5 Things That Can Change Your Life

There is no magic wand in this world of harsh reality which can completely transform your life. There are small bits and pieces that one individual has to do in order make this life to be worthy and satisfactory. We see many influencers and youtubers over the internet and makes this prescription that how fortunate and calm these people actually are. But being calm and composed is not only their cup of tea, even anyone can take a path to change their life, it requires just a little bit of hardwork and anticipation towards doing things that you must. Down below are the few things that you need to start doing now in order to pursue a life that you wanted.

Listening to podcasts

Many people have this courage and audacity to read those gigantic books which are good down the line. But for those who do not have time to sit and read, for them there is this thing going popular around the block called" podcasts". Podcasts are nothing but the audio version of video files and are the series of episodes of famous interviews, books and many more things. Download your referred series and listen to it while travelling or while doing any chore. Listening to the famous person's interviews and successful entrepreneur's story will give you more positivity and meaning towards life.

Solo Trip around the Places Which You Desire to See

We people have been chained in a system, where we worship dependency on others majority of times to do even a basic task like going or visiting nearby places. Who said you can't step out of the home without any company. Go try the new places like café around your locality, watch a movie, try a new theatre or maybe sightsee the famous monuments that are drawn in your history books. Who said your trips has to start with bigger things, try taking a stroll in a park alone daily and see the difference. This will completely help you to get ahead in your life peacefully and give you more courage to get out of your comfort zone.

Learn Everyday Something New

Is there any passion or activity you love to do? If yes, then go on and learn about it in a detailed manner. The passion no matter how big or small is if it is your go-to thing, then go ahead. Make a promise to learn each day something new, whether it is cooking or forms of dance. You will inherit that positivity and confidence that no other regular doing can provide you. Be your boss and learn whatever drives you or motivates you to live each day.

Get Up and Dress

Who said you can dress well for big occasions only, why can't you dress up each day for cheering towards the life that you wanted to live. Dressing doesn't have to mean roaming around the house in tuxedos or ties. It means dressing up clothes that makes you feel pumped up. Wear a nice scent and experiment with your styling and then go do the daily task. The amount of confidence and love you will receive towards your body will ultimately quench your soul only.

Be Grateful

No matter how big you become, you should be thankful to your life and must owe this life which taught you so many things and gave reasons to live. Pay gratitude to things that came your way no matter positive or negative, they came for a reason. Try putting this gesture and see how negativity will be blown out from your life.

You do not have to be big enough to live a leading life, you need to make your life big enough to let you live.

Learn more about leading a peaceful life and get familiar with the tips that can beat any challenge in life.

For Personal Transformation And Finding Direction In Life Consider Going To The Theater More Often

A good movie needs to have the power to influence on your objectives and goals.

Do you want to find ways for a better world in your heart and transform your life?

I mean finding hope for a better future through the characters it brings to life.

The show at a theater can be a meaningful and abundant experience when you're up against no direction in life, and can lend hope for a better future.

The Course in Miracles teaches that, "Real freedom depends on welcoming reality... "

If you enjoy the movies, you can use it as your inspirational force by responding to these questions:

- How did this movie motivate you to pursue overcoming the feeling of no direction in life?

- Exactly what did the characters teach you about success and exactly what action will you take to follow their examples?

- Exactly what did the characters teach you about mistakes and exactly what negative wrong-minded actions will overcome to achieve your purpose in life?

- Does this motion picture stir in you powerful emotions and help you answer to what is my purpose in life?

In enjoying a film, it's safe to feel emotions you typically conceal in reality, from unhappiness and pain to joy and bliss.

Life has lots of feelings. It's not a story about real life, however, a lifeless illustration in motion can stir effective emotions in you.

To make the most out of a good film's capability

Stir powerful emotions on ways for a life of purpose, by responding to these concerns:

- What powerful feelings did this film bring or stir to the surface in you?

- How have you been managing those feelings in reality (such as preventing, suppressing, or letting out of control) and what outcomes are you getting?

- Can you make any improvements in the way you are managing those sensations?

