Never Let Anyone, Including Yourself, Diminish Your Confidence

I was talking to an influential woman recently who shared with me that she felt that women were often their own worst enemies. She shared an event where she promoted a woman in her company and the woman's reaction was "Really? You think I am ready? Wow.". She also promoted a man and his reaction was quite distinct. He said, "Thank you for recognizing my achievements and hard work." Same situation, different reactions. The man's was one of confidence and the woman's was one of a weak relationship to her own value and confidence.

I would have to speak to her to find out what happened to her or why she had diminished confidence. I can tell you in all my work with women, this is not uncommon. Women often downplay their worth which shows up in not negotiating and standing for a salary they deserve (only 7% of women negotiate for their salaries compared to 53% of men). It also shows up in not getting positions they want and deserve.

One of the most common symptom of this diminished confidence occurs when a woman is acknowledged. Often her reaction is to downplay it, give credit somewhere other than with herself or to say thank you to be polite but have thoughts about being a fraud.

Some other symptoms of diminished confidence are (list not comprehensive):

  • You have a recurring sinking feeling of doubt
  • If you find yourself having moments of clarity and moments of doubt
  • You hate the question, "What do you do?"
  • When you say what you do, it is a long winded explanation
  • When you want something, you talk and talk and talk and talk... you don't simply state what you want.
  • You are not direct/ you expect people to 'get it' when you talk or ask questions.
  • You get emotional when challenged or questioned

If you want to build up your confidence, take these steps:

1. Recognize that you have diminished confidence.

2. Than you have to engage in the question- what would be possible if I were more confident, and answer that for yourself.

3. What happened?

a. Often a lack of confidence is rooted in evidence you have gathered from past failures.

b. Locate the failure(s)- what happened and then what conclusions and decisions you have made.

c. Notice that your decisions are running your life- not your past failures.

d. When you notice that those decisions are at the root cause of your diminished confidence, let go of those decisions.

e. Make a new decision about yourself and go through your day practicing acting out of that new decision.

4. BONUS: What would you do if you were confident that you are not doing? Now, go do that.

By simply doing an exercise you can boost your own confidence. When you are confident, you can go after what you want and stand for getting it (whatever it is!). I would love to hear from you after you practice elevating your confidence.

You've Got To Stop Living In The Place Of Fear And Doubt

Be Careful What You Give Your Attention To

Fear and doubt are like uninvited guests, who show up for the night and overstay their welcome. They have nothing to impart other than a distorted reality. We fear what we don't understand and then doubt ourselves. This steals away the preciousness of the present moment because we succumb to a fictitious reality. Have you experienced something like this, whereby fear and doubt convinced you of something that wasn't true? You wouldn't be wrong in succumbing to this scenario because they collaborate to pull us into a pit of despair.

But it needn't be this way, since we can choose to see things differently. For example, when the Coronavirus pandemic started, there was a lot of fear and negativity perpetuated by the mainstream media. They hijack our attention by reporting bits and pieces of the actual story. I immediately turned my attention to the health professionals, such as infectious disease experts, epidemiologists, virologists and senior health experts. As time went on, I was reassured that what the media was depicting was not reality but a false narrative to sell a story. I'm not suggesting the virus is anything to ignore, but we must be careful what we give our attention to because it may not be serving our best interests.

Think about the areas of your life where fear and doubt have gained a foothold? Perhaps it is your relationships, finances, career, your dreams and highest ambitions? If I asked you to journal the narrative fear and doubt promote, what would you write? Is it lack of choice? Self worthiness or self-esteem? It's important we understand what we're up against, so we can deal with it effectively. To overcome fear and doubt, we must first understand how they operate in our life. They try to undermine us, like a virus weaving its way through our thoughts. Either way, we must confront our limiting beliefs and analyse them for what they are; an unrealistic plan to sabotage us.

We've Got To Show Up Fully For Our Dreams

Fear and doubt offer nothing in return, other than to steal our joy and happiness. In contrast, confidence and encouragement are allies that work together to support our goals. We ought to sow the seeds of these virtues in our psyche and extract fear and doubt from our minds. Fear is the enemy of confidence because it tries to convince us of an unfavourable future. However, confidence moves towards tomorrow armed with conviction to achieve excellence. This doesn't mean we must eradicate fear from our lives but acknowledge it for what it is. As the self-help author Susan Jeffers once wrote: Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway.

That is, we walk towards our fears and take inspired action, regardless. Because every time we overcome fear, we silence our doubts and lay to rest the hijackers of tomorrow. Fear and doubt will try to steal our best laid plans. But it is not enough to ignore them, we must face them directly and change the narrative they promote. Consider this in your own life. What have you overcome in recent times that fear and doubt tried to sell you? Perhaps it was entering a new relationship, starting your own business, or leaving a lucrative career? Sometimes fear and doubt can show up as an unwanted gift, presented by those we love. Family and friends will convince us not to change careers or get intimately involved with that person because they are no good for us.

But this is like asking those who've never been where you're going for directions. You assume because they are wiser, they hold the answers, but they may not be the answers for you. So, question everything and test it for yourself, to see whether it will work for you. It is better to make a hundred mistakes on your own, than live inauthentically based on other people's opinions. We've got to show up for our dreams and command them fully, irrespective of what others think. It requires moving through our fears and doubts, which accompanying us on this journey of life. Because when we reach our ultimate destination, we will have overcome these mountainous hurdles through hard work and perseverance.

Knowing this, I invite you to make time to examine areas of your life where fear and doubt have infiltrated. What is the message they're trying to sell you? Is it real? Can you be sure that fear and doubt is real? What do you want for your life? Write down two columns and examine your fears and doubts on one side and your vision and purpose on the other. After you've explored each area, sit with your feelings and note which area you are leaning towards? Do you want to be an 80-year-old who was allowed their fears and doubts to overcome them, or do you want to be an 80-year-old who has lived the best version of their life? Either way, you get to decide the storyline for your life, so make it a remarkable one!

The Extent Of Success

Woman Standing on Cliff

According to an article I read successful individuals are wiling to help others without expecting any return. It doesn't happen by accident or luck. It is founded a day at a time; the reason, why it should be cultivated and shared. Successful people are trying to work out and to confront the fears that hold most people back because our two biggest enemies to succeed are fear and doubt.

We need to make a habit throughout our life of doing the things that threaten us. So, we need to be ruthless and face our fear. Our ability to withstand our fear means that we are a successful person in one way or another. If we are ambitious and we decide to be on top, then, we do the things that hinder us in succeeding.

Commitment is likewise needed in reaching our goals. People who are committed to what they do lead a very meaningful and productive lives because caring and passion about give us a sense of satisfaction. We love what we do. We are willing to make sacrifices that an average person is not willing to do and make.

