of it lays in what you can do for yourself, personally. Yes, the self-motivation and development move is very helpful to the building of man. Many lives have gone on to success because of it. But, what if you could build achievement for you? What if you could strategically take a step by step pattern and create the paramount of a successful year?

One of the ways that you can do this is by consciously concentrating your mind through goal-setting. Yes, I know that goals are predominantly talked about when it comes to building success. Goals are needed when it comes to success in any noteworthy endeavor, but conscientiously setting goals can help you to make the most of your year.

In a study there was a contrast between people who set goals vs. people who were told to "just do your best." Let's examine the mindset of both persons.

A person who is told "just do your best" can take a shallow approach to achieving anything that is worth accomplishing. To reach their target this person can develop a "by any means necessary" pattern of thinking. Strategy, how-to, or planned pursuit may not be factors considered. The mindset is, "I have a target to reach so it really doesn't matter how I reach it. As long as I just do my best is all that really matters." And this is a pattern of thinking that is displayed too in the workplace. It doesn't matter how we reach it as long as we do our best.

Now, let's look at the person who set goals to reach and accomplish what's necessary to hit their target in grand fashion. This person says in order for me to get from exhibit A to exhibit G there is going to have to be a plan for this. I need to design a step by step plan that will not only help me get to exhibit G, but to get there in a timely manner as quick and efficiently as possible.

So the person sets three goals for himself. Goal 1 is to shoulder up, hold head straight, lock my eyes on my target, and don't stop until I get there. Goal 2 is to not allow myself to get lackadaisical and be distracted by every trivial thing that comes across my path. Goal 3 is to stay focused on my end target - exhibit G.

Here are two people who will have two different attitudes about reaching their target. One will have a passive mind that says, "Yeah I have a target to reach, but as long as I do my best that's all that matters." The other one will have a determined mind that says, "I know I have this target to reach so if I set some goals and pace myself in a timely efficient manner I will succeed in reaching my target."

What about you and your goal-setting for a successful and productive year? Challenging goals lead you to a better performance level than passive, nonchalant ones. Goals that challenge you to go above and beyond yourself push you to progress and do what's necessary to see that you reach your target.

As you move forward in this year make goal-setting a tool that you archive in your arsenal for a great year-end achievement.

12 reasons people with Type A personalities are unstoppable

Personalities fit into one of two groups — Type A and Type B — it's one or the other.
Type A's typically are extremely motivated individuals with lofty goals and the internal fire to go after anything they desire.
Type B's are typically more laid back, lacking the same level of intense self-motivation that Type A's possesses; they also operate at a much lower stress level.
I'm a Type A personality myself and believe that that's been advantageous for building my company. I can remember my mother telling me, when I was very young, "You're such a Type A, just like your father — you need to learn how to calm down, or you're going to have a heart attack." As an adult, I've learned that Type A personalities are unstoppable, and I've learned the 12 reasons why:

1. Type A's make their career priority number one.

Making your career the number-one priority and focus in your life isn't necessarily the best choice when it comes to your personal life and relationships — social interaction can drop significantly low, for one thing, and dating can be a nightmare. Yet Type A's are still willing to sacrifice for the best interest of their business and related goals.

2. Type A's have a hard time shutting off work mode.

There is no denying that shutting down and getting away from your business is healthy, but very few Type A's can stay away from their projects. The truth is, they feel more comfortable working than relaxing.

3. Type A's love to use to-do lists.

Creating a to-do list allows you to attack your tasks one by one without having to stop and figure out what to do next. Over time, this saves an incredible amount of time. Type A's will create to-do lists for everything: As I type this, I have two to-do lists on the desk in front of me. One has work-related tasks and one has personal errands; lists are a habit I picked up at an early age from my father, who made lists for everything.

4. Type A's are always on time.

Type A's understand that time is the most valuable asset. They show up on time and expect others to do the same. A college professor said something to our class that I will never forget: "If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. If you're late, don't even bother, because it shows that you're a disrespectful a**hole."

5. Type A's don't waste time.

The thought of procrastination is mind-boggling to Type A's. There is no need to put something off that can be accomplished right now (they believe). Procrastination and putting off the inevitable causes issues down the line. If a task can be completed right away, you can be certain that a Type A will get it done as quickly as possible.

