Stop Wishing For A Better Life And Embrace The One You Have Now

The Grass Is Rarely Greener On The Other Side

Let's be truthfully honest: Are you happy with your life or do you wish things were different? For example, how would a life coach evaluate it? Would they make adjustments here and there or give you their sign of approval? Sometimes we allow our negative emotions to get in the way of what life is trying to tell us. We might see our friends or those on Instagram living wonderful lives and wish ours was the same. Though we are not looking at things objectively but judging it on appearances alone. No matter how successful, rich or happy you are, there will always be challenges and no one is immune from them. Does it make sense that wishing for a better life doesn't bring it into existence? It requires picking apart what is not working and attending to those details consistently.

It's no secret, everyone wants a better life. But as you may or may not know, the grass is rarely greener on the other side. It may appear that way but as soon as you attract better circumstances there will be new problems and challenges to overcome. For example, those who are single might lament their loneliness and want to be in an intimate relationship to compensate for this. However, some become disheartened when the relationship doesn't meet their expectations and they wish they were single once more. The same is true with money. When we're struggling financially, we wish for an endless supply of money, however if we become financially successful, there are other challenges that arise. Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting we shouldn't become financially free. Though, we ought to develop the right mindset so irrespective of whether we are rich or poor, single or in a relationship, we will be happy nonetheless. How do you feel about this? Can you learn to be happy with your current circumstances knowing your life is a work in progress?

Work Through Your Problems

The key is understanding that life is a constantly evolving process. Sometimes we will experience difficulties, pain and struggles, while other times we will experience joy, elation and success. Winston Churchill said it perfectly: "Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm." He knew that to succeed, we mustn't lose enthusiasm despite our difficulties. Challenges help us sharpen the saw of our character. Whilst it may not be clear to us at the time, our pain and troubles can help us get clear on living the life we dreamed of. I have encountered many challenges throughout my life. There were moments where I thought I was doomed for failure. Not that I didn't want to succeed, though every time I tried, I failed miserably. I thought life was against me and I compared myself to others who were succeeding. But those lessons contributed to my personal development. What you believe to be deleterious may be the greatest thing for your personal growth. It is said: The obstacle is the way.

Is this making sense? Can you appreciate what happens outside of you reflects what is taking place within you? I'm certain you have many questions brewing inside your mind. I invite you to write them down in a journal, if you use one. If you don't, it would be a good time to start because journaling is an effective way to observe the theme of your life. This is the first thing I recommend to new coaching clients when we work together. Journaling is a powerful tool to become aware of our thoughts and work through our difficulties. It requires observing what is not working in your life and coming up with ways to overcome those challenges. You literally become better at working through solutions instead of falling into despair. Even if we like to compare ourselves to others, we realise it is futile because the assessment is unproductive. We ought to become our own motivator, counsellor if we wish to conquer our challenges.

As we work through our problems, life will not seem as bleak as we think. It only looks that way because we get stuck in a certain way of living and can't find our way out. We are like mice in a lab experiment, spinning on a never-ending wheel with no exit. The keys are in your hand and they lie in your ability to find solutions to your problems. With this in mind, I'd like you to take one pressing issue in your life and journal five to eight solutions. They might not look impressive upon first glance, however revisit them over the coming days and narrow them down to three. When you are satisfied, pick one and act on it. Note in your journal whether it helps you or if it requires more steps. It is when we stop wishing for a better life and embrace the one we are given, that we appreciate a better life has been staring us in the face all along

Do You Have The Right Mindset?

I think we can all probably agree that your actions lead to your results. If you want different results, you need to change your actions. If actions lead to your results, what leads to your actions?

Your Big Why

Your big why is, or will be, the most important reason for your success. If you plan to have success, the question that you need to answer for yourself is why do you need the success? What is the reason you get up and get at it each day? What motivates you to accomplish your goals? You need to be very clear on this and focus on it.

My big why has changed a little over the years, but the one that got me going was to help my dad. I lost my mom to cancer when I was really young and my dad raised me and my brother and sister by himself. I have zero complaints about my childhood because he was such a great parent. I owe a lot to him. Being a single parent and one income family, it was difficult for him to even think about his retirement. He was unable to successfully plan for his retirement and is still working today. I want to help him enjoy the latter years of his life and help him, if he would ever allow it, with his retirement.

Fear

I am reading the series Harry Potter right now and I think that is where I heard this quote. "Courage isn't not having fear but is acting in spite of fear." Everyone has fear of the unknown, and taking chances certainly has some unknown results. Fear is the number one career killer, and what separates successful people from average people is acting ANYWAY. This comes back to your big why. Is your big why strong enough to force you to act in spite of your fears? If not, get a new big why, so that fear does not murder your potential.

The Law of Attraction

I am a big, big believer in this. It started with the movie The Secret and has exploded from there. I have studied this and truly believe in its power. If you have no idea what I am talking about, you should start by reading or watching The Secret.

The idea here is that if you can make your mind truly believe something, it will happen. Good ways to use this resource is by affirmations. There are entire books written about how to use affirmations, but you want to put a goal in your mind, like it is already yours, by repeating it to yourself over and over and over... Vision boards are another great way to use the law of attraction. I have vision boards in my house that I look at frequently. These boards are loaded with things that I want. Your goals need to be realistic to you or you will not have much luck convincing yourself that it is yours; so start small and work your way up.

Investment or Expense?

Many people think subconsciously that money they invest in their business (like marketing) or money they spend on themselves (like education) is an expense. What I want you to believe is that these are actually investments. The reason for the distinction is that, investments pay you back with interest and expenses are gone forever. So many small companies end up failing because when things get tight, they cut their marketing budget. If things get tight, they might want to increase their marketing or become more efficient, because that is what brings in the business. Never cut the marking budget, unless you need to slow growth. Cutting that budget can be fatal. As far as investing in yourself, I believe you should continue to educate yourself constantly, but especially when you are not consistently reaching your goals. You should probably consider investing at least 10% of your personal income back into your own education until you are consistently reaching your desired results. With that being said, I am very proud to say that my company offers lots of solid educational opportunities free of charge. Now there really are no excuses.

