Keep on the Sunny Side

There are not many things of import in this world that you are able to directly control. Quite possibly the most important aspect of your life you will ever be able to control is the orientation of your mind and your thought process. I have learned that no matter how bad a situation is, it could always be much worse. During my time in the Navy I served on board a submarine. I don't want to bore you with the technical details, but suffice it to say it was not always a party underway. I learned during that time away from my family and civilization that it was a choice to be sad or upset about being out to sea. I thought that if I can't change being under water for months at a time, I can at least change my attitude about it.

Keep in mind that I was never overjoyed to be out to sea; however, I realized that moping around and being sad about my situation was not doing me any favors. I knew that I could be underway and miserable, or I could be underway with a good attitude. After I changed my mindset and refused to indulge in any self-pity my time on the sub became exponentially better.

I have since separated from the Navy, but still maintain the same thought process. I set a baseline for each day I have to face. That baseline is if I'm not on the boat then I'm having a good day. This is something that anybody can use to help themselves. When you wake up in the morning think to yourself of places you would never want to be, and then be comforted that you are not there. This approach to life is simple, and it will not always be easy. If you suffer the loss of someone close for instance. When faced with a situation like that understand that it is OK to be sad and miss that person. What is not OK is to stay in the pit of despair forever. I will not presume to tell anybody how long they should mourn for a loss, but I will say there comes a time when you have to pick yourself up and move forward with your life.

How do I stay positive when everything seems to be so negative? Simple, take a look at your environment and change whatever you can to better it. If the news makes you depressed, then watch less of the news. Or after you watch the news and become disheartened by what you see, find something that makes you laugh. If you're feeling blue one day, then look up pictures of puppies, kittens, ocean sunrises, etc. anything that you find happy and peaceful. Do not dwell on the things that you cannot change, but rather find the things you can and then change them.
Having a positive attitude is a trait that will take a conscious effort. You will have to learn how to best process the information that can change your mood, and then teach yourself the best way to move forward with a smile. For me, I refuse to stay sad for long. I made a choice years ago that I refuse to be a product of my environment, but rather will make my environment a product of me. Just remember that you have a choice and you have the power within yourself to make every day a good day. Be excited each morning that you wake up and can face a new day and you are given challenges that you can overcome. No matter what happens, you can always find at least one positive thing.

How to Write Powerful and Positive Affirmations

Writing affirmations is a powerful and uplifting personal experience. Affirmations are simply positive or negative statements that we make, as we go through life and many life challenges.

Our thoughts and feelings are what control our actions. Usually what we believe is how we are deep down inside.

Words are powerful and if you don't use them correctly they have the power to shape you in ways you wouldn't believe. Is this true for all statements? Not exactly, but those that we internalize do.

Writing and internalizing our affirmations become important in shaping or reshaping our habits of thought. When your thoughts change you become someone different.

How many times have you thought back to certain ways you used to act and thought to yourself now I could never be that person now? What if you had the ability to truly be and do anything you put your mind too?

Well you can, but it takes learning and practice.

We have all heard the saying from our parents "You can be anything you want to be can do anything you want to do." They weren't lying, but they didn't tell you how you can do those things.

It all starts with your mind, your thought patterns, and your actions.

How to Write Powerful Affirmations

1) Use the First Person - A majority of the time you should begin using "I" statements. ( I will... , I am... ) These statements do not have to be true statements, but statements of a personal choice or a certain behavior you desire to portray. For example, "I earn (X) amount of dollars by this day." Or "I am so happy and grateful for the positive uplifting things happening in my life."

2) Make them Declarative - Meaning leave out any adjectives or adverbs. Be brief and to the point. The objective is to make bold statements that come across as definite.

3) Use Present Tense - "I am happy." "I am 10 pounds lighter." This is usually difficult for most people because it hasn't happened yet and they have a hard time believing it putting into their mind self-doubt.

4) Commit to Your Statements - Whatever you write down decide at that moment that it is what you are going to do and follow it every single day. Take no days off. If you do you must start over from day one. Even if you don't believe what you are saying be/do it anyways. You are reshaping your mindset helping you to move forward in a powerful way each step you move forward. Read them daily and read them often... 2-3 times a day. Eventually you will begin to believe it.

Begin immediately to take to necessary steps to reshaping your mind and reshaping your world. If there are things in your life you want to change you have to power to do so no matter what the situation.

Initially it's not easy, because your habits need to be redirected into new habits. It all begins with your thinking.

When written properly affirmations can be an effective tool in creating the world you desire. Bringing forth the riches you seek mentally, emotionally, physically, financially, and spiritually.

How to Use Affirmations to Make Profound Impacts in Your Daily Life

Every morning you wake up, write down an affirmation in your handy notebook and leverage it to make good impacts throughout your day. How would you do that? Read on to find out.

Here are some examples of affirmations and the results they can produce:

1) I strengthen my relationships one level higher both at the home and work fronts

When you write the above affirmation in your notebook, it leaves an imprint in your mind. And it is the very thing that goes about making the affirmation a reality throughout the day. For instance, you pass a good compliment to a co-worker at work. You make her happy and you yourself become happy. Then you get a call from your hubby and you greet him well and also help him solve the problem he is having at hand. And you both become happier in the process. Therefore, the chain of joy and goodness goes on all along.

2) I can figure out the problem of finding my life direction

Once you have it written early in the morning, it gets ingrained in your brain. And it goes about giving you hints and signs about what actions to take to move forward and in what direction. Take little steps. For instance, you meet a friend on the way to shopping and she excitedly tells you that the novel she wrote has become a bestseller on Amazon and New York Times. That gives you an edge. You start wondering if writing is your cup of tea and you finally make a choice and go about taking further little steps until you reach your desired new goal.

