You Control Your Destiny

As all the organs and limbs form your body, and your body, your life, you, are a whole unit built by parts, so is Destiny a whole unit built by the parts which are the Seven Powers which also control our life. Unhealthy Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Laziness, Anger, Envy, Pride.

Every event in your life can be dealt with in different ways, ways that you can choose; to run or stay, to cower or stand strong, to steal or be honest, to defend or attack, to lie or tell the truth, each moment of your life in which you have to make a choice, Destiny is right there, to determine the direction your life will take from that moment onward based on your decision and action.

Destiny is not fixed, it is as fluid as the weather, changing at any moment, and you are the master of your destiny, you just don't know it.

In fact, you do not want to know that you are the master, because the responsibility is too great, the challenge too difficult.

With every choice you have to make, even if you think you do not have a choice, if you reflect on your past, you will see that you had a choice, you probably just didn't like the choice you knew was right.

Gravity is a power of this planet and universe. It keeps everything down to the ground. It also keeps the moon in orbit around the earth and the planets in orbit around the sun. It is always drawing everything to the lowest point.

In the same way, the powers draw your life and thoughts to their lowest point. For the powers are our weaknesses, imposed on us to keep us in the often messed up human condition, the weaknesses, self-centredness and evil nature that is part of being human.

The energy that we are, which some people call the soul, but I call 'my conscience', or 'better judgment' or is commonly referred to as 'common sense' a rare commodity in the human race, is the true nature of what we are.

The battle is between the powers which are our negative qualities, keeping us down to our lowest level which is the human ego, and, our essential energy which is light. Not light just in the sense of brightness, but of weight, light and weightless, not subject to gravity.

When an event happens, and you make your choice, Destiny reevaluates if you made an unpredictable choice, and re-determines your future.

If you made a bad financial choice, Greed and Wrath will grow with regret. If you made a good choice and made a lot of money, Pride takes over, which may give rise to more Envy of others. As your taste of success propels you to recognition, you may become jealous and envious of other people who get recognition as your desire for more grows, having tasted it.

With every decision you make, good or bad, one or more of the powers will rise or diminish in you, and with that, Destiny will turn your life in another direction.

By watching out for the Seven powers that control us, as the events of the day happen, being aware as those emotions and feelings arise in your mind, and choosing to act in a positive way, more humble or honest, supportive way, you can turn your destiny in yet a different direction.

You have the power to control your destiny in this way. The immediate outcome may not be what you want, it may not be good in the sense of your financial or love life, but Destiny is a plan for the rest of your life, until you change it again, so the immediate events are virtually irrelevant.

This is what you must keep in mind with every word and action, especially with the big things that go wrong, by seeing what direction they are taking you, to the seven powers or to the light and overcoming their negative manipulations.

Everyone knows that you do not take any material possessions when you die, but you do take your character. At your funeral, the number of people who mourn your death will be in proportion to your character, not your wealth if that was acquired by an asshole character. Instead of burying you with your gold and property, they will just write you a check to take with you to the grave.

Always remember that in the face of disaster, Destiny will make a new plan for your life based on your reaction. Bitter regrets and a desire for revenge or becoming depressed and hopeless will make one plan, but accepting the situation of your life as it is at that moment, as if you are just born that day with no past, facing it with courage and strength, will force Destiny to give you new ideas and creativity, new opportunities to rebuild, start over and become a better person.

You are master of your Destiny, like it or not, believe it or not. You can test the truth of this statement if you simply recall the past big events in your life, how you reacted and how that effected you for days or months after, and how that reaction determined your following actions. Did you push people away with negativity and anger, or did you inspire people with your courage and ability to dust yourself off and start again.

Just think about your past, and learn about people who have failed, or succeeded, and learn from their reactions, was it strength of character or did it build a massive ego.

Now you can decided, are you going to control your destiny from today onwards and defy gravity, let your essence rise up, or let gravity bring you emotionally down, with your life like a leaf blowing in the wind, letting the wind of destiny take you where it and the seven powers want you to go.

Forget About Never Being Made Fun of: Here's What to Do Instead

Being made fun of is probably one of the most common fears among people with confidence and self-esteem issues. And for many a good reason.

With the possible exception of Larry David and other deliberately self-deprecating comedians, nobody likes being made fun of. When somebody makes fun of us, a part of us is involuntarily exposed beyond our control. We don't get to decide when it happens, or in front of whom, or the specific subject matter.

If we feel particularly vulnerable towards ridicule, we might feel like preventing being made fun of by only surrounding ourselves with asskissers and yes-men. But really, show me just one person who's effectively made that idea work.

Or, we might feel like not surrounding ourselves with people at all - yet another common go-to idea amongst non-fidents. And can you guess if that's really a good, sensible idea?

Yeah, I thought so.

So, what do we do about being made fun of, then?

Well, as with a great many other things in life, there are options. And, as with life in general, there's no manual. So, in practice, it really comes down to personal preference and simply winging it.