- Does this motion picture show you ways to deal with the unknown and get beyond felling of no direction in life?

Like a great mentor or coach, a great motion picture needs to have lessons that prepare you and instill hope for a better future and caution you about the risks and rewards of your purpose in life.

The characters need to be honest examples of genuine people and their methods of dealing with life's curveballs needing to teach meaningful lessons for your life.

To make the most out of those lessons

For ways for a better life, address these questions:

- What did this character (or characters) do to face that unanticipated obstacle?

- What happened as an outcome?

- What am I learning from the example of this character (or characters) that I must utilize (or avoid) in my own life, when I face comparable life challenges?

Put more music in your life if it's the music.

Choose an area of your life that lacks action and do something about it if it's the action series.

One Author who I admire talked about the Wizard of Oz, where the Good Witch of the North told Dorothy she had it in her all along to return to Kansas.

I'll add to that, where I see the melting of the Wicked Witch of the West in her dark castle as how we fear when the ego in us fades away.

The Course in Miracles states, "The children of light cannot abide in darkness, for darkness is not in them."

Ways to Apply the above Criteria

Get together with a few loved friends or ones who like the theater.

Pick a motion picture and watch intensely using the three requirements above. Remember the questions noted within each criterion.

If you want to begin finding happiness and have more hope for a better future, and you likewise love films, feel good about making an effort to give their lessons a chance to lend you help for personal transformation.

An excellent movie or show usually has the power to inspire you for changing your life for the better, through the characters resembling poetic parallels to your life.

Hey, here's to the movies for inspiring a better life!

How To Transform Your Life And Get Started On A Personal Growth Plan (By James Nussbaumer)

Ever feel like you need to figure a way for how you can change your life? It wasn't that long ago when my entire life crashed to a wrecking ball, and then a miraculous personal growth plan had started.

I'd known deep within there was a burning need to change my life and to make a much needed career change, but I'd put off on taking any sort of action.

The Course in Miracles teaches, "There is no substitute for truth. And truth will make this plain to you as you are brought into the place where you must meet with truth."

I was nervously treading water, watching my boat sinking fast, and without a life preserver. I was turning fifty, and felt anchored to the bottom of the lake, lost for air.

The Confused Mind

For many years a voice within would tell me, "you can change your life," a transformation had been urging a shift in me, but out of fear I resisted. I would hear the voice, but just wouldn't listen.

I felt as though I couldn't find my inner peace, so I tried on the weird belief that I could make something of myself that I was not meant to be.

As I see it now, when I wouldn't take action when the voice urged "you can change your life," this was the beginning of an undoing process that would eventually set me free.

The Course in Miracles states, "The Holy Spirit has the power to change the whole foundation of the world you see to something else; a basis not insane, on which sane perception can be base, another world perceived."

Listening to the Voice

This undoing entailed the gradual, ongoing obliteration of a manmade thought system I had been buying into for most of my adult life.

At the time, while continuing to feel that urging in me saying, you can change your life, I felt myself drowning in a sea of disbelief, a confused mind, and terror.

An indictment had been issued by the grand jury of the State of Ohio, and I was soon to be arrested for a selfish mistake I made through my business practice as a financial advisor.

My actions were not a part of a Ponzi scheme, but more a brash mishandling of the money of three clients totaling approximately 100,000 dollars.

And then, from prison, is when I began writing, and finally started following the guidance of my inner Teacher telling me, you can change your life.

To a life of peace and success!

How to Transform Your Life With Affirmations

Why affirmations are good for your health

You've probably heard about affirmations and how a mind filled with positive words can contribute to a more peaceful and grounded inner life. But studies have also proven, that people exercising the method of positive affirmations, tend to grow muscles way faster and find it easier to become physically strong in most cases.

Being optimistic and life affirming is directly connected to a greater resilience against stress and all sorts of physical diseases.

At the same time, your face will become softer, wrinkles may vanish and your skin will become cleaner. There will be a gorgeous shine radiating from you. Expect to get more and more compliments for your good looks which boost your self-confidence and self-love even more.