2) I can improve the wellness of my family

Once you write the above affirmation after waking up from a good night's sleep, like before, your mind will start to influence the events that take place thereafter. For instance, when you go to pick up your kids from their school, you meet there a nutritionist mother you have talked to before. She starts talking about tips on health and fitness. And you ask if there is a good book you could buy regarding the topic. And in return, she gives you a free copy of her book on your desired topic that she has authored recently. While you benefit from the book, she wants you to promote it in your neighborhood and community. The book is an asset to you because as you read the tips and start applying them to your life directly, you actually improve the wellness of your family.

4) I can solve the puzzle of my complex work project

Again writing the above affirmation in your notebook before heading for work, your mind gropes for ways to help you with your problem. There is something you don't understand about your project. Who could help? While you are still working hard at it at your workplace, a colleague passes by to invite you to her fiftieth birthday party after work at the nearby restaurant. You remember that she had completed a similar work project in the past and you immediately take the opportunity to ask her about a piece of the puzzle in your project. She is able to help you out as she is more knowledgeable and skilled than you. You have a puzzle piece solved and you work on the rest of the pieces in order to integrate them together into a solution. Doing everything by yourself is almost always impossible, you gather and so if the older lady could help you out, you can take a little help from other good cooperative colleagues as well from time to time.
Summing up, affirmations could come to use in the above profound ways and you never know how they will lead you to unlock your problems and open up the mysteries behind them and materialize them through interesting solutions.

How To Work With The Law of Attraction

Millions of people have been hearing about the latest and greatest ways to help with their daily life. If you have been looking at self-improvement, then you may have heard about the Law of Attraction. This is a set of principles that state you can bring about powerful energy from your mind, and spread it across the intangible world. When you spread your energy to the world, you can literally attract a response that is going to help you out completely. That can be seen as prosperity, healthy living, and so much more. There's a beauty to this that many people are attracted to, and it's taking off in a whole new way. How do you work with this? Well, it's a matter of learning the defining lines and then moving forward to attract great things.

Writing Down What You're Focused Upon

Before you can work with the law of attraction, you must first assess where you are and where you want to go. This is a very important tool for moving forward. When you write down the things that you are stumbling over, or perhaps the things that are weighing heavy on your shoulders, you'll start to see that you need to change. You cannot change anything if you don't know that something is wrong. Start to work on this, and list things out on a piece of paper so that you can start to progress in changing them.

Meditation (Breathing)

There are several ways that you can focus on this, but most often than not, you're going to be looking to learn how to breathe right. Breathing exercises can help with stimulating your mind's eye, calming down your anxiety, and give you a certain level of power to change things that are difficult. When stress manifests, breathing slowly can help you gain control over the things that are around you. Within the confines of meditation, you can send positive energy to you, and away from you, giving you an attractive element that could very well change your life forever.

Exercising With A Purpose

Another way to start working with the law of attraction is to exercise. Not just any option, look at moving your body around so that you can release stress, engage energy levels, and focus on changing your body for the better. When you exercise with a purpose, you're going to be clearing your mind and inviting change to take root. This is a great thing, and will showcase a great deal of beauty over time.

At the end of the day, working with this notion of attraction is about self-improvement. When you start to give yourself the tools that change your daily routine, you will start to manifest positive things. As long as you continually work on evolving with your daily routine, and happiness, you'll end up with a lot of great things overall. There are a lot of amazing things in life, and if you just pursue them, from the inside out, you'll start to gain access to the keys of success across your entire life.

Alpha Point - The Truth About The Law Of Attraction and Manifestation

In 2016, the famous if not infamous little book called The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, celebrated it's 10th anniversary with, of course, a 10th anniversary special edition. It's mostly the same stuff as the 2006 edition but with a bit of updating and a new testimonial or two. This book follows on another one she compiled called How The Secret Changed My Life. Fun reads, all of them.

But...

Is it all a bunch of woo-woo hokum, or is there something to this thing called The Law of Attraction? Well, I can only boast by personal experience and I can say with certainty. Yes.

Yes? To which description?

Both.

First, there is a lot of hokum in books like The Secret. And many others I've read down through the decades, including such classics as Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles, many books by Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Marianne Williamson, and a host (read slew) of others.

There's also a lot of powerful information in all those ditties.

The so-called Law of Attraction is, to my mind, more about being in the right place at the right time. Cliché? Sure, but wait.

Someone once said that luck was the intersection of opportunity and hard work. Well, the Law of Attraction is similar. The LOA works when you put your mind and your actions together and that intersection seems to be the Alpha Point, as I call it. It's where the manifestation* takes place. (Alpha Point isn't original, by the way, but if you're the one who used it first, let me know, prove it, and I may or may not change it. (Smiley face here, if this was Facebook.)

So, then, how do you get the mind and the action to create a manifestation? And not just any manifestation; the one you say you want. (That is, if you really know what you want. It helps to know it. Most folks, when questioned, realize they don't really know.)

Here's the proverbial and expected list of how to's, with explanations:

  • You need to envision, to get a picture of, or a feeling for, what it is you say you want. And don't let me or anyone try to determine that for you. Sometimes gurus or well intended teachers/writers will say something like, "Don't just go for the material stuff. Deep down, that's not what you really want." How the hell do they know, eh? If you want money or the condo in the islands, who are they to say otherwise? So, if it's material, go for it.

  • You have to consider that it may be more complicated or complex than meets the eye. Say what? Yeah. Sometimes what we want involves all kinds of twists and turns in the material and/or spiritual realms to bring about your aim. Oh, and if it could hurt others in the process somehow, expect major delays. I'm not saying the LOA won't allow you to hurt someone; that's a judgment call. But it WILL make it extremely difficult. Just saying.

  • You need to think both long- and short-term. It can take a while for elements within your desires to arrange themselves. Patience is a definite virtue. People often give up when manifestation doesn't happen in a heart beat. Hold tight.

  • Be persistent in your thoughts and actions. There will be obstacles, with you being the major obstacle. You have mental and physical traits and habits that have a way of blocking the manifestation process. That may well be the biggest reason you seem to have trouble manifesting your desires and goals. As you put all this into practice, those blocks will begin to show themselves and you can decide how to deal with them.