However, if we wish to take the path of confidence, there are certain things to consider.

You see, confidence is all about latitude and inclusiveness. The more confident we are, the bigger we consider ourselves. And the bigger we consider ourselves, the more we allow ourselves to contain. Even being made fun of.

This doesn't mean we should lie down and take one insult after another like a little, submissive bitch. It means we should consider the reasons we might FEEL like a little, submissive bitch. Is it someone else "making" us feel this way? Or would we feel this way at all if we weren't disposed towards it in the first place?

This is a provocative question, I know. And as such, it's all the more important to consider.

And here's something else...

Have you ever noticed how no matter what happens in any given week, satirical shows will necessarily find a way to poke fun at it?

In fact, have you ever noticed how you're not the only person being made fun of? And, indeed, have you ever noticed how anyone can, in principle, make fun of anything, at any time?

Yes, they can. And this just so happens to include you. And me. In fact, everyone.

This is one of those inescapable conditions of being human. There's no changing it.

And this is why, when we try to actively escape or refrain from being made fun of, it only makes us look even more pathetic and hilarious. Because, considering how far we've come as a civilization, certain human traits ARE still pretty inelegant.

So accept it. Forget about never being made fun of. Instead, learn to embrace and love the idea that anyone can, in principle, make fun of anything, at any time - including you. Anything else is just fear-based insecurity.

Which everybody has. It's just that confident people act in spite of it. And Hell, confident people even make fun of themselves.

MENTAL EXERCISE

1) Turn off your phone, and eliminate all other possible distractions.

2) Close your eyes.

3) Now imagine that you're 200 feet tall and made out of diamonds.

4) Get heavy on the details. Imagine your surroundings. Where are you at? Is it a city? If yes, which one, and which part of it?

Try walking around. What do people, buildings, animals, cars, streets, etc. look like from up there?

Engage your other senses as well. Are you hearing the wind more clearly up there? Maybe tasting the cool air?

Are you walking slowly and confidently? Do movements seem slower? Maybe less risky than usual?

Try doing this for 5 minutes. Notice how you feel afterwards.

It's when we think of ourselves as big that we grow a little.

The Keys To Everything You Could Imagine

Person Holding A Book

There is a place in every city, town, or village that was the "hub" of knowledge, the place to soar above the humdrum everyday. It gave you the ticket to countries one might never visit in a lifetime, meet individuals who are an inspiration to many, and actually learn the history of your country, your family, or events that happened before you were even born.

Today, the chair is empty, the light is dimmed, and the door doesn't need any oil because it doesn't open and close as much as it did in the past. The floors are shiny, the tables are just beginning to show signs of "dust", but the "silence" speaks volumes. Right there on a side table is a token of civilization, a tool that led many to the hardest decisions of their life, and in many cases, it eased anger, hostility, and violence because it told the truth, presented the facts, and did it all quietly, 24 hours a day and sometimes even in the dark hours of the night. This fabulous tool of mankind was the simple but mighty "book". The shelves are all aligned, and the jackets are straight, but the hum of minds and imaginations turning and discovering is nowhere to be found. Its miracle lies in wait for those who just don't come, the little ones who fingered the pages, and would you believe it, imagined what the pages gently guided them to. While there were facts and figures, there was also "pretend", a land of imagination, peace, and delight. Children were transformed into pilots of planes, engineers on a train, a graceful ballet dancer, a nurse who took care of life's little hurts.

When you woke up during the night with a bad dream, there was a companion on your nightstand. You could turn on the light and rescue frayed nerves by paging through a story you might have read a thousand times, but tonight it would be a beacon to safety, and to making dreaming possible again. On a cold wintry night, a book on a table near the fire was heaven with a cup of cocoa. It let you delve into a Sherlock Holmes mystery, while snuggling under a warm tartan blanket and listening to the hiss and snap of a lively fire. It may even have lulled you into peaceful repose, as your mind drifted with visions, dreams, knowledge, and adventure. This book held the key to open the vault of learning about life, and why we do and what we believe in. It gave you an opportunity to redo the story your way, but still gave you a safe road to keep moving forward, with the railings of vintage, ancient and make-believe watching your steps so you would not falter in the land of hopes, love, and success.

Today we have hand-held devices, with bright lights and chimes. You are never unconnected as your cell phone, iPhone, or hand-held computer will find the answers for you, spread the news, and even remind you what your calendar for the day is and when you have to walk, sleep, or run. With all this, your mind is strangely quiet, and gets heavy with its own weight as you ignore its tremendous powers and potentials. Your "device" doesn't even let you waste a single mini-second without making sure you have twenty opinions, directives, and features, but - just one thing is missing - your input of who you are and what you want. The machine now steps aside the realm of wonder as it directs you to other "apps" that hold even more answers that truly are not yours, but intended to influence, manage, and change you as a person. While grown-ups with all their responsibilities feel they need "instant" answers, even they miss out on a small part of being human - research, checking things out at your pace and what your inner mind directs you to. The young need to stretch their God-given talents through reaching into worlds they may never have heard of, but which they found on their own time, in their own way, and with a tool that could help them repeat it if they wanted to, put it down for a bit, and know that when their thirst for this subject arises again, they can continue through the jungle of life but they would be a leader, the director, and the ghost of past, present and future.

