Your Perceptions, Beliefs, and Thoughts Control Your Genes

Now that I've shared the above statement from the field of neuroscience with you, I need to explain how it works.

To some of you, my explanation will sound unbelievable.

One of the many functions of the brain is to watch what's going on in your surroundings... just to keep you safe. The brain does this by formulating perceptions of the world around you.

Your brain's perceptions are the ways in which it "sees" the reality around you. But... does your brain really see that reality, or does it rather see its "perception" of that reality?

The answer is this: What your brain "sees" is the reality it understands. However, the reality your brain understands may not be reality at all! For example, the brain may perceive the reality as "threatening," even if the reality is not threatening at all.

Whenever your brain has a perception of your surroundings, it translates that perception, right or wrong, into signals that are communicated to the body's cells. The signals might say, for instance, everything is okay or you're in trouble. Without questioning the brain's "opinion" about your surroundings, your body reacts immediately to the brain's signal. If the brain sees a threat as real, your body reacts by preparing you for a "flight/fight or freeze" response, even if the brain is incorrectly seeing a problem when there is no problem at all!

Yes, it's possible for you and me to see the very same reality differently, since our brains perceive our environment differently; this is completely normal.

When your brain sends signals to your body, it's actually giving commands to your cells, thereby controlling their activity and behaviour. Your cells will adjust their activity depending on the signals from the brain.

Now we're getting closer to the main point of the story.

Not only do environmental signals control the behaviour and activity of the cells, but your own mind-set also plays a role in controlling them. Your brain's interpretation of outside signals is transferred to its chemistry, and your body's cells react to that chemistry accordingly.

In other words, your brain's perception and interpretation of the environment around you determine the chemistry of your cells.

The chemistry of your cells is your life. It's your health... or your sickness. Bad cell chemistry (e.g. stress hormones) will kill the cells unless you know how to handle stress, fear, anger, jealousy, or any other emotion that produces "bad hormones" (e.g. cortisol, norepinephrine, or histamine).

Now you know how your perceptions, beliefs, and thoughts control not only your cell activity and your genes, but also your destiny.

Create Your Life Now Through The Power Of Manifestation

If you take this action of manifesting true desires even more, then exactly what do we indicate by pessimistic and wrong-minded versus right-minded and optimistic, anyhow?

From a spiritual perspective, all experiences are simply discovering occasions.

For, if you think that favorable things can be developed by believed energy-- which is born of thought, I presume, exactly what you do think-- then why should unfavorable things not be developed in the exact same manner as how my snapdragon flowers had a willingness to flourish and grow?

The secret to manifesting and creation is a really basic sentence: perceptions and thoughts turned into ideas end up being things.

I presume you are trying to figure out in the Power of Manifestation, likewise called the 'Law of Attraction,' otherwise, you would not have landed on this article.

Well, this is the law of the universe that makes things appear in your life, or, we may say, to manifest.

If you question this, then get a notepad, and head it with the title, "My Thoughts and Perceptions which Manifest my World."

For me, if you manifest desires like wealth, there's always a life of purpose and passion behind it.

One that serves you (by supplying total satisfaction and completion) and serves the world (it makes a distinction).

Well, you most likely do think in the area of manifesting desires, but perhaps you most likely do not know how it works.

It may even appear like a wonder of the universe. You'll see how easy manifesting desires actually can be when you comprehend the laws of the universe.

Live the Life you Want

And those things which you can not discuss-- the unfavorable things, the difficulty, the misery-- think it or not, even that is the items of options and choices you've made at some level, at a long time.

Yes, of course we are accountable in some method for producing the truth around us.

In some cases it appears difficult to think such a thing, especially when things are not going well for us.

Well, the fact is that you can do all these things, and you are undoubtedly able to manifest whatever you desire.

You Desire Evidence ?

Previously I discussed the free information kits and e-books available online today for learning to go within and create your life now.

If you look within you, deeply, you will note that how much of exactly what you think your life will bring you does indeed bring you that.

Now, do you see how you have the power to begin manifesting desires in this instant right now?

And understanding that you have that power, maybe the time has actually come for you to begin manifesting love and other objectives and goals for the future.

A Definition of Manifestation

That is what creativity is all about, and you can specify it as your capability to create your life the way you want it to be.

Now list those things that you currently have actually brought into being like, your relationships, your kids, your marital relationship, your successes, and so forth.

And, if you care to, the failures you have actually developed in your life through the choices and options you've made.

Manifesting desires whatever it might be is the natural law of the miracle.

The Course in Miracles states, "There is no order of difficulty in miracles. All expressions of love are maximal."

Well, the fact is that you can do all these things, and you are undoubtedly able to manifest whatever you desire.

In some cases manifesting desires might appear difficult to think such a thing, especially when things are not going well for us.

For me, and for others who I have learned from, manifesting and manifesting desires love, or wealth, or health, or whatever it might perhaps be, there must be action taking and purpose and passion as the foundation.

( Please note, I also suggest searching the net for further helpful material and free tools and ideas for how to create the life you want for a better life.)

To your happiness and success!

What Are You So Angry About? 3 Steps to Identifying the Roots of Anger

Do you ever have trouble figuring out why you're angry or where it came from? You thought you were doing fine just minutes ago and then something provokes you and you maybe lash out, attack back, get snide or sarcastic, lecture somebody, insult them, grumble and gossip, plot revenge, or even fume or pout quietly. Anger has many looks and shades to it, doesn't it? How are you at even identifying when you are angry? I ask because it is quite difficult to sort out the causes and meanings of our anger if we aren't able to be aware of when we are experiencing it.