We work harder than most and make sure things get done. We are proud of our accomplishments especially if we see things getting completed and we take charge when necessary. We are purpose-riven and goal-oriented. We don't easily give up. We take responsibilities of the consequences of our actions.even if we make difficult choices in life and stand by them.

When we want something, we make it happen. The world's greatest achievers are those who have stayed focused on their goals and been consistent in their efforts despite failures and frustrations.

We pretty well know that there is much to achieve and much good in this world. We also know the things that are worth fighting for. Our optimism and resilience help us in making a better and successful future.

In fact, our unwavering confidence is a step closer to success. As long as we believe that we can do it and make it possible, then nothing can stop us from reaching the top. We also need to be courageous, determined, faithful and fearless so that we can easily overcome the setbacks that we encounter along the way.

Our generosity does a great deal for the person who practices it as well. As a matter of fact, truly generous people are often successful in life not just at work but in their personal lives as well. The wonderful thing about being generous is that anyone can do it.

Success comes after a lot of patience and hard work. There is not short cut. It is always coupled with roadblocks. What's important is how we face these challenges to succeed.

The Unbelievable Power Of Certainty

Man Wearing White Dress Shirt and Black Blazer

For centuries now, in history, the unbelievable power of certainty is the attribute that draws people to leaders and experts. It is what comes into play when you want to influence, make an impact or achieve the impossible whereas a lack of it can stop you dead in your tracks. But what is certainty?
How do you get such trait? Do you have a lack of confidence from time to time? Are you allowing yourself to doubt, even if it is for a second? Why do you still lack confidence, despite knowing, doing, preparing or practicing?

The reason is you possess some uncertainty! It can be about yourself, your abilities, what you believe in, your relationship or anything else. Have you ever known someone who knows their stuff, but just lacked confidence? Well, confidence comes from knowing yourself or your own business, but in taking it a step further, you understand that the power of certainty comes from not doubt at all.

My Shaolin Kung Fu master always says that self-confidence is for children and you have better to be certain. If you do not sense an inner certainty about what you want or what you need to do, then it will be over before you know it. Luckily for you, the power of certainty can be developed.

Gaining certitude can take time but the more you use it, the better you will get. It begins with you sharing your ideas so often that you finally find your voice and become sure in what you believe or teach. It is a big deal because the more you share with others, the more certain you will become. The power of certainty provides the key to unlocking what is holding you back.

"Certainty helps us take the actions to achieve our dreams." - Tony Robbins
The Inner battle for Certainty
You have to understand that when ideas take hold in your mind, an inner battle begins between your unconscious and conscious mind. It often comes down to your conscious mind which wants something while your unconscious mind may not believe a thing you say. When you lack power of certainty, there is automatically a conflict, a struggle, and ideas just remain thoughts.

You might be trying to tell your unconscious that you are going to you will be financially free in ten years' time or that you will have millions by the time you are thirty. But if your conscious mind is uncertain and has doubts, it will go 'Yes, right. No way in hell!' Then rejects your energy and desires into space where it will just bounce back and have no effect.

Your certitude needs to be anchored so deeply that it becomes unshakable. But at first, your power of certainty has to be greater than your doubts. When you choose to act with such inevitability, you can overcome any fear or doubt you might have. You can achieve it mentally through invocations, not affirmations, but invocation as it involves feelings of certainty through your bones, body, heart, and soul.

As an expert, I believe you owe it to yourself to act with certitude. I truly believe and have also personally experienced the power of certainty which grows over time and goes beyond self-confidence.

The Lack of Certainty brings a Lack of Action
If you unsure and do not feel a power of certainty, you will surely lack taking action. To live their financial dreams, most people always think about wanting to generate an enormous amount of money. They love to talk a good game with some 'If... ,' and tell others about their big dream, but in the end, they never take action to realize it.

What are the reasons? Well, they do not have the certainty that they can do it. They have no certitude about the outcome. They do not believe in themselves or how they can get there. They then begin to fall into fears and doubts. As a result, their self-thinking and self-talking put things off.

Self-talk combines that little voice and the quiet conversations you have with it. You should be more careful of these little internal phrases as they can build your power of certainty or to tear it apart. It is a fact that certainty has a real influence on your conduct and actions. How? If you have failed to take decisions in any part of your life, it is somewhat because you are uncertain or unsure as to which method could succeed or fail. So you put off what you need to do today until later.

The Influence of Certainty over Confidence
The power of certainty paves the way for you to take action, even massive action. And the impact of these massive actions is how you improve your confidence and make things happen in your life. But what is holding you back from raising your game?

From what I have seen and learned from my experiences all over the world, is that it does not matter how confident or successful you are, we all have certain zones of weakness from time to time. I do not believe that anyone is immune to uncertainty. But if you decide to do something, and start to plan towards it, you then create confidence which in turn builds in time, certainty.

Therefore, it is when you decide with absolute certitude that you are going to create your dreams and then start to build a plan that something almost magical happens. You start to develop a power of certainty that influences and surpasses your confidence. You unexpectedly see that there are ways to achieve your objectives.

Suddenly, your goals dribble, drop by drop, deep into your unconscious to find the means to make your dream a physical reality. It is when the fairy tale begins. I am pretty sure that there was at least one time in your life where you experienced the absolute power of certainty.

The Power of Certainty Is Personal
Too many people live between reality and fiction when it comes to sensing certainty. But I know from personal experience that you or anyone is capable enough to do many things that most people think are impossible. Your certainty and confidence are about what you believe it to be. What is important is your perception.

"Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you are dead right." - Henry Ford
Therefore, perhaps it is often up to what you believe to be true. It sounds annoyingly accurate, isn't it? Of course, the power of certainty is not something you can just switch on or off. Very often, you need help with your ability to build and uphold your certainty as well as your confidence, mainly when it comes to challenging circumstances.

The Unbelievable Power of Certainty
At the moment you begin to carry yourself with certainty, people become logically attracted to that quality you have. When others feel your power of certainty, they tend to start trusting you as well. And as soon as you speak with certitude and act with conviction, it alters the way the world around you responds. Great leaders and dictators throughout history are excellent examples of this.

You need to realize that the power of certainty creates opportunities that would not have existed otherwise. Your body language also has a significant influence on the way others perceive you. It includes the way you carry yourself, your gestures, facial expressions, walk, and even your care. And all of these, in turn, send strong signals to your nervous system and unconscious mind.

It means that if your body sends signals to your nervous system which matches a personal power of certainty, your attitude will also adjust as to be in tune with these signs. You have to learn to develop and display incomparable certainty because it will change your life for good at every level of your being. Certainty and confidence are like powerful magnets.