  • Develop a thick skin. Not everyone in your circle of relationships is going to like your realities, your dreams, your outcomes. If you have a spouse, or niggling parent, or nagging boss, colleague, pastor, banker, chances are your dreams may cross paths with theirs in antagonistic ways. You may have to deal with some disappointment and rejection. If what you want is really what you want, you'll face it all. But if you waver even a little, that may be the sign that you don't really want it. Perhaps it's more important to please someone else. That's OK, as long as you get straight about it.

Finally, remember this:

Belief often comes in dribbles and droplets. It may take a while for you to come to terms with your own doubts about all this. And that's a good thing. We don't always know what we want, not really. As you practice this manifestation process consciously, your current creations, habits, relationships, doubts, hidden resentments and bitterness, anger, or fears may come to your attention. Maybe you didn't want to deal with them. But some of them stand in the way of your desires, your dreams, and to get around them, you must deal with them. (There's a price for everything. Even the free stuff.)

Ultimately, the journey to your manifestation is worth all the chaos it can create. After all, you are shaking things up. Changing. You may even realize you didn't want what you think you did. And in the process, discover what you REALLY do want. That's the real prize: To know what you really want and to stop wasting time on pipe dreams.

It's work, it's play, it's joy, some pain (even good change can be stressful, right?), but ultimately, you are in the driver's seat.

You can have whatever you want, truly, if you are willing to let mind meet action, face the challenges, do the work, and reap the harvest!

That's when you'll discover your personal Alpha Point. From that point forward, you will know how to manifest anything. The universe will literally roll at your feet in ecstasy.

And that's no secret!

*Manifestation, or manifestation process, isn't really something you do, exactly. It's a result. You are in fact manifesting all the time. Your thoughts, actions, beliefs, intentions, and internal stresses all serve to create manifestations. Changing any or all of those things, positively or negatively, will create a new manifestation.

Winning Friends And Influencing People (By Emette Massey)

If you've been following me, you know that I tend to write about sales, marketing, and business development topics.

So, I thought that it would be nice to start your day with something positive instead.

I recall one of favorite copywriting mentors, Gary Halbert had a great (and very healthy) way to start your day.

Best of all, Gary's morning routine did not involve a bunch of complicated workouts, routines or the typical crap you get from health gurus.

Here's how it goes...

And I quote...

  1. "Set your alarm clock to go off 10 minutes earlier than usual.
  2. The first thing, after you get up, is to immediately remake your bed.
  3. Go to the kitchen, pour yourself a glass of water and drink it all.
  4. Go to the bathroom, take care of "business," brush your teeth, wash the sleep out of your face and eyes and comb your hair.
  5. Next, put on some exercise clothes like sweatpants, a sweatshirt and take a 20-minute walk.
  6. As soon as you get back, woof down a nutritionally-dense protein drink made by mixing the content of a packet of Myoplex, Met-RX or Lean Body with eight ounces of fat-free milk and a banana.
  7. Scarf down a packet of vitamins and minerals like Dr. Julian Whitaker's "FORWARD PLUS."
  8. Take a shower.
  9. Dress in fresh, crisp clothes and go about your day."

So, there you go. A nearly complete system for success. And you won't find a simpler or more effective way to go about your day.
And while this seems overly simple, there's some "deep" stuff connecting and "writing" positive instructions to your mind and body that benefits you in all areas of your life - physical, mental and spiritual.

Now you may be wondering what does this have to do with winning friends and influencing people, right?

Victor Schwab wrote the print ad for Dale Carnegie's book How To Win Friend and Influence People. Though the ad was written over 72 years ago, even the most skillful write would be hard-pressed to top it.

This book directly ties in to Halbert and self-help. Hands down Carnegie's book is one of the best self-improvement books found anywhere!

If you have not read How To Win Friend and Influence People, then you should get your hands on this book immediately and read it cover to cover... at least once a year.

In fact, it should be an essential part of your personal and business library.

And if you'd like to step your game up a notch or two consider...

... the complete course called

... wait for it

... The Dale Carnegie Course.

It is based around his famous book, "How To Win Friends and Influence People."

As I reflect on my days as a Realtor, my buddy pushed me into the course. Not only did the thoughts of standing in front of group of total strangers and having to give talks scare the bejeebers out of me, the thought of shelling out $750 (which I didn't have at the time) certainly rattled my cage.

But I sucked it up, paid the money and stuck out the course to the end. In fact, I won an award for one of my speeches.

Let me just say, to date this has been one of the best $750 buck investments I've ever made. Bar none!

Here's the take away. Self-Improvement takes courage and constant practice. Remember fear is just a temporary state of mind. I learned that F.E.A.R. is simply False Evidence Appearing Real.

So true and I've proved it time and time again. Now, don't get me wrong, I still get the jitters when talking to groups (even small ones) but I get through it just fine. And feel proud and confident about myself when done.

Here's Your Marching Orders:

Decide to take better care of yourself. Consider adopting Gary Halbert's daily AM routine and start the day of right.

Get and read a copy of Dale Carnegie's How To Win Friends and Influence People. This is self-improvement for your life and business.

Be willing to set your ego aside and learn to conquer your F.E.A.R. It's takes developing the right mindset and a little practice but it is doable.

Until next time, I bid you success, wealth and happiness.

Message From the Universe: Smiling Is the Cure to All Problems

"Great big, ear-to-ear, open mouth smiles are responsible for far more sizzling romances, salary increases, life extensions, and calorie burning than your dentists, doctors, and financial planners will ever comprehend.

Show us your tonsils,
The Universe"

So what are you waiting for? Smile, laugh, make others laugh, be the funniest person in the room if needed, but as long as you make others and yourself smile, you remain the savior of the evening. People will always remember the people who made them laugh, who helped them feel better in a moment of sadness, a moment of depression or frustration. I know it can be hard to forget your problems all at once, but laughter appease the pain and sorrow. Even when everything around you doesn't seem to go the way you want, by working on delivering a smile, despite your existing problem, you are tricking your own subconscious mind that all will be alright, which enables you to produce that smile. From this point forward, your new found smile will help you revise the problem and no longer feel as dramatic and complex as it was in the beginning. You will approach it in a different perspective, with a different solution. All your worries will no longer plague your mood and you will feel better, even if the issue isn't yet fully resolved. Your mind will be presented with multiple effective solution as you address the problem. This is the power of your smile.

