Medisuggestion - The Efficient Combination of Meditation and Autosuggestion

For those who know how to use them, meditation and autosuggestion are efficient tools for influencing the mind and body. Although they are different techniques that impact the subconscious, they are partially overlapping. This article shall analyze the option of combining the two methods in a manner that will enable harnessing the advantages of both methods. This option will be referred to below as medisuggestion.

Meditation vs. Autosuggestion

The main objective of meditation is soothing the soul. This objective is achieved through relaxation, closed eyes, regulated breathing, an attempt to detach oneself from external stimuli and influences, avoidance of disturbing thoughts and the desire to reach the "peaceful realm". Some meditation techniques include the repeated self affirmation of a mantra, usually a meaningless word that contains syllables with no negative connotations. Mediation has a suggestive impact on the body and mind seeing that the individual applying this technique wishes consciously to achieve peace and serenity while consciously and unconsciously detaching from mundane worries. The meditating individual creates, over time, a kind of conditioning aimed at reaching relaxation whenever beginning the meditation process.

While in meditation self suggestion is more of an indirect and side effect of the relaxation method, the self persuasion performed in the process of autosuggestion is direct and intended to generate a willful, directed and focused impact on the subconscious. Autosuggestion is a tool for achieving various objectives and not only tranquility and inner serenity. Similarly to meditation, autosuggestion is also comprised of the constant repetition of certain words. Meditation has the advantage of being a pleasant and calm method in which time is not pressing. Autosuggestion, on the other hand, conveys the message more rapidly and directly, but it lacks an organized method and supportive establishment. Both meditation and autosuggestion are techniques that are not practiced persistently, whether due to their monotonous nature, the fact that their results are not immediately apparent, the fact that daily pressures and troubles distract us from them and overtake our agenda, and whether due to the easier option of using chemical sedatives.

Medisuggestion - Combining the advantages of both methods

Medisuggestion combines autosuggestion and the method of meditation. The concept is very simple: instead of whispering a meaningless and empty mantra during meditation, repeatedly whisper words of suggestive content, such as: "I am peaceful and calm, I am peaceful and calm, I am always peaceful and calm". The message will slowly permeate into your subconscious and when you are more relaxed, so will be your body, including its autonomies.

Medisuggestion - How it works

When we are tense and upset by a significant issue that bothers us and interferes with our peace of mind, we may experience symptoms resembling a slight emotional trauma, such as sleeplessness and recurring thoughts of the same issue, overrunning the everyday routine and refusing to let up. The mind is overwhelmed by the issue in a manner that may even interfere with our ability to function. Indeed, one can take a sedative, but such an option bears with it side effects. It interferes with concentration, causes drowsiness and may impair proper thought processes, not to mention addiction and long term effects to the brain.

When we are in a state of medisuggestion, constantly whispering words of self relaxation, we introduce a "new player" into our mind. This player, appearing as the suggestive chant, slowly pushes aside the annoying thoughts and takes over the mind in their stead, while conveying a message of peace and serenity to the body and soul. The efficient suggestive effect is achieved in two manners: A. The direct auto suggestive message; B. The indirect method of meditation, i.e. everything surrounding us - the atmosphere, the sense of serenity and the conditioning. The impact of this method increases with practice. The "new player" gains power and acquires strength. As time goes by, those temporary worries and tensions that bothered us and which medisuggestion helped us get rid of, fade away and disappear. When we once again enter a state of stress and tension and we repeat the routine and familiar words of relaxation we perceive the temporal problems from a different perspective. The annoying and bothersome problem seems to be temporary and fleeting as compared to that "player" in our mind, who has gained experience and proven itself.

Future Effects

Another advantage of this method over meditation is in its ability to prepare us for an expected difficult and nerve racking event, such as a charged encounter, stressful interview, difficult test, clarification discussion, trial, medical procedure and the likes. Using this method, we can convey a personal message for the future, such as: "Tomorrow, during the interview, I will be calm and serene" through repetition. This method also provides for other future suggestions, such as: "I will be in focus" or "I will be confident". This method increases the level of concentration when "taking the test", unlike a sedative which might even impair concentration levels.

