Top 4 Tips To Make Your Affirmations Awesome

Affirmations can be a great way to take back control of your life. They help restructuring your thought process in ways that make things happen. But, they need to be used in the right way or else you could be wasting your efforts.

Below are the top 4 tips on how to create the right affirmations so they work in your favor.

#1 Stay in the Present

People tend to think in terms of the future when trying to make something out of their lives. For instance, they may say, "I am going to get a promotion someday." While this is certainly better than using negative language, if you switch your focus to the present rather than the future, you will find you get better results.

So instead of saying someday, somewhere, sometime you will get certain things, you should say things like I am doing whatever it takes to create [this outcome or that result] by taking [this action or that behavior].

Do not focus on the outcomes in the future, focus on performing the next necessary action today so you make real progress.

#2 Make Affirmations Part of Your Routine

Our brain has been programmed with certain beliefs and habits. Making changes can be difficult especially as we get older. There is some truth in the saying that "you can't teach an old dog new tricks."

However, regardless of age or other self-limiting beliefs, everyone can reprogram their brains if they do it consistent enough. Affirmations will help only if you are willing to take the time, energy and effort to make them a part of your daily routine.

#3 Seek Out Support

Find others who have successfully implemented affirmations to get what they wanted. You could look online for blogs or forums, or you could even advertise in your local area.

Another option is to create a group on Meetup.com for your local area. Search for ones that may already be available or create your own and see what kinds of responses you get. Between the internet and local groups, you should be able to find like-minded individuals who are happy to share their experiences and assist you in your own journey.

#4 Read More About the Subject

There are many resources on the subject of affirmations and personal development. This can be a double-edged sword because not all of the information are created equal and there are tons of irrelevant nonsense in the marketplace.

However, as you become more proficient on the subject, you will find it easier to filter out the noise. There are several books available on Amazon for this topic. You can also participate in some great learning courses on Udemy.

It will take a bit of research but there are programs with great ratings that you may want to engage with. As time change, be sure to search online and offline for updated resources as well.

Stay Active After PTSD - Overcome Your Post-Trauma Predicament in 5 Easy Steps

Introduction

According to the National Comorbidity Survey Reports over 7.5 million people are diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder every year in the United States alone. Most of them suffer from the post-trauma predicament. A predicament is a security system developed by our instinct which prevents us from further trauma. We make a mistake when we think it is an unmanageable disease. Yes, it's definitely a complicated health and mental issue but we can bypass it using simple techniques.

What is a trauma?

A trauma is condensed stress. When an event of our life or a chain of events pile up a huge amount of insecurity within our subconscious mind, we experience a trauma. The major characteristic of a trauma is that it is more of a subconscious affair than a conscious matter. So, to deal with trauma we need to specifically work on our subconscious mind and generate a habit of feeling protected. To do that we need to understand that our subconscious mind is connected to a few things, like- our body, our memory, our environment and the community we live in. If we can manage all these aspects then we'll be able to balance rejuvenate our subconscious mind.

How does post-trauma predicament behave?

The post-trauma predicament is a security system developed by our instinct which protects us from further trauma. Yes, it's a security system that saves our butts. But in this process, it ruins us the other way. In a post-trauma condition, our body cuts the connection between our nerves and muscles. It stops the flow of oxygen in the Neuromuscular junction and we cannot move our limbs. We know this situation as a predicament.

Let's understand this in an example; suppose you want to check your email and you turned on the email app on your mobile phone but there's no internet connection. You can see the "loading circle" on the screen. Your device is trying to synchronize the app with your email account. And, it fails. You try again and the same thing happens. The email app in your mobile phone cannot load the inbox page because the connection between your mobile phone and the internet is broken.

Same thing happens with us when we go through a predicament. We try to do some activity, our brain initiates the process but the muscles cannot perform it because the connection between our nerves and the muscles is broken.

How to stay active?

Most of the P.T.S.D. challengers spend a good amount of time lying in bed and sleeping. They get out of bed, have some food and go back to sleep. If you are one of them then don't feel ashamed. It's totally okay. Your body needs that rest. You need to give yourself a minimum time to recover from the immediate shocks of the trauma.

1. Start with 'No-brain Activities':

(Use your sensory organs)

You should start by doing the 'no brain-activities'. After the immediate shocks of trauma, our body develops a practice of feeling stressed all the time. While feeling stressed there is more blood flow to the back part of our brain (mainly in the hypothalamus) and less blood flow on the frontal lobe. The frontal lobe executes all logical and analytic processes. So, it's difficult for us to perform actions. That's why we should start with no-brain activities.

