How To Be Successful In Life - The Underlying Principles of Success

Everyone wants to achieve the highest level of success. However, reaching that desirable level of success is not as easy as most of us perceive. To be successful, you have to sacrifice and forego majority of life's pleasures. Below is a list of seven guaranteed ways to be successful in life.

1. Do what you love

Unfortunately, most of us end up settling for jobs or careers that do not offer maximum satisfaction. Put simply, it is important to understand your passion and pursue it with all your energy and resources. The greatest regret held by a majority of the elderly is settling for what they did not love. To avoid having regrets on most of your early life decisions, be sure to pursue your passion. Doing what you love will ensure you remain passionate and highly motivated in your day to day activities regardless of the income. Be sure to discover your true purpose and work hard to achieve your goals.

2. Identify with a successful individual

As you look to achieve your dreams and initially set goals, ensure you remember that success has no secret recipe. It is advisable to identify with a successful person in your field of interest, and do whatever your mentor does to achieve his or her level of success. Once you have a role model or a mentor you associate with, it becomes easier to emulate the positive traits while learning from your mentor`s mistakes. Pick up the positive habits and ensure you avoid the mistakes made by your role model. By emulating a successful person, you increase your chances of succeeding exponentially.

3. Anticipate failure of disappointment

Good things never come easy, and if they do, then they probably won't last. Do not anticipate a smooth sailing in your journey to success. Instead, be ready to pick yourself up whenever you experience failure or disappointment. After all, successful people are characterized by their ability to remain hopeful even in their greatest disappointments. Therefore, regardless of how many times you fail, ensure you remain optimistic and confident in your ability to succeed.

4. Practice makes perfect

No one can succeed without commitment and adequate practice. To achieve the highest level of success in your respective field, it is necessary to take your time to practice until your skills become flawless. Contrary to popular belief, success is attained by maintaining a high level of consistency. Thus, to enjoy success, you must be willing to put time into strengthening your skills through constant practice.

5. Plan

Unfortunately, most of us assume that success happens overnight. However, success more often than not occurs as a result of adequate planning and organization. To achieve your set goals and targets, it is crucial to have a plan that will act as a guide. Successful people know what to do and when to do things; they just don't go about doing everything simultaneously. As a result, be sure to take your time and adequately plan for all your milestones. Set a schedule and observe it to the latter. Once you have a plan in place, it will be possible to measure your progress and consequently ensure that everything goes according to plan.

6. Be true to yourself

As you embark on your journey to success, it is necessary to understand that the biggest obstacle to success is yourself. Procrastination never helps; in fact, all it does is rob you off the time that you would otherwise utilize to achieve your goals. Therefore, ensure you are hard on yourself. That is, avoid procrastinating or letting yourself off the hook whenever you lack the motivation to do an important activity. Without self-discipline, it is impossible to achieve your set goals.

7. Enjoy the journey

Always keep in mind that everyone has an independent journey and purpose. Avoid comparing yourself to others as aimless comparisons can derail your development. Be patient and ensure you reward yourself every time you achieve your goals or initially set milestones. Indeed, it is only through self-love and appreciation that you can achieve the highest level of success. As such, give yourself treats and rewards that match your achievements. Remember, if you do not appreciate your achievements, no matter how small, then no one else will.

Throughout a career in engineering, and project management with a family then afterward as an author, a laser focus, concentration and optimizing, prioritizing schedule has been critical for his success.

Hard Work And A Little Faith Can Break Any Mountain, If You're Willing To Venture Into The Unknown

Become A Greater Version Of Yourself

Let's get straight to the point as I want to speak from the heart.

Sometimes, a goal or dream may seem insurmountable from where you stand.

I know what it's like.

Whilst people may consider you successful from the outside, there's a lot hidden out of sight they're unaware of.

Success is subjective because no two people share the same outlook. One must find their own measure of success and live by that ideal, instead of believing they are a failure.

For example, if I consider myself unsuccessful compared to an internationally bestselling author with millions of followers like Tony Robbins, I am likely to feel like a failure.

By this measure, comparing my success to others is not a correct representation because no two paths are the same.

The point is to create your own definition of success because it helps you know whether you are on track.

You must think with the end in mind since you are likely to achieve your goals and commit to the hard work. Moreover, you may not consider it hard work if you are passionate and committed to the journey.

Hard work requires a focused commitment to your talents, gifts and greatest strengths. It involves becoming a greater version of yourself in pursuit of your goals.

Success is the reward of a concerted effort.

It is the prize for harnessing your potential and directing it towards your goals and dreams.

Don't think it's impossible to achieve your goals from where you are now since you may be starting out or midway through the journey. Therefore, your perception is incomplete based on your assessment.

Have Faith The Finish Line Is Within Sight

I've used this metaphor in earlier articles, however it warrants being repeated.

Believing you're unable to achieve a goal or dream is comparable to building a new home and visiting the construction site midway through the project. You might conclude from your observation the house isn't finished because it is still being constructed.

In a related vein, it was a mentor who once offered a similar example by way of swimming across a channel.

He said: when you're halfway between your starting point and destination, it may look as though you will not complete the swim. However, if you continue to swim towards the finish line, you will get there eventually.

Being unable to see the finish line frightens you most. Trust the finish line is within sight and continue swimming towards it, he would often say.

This is the key to succeeding at your goals and dreams. Develop the discipline to commit to the daily tasks that move you toward your ambitions.

To abandon ship midway can be disheartening because you invest much of your time and energy to get to this point.

Giving up may not be the right call. There could be other avenues to explore before you make that choice.