Fake it Until You Make it

When you are trying to start something new or expand on what you are doing, there is a time in the beginning where you really don't know what you are doing. It is during this time that you are vulnerable, which of course brings fear and can potentially stop your actions. If you fake it and pretend you know exactly what you are doing, you will quickly learn what to do and how to act. That, and your confidence, will attract the people that you need to help you accomplish what you are seeking. I am not saying to lie to anyone, but you can easily lean on others experiences and act with confidence to get the job done. By not faking it, you will have a lot of hesitance and will attract more objections and more things that will hold you back.

Three Ways To Improve Your Day Immediately

Stress in our daily routines can affect us all. It comes in many forms and it would be foolish to say that everyone experiences the same level of stress at the same time because we do not. However, from over 10 years of practicing stress reducing methods and exercises, I have found techniques I have used myself everyday to help make my day smooth or to help turn the tables when things are not going well.

Set Goals

Setting goals can be satisfying and help you to gain clarity and focus. I've been in situations where I've financially hit a brick wall. But you know what? I learned that you can do things even when funds are low. Injury, Illness, family hardship can take a toll, but if you can set goals, write them down and just focus on one task at a time, then it will help you gain focus and better outlook towards the future. Goals should get you excited.

10 Minute Breathing Sessions

Many things can happen in ten minutes. You can go to the grocery store, you can take a walk around the block, or make a phone call or two. Much can be done with this, so take time out to regain clarity. Take twenty minutes if you need, even an hour. Stretch, breath, walk, meditate.

Why do I recommend breathing exercises? Because it can help reset the mind and body and put you in a more balanced state.

Treat Yourself

Don't feel guilty treating yourself. You have to take care of number one before you can take care of two, three, and number fifty! Don't convince yourself that self care is selfish, because not giving your best is worse. You've workout all week, have a reward meal. Go see that movie, two hours away from the problem you've been hacking away to solve will help you move closer to a solution. Just getting a massage can make you feel great and put you in the right mindset. It has worked for me, and I remember the two voices in my head. One voice that was complaining and dragging me down, and another voice after treating myself that told me I should have done this sooner.

As you have read there are a combinations of strategies we can use to help us power through our day. Good days lead to good weeks which lead to good months and powerful years.

Remember to consult your mental healthcare professional if you feel like you're experiencing signs of depression or other mental conditions.

How To Have The Mindset For Success

Learning how to have the mindset for success is crucial when you want a successful and blissful life. If you are like me, you might have many goals you want to achieve. Whatever these goals are, the key is to have a growth mindset rather than a fixed one. But what is the difference and how you get it?
How can you set and have the mindset for success? Do you want to reach your goals more rapidly? In how many years did you plan to achieve your goals?

Many people, as well as I, preach hard work, focus, persistence and more but these are by-products of something else. It is something much more powerful than we can all develop. This extraordinary thing is critical to success, and it is your mindset.

Without the right mindset, you might find yourself sidetracked by your everyday routine. You can also often be distracted by the latest and most fabulous idea you are just having, which rarely pushes you to follow one path until successful.

You may think that you have all the time in the world to achieve your goals. But you have to realize that if you set your mindset for success, you can apply it to other domains as well. In this way, you will reach your goals much faster and find yourself with the capacity to possibly form new and bigger goals.

The Trap of the Mindset
It is always better to fail many times before succeeding as it will help you avoid many of the psychological traps. One of the key traps is to believe that you are smarter than other people, or that you do not have to work hard because you have talent, or that you have nothing to learn.

To have the right mindset to be successful in life, you do not need to have extraordinary intelligence or be gifted with talents.

"The moment you believe that success is determined by an ingrained level of ability, you will brittle in the face of adversity." - Josh W., International Chess champion.
So, as soon as you think success is determined by talent, you become weak when you have to face obstacles.

The Difference between a Fixed and Growth Mindset
So as soon as people see intelligence or abilities as fixed, they believe that many things are impossible for them to achieve because they put limits on themselves and their skills. And that is what is called a fixed mindset.

But other persons see abilities as qualities that can be developed which is, in this case, called a growth mindset. The important part is that those two different frames of mind lead to not the same behaviors and results.

When you have a growth mindset, you know you can change your intelligence, and increase your aptitudes and skills over time. But people with a fixed mindset do not think it is possible. So, the difference between the two groups is the perspective on intellect and brainpower.

The Possibility of a Different Mindset
Many studies have shown similar effects for the mindset about any ability such as problem-solving, playing sports, managing people or anything else you would like. The key to success is not merely effort, focus or resilience, but it is the growth mindset that creates them.

Your mindset is critical. When you directly are trying to build determination or persistence, it is not nearly as effective as if as addressing the mind frame that underlies these traits. How many people think of themselves as not creative people, or sociable, or math oriented, or even athletic?

On the other hand, some people may think that they are naturals. But if you want to fulfill your full potential, you need to start thinking differently. You have to realize that you not chained to your current capabilities and that you can modify your mindset.

A Mindset Can Be Changed

You should know that your brain is very malleable and has plasticity. You can change your ability to think and to perform. In fact, many of the accomplished people of our era were thought by experts to have no more future. People like Charles Darwin, Marcel Proust, and many others but they along with all high achievers such as Mozart to Einstein built their abilities.

But the vital thing here is to realize that you can change your ability and picture yourself where you want to be. When you have a growth mindset, you bring your game to new levels. So, how does a growth frame of mind do that?

Well, there are biological manifestations to mindset. Tests show that with people who have a fixed mindset, the brain becomes most active when they receive information about how they perform. Whereas people with a growth mindset, they have their mind being most active when they receive information about what they could do better next time.

The Choice of a Growth Mindset
In other words, people with a fixed frame of mind worry the most about how they are judged while those with a growth mindset focus the most on learning. There are other consequences about outlook. A fixed mind sees effort as a bad thing, something that only people with low capabilities need while those with a growth approach see effort as what makes them smart and as a way to grow.