Other health benefits include lower blood pressure, better overall circulation and a much reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.

Ever heard about the placebo effect? Patients given some fake medicine have shown to experience healing just by having a thought planted into their minds: They believe in the cure and therefore get cured indeed.

Affirmations work just that way!

Starting your day with positive affirmations is most effective since you can carry that vibrant feeling throughout the whole day.

Also, nourishing your mind with peaceful and life affirming thoughts right before you go to sleep has shown to have a tremendous impact on your welfare.

That way, your subconscious will continue to do the work for you and solidify the message while you are sound asleep. It's that easy.

Affirmations for success

Now we've provided you with some basic information about affirmations and hopefully could plant a little seed of hope and inspiration so you could think of giving it all a try.

But how exactly can you make them work for you and help you succeed in life? At first, it might still feel weird and not right to you, telling yourself nice things. We have been programmed from an early age to be critical, modest and not very fond of ourselves. I say find your own light and let it shine! Unfortunately, our society wants people to fit in for the most part, but what about all of our own talents, interests and passions?

When you find what you truly want and need, nobody can stop you. Just repeat your deepest desires to yourself over and over again. It might be best to start with something that is nourishing to your soul, like saying "I love myself" into a mirror. If that is too hard, just repeat it in your head when you relax on your bed. Make room for the new beliefs you want to have by forgetting about the compromising words you have been confronted with in your life.

Only you shape the perception of yourself and by believing in them, you will let them shine through and affect people around you as well. Collect a few of your most needed or fitting affirmations and put them around your room or house, make little love notes for yourself and repeat them a few times whenever you see one. They will soon sound familiar and like second nature to you, so that your old thinking patterns just vanish like they never existed.

You deserve a life full of positivity and all you have to do for that is invest a little time and be persistent. You are already holding the key in your hand.

Changing The Role You Play to Manifest a New Life

Do you know the role you are currently playing? If your life was part of a TV show or a play, how would you describe your character? What is his/her role about? Take a few moments and write it down and describe it completely. Next, ask yourself if this is actually the role you'd like to play. If it's not it's a simple thing to change roles.

Describe thoroughly the role you'd like to have. What do you look like, feel like? How are your relationships? How do you deal with money? How healthy are you? What do you do for fun? Let your imagination go wild, dream big and bravely.

Now, understand that both of these roles are the result of what you imagine yourself to be. The first one feels real because you've played that role for so long. Truth is, that the second one is just as available to you as the role you no longer enjoy playing.

Your life is the result of what you imagine yourself and world to be. You've spent your life creating and recreating it based on what you hold to be true. Your life expands according to and as a perfect reflection of what you believe or hold to be true. In order to change roles you must start at the core. What do you believe about yourself and the world in relationship with you?

A new role is the result of you imagining yourself totally different. You must go within and create an image of your new self in such vivid detail that the reality of it overshadows the old role. Hold to this vision of the new you, feel from it, speak from it, live from it. Be the new you in every detail. Don't go back to the old role of worry, stress, lack and ill health. Stay in the new role until it appears in vivid detail as your new reality.

Exercise your imagination in a way that brings about the reality you truly desire to experience. When your mind wanders to the old role, pause and move into the new one. Listen for what you are aiming into form. Your words reveal the role you are currently playing. Change those I AM statements to be in harmony with the new you.

You have all the power you need, right now, to create a new role for yourself. Imagine your world into form!

How much happiness can you handle?
Find out how to transform your life with the power of JOY!

The Road to Achievement - How to Make Vision Boards

Vision boards are the leading tool for maintaining motivation and achieving personal goals. This new-age miracle will transform your life, enabling you to focus on taking action and fulfilling your wildest dreams. There are several steps that are necessary to make a vision board whether you are creating one that is either physical or digital. These steps are the following:

Setting Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely (SMART) Goals

Before spending time searching for images or pictures from magazines, the first step in making a vision board is to set some goals. These SMART goals should be measurable and include timelines to ensure accountability. For instance, if one is desiring to save money for a purchase such as a car, then the first step would be to set some goals towards savings and budgeting on a weekly and daily basis. The biggest question would also be: How long would one realistically need to save for the type of car in which he or she desires? Once that question has been answered, then he or she can begin formulating the rest of the SMART goal towards that specific desire.