Possessing the Power of Certainty
When you possess the power of certainty, with no doubt in yourself and your abilities, you begin to attract new chances, means, opportunities, resources, and people into your life. You suddenly start to find ways to open whatever doors are necessary to create the life you want.

Today, certainty is a necessity for being a successful person. So if this post resonates with you, why don't you start building certainty for yourself and see the difference it will make for you. You now know that it only takes common sense and discipline to reach beyond confidence and tap into the power of certainty.

Remember that if other people can do it, you can, too. But to actually develop, grow and improve the power of certainty, you should make it a routine to find the role models and take example by reading about people who inspire you to what is possible and impossible. So do not be reticent to plunge into the unbelievable power of certainty to help you achieve your goals and dreams.

Message From the Universe: Falling in Love With the Entire World

"When in a hurry, step #1 for changing the entire world, is falling in love with it as it already is.

Same for changing yourself.

You like?
The Universe"

Appreciate yourself a bit more, every single day of your life. Regardless of the many challenges you need to face, the hurdles you need to overcome and the struggles you need to beat, learn to love yourself more as you deal with this daily crap. It is hard to stay optimistic when faced with all of this, but just imagine if you can't stand yourself throughout this process. Life will definitely be even more miserable. The ONLY thing you can really do is to know that this storm will eventually pass, and the dark clouds will dissipate. What is left is a sunny day and warm weather. However, if you allow all your hurdles and challenges to break you down or doubt your capability in resolving your issues, you will live within the storm and you will not allow it to pass. You will drop in deep black hole that you can't escape from. Your positive attitude is the ONLY thing that can save you so never allow it to disappear. I know it can be hard at times to go through these tough challenges, and you may feel alone when looking for the best solution. It is important to learn doing things on your own as the ONLY person you can trust is yourself.

Life is a struggle, and it will always be one. When you look at the rich and famous people out there, you may wish to be like them, as many others who aren't experiencing that same fortune and glory as they do. However, what you need to realize is that they all have their own struggles, such as getting future auditions to secure a gig and keep their lifestyle. Their industry is merciless when looking for new young talents, and if you don't keep up with what the industry needs, you are easily forgotten. They may have money to spare, but when the gigs are less likely to knock on your door, you start stressing out when needing to afford the $10 000/month mortgage payment on your home in Malibu. When not working for a few months to a year, you get into depression and start using narcotics to destroy the pain of not being wanted by Hollywood producers. This is when the beginning of the end happens. Alcohol comes into the equation and you start aging 10 years with the use of both. So now, do you feel they have a better life? Think twice.

Eat the Dessert First - Time to Get Busy Fulfilling Our Destiny

It is written...

It is the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom; Trust in the Lord with all your heart and not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths; Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are northward, southward, eastward and westward, all that you see, I will give to you. What do you see?

Do your problems seem as tall as trees? Do you see bills due and not enough money? Do you see signs of aging and poor health?

What do you see? Or better yet, where do you put your faith?

Irrespective of denomination there are scores of prosperity promises throughout the Bible. We are continually bombarded with endless prosperity techniques and testimonies, but people still believe the problem is with the supply, refusing to understand that the problem is with the demand. We must look into our hearts and begin to truly put our faith in Spirit. It is only when we leap that the net will appear. Start now to move by faith and not by sight.

How often have we asked for something, acted upon the request as if it were already done and then allowed depression, fear and doubt to set in and short-circuit our vision, creating a wilderness experience? Focusing on lack and living out of our past and not our imagination evokes the powerful law of cause and effect. What you see is what you get. It is our own limited consciousness that is getting in our way. Start dreaming a dream so big that the palms of your hand begin to sweat. It has been said on numerous occasions that when you follow your dreams, you will be faced with God-ordained opportunities, brilliantly disguised as problems and challenges. It may be insane to live with a dream, but it is madness to live without one. Living your dreams takes not only courage but an internal belief that you will be successful. Spirit has promised to never fail us nor forsake us. Joshua was successful in conquering Jericho with this promise. Time to get busy fulfilling our destiny. Time to eat the dessert.

After you have dreamed your dream, you must begin to plan. Infinite Kindness is always guiding us. Set aside regularly scheduled time periods to listen to Spirit. Follow the instructions exactly as Spirit reveals them. Do not try to rush Spirit or improve upon the instructions. Commit yourself to doing one thing every day toward making your dreams a reality.

Because life was not meant to be without God ordained opportunities, you will have to be diligent in searching for the good. You are a perfect idea in the mind of the Divine. Every place you find yourself is hallowed ground and while on the hallowed ground, negative thoughts and words are not welcome. Always be mindful of your thoughts and words, especially if you are living a wilderness existence. Thoreau said, "when we move confidently in the direction of our dreams and endeavor to live the life we have imagined, we will meet success unexpected in common hours."

Imagine the life you want to live. It is not necessary to know each step to be taken, it is only important that we begin to walk in the direction Spirit is pointing us toward. If we need to be redirected, as long as we are in motion, Spirit will gently nudge us and guide us to the right path. Whether we are moving toward our dream or living out our days in despair, we are always creating our next experience. Vow today to be proactive with your life and not reactive. Decide your future, believe you can achieve your heart's desire, stop looking back to the "old" you for guidance, trust in Spirit unconditionally and imagine a millionaire's victory. Get ready! Here comes the dessert tray!

Remember life is too short to drink cheap champagne. Dream Big and Life the life you have imagined.

Change Your Life With The Power Of Positive Affirmations

What Is an Affirmation?

An empowering statement that, when repeated on a consistent basis, is accepted as truth within the subconscious mind. For example, if you're insecure about your weight you might use the affirmation "Everyday I am effortlessly getting closer to my weight loss goal". If you lack confidence in a social environment you could affirm "By being myself, I effortlessly build lasting connections with everyone". Any fear you may have, any doubt, insecurity or limiting belief can be overcome by using affirmations. In addition, you can use affirmations as a sort of "magnet". Affirmations such as "money flows to me naturally and effortless", or "I am attracting my soul mate to me now" have an astounding effect. In short, a positive affirmation is used to reprogram your subconscious mind, empowering you in every area of your life.

What's The Big Deal?

Your subconscious mind makes 96-98% of your decisions for you, without you being consciously aware of it at all. So, if your subconscious mind is holding on to a limiting belief or a superfluous fear (such as fear of social interaction) you will be led to decisions that don't reflect what you truly desire. This is where affirmations come in! The only one who can make you believe a negative or limiting thought is you. Luckily, you can make your subconscious mind believe what you want it to believe. When you do this, you become what you are truly capable of. You will do bolder things, be more optimistic, create the reality you want and live a better life. So, on to the important part!

