Life Is Not Easy - At Best, It Is Satisfying

Topless Man Standing on Cliff

All failure is a temporary stepping stone to success at best. The most genuine successes have the bigger seeming failures that are the most temporary stepping stones to genuine permanent successes. Take a good inventor for example: A good or great inventor is mostly a failure, but one success or two, and they are in "The Legends Club", so to speak. What do I mean? Okay, Thomas Edison was said to have failed many times at inventing the light bulb before he found what worked, right. That is the simple version of what people with great ideas go through before they make it to success. Usually, failures are even bigger and time investments are more pronounced when working toward genuine success.

At worst, when quitting happens, someone else takes up the mantle from that quitting and makes a success of themselves. So, I can honestly say that the person who quits or lets the loss be "the end of them" does not want to achieve the goal they are after genuinely enough. Because, ultimately, what can be conceived rationally and worked on persistently, can be genuinely achieved. The greater the goal, the more this sort of time investment is needed and wanted to achieve it. It may not be easy, but when success happens, it is satisfying as Michelangelo having been rumored to say about the Sistine Chapel painting and art: "If they knew the hard work that went into easy looking genius, they would not consider it so easy or worthy of awe." I get it. "The Legends Club" of those who have succeeded and "arrived" genuinely is filled with this type of thing where success comes after diligent, realistic and hard yet smart work.

The only meaningful loss there is really is the loss that teaches a lesson and helps you succeed later. All other quitting, losses and lapses are worth nothing but "drama queen" type feeling sorry for yourself and weakness.

When you join the "legends" and "geniuses", you will find the first sentence in that last paragraph completely real, honest and true. The only meaningful loss there really is teaches a lesson that helps you succeed later. Indeed, at the end of this article, I can honestly say that the only meaningful win in life is earned. Everything else is "the luck of the draw" purely. So, if I captured reality in a bottle let me know.

When You Get Good At Programming Yourself And Solving The Tough Problems (By Joshua Clayton)

Man Holding Tree Twig

We all love to win, but who loves to train to win? Work and overcoming procrastination is a tough problem when you do not really want a goal. At best, when something is play and we make a living or achieve something at it, that is ideal. At worst, though, and sometimes there are some of those "at worst things", life is a chore we do not want to deal with. Also, when there are things we would rather be doing than work and the play we want to be doing is destructive or not productive in any good way, that is when we must genuinely find the "silver lining" within that dark cloud of the chore we need (and want) to get done.

So, this is my formula: When I get frustrated or overwhelmed: I step back, look at things objectively, and then attack with strong subjective productivity in a way that I enjoy that makes things go and work better. Sure, I could give harder, more complicated advice about productivity, but we start there in this article and if you want iron grip control as well as enjoyment in any situation, you have got to start there. Also, if life were all enjoyment without obstacles, there would not be a point to it. So, my "other advice" is to grab the lessons and values from everything, even if we do not like it at the time it is happening. That is also what I mean by step back, look at things objectively, and then attack with strong subjective productivity. I mean face it, for every "I really want to do it moment", there are many "we have to do it moments" to genuinely achieve the goal we want to achieve, work is not an exception when we do not like it, but have to do it.

Listen, the best we can expect is to do what we have to do as work to ultimately do what we want to do as our reward. Let that statement sink in, because that is reality always. Genuine resilience, though, comes from wanting to do what we need to do and want to do with equal zeal, excitement and understanding that is motivated from within ourselves. Motivation never comes from outside ourselves anyway, it always comes from within. Tools without motivation are just inanimate objects, however great the tools, that is a bad thing when we expect them to do the work for us without effort. Tools with motivation are great things that work to build something productive, creative and realistically good.

In this article, I hope I gave you some good tools to solve the tough problems in your life, being one of those who is motivated from within, I use all of these formulas and more to keep myself going. So, I give this final advice, build the power consciousness and you will have genuine strength, resilience and greatness.

Make Your Goals Inevitable

Achieve the goals you want to achieve. Anyhow, that sounds very simple, yes? At times that is more simply said than executed. Every person has some goals, but without inspiration, those goals may be somewhat they wrote down on a piece of paper and then fail to recall about. How do you create goals that turn out to be inevitable instead of little slips of sheet or jot notes in a day planner?

Start off by thinking about when and where you have to place yourself. Consider the people you want to be around in order to be successful in accomplishing your goal. Who do you know who will impress you, force you, or above all, support you?
After that, consider your performances and the particular things to do or actions you have to make. Break your goal into smaller manageable steps so that the way toward arriving does not appear to be overpowering.

