Making Room for the New - Creating a Vacuum Is the Number One Rule in the Universe

Green Wooden Chair on White Surface

Recently, a friend of mine said, I have learned "you have got to get rid of the old in order to make room for the new." If we all realized just how poignantly true this statement is, we could easily and effortlessly claim our good.

Creating a vacuum is the number one rule in the universe. Often, we cling to old, worn-out things because we are afraid to embrace the new and often unknown. Creating a vacuum applies to all areas of our lives. This has to be done frequently throughout our life. First, start with areas that seem insignificant. Clean out your car, your desk drawers, your closets and all the physical crooks and crannies in your surroundings. Don't forget the trunk of your car as well as your wallets and handbags. After you have thoroughly cleaned out these areas donate, throw away, or give away the items that no longer suit you. There are a few guidelines to remember. Anything that makes you: a) feel poor or unworthy, b) has not been used in a year, c) will never be used again, d) makes you feel sad, must be discarded. The emotional attachment, as well as any financial concerns regarding these items, must be released and forgotten. Starting with these areas will result in some immediate improvements in your life. Be honest with yourself. If you feel at all anxious during this process, here is a prayer that may help:

I freely and fully release all worn-out things, conditions, and people who are no longer for my highest good. I freely and fully release them to their highest good and my highest good comes to me with speed, ease, and wisdom.

For some, this will be an easy process, however, for many, it will not be. Just remind yourself that nature abhors a vacuum and is busy creating the appropriate items to replace the ones that no longer suit you. Now the real work begins.

You will also have to take the next step if you are seeking permanent change. You must decide to concentrate on "healing" you. This means you will have to take a break from "fixing" the people around you. Letting others be is a difficult task, but somehow I think they will survive.

You begin this tedious process by discarding relationships, not for your highest good; releasing past hurts and feelings; severing emotional attachments to old lovers; forgiving painful events in the past and casting off old ideas.

All these things, as well as possessions that have outlived their usefulness, block the flow of good in the universe. Dwelling on past events of your life will guarantee that you will continue to relive these experiences. Old feelings and hurts will be cast into all new relationships, causing them to end in the same way. When relationships end, remember the heart is not broken. This is only a signal that it is time to continue your journey on another level. Carry with you only the good, the love you shared. Allow all else to fade into nothingness, for that is truly what it is.

If you are having difficulty determining if your current relationships are toxic, ask yourself if the relationships are abusive in anyway, i.e., physically, emotionally or financially. If the answer is yes, then you have some arduous decisions to make. When we become entangled in toxic relationships (personal, physical, family or professional), our growth is stunted. We try to heal the others, forgetting that the only person we can truly heal is our self. By becoming fully committed to our healing, we will be able to let go of these relationships. Once you have freed yourself, you can begin to grow and your life will be bombarded with miracles. I will not promise this will be easy. Because this is a very difficult step, it will be one of the most rewarding.

Spirit has promised to not fail or forsake us. This applies to all areas of our lives. After you have completed the task and created a vacuum, Spirit will rush in and fill the empty places with wonderful people and delightful things. So do not panic if it looks like you are all alone and do not have a thing to wear.

Remember, life is too short to drink cheap champagne. Dream Big! Live the life you have imagined.

Message From the Universe: Controlling Your OWN Destiny!

"Don't you think it should work like this?

You have a desire, you dwell upon it, move with it, and presto, it manifests.

You fall in love at the right time, with the right person, they fall in love, the timing is perfect, and bingo, the earth moves.

You have a huge question, you turn it over to me, forget about it, and ta-da, you just know.

Me too. Which actually, is exactly how it works, in the absence of fear.

Cool, huh?
The Universe"

Look at the Universe like a department store's online catalog. You are comfortably laying in your couch, browsing through the thousand of products, and you find exactly what you were looking for. You jump on your laptop, with credit card in your hands, click on Purchase now button and you get a clear confirmation that the order is processed and ready to be shipped. So what do you do in the meantime? You are excited about your new purchase and can't wait for the post office to deliver it to you. Now, do you GO back online and RE-ORDER the same exact product in the fear that the store haven't taken care of your purchase? Do you call them 5 minutes after your online confirmation to make sure your credit card has been charged or you are confident enough that the item will be shipped and arrive safely to destination? I guess it's the latter right? This is exactly how it should work when you put up your thoughts to the Universe and let the Universe process your order and allow manifestation of these thoughts.