Application

After studying the method and growing accustomed to it, there is no need to implement it daily, but rather when it is truly necessary, and 10-20 minutes are enough for it to work. The method is especially effective when it is most needed, i.e. when waking up at night because of the annoying problem. It is at this stage, when we are neither asleep nor awake, that our subconscious is more exposed to suggestive influences, more open to receive them and more effectively influenced by them.

Turn Your Fear Into a Path to Your Strength and Recharge Your Time

Finding time to work with difficult feelings like fear can ultimately recharge your energy and confidence.

And the good news is that it doesn't need to eat up a lot of your time to get there.

Indeed, as you develop the habit of looking your difficult feelings right in the eye, you'll find that it's a big time-saver and energy boost for you. You'll experience the added bonus of exercising a lot more positive, proactive control over your time, too, because you'll stop taking the long way around things as an avoidance tactic.

We'll focus specifically on fear in this post - remembering that as you work with this, you can substitute any feeling that is difficult for you.

Start here...

So, to start, here's a useful mantra. Repeat this to yourself as you begin this empowering journey: "I turn my fear into a path to my strength."

Maybe in the past, you've tried to hide your fear from sight. In fact, maybe you go so far as to deny your feelings to yourself. You would rather not think of yourself as indecisive or uncommitted.

That's a natural-enough feeling, but it's one that actually reinforces your fears and will keep you firmly stuck in them.

There's a far more productive way to approach your fears: consciously reframe them as challenges that will call you to develop new and exciting strengths! This puts them in a positive context, and, even more importantly, places you in a proactive (rather than a reactive) stance toward them. Right there you are taking back your power and putting yourself in charge.

That changes everything!

So, the next time you feel fear about saying no, don't push that fear away. Greet it as a friend with important information to share.

3 Questions

Here are 3 questions you can ask, as you pursue a deeper understanding of your fear. Ask yourself:

How can I turn this fear inside out? (Reframe it as an opportunity.)

What lesson have I been trying to avoid? (Embracing it will ground and empower you.)

How will I reinvent myself once I say no? (The assertiveness you develop will expand your potential.)

Let your imagination roam freely as you work these questions - the answers you receive may surprise you - and I'd love to hear your experience as you make this empowering journey!

So... are you inspired to find even more time and increase your effectiveness, efficiency and enjoyment?

The Key To Success And Lessons Learned To Create The Life You Want

When I 'd read and studied the lives of highly effective people who have ever walked this Earth, I had no concept just how much my life would be impacted by my findings.

Because these people who 'd owned the key to success were able to willingly without effort extend their natural light of power, it wasn't.

The Course in Miracles states, "Miracles are seen in light, and light and strength are one."

Actually it was a lot more exceptionally easier than that.

Many were able to realize concepts on the meaning of success that the majority of people never could comprehend deeply, let alone on the surface level, of the actions needed to develop a process and follow a blue print that helps successful people grow.

After much intensive research of my own I was left with some golden nuggets that will undoubtedly assist you in business and personal success in life.

Here are a handful of lessons I have actually gained from successful others:

A lot of individuals get captured up in the "how" to do something.

I mean that mega-million dollar thinkers do not consciously operate in that manner, and once they make a decision they look for the options to press forward in life.

Make sure your goals are congruent with your leading a few certain values in life.

Think of how lots of times have you been provided an opportunity and the only thing the person could tell you is how much cash you're going to make?

Some individuals may not achieve success in the equity and bond markets because they would feel like they were taking advantage of people throughout tough times.

Another person in that exact scenario may view themselves as being a consultant to somebody who would otherwise lose their nest egg and get absolutely nothing from it.

As you can see it's the same scenario however everyone has a various value system.

This is not about best or incorrect, but it is about you just being clear and concise about your individual values and make sure your company, business, and/or personal life is in alignment.

When you're down to your last five to ten dollars you might be one idea away from the real meaning of success, even

While one success story claimed "she was shaking and scared she knew she had some options to consider."

Have you ever been at a branch in the road and had to make a choice?

"After being on a job that was making me sick I had come to my breaking point," another one said. He added, "I understood I too had a decision to make and needed to come up with a newer plan."

Think about when there is something you have wished to achieve, but hesitate to step on faith?

Exactly what if you took just a small step today toward that objective and begin to get the life you want?

Get a packet of those yellow sticky notes and the next time you feel scared simply take one little action, because if it worked for this millionaire it can work for you, too.