Step one: Identifying Anger

Maybe I have trouble identifying anger because I don't want to believe I am getting angry, or I really don't want to see how often I do. Maybe I believe that anger is bad or wrong? Some people do. Maybe I deny my anger because I am afraid of my anger or what I may do, or what people will think of me? Also common. Maybe I see it as embarrassing or losing self control? Maybe I had experienced being on the receiving end of anger and I told myself that I would never be angry like that? And so, what do I do? I either justify it or re-label it. Meaning I either focus on the external cause and blame my poor reaction on that, or I find a way to make it something else, something more acceptable. I may convert my anger into passive aggression, grudge holding and revenge, or with women in particular, maybe convert anger into tears. Another way we may convert our anger is to somaticize our emotions, which means converting them into physical symptoms, such as muscle tension, digestive problems, high blood pressure, or fatigue.

But re-labeling or converting my anger into something else and avoiding it only exacerbates the problem and doesn't help me to learn about the source of my anger and how to address it and manage my emotions in healthy ways. Step one means that I simply need to sift through my methods of avoidance and be willing to say - "I am angry". Becoming a less angry person sometimes actually involves a process in which you first get more angry. You're not really getting more angry, but it will seem that way as you become more aware of the anger you already have. The idea is to be able to do this without recriminations. I may feel guilty about how I reacted, and if I threw someone under the bus, and was unfair, then that would be appropriate. But, the reality of feeling anger and owning it is the goal here.

Step Two: Getting Underneath My Anger

Anger is considered a secondary emotion. What that means is that anger usually is representative of another emotion behind and underneath it. Now that I've identified that I am angry, I want to follow the trail back to the source, the root. I remind myself that my anger is telling me something about what is going on inside of me emotionally. My attitude is to play detective. Why? Why not just squash this unwanted emotion? Simply put, to the degree that I don't understand the roots or meanings of my anger is the degree to which I will be unhappy and disgruntled throughout my life. I realize that this can be hard work, but it really will be worth it to you.

How do I do this?

1. Ask yourself good questions about the meanings of your anger. What is it about what that person said or did? Seek descriptive words or metaphors to parse out your feelings.
2. Think back through your thoughts or perceptions concerning the event. How did I interpret the situation? Did I perceive an attack, or a slight? Did I feel rejected or misunderstood? Did I begin to go through worst case scenarios in my mind?
3. Try to recall times when you felt similarly to help you identify the meaning.
4. If you get stuck or come up blank, seek out a safe, trusted friend to help you talk it out and ask you probing questions.

Two common links to anger are hurt and disappointment. But since these are perceived as vulnerable or weak feelings, we are conditioned in our society to hide such feelings. One such way to hide them is to convert them into anger.

Step Three: Live Authentically

In Brene' Brown's Book, The Gifts of Imperfection, she refers to courage, and she explains that the word originally meant to "speak one's mind by telling all one's heart." 1 The author goes on to describe elements that are so important to becoming more authentic and emotionally healthy, and this notion of courageously being vulnerable leads the way. See, now that I have delved in and found out that there is something underneath my anger, something that's often more vulnerable - something like disappointment or loss or hurt - now I don't like that much. Now, I'm rather mad at that guy who wrote that article about anger! Although now I get why I gravitate to anger! Anger feels safer and less painful than feeling my vulnerability. But, the cat is now officially out of the bag. You can either move forward and address the underneath stuff, or you could go back and keep utilizing anger to cover up those things. One way leads to reduced anger and irritability and resentment and a better you. You already know which one is which.

Funny thing, but just acknowledging your underneath stuff actually helps. Just by being honest with yourself about your hurts is the beginning to healing them. Honesty matters. It means I am valuing my heart. Next comes daring to value and honor my heart with others. Yeah, it is risky. But learning that not everyone will respect your vulnerably also I think means finding out that some people will. And living authentically with those who respect you - that brings healing to our hurts and losses.

The Wrap Up
None of the steps are easy. If they were, we wouldn't be such an angry, disgruntled culture. That culture does present a challenge that you'll need to swim upstream against. There are plenty of folks who don't like someone being vulnerable. And I'll tell you the real reason why. It's not because vulnerable people are weak and so looked down upon and deserve to be trampled by the strong. Oh no. Sadly, reality is the opposite. It is true strength to be vulnerable and those without it fear it because it exposes them and shows what real strength and courage is. So it is mocked and referred to as weakness. You know, it's kind of like a dictator fearing that the people will figure out that if they rise up they would have more power than him. Personal maturity, emotion health, spiritual maturity are not lifted up by the world in general. God tells us not to be surprised by this in the Biblical book of I Peter. Jesus himself was not respected by the masses. But those who chose to get to know you will appreciate it. And you will be freer and more patient and more at peace. And you in the end just may discover that becoming less angry may make you less popular (only to some, mind you), and still happier and more content.

I Suddenly Have a Million Dollars: Should I Laugh or Should I Cry? (By Vyara Bridgeman)

Glass Ball on Wood Clip Art

If you had a billion dollars and your net worth was suddenly reduced to a million, you would be pretty pissed off. But if you had a hundred dollars and your net worth suddenly increased to a million, chances are you won't complain. So what exactly is the difference between a million dollars and a million dollars (no typo here!)?

In the last 4-5 months I had to learn how to use my left arm for things I used to do with my right arm. I also learned to ask for help. I still have my right arm. It just became a bit dysfunctional as a result of a shoulder injury that I initially didn't think much of. But as time passed by my arm got more and more stuck, the pain increased, and my frustration increased as well. I reached the point of tears, which was all good. When you hit the bottom, you know it's time to start climbing back up.