Time is in your favor when it comes to allowing great things happening. Success doesn't happen overnight, and it takes time and energy and hard work to reach the summit of your career. During that journey, you will F.A.I.L (First Attempt In Learning) and will recover from this failure no matter what it takes because you can do that. We adapt to our environment and can move on towards bigger and better things. We need to control our own fears and not allow it to control us. It is important to always be ready to accept whatever comes our way and learn to change things around so we can focus on what is ahead. This is YOUR life and you have every right to decide the path you want to take. Never allow anyone to take control of your destiny, because NO one deserves that power, except yourself.

Is Regret a Proactive Feeling?

Regret is not a proactive feeling. It is situated in disappointment, sorrow, even remorse. However, repentance is different. When you have expectations, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. But sometimes disappointment makes you stronger. It becomes a motivation to write the next book. There's always failure. And there's always disappointment. And there's always loss.

Disappointment is inevitable. But to become discouraged, there's a choice I make. Depression begins with disappointment. When disappointment festers in our soul, it leads to discouragement. No one else can go to the buffet line for you, you won't get what you want if you let anyone or anything else select the main course of your life.

Take the time. The answer is proactive living. It has been something that I believe many people hold within themselves and it hurts like hell. It's a double-edged sword. I had regrets, though. I had not taken care of myself. I had not been responsible for myself.

Preservation is very interesting. It is the best and worst. Setting the goal to change is one thing. I believe that paying the closest attention to the harmony of what our core is telling us to do is where the bedrock of success in anything is nurtured.

We can all be very powerful if we choose to be. Take the time and realize that the answer is proactive living. Right now this is the only life you have. Commit yourself to the process of finding and following your dreams, wants and desires.Make a list of all the moments in your life where you felt proactive.

Alternatively, if you felt proactive when you first used a computer, was it doing something new, achieving a goal or actually working with technology that made you feel proactive.Keep a journal for a week and notice when you are feeling the most proactive.

Look for the lessons on how to handle or overcome regret. What did you learn about yourself? What did you learn about someone else? What patterns do you see? What are you noticing about your reactions and responses? All situations in life are rich with learning.

Rewinding time is not possible but "do-over's" actually are. Of course we cannot get a do-over of the exact same situation, but the universe will deliver to you similar situations where you can learn. The first time it happened you didn't know any better.

Take action. Is there support you need? Is there a conversation you need to have? Regret is a reactive response. Reactive responses keep you stuck; proactive responses move you forward. You want to move forward, don't you? So, forgive yourself! This is the most important and the most challenging part. We all make so-called mistakes. Remember, you are a human being so stop placing an expectation on yourself that you are supposed to get it right all of the time!

Remember that you did the best you could. Breathe. Take it in. You do not have to suffer from regret. You can stop beating yourself up; it is not serving you. Learn, take action, forgive and stop looking behind you. TURN AROUND. See what is right in front of you... and, better yet, what lies ahead.

This is about living without regrets no matter what our situation in life is.

When It Seems Your Life's Falling Apart, It's Coming Together

The Master was in a mellow mood and the disciples were inquisitive.

"Did he ever feel depressed," they asked.

"He did."

"Wasn't it also true he was in a continual state of happiness?" they persisted.

"It was."

"What was the secret?" they wanted to know.

Said the Master, "This: everything is as good or as bad as one's opinion makes it."

The meaning we attribute to events impacts us more than we realise. When it seems your life is falling apart, your outlook dictates your response.

The tale by Anthony De Mello underscores the message espoused by Shakespeare, "There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so."

For circumstances to unfold, they must first fall apart to rebuild a stronger foundation. When a person hits rock bottom, the only place to go is up. This can be enriching, since it reaffirms that the human spirit cannot be crushed, despite inhospitable conditions.