6. Type A's don't accept the notion that something 'can't be done.'

If something is physically possible, then Type A's are 100 percent confident that they can accomplish it. They have complete confidence in their ability to accomplish anything and everything that they set out to do.

7. Type A's are perfectionists.

Nothing irritates a Type A personality more than mistakes. They don't set out to be perfectionists -- they morph into them because anything less than perfect just isn't acceptable. That persistence allows them to reach their goals when most would have given up long ago.

8. Type A's are planners.

In order to reach a goal, you need a clearly defined plan to get from start to finish. While others might attempt to try to figure things out along the way, a Type A creates a solid plan that he or she follows religiously.

9. Type A's are great problem-solvers.

Part of the reason that Type A's are such great problem-solvers is that they fully believe in their ability, so much so that they are confident they can come up with a workable solution for any problem that might arise. This confidence allows them to think of a rational solution without becoming worked up and flustered.

10. Type A's are passionate.

When you are passionate about something, you find it a lot easier to go all-in and devote all your time and energy to that project. Type A's don't "half-ass" anything. Their passion allows them to work hard without feeling that their effort is "work."

11. Type A's are efficient.

Because of the reasons listed above — always on time, always perfectionists, never waste time, always planning, etc. — Type A's are extremely efficient. Getting as much accomplished in the shortest amount of time is the name of the game.

12. Type A's are focused.

When it comes time to getting something done, a Type A can give that something 100 percent focus, regardless of what else is going on in life. The ability to block out distractions and remain laser focused allows these creative individuals to not skip a beat.

Do These 7 Things to Get (and Stay) Motivated

The best motivation is self-motivation. Here’s how to get in an inspired state of mind

How do you stay motivated and inspired? How can you keep your passion, your excitement, fired up? By reviewing these self-motivators on a regular basis:
1. Get serious.
Make a decision to go all the way to the top. Up to now, you've thought about it. Up to now, it's passed your mind. But now make up your mind to go all the way to the top, and your life will take off. It's the most extraordinary thing.
Your life is like a shadow going up the dark side of a hill—until the moment you decide that "I'm going to be the best at what I do.” And suddenly you rise into the sunshine, and your life is forever after different—wonderful.
Get serious. Don't fool around anymore.
2. Know your limiting step.
What's your limiting step? What's the one skill area that's holding you back? What's the quality? What's the action? Ask other people. Find out what you need to become good at.
Find out what's keeping you stuck. What is the critical limiting step that's determining your success today?
3. Get around the right people.
Who are the right people? Winners. Get around positive people. Get around people with goals and plans, people who are going somewhere with their lives and have high aspirations. Get around eagles. As Zig Ziglar says, "You can't scratch with the turkeys if you want to fly with the eagles."
And get away from negative people. Get away from toxic people that complain and whine and moan all the time. Who needs them? Life is too short.
4. Take care of yourself.
Take excellent care of your health. That means good diet, good exercise. Everybody knows they should eat better foods, work out regularly and get lots of rest. If you're going to work hard five days a week, go to bed early five days a week.
5. See yourself as the best.
Visualize yourself as the very best in whatever you do—continually. Remember, all improvement in your life begins with an improvement in your mental pictures.
6. Talk nicely to yourself.
Control your inner dialogue and practice positive self-talk. How? Say, "I'm the best." Say it. Say, “I like myself,” “I can do it,” “I love my work.” If you say those things to yourself and you don't believe them, isn’t that lying to yourself? No, that's not lying to yourself—it’s telling the truth in advance. Because it doesn't matter where you're coming from—all that matters is where you're going.
Talk to yourself the way you want to be, not the way you just happen to be at this moment. Remember, you may have gotten where you are today largely by accident. But where you're going in the future is purely by design.
7. Get going.
Move fast. A sense of urgency is the one thing you can develop that will separate you from everyone else. Develop a bias for action. When you get a good idea, do it now.
And the faster you move, the better you get. And the better you get, the more you like yourself. And the more you like yourself, the higher your self-esteem is. And the higher your self-esteem is, the greater your self-discipline is. And the more you persist, then you ultimately become unstoppable.