The toughest decisions are those when you venture into the unknown. Contained within the uncertainty lies the greatest hope your goal will be achieved.

Faith, determination and a tenacious will are vital to achieving any goal or ambition.

Goals and dreams are meaningless were it not for the person you become.

Life Can Change At The Drop Of A Hat

Ask those who've achieved success about the lessons gained during their journey. They will tell you of the difficult times when quitting was a decision away.

I equate it to my years of long distance road cycling and hitting the wall frequently.

This is a term used to describe when an athlete runs out of energy stores in their body. The physiological effects are frightening since the individual can experience: trembling, hallucinations, shivering, slurred speech, fainting and dizziness to name a few.

When you are many miles away from home and run out of food, with no convenience stores in sight, the only thing to do is focus on small landmarks to get you to your destination.

You might focus on riding to the next lamppost or the next tree. To even contemplate the finish line is overwhelming, especially when you consider how far you have to go.

The lessons gained from these experiences are: I needn't know whether I will make it to my destination because that is not helpful at the time.

My task is to keep moving and focus on what's ahead of me.

Similarly, your undertaking is to keep moving, irrespective of the challenges and obstacles you face.

Faith requires believing in the unfolding narrative of your journey. It won't reveal itself until you take the next step.

Circumstances can change unexpectedly and that's why you should continue to move towards your goals and dreams little by little.

If you act on faith alone, you will eventually get there and gain the wisdom and personal growth along the way.

You can overcome any challenge as long as you keep moving.

Rest if you must.

Take time out if needed.

But don't give up because you can never regain what is lost if you surrender.

Sometimes, what appears as your bleakest hour can turn around and set you on the path to victory.

Work hard and savour the challenges.

Plough ahead knowing success is attainable even if it doesn't look that way.

Commit to the path, regardless of the journey getting there.

Not all roads are lined with roses, but with sometimes with thorns, roadblocks and dead ends.

If you are willing to venture into the unknown, you will eventually break that mountain that once looked formidable from a distance.

How To Restore Passion For Your Life

When was the last time you felt truly passionate about something? Felt good, right? And so it should! Good thing is, you can learn how to restore passion for your life.

Passion is most evident when body, mind and spirit work together to create, articulate or manifest feelings, ideas and values. Passion is ignited when all of you work together. It is the presence of your soul combined with the totality of all you've experienced, and it empowers to live at optimal levels.

Passion your natural state. When what you do is in alignment with who you are, it increases your energy. Passion is like water flowing along its natural riverbed, gaining momentum from its course - unlike many work environments, where it feels more like trying to force water up and over a mountain!

Passion creates resilience. It enables you to overcome obstacles and to look beyond current setbacks to the infinite potential that's yours to claim. The passionate soul discovers nuggets of potential in every situation.

Passion transfers vibrant energy to every person or situation it touches. You can't fake it. Anyone can spot a phony by sensing lack of authenticity and depth in their actions.

And yet, many people run from passion because they're afraid of being burned. They hang on to the pain of betrayed trust and misplaced confidences as a reminder to dampen their own passion, lest they be hurt again. Perhaps they held the bucket for soulless greed and overzealous egos disguised as passion. Consequently, they're afraid of taking the risk to live life fully, openly and passionately. They may have even vowed to never go there again.

Instead, they opt for a more predictable, monochromatic existence. Rather than taking exploring the endless possibilities of life, they insist on hiding inside a safety bubble; giving up on adventure to exist in a sanitary, colorless world where nothing new happens.

What they really need is to restore their passion!

If you want a juicy life, you need to open your heart and mind to the multidimensional experience of passionate living every day.

Can you imagine how much more meaningful our roles as parents, lovers, business owners, employees, teachers and leaders would be if all our actions were predicated on our true passion? There is no limit to how far your influence can reach! To tap into your potential, you must engage life with passion. By bringing passion to what you do, you express every aspect of your creative being.

Here's the secret to living a passionate life: Never try to throttle down your passion for fear of what might show up! You cannot selectively suppress some part of your being without also suppressing the rest of your energy. When you suppress your passion, you also suppress your Life Force.

Truth is, every activity you engage in expresses the whole of you - much like one part of a hologram reflects the whole in its entirety. Even if you pick a narrow skill like running a marathon or cooking, your whole sense of self is expressed through that activity when doing it with passion.

When living from your passion, you bring your entire identity to the party, not just an isolated part. This may sound daunting, but actually it's the most natural way to approach anything.

When you hold some part of yourself back, you deny it exposure to life; you repress its energy and keep it from learning what it needs to know. Imagine a baby who wants to learn how to walk but has these reservations:

  • I don't want to look bad.
  • I don't want to fall down.
  • I don't want to fail.
  • I don't want to expend all my energy.
  • I don't want any pain.
  • I don't want to suffer.

It would seem absurd! If these thoughts prevail, the chance for mastery could never present itself. Yet as adults we resort to such reservations all the time - and deny ourselves mastery as a result.

The minute a situation arises, all the negatives around that situation will arise in the mind along with all the possibilities. The key is that you have a choice about which to focus on!

When you choose to focus on negatives, you yield to subconscious fear to shut out understanding. Do that often enough and you become a victim, subject to bewildering fears that can threaten to overwhelm you. These fears aren't coming from blind fate or misfortune; they simply represent holes in your awareness, the places where you haven't dared to look yet.

To break free from such self-limiting behavior, try looking at an issue that has kept you from totally engaging in life. For instance, if you are worried about what others may think of your effort, then that is the issue you need to challenge!