We must make room for the new in our lives, by letting go of that which no longer serves us. If your beliefs are outdated, release them instead of holding on.

While it may appear your life is falling apart, it's laying the framework for rebuilding exactly as it should.

"When everything falls apart and we feel uncertainty, disappointment, shock, embarrassment, what's left is a mind that is clear, unbiased, and fresh," states Pema Chodron.

Consider a renovated house. If you were to evaluate the overall design while being demolished, you might assume it isn't coming together as planned. Yet, if you consulted with the architects and interior designers, you see wonderful plans for the home's refurbishment that looks perfect once the project is complete.

So with your life's journey.

To presume life is falling apart based on your perception, is to focus on one part of the process.

Life is neither fair nor unfair, according to your assessment. There's an energy system permeating throughout life. What needs to take place will do so irrespective of your resistance.

To wish away an unpleasant experience only intensifies your response.

When you experience anguish, pick yourself up and continue on your journey.

Vulnerability is part of the human condition. For in the howling wasteland of despair, we unearth our resiliency once the storm has settled.

Psychotherapist and author David Richo affirms, "No matter how dark or destructive things become, we are aware of a healing energy ever afoot that indefatigably renews and rebuilds what falls apart. Something keeps putting it - and us - all back together. This is why it is all right to fall apart."

The universe is in your corner urging you to prevail, realising your current circumstances are transitional.

Take note of the messages that appear during the darkest hours. They are glimpses of the light heralding you towards Truth.

Your greatest breakthroughs will often arrive during moments of hopelessness. Whilst it doesn't appear that way, once the dust has settled you will see something greater emerge.

Humans are uncomfortable with change because it threatens their survival. This is natural and we should embrace this instead of escape the pain.

"So the next time you encounter fear, consider yourself lucky. This is where the courage comes in. Usually we think that brave people have no fear. The truth is that they are intimate with fear," reaffirms Pema Chodron.

So, we ask ourselves what we need to let go of to proceed down the new path.

To reason with your current state keeps you paralysed in your circumstances and slows the progress of where you're meant to be.

There's a purpose to life, irrespective of your resistance. Whilst it makes little sense in the midst of chaos if we suspend judgement, the complete picture will emerge.

A major breakdown can open doors to several breakthroughs if we're willing to lean into the discomfort.

Don't look for an end to your situation, experience what arises despite how emotionally charged it is. To drive away pain defers it, to remerge with greater intensity at a later period.

It was Winston Churchill who said, "If you're going through hell, keep going."

Nothing lasts for ever, even anguish recedes to give way to a new day once time has passed and our wounds have healed.

I enjoy this message from motivational speaker John C. Maxwell in his book, The Difference Maker: Making Your Attitude Your Greatest Asset, "I've found that there are really only two kinds of people in this world when it comes to dealing with discouragement: splatters and bouncers. When splatters hit rock bottom, they fall apart, and they stick to the bottom like glue. On the other hand, when bouncers hit bottom, they pull together and bounce back."

We are strange creatures. We thrive in ideal conditions and struggle through chaos.

Underneath the pain is the knowledge we are: resilient, adaptable and capable of surviving.

One need only look to the Holocaust survivors in Nazi Germany, to see what they endured during the war. Similarly, refugees fleeing their country for fear of persecution live in a constant state of chaos and survive to raise families. This is testament the human will is adaptable in most conditions.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

The challenge when life falls apart is the hopelessness that consumes us. We might believe we are the masters of our fate, so when the rug is pulled out from under us, it threatens our stability.

However, this is a powerful revelation because when everything is taken away, life steps in to transport us to our next journey.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. reminds us "Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."

So when it seems your life is falling apart, look to the future. For in the ruins of the past is a signpost pointing you to something wonderful.

Accept your current conditions and stop resisting the flow of life.

We can be hard on ourselves, believing we contributed to life falling apart. Whilst you're a co-creator in the experience, it is essential for your personal evolution and had to take place as it did.