It is important that you have to work toward your goal one step at a moment and set up a time frame to complete each step. As it is said, "Rome was not built in a day!" You cannot hope to achieve your end goal all at the same time either. Start small and every achievement will expand on itself. Keep in mind that it is alright if there are setbacks or if there is some sort of resistance; you will figure out how to work through it.

Concentrate on your capacities, aptitudes, and systems that will engage you to push ahead. Inspect what you definitely know and what you still have to learn or expand on keeping in mind the end goal to experience triumph. On the off chance that you don't know where to begin with this progression, look to an individual who has effectively experienced success with his goals.

Meanwhile, you will reinforce your own particular skill set and you can begin actualizing new strategies which will help you achieve your objective. As you do so, tell others regarding your goals. You can compose a blog, post via web-based social media, and converse with family and companions. In discussing your targets and goals, you will find the support and strength both from inside and from others to keep you moving forward to accomplish the enormity you want.

It is imperative to ask for what you require and to state no to the things that don't add to your goals or straightforwardly discourage you from it. On the off chance that you will likely want to lose more weight, it is alright to turn down a supper date. In the event that your goal is to write a novel, it is alright to state no to a night out on the grounds that you require quiet time to compose.

Also, in a similar way, demand what you need. Tell your companions who are hosting a lunch that you have limitations; tell your life partner you want a night in the basement far from different duties so you can work. You should be honest with yourself and with other about your needs to achieve your objectives. At the point when people know about your goals and objectives and what you need regarding support, you will probably get what you need from others with a specific end goal to get the achievement.

The Smaller Picture to Reach the Big Picture

So why is it essential to make a well-ordered plan? Once more, a goal won't be achieved in an extremely short measure of time so it is imperative to split it up so you can rejoice milestones along the way. Your values ought to be incorporated in the milestones.

Appreciate the adventure you are on and celebrate how each of your values appears in your accomplishments. How are you being truthful with yourself as well as other people? How are you motivating others to set and accomplish their own particular objectives? Additionally, consider the impact the journey has on others. If you are inscription a novel, what influence do you desire to have on your readers? You likewise need to consider the kind of person you should be to achieve your goal and the sort of person you would like to be at the end. Consider where you are currently and where you are going at last.

Work through your strategy, celebrate along the pathway, and achieve your goals so that you can make something of enormous value for the world. Start small yet aim big and that is the thing that will make your goals inevitable.

Simple Steps to Self-Care

What does self-care mean to you? What pictures come to mind when you think of the words 'self-care'? It usually means something very different for different people. Some of the responses I've had when I've asked people what it means to them include

· Taking time out for me

· Eating healthy

· Exercising

· Having a massage

which are all great answers!

Self-care to me means simply looking after your whole self, not because you 'have to' but because you want to, because it feels good to do so and because you like looking after your own needs as well as other people's and it is such an important thing to do for yourself. We can only give to others when we have plenty within us to give. If you let yourself get run down, tired, de-hydrated, lacking in nutrients, mentally exhausted and a tired body, you simply cannot enjoy life nor can you be there for the important people in your life.

By taking care of yourself properly, you reduce stress in your own life. You increase happiness, you create a healthier body and mind and you feel more satisfied with life in general. Self-care also helps prevent burnout, but most importantly, self-care shows you that you are indeed an important person. That your needs matter just as much as anyone else's needs and that it's not selfish or self-indulgent to take time out for yourself - it's simply showing yourself some self-respect.

There's a difference between eating fast food just because you're hungry and need a quick fix, compared with making yourself a delicious and nutritious meal. Fast food is taking care of the hunger part of your body, but the nutritious meal is taking care of all of yourself; your hunger, but also your body and mind. You can have a quick shower to get clean or you can prepare a warm bath with some Epsom Salts and essential oils and have a soak. Again, these both achieve the goal of getting clean, but the bath is taking care of all of you - allowing you to relax, unwind, have time out and also get clean, instead of the rush that a quick rinse off in the shower will give you.

Often ladies will tell me that the reason they don't do much in the way of self-care is because it's either too expensive or they don't have time. It is true that some self-care activities can be expensive but there's plenty of other things you can do also. Facials, massages, manicures, retreats, yoga classes etc. can all be wonderful ways of taking care of yourself, but of course they come with a price tag. For these type of items, you may want to put a little money aside each week and treat yourself on a quarterly basis for example. Giving yourself these same types of luxuries at home though can be relatively inexpensive and yet you'll still feel great after doing them.