Gathering Images or Pictures

This is the fun part! Step two requires that individuals collect their images and pictures so that they can use it later to create their vision board. It's important to monitor the time as individuals tend to spend great deals of time trying to determine which images would work. This is where individuals should revisit the goals that will guide them during creating their vision boards.

Adding Images or Pictures

The third step is where individuals will either physically cut, copy, and paste them on their physical vision board or save and upload to their digital board. Either way, they are able to use their creativity to bring their dreams to life.

Practicing Visualization on a Daily Basis

The last step is to practice visualizing having those things that they truly desire. This can be done in a prayer meditation or other form of mindfulness. It's something that should be at least once a day or several times day. Whatever strikes your fancy!

The bottom line is that a vision board is the pathway to getting exactly what your heart desires. So, what are you waiting for-Manifest Your Dreams.

Find Your Big Magic

I've followed Liz Gilbert's recent work on creativity for over a year, and her ideas resonate deeply with me.

At the heart of it all is her book "Big Magic," which I finally finished a few weeks ago. It brought me to tears, and I hope you will read it for yourself (if you haven't already).

She talks about all the things that come up when we strive to live a creative life. (And I happen to believe that entrepreneurship is inherently a creative endeavor!) She explores handling fear, questions of originality, keeping creativity playful rather than heavy, dealing with the crap that comes along with it, and so much more!

It's the kind of book that can speak to different people in different ways. Or even to the same person differently depending on the stage they are at. That's why you should read it for yourself, and let it give you what you need.

But today I wanted to share a little bit of the magic that I got from this book in this moment of my life and business.

This summer I found myself in a creative transition. Between family activities, other projects and a new creative outlet, I wasn't able to stick to my content creation schedule for my business. I was really beating myself up about it, after all I am a Content Creation Coach!! Then, I read this...

"If you can't do what you long to do, go do something else... You might think it's procrastination, but-with the right intention-it isn't; it's motion. And any motion whatsoever beats inertia, because inspiration will always be drawn to motion. So wave your arms around. Make something. Do something. Do anything. Call attention to yourself with some sort of creative action, and-most of all-trust that if you make enough of a glorious commotion, eventually inspiration will find it's way home to you again." (-pg. 254)

I realized that, while I was struggling to write a blog article, I was seeing dances in my mind to every song that I heard. My creative focus had shifted, so I followed it.

I have indeed made a "glorious commotion" that has felt chaotic, spontaneous, uncoordinated and amazing. In my case, I was following inspiration, which had turned its head and gone in a completely different direction.

It was like it didn't have the capacity to look in both directions at the same time. I honestly thought about dropping one part of my life completely, or giving up on another.

However, with time, I'm finding that my inspiration and creative capacity is expanding to include both worlds. The whole process has been really interesting.

Then I read what Liz Gilbert has to say about when things get interesting...

"People quit as soon as things aren't easy anymore, as soon as it gets painful, or boring, or agitating. They quit as soon as they see something in their minds that scares them or hurts them. So they miss the good part, the wild part, the transformative part - the part when you push past the difficulty and enter into some raw new unexplored universe within yourself... As my friend Pastor Rob bell warns: 'Don't rush through the experiences and circumstances that have the most capacity to transform you.' Don't let go of your courage the moment things stop being easy or rewarding. Because that moment? That's the moment when interesting begins." (- pg. 247)

It's in these "interesting" moments that the Big Magic really happens. Now that doesn't mean that you will create the most amazing thing. You might not. Big Magic isn't about the outcome, it's about the experience and growth that happens in the process...

"What you produce is not necessarily always sacred, I realized, just because you think it's sacred. What is sacred is the time that you spend working on the project, and what that time does to expand your imagination, and what that expanded imagination does to transform your life." (- pg. 232)

This is the part that is hard as a Content Creation Coach who works with business owners and entrepreneurs. We want there to be a formula for great content that will always resonate with our ideal clients. But it doesn't really work that way. See, our ideal clients...