Use your sensory organs to start working. Use your eyes, your ears, your tongue. You can start by simply watching TV or listening to music.

2. Engagement Is The Key

(Use your hands)

Next, you need to do physical tasks. It's the time when you introduce your hands with your eyes and ears. You need to practice what you have learned so far. Simply start singing, start dancing, try to enact your favorite scenes from your favorite TV shows, start cooking, start drawing, do make ups, start working out, literally anything that involves physical engagement. Just keep in mind you should pick one or two of the tasks you like. Do not overwhelm yourself. If you overwhelm yourself with a bunch of projects and cannot finish any of them then you might end up sabotaging yourself. You can schedule a routine that you'll cook in the morning and paint at night or whatever suits you.

Remember, you still do not have enough blood flow to your logical brain so your brain cannot handle more than one or two tasks. Don't set goals, don't pressurize yourself. Just hang out with your task and try to create a relationship with it.

3. Join a community

(Utilize The Power of Collective Humanity)

Next, you'll need to join a community. A community is always helpful. You get to meet a lot of people dealing with similar challenges like yours. You also meet people who have survived similar situations. You'll get to talk to them, you'll get to listen to them. They'll empathize with your pain. And, most importantly they'll recognize your achievements. Also, when we are around people who support us we feel more protected. It is a good therapy for a PTSD challenger.

So, join a community that shares similar beliefs and interest. The community should be a physical community and not an online community.

4. Start a Venture

(Use your legs)

Starting a venture is more of an advanced stage and probably the most difficult one. Most of the challengers fail to nail this one. But, the fact is if you are able to execute stage 4 you'll never look back. It's like a reward to yourself, it's a gift from the Universe. So, you have to start a venture.

Now, what is venture? Anything that is dedicated to a purpose and requires consistent engagement is a venture. If someone has a family he is a member of a venture, if someone works for a company then he is a member of a venture if someone works for a nonprofit group he is a member of a venture. Now you also need to be a part of a venture.

Either join an existing venture or create a new one. It's the best way to attract gratitude which will bring you recognition and empowerment. And, empowerment is one of the best remedies for a post-trauma condition.

5. Keep the ball rolling

(Maintain Continuity)

Now, you have to maintain the continuity. It is said that most of the trauma challengers fail to stay active because they fail to continue the process. It's a secret how to keep the ball rolling.

a. You Need A Strong 'Why'- define a purpose of your life. It's a way to hack the rules of the Universe. As a human being, we tend to stay active if there are people depending on us. If you can convince yourself that there are a few people depending on you, you'll more likely to stay active than if not.

b. Create a Community of Yours- create a support group of your own. They'll keep you motivated and even help you to start a venture. Your community should contain a core and a buffer group to help you in different situations.

c. Establish your actions with rituals- you have to establish the activities I taught previously. Rituals are the best way to do that. A personal 'Mantra' or 'Japa' can help you. Even lighting up a candle can help you to continue your journey.

JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

It's all about what you believe. A trauma has a two-way effect. It affects our physics and our psyche. We do not have much control over our physics but we can control our psyche. And, by controlling the psyche we can govern our physics to some extent. The goal of a PTSD-challenger should be to get full command over their psyche and guide their physics to recovery.

Double Vision Filtering What We See

How clearly can you see people, events and situations? 'Crystal clear' most people will say' 'I was there, I know what I saw!' But do they, really? Why then are there so many interpretations of the same event by the same audience. When our eyes complete processing of any object it is transmitted to our brain, that amazing storage bank that houses every life experience, everything we have learned and even the memory of the emotions that were involved in what we learned. Suddenly what we 'saw' has been filtered through what we know or believe is true and even our emotions impacted what we saw and believed. Therein are the differences in what people see.

When we are unclear about what we see we do a comparison analysis of events, equating it to things we have witnessed or experienced in the past and what we believed was true about those things. A seasoned traveller will have an entirely different perspective than the person who has never left their city or state. One who has been exposed to abuse or dysfunctional behavior has been trained to deny what they see, to excuse the inexcusable in many cases. They see things differently than those who have been exposed to a loving balanced environment. In fact, most simply accept their environment as normal without question. We are at a far greater disadvantage when we are unaware that things are way off kilter, far more prone to interpret events that are dangerous or horrific with less emotion. We can't call a spade a spade because we don't see it as a spade; we imagine we are a survivor and act accordingly.