When I launched out into a solo practice, well-intended friends questioned whether I would make it in a highly demanding field. I chose not to listen to the voices of apprehension; instead, I redoubled my efforts because my passion is to help people.

At the time, it was the scariest, riskiest, most challenging thing I could think of doing with my life. It was also the one thing that kept me dreaming and working against all odds. Today, I can look back at decades of amazing outcomes and success.

Choosing to follow my passion took me to the edge of my comfort zone and stretched me in every way possible. It also brought growth, joy and fulfillment into every area of my life. I wouldn't trade what I'm doing for the world, because I get to use my innate gifts daily. I love living in alignment with my purpose and my passion!

What is that one, wild dream you have buried deep within? Is it time to let it emerge into the light where you can nourish it into a passionate path to fulfillment? How will you know unless you try?

You can restore passion for your life.

Start voicing your inner dreams and passions. Face down your fears, and treat your dreams like tender threads of gold, for they are every bit as precious. They form the fabric that fabulous lives are woven from!

The Day I Was Declined A Job Because I Was Passionate About It (By Suzanne Zacharia)

The day I was declined a job for which I was very passionate was one day when my self-esteem plummeted to a new low. Don't let it happen to you. Different bosses look for different qualities, often based upon their own flaws and insecurities.

That boss was not ready for my answer when he asked why I would make the best salesperson in his team. I simply said that as a single mother of two young children in a nationwide recession, I was passionate about earning money for my children and passionate about giving them a good life, and so I was passionate about selling for the company and would not stop till I exceeded my targets.

I overlooked a few factors which now are screaming out their visibility to me. I look at them now smiling, my own boss for 15 years, as well as having done EFT tapping to let go of the trauma. So, what did I miss? Well, for starters, the only females in the whole company were the receptionist and the low-paid lady who typed up stuff for the salesmen. The most obvious factor was when the would-be boss asked me in the interview whether I was single and planned to have more children. Of course, these days it is illegal to ask such a discriminatory question. However, I did answer that I was sterilised and had no desire to increase the burden on providing for my children and every desire to give them the best life I could, which is why I was at this interview.

The interview was for a salesperson. I could sell because I thought first and foremost of my children and their needs. I had not as yet learned the technique where you find out what the buyer wants and then sell it to them. But that was an easy technique to learn, and that would-be boss could have taught it to me in half a day's training, just like the one after him did, where I became world famous for my sales. I was not number 1 but consistently number 2 or 3 salesperson in a large sales organisation, so I guess I was pretty good. The only thing that stopped me for beating Mr Number 1 was conscience. We sold advertising that hardly anyone got to see to very small businesses, and my conscience would not allow me to take from a business by deceit what the small business owner could not afford to lose.

It took about 6 sessions of self-EFT to get over that job rejection. I wish I had learned EFT before going to that interview. EFT, short for Emotional Freedom Techniques, does just that, using a mixture of easy self-acupressure and releasing wording. Then I would have gotten up and told the would-be boss that he was a sexist thing that could not be described as a pig, because pigs can be nice, and then walked away with my self-esteem intact. There was no way he would have employed me anyway, He only employed male salespeople.

As a result of the plummeting self-esteem thing, I ended up taking a job which paid considerably less. I now run my own business and only take on passionate people who can convince me why they are passionate about the work and my company. The rest is down to the job of being a boss, part of which is good training.

What Is It You Are Passionate About? (By Joan Silva)

What are the deal breakers in your life? The non-negotiable must haves or you're outta there?

Are you clear on what they are for you? Crystal clear?

I know I wasn't until a major health crisis hit me straight upside the head.

It woke me up, shook me to my core and said, "Hello Joan, what the heck are you doing?"

I noticed how many areas in my life I tolerated, gave over, or made do.

What made me go along, I wondered, with something that was so at odds with my own true values?

Could it be I wasn't clear on my own, so I did whatever presented itself? Was I going along just to get along - to not rock the boat?

But then, my health and my body gave me the biggest wake up call of my life. No longer could I ignore that which was highly important, in fact imperative, to me.

I knew life would suck, to put it bluntly, if I didn't keep them ever present.

So, I sat down with pen in hand and wrote down what really mattered to me. I got crystal clear.

I asked myself, "What is it I am passionate about and simply cannot live without?"

Do you know what it is that's so important to you that nothing else can take its place?

Without it present in your life, you simply are not fulfilled.

Or, you're constantly out of sorts.

What is that for you?

Honestly, I wasn't totally clear on it for myself either. That is until I dug deeper.

And, what I realized was surprising - that most of the time I was operating from a long held belief, expectation, or tradition that no longer served me. Shockingly enough, maybe it never did.

I ran most of my adult life based on what was expected of me as a woman, daughter, wife, and mother.

Or, what the "norm" was for my era, age, and time period in my life.

Like buy a house, way too young, when freedom from obligations and debt would have been far easier and more fun. All the years since then, slaving away for long hours, to pay the mortgage, along with everything else I felt compelled to have, buy, or own.

The reality hit me that I was making someone else's dreams come true, not mine - or certainly helping their bottom line. I noticed that as their bottom line improved, mine didn't.

What was it that had me strive so hard to have those things? To work so hard for a lifestyle that never felt complete.

And, damaged my health, stole my joy, and left me unfulfilled.

That was the question I had to answer - for me, and for no one else.

Because, what I ended up with was a houseful of stuff, most of which I didn't use, need, or want. A busy, over full calendar with little room to breathe or add what truly mattered. Too many obligations which were promises to others to do what they needed, not what was best for me.

And, a scary health diagnosis which got my attention more than any other warning sign.