I agree it may be hard to smile when everything around you goes sour but will feeling worse help you find a more effective solution to your dilemma? I don't think so. It is all about perception and the key to solve every problem in your life is to take a step back, analyze the issue, know that you are smarter than the problem itself, that nothing can bother you and that you will respond to problem with a big smile, just to claim that you are in control of your life and nothing can make your feel unhappy. This approach will help you feel better and more apt to solving every issues you will face in your life. Let's be real here, as every human beings on Earth will be confronted with big problems, but the ones who succeed will face these problems in a calm and collected manner and with a big smile on their face. Why not be a part of that 1% of the population? The choice is yours.

Message From the Universe: FEAR Is Limited to What Your Mind Can Conceive

"There is no choice you've ever made nor any you will ever make, that will limit you as much as you may fear.

Nor even limit you at all.

How cool is that?
The Universe"

"What your mind can conceive, it can achieve" (Napolean Hill). F.E.A.R (False Expectation Appearing real) is what your mind creates when faced with difficult challenges, obstacles or whatever else hits you on a daily basis. This fear exist because your mind determined the feasibility of overcoming this obstacle or challenge. If too difficult, your mind will look for ways to avoid this path and find something easier to accomplish. This approach is common to all humans and for the faint at heart. However, the strong characters will face adversity heads on and fight it until their last breath. Whatever doesn't kill you will only make you stronger so why not take that chance? Obviously, you want to avoid jumping in a basin of Piranhas during feeding time, that would be plain stupid. That is not facing your fear, that is simply committing suicide. I am talking about daily problems you will need to face and find solutions. All the choices you make in your life are choices with positive or negative repercussions. No one can get it right the first time around. The most successful people are Earth have made tons of mistakes along their path so you are no different. Embrace these mistakes and learn from them.

When it comes to being a success, time and energy is required and nothing will come easy. More difficult the path, bigger the success. It is apparent that once you start noticing major issues, you need to address them the best way you can, and not ignore them. You want to focus on solving problems and look into diversifying your opportunities. It is important to focus on your work, but like in the finance world, diversifying your stock portfolio is a must to avoid losing your shirt. Do different things, open your eyes to opportunities, stay within your range of expert knowledge, and if one thing doesn't work, don't be afraid to change path for a better future. You want to work smart and succeed so you can feel accomplished. Success is not defined by the amount of money you have in the bank but most importantly by the amount of people you were able to help along the way to your success. You want to be a part of a positive change in this planet, and focus on helping as many individuals as you can. This is what life is worth living for.

Message From the Universe: The Big Dream Theory!

"When pondering on the vastness of the cosmos, please keep in mind that it goes even farther inward from where you now sit, than outward.

Yeah, you're deep.
The Universe"

Just imagine what happened a few seconds prior to the Big Bang, some time back, 13.1 billion of years ago. Everything you see around you, galaxies, planets, stars, the dark matter, whatever else was included in the cosmos you see today, were all compressed into a one single point of singularity, and then BOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM! The ultimate explosion that cannot be compared to anything we will ever experience in our lifetime. Everything started inward prior to going outward. That big crunch occurred right before the big bang and the Universe as you see it is the direct result of that explosion. We have now the dark energy that is a part of the mathematical equation that constitute this Universe. An energy that pushes galaxies away from each other, that allows the Universe to grow exponentially every second of every minute of every hour of the day. Since the hubble telescope is limited to the origin of the big bang, it is difficult to determine the exact cause of that big crunch, what triggered the surrounding galaxies and everything else to decide to reverse its path back to this point of singularity. Was there a reverse dark energy? Instead of pushing galaxies away from each other, it was absorbing them towards what we can assume to be a big black hole? That big black hole was the point of singularity without the characteristics of exploding after inhaling everything in its path. What was the big crunch is something that scientists can't really explain, or even comprehend how it occurred on that specific moment in time and space.

Everything that is being written today about this specific subject is based on assumptions, theories, mere possibilities of what could have happened and under which circumstances. No one will ever be able to prove, with accuracy, whatever happened at that time. Whatever it is, the way you live your life should be based on you being able to control your thoughts, which indirectly controls outcomes in your life and the challenges you face every day are because of your own creation. Your mind is able anticipate outcomes because of past similar experiences, so you feel more read and able to successfully cross these difficult times. Everything starts from within you and the energy you exert everyday, either positive or negative, is based on how you approach life in general. If you let the past control you, the outcome of your future will remain bleak, at best. Learn to let go of the past, and focus on the present. Accept that you have no control over a lot of things occurring in your lifetime, but you do have control over your happiness. You can decide to either be happy, or miserable. You choose what you desire the most. Happiness doesn't happen to you, it happens from within you. Everything starts from there.

3 Seemingly Simple Motivational Tricks You May Have Ignored

Motivation comes and goes.

It's rare for even high achievers to feel motivated every single second of the day.

Crap happens and you are guaranteed to get hit again soon. The question is whether you are able to pick yourself up and keep going.

"It isn't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward," that's what Rocky said.

Here's 3 basic seemingly silly ways you can use to motivate yourself in the hard times.

Silly Method #1 What Actually Motivates You?

Jesus Christ, isn't that stating the obvious?

Well, it's funny that some people may have never thought about this question in their entire life while chasing what works for others.

Motivation is unique. It's a very personal, specific or sometimes strange to us.

To Rocky, it may be his family. But to you, maybe it's your ability to experience total financial or sexual freedom.

There's nothing wrong of owning your emotional trigger points even though it might sound weird, "bad" or unethical to others.

Know what fires you up most, what you are passionate about, and own that identity.

Silly Method #2 Be Carefree In The First 2 Hours Of Your Day

In other words, begin your day with a wonderful morning ritual.