And when they hit a setback or failure, people with a fixed mindset tend to conclude that they are incapable, so to protect their ego, they lose interest or withdraw. It is often taken as a lack of motivation, but behind it is a fixed frame of mind.

Whereas, people with a growth frame of mind believe that setbacks are a part of personal development. They find a way around the problem. So it means that you have to challenge yourself. But it also says that you have to praise yourself for being great at something or being smart; so do not also forget to honor others and even children for the same things.

Mindset Affects Everything
Trying hard pushes you to work even harder next time you face a challenge. Do not get into the fixed mindset of thinking that when you win, you are a winner and when you lose, it must make you a loser. The reason being is that your mindset affects your performance.

Remember that you can change your mindset any time you wish. And that is important because many people have a fixed mind frame about something or another. When you teach or have a growth mindset, not only it improves you as an all, but it also narrows down the achievement gap.

Mindset affects all of us. In the workplace, managers and supervisors with a fixed mindset do not accept feedback as much, and they do not mentor people. A wrong or right frame of mind even touches relationships, sports, and health.

Why do schools not teach the growth mindset to children rather than being so critical?

Tips to Have the Mindset for Success

  • Get a growth mindset.
  • Develop Success Habits.
  • Recognize that a growth mindset is beneficial.
  • Know that your brain changes when you work hard to improve yourself.
  • Make a small step toward each of your goals each day.
  • Learn how to develop your abilities as well as teaching others.
  • Capture all of the information that could help you.
  • Do a deliberate daily practice to develop your abilities through effective effort.
  • Listen to audio books or learn a new language on your phone while you are out for a walk rather than music.
  • Clip articles and inspiring ideas for a vision board.
  • Learn from your failures by asking yourself what you learned from the experience.
  • Know your strengths and weaknesses.
  • Develop core skills that will help you reach and achieve your goals.
  • After experiencing a setback, do not dwell on it. Instead, make an evaluation, and move on to the next thing.

And so, learn that to have a right mindset will allow you to succeed beyond all your expectations. You have to learn to talk back with a growth mindset voice when you listen and hear your fixed mind frame. Therefore, when you hear it say "You can't," just add another word to it which is "Yet."

Cheesy Daily Affirmations Verses Action

OK so I am all for affirmations maintaining a strong mindset and keeping us all on track but really do cheesy daily affirmations really make a difference when we put them up against action?

I am a true believer of affirmations if you cannot affirm to yourself that you are going to achieve whatever it is you are out to achieve you won't stand a chance. If you are unable to convince yourself that you deserve success how the heck are you going to convince the rest of the world. So cheesy affirmations they may be, but it should become a part of your daily routine for success.

Don't get me wrong if you are just wishing and chanting away with your cheesy daily affirmation and taking absolutely no action whatsoever, you will need all the luck in the world to succeed. Because an affirmation cheesy as it may be, without action you are simply wishing for your life to change and for things to take a turn for the better but physically doing absolutely nothing about it.

So the cheesy daily affirmation up against the proven skill of action is not so much one against the other but you mastering the best of both worlds. You will never succeed at anything without the right mindset but you will also never succeed without taking action in some form. So how to you manage the balance to create the perfect life and existence you are after.

Firstly I would find the affirmations that mean something to you. You will need to affirm what you believe to be true to you not what it is that you do not believe. A perfect example is:

I am abundant and attract success everywhere I turn in comparison to the negative of I have no money but wish I had some, see the huge difference in mindset. One has an expectation and a knowing the other is just affirming the lack and what they want whilst confirming what they don't have.

Now to combine the two, this is the trick, to take action and combine the good old cheesy daily affirmation.

Set yourself a goal of setting the goals. You should never embark on a day without knowing what you would like to accomplish in that day. Call it goals, a to do list, dream board, whatever you want to call it. It is your step by step guide to a better future, without a path to follow you will be off in the bushes chanting away with your affirmations attracting nothing but butterflies and mosquitoes.

So start your day with your affirmations, you could call this your meditation time then write out your to do list for the day. And hey presto!! You have now combined your cheesy daily affirmation with your action plan and you are now on your way to success!

To your success

Are You Looking For Permission To Leap Into Your Own Success? Here It Is!

Develop A Deliberate Success Consciousness

Many people hope for success to rescue them from their dreary lives.

They put their life on hold until success comes along and declares them worthy of it.

Whilst I'm being facetious, it is relatable because many don't realise success is something you earn through commitment, dedication and a tenacious perseverance.

Many people don't give themselves permission to be successful, because they prefer to play small, within their comfort zone.

What is stopping you from achieving the success you deserve?

Be honest with yourself.

You might say: 'It's the economy, a lack of education, fierce competition, or not having the right resources' or many other reasons.

However, I'm certain there are people in your line of work who are flourishing. Why? Because they have the right mindset to succeed, and that is the primary reason you are not as successful as you'd like to be.

"People who are successful in life have one thing in common: They all seem to be doing something different and special with their neurocircuitry to maximize their potential and achieve their goals. We believe that's what gives these people a Winner's Brain," writes authors Jeff Brown and Mark Fenske in The Winner's Brain: 8 Strategies Great Minds Use to Achieve Success.

Let me explain what I mean by the right mindset, so as not to confuse you. I am not referring to knowing the tools of the trade, since it is assumed you do.

The right mindset refers to having a success consciousness. If you consider those who are successful in your field, what is the one thing they have in common? A deliberate success consciousness that allows them to be at the top of their field. They believe in themselves and their vision for success.

Developing a success consciousness involves overcoming failures and setbacks while holding firm to a commanding vision for success. It must take place within you first to be realised externally.

Your lack of success may have it origins in the limiting beliefs you hold because you think success will change your life.

However, the limiting beliefs get in the way of awakening your greatest potential and must be examined to ascertain whether there's any truth to them.