"They are just people. They are just like us. They are whimsical and quirky. They're a little different every day, just as you and I are a little different every day. There is no neat template that can ever predict what will capture any one person's imagination, or when; you just have to reach them at the right moment. But since the right moment is unknowable, you must maximize your chances. Play the odds. Put yourself forward in stubborn good cheer, and then do it again and again and again... The effort is worth it, because when at last you do connect, it is an otherworldly delight of the highest order." (- Pg. 195)

And that is the whole point... to connect with other people. Too often we forget that connecting and building relationships is the purpose of our content. And the only way that happens is if we put ourselves out there. If we share the truth of what we know, and even who we are. That's more important than the work being perfect, or original, or brilliant. That is real authenticity.

"Authenticity has a quiet resonance that never fails to stir me. Just say what you want to say, then, and say it with all your heart." - pg. 98

Liz Gilbert never fails to inspire me, so if you are in need of some inspiration, pick up Big Magic, or check her out through any of those mentioned below. And then go make something!

Two Powerful NLP Techniques to Transform Your Life

In this article I have listed only two of many powerful techniques that I have used to change my behaviour and transform my life. Using them will help you achieve better results and attract more positive experiences in your life.

1. Meaning Reframe (content reframe)

"For there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." (William Shakespeare-Hamlet, Act 2.) As human beings we attribute meaning to everything that we encounter and experience in life. It's how we make sense of the world around us. Our experiences don't necessarily have any meaning whatsoever, the meaning they have is what we give them.

If you find yourself in a situation that causes fear, anger or discouragement, this technique will help you change the meaning of the situation. It will enable you to think about it in a more empowering and resourceful way. In a nutshell, it will allow you to place the content of the situation into another frame.

For me reframing is a way of turning my negative thoughts about a situation into positive ones. This doesn't mean I'm being unrealistic or oblivious to potential challenges within the situation, but rather more empowered to find practical solutions that work. By changing the meaning I attach to the experience I gain a new perspective.

2. Perceptual Positioning

There are times when people can't see things from your perspective, they seem to be stuck within their own world and can't seem to understand what it may be like for you. When we are able to understand other people's maps of the world, we are able to communicate better, show empathy, resolve conflict and maintain rapport.

A principle way to gain information that may have been hidden from conscious awareness is systematically shifting from one perceptual position to another. There are three main perceptual positions: first, second and third position. This involves seeing things from our perspective (first), the other person (second or other), and from a detached position (third or observer).

The one I want to mention is the second position, this is where you imagine stepping into the other persons shoes and start to experience the world through their eyes, you will disassociate from your own thoughts, feelings and beliefs and associate into the 'other', you will 'see' yourself through their eyes. The more you can associate with their beliefs, values and feelings, the more accurate you will be to understanding their view, as well as increase rapport.

Conclusion

When these two NLP techniques are practiced correctly, they can promote change in many areas of your life. If you feel the technique isn't producing the desired effect, keep practicing it until you experience the desired effect.

How to Transform Your Life in 6 Minutes a Day

Oh, you’re busy? Weird, I thought it was just me.
No matter where you are in life at this moment, there is at least one thing that you and I have in common: We want to improve our lives and ourselves. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with us, but as human beings we’re born with a desire to continuously grow and improve. I believe it’s within all of us. Yet most people wake up each day and life pretty much stays the same.
If success and fulfilment were measured on a scale of 1 to 10, it’s safe to say that everyone would want to live every aspect of their lives at a Level 10.
Here’s the catch: To create the Level 10 life that you ultimately want, you must first dedicate time each day to becoming a Level 10 person who is capable of creating and sustaining that level of success.
But who has time for that, right? Luckily, there is a method to do it in as little as six minutes a day.
Enter the life SAVERS, a sequence that combines the six most effective personal development practices known to man. While someone could invest hours on these practices, it only takes one minute for each -- or six minutes total -- to see extraordinary results.