Thousands of people have talked about the benefits of having a success morning ritual. While I normally hate to be on the side of the majority, it's an absolute must-do if you want to generate motivation.

Your first 2 hours should always be given to yourself as a gift. It's your sacred time to take care of yourself first.

It's for you to get centered, get energized, get refreshed, get positive, get motivated and get ready to get focused for the rest of the day. (How many "gets" are there?)

It's a quiet period for you to take care of your body, your mind, your emotions and your spirituality.

Affirmations, visualizations, exercises, cold showers, meditation, goals reminder, gratitude practice, green drinks, reading, watching Ted-talks are all good activities to embark your day.

Love yourself and find out your unique ritual that gives you most positivity, liveliness, fun and you'll be motivated to dominate the rest of the day.

Silly Method #3 Pump It Up!

This is my one of favorites.

Music has a direct impact to your emotional state and it doesn't make sense if you don't turn on some high energy music for great beats and wonderful blood pumping when you feel unmotivated.

Most of the time my go-tos are the Electronic Dance Music from DJs like The Chainsmokers, Avicii, Zedd, Tiesto etc.

But sometimes I also groove with the classics in the 90s, recent commercial hits or even some movie theme songs.

It's one of the fastest way to motivate yourself anytime you want.

Go choose your soundtrack, pick your mixes and get yourself back to the peak positive state!

7 Helpful Tips To Sustain Your Motivation

When it pertains to getting things done, motivation can be hard to come by. Yet, that is precisely what is required. A small amount of motivation is needed to do little, simple things, like brushing your teeth. Larger jobs require more motivation to complete.

But how do you find motivation when you have none?

Discover how to really motivate yourself and you'll achieve more:

1. Use pain. If you cannot complete a specific job, what are the consequences? It may simply be the inconvenience of having more to do the following day. Or it could be the possibility of someone stopping by and seeing how dirty your home is.

Create several good reasons why failing to do complete a task would be painful to you.

2. Use satisfaction. Saving back $25 today might not be too exciting, but the vacation getaway you'll be taking next year is pretty terrific. Remind yourself of all the advantages you'll receive. Make a long list that will help to keep the fire burning inside to effectively handle those undesirable or dull tasks.

Envision the future you expect to enjoy from getting your jobs completed. Rehearse your successes in your mind over and over. Produce an image that motivates you take the next action enthusiastically.

3. Set short-term objectives. It's hard to stay motivated on a goal for more than 8-10 weeks. So, if you have a goal that will require a year to achieve, you'll run out of gas before you achieve success.

Break objectives that take a prolonged amount of time into smaller sized goals that can be achieved within 2 months.

To paraphrase Henry Ford, "If you take a large job, and break it into small parts, you'll make it easy."

4. Make the job more satisfying. Raking the leaves might seem like a terrible way to spend the afternoon, but what if you listened to your favorite music while you raked? You could even invite a few friends over for a cookout and ask them each to bring a rake, for a "barbecue raking" party!

Ask yourself, "How can I make this task as pleasurable as possible?" then listen to the responses you get.

5. Give yourself a reward. You would not go to work daily if you didn't earn money. The benefit you get suffices to keep you returning every day. Apply the very same idea to keep your motivation high enough to get things done. Think about a couple of things you truly take pleasure in and utilize them as motivation.

Just feeling pleased with your achievements can be a type of reward. Those that struggle with motivation are often hard on themselves. Enjoy your accomplishments and you can be sure to enjoy more progress in the future.

6. Take a deep breath. Few things will drain your motivation faster than an over-stimulated mind. Stay clear on what you're attempting to achieve and concentrate on the most direct path to obtain it. Deal with one task before moving on to another.

Keep your brain focused on your current job. Meditation is an effective tool for learning how to focus better.

7. Include another person. Going to the fitness center daily can be difficult. However if you know your exercise partner is awaiting you, it's harder to stay home. The presence of others can increase your level of commitment. Reach out to a friend.

Without motivation, willpower is the only option, and willpower is far more difficult to sustain than motivation. Learning how to control your motivation comes with learning how to manage yourself. There's little that can't be accomplished when you find out how to manipulate your level of motivation. Even the most difficult jobs end up being manageable.

How Can You Choose to Be Happy in Life?

Are you happy with your life right this moment? What are your feelings and emotions? The truth is no matter what the circumstances are, your mind is a great asset and you can manoeuvre it to a happy mood by choosing to be happy. Now how do you manage that? Read on for fruitful highlights.

Here are some worthy and helpful scenarios:

1) Purge your negative thoughts and focus at best on positive stuff. It can be an upcoming show you will be visiting or a soccer game you will be watching at the stadium. Keep your thoughts on this stuff and you will switch to a happy mood.

2) Give a surprise gift to your spouse. Buy her some flowers, for example. Burgundy roses would be ideal. It will convey to her how much you love her. Seeing her happy you will be happy.

3) You are stressed at work. You are having the blues for the day. Stop your work and start to have a jovial conversation with a colleague. Have coffee together. And then come back to your work. You are already enlightened and you can choose to be happy while you continue with your work.

4) Your children are shouting and screaming at each other at your home while you are trying to write a chapter of a book you are authoring. Instead of scolding them, distract from your work and find out what the problem is. Naturally the chaos was disturbing your work. So choose to be happy and make your children happy by solving their problem whatever it is. Give them money to buy tickets for a good movie outside of your home accompanied by your wife. That way your peace of mind is restored and you happily continue with your work of writing your passion book.

5) You made a gross mistake as a boss in your company and it is costing you millions of dollars. Don't let that eat your head. In a cool, composed way, discuss it with your subordinates. If you are really endangered, you can consider affiliation with another similar company and even merging with one, minimizing the losses greatly. So you have tackled the situation adeptly without going bankrupt. Therefore, you have all the reasons to choose to be happy.

Summing up happiness over stress and worry is just a state of mind. You can be as happy as you make up your mind to be. Don't let your mind wander through discomfort and dissatisfaction. Instead be solution-oriented and you can always choose to be happy.