Self-Imposed Limitations Keep You Safe

You've heard it said that beliefs create your reality and by reinforcing them, you will feel unworthy of success. Unworthiness is tied to feelings of not being good enough and have their roots in a diminished self-confidence.

To overcome these beliefs, take purposeful action and move toward success, while attending to your mental landscape. You must nurture your thoughts and be attentive to what passes through the screenshot of your mind. Otherwise, you'll succumb to disempowering thoughts related to your worthiness to attain success.

Brendon Burchard says in High Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way: "No one can quiet you without your permission. No one can minimize your self-image but you. And no one can open you up and release your full power but you."

I don't care about your background, the fact you're reading this now tells me part of you is attracted to the concept of success. Perhaps it has not manifested in your life at this point. That means little as long as you believe it is possible when you develop a success consciousness.

It requires removing the self-imposed limitations that keep you safe because playing it safe does little to assure you of the success you deserve. It keeps you trapped, stuck and stagnant, even when part of you yearns for something more.

Consequently, an internal battle ensues. I liken it to the tale of The Two Wolves And The One You Feed. Ultimately, the one you give more attention to will prevail.

If you're looking for permission to leap into your own success, look no further than this point. You are worthy of success and everything it entails, yet you must embody it at a cellular level. It must become a mind and body experience, not something you merely hold in mind.

"Often, the journey to greatness begins the moment our preferences for comfort and certainty are overruled by a greater purpose that requires challenge and contribution," explains Brendon Burchard.

When I say it must become a mind and body experience, I'm reminded of those I've crossed paths with over the years and complimented, whether for their performance or creative ability. Some people do not handle compliments well and shrug it off.

They doubt their ability and worthiness to be successful. On a conscious level, they long for success but have not reconciled it at a cellular level.

This is not an article on how to overcome your feelings of unworthiness, nor even a roadmap to break through to success, but something simpler. I'm here to grant you permission to be as successful as you can.

Success is your birthright. Don't buy into the lie that you are unworthy or any other excuses why it is missing from your life.

The single biggest decision to make is decide you want it. Decide you are worthy of it and are capable of achieving it.

"You need no permission beyond that tingling hope in your soul," affirms Brendon once more.

Decide On What You Want And Why You Want It

Stop focusing on your failures since this holds many people back. I liken it to driving from one point to another, looking in your rear vision mirror the entire trip wondering why you're not getting to your destination.

You are smart enough to realise success is impossible to achieve this way. Yet, many people wonder why they haven't achieved the success they deserve. It is because they focus on their setbacks and failures instead of seeing how they are signposts leading to success.

Jeff Brown and Mark Fenske explain: "Failure is an expected milestone on the path to success. Failing does not mean you can never succeed, it just means you don't succeed every time. When you practice anticipating and accepting failure without fear or judgment, you leave the door open for success."

If you decide you don't want to be successful, be honest with yourself - there's nothing to be ashamed of. However, if part of you has doubts about your ability to achieve it, there's a conflict that must be reconciled.

You cannot expect to drive a car in forward and reverse simultaneously. You must decide on what gear to engage until you reach your goal.

Will setbacks and challenges show up?

You bet!

In fact, they are assured to the degree you will want to give up. But they are not there to stop you but to test you. To see how much you want success and how strong your vision and purpose is to realise your dream.

"You deserve extraordinary success just as much as anyone. And you don't need anyone's permission to start living life on your own terms. You just need a plan," exclaims Brendon Burchard.

Whatever you want, declare it is possible and commit to it. Don't stand on the sidelines hoping for the best because faith is not a precursor to success. Action, diligence, perseverance, commitment and a compelling self-belief are the trademarks of success.

You must decide on what you want and why you want it and be willing to trade something to gain something greater.

It is as simple and yet as complex as that.

If you are looking for permission to leap into your own success, you've come to the right place.

I trust in the coming days, weeks and months you will realise you are worthy of success and capable of achieving it - not for what it brings to your life, but because of whom you'll become.

5 Simple Ways To Simplify Your Day

Portrait Photography of Man Holding a Child

We all are bombarded by different stimulus nowadays. If we don't do something about this situation, we're literally driving ourselves insane. Below are 5 quick tips on how to simplify your day so you regain your sanity.

#1 Get the right mindset
While you can make definite headway in a weekend, simplifying your life is going to be a process and that's okay. Get your mind in that place where it's okay to take one step each day toward your goal. A plan to simplify should be simple, right?

#2 Spend just 15 minutes
In just 15 minutes a day, you can reduce clutter, put filters on your email, make a phone call to implement an auto-payment, un-subscribe from newsletters that clog up your email or cancel a credit card you don't use. If you are feeling like you just don't have time to simplify, it's a sure sign you need to! Decide on one small task to complete each day. Set a timer for 15 minutes and see what you can accomplish.

#3 Chose one place
What room or area makes you the craziest when you walk into it? What have you been meaning to clean out and de-clutter the longest? Start there. It's taking up mental energy you can use for more important things.

Get your family or housemates involved-the common areas of your house are not going to stay de-cluttered if you are the only one maintaining them. Sit your family down and have a chat about why simplifying is so important to you and how it will benefit everyone.

#4 Keep a donate box
Once you've made that first (or second) big trip to the donation location of your choice, you will still come across stuff that you didn't notice on the first go-round. Keep a donation box in an out-of-the-way place so that you can toss things in as you find them. When the box is full, take it to your donation center.

#5 Buy one, toss one
Make a new rule for the household: when you purchase a non-consumable item and bring it into the house, you must get rid of something. For example, if you buy a new pair of shoes, either throw out your old, disgusting running shoes or place a pair that is still good, but that you don't care about keeping, in the donate box.

This rule works in two ways-it helps you maintain the minimalist lifestyle you are creating, and it cuts down on impulse shopping. You'll probably be surprised to discover that there's no pair of shoes you currently have that you are willing to part with in order to have the new, shiny pair. Problem solved.

The Three Significant Secrets to Any Success in Life

So, what is the secret to any success?