There are several old sayings that parallel with, "You get what you expect in life."

Now the trick to the meaning of success is you don't need to get caught up in pushing too hard on the procedure, but rather enjoying the process.

Commit results to the outcome and be open to permitting the beauty of intent and synchronicity to work in your favor.

Build your life and purpose for the future.

Previously we looked closely at a few available free e-books and other material online that help towards learning 'how to empower oneself with the power of manifestation tools' available today.

These lessons and other new age thoughts and suggestions ought to be a mantra that is taught for any brand-new business owner.

Numerous individuals start off just focusing on how they are going to produce income.

Oh, surely, don't misunderstand me, this is essential too.

If you wind up a millionaire with no time, bad health, and no close friends or family to share it with, would this be the meaning of success for you?

- Just you can answer that.

So ask yourself a couple of concerns:

- How many long against short hours a day to you wish to work?

- Are you going to work weekends?

- Just how much net revenue do you wish to make each year?

- The number of weeks or months of getaway holiday, vacation or time, will you take each year?

- Will you work when you travel?

The more plainly you define what success in your personal life or business will look like in the future the simpler it is to ask the right questions to help you arrive.

Collaborate your way to success.

For many individuals who have let the politics, back biting and brown-nosing of a corporate world we settle in, the concept of being able to produce our empire alone is what we really want.

What I mean is, while on the surface area this both looks and feels excellent, yet the truth is that you can achieve wealth and experience wealth creation alone.

One entrepreneur shares the idea of the partnership nation, meaning that it is a brand-new paradigm in new business success today.

The concept consists of strategic alliances, networking with others and one the most important players the virtual assistant.

This digital age can do things from make travel plans, visits, book-keeping, taxes, update sites, write or even give you golf or tennis lessons and the like.

Make sure your objectives and goals for the meaning of success are in agreement with your top passions in life.

Begin making sure you do not imprison yourself to the jail cell of "no focus" on your way to success.

(I suggest seeking the net for further helpful content on things like, personal fulfillment and inner power uncovered now to release a scarcity mindset and get the life you want.)

To success and happiness!

How To Be As Good As Jerry Seinfeld (By Bill Stainton)

Are you better today than you were yesterday?

I don't mean physically. We all catch colds, we all have occasional aches and pains-particularly as we get older. No, I mean are you better at what you do? Are you better at your job? Are you better with your customers? Are you better with your team? Are you a better leader?

And, by the way, if you're already a superstar-if you're already at the top of your game-well, sorry. You can't hide behind that.

See, I used to think that once you got to be the best, you could take it easy-at least for a little while. And then I met Jerry Seinfeld.

I used to produce a comedy TV show, and Jerry was a guest on our show multiple times. The last time he was on our show, he did a routine that I'd seen him do in the clubs-but it was better this time. I couldn't quite figure out what was different, so after the show I asked Jerry about it.

"Yeah, I've been tweaking that one," Jerry said. "Here's what happened. I had a show a couple of months ago, and I had a friend videotape it. I was watching the tape back, and I just wasn't happy with that routine. It was working, but I knew I could make it better."

The conversation went on for a few minutes, but notice what he said: "It was working, but I knew I could make it better." Think about that. This is Jerry Seinfeld we're talking about. At the time, he was the hottest comedian in the country. He was making millions of dollars a year. He was selling out theaters and nightclubs. His TV show was heading into the stratosphere. And, as he said, that routine was already working! In fact, it was killing in the clubs!

And Jerry Seinfeld was still trying to make it better.

So here's my question to you: If Jerry Seinfeld, at the top of his game, is still trying to improve, then what's your excuse?

Every time Jerry Seinfeld gets on stage, he wants to be better than he was yesterday, and then better tomorrow than he was today. That's why he's Jerry Seinfeld, while thousands of others are just comedians.

What if that were your mantra as well? To be better today than you were yesterday, and even better tomorrow than you are today? What would you do differently? What would it look like?

I'm a keynote speaker. I speak on leadership and strategic creativity. A fellow speaker once told me, "You should be improving continuously, so that today's audience is cheated by tomorrow's performance."

This week I gave one of the best keynotes I've ever given. I've got another one coming up in a few days. And I want it to be better.

How about you? Do you want to be better tomorrow than you are today? Are you willing to do what it takes to get there? Are you committed to continuous improvement?