It was time to get clear on what truly mattered to me? What was it that I was passionate about...

... that up until now, wasn't being fulfilled.

What were my true values and beliefs? Those values and beliefs that were foundational and a deal breaker if I didn't have them.

That's where it all begins - getting crystal clear on those.

"One of the keys to making health and authentic living simple and sustainable is to get crystal clear on your values - the baseline needs that drive who you are as a person. Ideally, our values inform and direct our actions which determine our habits and priorities - how we allocate our time and resources" (Rebecca Shern, Minimal Wellness)

There are four value areas in which to get clear, as suggested and described by Rebecca. Those four areas are:

Foundational Values - Your ideal life. Non-negotiable. A deal-breaker if you don't have them, and critical to your identity.

Core Values - Important. Met in a variety of ways, and can change over time.

Tertiary Values - These add value, but carry less weight or importance than foundational or core values.

Imaginary Values which are actually obstacles. Things you use to pacify yourself, which don't serve you and quite often harm you.

Like Cheetos. They pacified me. Filled an emptiness or addiction within. YET were truly harmful to me. Ultimately, they were a block to one of my foundational values of optimal health and self care.

The day that I sat down and got clear on my values - all four types - was a pivotal moment for me. It gave me a clear road-map to follow going forward.

No longer could I deny what was foundational to me. And, now whatever I do, say, or buy, is more in alignment with those values than any other time in my life.

What about for you? Is it time you put pen to paper and got crystal clear on your values? Those that serve you and those imaginary ones that don't!

Unclear on your values and beliefs? No need to fret. There is an easier way -- a pain-free way.

Let's put pen to paper together... and get clear on what they are!

Don't continue to make decisions, especially life altering ones, until you do!

Let's talk

Because, by the way... I didn't do it alone. You don't need to do it alone, either!

Do What Makes You Feel Most Alive

Man Hugging Laughing Woman While Standing in Body of Water

The real journey in life is to do what makes you feel most alive. There is no lack of wonders in this world; it is just you not paying attention often enough to the marvels of this planet. Everything around you is incredible if you are willing to look at it that way. Or it can also be taken for granted.
Which way is your perspective for living today? What can you do to feel more alive? Are you following your heart's calling? Or do you only like what you do?

If I ask, it is because it is the key, the factor that helps you through whatever you are building or creating for yourself. It means to be passionate at the moment without thinking about yesterday or tomorrow, forgetting time. And it is to enjoy and love every part of what you are doing.

But it is also about the frame that you choose to put around things. I mean, merely being alive, is already a marvel of nature. The odds are so stacked against you. Not only being a human being is short of a miracle but living at this moment in time is extraordinary.

The Wonderful Opera of Life
In this day in age, breakthroughs and technologies are happening at an unprecedented rate. Things such as medical or metaphysical discoveries, or the way we connect with people all the way around the globe are a wonder in themselves. How everything we are living in right now is the most marvelous time ever. But you have to look at it that way so that you can feel most alive.

"Life is a wonderful opera, except that it hurts." - Joseph Campbell
So the question is: Do you see it as a beautiful opera or do you just pay attention to the pain?

And if I ask, it is because, at the end of the day, you are going to get what you are focusing on. They are both true. It is both the most amazing time that is ever happening in recorded history. Being alive, you are a part of it, and yet, real things that are terrifying are also happening.

Feeling Alive Begins in Your Mind
But where you put your energy, attention, and emphasis is going to determine what you see and that is the most fascinating. And the most important thing you have to understand, about the way your mind works, is that you get what you focus on. So it is vital to do what makes you feel most alive.

If you focus on the things that are bad, they become real. They will be emphasized, exaggerated, and will monopolize your thoughts. You will see them everywhere. It is no joke; it is a scientific fact. Your mind is literally designed to pay attention to the things that you notice.

Think for a moment! Never had a time where you once noticed a specific car, name, object, or any other thing, and then you saw it all over the place. So, once you remarked something, you suddenly realize that it was around you this entire time.

What Makes You Feel Most Alive
But now that you are focusing on it, now that you are looking for it, it is everywhere. So, whatever you look for, it is going to be all over. If you look for the negative, it will be there. But if you look for the positive, it will overwhelm you, making you feel alive.

Not that it is a bad thing but I used to grind in pursuit of money, and I then burned out. But once I started grinding in the name of what I most believe in and what makes me feel most alive, suddenly I began to succeed, and the rest followed. Today, I do not want to do it in any other way.

What you and I are seeking is the experience of being truly alive. That is when you are living in the present moment and not judging, or getting any highs or lows. It is just living and taking it all in. And it becomes so natural at some point that you feel most alive. However, you should prioritize more of the things that make you feel passionate and excited, and do it regularly.

Focus on Being Alive
So, it is a good reminder that success or wealth always turns up when you choose to do something that you love or make you feel full of life. That is it! It is the dominant calling within us. It is figuring out what makes you come alive.

Therefore, it is not keeping up with 'Game of Thrones' or how much you can get out of it, but instead, something meant for you. It is something particular, and it will be different for everyone. So, find the thing that makes you feel most alive.

Focus on it. Think about it. Put all your energy on that one thing. Set your time and all your attention there. Shift away from seeing the pain and the opera, and instead see the wonder in it all. Look at the glory that is just everything around you, the opportunities, and the fact that you are alive.

Ideas to Feel Most Alive
The point here is to do something that you feel passionate, excited, exhilarated about and most alive.