Well, if I told you that it wouldn't be a secret now, would it? The day dreamer's version of the secret to any success in life is you put your feet up, sit back, relax, let things to just happen and the success rolls in just like a dream. We've all been day dreamers sometime or the other!

But in all seriousness, I am keen to tell you my version of what the Three Significant Secrets to Any Success in Life is. And it might not be what you all want to hear or some of you might not want to hear. That is Hard Work, the Right Education, and The Journey.

That is it. So, once you sincerely start putting the hard work and you are getting the right education, the journey is going to be a combination of so many things like finding the right people to learn from, the circle of people you surround yourself with, your everyday discipline, your level of commitment to your mission and the time that you allow every day for your mission.

Once you have made those decisions, then you can start to really focus on The Secret.

The Myth:

A lot of people think to have a goal in life and to succeed means that you have to be really intelligent, smarter than the other person or always be on the edge. That is completely not true. I will tell you this, over the years some of the role models of mine who have not presented themselves as experts in anything have achieved remarkable status in life. And I have seen others, who started their journey with excitement, have put in the work, but ended giving up ultimately.

So, if there is something that I can share from my experience is, it is very typical for people to get results only if they are persistent, no matter what. In other words, what I mean is that they show up, they take consistent action and they do the hard work. Definitely, these are the people with the right mindset, just the positive one.

I think too many people stress about the wrong things in life. Life is stressful enough and I'm sure you would agree that you don't have to be stressed unnecessarily.

When people start their journey to achieve something, they go in and they face challenges or they have a bad day. So, many people blow out of proportion. And I think this is something that we see in people all the time.

I know for sure that the secret with all the successful people is that they've always pulled themselves up and made sure that they enjoyed their journey.

The Journey:

If you are unsure about how you are going to achieve what you started in the first place? You should get educated first. That's probably the hardest part. The research of picking the right approach that suits you. But once you've done that and if you've done it right? Just enjoy the journey. This is going to be one of the biggest secrets.

I think that success in anything is the journey. It's not the destination because it never ends.

As for me? I am on a journey now just like anyone else. But I am enjoying this journey more than what I ever have done, and I am realistic with myself. I've got the right mentors, I am using the right training and I made sure that I found people that I wanted to learn from to be successful in my life.

The Journey of the Humble (By Marsha Maung)

Staying Humble is Hard Work
Humility wins over pride any time of the day. This is not to say that you can't be proud of the work that you do and the awards that you've gained along the winding road of daily-grinds. You've absolutely earned it but there is a fine line between being proud and gloating. Toe it.

In my line of work, it's impossible NOT to say great things about the products, services, and packages that I write about in glossy brochures, postcard-ready Instagram posts, and attention-grabbing websites. It's advertising. From the get-go, I need to say fantastic things (if possible, not bend truth out of its confined proportions). I need to beat the beast over the head, win people over and get them to part with their hard-earned money. There are no other ways around this... I've checked.

But that's work.

In your personal pursuits and the way you communicate with others, whether at functions, meetings or on the train, it is a better idea to be a little bit of a humble brag. People hate humble brags and it takes practice not to be an annoying one, but a few mistakes is going to polish you.

At the end of the day, the purpose of it all is to remind yourself that...

Pride speaks, Don't let Success Get to your Head
It's not about pride or being proud, it's about having the right mindset. A mindset of being able to hit the ground running no matter the situation, the ability to see things from a beginner's point of view, and the willingness to learn from the rook-iest of people, says a lot of about how far you're going to make it into the game.

Imagine if you wake up every day with a scoreboard that reads 0-0. You've won nothing. You're starting over every morning. Despite everything that you've done in the past, all your achievements, you're starting from ground zero again. It makes you yearn for success because a relentless person is the most resourceful and productive one.

Despite having worked in the industry for well over 17 years, there are better writers, better analysts, newer ideas, more successful people, and more innovative technologies. I've said it before and I'll say it again: no one is ever THE best. There is no such thing.

Growing Requires Listening and Learning
You'll be surprised at how much you'll grow and the number of new things people thrust into your arms when you're willing. Every year, we have a new American Idol, a new Miss Universe and a new winner for UK's Got Talent. If every single one of the winners, awards in hand, refuse to grow with times because they've 'made it', the journey will come to a head.

But if you listen in order to learn, you'll go a long way... and you'll never stop being hip! Well, maybe 'relevant' was the word I was looking for.

"By limiting our expansion, we soon become stagnant. While resting on our laurels, we then get surpassed by those who are hungry and willing to work - BeWellHub.com
Humility and hard work is an astounding combination. Do you agree?

A Simple Way to Be More Productive

Ever wonder why most people seem to be flying right along in life and they seem to have it all together. Did you ever think, "What are those people doing that I'm not doing?" "I wonder what their schedule is like?" or "How do they find time to do blank ?" Do you wish you can be like them? Well here's the secret. You can be. It just takes a little bit of effort and a lot of patience and the right mindset. Yes, that's all. But you know life is rarely that simple right? What if I tell you there's an easier way to get busy and it's called getting into "the zone".

People talk about getting into the zone but what do they mean by this? For me, getting into the zone means I'm in complete focus and my mind and my actions are becoming fluid and the task I set out to accomplish becomes easier and effortless. This is the zone. When you can do no wrong and all your actions seem to be falling into place. When you're in this mental state, it seems like you are in complete command of your destiny and time is not a factor. Once I'm in this state, I actually lose myself in the moment whether it's writing a book or playing a good game of basketball.

Here lies the secret to productivity: You always want to be in the zone. Why you ask? Isn't it obvious? Time literally flies by when you're in the zone. Instead of asking yourself, 'Where did the time go by?' When you're in the zone you'll be asking instead,' what no more? That was easier than I thought!' As if you have the ability to stop time in its tracks instead of you stopping on your own tracks to success.

How do you get into this magical zone? Good question. My answer is, it really depends on you. I can't tell you how to get into your zone but I can share my experience that might just give you a hint. When I want to get into the zone all I have to do is eliminate all distractions, get into a good mood, and focus on the task at hand. That's it. No magic formula or secret or whatever you want to call it. Just get into the mental habit of working; this is the secret to producing fine works.