In other words: are you willing to be as good as Jerry Seinfeld?

Three Magic Words for Depression and Tough Times

Portrait of a Young Woman in Forest

Show me a man who does not profess to having been upon hard times, and I'll show you a liar.

(Well, either that or one lucky bastard.)

Even the bigshots, the Sylvester Stallones and Tony Robbinses of this world, will tell you that they did most certainly not get where they are today without having to endure goodies like stress, depression, financial rock-bottom, and seemingly insurmountable obstacles galore up front.

So, then, what's their secret?

While there certainly isn't one single answer to that one, I believe there's somewhat of a common denominator.

When normal people face hard challenges, they usually give in, give up, adapt to their new circumstances, and/or simply let things run their course.

Look at the number of people with depression nationwide. It's alarming, and it goes to show that not many people actively do something to change their current circumstances rather than let their current circumstances have their way with them.

Of course, as in the case of depression, this can be totally understandable. Sometimes we simply can't. Sometimes things need to run their course. And sometimes, like with most depressions, it really DOES get better.

Of course, we should always try to take action whenever possible. Even though things seem futile and hopeless, there's often something we can do to improve our situation. But however things are, we could always use some encouragement.

For those darkest of days, I've found this quaint little reminder. I used it a fortnight ago when I was seriously ill. Usually, I have a kickass immune system, but I felt like I literally might need extensive medical treatment, and that I was in grave danger. I mean, it was messed up.

And so, while impotently slumping on the couch like a sack of rotten apples, trembling with cold and quietly mewling from aching joints and muscles, I continually forced this one mantra through my near-feverishly-delirious mind:

THIS

WILL

PASS!

Remember those three words. Because it's these words - or any equivalent thereof - which goes through the minds of great people who endure and overcome stuff more wicked than you and I can imagine.

I've used this mantra before, but never so intensely as the other week. And while it doesn't do anything to better one's current predicament, it really does help on one's awareness and outlook.

Because... : EVERYTHING PASSES.

Neither summers nor winters last. The inevitable march of time does not give two shits about you, me, or anyone else. (And we all end up dying, and there's no Santa Claus.)

But getting stuck in a negative focus is all too easy, and we probably all know this all too well. And so, oftentimes, we could use an anchor connecting us to the positive side of things.

"But what about people who have terminal cancer, or AIDS, or [insert deadly illness of your choosing]?"

Well, there's not one saying that applies to every imaginable situation. What I'm saying is that whenever one comes upon harsh circumstances, chances are that things WILL get better.

And no matter how bleak things appear, we need to know it, and to act like it. Because that way, we set ourselves up to win. And otherwise, we set ourselves up to lose.

So the next time you fall upon a seemingly dark period, remember those three words:

"This will pass".

Let them be your light in the dark. Because, whether you can see it or not, the light really is there.

We just gotta know it, remember it, and live by it. Only then can we move with safety and confidence.

Just Get Over Yourself

                      Man and Woman Dancing

Here they are again! Our self limiting beliefs. For some reason, they show up every day. Even though we made pretty clear, we've been there, done that (too many times) and are ready to move on to the next stage of evolution.

Why is there still this voice inside, whispering how small we are, how insignificant, how ridiculous.

The provocative statement is ruling our life: 'Why would we think we can, if the truth is we can't?'

We might stop right here. How about rewriting our truth? How about creating a new mantra?

Empowering instead of defeating.
Comforting instead of depressing.
Valuable instead of unworthy.

Let's unplug from the old belief system and set a new daily intention:
We can because we think we can!

"You were never created to live depressed, defeated, guilty, condemned, ashamed or unworthy. You were created to be victorious."

Don't let your own expectations hold you back. We've been told to dream big. But sometimes we just THINK way to big and get overwhelmed before we even start. We overestimate what we should be doing in the beginning and underestimate the power which resides within each of us.

We compare ourselves with the shining stars out there. We put them up on a pedestal and don't look close enough. Otherwise we might discover, that every shining star started out very small. They all failed at some point in their lives. They just didn't care. They didn't care about other opinions. They didn't care getting ridiculed from naysayers. They didn't care about the negative head shakers, telling them they should give up and go home. Or even better, not to start at all.