Just imagine if the first six minutes of every morning began like this:
Minute 1: S is for silence.
Instead of hitting the snooze button, and then rushing through your day feeling stressed and overwhelmed, invest your first minute in sitting in purposeful silence. Sit quietly, calm and peaceful and breathe deeply. Maybe you meditate. Center yourself and create an optimum state of mind that will lead you effectively through the rest of your day.
Maybe you say a prayer of gratitude and appreciate the moment. As you sit in silence, you quiet your mind, relax your body and allow your stress to melt away. You develop a deeper sense of clarity, purpose, and direction.

Minute 2: A is for Affirmations.

Pull out and read your page of affirmations -- written statements that remind you of your unlimited potential, your most important goals and the actions you must take today to achieve them. Reading over reminders of how capable you really are motivates you. Looking over which actions you must take, re-energizes you to focus on doing what’s necessary today to takeyour life to the next level.

Minute 3. V is for visualization.

Close your eyes and visualize what it will look like and feel like when you reach your goals. Seeing your ideal vision increases your belief that it’s possible and your desire to make it a reality.

Minute 4. E is for exercise.

Stand up and move your body for 60 seconds, long enough to increase the flow of blood and oxygen to your brain. You could easily do a minute of jumping jacks, push-ups, or sit-ups. The point is that you raise your heart rate, generate energy and increase your ability to be alert and focused.

Minute 5. R is for reading.

Grab the self-help book you’re currently reading and read one page, maybe two. Learn a new idea, something you can incorporate into your day, which will improve your results at work or in your relationships. Discover something new that you can use to think better, feel better and live better.

Minute 6. S is for scribing.

Pull out your journal and take one minute to write down something you’re grateful for, something you’re proud of and the top one to three results that you’re committed to creating that day. In doing so, you create the clarity and motivation that you need to take action.

Start today.

How would you feel if that’s how you used the first six minutes of each day? How would the quality of your day -- and your life -- improve? We can all agree that investing a minimum of six minutes into becoming the person that we need to be to create the lives we truly want is not only reasonable. It’s an absolute must.

5 Ways to Make Yourself Happier in the Next 5 Minutes

... and you'll be surprised how long the good feeling lasts

Happiness is a lifelong pursuit of meaning, purpose, and fulfilment. But while it could take years of persistence to deeply transform your life, there are scientifically-tested strategies that have been shown to provide an immediate happiness boost. Such activities provide a modest but lingering increase in happiness, but when practised consistently over time, they become happiness habits, energizing you to live your dreams and passions.
Here are 5 such strategies that you can practice right now, to get a shot of healthy psychological nutrients:
1. Do some jumping jacks.
Aerobic exercise boosts one’s positive mood. In 2005, Researchers at Chicago State University and the University of Minnesota analyzed 158 different studies conducted between 1979 and 2005 [1]. They found that the effect of aerobic exercise was consistently positive, and was especially noticeable when one started an exercise session while feeling a little more "down" than usual. In other words, physical exercise can lift you up when you need it the most. In a more recent study, researchers at Halmstad University in Sweden analyzed 15 different studies and found that physical exercise can be an effective treatment of mild and moderate depression [2]. Body and mind are inseparable. A couple of minutes of jumping jacks may go a very long way.
2. Call a friend or family member.
Positive social connections are a cornerstone of happiness and health [3]. A conversation with a friend can have a lasting positive effect, increasing your energy and cultivating motivation. In fact, simply belonging to a social group or having a minimal personal connection with another person creates lasting and significant drive [4]. If there are people around you right now whom you like and appreciate, walk up to one and talk with them—or pick up the phone and say hi.
3. Write down 3 things you are grateful for.
Many people maintain a journal in which they write down the things for which they are grateful. The simple exercise of acknowledging your good fortune by identifying “three good things,” has been shown to provide both an immediate and lasting effect on happiness [5]. In a study published in 2012, positive psychologists Stephen Schueller and Acacia Parks tested this strategy in an online setting [6] and found that the benefits lasted as long as six months. A small uptick for six months in return for just five minutes of writing is a pretty good deal.
4. Imagine the best-case outcome for your near future.
Research consistently shows that imagining your “best possible self” makes you significantly more optimistic [7], delivering a range of positive emotions. When I met with coach Caroline Miller during Ride of Your Life and asked her about the path to inner peace, she suggested to “pretend” being an optimist when thinking about the future: “The world is a random set of events to pessimists. Optimists, on the other hand, believe they control the things around them. So, in some ways, you have to pretend you’re an optimist.”
In line with common belief, thinking positively (yet realistically) about the future is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Take a few minutes to imagine and write down the best-case scenario for the coming months or years. You may be surprised to discover how bright this possible future may be.
5. Set an intention for the day.
One of the most established and validated models of psychological wellness was published by Carol Ryff of the University of Wisconsin nearly 20 years ago [8]. It includes six elements that constitute happiness, of which one’s autonomy is the most prominent. Setting a daily intention to guide your day puts you in the driver’s seat, where you can make conscious decisions, rather than react to incoming demands. You may not be able to get your way all the time, but simply being aware of what you intend to accomplish will provide you with a sense of purpose, and an opportunity to be consistent in the way you interact with the world.
If you’ve made it here to the end of this post, give it a shot right now — what is your daily intention?