  • Tell someone how you feel about them instead of waiting.
  • Ask advice or encouragement from someone who has done what you want to do.
  • Start finally pursuing your passion.
  • Make the changes you want to make in your life.
  • Try something you always wanted to try.
  • Begin to create something you would enjoy and take the first step in doing it.
  • Go somewhere you always wanted to go.
  • Use a new belief to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
  • Take one tiny step toward your big goal today.
  • Pick one thing that resonated with you and do it.

Find Fulfillment in Life
Once you can see that those necessary things you take for granted like you can breathe through your nose and out through your mouth, and all of that typical stuff. You then see how miraculous it is, how connected we are to all of life, and understand that the name of the game is, before all else, what makes you feel most alive.
When you realize it and feel that way, wealth, success, ambition will follow. It is finding fulfillment in your life. Once you understand that this is a game of attention, you then can entirely control what you focus on.

So, choose very wisely, my friends, because your life will become the result of the things that you look at, and pay attention to. You may feel terrified, but so thrilled and alive. Therefore, do what makes you feel most alive in this world.

Message From the Universe: Let's Get Serious About Having Fun

Women Inside A Van

"You don't have to take everything so seriously. Life isn't black and white, answers aren't always yes or no, and absolutely nothing has to happen today. Act when you're ready. Be led by your feelings. And the next time someone wants to fit you into a mold, just tell 'em that your jeans are in the wash, your angels are at the mall, and Oprah's on the other line.

Fuzzy as dice,
The Universe"

Everything will happen when it has to happen. Taking life too seriously will end up draining all your energy and your passion to survive. You can't always live on your guards, day in and day out. You need to just relax and enjoy this journey. I am aware that you may have goals and dreams and want to do everything in your power to reach them sooner than later. Unfortunately for you and everyone, life has a way to intervene and put a halt on these dreams and goals, and that is not to piss you off or anything, OK, maybe just a little, but mostly because it will not let you shine until it feels you are fully ready to face these great responsibilities of fortune and glory. You may think you are but this is not always the case. With great power comes great responsibilities and it is not always up to you to determine your readiness to these responsibilities. Do not worry though, the right time will come and you will be able to enjoy the fruit of your labor and become successful in your own rights. I am not saying it will be easy, or hard, or whatever, but it will require you to be patient, determined, passionate with what you do, stay positive despite the hurdles you will face and most importantly, never give up.

Your future is pre-destined to be what it should be and you can't really know what you do today was already a part of your destiny. You may change path, but then again, was that already pre-written in your book of life? If you take that one door instead of that other, can you consider that a potential change of your imminent future or was that change already a part of your path to existence? You can go crazy to try to understand the what if's of life, or if you should have done this or that and maybe you would have experience more success in life. You can't know and will never really know but that is the beauty of all this. The fact that you don't know reveals a vulnerable side of you that you have your entire life to cope with and taking chances is what will make you reach success. If you are too afraid of the unknown, you will never know and live your life in regret, always wishing you should have taken the risks you are willing to take today. So go out there, enjoy the journey of life and always stay serious about having fun.

Message From the Universe: The Advantages of Waiting Just a Bit Longer

Two Woman and One Man Looking at the Laptop

"Confusion, indecision, and uncertainty often mean that if you wait a little longer before deciding, an even better option will emerge, with such clarity it may bite you on the nose and sweep you off your feet.

The nice kind of bite.

I'd say wait a little longer,
The Universe"

So why rush the major decision of your life? Take your time before jumping into anything. Let it ponder a few days, analyze the situation, look for several options and then make a decision but do not look back, no matter what are the consequences. Never live life with regrets. Never be fooled by people forcing you to make a decision by saying: "This is an opportunity of a lifetime, it's either NOW, or NEVER". Simply respond with: "Never". I can bet you they will come back with that same opportunity a few months down the road because it magically re-appeared. So take your time.

We all feel we can miss out on the greatest opportunity ever if we don't jump on it immediately. It is possible, I am not denying it. Just look at the few who originally started working with Facebook CEO, Zuckerburg, and decided to go a different route and now regrets to have missed out on billions of dollars and early retirement. No one could have known that Facebook would succeed at the rate it did. Mark was and is still very passionate for what he does and he proved it with phenomenal success. It is all based on the personality. If you meet someone who is ambitious, go-getter, energetic, ethical (at least most of the time), eager to succeed, determined, ferocious, not afraid of failing, focused, detailed oriented, and offers you some kind of opportunity to be part of, I would say, if only you feel comfortable, to go for it and see what happens. You just need to feel if it's the right time for you to embark in that endeavor. If you never try, you will never know and lack of knowledge can be detrimental to your success. It is based on a feeling and that feeling should come at the right time in YOUR life and not of others.

Why Your Skills Are Put to the Test in Any Achievement

Everyone has something they want to achieve in life. Do you just dream about it without taking action to attain it? Do you know the steps it takes?

Many people who want to and become high achievers almost always accomplish what they set out to do. This is because they stay true to their passion for life. Things they are not passionate about never become their focus. They don't waste their time on those things. High achievers know that to attain their goals and to overcome any setback they may encounter they have to stick to what they are passionate about.

High achievers also understand that finding what they are passionate about takes time but they have the patience to try different things until they find out what it is. When they find that one thing that excites them, find that one thing they would do for free, find that one thing they look forward to getting out of bed everyday to do, then they know they have found their passion.

People that are high achievers don't procrastinate. They don't wait until tomorrow to do what can be done today. If a productive thought comes to them they will take immediate action on it. This is what sets them apart. High achievers will always seek help. They do not think they know everything. They will embrace mentoring, they will embrace the intelligence of others, and they realize doing this doesn't make them weak. They realize what they are strong at and what they are weak at. They will use everything at their disposal to improve and achieve.