And yes, sometimes self-care actions are impracticable on a daily basis - no, we don't all have time to soak in the bath for an hour every day, but there are many self-care actions that you can introduce that can quickly become habits in your life, and other actions you may want to schedule in time for on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Some cheap, quick and easy ideas for self-care can include:

· Swapping your morning coffee for a slice of lemon in hot water

· Giving yourself a hand massage and manicure

· Taking a nap

· Drawing, painting, creating etc.

· Listen to music

· Meditate

· Going for a walk on the beach (or your other fav place)

· Investing in a foam roller and giving your aching muscles a massage

· Exercising

· Preparing a healthy and nutritious meal

· Reading

· Start a compliment jar. When someone says something nice to or about you, write it down and pop it in your compliments jar. Every now and then re-read through all the beautiful things people think about you

· Stretch your body; or even better find a yoga workout on YouTube and treat your body to that

· Get some sunshine

· Go for a swim

· Slow down. Walk slower than you usually do, put your phone away and try to spot 5 beautiful things in your environment

· Keep a gratitude and accomplishments journal. Each day, write 5 things that you're grateful for and anything you're proud of accomplishing that day

· Give yourself a facial

Other aspects of self-care include things like regular doctor, dentist, option appointments for example. Is there some minor health issue that's been bothering you but you seem to never get around to making that doctor's appointment? If it was your child or family member, would you make sure they got checked out?

Self-care is often the first thing to get neglected when you become busy, tired or stressed and yet it's the very thing that you should be turning to at these times. Many people treat self-care as a type of reward or treat, but if you start incorporating self-care into your daily and weekly routines, you'll begin to notice great improvements in your life. If you're feeling stressed or you've forgotten what self-care feels like, take some time today to pick out a couple of activities you can do every day that is caring just for you and then pick out another maybe lengthier activity you can do on a weekly basis.

Build Powerful Boundaries Using Deadlines - 3 Timely Tips

Deadlines don't sound very inviting, do they? But the word does grab our attention, so I suppose that's a good thing.

But while the word deadlines sounds daunting, I would argue that the best way to deal with deadlines is by embracing the reality that you are in charge (not them). Changing your relationship to your deadlines changes everything!

So when you feel stressed and on overload, step back and think about how to manage the pressures of multiple priorities, tasks, and goals. The skills you practice now will serve you well when you need them most.

To get the ball rolling, how about transforming your deadlines into rewarding exercises in productivity? Not only does this enhance your efficiency, it also builds your confidence, reduces your stress and offers you peace of mind, too.

Do this by re-framing your deadlines as a series of boundary challenges that you possess the power to manage. It is vital to be clear about the fact that you have the power to manage whatever deadline you are working with.

These are your deadlines; you are in charge of them.

Next, use the 3 Time Tips outlined below, knowing that as you practice these skills, you enhance your ability to achieve the goals you've set. This success generates enormous vitality and fundamentally changes the way you relate to deadlines. Doesn't that sound like a win-win proposition?

You and Your Deadlines: 3 Time Tips

1. Understand and respect your hard deadlines.

Hard deadlines are themselves time boundaries: something has to be done by a specific time and date.

These deadlines are non-negotiable and they offer you excellent opportunities to exercise focus and self-reference. That's because to successfully meet a hard deadline you need to set boundaries for yourself (and maybe also for others).

To enhance your self-reference regarding a hard boundary, identify the ways that meeting the deadline will benefit you. This empowers you as it connects you with the task more fully; you now have a personal investment in accomplishing it.

2. Use soft deadlines in combination with hard deadlines.

You can use soft deadlines to reduce the pressure of hard deadlines.

Soft deadlines are actually more like guidelines than deadlines. As necessary, they can be rescheduled to better manage hard deadlines. Just be sure they don't fall off your To Do List entirely!

A good example of a task where soft deadlines can work is raking leaves. You want to be sure to clean them up before the snow flies, but you can exercise some flexibility as to exactly when you do this.

Aim to create your soft deadline well in advance of the hard deadline so you have breathing room.

Another related time tool that can be helpful with hard deadlines is using the "Times-2 Rule" when creating your schedule. Building in extra time for each step positions you to meet your deadline (maybe even with time to spare)!

3. Create a "due date" master plan.

Life isn't simple, and we often have competing priorities. So it's very helpful to step back, scan your schedule and To-Do List to coordinate your various hard and soft deadlines.

And when you do this, be sure to include time to sustain your emotional and physical health. By focusing on your inner well-being, and releasing non-essentials, you shift from an outward-looking scarcity mentality to a self-referenced inner abundance mentality.

Shifting your energetic approach to boundaries and building your time management skills means that you see managing and meeting deadlines as really activating your power. As you build on your successes, you reinforce self-trust, generate more self-confidence, enjoy your productivity, and actually find more time!