By the time most people say, 'that might not have been normal' they imagine it is too late to change and continue through life peering through broken lens. Every deduction is likely to be skewered; many spend a lifetime feeling misunderstood and rarely voice their opinion imagining it will be criticized. Others spend their life being angry because others just cannot see what they see. When we are caught up in these behavior patterns releasing them requires a retraining process to understand what we really see. Until we complete that process we must interrupt the normal progression of interpretation by not accepting the first response. Instead, we have to run the image back through again paying careful attention to the details in the images. It is much like converting a photo from color to black and white so as not to be distracted. This allows us to focus only on what is before us without emotion, without attachment to the outcome.

Practicing this on events and personal involvement with anyone or anything has an added bonus. You can kick your old companions named denial and delusion to the curb because you can correctly identify what you see! Doing so carries the promise of a brand new life.

Understanding Your Instincts

Are instincts really important? Animals survive by them; it was vital to the survival of humans from the beginning of time. Are they still important? It helps to understand the origin of what we accept as truth and how we arrive at conclusions. Everyone is using their instincts but many allow the information to be clouded or discarded.

Instincts originate through the innate, a little discussed but vastly important part of the human being. This is the smart body of our own energy that surrounds each person. Its field extends from the center of our being to 12 feet in every direction surrounding us, invisible to the naked eye but perhaps the most vital tool for survival we have. The innate exists without emotion, reading the energy of every person and developing situation with precision and 100 percent accuracy. It also acts as a communication source from our higher consciousness, correctly delivering information that is vital to our wellbeing. What does that mean, how is the information transferred to us?

Situations that exist within the body, such as impending health issues are delivered by several methods. The one you understand and will react to is the one that will be used for you. You may suddenly be drawn to articles or programs about specific medical ailments, have vivid dreams, become abruptly more aware of an organ and its function or simply a sense of knowing something is not quite right. The more serious the malady the stronger the signal will be. A sense of foreboding or impending doom or the thought that you should get things in order signifies a possible serious illness. If you are uncertain wait for clarity, it will come.Pay attention and act on these feelings.

What about those new people you meet? Your very first feelings or reading of that person is correct, for you. You may be in a crowd or with friends who all have a different feeling about that person. Are you wrong, should you accept what they believe as truth for you? Never, not ever; this can be dangerous and lead you to become involved with someone who is utterly wrong for you. The information you are receiving is absolutely accurate about how that person will affect your own life. Their impact may be completely different for the others. Yours is correct for you.

Those sudden feelings you get about taking different routes to a familiar place or avoiding something that you typically do originate from the same source. You are being given information about what is approaching for you. How about that 'parking angel' that always seems to be looking out for you and finding a place? That is you, your innate conveying the information to you!

As humans evolved and technology and training became an important part of life we have trained ourselves to do something very dangerous. We receive an accurate reading on a situation and instead of accepting it as truth we transfer it to our brain where we weigh the information, just like comparing links on a search engine, selecting the one that seems to fit. The brain is also unemotional, acting like the hard drive of a computer where all the information we gain in life is stored. We search when we inquire within and then select what seems appropriate. The accurate answer may not be stored there.

If our 'search' involves a person who is a potential partner or friend we transfer the information from our brain to our heart where it becomes fired with emotion, totally clouding the instinctive and accurate information that was given before we began our efforts to examine the issue.

Accept the precision of your first instinctive reaction. If it is good then you can proceed to the brain and possibly the heart. The natural process forwards information to our heart last, knowing that once it arrives there important things can happen. Some are wonderful; others can break the human spirit or cost us our life. Don't fall into the trap of being the judge who overrules the most important evidence before you. Understanding your instincts is vital to enjoying the life you were intended to live.

15 Minute Manifestation Breakthrough

15 Minute Manifestation is a product created by Eddie Sergey. It is a breakthrough personal development product that allows you to literarily reprogram your subconscious mind to allow you to manifest the life of your dreams. If I were to pick up only one personal development product when on a tight budget, I’d definitely choose 15 Minute Manifestation. Simply because it gives me something that other products can’t give.

Now, let us understand what this product is all about and how does it impact our lives by simply tuning the subconscious portion of our brain.

At one point in my life I was in a complete financial turmoil and my life was in disarray. Neither did I see a way out of it nor did I know what to do.

At this point, you might be thinking that I am just one of the sales guy convincing you to buy this product; but believe me you’d be dead wrong to think this way! For me, it wasn’t even the 15 Minute Manifestation that helped me and put me on the right track in life.

It was a guy named Eddie Sergey.