What I love about life is the simplicity of it.
Following just simple rules can have a huge impact on our evolutionary process.
The importance is, WE NEED TO FOLLOW THESE RULES.
We need to commit and show up. We need to get started.

"Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure." George Edward Woodberry

Life is short. Too short to sit and wait. Too short to keep playing small.
Let's start traveling lighter and empty our pockets filled with pity.

If we feel we don't belong, we wouldn't be here.
If we feel we are not important, we wouldn't be here.

Instead, just get over yourself in a loving way and show up. The world is not watching you at every given moment. If you fail, nobody might care, because we are all focused on our own concerns. If you succeed, the world might applaud you for your courage. Your courage to show up and do it anyways.

Do Daily Success Mantras Actually Work?

What gets repeated gets ingrained into your habits. What become habits becomes your life.

Reinforcement in any manner is a powerful tool to reinvent yourself. As Benjamin Franklin says, "your net worth to the world is usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are subtracted from your good ones."

Be careful of whatever you're doing or not doing right now. Warren Buffett warned that "chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken."

So how can we utilize this nature-gifted mechanism to become successful? One popular way is to use something called success mantras or daily affirmations.

These are the sayings, expressions or phrases that you repeat to yourself every day so that the ideas become part of who you are.

However, there's a lot of noise as to whether repeating something that might not be true yet really works.

Well, my take on it is that if you don't at least remind yourself something you truly desire or the kind of person you want to become, it's unlikely you'll behave that way. Human beings easily forget things and anything worthy of pursuit worth our repeated attention.

Therefore, why not investing just 5-10 mins a day to quickly recap your big audacious goals, your grand vision, your exciting dream, your values and your ideal self?

The potential benefits far outweigh the drawbacks of time investment.

Bear in mind though, there are couple of things you need to do to make this positive self-reinforcement work.

Tip #1 Engage As Many Senses As Possible

The more fully engaged you're when doing affirmations, the deeper the message can be encoded in your entire nervous system.

Say it aloud with your strong, resonant, confident voice.

Use as many hand gestures and body movements as you want to communicate your certainty.

Arouse your emotions as deeply as possible so that you feel much more motivated to take actions to reach your goals.

When you play your affirmations full-out, your brain will capture and process the info much quicker and stronger.

Tip #2 Do This Every Day For At Least A Month

A lot of people quit before budding results come.

Don't give up after a week when you don't notice any difference. Commit to it at least for an entire month so that you have a better reference period to compare and contrast the difference in your life.

For bonus point, feel free to change your mantras every 30 days or so. You want to keep the process fun, engaging and inspiring.

The key is to be consistent with this new transformation. You've built enough bad habits in the past and it takes a while to let new empowering ideas to sink in.

Be patient with it to make this work.

Tip #3 Don't Let Naysayers Stop You

Your family members, friends, coworkers or even some online forum acquaintances may think you're crazy repeating something unproven every day.

Well, do you harm them when you have fun affirming the kind of ideal self you want to become? Hell no!

You're building a stronger frame, a stronger personal reality, a stronger lens to perceive the world in an empowering way that serves you the most.

Let go of the need of getting everyone's permission and pleasing them with your acts.

YOU are the most important person of YOUR life. Just do whatever benefits you the most and stick with it.

At the end of the day, when you perform these insane habits and weirdly succeed, everyone is going to benefit from your effort and the world will thank you for that.

So go out there, find your personal mantras to use, repeat them every day for the next 30 days, and experience the mindset shift that propels you to succeed!

Powerful Mantra for Money

Money, like everything else, is energy. Understanding this puts you ahead of the game. The most powerful energy you set into motion beings with I Am statements. Consider how often during the day you make I Am commands! Yes, they are commands. You are knowing yourself to Be that which you are stating. This is the power of creation working in, through, and in you to bring into manifestation that which you proclaim to be absolute TRUTH!

Take a few moments right now to think over how many times you command poverty, struggle, hardships and woe. How often during each day do you refer to yourself in terms that command Source or GOD, to bring you exactly what you say you don't want?

The key is to gain understanding of how you create. When you know yourself to BE a state, like poverty or sickness, health or prosperous, that very thing appears for you to experience. If you would change your life from one state of Being to another, commit to taking fifteen minutes, three times a day to sit quietly with your eyes closed. Use your breathing to relax and enter into a place of silence and stillness. While in this state imagine yourself living the life you dream of. Be there in that imagined place. If you desire is wealth, surround yourself in your imagination with all the things that represent wealth to you. Perhaps it's a beautiful home, or travel. Live in that state of being for at least fifteen minutes.