Live, learn and enjoy

How Successful People Think - Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude

Have you dreamed of becoming a successful entrepreneur, but don't know where to start?

You are not alone, there are millions of people who want to become successful entrepreneurs, but lack the necessary support. We are going to look at what steps you need to take in order to become a successful entrepreneur.

There is a tremendous amount of inaccurate information circulating that claim "you need to have money to make money" or "it is who you know not what you know". Granted having money and connections can help if you don't have the right mindset then all of the money in the world won't make you a success but if you follow the same habits that other successful entrepreneurs use then your chances of attaining success will grow exponentially.

Here are the three top secrets that work for me.

Everyone Can Be An Entrepreneur, Yes Everyone Including You!

Entrepreneurs are not born they are made and if you are reading this then you have the ability to become an entrepreneur because you have exhibited one of the best qualities an entrepreneur can have and that is a healthy curiosity. Successful business people are never content with the status quo, they are constantly looking for ways to do things better and that is what you are looking for as well, a faster way to achieve success!

We are going to look at what qualities a successful business leader has, some of these qualities you currently have and do not realize it. We will also look at what are some of the qualities that can hinder your success. Everyone has to start somewhere and today is the first day in the rest of your life so let's make it a great day!

The Power of Discovering Thinking Big

There is an adage, "If you can dream it you can achieve it" and this is one quality that all entrepreneurs have. Granted some of them are bigger dreamers than others, but they all share that common quality of envisioning themselves becoming very successful and then taking proactive steps towards that goal.

Sit down and make a list of all your goals no matter how farfetched they may seem in your mind. You are going to be amazed by how many goals you actually have.

After you have established what your goals are you need to come up with action items that can be implemented right away. These "action items" are things you can do right now that will bring you one step closer towards your goal of achieving success, no matter how small that step may be it is one more than you had yesterday. By having these milestones and working towards them you are more likely to attain your big goals.

To use an analogy, imagine you had to eat an elephant. How would you go about it? An elephant is a big animal weighing tons and nearly 7 meters high in some cases so it would be a big challenge to eat it in one meal. The only way to eat that elephant is one small piece at a time. This elephant is like your big dreams, you cannot do it all at one time but you can break it down into smaller segments which are easier to handle. By taking this gradual approach you will surely reach your goals no matter how lofty they may seem.

Most successful entrepreneurs keep a journal of each and every milestone they have attained and reward themselves for these successes. With each milestone that you reach you are getting closer to your goal that not so long ago you thought was "too big!"

Something that is vital is to never doubt your capability; most would be entrepreneurs fail not because they weren't capable. These individuals failed because they never bother to try, you are guaranteed to fail if you never make an attempt so with that mindset you really need to believe in yourself, other individuals just like you have attained success by sheer will and hard work so don't sell yourself short, be certain and take action.

Positive Thoughts and Affirmations

We have touched on the importance of setting big goals however we haven't looked at the role that positive thinking and affirmations have on our results. The human mind is a truly remarkable thing.

Whatever we envision and strive towards we can achieve. If a person tells themselves that making money is hard, only rich people can start their own business, I am not smart enough to run a business, these thoughts become reality and that person will find it very hard to start off in business or earn more money than what they are currently getting.

These positive thoughts will help you stay motivated even when you are facing challenges, and you will face challenges that are just the nature of life. To give you an example, a positive person will see an obstacle as a challenge while a negative person will see a "problem". The difference in thinking will have an impact on results. The good news is a negative mindset can be corrected by following a few of these exercises.

First look at other successful people who you consider heroes or role models, what do they do each and every day? They set a goal or series of goals and once that goal has been realized they reward themselves accordingly.

Once you start seeing yourself able to achieve these daily goals you will migrate away from the negative mindset into a more positive one. Start right now by taking responsibility for your own thoughts instead of saying "I hope" or "hopefully" try using "I will" or "I am" by using these possessive terms you are taking responsibility for your thoughts and that is a very empowering feeling.

We all want to be successful and once you start connecting your thoughts with results you can't help but want to be positive.

... let's focus on developing your positive attributes and achieve success together.

Success follows when we have a positive mental attitude.

Most Know What It Takes To Be a Success, But Just Won't Do It

I've been contacted by many, many people over the years. Most ask me to tell them the one thing they need to do or need to think about in order to become successful. Now I don't specifically know what's gotten into these people. Each January I can understand that maybe it's the annual New Year's resolution thing rearing its head, but the rest of the year it baffles me.

The fact is that there isn't one single magic bullet that will turn someone who doesn't really earn much from their efforts and then transform them into someone who is a prolific money-making success. The reality is there are a number of things that have to work together in a synergistic way that will help tremendously in getting on the royal road to prosperity and success.

Of course, we've all heard about the necessary success components needed to make it all happen: having the right mindset, dreaming big, mixing and associating with the right people, learning and studying, taking action, being persistent, focus, concentration, immunity to criticism, all of that, and much, much more. Now the thing is, we all already know all of that; we know what it takes to become successful and financially well-off, so there really isn't a missing piece of the puzzle. And frankly, I know some people are really disappointed when I say to them that:

"You know in your heart-of-hearts what it takes to become successful; you're just unwilling to do what you know."

You see, most people I meet feel that there's something out there that's being hidden from them, that somehow everybody else knows about this hidden secret to wealth and prosperity and it's been kept from them. Sadly, most people will still continue to believe this myth for years and years and still hunt out this missing piece.

Let me give you a few examples of what I'm talking about here:

A number of friends have told me they've wanted to get much fitter and healthier for a long time now, but they just can't seem to get to the levels of fitness they want. Now however we look at this, there isn't anything missing here, is there? I mean, there are different exercise programmes and various exercise equipment and apparatus one can use at home. There are gyms, personal trainers, fitness coaches, DVDs, nutrition plans and programmes, you name it - there's nothing secret about it. There isn't any missing information here.