And that's when I had my epiphany. What if, I asked myself, I didn't have either arm, and then the technological advancement reached such levels that I could have one arm, fully functional? How would I feel being able to use one arm (after having no arms at all)? Of course I would be ecstatic. There is no doubt about that! Well, in that hypothetical state that I would be ecstatic about, I would in fact be worse off compared to the state I am already in and being miserable about. In reality I have two arms - one of them functions fully, and the other one functions somewhat (but will get better according to all of my therapists).

So then, I continue my reasoning, there is nothing about the situation I am in that is inherently frustrating. If the situation was frustrating in and of itself, I would be feeling the same level of frustration in the hypothetical situation where I end up with the use of one arm after having no arms at all. But I am not feeling frustrated in that scenario, so my frustration has nothing to do with the situation per se. It comes from my expectations. I expect to be able to use both arms but I can only use one. It frustrates me. If I didn't have arms and then got one, I am totally fine with using one arm.

My conclusions are inescapable: Firstly, my expectations shape my perceptions. And secondly, to change my perception and I need to change my perspective.

How accurate are your perceptions? And how much of them are shaped by your expectations and have little to do with reality? The bad news is, perceptions are never accurate, that's why we call them perceptions (otherwise we would be calling them facts). The good news is, you can change your perceptions by examining your expectations and changing your perspective. Expect the unexpected! Release all attachments to "successful" outcomes. You are here, that's already a success. Everything else is a bonus. Including the one million dollars.

Unleash the Power of Intuition

Woman Taking Off Black Top

Power of intuition
Perceptions are the binoculars through which you usually see things. At times, the way things look is not the way things are but they are sighted to you the way you see them just because of your earlier perception based biases. Perceptions are deceptive as they tend to bend with incidences one goes around with.

However, there is one force deep within you that surpasses your perception and alters the feel into a stronger sense that is actually closer to the factuality; i.e., Intuition.

Intuition is a sense of alarm that helps our perception to direct the focus to the actual façade of the situation and enable you to form the positive judgments or decisions to act or remain inactive. The irony is that this is a forsaken trait by people and usually an individual who not only look for the earthly facts but also neglects the natural signaling which is the guided system to help you steer clear of upcoming dangers but also gives you inklings to the underlying goodness of an incidence.

Here the question arises that what we could do to get a handle on this boon. First of all, we must learn to pay heed to those inner voices within us which could either be the voice of your conscience or a pang in your stomach or whatever the shape it takes, it must be put forth to you before we could form an opinion or make any decision. Once we habituate ourselves with this act of listening to the sensory tiny voice, we would find ourselves in a better situation to analyze a situation and to evaluate the pros and cons of our reaction to that particular state of affairs.

What lies next to give our intuition a shot. Why call it a shot? As it may sometimes go off the hook or may go against your expectation as opposed to the prevailing paradigm of "A universal guidance system", but again this sense needs some time and experiments with its allowed proportion to failure in order to get strengthened up and let it establishes the best possible notions on the basis of which, it alters its course of inference so as to reach as close as possible to the reality-based decisions and map your mind into the right dimensions of psychics.

When this gut feeling is all nurtured up, it embodies the structured criterion within your mind to assess a case in point before getting down with a firm opinion or stronghold conclusion. So, now this is the time that you reaped what you harvested. You have successfully awakened the natural mechanism within yourself who mentors your true defined living standards, work patterns, habits forming or behavioral administration and that is the point where your maturity takes off the edge.

The power of intuition is infinite in nature and if further reinforced with advanced neuro-linguistic tools, it channels a sprout of energy in your self and assists you being an individual with extraordinary abilities which is commonly found in the world best leaders, founders or change agents as they possessed a firm control over their intuition and led a life filled with outstanding marvels, well-admired maneuvers, acknowledged services to the mankind.

Message From the Universe: Perceiving Appearances

Man Wearing Black Tank Top and Brown Shorts Climbing Rock

"Courageous is the soul who adventures into time and space to learn of their divinity. For while they cannot lose, they can think they have, and the loss will seem intolerable. And while they cannot fail, they can think they have, and the pain will seem unbearable. And while they cannot ever be less than they truly are - powerful, eternal, and loved - they can think they are, and all hope will seem lost.

And therein lies their test. A test of perceptions: of what to focus on, of what to believe in, in spite of appearances.

Tallyho,
The Universe"

This post probably is talking to many and giving him to all humanity. You might feel like everything you do is not rendering the results you were expecting, or the fortune and glory you were wishing for. You will think that no matter what you do and how hard you work will just be a complete waste of time. So you wonder, What am I doing? Where am I going with all of this? What should I do or pursue? All these feelings of uncertainties, doubts, questioning your own value, wondering the reasons why you were put in this earth. No humans strive to lose or fail or anything else in that aspect but without it, you will never be able to define yourself as the person you were meant to be. Yes, it is painful to lose, or fail, or lose hope in what you thought would change the world. You decide what you want to do after facing the end results to all your hopes and dreams. If they end up with success, then great for you. If not, will you just abandon or lose hope for life? Will you just stop living?