If your desire is health or love, follow the same pattern. Imagine yourself in that actual life. Fill that space with all that you would do if you were living it now. Using your imagination to the point of feeling it real or feeling it true, brings about a shift in energy, calling that very thing into form. You've been doing it your whole life, but you've used it to create what you worry about or fear.

By following the simply process I've outlined here, you will begin seeing results at once. In the beginning you will notice how different you feel. You are happier, more secure, more hopeful. As you continue to practice these steps you will begin to notice things falling into place much easier and faster.

Stay the course. You CAN have everything you desire. You already have the power. Stay aware of what you are I Am ing into reality! Proclaim only that which you truly desire to experience.

Self-Motivation - The Need of the Time

Imagine.

You are standing on a podium, first time ever in your life facing a massive audience. Thousands of eyes are staring at you and you are in the dilemma, "How to speak?" Several things clutter your mind; you feel you want to deliver your message but are not able to organise words to say it aloud. You are having butterflies in the stomach. And your mind is yelling at you "You can't speak, you just can't." Your hands and legs are shivering but you are trying to hide all your emotions. Even in an air-conditioned room, you are feeling hot within and a look at the audience sends a shiver down the spine.

This is you, me and each one of us. Life is a podium where daily challenges are thrown on us-whether we like it or not-just like competitions. You may opt out of few but can't restrain all of them. Life will give you dare and you have to take it, by any means. You will have goosebumps, increasing anxiety and a fast-beating heart. You may feel "leave me alone" when directionless but the harsh fact is, it happens and it happens with each one of us.

I can't offer you solutions for your problems but I can definitely give you 5 tips that will give you the strength to face them. Believe me, it works!

1. The "I can" mantra

Thousands of books claim "If you believe I can, it will work."

And the honest part is 'I can'. Just a firm 'yes' within can push your anxiety down and calm your senses. These are the physical sensations that the body confronts on facing a challenge. Give yourself time, believe things will be fine. Don't be diffident just because things are not working out the way you wanted them to.

2. A positive vibe "Om"

Rapid thoughts book a special place in mind when you are facing anxiety. The mind tends to do negative talks ultimately breeding fears. All that you fear won't be true. It's your mind that makes you believe it. To deal with this, take a deep breath and just say "Om" (thousands of scientific research has proved Om has innumerable positive vibes) and feel that you are keeping the negative energies aside too along with it. You may use other words too but you need to have faith in them. Nothing works without hope, not even the Mother Earth.

3. Positive stories

Listening to a positive real-life story, reading stories online, and sharing your experience with friends and family will boost your confidence to face the problem. Miracles don't happen overnight, but they do happen if you have the positive energy within to believe in them. Try it, you will feel good.

4. Your magical diary

Make a habit of jotting down all those life events -whenever you feel life is tough and you passed the hard times with flying colours- in a diary. I call it "magical diary". Read through them when you feel down or negative, this will really pull you out from the quicksand.

5. Gratitude

When facing hard times, it feels impossible to express gratitude in life. Such times will make you feel "What should I be thankful for?" Well, take a seat, look back and think "Are your problems bigger than the small precious gifts you receive from life almost daily? - someone's smile, blessings, the ability to walk, talk, think, and many more".

Count on your blessings, the negative emotions within will start fading soon.

Miracles don't happen overnight, so practice these steps daily. You will notice the difference in your attitude down the line.

Life is easy and difficult. A paradox, right!
Life seems easy in happy times but when the high tides are crossing the sea limit, it is time to execute your strength to make life at ease.
5 Tips and find out the difference.

Live Like A Hero

Ever notice the first words invariably spoken when we recognize a hero publicly? "I never felt like a hero, I'm no hero," these words are the mantra of heroes. Regardless of the nature of their actions being hailed as heroic, they saw nothing unusual in their response. What is the difference in these people and those who stare in admiration at their acts? They have always lived like a hero; one day they were called on to act like a hero.

Heroes spend a lifetime following a creed of honor and respect for others. What traits are normally found in them?