During the post-recession period, unemployment rate was high. And this led to a substantial cut in wages. I was desperate to do ANYTHING just to earn more for a living. Not to mention that I was already in a cloud of negativity and low energy.

I read many books on law of attraction, took courses on manifestation and personal development. I even took therapist session. Neither the therapist nor the courses were of any use. I got lost without any clue of my dreams or goals.

Then I came across this guy - a multimillionaire entrepreneur who claimed to have cracked the code to communicate with the subconscious mind and bring it in tune with the conscious portion of the brain. Or as he called it, “UPGRADE THE SOFTWARE”.

Eddie used the scientific concepts to correlate our thoughts, and hence our brain to the tiniest of particle, the sub-atomic particle. He devised a technique to focus energy waves around us to create a sense of positivity. He explained how “THE EDITOR” or the subconscious part of the brain limits our abilities and keeps us away from abundance by distracting our attention. And that there is a way to naturally reprogram this subconscious mind to lead us to the natural state of abundance.

How to Deepen Your Intuition

Many people laugh at the notion of intuition but it's a very real phenomenon. You yourself may have experienced some intuitive moments. Intuition is associated with innovation and scientific discovery and it's a gift we all have. What exactly is intuition, how does it work and how can you deepen yours?

Intuition is the ability to gain knowledge without the use of reason. It's something you feel that you can't explain. It's an uncanny or inexplicable sense of knowing. You know something, but you don't know how you know what you know. You just know it.

When you have an intuitive moment, you are actually having a sensory experience. Everything we know about our world comes through our senses. Our eyes see, our ears hear, our noses smell, our tongues taste, and our hands and skin feel. The sensations from these organs are sent to our brain, where they are translated into electrical signals or impulses. Our brain then "reads" the information and tells us what we're experiencing. At least, that's what we were taught in school.

Physiologists tell us that we have nine senses. There are the basic five we learned in school and the other four are: our sense of temperature, our sense of pain, our sense of balance (which includes acceleration), and our sense of where our body is in the space around us and in relationship to all of our other body parts. We use these nine senses all the time to make sense of our world and our body in it.

Jamie Sams, one of the foremost teachers of Native American wisdom, tells us we actually have 357 sensory perceptions or "antenna of awareness." According to native teachings, everything in the universe contains energy, so everything is energy. Emotion, thought, intent, and awareness are some of the forms of energy present in us. These flows of energy are one way that we communicate with each other and with ourselves. They are also the means by which we relate to all other life forms. Each of these flows of energy has its own sensory perception to go along with it. So if we have 357 flows of energy within us, then we also have 357 sensory perceptions in us too.

In order to understand how these sensory perceptions work, imagine that your heart works like a compass, a GPS, or a mini-satellite dish, and its intuitive technology is hardwired inside you. It's helpful to think of your heart as having an antenna that sends and receives energy through your senses. When you pick up sensory signals from your antenna, the signals don't come from your brain. They come from your heart and they flow through your brain - the limbic part of your brain to be exact.

The limbic brain is responsible for all of our feeling. It's also responsible for our behaviour and our decision-making but it has no capacity for language. That's where the phrase "gut decisions" come from. Your stomach doesn't control decision-making but gut decisions "feel right." That's because the part of the brain that controls your feelings (the limbic brain) also controls your feelings. When you listen to your gut, you are simply following your feelings or listening to your heart.

Our limbic brain is very powerful. That's why we sometimes have intuitive feelings that are very strong and that contradict our rational and analytical mind. Neuroscientist Richard Restak, author of the book The Naked Brain, says that when people are forced to make decisions with only the rational part of their brain, they often end up "overthinking" things. Rational decisions usually take longer to make and are often of lower quality. Decisions made with the limbic brain, through feelings and not words, tend to be faster, higher-quality decisions. But we tend to doubt ourselves when we have these feelings because we aren't able to verbalize them. We have the feelings but then we tell ourselves the feelings are silly because we can't attach words to them.

In order to deepen your intuition:

1. recognize that intuition is a very real phenomenon.

2. remind yourself, the next time you have an intuitive moment, that you are having a sensory experience.

3. remember that innovation and new scientific discoveries flow from intuition and that intuition is a gift we all have.

4. realize that intuitive feelings come to you quickly and bring higher quality decisions when you listen to them.

5. honour and trust the feelings you are having by listening to and following their guidance.

6. meditate regularly.

Whether you want to make better decisions, solve problems more quickly, or innovate and design, tuning into your intuition is important. When you trust your intuition, you trust yourself. And when you trust yourself, the more success you'll have.