It is with this knowledge we delight in the words of the Master, who calls us to be attentive that everything is as good or bad as one's opinion.

So we suspend believing our life is falling apart and trust it is coming together better than we imagined.

The Law of Attraction and How It Really Works

There have been many books written about the Law of Attraction; however, none of those books gave you the total formula needed to effectively activate the Law of Attraction in yourself as well as in the Universe. There is way more to the Law of Attraction than feeling gratitude. Yes, gratitude plays a big part in attracting good to you, but there are other facets within yourself that must be conquered before you can even begin to think about attracting anything and keeping what you have attracted for that matter.

There are many Universal Laws and all those laws work together in governing man. Universal Laws are not worldly laws, as worldly laws are made by man and actually have man-made names. Universal Laws came from what is, was and will always be perfect since the foundation of the earth; and they really have no names. How can man give names to what is invisible? Universal Laws existed before you were even a thought in the Creator's Mind. They just exist. They are nameless; however, in order for man to understand what was invisibly governing and judging their every move, man had to place names and titles on everything.

When you violate one Universal Law, this means that you violate them all, just as there is no sin greater than another sin. Your emotional and mental state of being is the Law of Attraction in action. If you are feeling negative feelings in any form whatsoever, you can't ask for anything good from the Universe. The Law of Attraction doesn't work that way. Universal Laws work within the purity of mind, soul and spirit. If these three things aren't developed spiritually or whatever you wish to call your "inner self," there is no way, shape, form or fashion that you will be able to utilize the Law of Attraction. Your inner self must be spiritually in tune with All That Is, in order for you to receive the matters of your desires. It is as simple as that. You can continue reading all of those books out there leading you astray, all while you are continuously wondering why the Law of Attraction isn't working for you. This is the harsh reality of deception and those that continue to deceive you on such a grand scale.

You can't get something for nothing in this world or the next. If you want the Law of Attraction to work for you, you will have to sacrifice some things and maybe get rid of some people in your life. You ask the Universe for things that are more than likely material and not spiritual, and you expect to keep what you have already while waiting on the Universe to send you more. Nope! You must make space in your life for the new things that you have asked the Universe for and get rid of the old things. If there are people in your life that have caused you to remain stagnant and you keep them around anyway, don't expect the Universe to send you a blessing of some sort in the form of new friends or a new spouse when you haven't gotten rid of the old friends and old spouse. This is the harsh reality of the Law of Attraction. You have to act first, if you wish the Law of Attraction to work for you.

Despite what you have been told or read in books regarding the Law of Attraction and how the Universe just gives you whatever your mind holds for a certain amount of time, it's not really true. The Law of Attraction is not a "your wish is my command" sort of thing. People have gotten rich off of deceiving you with their books. The Universe does NOT answer just anyone who prays and ask. What you call the Universe is also God, The All, The Self-Created One, The Light, The Most High, The Inconceivable One and many other names; and IT does not just answer all who calls on IT. The Universe is perfect period! And all those whom call upon The Universe must also be perfect in spirit, mind and soul; as this is the only way you can receive anything from THE ONE whom the Law of Attraction came into existence from in the first place. No one on this earth has ever utilized what they so deceitfully call the "Law of Attraction." If so, that would mean that they have literally seen THE FATHER'S face and actually still lived.

3 Signs Your Relationships Are Making You Anxious & Unhappy

while everyone is working toward changing their lifestyle, there is often a critical component missing from their regime — cultivating healthy relationships!
Often, we are so consumed with outer appearance, eating habits and behavioral patterns like sleep and going to the gym, that we neglect to consider our relationships as potential candidates for resolution. Year after year, we dedicate ourselves to losing weight, traveling more, giving up smoking, and so on. But how many of us have made declarations to leave unhealthy relationships, in search of ones that foster growth and development?
As a long time anxiety sufferer, I deeply understand the importance of maintaining healthy relationships — and the detriment of maintaining relationships that are toxic. But over the last few years, I've endured a series of unforeseen events. I was psychologically and socially crippled by an anxiety and panic disorder, survived an accidental drug overdose and battled a drug addiction that nearly cost me my life.
When I was at my lowest point, I felt the most alone. No one knew exactly what I was going through or how to help. I had to rely on my own merit and determination, until God and the universe revealed mentors for me to learn from.
Throughout my journey to health and healing, I've learned that our relationships ultimately become extensions of who we are. We are often influenced by the five (or more, or fewer) closest people in our lives. As a result, our relationships become an essential component in attaining absolute happiness, overcoming anxiety, depression and maintaining great mental health.

