Accepting Your Life Changes (By Rose Walker)

To let go in life you must accept changes. Change is a part of life and when you resist change you don't grow. Holding on to something or someone, because you can't accept things have changed is only holding you back. We sometimes wonder why things are not working out for us, maybe because it's time to make a change and you have not faced that yet.

For the past 12 years I have worked with writers through two of my companies. I love working with writers and had a passion for it. About 2 years ago I seem to have lost my interest and wasn't marketing my company, doing any new projects or writing. I realized something had shifted in my life and I had no interest in doing any of those things anymore.

After doing some soul-searching, I discovered I wanted to become a relationship/life coach. I have always been the one who family and friends would come to for advice and guidance on life, relationships and careers. I realize my life had changed career-wise and I had to accept it to move on. I now have developed a new company and got my certificate as a relationship coach and closed out my old company. I've moved on and accepted it was time to make a change in my career to give up something I had a passion for to let in something new, that I now have a new passion for.

Was it hard to let go of working with writers? Yes. It had been a part of my life for so long, but life changes. At first, I was not accepting my life had changed until I realize I really have no interest in doing that anymore and I needed to let it go, so I can move on with my life. Whether it's a career, a relationship or a friendship when things change in life you must face it and let it go. Have I given up on my personal writing... no, but that has changed also. The things I wrote about in the past 17 years, I'm not writing about it anymore. I've been working on a relationship book, a different type of book from the writing I did in the past.

So... my question is are you stuck in your life, because life has changed and you're not facing it to let it go?

The Real Meaning Of Respect

Respect is about accepting anybody for who they are, even when they're different from us or we don't agree with them. Respect builds trust, safety, and well-being. In contrast to nourishment, regard costs nothing. Respect and sense of pride are by and by, socially, politically, and ethically significant. Our demeanor and actions have huge impacts, can't be messed with.

Dignity might be something we underestimate. We may find how significant it is the point at which our sense of pride is compromised, or we lose it and need to work to recover it, or battle to create or keep up it in a troublesome situation. A few people find that at last having the option to regard themselves is the thing that issues most by kicking a disturbing propensity, or safeguarding something that they regard. Respect and confidence are profoundly associated.

Respect is a mentality. Show others how respect is done. For youngsters, it's simpler to completely grasp a thought in the event that they see another person using that thought emphatically. This is called modelling behavior. It will motivate other people especially your kids to follow.

Treat others the manner in which you need to be dealt with. When speaking with one another, guardians and teenagers need to dodge indications of discourtesy like shouting, utilizing a dreadful manner of speaking and exhibiting cautious non-verbal communication.

Listening is essential in building respect. Learning the sense of pride is guided by how we see ourselves. The individuals in our lives go about as a mirror in this procedure. At the point when individuals who are essential to us give us consideration and support, we see positive pictures of ourselves. At different occasions, our connections with others may make us feel ugly, uncouth, or even undetectable. Little kids fabricate their feeling of sense of pride from their communications with others. At the point when they are made to feel unique and esteemed, youngsters develop to regard themselves.

A positive feeling of one's self enables the developing youngster to regard others. Sense of pride is at the core of regarding others. At the point when you can distinguish and value your qualities and acknowledge your vulnerabilities, it's simpler to really regard the incentive in others. It is broadly recognized that there are various types of respect. Regard is a responsive connection, and common talk about regard distinguishes a few key components of the reaction, including consideration, yielding, judgment, affirmation, esteeming, and conduct.

In this manner, regarding something appears differently in relation to being negligent or apathetic regarding it, overlooking or rapidly rejecting it, ignoring or dismissing it, or heedlessly or purposefully misidentifying it. It is in uprightness of this part of cautious consideration that respect is in some cases thought of as an epistemic prudence.

So, if you want to respect others, try to respect yourself first. What you think and feel is just as important as what somebody else thinks and feels. In fact, respect for ourselves guides our morals and respect for others guides our manners.

Why You Must Get Rid Of False Expectations

A Woman Sits On A Rock Beside The Lake

A fulfilled life is a result of successive complete and fulfilled days. If you are going to have a fruitful day, it is important that you have the day properly outlined and planned out. Of the many things you need in the right place are expectations: expectations for a positive fruition for plans and objectives. These are expectations we impose on ourselves and are sometimes imposed on us by other people.

Expectations have had a great bearing on how much I have accomplished, they have been the core of my belief and trust that things will happen as desired. Because I have been able to live each day successfully and have accomplished each day according to expectation, life has been a bundle of joy.

However, it has been of utmost importance to define and distinguish between realistic and unrealistic expectations. These can also be termed as true and false expectations. It is worth mentioning that, although truthful expectations help yield positive results, false expectations are a constraint to fulfillment of any endeavor.

While brooding over positive expectations is fundamental, it is of equal importance that false expectations are gotten rid of if achievement is going to be attained. My experience and research has identified an inexhaustible number of false expectations, this helped me get rid of all such hopes. Here now are some common false expectations and why it was important that I get rid of them.

The expectation that everyone should like me.

The expectation that the world must be fair.

The expectation that all my days are supposed to be sunny, that is, a storm will never come.

The expectation of never being anxious or depressed.

The expectation of always being in the driving seat- always in control and always knowing what is going to happen next.

The expectation that people will be perfect.

False expectations made me take up a level of control that I really did not have in given circumstances. This led to considerable failures and disappointments along the way. This denied me the chance to learn from others because, in my mind, I was on top of things and yet was not. I did not let those who knew better control things. Nonetheless, those days are gone and I know better now. I now know only to control the things I can and to let other players act their roles.

Disappointments literally make the heart sick. False expectations when fully mature breed disappointments which in turn sicken the heart. Such emotions are never good for anything, worse still for success and fruition of goals. There is a predisposition in man to repeatedly feel disappointed when their hopes are not met.