How To Do Affirmations

  • Pick out your list of a few positive affirmations to replace your negative beliefs with. You can recite these to yourself at any time throughout your day, as long as you're able to focus intently on the words and their meaning.
  • Relax your body. Take a few deep breaths and quiet your mind. Release all of the meaningless mental chatter and focus on your affirmations.
  • As you say each affirmation, try to actually feel the emotion that would come with this belief.
  • Visualize being this true version of yourself. Know that this is who you really are, you just need your subconscious mind to get on board!
  • Say each affirmation with intent and purpose. If your affirmations start to become a "chore", they will instantly lose their effectiveness.

Pro Tips

  • Say each affirmation as if it is already true. Your subconscious mind is most receptive to the present tense.
  • Believe each affirmation to be true, rather than hoping it will one day be true. "Fake it 'til you make it". Your subconscious mind will accept these statements much easier this way.
  • Spend at least 5 minutes per day per affirmation if you want to make any difference. It is for this reason that it's recommended to only have a few affirmations in the beginning.
  • Meditate! When in a meditative state, you are able to access your subconscious mind much easier. Doing Affirmations while in meditation is thought by many to increase their effectiveness by as much as ten times!
  • The average consensus is that it takes around 60-90 days for the subconscious mind to accept an affirmation as truth. You can not skip even one day, or the process will restart. Be consistent!
  • Once you have changed your belief effectively, don't stop affirming! This is where many go wrong. You are constantly picking up new beliefs from your everyday environment. To have lasting beliefs that you actually want, you must constantly maintain them.

Unleash Your Potential

When your realize that your thoughts and beliefs create your reality, you have within you an unlimited power to do absolutely anything. You must actively work to rid your mind of self doubt and fear. Once you achieve this, you are truly an unlimited being. You are given this power at birth, and it is waiting to be used!

Monsters and Molehills

'Molehills in life are bumps in the road; they become monsters when we accept them as powerful truth, allowing them to become monsters chasing us through life. Molehills like the teacher who could not find anything redeeming in the student and carelessly flung demeaning insults, leaving behind a child who believed every word they said and became what they believed. The molehill became a monster that chased the child relentlessly through life, one failure after another.

Molehills are the path of destruction left after something uninvited digs its way through our sub conscious mind leaving a tunnel of doubt and a path of fear that somewhere in that dark tunnel lies the truth about who we will become. What we believe may be the most important block in our foundation. Even the greatest of blessings cannot be delivered if we cannot believe; we must believe to receive. Harboring the fear that we do not deserve or cannot achieve something that is important to us will ensure that we cannot.

Damage that begins in childhood plants deeper roots in our subconscious; it has a long time to grow and dig in. A child is born believing in goodness, it simply knows no other way. Trust has brought the child to this new beginning with a fragile defense system in place. In the absence of steady and positive reinforcement of encouraging truth and what can be, it is far easier for a child to believe what they see and hear, to begin to grow from those ideas. Sadly this is frequently the beginning of a long and difficult road filled with doubt, self-recriminations and fear of rejection that keeps the best in life at bay. The good things were never unattainable; they just became a mirage that could not be touched.

Sometimes there is no one to provide the kind of direction and reinforcement we need to escape from the monsters. How can we defeat something we believe is more powerful than us? Only by standing still and objectively looking at the monster, without any emotion. Emotion colors what we see and creates a binding force that ties us to the monster. Pain creates trauma; trauma is one of the strongest emotional bonds. It is necessary to tear the wound back open and stop pretending that we don't really care about things that matter a lot.

This leaves us vulnerable; vulnerable to the same pain, the same wrong ideas and yes, vulnerable to receiving the best that we can believe in. It is this that makes it worth the effort of tearing it open and re-examining without emotion what really happened. When we can do this, we can believe in ourselves and the best that life can provide for us, leaving the monster powerless. Like a shape-shifter it fades back into the molehill it always was, just a bump in the road. This is all that is necessary to be free to receive the best we can believe in.

How To Leave Your Job To Realize Your Dreams

Chances are the idea of leaving your job to realize your dreams terrifies you. It is a normal and expected feeling, even a good one. As you do make the jump though, be proud of yourself for making a choice to escape the ordinary. Most people never make it past the thought. But what now?
How will you pay your bills? What if your dreams are too big? Does your decision have an impact on your loved ones? How are you going to survive?

All I can tell you is that education will only get you so far if you do not use the gift of realizing your dreams. Countless people dream about dropping out of the rat race. They have the desire to get off the hamster's wheel and find a way to spend more time doing what they love, but most of them do not act on it.

Therefore, I enthusiastically approve the life decision of someone that quit their job to go after their dreams. I admire such people for daring because thrilling things often happen when they step out of their comfort zone and make room to chase their dreams.

However, let me be brutally honest with you. When you jump, do not expect your parachute to open right away because you are going to hit some rocks, get your skin scratched on the cliffs, have your ego bruised, and you may suffer for a while, but eventually, the parachute will open. It has to open if you keep going. But one sure thing is that if you do not jump, your parachute will never open.

To realize your dreams, you also have to deal with the emotional realities such as fighting doubt or keeping daily motivation. It is a real life change! There are many challenges along the way, both mental and emotional. In any case, I would encourage you to take the leap to reach your visions.

What Keeps People Motivated
It took me a little less than two years to make an around-the-clock stable income, and it will take a bit more to be financially free. I went broke several times. I was getting help from my best friend for a couple of months. And then, I moved back with my previous roommate. For all of 2016, I worked 12 to 16 hour a day while most of my ventures failed and made no money. It was only this year that I started to realize my dreams, reap the rewards, and for now, I keep working long hours.

No lie, it was stressful, and still is at times. You might ask what kept and keeps me motivated during such difficult period? Well, it was fear. Yes, fear, because I was terrified of being unsuccessful. I told no one, so I was alone. That fear came from the idea that I would fail and have to go back to doing a job I hate. This fear stopped me from sleeping many nights, teeth clenched together but more importantly, it kept me going.

Of course, to avoid such thing, you could build your dream business on the side until you have a steady income to leave your job. But I believe that if I had done it that way, I would not have made it this far. It would have been too easy some days to work less on it or give up. This fear is what makes you committed. You have to win or die trying.

The Leap of Faith for Your Dreams
There always comes a time to take the leap of faith to chase your dreams entirely. There comes the point where enough momentum is built, and you cannot progress any further as you both pursue your dreams and have a job.

You then need the emotional drive to push you to accomplish your dreams. The jump comes the moment you have that gut feeling where you know what you should do. Feeling it is not enough, you have actually to get up and do it. If you continue hating your work day after day, waiting for something to happen, you will be trapped in mediocrity.