Individuals that are high achievers use their passion to pursue happiness and fulfillment. Their passion brings a sense of fulfillment and this allows them to live a happy and content life. Many people set goals, but pursuing fulfillment is more important than pursuing goals when it comes to your happiness. High achievers realize how important it is to have positive thoughts. They are able to keep a positive mindset in the midst of negative situations. They are very good at keeping their mind in control and they are proud of it.

Lastly high achievers don't give up. They expect the unexpected and they prepare for it. They realize that obstacles and setbacks will come and their preparation helps them to remain focused. They keep their eyes on the prize. This is the difference between dreaming and achieving. Are you ready now to become a high achiever? If so read below and contact me.

Five Ways to Be Ahead of Time

One of the greatest assets in life is time, one of the greatest delusions in life is still time and one of the greatest illusions in life is time.

The world is regulated by time, as far as life on Earth is concerned, it is timed, and every aspect of living is timed. The different categories of timing represent the diverse stages of life. In reality, time regulates seasons, seasons influence trends and trends regulate people. Thus everyone in life is either a time setter or a time checker.

Time setters are able to position themselves ahead of the time by following principles that propel them beyond the present time while time checkers follow time and are bound by the shackles of trends.

However, there are principles to follow if you desire to be ahead of time, below are five vital ones:

1) BE VISIONARY:
What do you see? Vision is not the presence of sight, but the presence of inner sight or what you call INSIGHT. What you see for your life affects what you expect from your life and how you move in your life. Seeing beyond the present moment, gives you a glimpse of what the future can be and ultimately gives you the advantage to prepare for it. Vision propels you to move ahead of the present season and positions you ahead of the crowd.

2) PLAN.
In advancing in life, the place of planning can never be overemphasized. You have envisioned the times ahead, then take one more step to plan your way to it. Ask crucial questions, meet strategic people, obtain the required skills and synchronize your life around your plan of the vision. Ask yourself, what does it take to get to my vision, how can I get there, where should I start, who do I need, how long will it take me to get to my vision. Be deliberate to get the right answers because they unfold your plan for the vision.

3) BE PASSIONATE.
Passion is a fuel to purposeful living. One distinguishing factor in life is the passion we live it with. Passion keeps you moving even in the most harsh conditions. When you lose passion for living, you have lost life itself. Develop passion For the plan of your vision, and see the self limiting obstacles crumble in your face.

All through history, you will discover that the most outstanding people are the most passionate ones. These are men and women who are zealous of what they are doing, and they are not apologetic about their obsessions.

4) FORM A HABIT.
To be ahead of the crowd, form vision sustaining habits. Be deliberate in cultivating habits that will naturally bring you closer to your vision. When you absorb great habits into your lifestyle, you automatically program your mind on what is important to you. One thing about habits are that they are hard to cultivate, and even harder to break. Consistency with these vision oriented habits gives you an edge over those that do not have them and places you on the right track for vision actualization.

5) PRAY
Vision, plan, passion and habit are nothing without the hand of God. Prayer still remains the master key to unlocking the future. When you pray and Access God, your vision crystallizes in your spirit and you start living it out in the now. Hearing from God is an acid test to the success of every vision. Moreover, visions are birthed in the place of prayer, and prayer, brings God into every vision, plan, passion and habit. Don't make praying your last option, rather the first. Prayer simplifies complicated matters and builds your faith, which is crucial in vision actualization, especially the big ones. Therefore, the bigger the vision, the more praying is involved.

Finally, understand that life is in seasons, but you can change the season by influencing the time through these principles.

DON'T JUST WATCH TIME...
SET YOUR DESTINY TIME...

The Most Important Question to Always Ask: Does It Help Me Achieve My Goals?

Why do so many people not get what they want out of life?

Why do so many people find themselves falling into jobs they don't really want? Or living places that don't make them happy? Or with lifestyles that they find stressful?

How does someone go from dreaming of being a rock star, to being locked in an office to enter data onto a spreadsheet?

Well, there are many factors. But it usually starts by not clearly defining your goals or what you want. Because until you know exactly what it is you actually want, how can you possibly expect to get it?

That means it isn't good enough to decide you want to be 'rich', you need to know what you want to do to become rich. What kind of work you enjoy, how many hours you're willing to work etc.

Likewise, if you hope to become a rock star, then you might want to think about how you actually intend to make that happen. What does being a 'rock star' entail for you and how are you going to make it happen? What would you settle for?

And when you make all these decisions, you need to ensure that this is truly what you're passionate about - that your intended goal is something that you enjoy thinking about, enjoy working on and can't wait to make a reality.

The Simple Way to Make Decisions

The reason this is all so important, is that it will then allow you to make all your future decisions that much more easily. This is going to act like your barometer and your road map, to help you to get to the end destination that you want.

Now, whenever you find yourself making a decision, the question to ask is: does it help you achieve your goals?

So for instance, if you're umming and ahing over buying an expensive piece of equipment, then the simplest way to decide if it is a good idea or not is to ask if it will help you to accomplish your goals. Likewise, if you're unsure about where to live, or whether you should take a particular job opportunity, ask whether the decision is going to take you nearer or further from your goals.

The problem with many people who aren't quite sure what they want, is that their objectives end up on a kind of back burner and that other things seem to start getting in the way.

But if you really want to achieve something amazing - if you have a dream business idea that you really want to make happen - then you need to make this your priority and you need to change the way you think about everything else.