The Amazing Short Story Of Jyothi Reddy - CEO Of A Software Company

Who does not like to read inspirational stories?

I believe that these types of stories help people like you and I see what some powerful people had to go through in order to be at the positions they are at now. There is a misconception that the people at the top, have always been at the top. This is not the case for this woman.

Today, I bring you the inspirational story of Mrs. Jyothi Reddy, the CEO of a software company in the United States of America. She had to go through a lot to experience the luxury she has today.

Jyothi was born in a very poor family in India in the year 1970. She was the youngest amongst five daughters that her parents had. Her parent's financial situation was so bad that Jyothi's family decided to put her in a welfare orphanage. However, due to the strict rules of the orphanage, she had to be declared a 'motherless child' and that is how she got into the orphanage. She had a tough time at the orphanage and had to undergo the trauma of never being able to even see her mother during her stay at the orphanage. She lived all by herself but did not allow her spirits to go down.

She attended a government school while she was at the orphanage. While she was at the government school, she took computer courses to get the eligibility to work in the United States. When she arrived in the United States, she had two jobs. Those two jobs were pumping customer's gas at the station and she also worked as a babysitter.

She saved 40,000 dollars in cash over the course of 15 years working those two jobs. With that money, she bought her own office in Arizona. Her company in Arizona deals with Visa processing. She has turned that Visa processing company to one of the biggest software companies in the United States.

Jyothi decided to deal with life in her own practical way. She learned the value of life through all the hardship and adversity that she had to face. From being a field laborer, she rose to own a software company in the U.S. and now proudly operates as its CEO. She is a living example for women in rural India and elsewhere in the world to follow their dreams to success no matter what circumstance that they are in.

If you put your mind to it, you can experience success to. All you have to do is find something that you are passionate about. Starting a business is never easy and it can be emotionally and financially draining. But if you are strong like this woman, you will make it.

Message From the Universe: When Your Thoughts Becomes a Reality

"Are you so sure it's not the dancer who creates the music she moves to? Or the painter who manifests the mountains he captures? Or the tycoon who builds the empire before there's a dime?

Whatever you want, let it exist first in your mind, imagine every nuance and consideration, let the walls have substance, the halls have depth, and the money have weight in the palm of your hand, and then all that's necessary to bring it to pass will be drawn unto you.

Sneaky, clever, foxy, wry -
The Universe"

Everything in your life will start with a thought that your mind and soul created. If positive in nature, you will feel good about it, inspired and very energetic about the possibilities of it becoming a reality. You work towards making your dreams come true and will stop at nothing to bring them to term. Forget the outside influence as they do not understand your passion for success and relentless pursuit to becoming the best. Life is to short to just follow the crowd and do what others are doing to just be accepted. Forget that approach to life. It is reserved ONLY for the weak minded people. If you are strong, you need to show it to yourself that you will never let yourself get influenced by those who are too scared to take risk and fear that others are courageous enough to follow their dreams and accomplishing great things in life. They are mostly afraid to be left behind with their miserable jobs and not moving towards anything.

Stay away from people like that and whatever you do today, do it for yourself. Don't wait for others approval to move forward or taking action. No one is concerned with your welfare or wishes you success. Everyone focuses on themselves and their own success so they do not have time to focus on yours. So when it comes to sharing your life on social media, think twice before spilling out the beans by posting everything about your life, including your dreams and goals. You will ONLY attract negativity coming your way and you don't need that at the beginning stage of your venture. Keep the important things to yourself and only share the crap on social media that would have NO impact in your life.

How to Enjoy the Simple Things in Life Without Your Life Becoming Too Redundant

What are some of the simple things in life from which you can extract happiness? Your life may not get too blatant that way. How is it possible? Read on to find out.

Some of the life's simple things are a baby's smile or giving a peck on the cheek of your child. These are something to rely on to give you momentary joy which can last a lifetime in fact. You will soon know how.

Sharing a joke or laugh with your significant other gets you out of the blues instantly. How about watching a movie together with your family? These are equally light heartening and happy moments which you would like to capture and savor.

Making a home-made cake or pie together with your children is worth the fun, laughter, chaos and pleasure and eventually having it together gives you just as much delight. How about playing with your children at the nearby park? Being in touch with mother earth is not only healthy but also heightens the spirits of your children, yourself included.

Enjoying your colleague's 50th birthday and attending a seminar on a topic you like together with your colleague are all a break from the routine work and should give you immense joy, without bringing in boredom or monotony.

These are all examples of the simple stuff in life which help you to distract your mind in a good kind of way, memories of which may stay with you a long time. In order to recall these moments a few months or even years later, you can jot them down in a journal and go through them when you feel like and smile and pass off your time relaxedly and happily.

Additionally, in order to elevate this experience, you can write a story plot including these beautiful moments and publish it online or offline and share your lovely, happy moments with a huge audience.

These are two ways to capture the happy moments of your life. Another simple way would be to snap with your digital camera or even better still, a good cell phone and keep them in a safe place from where you can extract them time and again, reminisce and feel happy again.

This way the happy moments in your life, which are just simple stuff, no way makes your life redundant. It is a recurring process to keep giving you joy, filled with more happy moments.

Law Of Attraction And How to Use It!

Image result for happy life

We live in a world of laws, and it is the key law of the universe that I wish to tell you about today, and that is the Law Of Attraction. You see, the LoA states that whatever you think about most dominantly in your mind you will begin to attract into existence. For example, have you ever longed to see an old friend? I mean, thought about this person almost to the point of obsessing over them for days on end and out of the blue someone else begins to talk about that person, or even better, they call you up to talk out of the blue? Now, all that obsessing and thinking simply created that situation into happening. You, through the secret law of attraction brought that into your life.

Obviously, that may have gone way over your head if you haven't heard this before, I would ask that you stick with me through this article and I promise you will be in a happier mood than when you began this journey of personal growth.