Sometimes it can be difficult to face challenges when they all come to you at one time, but no matter how quick or hard they hit, you need to face them and work around them to find the best solution. Remember that the best solution is YOUR solution. Asking advice to others will just blur your judgement and affect your decision making process. You are the ONLY one who can have direct effect on all outcomes of your life and make the necessary changes needed to come out a winner. The key is to keep calm throughout the process and not alarm yourself at every little potholes in your path to happiness. There might be plenty of them so you need to walk or run around them to avoid falling and getting hurt. Life will constantly test you, here and there, with some little deserved breaks in between. You really have a couple of choices here. Either you wish to live a very calm and non eventful life and not see much return from it or what to risk it all and experience great rewards. You need to tell the Universe what you want. Nothing will be smooth sailing and witness great success. You can't have your cake and eat it too. So what will you choose? Serene life with nothing much to show for OR very active and challenging life that will render AMAZING success.

Being Bliss Is an Attitude - Not Dependent on Outer Joy or Perceptions of Peace

Bless others in your gaze by an engaging stare; You don't need to identify the reason(s) that bring you bliss, joy or happiness. Sometimes your life unfolds through well-deserved, synchronized occurrences, through planned actions receiving positive outcomes, your authenticity is what distinguishes you from others, it can be overwhelming, at times, and make you want to cry. Tears of unrealized dreams, only you know the reason for your fears; even when others don't. YOU CAN HOLD YOUR HEARTFELT REACTIONS NEAR OR DEAR TO YOURSELF; BRING BLISSFUL FEELINGS BACK TO YOURSELF, ALWAYS LIVE IN BLISS; BLESS THE BLISSFUL EVENTS, IT WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU; DO FOR OTHERS WHAT YOUR OWN BLISSFUL BLESSINGS DO FOR YOU! As time propels forward, so do our dreams, let them come across in this dimension, like you have already accomplished before by being authentic, original and by living your life, be true to your own talent, education or skill.

As we dream, we go freely to ANOTHER dimension of EXPANDED UNDERSTANDING, WITHOUT EXCUSES, AVOIDANCE OF COMPLICATED CONCERNS, AND DEVOID OF OUR OWN EGO. CHANGE OR AMEND your focus, concentrate on OMITTING ANOTHER'S FALLACIES- FILLED WITH LIES, GOSSIP OR JEALOUS RANTS, THESE ISSUES ARE THEIRS, NOT OURS, AND SIMPLY UNTRUE. How better can I explain this to you? Please comprehend, my intention is to enlighten my fellow man or woman.

Make things clear and simple, introduce enjoyment in your actions;however you judge them, big, small or insignificant. Give your best effort in everything that you do. Know that we are all inter-connected; Like tiny grains of sand, when put together make cement. All are the dots of life-giving cells, thoughts assimilating in your life; connecting you to the matrix of the bigger picture, and the very reason for our existence.

Soon you will be finely attuned to the impressive perception of life made simple; becoming a better antenna receptor for the gestation and electricity of your conspicuous, contemporaneous gestures, in ample and endless abundance, and in great measure. Treasure your existence on earth! It can bring you great accomplishment, pain, or pleasure in a balanced effort. Brought about by doing simple things, that you allow yourself to do, uplift yourself, generate wealth; press your thoughts or buttons; cause yourself to smile, to seize with ease, the next given opportunity;seek over and over again and have fun while learning or enduring the process. You'll be blissful and excited when you start painting, writing, dancing or singing again, just like you had before, when your life was more balanced and less complicated, than how you choose to live now.

Live in bliss and happiness, perform one adventure after another, once the last event is done; move-on to the next adventure; venture into untraveled territory seeking new ways to rebuild, relearn a new craft, reinvent your talent, art, or skill.

How to Think Yourself Young (By Mike Moore)

Everyone perceives reality through their own filters. And your perceptions of any reality are the foundations of your attitudes, beliefs and behaviours. If you perceive the aging process to be one of decline, decay and loss then that is exactly what aging will become for you. If this is true then we must involve ourselves in a frequent analysis of our existing perceptions. If we find them negative and destructive then we must transform them into more productive and constructive perceptions. When you change your perceptions you change your behaviour and thus change your life.

Let me illustrate.

My sister called our 92 year old Mother to chat. She started the conversation with the usual how are you and what are you doing? My Mother replied, "Oh I'm fine, Pat and I'm just eating a snack of fruit and vegetables and then I'm going for a walk." My sister answered with, "Mom you never eat fruit and vegetables and you've never liked going for walks. Why the change? " My Mother responded, "Oh I read in a woman's magazine that if you eat more fruit and vegetables and went for little walks you would live a long life." She will be 93 in December. How's that for attitude? I hope it's genetic.

We are the products of the thoughts we think. Everything in life is the result of the thoughts we humans, think.

The Secrets to thinking yourself young (Good advice at any age)
*Have a sense of humour and laugh often.
*Cultivate a positive attitude. Remember that our attitudes are our dominant thoughts. All human behaviour is nothing more than attitude in action. If you want positive behaviour cultivate positive attitudes.
*Learn to relax.
*Get exercise daily.
*Watch what and how much you eat and drink.
*The greatest compliment a person can receive at any age is, "You're fun to be with."
* Life doesn't have to be absolutely pain free to be enjoyable.
*The enjoyment of simple pleasures is the path to aging youthfully.
*The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
*When our friends begin to die we naturally become upset and grieve their loss. BUT... we MUST stay focused on living. Live in the hope that we will meet our friends again someday but until then we have a lot of living to do.
*Those who laugh a lot never grow old. They might die after a long life but they will die young.
*You are never too old to become what you might have been.
*Smiling can take 10 years off your face. So what are you waiting for?
*You know you're getting up there when archeologists dig up things you remember from your childhood.
*There is nothing worse than being a doer with nothing to do.
* Stop believing the negative thoughts you think.
*Discover and appreciate the wonder of nature. There is nothing that calms my spirit and fills me with joy more than observing the natural world. When I stand in the solitude of a moonlight night or watch the sun set on the sea or watch a monarch butterfly quietly land on a flower I am filled with the peace and wonder only the natural world can provide. It also gives my aging spirit a sense of continuity and mystery. There is certainly more beyond the horizon than we can imagine.