So understand not to be too comfortable with the life you have now to do what it takes to create a better life. You have to break the barriers by putting yourself outside the box to make yourself fight for your dreams.

How far can you go to realize your dreams? I sold the small possessions I had, even the new furniture I had acquired. I even stopped my hobbies until recently. You will lose contact with many people, but that always happens on the way to success. You just have to know that all of these things return once you become successful. But giving up should never be an option.

The Courage to Go after Your Dreams
You need to realize your dreams. Too many people give up and stop chasing their dreams. They end up bitter, looking back with regrets on missed chances. You owe it to yourself to at least try. The world might thank you for it someday.

Those who do give up do not realize how unhappy they are with their job or their life. Deep down, they know the answer to their sadness, which always involves change, but they do not go forward with the difficult part of making the change.

If your job is not a good fit for you anymore, it means it is time to consider how you can either improve the issues or think about leaving it. If you feel miserable every morning, if you are anxious just thinking about your job, or if you are no longer productive at work, it is a good sign that the time has come to move on.

Such work has a negative impact on you physically and mentally. You are not growing or learning anything new, you are stagnating, and it might be the signal for you to go after your dreams instead.

All of these signs show you that you should be looking for a new or better opportunity.

Realize Your Dreams Now
Do not wait, realize your dreams now because it is not easy to pause and reflect on your life when you have responsibilities. You have to understand that when you are busy working for someone else; you begin to put off what matters to you. What are you working for? For most people, it is simply survival so they can only live day after day.

On the other hand, going after your dreams is a much more promising scenario, but of course, it does not come without taking risks. But it comes with doing what you desire as well as waking up every day with passion and full of energy knowing that you have a mission and purpose in life.

You can get off the hamster's wheel and away from the dull nine to five job cycle. You can be your own boss and be free. Of course, the future is no guarantee, but whether you work for someone else or follow your path, you could fail both ways. You may as well choose to do what you want.

I understand that some people are just not made to be independent; some do their best work when working under someone else's leadership. But some people feel very comfortable with the scenario of chasing and realizing their dreams.

Tips to Keep Chasing Your Dreams

  • Have fear. Terrify yourself. Use it as your ally. Give yourself no option but your dream.
  • Sell all your useless crap and get your financial house in order.
  • Consider cutting your losses and getting rid of what is eating you financially while you can.
  • Plans are made to fail no matter what you do. Get used to it.
  • Push past the doubts and insecurities which hold you down by focusing on your dream.
  • Be willing to take some risks and work a bit harder and longer to realize your dreams.
  • Start an online business, a blog, do some freelance consultant work online, work some odd jobs here and there or anything you might desire.
  • Begin to figure it out and adjust as you go.
  • Remember Why You Quit.
  • Ignore your mind which results in you putting off things that matter the most.
  • Immerse yourself in a sea of productivity, to the point where you are so busy that you do not have time to think about failure.
  • Remember that you cannot be working 24/7 so enjoy time off. Downtime is necessary.
  • Reward yourself for accomplishments or for doing great.

To realize your dreams, you are going to have to quit your job at some point. So, planning will only take you so far. You have to jump and throw yourself in the fire. Chase and realize your dreams by leaving yourself no option but to come out on top. It will be both uneasy and terrifying, but that is life. Anyway, you will get through it!

Is Life Really Defined By Uncertainty?

Life to me is defined by uncertainty. That's one reason I favor a cautious approach. Fear comes from uncertainty. There are always two sides to any coin. This forms a crucial element of doubt and uncertainty. It was once said- You cannot be certain about uncertainty. To define it any other way, would be quite difficult.

The only thing that's certain is uncertainty. Change creates new tensions and uncertainties in our lives. There are so many events over which we have no control. Can you let go of control? It demands a high level of spiritual fitness. You seek to find the highest level of your spiritual development. This is your enlightenment. As you grow and learn, new ascendancies offer greater rewards.

All you can do is exhale. Breathe deeply. Relentlessly ride on through the cycles of your life. Look for the interconnectivity in all things. You are a part of the network. We are not programmed to embrace uncertainty and fear. It goes against our nature. It triggers our fight or flight instincts. Carefully examine the situation. Put a light into the dark places. In the end, it is all quite simple. You will find your worries are baseless or understandable. All it takes is time and clarity.

People vary in their desire to minimize uncertainty. Those who react by a worrying focus on potential threats and risks. When our bodily reaction is a strong one, we tend to recognize and label it as anxiety, but when it's more subtle, we often fail to see it despite its effect.

We know this from psychological research in thinking styles and perfectionism. Decide whether an issue is important. If it's causing anxiety, do a short meditation. Recognise thought errors that try to pull you into worry. Once we recognize this human tendency, we can learn to challenge or even ignore our worries.

Allow yourself to have negative feelings; they are normal after all. Sitting with uncertainty requires patience. Allow yourself to reflect on what this means to you. Uncertainty is a part of life and it can't be avoided.

The only constant in life is that it will involve change, and try as you may control the future, sometimes all you can do is trust that whatever happens, you can adapt and make the best of it. Replace expectations with plans. When you form expectations, you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Prepare for different possibilities. Become a feeling observer. Get confident about your coping and adapting skills. This isn't the same as "expect the worst." It's more about assuring yourself that you can handle any difficulty that might come.

This has actually shown to help people manage anxiety.

Finding the solution of the uncertainties in life is like thrashing around to try to get the mud to go away. All this does is stir up more mud. Seek out healthy stress reducers in order to make uncertainty sends us back into the fight of flight mode.

Staying Firm With Your Life Goals

Be Serious About Your Goals

Life is not a game. And you don't have time to waste.

If you want to succeed in life you have to take your life seriously. Most of you walk around in life dabbling without a purpose, without a focus, just walking aimlessly in life. This is not you, so stop doing that.

You are different.

The reason you are reading this article is because you want a better life for yourself or perhaps want to transform your self, your life, your car, your house, but something in your life you want to change now.

You are convinced that you are ready to change and will do anything in your power and resources to make that happen.

You want things to change; you want things to be better for you because let's face it you're tired of being miserable. You are dissatisfied with something in your life than you find unfair, tiring, boring, stunt-growing and angry.

You want things to change.

I know this is you; the first thing you have to do is stop complaining about your life when you have taken it for a joke.

When you're not living the life you deserve you have to analyze yourself. Perhaps you have taken your life unfavorely. When you look around at yourself you see that you lack focus, purpose and vision of whom you are.

Be Different

But I know one thing about you, this is not you. You want things to change and want things to get better. You are willing to change things around because you're tired of living a circus and you're the clown.

It's time for you to live a prosperous, happy, tranquil life that you truly deserve.

This is you. You have to be ready to make the decision that your life, your desires, your dreams are not a joke anymore.