I had to come to understand that if I was going to overcome my
demons I needed to make some life altering changes and that included re-evaluating the people I kept around me.
Based on my experiences, I've concluded three main ideas to consider when determining whether or not your relationship is keeping you anxious and unhappy.
1. Your friends are doing the things you're working to filter out of your life.
There is a saying: "You can't fight to stay the same and be dedicated to becoming better." In other words, you have to choose one or the other. When I dedicated myself to changing my life, I knew that I couldn't continue to engage in the same activities and expect things to be different.
I swapped traditional bars for juice bars, putting down the shots of cognac for shots of wheatgrass. Meditation became my medication and I traded late night partying for early morning yoga.
I knew that I was unable to change the people around me, therefore I had to change the people I was around. This led to the organic development of relationships with like minded individuals.
Walking away from the relationships that stagnate your progress will enable you to connect with people who share common interests. They will keep you motivated, inspired, and will assist you in facilitating your goals, not only for the new year, but for your new life.
2. Your friends are putting down your changes (instead of celebrating them).
There are two words we never want to hear from our friends: "You've changed." It can make us feel extremely self-conscious, even guilty, as if our friends are trying to suggest that we have lost a part of ourselves. However, if you are working toward becoming a better version of yourself, or engaging in making positive adjustments to your lifestyle, where is the harm in that?
If your friends are criticizing, demonizing or speaking adversely to or about you, they are not in your corner. It's time to walk away. I firmly believe that everyone who is with you, is not always for you.
Your friends should not be telling you that you are "too skinny" now that you've finally dropped the ten pounds you've been wanting to lose since your pregnancy. You are NOT crazy for waking up at 6 am to go for a 20 minute walk around your neighborhood every morning. They should not be diminishing your advancement, they should be encouraging your improvement.

I've had friends call me everything from an extremist to a sell-out. I'll admit, it bothered me at first, but I realized that I was not to blame

for their unwillingness to prosper or their failure to appreciate my evolution. I decided to let them continue to talk about me from a
distance. Now the only thing they can call me is absent (from their lives).
3. You are losing sight of yourself to make your friends happy.
Throughout the course of my life, I've been guilty of sublimating my needs and desires in order to appease other people. And I'm sure I'm not the only one. For many of us, it's easy to put others before we put ourselves and not realize that we are the ones being damaged in the process.
I've always prided myself on being a reliable person. I'm the guy that everyone calls when they have problems. However, my biggest downfall was allowing myself to become engulfed in their problems at the expense of my own happiness. Because I was being everything to everyone, I didn't have the time to be anything to myself. That caused a great deal of anxiety, depression and resentment toward myself. I was the only one giving, and they had no problem receiving. The person who was having difficulty receiving was actually me.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are constantly stressing over problems that are not directly tied to you, it's time for an adjustment. If you are taking on the burdens of others, you need to start developing an escape plan.
You can still be the reliable and dependable friend you've always been, but keep it to a minimum. Take yourself out of their problems. Realize that their pain is not your pain, nor is it your priority.

You should never feel anxious or annoyed whenever people contact you. If you do, that is a clear sign that you are in an unfavorable

relationship. Typically the most difficult thing for us to change is our minds. What we believe to be true is what we create for our lives. The same goes for our relationships.
For many anxiety sufferers, the root cause of anxiety is often left unknown. Some may have experienced a traumatic or life altering event, while others have become victims of their environment and casualties of pessimistic thinking and negative behaviors.
If your network is your net worth, your relationships should make you feel like Warren Buffett.