In a similar way, there are people who honestly believe that they're missing a huge piece of information when it comes to making a really good online living. They honestly believe that someone is hoarding a valuable hidden piece that's part of the online money-making equation.

The fact is, there are hundreds, if not thousands of people making tremendous online fortunes. And, most likely each and every single one of them have documented exactly how they've done it from start to finish - whether they've shown it via eBooks, seminars, DVDs, personal coaching or mentoring, training packages, whatever. There are no secrets! Their formulas are all laid out in the open.

Amazingly, many have asked me if there is something more to it than what I teach via my information products, seminars, workshops, membership site, etc. Again, they honestly think I'm holding something back and that they've not got the full story, that there's a golden nugget, a silver bullet I'm keeping all to myself.

The truth is I've given up trying to convince those deeply stubborn and disbelieving people who refuse to act on the message that they have all they need to know about being successful in anything they choose to be. Trying to influence and educate someone who isn't open to possibilities, who isn't coachable, who doesn't want to change the very nature of their own thoughts about things: all of that is a thankless and fruitless exercise.

Nothing comes out of it except an inordinate waste of life's number one resource - time.

If after reading this you have realised that you've not been fully honest, that you've not been playing full-out, that you've not got where you've said you've wanted to get to, whether in your business or personal life, then the refreshing news is that you have all you need to make a marvellous success of anything you want to.

Simply get committed to act on what you already know and you'll truly surprise yourself at the results that begin showing up in your life. That, I can promise you.

5 Thinking Ways That Separate Successful People From Ordinary People

When we talk about being successful, everyone wants to be part of it. No one wants to live a mediocre life, but most people are not doing what it takes to be successful.

In this article, you will discover the 5 thinking ways that separates successful people from the ordinary. You will learn the secrets how to think like every successful person did and how to reach the same results in your life.

We all know that to live a great life requires hard work and time. Rome was not built in a day and it was not accomplished without effort. The journey may not be easy, but if you have the right thinking and the right mindset, you will be able to produce the same amazing result like others.

Here are the 5 thinking ways that you need to adopt right now...

1. Successful people always think possible

When it comes to achieving great success in life, successful people always have the "can do" attitude and they always think possible.

They believe in their own ability and they do it anyway. They believe that it is possible for them to achieve their dreams and to reach their goals. This is why they are willing to work harder because they can see that it is possible.

They believe in themselves and they believe in their dreams. Sometimes you can't say that you can achieve it, but you can always say that it is possible.

When there is a possibility, you will have a chance and you can work on it to make it happen. Thus, believe that your dream is possible.

2. Successful people always think action

Successful people are always on the move and they take massive action. Not only that, they are consistent with their effort. They take action day in and day out. They work on their dreams every day, from day to night.

Most people want to be successful but they are not willing to take what it takes. The action is the bridge that connects your dreams and your reality. Without action, you cannot reach what you want in life.

So commit to taking action and make it your habit to be proactive. Start to make things happen and be the first one to act.

3. Successful people will never give up

The word "give up" does not seem to be in the minds of successful people. Walt Disney got fired as a newspaper editor but he never gave up and continued to work on his dreams.

Howard Schultz, the one who started Starbucks got rejected by banks after banks, but he never quit and continued to pursue his dream. This is why Starbucks are everywhere today.

Successful people will never quit and they will never give up on their dreams. You have to be the same. Make it part of your thinking to never give up.

4. Successful people always think positive

They expect good things to happen and they always think positively. Let me ask you this. If you know the market is not good and your product does not perform, will you still go ahead and put everything to launch your product?

The answer is a no. However, when you look at people who have accomplished great result such as Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Michael Dell, etc, they are willing to pour all their efforts into their businesses.

The reason is simple, they believe in their products and they expect good things. They expect that the market is good and their products can sell. This is why they pour in millions of dollars into their businesses.

Always think positively and always expect good things to happen.

5. Successful people always think about their dreams

Brian Tracy said that you will become who you think about most of the time. And this is true.

So what do you think about most of the time? Do you think about what to eat, where to go and what to do tonight?

Or do you think about your dreams and your goals most of the time? Your thoughts will shape your life. If you think about your dreams and how to accomplish them most of the time, you will align your action with your thoughts and take massive action.

This is why you have to think empowering thoughts that will lead you where you want to go in life.

Conclusion

Now you know what successful people think that make them successful. Are you adopting these 5 thinking? Commit and make these 5 thoughts your primary mindset.

Live a Life by Design

I see it all too often; do this job or do that job, become this become that because it will give you a good living. A good living? To me good means OK, average, expected, and mediocre. That doesn't sound too inspiring does it? So why do we continue to live mediocre lives? Is that what society in America has come to? Oh get a job that you can put up with and give you a comfortable living. That is not the American Dream, it sure as hell is not my dream, and I would be willing to bet it's not your dream either.

In life we all want to accomplish great and magnificent things. How do we achieve great things with a mediocre lifestyle? You can't. To achieve greatness you must be great at what you do and with who you are.

To live a life by design you must develop the right mindset, the right mental frameworks. You will have to retool your skill-set. Perhaps most of all you will have to take a long hard look at the world around, and ask yourself, "am I moving in the same direction as everyone else?" Chances are you're in the exact same line, on the exact same road as everyone around you. To live a life by design you must break free from the pack, take the exit on the road you're on, stop and turn around, whatever analogy you choose to use for "I can no longer do what everyone else is doing."

So how do you start building a life by design, and more importantly start living it? I know from experience it's hard, and takes time. But when put in perspective it takes a hell of a lot less time than working 20 plus years to create a living. To create a life by design it will take anywhere from 3 to 10 years, it all depends on how ambitious you are. I know your thinking that is still a good chunk of time, why can't it be done sooner. The answer is, you will have to deconstruct what you have been led to believe, and then build a whole new foundation, and framework to support your new design for life, and that takes time. You will also have to develop a new process for your approach to your end result, and be consistent in its follow through.