When you become serious about whom you are and about what you want to accomplish; everyone else will help you and respect you because you're serious about who you are and where you want to be. Earn the respect and recognition you deserve.

Goals are not attracted to clowns, they are attracted to people who have made the decision to achieve the best, be the best and are serious of themselves.

Changing Your Self-Dialogue

In order to be happy, peaceful, persistent or successful in life it's about the self-dialogue you hear or tell yourself. Change it and life will change. Self-dialogues are amazing and effective when you believe in them.

Start with this:

Your dream, your desires, should make you tremble so vividly through your body convincing you that what you're doing in life is your life's purpose. It gives you the certainty you need in life; there should be no room for doubt.

As you journey through your life you must get certainty of what you want; sure of what you need and be sure it belongs to you. You deserve it. This is all that you should tell yourself on a daily basis.

And as you think these thoughts, you have to remind yourself again and again of telling yourself that there is no room in your mind for any negativity such as fear, doubt, quitting. You must not poison your mind.

The only thoughts springing out of your mind should be ideas that will get you where you want to be. You have a dream to achieve, a goal to acquire and a need of changing something in your life. This should be your only sole focus, nothing else.

Remember we do not have time to waste. Life is not a joke anymore. We have to stop wasting our valuable potential energy only in thoughts that will help us grow.

Distinguish Your Self From The Rest

We are different.

You are different. Your thoughts should be too. Only those that accomplish goals in life are those who dare to be different from the rest. They are the one's where fear does not exist in their thoughts because they think different. Their mind has transformed itself differently. Mutated perhaps.

The only way you'll get there is by feeding thoughts, ideas and images that will help you build a big archive of only self-growth ideas.

Ask yourself "What thoughts do you need to help you grow?"

It's one thing. Do not tolerate any longer mediocrity. This is a thought you have to believe and carve in your mind.

What is what thing you have in common with successful people? It's the ability of believing that we deserve better than mediocrity.

Let me explain, you have to train your mind that most successful people out there are enjoying themselves because they have tolerated little, unhappy with some part of their life and decided to do something about it. They decided no longer to tolerate their low paying job because they know it will get them nowhere, they move away from toxic relationships, change their beat-down jalopy. They change themselves.

They changed it. They are the type of people whom don't tolerate mediocrity anymore. This has to be you too.

The reason you're angry at life is not external. This anger is against you for not taking the initiative to do anything about it. You have to be willing to do something some thing, fight for it; do what you must. I mean anything! Do at least some thing even if you look like a fool.

What will motivate you to take action is believing that you are put in this earth to live life at it's fullest.

You must have the thought that you love life.

Things will change.

Motivate yourself to pursue your dreams, your goals, appreciate the opportunities that life is giving you to change. Change will be given to those who decide to love life.

This is you.

When your mind is with different thoughts you will no longer settle for mediocrity. You decided to be different. Do not get comfortable with a poor unbearable life. Change now.

Start today.

When you finally had enough that is when you will change. This is when you will open your eyes, see how much you deserve to live and more. It's the turning point in your life when you realize that you are different, want more out of life and it's time to live that life you deserve. It starts by being a new you; a new beginning.

To finish this off you have to create thoughts and believe in them. You deserve them. Believe in them. You are worth more than you believe. Change your thoughts now and you'll thank yourself later.

Give yourself thoughts and things that will make you happy.

Say to yourself, "I need to give myself those thoughts to make me happy".

Developing Self-Inspiration

Image result for faith

We hate the thought of quitting when things go wrong in our lives. It makes us feel useless, powerless or impotent; we let our lives slip out of our hands: tired.

Life is tough and we find it difficult to make it easy. And for that we strive our very best to make ourselves feel better about our selves and life in general. We face many challenges in life, in occasion fail, or win: life is not easy for us.

But we are fighters in life. Life has taught us to be strong, to fight, and when everyone else has given up on us; we haven't given up on ourselves. We have become so strong in life because we have experienced in life how many left us, gave up on us, or couldn't believe in us. That is why we fight forward.

We have learned in our tough life to inspire our own selves because with the help of anyone else, who else is there to motivate us? No one but ourselves, we feel alone, but we're brave enough to grow, to believe in us, we have most of all the company of our own faith to take us on.

We learned through tough circumstances that have affected our lives made us believe life is not easy, but faith has made our lives bearable, motivate us to believe, to hold on and to strive on.

We might have periods in our lives where our thoughts are filled with doubt and giving up on ourselves! But, no we build our own selves up again, and again with self-inspiration. This is our fuel.

When we catch ourselves filled with fears of thoughts, failure and regressing in life, we remind ourselves about our faith. Faith has given us the certainty we need to keep going, to keep growing, to reach our personal destinations and overcome any challenge and bump life has given us. We do not and will never give up on us.

Our self-faith gives us the courage to fuel our thoughts when they need fire, it cleans our eyes when we see life hazy, and gives us valor when we need to change; for us faith gives us many things we are not.

Sometimes I question myself where does this inspiration come from? It's something, a thought, an energy, something difficult to articulate in our heads, but we understand it; most of all we feel it and know when it's coming. Inspiration is developed and felt from within.

Life has taught us to develop it from our failures, doubts, fears. As life gets tougher, and harder on us, we build a stronger way to overcome these obstacles. What has help us: inspiration lies within, sometimes found in other things or people. We grow it most of all internally.

You have felt it before; a sort of energy once you tap into it miraculous things happen in our lives. We feel happier, stronger, and our mood changes enough to not want to let it go. Hold on to inspiration as much as possible, because as it comes it goes.

I have learned that we build or develop this inspiration by the degree we trust ourselves in life. The stronger we believe and trust ourselves in our abilities, bodies, soul and mind the more it's availability is made.

Inspiration is self-trust: Self-faith.

Trusting my own abilities has given me more focus in life, it will do the same for you! Self-trust gives the self the ability to put it's thoughts into action. It begins to eliminate fear, doubt, un-reasonable demonized thoughts and gives the self the ability to tap into locked away sources. Inspiration is in the person all along we just need to uncover it by trusting our selves.

We start noticing how our thoughts began to change. We start taking action, and creating our thoughts into reality. Most of all we develop the belief that things will get better for us, and grow.

We have to believe in growth in order for inspiration to be given to you. We want to grow, and we will.

Self-trust in one's thoughts helps us uncover who we truly are. This inspires us to keep growing because we realize we are more powerful than we thought to believe. Inspiration transforms us into completely different persons.

As this new self starts growing in us, we become comfortable with our new selves, our true authentic self. As we get closer to that self, our trust becomes solid: stronger.

Trusting our thoughts is key. It helps us uncover a self we have hidden all this time that is more productive, positive and a better version of us. New thoughts must be born from within.