In his best-selling book the Power of Positive Thinking Norman Vincent Peale suggests that to change an attitude we have to start thinking positive thoughts. He advocates writing an inspirational or motivational quote on a piece of paper and putting it beside your bathroom mirror so you can see it when you are shaving or putting on make-up. I left each quote up beside the mirror for 21 days. That's the time it takes to form a new habit or attitude according to the experts. At the end of that time I would replace the last quote with a new one.

Whenever I had a negative thought throughout the day I would recite the quotes I had memorized previously. Slowly I began to change my attitudes and my behaviour. It really works.

I would like to end with these thoughts. Stop complaining about aging. It is a privilege denied many.

You will be as happy in life as you make up your mind to be.

Becoming Financially Independent Through A Reflective State Of Mind

Of the many personal transformation books about how to achieve financial freedom or becoming financially independent that I have read, I have discovered a typical thread on the basics of money attraction.

The same ideas will be discovered when you go online and search on the exact same subject.

It is your perceptions and thoughts and a reflective state of mind that will set the stage for manifesting money. In order to be able to attract wealth, you must find out how to use the power of attraction for manifesting money.

How to achieve financial freedom means training your mind into thinking that you already have exactly what you've wanted, and then your life will astonishingly change to show your new belief.

The following manifesting money mindset tips and pointers and suggestions, might sound like mumbo jumbo or hocus pocus to you, but they are common among the habits of successful people everywhere.

They continuously duplicate these pointers to train their mind for how to achieve financial freedom.

Let's look at these suggestions and steps to becoming financially independent within yourself, first, so, then, you may use the power of reflection to deliver it to your external life:

Tip 1 - Act and behave like you are already financially stable.

In this circumstance, it is financial stability. Ask yourself, if I am already financially well-off, what would I do?

By beginning to act like a success and think like a success, you are teaching your mind that you are expanding your constraints, and as you practice this you will begin to purchase more of the important things you want in your life and manifesting money to pay for them will occur.

Seek out the way to success, and then take action. This is the law of money attraction, or as some call it, "The Law of Divine Compensation."

Suggestion 2 - Be grateful and show gratitude for any money you receive.

For how to achieve financial freedom you should show thankfulness for the inner-wealth which is currently in your life.

Instead of grumbling how little financial stability you have, be grateful that you currently have a passion and purpose, and will have more and offer thanks to God or whatever greater power you believe in.

Tip 3 - Giving thanks.

The next time when you get money, instead of barely discovering it, take a few minutes to provide thanks to the Universe, or, as the Course in Miracles terms the "Holy Spirit," for bridging the gap from your sleeping mind to awakened truth of the abundance within you.

Each time you get your paycheck or each time you've earned money, do appreciate the truth and see that money and stop is flowing into your life.

By being grateful for manifesting money even through your employment, more wealth attraction will seem to be yours.

Pointer 4 - Be open to manifesting money opportunities.

Ask yourself an honest question: Why it is people who are financially well-off always have cash making chances and that you do not?

The response is that you are just not searching for becoming financially independent opportunities deep enough within you, first, and then manifest money into your material world. Or when opportunities are presented you, you are judgmental and too critical and let skepticism rule over you.

In order to see financial stability, your subconscious mind must be open to the concept of money flowing to you.

By doing that, you are teaching your subconscious mind that you are not going to put out effort on reflecting your inner abundance into your outer world.

Your subconscious mind can not compare a cent and a million bucks.

All that your mind realizes is how you feel, which are thoughts stowed away somewhere in your subconscious mind that you do not wish to begin manifesting money.

This mindset can likewise be available in lots of other kinds such as whenever you do decline a present or do not charge somebody for work done or charge them less than you ought to be, or you offer an item for less than it is worth, you are creating the exact same feelings.

Do Your Outsides Match Your Insides?

Have you ever found yourself saying to yourself, or to someone else, "Act your age"? What does that mean anyway? Does it mean that if we are a certain age, or have a certain status in "society" that it is not okay to be playful or silly? Does it mean that it's not okay to spontaneously dance in our living room? Does it mean that if we look great in jeans, or heels, that it's not okay to wear them because of our age? Does it mean that after a certain age it's not okay to listen and enjoy current music?

No one has determined an age limit to behaviors we enjoyed in our youth, yet many of us have beliefs, whether they are conscious or unconscious, that at a certain age we need to stop doing some things and think in a different way.

I'm not talking about an adult who is immature. I am talking about an adult who is a contemporary thinker, young at heart and spirit, and enjoys life to the fullest despite their age. I'm talking about allowing ourselves the natural inclination to be who we truly are.

Do You Act as Old as You Are, or as Old as You Feel?

Do you feel like the age you truly are? Is how you think, feel, and act in alignment with what others, and your own perceptions, are regarding your age? How do you reconcile the difference? Do you feel compelled to act the way you believe you "should" act given your age? Do you follow the expectations of how you "should" behave based upon whatever your perceived status may be in your community, or society in general? Or are you allowing yourself to be truly who you are despite this notion?

Are You Being True to Yourself?

If you're not being true to yourself, you might be depriving yourself of the little joys in life. You don't have to retire activities that brought you happiness in your youth just because you feel you've capped the age limit.