And it shouldn't feel like a sacrifice either. Because if you really love what you're working toward then it will mean fully embracing the thing you really want to be doing anyway. You just need to find what that passion is...

The Problem With Willpower

I'm addicted to learning and recently I've been enjoying a number of writing classes. Our stories have some common themes.

First, there's an unselfish goal. Our hero can't have any personal gain from their achievement. Second, several mighty obstacles to reaching that goal appear and defeat seems imminent. Finally, an enormous sacrifice made by our hero helps them reach their goal but at a huge personal price.

It makes for a great story, but in real life it's a recipe for misery. We're biologically programmed to self-preserve, to grow, to avoid pain and seek out pleasure. And unless we're sociopaths, we also get a nice hit of feel good chemicals when we do good in the world.

While our biology tells us to seek out pleasure, our stories tell us this is selfish and hedonistic.

Scott Adams has a great book called How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big: Kind of the Story of My Life and he's got an interesting theory on selfishness. I won't spoil the book for you, but it got me thinking. Suffice it to say that he suggests you look out for your own best interests without being a jerk. And that may be a good formula.

I think it's from our stories that we get the idea that if the journey is miserable, it makes reaching the goal sweeter. There's a puritanical belief that suffering is the only path to real achievement. But that doesn't make a lot of sense.

I believe that misery is an indicator. There may be moments of boredom or discomfort along our path, but the journey we choose to take should be enjoyable most of the time, punctuated by moments of excitement and driven by passion.

You would never prepare an entire meal with spices and ingredients you loathe in hopes of having a delicious meal. Yet, we do this with our goals all of the time. College students buckle down and power their way through classes they hate so they can get a degree in a field of work they think they'll love. People plug into willpower and endure jobs they hate so they can get a promotion in hopes that job will be better. We feel we can punish ourselves into a happy and fulfilled life. That's what the stories tell us, but it's not true.

Passion and the inevitable consistency that flows from it is far more important to success than willpower. Passion carries us through those brief boring or unpleasant bits we need to do so we can get to the fun stuff. But it should be interesting and fulfilling and fun along the way.

Think about the goals you're working on. Yes, it will be exciting when you achieve them, but are you enjoying the work you're doing to reach that goal? Do you feel passionate about each step? If not, do you have the right goals? Or do your steps need adjusting?

Focus On Your Passion to Manifest Profits

What are you passionate about? What do you love to do? What inspires you daily? What if I told you that you can make money doing what you love to do? That is not just a cliché that is reality. And it is reality for many entrepreneurs. When you are passionate about something you stay focused, it excites you, and you can experience an abundance of creativity.

Being passionate about what you are doing is essential to creating a profit. But the key is to focus on your passion and not the money. Just pursue your passion and do what you feel divine guidance leading you to do and results will follow. If you just focus on the profits you can lose your passion because you are focused on the wrong thing. When you wake up every day excited about what you are doing, be committed to make a difference, and stay dedicated to your purpose, you can begin to see ideas, concepts and strategies for making more money show up in a powerful way. Your passion ignites the fuel of success.

There is no way that we should continue to do the things that don't inspire us. We should not simply do something because we are afraid to stretch our faith and believe bigger. And we should never feel like we can always follow our passion tomorrow because that probably will never happen. The best time to decide that you are going to follow your passion is right now... at this moment. You should refuse to live passion-less. Once you decide to live a passion filled life so many things in your life can change!

Feeling a Little Off? Try These Affirmations

Everyone has days when we're not feeling 100%. I get tired, or grumpy, or just irritated with stupid people/things/circumstances. And I get impatient with the things that I really want to change that haven't yet. I wonder if I'm ever going to get out of my office job... which every single day feels more like a prison. I don't feel quite so young, or invincible. Do you ever have days like that, Dear Reader?

It would be easy on those days, to stay in bed, and eat donuts...

I don't recommend it, however. That just feels too much like giving up, and it goes against every fiber in my body. Instead, I have a checklist of sorts, that I run through to guide me out of self-indulgent wallowing, and back to what I think of as "myself."

Let me digress, for just a moment, and tell you what that means to me. I think the way we view ourselves is such an essential part of the way we interact with everyone else. I see myself as a buoyant person, someone who rises to the top in any given situation. I am happy, positive... I'm passionate, and determined, and unstoppable when focused. That's how I see my "true" self.

But on my grumpy, foggy days, I'm not quite so sparkly, and I'm less focused in general. I do well when I know why things are happening. So, my first order of business on off days, is to figure out the reason(s) I might be feeling this way.

  • Did I get enough sleep?
  • Am I hungry/thirsty?
  • Is someone bothering me, and why?

Sometimes, something someone said/did or something I said/did will bother me and I'm not really sure why. Sometimes, it's because I'm not entirely sure if I've offended someone. Sometimes it's because I'm afraid I may have made a fool of myself. Sometimes, I'm irritated because I've perceived some slight or insult. And usually, unless it's pretty blatant, it'll just sit in the back of my head like a little piece of sand that is irritating without being really obvious. But if I think about it for a minute, and I realize what's bothering me, it's much easier to let that embarrassment/irritation go. That's weight I don't need to be carrying around. If it's something I know I need to apologize for, then I do it. Usually, it's a matter of sending a quick text or email, or making a call. An apology goes a long way. And if that's not really necessary, if I just need to forgive myself or forgive someone else for being inconsiderate, or rude, or just plain dumb, then I take a deep breath, and let it go. I imagine a bird flying right out of the top of my head. Give it a try, it's liberating.