The next time you see a book take a moment to finger the pages, stop for a respite on a certain page, and take the time to relax, enjoy, and be you. Put the device on hold, because the majority of the games, information, and comments are not you, they belong to those who hope to influence, admonish, or alter not only you but what you believe. Your little device does not want you to grow in vision, but to follow its directives. It wants to circumvent your creativity, and special gifts of imagination and take you down the path that leads to the conclusion it finds suitable for you. Simply, take back being human, being young at heart, pretending you are a lion tamer, and get back to marking your own roads, coloring your own scenery, and building on what is such a wonderful part of you - your brain and what it can accomplish with you in charge.

We Are All Walking Resumes (By Wilson Horrell)

Image result for working hard

What kind of person are you? How do you perceive others to view you? How would you like others to view you? That's a difficult question to answer. So difficult in fact, that I don't think that most of us really get past asking ourselves the question. We go to that place in our brain and begin to ponder, but we never really go into the answer. I don't know when or how often any of us will really need to have this information, but I know it would be comforting to have it when things aren't going our way.

Last week, a friend of mine informed me that she might be losing her primary job. She sounded concerned. OF COURSE, she sounded concerned, she is losing her job! I, on the other hand, am not concerned in the least. Not only do I lack concern, but I am excited for her and her family. You see, I know what this person is. Of the three questions I posed at the beginning of this post, I know the answer to the first two. There is no one better in the world at living out life's resume. She is one of those people that when someone asks how they are doing, you know that they are just making conversation. You expect them to be doing good, cause they are good, and they deserve good. The future for her is going to be nothing but a huge payout of everything that she has done in the past, and is doing in the present. It might take a moment for the universe to serve her the fancy dinner, but make no mistake about it... she will be eating a big, fat, beefy dish of "I told you so" from my kitchen, when it plays itself out.

This friend of mine has positioned herself as intelligent, hard working, diligent, reliable, competent, loyal, tough, brave, and able to work through adversity. There is not an employer in this country that would not hire someone with these qualification. The problem is that everyone claims to have these qualities, when they need a job, but many people don't demonstrate these things consistently enough to make it part of their identity. I think it is important to remember that we are all walking resumes. People are continuously sizing us up in an effort to somehow further themselves, or make their life a little better. I don't mean that in a "sociopathic" way, I mean in it in the reality of "being human" kind of way. Some people are so aware of this that they don't allow themselves to reach their true potential, because they are constantly living inside of strict parameters that they have let the masses govern their every behavior. I want to be accepted, and live life as a good person, but I can't base my personalty and restrict my desire to live loudly based on the majority. I believe that people who live their life fully are never out of options, and always presented opportunities.

I have formed step-by-step instructions on how I need to go about becoming the person that I want to be. It is easily the most difficult set of directions that I have ever tried to follow. Stepping outside of these directions will only be setting myself up for failure. I have to concentrate on this most complex guide to becoming who I want to be, with every shred of my being. I view it as cooking in a crock-pot. These instructions have to be initiated, and then I have to re-visit time after time and make sure everything is progressing as it should. I need to stay plugged in, and supply myself with continuous, positive energy. I shouldn't expect results immediately, as these things take time. However, it's important that I don't forget what's cooking, or else my recipe will dry out and fall to pieces.

OK, are you ready? This is some seriously intense Yoda-type business. It's mind-numbingly complex and will require re-read after re-read. Print it out if you have to, because you won't be able to swallow it all at once. Here it is:

1. Decide who and what you want to be.

2. Be that person.

I know this because I continuously see this in the people in my life. I watched my best friend become a partner at his architecture firm, because he decided to. I watched a buddy take ownership and manage a profitable promotional products business, because he wanted to. I work with drunks and junkies who wake up and decide to be completely different human beings, because they are ready to. I watch my wife position herself as the best that there is in her field by constantly making herself available, and gladly willing to put in the extra time to educate not only herself, but others. These people are the best at what they do, simply because they decided to be the best at what they do. Now, I could argue about what is different about these people, or what these people have that I don't, or I can learn from these people, and move forward in my career path of becoming a better person. It's of great comfort to me to know that I can become a better person and start living a better life, at any time that I choose. The problem is that it is up to me to become that better person and live that better life. I wish that there was a pill I could take, or a package that Amazon could deliver to make these changes for me, but there is not. It is all within, free of charge, and in abundant supply. Become better. Become better, now. Ready. Set. Go! Have a great week.