• Do you feel out of step with your contemporaries because you may tend to suppress your true self?

• Do you "fake your feelings or actions" to avoid behaving in a way which might be perceived as younger than you are, even if you may be completely comfortable with yourself, and your views, taste and interests?

• Do you feel younger at heart, soul, body, mind, and spirit than the people who are in your age bracket and socioeconomic status?

• Is there a sense of alienation because those of a similar age bracket, and societal position, are in a very different place than we are?

Do You Sit with the Crowd? Or Dance to the Beat of Your Own Drum?

I know for some of us feeling self-conscious may keep us from doing certain things because of the fear that doing so would ruin our sense of belonging. We want to fit in and be accepted by our peers. For others there are judgments around what is okay for certain ages, or if one has certain status in the community, and what is not acceptable.

You're Never Too Old to Embrace Your Inner Child

I remember walking through the park one day and having the urge to go on a swing. I didn't stifle this desire because I thought I was "too old" to swing. I don't believe we're ever too old to enjoy swinging. So my friends and I got on those swings and we had a blast. If I had squashed my desire to do this, I would have been depriving myself of something enjoyable.

My wish for you today is that you permit yourself to rediscover the joy in expressing your inside self on the outside and that this experience brings you much happiness.

How to Deepen Your Intuition

Many people laugh at the notion of intuition but it's a very real phenomenon. You yourself may have experienced some intuitive moments. Intuition is associated with innovation and scientific discovery and it's a gift we all have. What exactly is intuition, how does it work and how can you deepen yours?

Intuition is the ability to gain knowledge without the use of reason. It's something you feel that you can't explain. It's an uncanny or inexplicable sense of knowing. You know something, but you don't know how you know what you know. You just know it.

When you have an intuitive moment, you are actually having a sensory experience. Everything we know about our world comes through our senses. Our eyes see, our ears hear, our noses smell, our tongues taste, and our hands and skin feel. The sensations from these organs are sent to our brain, where they are translated into electrical signals or impulses. Our brain then "reads" the information and tells us what we're experiencing. At least, that's what we were taught in school.

Physiologists tell us that we have nine senses. There are the basic five we learned in school and the other four are: our sense of temperature, our sense of pain, our sense of balance (which includes acceleration), and our sense of where our body is in the space around us and in relationship to all of our other body parts. We use these nine senses all the time to make sense of our world and our body in it.

Jamie Sams, one of the foremost teachers of Native American wisdom, tells us we actually have 357 sensory perceptions or "antenna of awareness." According to native teachings, everything in the universe contains energy, so everything is energy. Emotion, thought, intent, and awareness are some of the forms of energy present in us. These flows of energy are one way that we communicate with each other and with ourselves. They are also the means by which we relate to all other life forms. Each of these flows of energy has its own sensory perception to go along with it. So if we have 357 flows of energy within us, then we also have 357 sensory perceptions in us too.

In order to understand how these sensory perceptions work, imagine that your heart works like a compass, a GPS, or a mini-satellite dish, and its intuitive technology is hardwired inside you. It's helpful to think of your heart as having an antenna that sends and receives energy through your senses. When you pick up sensory signals from your antenna, the signals don't come from your brain. They come from your heart and they flow through your brain - the limbic part of your brain to be exact.

The limbic brain is responsible for all of our feeling. It's also responsible for our behaviour and our decision-making but it has no capacity for language. That's where the phrase "gut decisions" come from. Your stomach doesn't control decision-making but gut decisions "feel right." That's because the part of the brain that controls your feelings (the limbic brain) also controls your feelings. When you listen to your gut, you are simply following your feelings or listening to your heart.

Our limbic brain is very powerful. That's why we sometimes have intuitive feelings that are very strong and that contradict our rational and analytical mind. Neuroscientist Richard Restak, author of the book The Naked Brain, says that when people are forced to make decisions with only the rational part of their brain, they often end up "overthinking" things. Rational decisions usually take longer to make and are often of lower quality. Decisions made with the limbic brain, through feelings and not words, tend to be faster, higher-quality decisions. But we tend to doubt ourselves when we have these feelings because we aren't able to verbalize them. We have the feelings but then we tell ourselves the feelings are silly because we can't attach words to them.

In order to deepen your intuition:

1. recognize that intuition is a very real phenomenon.

2. remind yourself, the next time you have an intuitive moment, that you are having a sensory experience.

3. remember that innovation and new scientific discoveries flow from intuition and that intuition is a gift we all have.

4. realize that intuitive feelings come to you quickly and bring higher quality decisions when you listen to them.

5. honour and trust the feelings you are having by listening to and following their guidance.

6. meditate regularly.

Whether you want to make better decisions, solve problems more quickly, or innovate and design, tuning into your intuition is important. When you trust your intuition, you trust yourself. And when you trust yourself, the more success you'll have.

Mental Blocks and Metaphors

"Key metaphors help determine what and how we perceive, and how we think about our perceptions". M. H. Abrams

Perceptions are created from life experiences, and they can be your greatest source of encouragement, or create your biggest mental block. Working as a therapist and life coach I spend a lot of time delving into the perceptions of those people I work with by using interpretive images such as metaphors. Why? Metaphors tell a story or provide a visual cue to help us see alternative ways of looking at personal challenges.