1) They act responsibly in every situation.
2) They live compassionately, tending to look beyond weakness in others as they seek to find and focus on their strengths.
3) Reliability is their creed. They take pride in establishing relationships where they expect others to know they will be there for them. And they are.
4) They stand strong in the face of adversity.
5) They take the time to know themselves, to recognize and improve on their weaknesses while maintaining their strengths.
6) They avoid idle chatter, preferring to shoot straight and seek solutions rather than criticizing others efforts that may be failing.
7) They have an innate ability to understand that life is a series of head-on collisions; they wear a mental helmet of faith, hope and integrity. They live expecting the best possible outcome.
8) They rarely have a plan B. They understand that you get what you prepare for; they always prepare for what they may be called to act upon.
9) Injustice in any form ignites a passionate response in them; for them it is intolerable.
10) They are intuitive, seeming to know when and how to act and react to situations.

These are good old-fashioned traits that many parents continue to build and embrace in raising their family to be productive members of society. Look closely behind the hero and you will likely find parents or some adult or affiliation that embraced character building.

Heroes are not born; they are raised to embrace standards that encompass empathy, compassion, respect for self and others, to act responsibly and to embrace faith in their life. If you weren't raised that way you can still embrace the traits that create the best possible response to every situation. Even if you are never recognized publicly, you can be sure you will face the time when you are called on to be a hero allowing you to touch another person in a life altering situation. You may never know that you were their hero, but they will. It begins with choosing to live like a hero; if you do, you will always be prepared to act like one.

12 Tips For Conquering Anxiety

Anxiety is part of the human condition. Search for somebody that never ever feels anxiety. Some individuals are more resistant to stress and anxiety than others, but everyone can reinforce their capability to manage anxious sensations. Establishing a high level of anxiety is a learned ability. Reducing stress and anxiety is an ability, too.

The crucial factor to managing anxiety is to begin reducing it as soon as possible after it hits you. The more it develops, the more challenging it is to manage.

Deal with anxiety rapidly and easily:

1. Break your day into small pieces. Just worry about the percentage of time in front of you. If you're sitting in a conference at 9:00 AM, there's no need to fret about how you're going to pay the electric bill or exactly what you're going to have for dinner. Take the day a minute at time and keep your interest on that minute.

2. Create a mantra and utilize it. Have a positive and uplifting phrase you repeat to yourself. You'll eventually begin to think it and you'll obstruct any negative self-talk.

" I'm happy with the ability to manage any circumstance."

" My life is filled with joy and positive energy."

3. Workout. The quickest way to relieve anxiety is to work out enough to sweat. A casual walk is better than nothing, but to get the greatest benefit, it's necessary to get your heart beating hard.

4. Utilize distractions. Distractions never ever fix the underlying problem, but can supply relief. See a movie, play cards, or do a crossword. Hang out with a friend. Give yourself a break and put your focus in other places.

5. Keep going. Anxiety occurs since some part of your brain is attempting to stop you from doing something about it. It has learned that it can control you by making you feel miserable. You can reduce the anxiety you feel by plowing ahead. Your brain will learn that making you feel anxious does not work.

6. Give yourself 20 minutes to fret and worry each day. Schedule your worry time. You'll find yourself less inclined to fret throughout the other 23-plus hours of the day.

7. Change your environment. Leave your existing environment and provide yourself a change of scenery. Go to the park or invest some time at the coffee shop. Spend an hour window shopping. Shake things up a bit.

8. Hang out with your pet. If you have a pet, you know how reassuring they can be. Rest on the floor and have a heart-to-heart with your pet. How could you not feel better?

9. Write in a journal. Get your anxiety out of your head and down on paper. There's something cathartic about writing when you're stressed out. Make a habit of writing about your life each day.

10. Discover the best aroma. The right scent can be relaxing. Travel to the candle store and find something that makes you feel excellent when you smell it. Or check out some of the aromatherapy oils at your local health store.

11. Find a hobby that requires concentration. It could be chess, playing the piano, or knitting. It doesn't matter what the pastime is as long as you enjoy it and it requires your complete attention. It can be a fantastic way to invest your down time.

12. Envision. Envision something positive. Fantasize about Maui or keep in mind a favorable experience from the past. Imagine your perfect day.