Your thoughts put out frequencies into the world, these frequencies have vibrations (you've heard of good vibes?) which will begin to attract anything else of the same likeness, being that all things are in constant motion and vibrating matter. You can begin to feel happy and excitement and like a magnet you will begin to attract the things that you want in life, cars, homes, and health.Though, the opposite is true if you are thinking negative thoughts, say for instance, you are thinking bitter and angry thoughts of debt and incompetence, you will naturally attract more debt, being that you are putting all your focus and thought on the word, "debt."

What do you really want in life, where do you see yourself, what are you doing? I would ask that you write it down and visualize yourself already having the things that you want, that's right, see them in the present tense and in doing so you affirm it to yourself. The universe is like a catalog, endless and full, use it to your full advantage, this is your life we're talking about. Remember to feel excited and joyful when doing this exercise. Passion allows things to manifest even faster, being that you are revving up the vibrations.

3 Steps To Take:

  • Ask - You will attract like a magnet the things you need in life if you use a laser like focus to contemplate them day in and day out.
  • Believe - Know with unending faith that you will have this want, in the time that is perfect for you.
  • Receive - The last step is to receive the things you need with a wonderful and loving gratitude, being so joyful that you didn't get discouraged and had self-doubt.

Many pessimistic people like myself have a hard time with this at first, freaking themselves out by learning the power of the secret. Pessimist's know that their thoughts always run towards the negative realm of ideas and situations. Hope is around the corner in the fact that scientists have proven that a positive thought is hundreds of times more powerful than a negative thought, so, understand that when you train your mind to become an optimist (over time, through personal development) and you develop a passion for the things you desire it will manifest more quickly than if it were a negative thought and action. So, remember to give your positive thinking a tune-up if it has been on the back burner for a while.

Another good thing about the Law of Attraction is that the universe has a time delay switch for the thoughts that you put into it. That's to say that, not everything will manifest from your thoughts all at once, it would be terrible if you thought about flock of seagulls ruining your party and within seconds they appeared and started relieving themselves everywhere. If you think a bad thought here and there, don't be too alarmed.

With the hundreds of thousands of thoughts you have throughout the day, this may all seem too overwhelming to you, are you wondering how to keep track of all those thoughts, and how to rid all the bad thoughts? Simply put, our thoughts give off feelings inside our minds and bodies, this is an easy way that the universe gave us to have and idea about what we are creating in our life and for our future, i.e. good results.

Good Feelings To Bring Good Things-

Excitement, Joy, Love, An Emotional High, Gratitude.

Bad Feelings That Bring Bad Things-

Depression, Anger, Self Doubt, Anxiety.

Remember, you get what you are feeling about, not what you are thinking about. Feeling comes from the core of your body and is a more accurate gauge on what will manifest. If you are feeling terrible, having a no good day, your day will continue to spiral downwards until guess what? Until you put a stop to that terrible feeling and shift your emotions more positively to create a wonderful change for your entire day.

Recommended Tasks To Help Get Out Of Your Bad Mood:

Turn on happy music.

Play with your family pet.

Go for a walk / run.

Read.

Write a list of all the things that you are grateful for.

Have fun with this, enjoy yourself, try different things. One of my favorite things to do is lay in bed at night and think of all the things I am grateful for and when I am emotionally high I think long and focused on the one thing I want most. Now, it is easier for some to start with small things, like I maybe more followers on your blog or subscribers, set a number and focus on it.

"Thoughts become things."

There is so much more to be said about LoA, so please stop by [https://illnessadaptation.com/] for more recommended reading and personal development articles to self achievement. You will find plenty of personal growth material to keep you feeling more abundantly and joyful. You already know by reading this article that being in a happy state of mind will bring more abundance than you ever knew possible, right? So do it, head over to my blog and work on yourself.

Message From the Universe: If You Can Think It, You Can Have It

"If you can imagine it, you can have it. This is the name of the game. This is the lesson to learn. It couldn't be any easier. Reality is not what your eyes show your mind, but what your mind creates for your eyes to see. You are not limited by logic, the past, or the world around you. You are not of the world around you. You are supernatural, pure spirit.

You came first. Magic, miracles, and luck are the consequences of understanding this, the inevitable result of dreaming and acting in spite of appearances.

You are ever so close. Simply stay the course. It won't be very much longer.

Soul-Power,
The Universe"

So what are you waiting for? Get your positive thoughts going and think whatever you desire. There are no limits, ladies and gentlemen to what your mind can conceive, as everything you dream about and believe, it will achieve it above and beyond your wildest imagination. Do not worry about HOW it will all happen, as the Universe is solely responsible for making all your dream a reality. There is no logic when it comes to making things come true, because if you base yourself on that, you won't even believe what is your definition of reality. You may think that what your mind creates for your eyes to see is only reserved to just a few handful amount of people and you couldn't be a part of that elite group. You then allow these thoughts to come into your mind and destroy the hard work you been establishing for the past few months. Remove these thoughts from your mind and only allow the ones that your imagination can create. When I say create, you need to take into consideration the belief and action you put behind that imagination.

The future you create for yourself is a future that has NO LIMITS. A future that is filled with opportunities, challenges, obstacles, set backs, some successes but also plenty of failures. So when the failures do appear, will you just shut down and allow life to take over your mind or will you fight back? What does your mind tell you? Is your inner voice talking to you and letting you know that everything will be alright, you just need to keep going and do not look back. Dream the dreams your mind created and allow your subconscious mind to direct you into the path of righteousness. There is no straight line to success but because of your positive attitude, I am sure you will anticipate the turns and angles that life will throw at you on the roach of success.

Why Does Being More Stoic Help You?

Being more stoic means being indifferent to pain or pleasure. If you get too happy, there will be a low time coming for you, which may throw you off balance. This is because joy and sorrow come by turns. On the other hand, if you are so sad that you cannot come out of your painful state, the only person who can help you is you. So you need to work on yourself in that area. In both the cases being stoic will help you a lot. Read on for more highlights.