I would like to end with the following. Many of us get inspired in life by changing their thoughts, experiences etc...

However, the best thing we have in our lives is inspiration is born within, developed, learned and if you trust it; it will do wonders in your personal growth. And the only way to get there is by trusting your own thoughts completely.

What Are You Unconsciously Accepting?

Words of Wisdom

I love the scripture passage that talks about Paul's experience after a shipwreck in Acts 28:3-6: "Paul gathered a bundle of sticks, and as he laid them on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. When the Islanders saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "Surely this man is a murderer. Although he was saved from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live." But Paul SHOOK the creature off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. The Islanders were expecting him to swell up or suddenly drop dead. After WAITING a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they CHANGED their minds and said he was a god!"

When we read this passage, we might relate to it only as a historical event or we can choose to dig deeper to get insights and apply it to our life. For me, I see this passage as the drama of life taking place in the heart of everyone that walks the face of the earth. Whether they are aware of it or not it makes no difference. It's operation, as the law of gravity, unfold in each and every one of us at different times during our journey on earth.

Environment is our looking glass

If we are not watchful, we might unknowingly allow our environment - people, institutions, friends, or even family members to project dis-empowering ideas or thoughts upon us. The scripture parallel relating to this idea is "The Islanders (which represents the worldview, society, institution, and race mind) were expecting him to swell up or suddenly drop dead". If we allow those negative ideas, thoughts to take root by accepting and getting emotionally involved with them, they will take effect. This is not because those ideas or concepts have any power of their own. But, simply because we moved internally through our thoughts, feelings and moods; and gave power to them. By law, they will reproduce in our outward experience as conditions.

We all are immersed in the race or world mind; suggestions of the world are continually impinging upon our consciousness. Our mind receives according to our degree of receptivity.

The race mind operates like a silent killer. The person who is asleep can allow the race mind to awaken fear, doubt or worry in them; because they do not have the awareness and understanding to shake off the latent poison. They inadvertently move to the tune of the race mind internally and thus manifest that which is projected upon them. So sad yet so true!

What are you Focusing On?

Whatever we give attention to, and get emotionally involved with goes forth to produce its kind in our outer experience through circumstances and conditions whether positive or negative. The world - society or people we come into contact with may be projecting ideas and concepts based on our past behavior, background or experience. If one is asleep (not spiritually alert), those ideas can take root or continue to propagate themselves.

Remember your past does not define your future except you accept it and continue to get emotionally involved with those negative concepts. Nobody has power over another; the power is within each one of us. We are given the choice on how to use it whether for good (well-being) or evil (misery).

We need to shake off any unconscious latch the world - no matter what or who it is - want to place or project upon us and FOCUS on our ideal. Change occurs from the INSIDE OUT, not the other way round. Trying to change something on the outside without the corresponding INNER SHIFT is futile. If done correctly and persistently no power in the world can stop you, but they will come around to aid you.

This is so simple, sometimes misunderstood and made complicated. You see, we need to hold steadfast to that which we want. If I hold up a horrible painting in front of a mirror, it will reflect exactly the picture held before it. The mind is the mirror; that is why the Law of the Lord is always perfect. Our world is always a perfect reflection of our inner state of consciousness.

Develop the Habit for Success

Meanwhile for some people, this process might require a 90-day continuous discipline of the mind. The mind can be likened to a horse; I understand that it typically takes 90 days to tame a wild horse. The human mind, though more powerful than the horse, if left untrained can run wild and rule a person's life. But when tamed can be our partner rather than our adversary. This takes practice and consistency.

Marcus Aurelius Said:

Our life is what our thoughts have made it!
Video showing a horse trainer, watch how the wild horse is tamed. One needs to follow this process if they want to discipline the mind. This is a beautiful analogy of the conscious and subconscious mind brought into harmony. The subconscious mind is the powerhouse. It is written "As a Man thinks in his Heart (subconscious) so is he". Through discipline and continuous practice a wayward mind is brought to subjection!

https://youtu.be/9Dx91mH2voo

The more we commit to personal study and lean towards taming the mind the more we grow internally. With time our outer world will reflect that which we are dwelling upon internally.

Take Action

One sad thing that I have come to realize is that some people would rather choose to remain asleep. This is fine, and I respect their choice because honestly the world also needs its sleepers not everyone can play the role of an actor without an audience. It takes one who is asleep to show another person that they are awake. This is a world of contrast; a world of choices, for there cannot be an inside without an outside. My hope is that this article would stir someone who is asleep to wake up and embrace their divinity. This is the most thrilling and exciting period to be alive and as Alvin Toffler said:

The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot LEARN, UNLEARN, and RELEARN
If we do not think for ourselves, and if we do not cleanse our minds, we will suffer, because we allowed fear, false beliefs, and erroneous concepts of the world to impinge themselves upon us. Then the world-mind does our thinking for us and acts upon us bringing accidents, disease, suffering, etc., into our lives.

The world-mind is the mind which believes in disease, failure, misfortune, terror, and superstition. If we do not pray and cleanse our mind regularly, we may also get into trouble. There is no chance or accident; for all is Law. There is a mind, a state of consciousness, which is the cause of all.

To your New Awakening!

Message From the Universe: The "How It Will Happen" Is NONE of Your Business!

"By embracing uncertainty with regard to the "hows" of dream manifestation, and allowing it, not fearing it, you actually increase my options for blowing your dear, sweet mind.

Yeah, this is good. Really good.

Ca-pow,
The Universe"

Why not delegate the task of the HOW things will happen. The Universe is ready to take that role. Why bother getting worried about how this will happen, or how long it will take to make it work, or how the hell am I going to go through this challenge? The Universe is your personal assistant for all the "how's" you have in your mind. Let it take care of the complexity behind this very difficult process to let things manifest themselves to you. You want your project to come to reality, you work hard, long hours behind the computer and then, just like that, you start stressing about HOW should you do this or HOW will it all happen for you. You allow negativity to enter because your mind can't accept that the process is rolling and that an external force, also called the Universe, is participating in the makings of your promising future.

It can be hard do grasp that concept as your mind is creating obstacles every time you think big dreams. The same questions lurk in your mind and leave doubts about the potential of your dream coming to fruition. You can't help it as you think that wealth and prosperity is reserved to only a few people on this planet. Questions like: "Why me?" or "Do I deserve this wealth and happiness?" or "Can I be among the rich and famous people on this planet?". The answer is YESSSSSSSS. There is enough abundance out there for 100,000,000 times Earth population. The problem is that people are too afraid to get their piece of the pie. They are adding more difficulties to their daily obligations to focus on what can be theirs when time comes. Abundance is right around the corner, so go out there and take your share. There is a lot left for everyone!