Creative and powerful, metaphors have a uniquely meaningful influence, bringing together clarity and attention to your specific situation. Some refer to this experience as an "aha moment". One of the most transforming, is the key metaphor that stems from the optical viewer known as a kaleidoscope. Described as a "key" metaphor because it offers up ever-changing images and constantly shifting perspectives that everyone can relate to. Speaker Rosabeth Moss Kanter illustrates the kaleidoscope metaphor as a window to the world, in that you look at a set of elements, and with intention reassemble those floating bits and pieces into how you perceive yourself, and your world. All of which make up your life. The smallest shift having the potential to create a new awareness, as was the case in the story of my friend's daughter Kate.

My Friends Daughter: Story of the Seen and Unseen

As the door opened, my friend was struck by the tears streaming down her daughter's face.

Stumbling to speak through her tears, my friend's daughter said "It's not fair, it's not my fault, it's just not fair"! Curious my friend stopped what she was doing to listen. She wanted to know more about what had made her daughter so upset.

"What's not fair Kate?" my friend asked.

Justifying her tears, my friend's daughter said "Because I'm the tallest in my class I always get put last in line. Just once I would like to be first, it's not my fault. I didn't ask to be tall, it's just not fair".

Calmly my friend replied. "Kate do you remember the lesson of the Kaleidoscope?"

"That sometimes you need to go exploring to find a solution" replied Kate.

Okay then, said my friend," let's go exploring. Why don't we begin by lining up just you as you would do in school ". Kate looked at her mother and did as she requested. Now standing behind her, my friend using her best militant voice yelled out "about-face" and Kate found herself first in line, right where she wanted to be.

Excited Kate said "Oh mommy, if all I want is to be first in line, I just need to turn around"!

By prompting Kate to think about the lesson of the Kaleidoscope along with intentional instruction from my friend, Kate was able to see her situation in a new and different way. Whether or not you agree with the concept that problems are created when you stop seeking solutions is not important. What is helpful is the realization that challenges cannot be transformed into opportunities when an obstacle you are facing consumes all your attention.

Take-away: Even though what you see may not be up to you or me, the way it is viewed is up to you.

Making Your Kaleidoscope

While I don't believe you need any practical excuse for owning a kaleidoscope other than for the sheer enjoyment, so don't forget to find the fun in exploring creative solutions!

Rohn: The 4 Powerful Ways to Change a Bad Habit

What feelings truly push people outside their comfort zone?

No one understands as I do the inherent difficulty in changing old and persistent habits. But habits begin to change when we begin to change our perceptions.
Most of us don’t experience a cataclysmic transformation. No, for most of us change comes as an evolutionary process of almost imperceptible changes. We just keep nudging ourselves in the right direction, forming one or two better habits.
But what really makes us sit up and take notice? What really causes us to shed our old habits and take action?
Disgust with ourselves.
Making a decision when our backs are to the wall.
Desire that won’t be extinguished.
Resolve to do or die.

Emotions are the most powerful forces inside us. Under the power of emotions, human beings can perform the most heroic (as well as barbaric) acts. To a great degree, civilization itself can be defined as the intelligent channeling of human emotion. Emotions are fuel and the mind is the pilot, which together propel the ship of civilized progress.
In this excerpt from 7 Strategies for Wealth & Happiness, Jim Rohn describes four basic emotions that can trigger the most incredible activity. The day that you channel these emotions to fuel your desire is the day you’ll turn your life around.
1. Disgust
One does not usually equate the word “disgust” with positive action. And yet properly channeled, disgust can change a person’s life. The person who feels disgusted has reached a point of no return. He or she is ready to throw down the gauntlet at life and say, “I’ve had it!” That’s what I said after many humiliating experiences. At age 25, I said, “I don’t want to live like this any more. I’ve had it with being broke. I’ve had it with being embarrassed, and I’ve had it with lying.”
Yes, productive feelings of disgust come when a person says, “Enough is enough.”
They’ve had it with mediocrity. They’ve had it with those awful sick feelings of fear, pain and humiliation. They decide they are not going to live like this any more. Call it what you will, the “I’ve had it” day, the “never again” day, the “enough’s enough” day. Whatever you call it, it’s powerful! There is nothing so life-changing as gut-wrenching disgust!
2. Decision
Most of us need to be pushed to the wall to make decisions. And once we reach this point, we have to deal with the conflicting emotions that come with making them. We have reached a fork in the road. Now this fork can be a two-prong, three-prong or even a four-prong fork. No wonder that decision-making can create knots in stomachs, keep us awake in the middle of the night or make us break out in a cold sweat.
Making life-changing decisions can be likened to internal civil war. Conflicting armies of emotions, each with its own arsenal of reasons, battle each other for supremacy of our minds. And our resulting decisions, whether bold or timid, well thought out or impulsive, can either set the course of action or blind it. I don’t have much advice to give you about decision-making except this:
Whatever you do, don’t camp at the fork in the road. Decide. It’s far better to make a wrong decision than to not make one at all. Each of us must confront our emotional turmoil and sort out our feelings.
3. Desire
How does one gain desire? I don’t think I can answer this directly because there are many ways. But I do know two things about desire:
a. It comes from the inside, not the outside.
b. It can be triggered by outside forces.