5 Simple Changes That Could Help Transform Your Life

As popular as goal-setting may be, sometimes it’s better to start small when you’re looking to make big, long-lasting change. Small, easy steps – that is the key.
So, if you’ve taken a look at your life and decided that the time for change is NOW, start small. Try setting a goal to change as little as 3-5 things in your life one thing at a time. Make it manageable.
Want some suggestions?
Here are 5 simple changes that will help send you in the right direction toward positive, long-lasting change:
1. Invite more love into your life. A hug from a friend, holding your partner’s hand, a kind deed for a stranger; fill your day with love in all of its forms. Feeling loved and offering gestures of love is known to release oxytocin in the brain, promoting feelings of comfort and relaxation. So don’t just leave it up to others to give you the love that you crave, seek it out and create it for yourself.
2. Eat clean. If you’re looking to create easy, positive change in your life – why not start with something for your health? It’s true what they say, ‘you are what you eat’. So why not try making your diet a little cleaner? Even if you start by changing one single meal a day, add more veggies and salad to your plate or make sure that for at least one meal you are using fresh ingredients. You’ll be amazed at how this one small change will impact your energy levels, health and overall mood for the better.
3. Meditate. Likewise, why not make a change for your emotional health?
Tried mediation? Did you find it impossible to do? Don’t give up yet – you don’t have to be an expert or capable of meditating for hours on end to feel the benefits. Simply giving yourself 5 minutes a day to quieten and still your mind will make all the difference to how you feel every day. Whether you’re doing it whilst drying your hair, walking to work or sitting on the train, make this one simple change to connect with your breathing and you’ll be glad you did!
4. Enjoy regular ‘date’ nights. And not just of the romantic kind… Simply set aside at least one night each week that can be dedicated entirely to your happiness. You’re probably thinking right now – shouldn’t every day be for that? True, it should! But unfortunately people can become so swept up in their hectic schedules and everyday stresses that taking time out for themselves has to be made a priority.
So whether it’s treating yourself to a night in of pampering, a movie night with friends, catching up with family or a hot date with your other half – fit it in. It’ll give you something to look forward to each week and you’re guaranteed some much needed ‘feel good’ time. It’s a win-win!
5. Celebrate your success! Finally, if you’re going to commit to any change, make it this one; celebrating your success. Make it an essential part of your everyday to celebrate the things that are going right in your world! Commit to looking for and appreciating reasons to be grateful in your lifeevery-single-day. This will not only help to make your world feel an all-round much better place, but will also get your positive energies flowing in the right areas of your life.
Small steps are what make big change. So what are you waiting for? Start reaching for your goals and kick-start change in your life, beginning with any of the above.