Spring Cleaning After Divorce

It's that time of year when we open the windows and enjoy the fresh air! It always made me feel better hearing the birds chirp, smelling the fresh air and cleaning as if it were a new beginning. Well, on a positive note, divorce is a new beginning! Put aside all the emotional feelings like sadness, anxiety and doubt about what you are supposed to do next, and consider some of the following tips for your financial spring cleaning!

1. Get your financial house in order. Update your will. Check that you have the proper beneficiaries listed on your life insurance policies. Review your retirement plans and get rid of non-performing investments (contact your CDFA or financial advisor if you need help). Get a file box or use a file drawer and label your files. Doing this will make it easy to find any important financial papers.

2. If you aren't doing what you love or loving what you do, then prepare to make a change! Update or write your resume. Take some courses and explore new opportunities in your area or an area that you would like to be in. Expect more from yourself. I'm sure you will be amazed what you're capable of achieving.

3. Review your credit report!! Not only is identity theft a concern today, but so is human error. I recently found that there was a major mistake on my credit report and it took me a lot of time to have it corrected. It is also a good place to see if you or your spouse have any accounts that you were unaware of. If you haven't already, make sure to establish credit in your name. Open a credit card, or the next time you purchase a car, register it in your name only.

4. This is also a great time to review your benefits at work. If you aren't involved in a retirement plan, and one is offered, enroll!! If you are already active in a plan, review it!! It may seem overwhelming and out of your comfort zone so consult a financial advisor. Most advisors are happy to review your statements and offer you some advice.

5. I am sure that you just got your taxes done and you are saying, "Next year I will be more organized!" That's what I said! So go buy a file for tax receipts only! Ask your accountant if s/he can provide you with some areas that may save you money on next year's tax return.

6. Divorce is a big change and a new beginning. You will want to update your wardrobe, and feel pretty!! I am a big supporter of dressing the way you want to feel!! This can be costly, so make a plan. First, clean out your current wardrobe. There are consignment shops, example: Plato's Closet, where you can sell your clothes and use that money to purchase new clothes for yourself. If you already have a budget, donate your clothes to women's shelters. You will feel great about helping other women and they will greatly appreciate it!! It's a win-win!!

7. Divorce is draining, I know. Emotionally and financially, you feel exhausted. You will need time to rebuild yourself and your finances; start by setting long- and short-term goals (write them on paper). Prepare your new budget and then meet with a financial advisor. You work hard for your money and your advisor can help ensure that your money is working hard for you.

Accept what your financial situation is now, make the changes that you can, and live accordingly. Focus on implementing the above suggestions and you will be able to move forward confidently rather than living in the past.

How Successful People Think - Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude

Have you dreamed of becoming a successful entrepreneur, but don't know where to start?

You are not alone, there are millions of people who want to become successful entrepreneurs, but lack the necessary support. We are going to look at what steps you need to take in order to become a successful entrepreneur.

There is a tremendous amount of inaccurate information circulating that claim "you need to have money to make money" or "it is who you know not what you know". Granted having money and connections can help if you don't have the right mindset then all of the money in the world won't make you a success but if you follow the same habits that other successful entrepreneurs use then your chances of attaining success will grow exponentially.

Here are the three top secrets that work for me.

Everyone Can Be An Entrepreneur, Yes Everyone Including You!

Entrepreneurs are not born they are made and if you are reading this then you have the ability to become an entrepreneur because you have exhibited one of the best qualities an entrepreneur can have and that is a healthy curiosity. Successful business people are never content with the status quo, they are constantly looking for ways to do things better and that is what you are looking for as well, a faster way to achieve success!

We are going to look at what qualities a successful business leader has, some of these qualities you currently have and do not realize it. We will also look at what are some of the qualities that can hinder your success. Everyone has to start somewhere and today is the first day in the rest of your life so let's make it a great day!

The Power of Discovering Thinking Big

There is an adage, "If you can dream it you can achieve it" and this is one quality that all entrepreneurs have. Granted some of them are bigger dreamers than others, but they all share that common quality of envisioning themselves becoming very successful and then taking proactive steps towards that goal.

Sit down and make a list of all your goals no matter how farfetched they may seem in your mind. You are going to be amazed by how many goals you actually have.

After you have established what your goals are you need to come up with action items that can be implemented right away. These "action items" are things you can do right now that will bring you one step closer towards your goal of achieving success, no matter how small that step may be it is one more than you had yesterday. By having these milestones and working towards them you are more likely to attain your big goals.

To use an analogy, imagine you had to eat an elephant. How would you go about it? An elephant is a big animal weighing tons and nearly 7 meters high in some cases so it would be a big challenge to eat it in one meal. The only way to eat that elephant is one small piece at a time. This elephant is like your big dreams, you cannot do it all at one time but you can break it down into smaller segments which are easier to handle. By taking this gradual approach you will surely reach your goals no matter how lofty they may seem.

Most successful entrepreneurs keep a journal of each and every milestone they have attained and reward themselves for these successes. With each milestone that you reach you are getting closer to your goal that not so long ago you thought was "too big!"

Something that is vital is to never doubt your capability; most would be entrepreneurs fail not because they weren't capable. These individuals failed because they never bother to try, you are guaranteed to fail if you never make an attempt so with that mindset you really need to believe in yourself, other individuals just like you have attained success by sheer will and hard work so don't sell yourself short, be certain and take action.

Positive Thoughts and Affirmations

We have touched on the importance of setting big goals however we haven't looked at the role that positive thinking and affirmations have on our results. The human mind is a truly remarkable thing.

Whatever we envision and strive towards we can achieve. If a person tells themselves that making money is hard, only rich people can start their own business, I am not smart enough to run a business, these thoughts become reality and that person will find it very hard to start off in business or earn more money than what they are currently getting.

These positive thoughts will help you stay motivated even when you are facing challenges, and you will face challenges that are just the nature of life. To give you an example, a positive person will see an obstacle as a challenge while a negative person will see a "problem". The difference in thinking will have an impact on results. The good news is a negative mindset can be corrected by following a few of these exercises.

First look at other successful people who you consider heroes or role models, what do they do each and every day? They set a goal or series of goals and once that goal has been realized they reward themselves accordingly.

Once you start seeing yourself able to achieve these daily goals you will migrate away from the negative mindset into a more positive one. Start right now by taking responsibility for your own thoughts instead of saying "I hope" or "hopefully" try using "I will" or "I am" by using these possessive terms you are taking responsibility for your thoughts and that is a very empowering feeling.

We all want to be successful and once you start connecting your thoughts with results you can't help but want to be positive.

... let's focus on developing your positive attributes and achieve success together.

Success follows when we have a positive mental attitude.