What worked for me, and this is my experience, yours will most likely be different, was I started listening to motivational speakers to get me in the right state of mind. I then started listening to audio books of successful people or people who have what I want. I then turned to personal development speakers, and books, from there I read inspirational, non-fiction, firsthand account stories where the main character overcame extreme adversity, and lived to tell about it. I have always believed that if another person can do something, I can too, so I would model these people. I would take the best characteristics from those I look up to and I would do my best to make them a part of me.

Now if you are not someone who learns from hearing something, then you will need to read a lot of books. Me I am an audio visual learner, it is hard for me to comprehend books, so I turn to audio. I do practice my reading comprehension, it is difficult but I know it is an extremely valuable skill to have. That statement leads me to this; never stop developing who you are, you can always better your best. Never be satisfied with where you are, because to be satisfied is to be complacent, and complacency means you have stopped growing. Never stop growing, never stop developing, and never stop believing in yourself and what you can accomplish. That is what it means to live a life by design!

Be bold, and be brave.

John C. Maxwell: The If Factor

From boll weevils to market collapses, your resolve can overcome any adversity.

Once there was a young woman who complained to her father about her life and how hard things were for her. Adversity was overwhelming her, and she wanted to give up.
As he listened, her father filled three pots with water and brought them to a boil. Into the first he put carrots, into the second he put eggs, and into the third he put ground coffee beans. He let them simmer and cool, then asked her to feel the now-squishy carrots and examine the hardened eggs. Then he told her to taste the rich drink made from coffee beans and plain water.
“When you face adversity, how do you respond?” he asked. “Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?”
Life is filled with adversity. We can be squashed by it. We can allow it to make us hard. Or we can make the best of it. I detail these outcomes in my latest book, Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn, from which this lesson is adapted.
We generally can’t choose our hardships, but we can choose how we respond to them. If we respond positively to difficulties, the outcome potentially will be positive. If we respond negatively to our difficulties, the outcome probably will be negative. That’s why I call our response “The If Factor.” Here’s what I mean:
1. Adversity introduces us to ourselves, if we want to know ourselves.
If we are courageous, difficult times can create an opportunity for self-examination and self-discovery. Unfortunately, many people choose to hide. They build walls, close their eyes, run away, medicate themselves and find other ways of escaping reality. If that is your response to adversity, you will never understand the situation or  yourself.
I love a story speaker Tony Robbins tells about two victims of chance—one who wins the lottery and another who is paralyzed in an accident. Three years later, why is the paralyzed person the happier of the two? The lottery winner had looked outside himself to make changes in his life. The paralyzed person, in contrast, is introduced to his potential self through adversity. He rises to challenges he never knew he could face. And he comes to appreciate the good things in his life as he never did before.
2. Adversity is a better teacher than success, if we want to learn from it.
You’ve probably heard the saying, “When the pupil is ready, the teacher will come.” That’s not necessarily true. With adversity, the teacher will come whether the pupil is ready or not.
Philosopher and author Emmet Fox said, “It is the law that any difficulties that can come to you at any time, no matter what they are, must be exactly what you need most at the moment, to enable you to take the next step forward by overcoming them. The only real misfortune, the only real tragedy, comes when we suffer without learning the lesson.”
It requires the right mindset and a deliberate intention to find the lesson in a loss. If we don’t embrace those things, all we end up with are the scars.
3. Adversity opens doors for new opportunities, if we want to learn from it.
“Most of us are taught, beginning in kindergarten, that mistakes are bad,” noted Kim Kiyosaki, co-founder of the Rich Dad Co. “How often did you hear, ‘Don’t make a mistake!’ In reality, the way we learn is by making mistakes. A mistake simply shows you something you didn’t know.”
One of my favorite examples of this comes from a legend dating to the 1870s. As the story goes, a worker at Procter & Gamble forgot to turn off a machine that was mixing soap. He packaged the “ruined” soap anyway, and hoped for the best. The company was soon flooded with letters asking for more soap bars that floated. A manufacturing mistake led to an opportunity, the creation of Ivory soap. Learn to take advantage of the opportunities adversity presents.
4. Adversity can signal a coming positive transition, if we respond correctly.
In 1915 the people of Coffee County, Ala., were devastated after boll weevils destroyed their cotton crop—their economic lifeblood. What would they do?
Grow peanuts, suggested scientist George Washington Carver, who also found that the versatile legume could be used to make soap, ink, plastics and cosmetics, opening the local economy to a brighter future. Carver viewed the crop failure not as a disaster but as an opportunity for transition. Like Carver, we can use adversity as a catalyst for change.
5. Adversity brings profit as well as pain, if we expect it and plan for it.
In the movie Black Hawk Down, a vehicle filled with wounded American soldiers lurches to a stop amid a hail of Somali bullets. An officer orders a soldier to get in and drive.
“But I’m shot, colonel,” says the soldier.
“Everybody’s shot,” responds the officer. “Get in and drive!”
We should all expect pain. But I think what distinguishes successful people is that they plan for it, and by doing so, benefit from it. I once heard FedEx founder Fred Smith recount an interview between Olympic gold medalist pole-vaulter Bob Richards and some younger Olympians. Richards asked, “What did you do when you began to hurt?” None of these athletes were surprised by the question. They expected pain and had a strategy for dealing with it. As Richards summarized, “You never win the gold without hurting.”
6. Adversity writes our story, and if our response is right, the story will be good.
Consider the tales of golfers Jack Nicklaus and Tony Jacklin. Nicklaus narrowly lost the U.S. Open in 1982, and pundits thought the legend was too old to win another major tournament, but he went on to a victory in The Masters four years later, at age 46.
Contrast that with Jacklin, who melted under pressure near the end of the 1972 British Open. “I had the heart ripped out of me,” Jacklin later said. “I was never the same.”
What story will you write? Adversity without triumph is not inspiring; it’s depressing. Adversity without growth is not encouraging; it’s discouraging. Adversity can create a story of hope and success. I hope that is the tale you write.