False hopes are heavy loads to shoulder. It does not really matter if they are really personal or about others, they are simply heavy to carry. You may want to tone down those expectations because they place unrealistic demands on ourselves, colleagues, etc. A tendency to act as if others "should" just live and give in to our expectations is a common feature of false hopes. They "Should" just know what my desires are is bad for business.

Further, false expectations cause the hopeful individual to have some preconceived blueprint of how things should be without really considering others. People develop an "if- then" syndrome which dictates how things should be done. This is actually a very common erroneous assumption.

To hold on to false expectations is to obstruct the knack to pursue what matters most in life. For example, those who expect NEVER to make a mistake won't actually take any form of a risk in life. And since they will not take risks, it is impossible to step out and pursue the things they care for.

Unfortunately, some expectations are not feasible. They are simply not practical. Often, they might appear like reasonable and viable expectations but are in fact not. From a distance, they may even give the impression of being fair, realistic and reasonable but in reality, such prospects cannot truly be met. Worse still, such expectations only create additional problems, far worse than they solve. For instance, the expectation that young children should always be tip-top in terms of their behavior is far-fetched. A colleague of mine shared his experience, "I had set all the appropriate limits and rules, and for some time they were all fairly-behaved children. But in my efforts and quest to further enforce this expectation, I experienced disappointments, and only roused conflict with the kids besides other problems.

False expectations are always grounds for loss because they set you and other people up for disappointment. Reality is that, there is no life without expectations, however, I choose to hold on to realistic and measurable expectations.

What is true is that I cannot please everyone nor can I make everyone like me. It can't just happen, I will be naïve in trying to make it happen.

To even start wishing I could control all the aspects of my world in order to ensure things function consistently in the most harmonious way is like fighting the wind. The world cannot be all fair and I can only control so much. The rest is about accepting and moving on.

Well, false expectations almost made a stiff naked person out of me, I was becoming rigid to the opinions and inputs of others. I could leave no room for change for situations or let other have a go at matters.

All in all, to get rid of false expectations, it is imperative to arrest all unrealistic hopes, thoughtfully and with seriousness. It will be key to reflect on the potential effect of the expectation and practice consideration for others as they are built. Being flexible and allowing for external impact is the way to go for getting rid of false expectations.

False expectations are a menace and are unhealthy, they should be gotten rid of no matter how hard it may be. It is possible to create a whole set of beliefs, motivations, etc. that will assist you and others.

Until next time,

Your friend,
Felipe

Learn why getting rid of false expectations is fundamental if achievement is going to be attained.

When There Is No Hope Or Chance Left, This Is What You Can Do (By David Samuel)

I have received a comment on the article; How To Find Hope When There Is No Hope Left When I wrote the reply to that comment, I realized that this makes a really good article in itself, so here you go, a great answer for people who think that article is rubbish and not at all realistic. I hope this new version answers many more people in their search to get out of a hopeless or simply 'stuck' life.

There are two ages which we are not acceptable to mainstream workforce, too young and too old. However, with a little creativity, we can overcome these limitations. For example, when I was 12 years old, I understood people like a good deal, and they think they can take advantage of kids. So, I used their greed to put myself in a position to get lots of work, and do a little freelance business at much lower than 'adult' prices.

That got me started in my career as a photographer as I built up enough happy clients who paid less than a quarter they would for an 'adult' and eventually I could raise my prices and build my finances from there. Several young teens have done the same thing.

It's all a matter of accepting the situation and working with it, rather than fighting or complaining about the unfair conditions.

When we are old, we have experiences that we can use in a similar way to create a business for ourself if we cannot get a job.

People are stuck because they cannot see the forest through the trees, as the saying goes. It takes someone looking at them from the outside with enough varied experience and creativity to help them find what they can do on their own to earn some money.

Ethics are the foundation of what is required to open up creativity and build the self-esteem and other qualities necessary to become someone who is in high demand regardless of age or any other factors.

There is a saying in business. The location, the type of business, the funding, and everything else is easy compared to the hardest part of running a good business, which is finding good people to work for you. Maybe you are not as good as you think you are, and need a little polish.

You may have heard this other old saying; 'Necessity is the mother of creation.' The problem is that people tend to think they have tried everything, but that is a rather arrogant saying if you think about it. It implies that you actually know every thing that exists in the universe. Who could honestly say that without it being tantamount to proclaiming being God.

It takes humility and acceptance that just because you cannot find a job or solution, the reason is that you just have not found the right thing yet. So you have to keep looking, or get the help to open your eyes and mind to things you never thought of before.

After saying all this, I think I have come up with the one line that answers the title How to find hope when there is no hope left.

The answer is; to know that you do not know everything and that the answer exists. You just have to keep looking until you find it, have an open mind instead of your fixed opinions, and be humble enough to seek the right help. But before you can do this, you have to let go of your ego and your imagination that you actually have tried everything possible. Basically, you are not as smart as you think you are when you think you have tried 'everything'.

One word of caution about seeking help. If someone makes a living and charges a lot of money to give you advice, they usually do not have very good advice. Just think about this when you go to a coach or mentor. They make a living out of people who are stuck. Therefore, they need you to be stuck so they keep the client. Their main interest is their own income if they work on a set fee so they will give you enough help to feel you are making progress, but never enough for you not to need them anymore.

Find someone who has succeeded so they have proven they know what they are doing, and that they do not have a set fee, but take what you offer or perhaps a percentage of your profits. You need a partner in your success, not someone who makes money whether you succeed or not.

I realized something after being cheated by a lawyer; Never take the advice of someone who will profit from your loss. Choose your guide wisely.
