Message From the Universe: Be Open Minded!

Two Woman Chatting

"Sometimes, finally seeing things from someone else's perspective can totally change your life.

Which, sometimes, explains exactly why they're there.

Spooké,
The Universe"

We can't always be set in our ways, all of the time. We get sometimes stuck on a process and find it difficult to get out of it. Since we've been working on this problem for a while, we seem to not see the solution that might be right in front of us. We get consumed by the issue and are not looking at the right places. It is important to allow someone else that is not involved in your venture to look at the issue with a fresh pair of eyes, which is return, can allow them to find a solution, yet, very obvious to you, but hard to see. Because of our implication on the project, obvious solutions aren't that easy to find, especially when we are not looking at the right places. Let the right people offer a hand and you might be surprised on how quick they can resolve your existing issue. Their aptitude is not always a requirement to find a specific kind of solution, because common sense gets involved in the process, regardless of the amount of knowledge you may have on the subject at hand.

When involving others, especially mentors, you may have a fresh perspective on what alternative plan could be available to resolve the existing issue. Being open minded to allowing others to help you find the solution doesn't show a sign of weakness or stupidity, but provides you with a better insights as to what can be the best probable solution to your existing challenge. Admitting your limitations is a sign of respect to yourself, that it is OK not to know EVERYTHING. You are allowed to be weak in certain areas of your life, and this is why others are around you to help you get past these problematic scenarios. You are not the ONLY human on Earth with weaknesses and always remember to avoid, at all costs, to compare these weaknesses with someone else's strength. Nothing good will ever come out of it.

Sixth Sense

According to the Spiritual Science Research Foundation, sixth sense or subtle perception ability "is our ability to understand the subtle cause and effect relationship behind many events which is beyond our understanding of the intellect." ESP, clairvoyance, premonition, and intuition are considered synonyms of sixth sense. In other words, this goes beyond the five senses of smell, taste, sight, touch, and sound.

So why do we even want to explore this as it relates to business? In an article in Psychology Today, "the job of the conscious mind is to form a story out of all our sensations and reflections. Life as we experience it is not just a series of unconnected thoughts and events; it's a coherent narrative unfolding in an orderly universe." If we analyze some of the most successful business leaders, it is very evident that they capitalize on their "intuition" to formulate unique strategies and ideas. Some may even say it is a "gut reaction" but however you label it, it is obvious that it does work as long as you know how to channel it effectively.

If we interviewed 100 famous people, we would probably get 100 different answers on how their sixth sense has gotten them where they are today. The key for all of us is to be open-minded enough to be willing to explore. Like a child who can make a rocket ship out of a box, we need to look at life's experiences in a whole new light. As we grow older, most people become more myopic and lose sight of all that could be in both their personal and professional lives. Sometimes it is as simple as someone else pointing it out that we realize it was staring us in the face all along.

As a coach, this sense of awareness is what makes a coaching session that much more fulfilling. When a client of mine has that ah! ha! moment, it is a time to rejoice. From there, a development plan can be created with clear milestones being defined. The feeling of helplessness and despair seem to disappear and confidence builds. It may take some time to get to that point but all the soul-searching and experiencing new things makes it all worthwhile.

Over the next couple of weeks, take time to really "smell the roses". Make a commitment to yourself that you won't react with a "no" so quickly to invitations to do new things and/or meet new people. Try reading books, watching movies or TV shows, and visiting places that may not have appealed to you in the past but you are willing to take a chance on now. Record all of your six senses. You may feel that you can't "taste" a movie but there may be scenes where your mouth went dry or you noticed the popcorn was very salty. The objective here is to be present at that moment and then write it down after so you can reflect on it periodically. Patterns may start to emerge that can give you ideas on how to have a more exciting life with many new things to experience.

Message From the Universe: It Is Time to Change, For the Better!

"The great thing about change is that it absolutely, positively, always means that things are going to get better.

Even when you don't know how.

You rock,
The Universe"

If you want to live a good life, do not stagnate. You want to be able to experience new things, explore new worlds and destinations, see what suits you best. Fear of change is what a lot of people face on a daily basis. Because change means taking yourself outside your comfort zone, which in return, can be scary because you can't anticipate the outcome. Knowing what will come your way, ALL OF THE TIME, can get boring. Keep some surprise in the mix and always be open minded when it comes to dealing with uncertainties. No one can read or see into the future, so don't try to do that either. Just take or accept life as it comes to you. You can control some outcome, of course, but for other things, it will happen no matter what. You can be exercising every single day, eat well, not smoke or drink, and do whatever you can to stay healthy, but still can be struck with massive coronary attack because of genetics or hereditary issues in the family.

No matter what you do, no matter how much you do of it, nothing really matters. The only thing you can do is work hard, do good around you, help others, better yourself as a person, evolve all throughout your journey in life but most importantly, be thankful and appreciate everything you already have. Never compare your weaknesses to someone else strengths. It will be a losing battle which will leave you more harmed, sad and depressed. You need to built yourself from the ground up and say that you are worth it, that you deserve the best that life can give but always go for it and believe in yourself. Never feel that you are not worth this or that, and all the wealth, fortune and glory is left to only a few people. Abundance is everywhere, as many stars we have in the Universe. It is out there for you to grab and take your share. So what are you waiting for? Don't forget to pass by the Ferrari dealership, a nice yellow or red one is waiting for you to add to your 8 cars garage.