Dealing with stress and anxiety is necessary. Effective individuals are successful due to their ability to handle stress and anxiety effectively. When you feel fear begin to build, deal with it instantly. A high level of anxiety is very difficult to manage. Develop a list of methods that can be carried out rapidly when stress and anxiety first appear.

Transform Your Time and Your Life One Small Change at a Time

One-day-at-a-time.

How often have you heard that mantra? And how often have you actually acted on it?

It really is how change happens: - one-day-at-a-time. But we tend to forget that - either catastrophizing about missteps or getting complacent when we are doing well. And when we lose our one-day-at-a-time focus, we are very likely to lose our footing and lose ground.

Embracing a one-day-at-a-time perspective means, of necessity, starting and staying small. It's how you make this work for yourself. That's not to say you should not have big goals. More, it's to remember that big goals are brought to fruition by lots of small steps.

As Kyle Savikko wrote in a recent blog post, NOT staying small leads inevitably to disappointment.

It is then when we fall. We miss a day of working out. Forget to brush our teeth. Are too busy and get too distracted by the trials of life to write everyday... We miss the chance to fulfill our promise to ourselves to perform the habits.
One-day-at-a-time and your goals

So, how does this perspective work when you have really big goals?

Actually, it works quite well. You still have your goals - as big as your dreams. But you know, right down to your toes, that your path involves many incremental steps. If your goal is to create and sustain a new habit, you know that it takes a lot of repetition. Each step is important, but no one step makes or breaks things. Each link in the chain is vital but, honestly, in most situations, if you break the chain you can pick it up again and keep going.

There's a balance to maintain here. Each step is important, but it's a form of self-sabotage to make any single step into a make-or-break proposition. Encourage and energize yourself with your commitment to follow-through, but don't beat yourself up for a misstep. That will only distract you and get you stuck in self-criticism.

One-Day-at-a-Time Challenge

So, what's one change that you'll make in your life in the coming month, one-day-at-a-time.

For me, my commitment is to find time for meditation once a day - even if only for 5-minutes (but when I can, for longer). I know how this practice grounds and rejuvenates me - and it's one that I sometimes set aside when life feels hectic.

What small thing would you like to do, one-day-at-a-time, in the coming month? Remember, small steps are the stuff of important and transformational journeys.

We can all change our lives, one small change at a time.

What Should You Do Now? Whatever It Takes (By Katharine Giovanni)

Whatever it takes... an incredible group of words when you think about it.

I'll do whatever it takes.

To what?

Whatever it takes to pay my bills?

Whatever it takes to beat cancer?

Whatever it takes to become financially free?

Whatever it takes... even if it means giving something up?

I was watching Oprah a few years back and was told a story I have never forgotten. Two young men saw an oil tanker go off the road right in front of them. As the truck burst into flames, they pulled their car over and without thinking ran down the embankment, raced through the flames, and pulled the driver out to safety. Seconds after they pulled him out the truck exploded. The amazing part was that they did it without thinking! They told Oprah it never occurred to them to not do it, they simply saw a man in need and reacted. She just sat there in awe.

Whatever it takes.

Personally, I have lived by this mantra for years. Ron and I did whatever it took to keep our company up and running during a bad economy. I did whatever it took to survive stage 3 breast cancer (four years cancer free in June 2016!). Whatever it took to help our neighbors when they were in need. What happened when I ran into a wall? I did whatever it took to get back up and get going again. Sometimes I could get up by myself, and sometimes I needed a helping hand... but I GOT UP!

It never occurred to me to NOT run into the fire when someone or something needed me... I just did it without thought.

I've also been known to do whatever it takes to BELIEVE that I can do whatever it takes.

My husband Ron does whatever it takes. When my sons were small, he ran into a nasty undertow to save someone from drowning. He saw the lifeguard race into the water and instinctively ran in after him. He also saved two people from choking to death. He did whatever it took to keep our company alive while I was sick. Plus, he did whatever it took to help me beat cancer. He's done this sort of thing a lot over the years. It's who he is.

Whatever it takes... no matter what the topic.

So do whatever it takes to become a success and reach your dreams! NEVER give up!!! Do whatever it takes to be kind, loving, generous and warm. Do whatever it takes to help someone out when they need it. Do whatever it takes to spend time with your family.

How much should you do? How hard should you work? What should you change?

Just do whatever it takes.

Always leave people better than you found them.