Almost anything can trigger desire. It’s a matter of timing as much as preparation. It might be a song that tugs at the heart. It might be a memorable sermon. It might be a movie, a conversation with a friend, a confrontation with the enemy or a bitter experience. Even a book or an article such as this one can trigger the inner mechanism that will make some people say, “I want it now!”
Therefore, while searching for your “hot button” of pure, raw desire, welcome into your life each positive experience. Don’t erect a wall to protect you from experiencing life. The same wall that keeps out your disappointment also keeps out the sunlight of enriching experiences. So let life touch you. The next touch could be the one that turns your life around.
4. Resolve
Resolve says, “I will.” These two words are among the most potent in the English language. I will.Benjamin Disraeli, the great British statesman, once said, “Nothing can resist a human will that will stake even its existence on the extent of its purpose.” In other words, when someone resolves to “do or die,” nothing can stop him.
The mountain climber says, “I will climb the mountain. They’ve told me it’s too high, it’s too far, it’s too steep, it’s too rocky, it’s too difficult. But it’s my mountain. I will climb it. You’ll soon see me waving from the top or you’ll never see me, because unless I reach the peak, I’m not coming back.” Who can argue with such resolve?
When confronted with such iron-willed determination, I can see Time, Fate and Circumstance calling a hasty conference and deciding, “We might as well let him have his dream. He’s said he’s going to get there or die trying.”
The best definition for “resolve” I’ve ever heard came from a schoolgirl in Foster City, California. Many years ago, I was lecturing about success to a group of bright kids at a junior high school. I asked, “Who can tell me what ‘resolve’ means?” Several hands went up, and I did get some pretty good definitions. But the last was the best. A shy girl from the back of the room got up and said with quiet intensity, “I think resolve means promising yourself you will never give up.” That’s it! That’s the best definition I’ve ever heard: Promise yourself you’ll never give up.
Think about it! How long should a baby try to learn how to walk? How long would you give the average baby before you say, “That’s it, you’ve had your chance”? You say that’s crazy? Of course it is. Any mother would say, “My baby is going to keep trying until he learns how to walk!” No wonder everyone walks.
There is a vital lesson in this. Ask yourself, “How long am I going to work to make my dreams come true?” I suggest you answer, “As long as it takes.” That’s what these four emotions are all about.

Manifest Your Dreams

For each of us, the universe is different. A homeless man may view the universe as unfair, hard and tough. A rich man may view the universe as a lovely place full of luxury and pleasure. Both of them are viewing the same universe, it is just different because of their perceptions of it and their life experiences.
This is a fundamental key to understanding, to know that how you perceive the universe is how it is to you. If you feel it is full of fear and hatred, then it will be. If you think it is full of love and happiness, it is. Using some of the techniques discussed in this, and other articles, you can start to reprogram the way you perceive the universe and change your life!
Think about how many times you have feared something happening and then it has. For example, you might be worried that you are going to bump your car, and then you do. Was it a premonition or did you create it? Compare this to the amount of times you have looked forward to something and then it has happened. Usually the fear is a much stronger emotion and focus, which causes the object of that fear/thought to manifest much more quickly.
Of course, thought and belief does not just create the universe on an emotional and psychological level, but also on a material level. We may fear that we are not good with money and hence we are not. You can use your will and focus on manifesting items that you want to further your life with. Remember that you can only manifest things you believe you can have. You may wish for a million dollars, but unless you really believe you can have it, you will not get it.
You need to be aware that things are not just going to fall out of the air and land on your lap, though on occasion they may well do so, literally as well as figuratively. It sometimes takes a little while for what you want to manifest to appear. Sometimes it requires faith and patience on your part. It might be the Universe is testing you to see if you really want it and will really dedicate yourself to getting it before you get it. You cannot sit back and wait for what you want to manifest.
There is a saying "God helps those who help themselves". This is true. When you are manifesting it is essential that you listen to your intuition and follow your instincts. It often also depends on whether what you are trying to manifest is in tune with your life's purpose or not. If it is not then you have an uphill struggle to manifest it. Also, if you manifest for selfish needs and with your ego then it is not likely to work. It works best when you manifest for the greater good, selflessly, and from your higher self.
When working on manifesting remember to keep your mind open as to how it is going to appear in your life. For example, many of us may want to manifest more money. We have a mental program that says, "more money means I have to work more". This is not necessarily true. You might manifest more money from a promotion, a raise at work, a change of job or career, from a competition win, an inheritance, and many other ways. You need to be open to this because if you mentally limit the ways the Universe can provide to you then it is going to be much harder for what you want to come into your life. Listen to your intuition too because it will help guide you. You might get the urge to buy a newspaper suddenly. You buy it and notice the exact car you want for sale in it. Our intuition is from our higher self and will guide us if we listen to it.
You can use decrees, affirmations, and positive visualisation to help you create what you want in your universe. This does not just have to be limited to material items, but you can work on bringing more love, more joy and many other things into your life and the lives of those around you. When you are working on manifesting things such as these into your life look to the root cause of what you are lacking. For example, you might feel you are lacking love in your life. Examine the cause and you might see it is because of a lack of self-worth or self-love, or because of something in your childhood. Once you are aware of why you can work on dealing with the issue and healing yourself. Then you will find it much easier to bring, and to keep, what you desire in your life.
Another exercise you can do to help you manifest is to realise the abundance of the universe. Abundance will be the subject of another article, and is dealt with fully within the course, but take a walk outside some time and look at how abundant nature is. See how freely nature gives and how much is given. Think about this and how abundance can be a part of your life.
You can use affirmations such as:
* I am worthy of love and respect from others and myself
* I have an abundance of money in my life
* I am good with money and spend it wisely
* I open myself to the abundance of the universe
* I am in tune with my higher self
* I accept that I am a good and worthy person
Finally, remember these points:
Believe in what you are trying to manifest
Listen to your intuition
Manifest from your higher self and in harmony with your life's purpose
Manifesting is not just limited to material items. You can manifest more love, happiness, peace, and much more
Manifest for others, not just yourself
That YOU create the universe you live in, so changing your perceptions of it, changes the universe
Believe in yourself and what you can achieve. You can manifest anything you desire in your life, good or bad.