If you are in a happy or sad situation, being stoic will help you stay calm and integrated. Why is that? Because God does not throw more challenges nor does He give you better news. If you like this condition, teach yourself to be stoic.

Being stoic especially helps you go through hard times. You lose a lot of money or you have to bear the loss of someone dear - you cannot have them back but teaching yourself to be stoic, you can handle the situations better. The same happens when you divorce, lose a job, have enemies, hold different point of views with your best friend, are pestered constantly by your naughty child and the list goes on. All the situations I mention here are difficult to handle but if you know how to be stoic, you will quickly come out of your situation healthy and mentally sound.

What if you stay stoic during happy situations for instance, your birthday celebration, your marriage anniversary, the birth of a child and so on, would that look odd? Well, wear a smile or grin from time to time, but it helps not to get overexcited but keep your mind and heart at peace and quiet.

God will not test you hopefully. And you can maintain a healthy work/life balance. Your relationships with your children, spouse, boss, colleagues, friends and even strangers will thrive. You do enjoy these companionships but you don't let yourself be super happy but stay stoic.

How about sad times? Does being stoic and not being gloomy and teary look awkward? Not exactly - rather it shows your strength and courage in the face of overwhelming situations. Your heart may be heavy but on the outside you exhibit a pleasant appearance so that people are unable to detect your agony or displeasure. In this case you actually show brevity.

Summing up, happy or sad times, try to stay stoic and humble. It helps you transition life in comfortable, non-agonizing ways. People may be surprised at the expression you wear, without showing any emotion in good or bad times but they will get used to it once they come to know the real you. You don't have to be a people pleaser. The situations you go through in life are yours to handle, not others; so it is up to you to be indifferent to pain or pleasure or more exactly, simply be stoic.

Change Is Good (By Clarena Wise)

On my fourteenth birthday, my grandmother gave me a bottle of a wildly popular, fairly expensive perfume. My mother hinted to her, that perhaps the fragrance was a bit too 'grown-up' for me. Needless to say, my teenage ego soared, and I've worn this scent ever since.

The other day I noticed that after spritzing my arms and neck generously with my beloved spray, that I'd broken out into hives. Large, painful welts erupted all over my arms, neck and parts of my face. It was horrible, and yet I refused to believe that my discomfort was the result of my traditional Eau de Toilette. As a precaution, I discontinued its use and vowed to recommit to it after a few weeks. Only a few days had passed before I was drenching my skin in its delicate aroma again. Moments later, I was clawing at my skin, whimpering in pain. That was that, my love affair with Acme Fragrance B was over.

This upsetting event was yet another addition to the favorites I'd lost over the years. At the age of twenty-five, I said goodbye to dairy products after a triple scoop of ice cream left me grabbing my stomach in agony, at what felt like tiny shards of glass moving through my intestines. At the age of thirty, I had to say Adios to soda after noticing that my eyelids would jump so intensely after a few sips, that I could barely see. I took a swig of Sprite recently... it still happens. At age forty, I bid farewell to gummy bears. And honestly, it'd been easier to give up some friendships than to give up gummy bears. Anytime I eat them now (I cheat), I get one of the worse migraines ever.

And now at forty-five, I would have to alter the segment of my morning ritual pertaining to my olfactory indulgence. BUMMER! Finding a lesson in everything, I saw this as an opportunity to try a new perfume. Change is inevitable, and not always a bad thing. Just because you've been doing something for the past twenty years, doesn't mean that you must continue to do it for the next twenty years. Especially if it's no longer working for you.

Some of you right now are at jobs that you absolutely hate, but because you've been there for ten years...

Some of you are in stagnant relationships that are bad for your health, but because you fear being alone...

Some of you have never stepped foot outside of the city that you grew up in, but because your mamma and daddy never left the city either...

My point... pay attention to what your mind, body and soul is telling you. Don't ignore those cues indicating that change is not only necessary, but vital. Life was not meant to be lived in discomfort.

Message From the Universe: Knowing How Much It Takes to Succeed

"Some folks, not having lived perhaps as much as you, endured as much, or loved as much, simply cannot see the truth of a situation, disagreement, or relationship as clearly as you.

And so, it's wise to keep in mind, that it's not their fault.

Can you see this?
The Universe"

Here is the scenario: You work your butt off, years after years, where you struggle, sacrifice, lose out on your social life, miss family events (I wouldn't recommend that as family always comes first) and at the end, you make it big. However, during your difficult journey, you see your friends enjoying life, living paycheck by paycheck, without any worries about life. They make fun of you because of how dedicated you are to your success, some will even try to convince you that your idea might not be as great as you see it. Your mind is stronger to what your ears hear on a daily basis, which is mostly negative comments towards your dreams. No one really knows how much you endured throughout your challenges and obstacles. To be honest, it is not their fault and you can't accuse them of not understanding you. You might see them come to you for financial help after you have reach ultimate success, and they might take you for granted for all the new found fortune you've been blessed with. They don't realize what it took for you to get to where you are TODAY. For them, you are the new BANK that was just built in the corner of the street.

Because no one did what you did to accomplish your dreams, they will never know the value of hard work. They may be working very hard at the office, but not remotely close to what you did for your business. They are too afraid to do what you did and do not realize or comprehend how your hard work did all of what you see today. Sometimes, you can't even realize it as it becomes so distant to you as well. We seem to forget how much work it required because time has passed, and even though you know everything in life requires work, time and patience, you tend to forget all of what was required for you to make it as big as you did. It's important to help others as well, as you been blessed with not just material wealth, but mental wealth as well. You can redo all of what you see in a heartbeat, including all of the struggling to be successful again. No one can really know what you went though unless they lived with you 24/7. Do not even waste your time in trying to explain that to someone who needs financial help. The amount that you give is really up to you, but make sure you are clear with them that you are not their LOCAL bank where they can withdraw money whenever it's needed. You need to help others help themselves. Just like the old adage: "You can buy a fish to someone and feed them for a day, of you can teach them to fish and feed them for life". Your knowledge is worth way more than how much you have in your bank account.