Most times, the reason for the fog I'm feeling can be addressed by one or more of those questions. Next, I get to work pulling myself up by my bootstraps. Because why would I want to waste time feeling anything less than amazing? I walk myself through a series of affirmations. I love affirmations. You're the one with constant communication with yourself, that's a powerful tool!

The way you talk to yourself is a central, key part of your attitude and ultimately, your success. Now, if you've never talked to yourself intentionally, it feels a little funny at first. A little practice goes a long way!

Most of us don't even realize how we're talking to ourselves. The things we think about ourselves are a result of habit, and what we've taken from what other's say about us. But the reality is, we each have tremendous power, and it starts with how we're speaking to ourselves. If you're not intentional in what you say to yourself, it's time to take control. Here are some of my favorites.

  • I am a beautiful person. I think so many times we (especially women!) can think this and include everything but our physical bodies. Dear Reader, I believe everyone can be beautiful, physically, and spiritually. It all starts with how you feel/think about yourself. Women struggle with this sooooo much. Ladies, you are beautiful... and your men agree with me! Be brave, little piglet... go to the mirror, and find three things that are beautiful. Every morning, I wake up and I'm grateful for a beautiful body that is strong. I'm grateful for beautiful hair, and skin/teeth/nails. And I tell myself all those things are beautiful. Does everyone have to agree with me? Nope. I'm speaking to myself here... and here's the important part, I let myself believe it and feel that it's true. That's where the magic starts to happen.

  • I deserve to be happy. In fact, I deserve everything I want in life: love, happiness, success. This one gets after my habit of shame and guilt, and I can tell you, it's been a long road to actually believe that I deserve those things. But I am worthy (that is such a charged word!) of all of those things and so much more. Take a deep breath and tell yourself that one. Feel it in your roots, it feels amazing.

  • The universe is full of infinite abundance, and opportunities. There's plenty of room at the top. This one is aimed, in particular, at my competitive side. Here's the thing with competition, it teaches us that there's only room for one at the top. It teaches us that when one person succeeds, it means it's because everyone else did not. But that's a myth, Dear Reader. It's just not true. That's a limiting thought, and I don't have time for limitations. There's plenty of room for my success at the top, and that's where I'm headed.
  • Each of those is very personal. Your affirmations should be tailored to your weaknesses, and your goals. Taking that first step of taking control of the messages you're sending yourself is a huge step in the right direction. What do you do that works for pulling yourself out of a funk?

Message From the Universe: Everything Happens for a Reason

"You chose your dreams for the journeys they'd make possible, and you knew when you chose them, there would be obstacles, crises, and young souls who'd stand in your way. They exist by design. To tempt you, lure you, test you. So that you can come back, prevail, rise above, and rock on. And ultimately to convince you of your awesomeness. They're part of the plan. There've been no mistakes. All is supremely well.

These are the days, mid-adventure, that will mean the most to you.

Enjoy the journey,
The Universe"

This message is spot on to what is happening in your life's journey. When you start a new venture, you come to realization that it will NOT be easy, that you will face challenges and obstacles, jealousy and hatred, and much more that will come into the equation to make you abandon your dreams. How much of that can you handle? You know that everything you do from this day forward will require your constant attention to make things happen the way you want. The question is: How much do you want it? How passionate are you with your ideas and dreams? Are you willing to give everything you have to reach your goals? For anyone who have studied finance, it is said to not put ALL your eggs in the same basket, when it comes to investment. This is good advice, of course, making sure that if the company goes belly up, you don't follow the same demise because of other stocks in your portfolio. However, can this advice be wise when it comes to your business? If you work hard day and night, for years and years, for that ONE business, and it goes belly up, how quick are you to get up and start all over again? Is this principle based on someone's personality to overcome disappointment and depression and learn from life's lesson or any entrepreneur should actually work on many different ventures at the same time and organize themselves accordingly to attend to all ventures equally? Depending on each and everyone's mindset, some might say:"You failed in your business because you didn't put 100% attention on that ONE business and you spread yourself too thin, trying to do so much at once", while others might say: " It was definitely wise to do different thing so if one fails, you have other venture to rely on for a constant stream of revenue. You can then use money from other businesses to finance the one that requires more investment on your part for potential growth and success.

Everyone have their own personal point of view of what is the best approach, but the most important point of view is YOURS. You are the one jumping into this venture with hopes and expectations. You are the one taking the risks and if anything, you are the one aware of what is required to make this dream a great success. I agree that asking a mentor for advice is crucial to direct you in the right path, as we do not know the answers to everything. Entrepreneurs with experience giving you advice is definitely better than any bachelor, Master or even PhD degree you may ever receive. They can share with you their mistakes that NO degree can teach. These mistakes can cost millions and they were able to help you avoid making the same mistakes as they did. Depending on your situation, it is important to compare apples with apples here, so make sure you take their advice into consideration but also, that their advice is applicable to your existing situation. You need to really determine what is best for you and act upon it. Do not wait for the perfect moment as it will never come. Work on what you need to do today and always make sure to keep faith and that your thoughts are in sync with your feelings. Feel good about what you are doing, think positive about your path in life and no matter what happens, you will know that you have given your all and you can't regret anything about that.

Success Secret: The Art of Repetition (By Nigel Ikechukwu)

One afternoon, I was walking up the stairs of a 3-storey building where I lived with a friend of mine. When we got to the topmost floor, she asked me,"Nigel, how do you manage to climb up and down these stairs everyday?" "It's tiring", she added. I smiled, looked at her and said, "It's because I'm used to it and you're not".

End of story.

What's the essence of telling you that story? It's because I need you to get this point straight: "NOTHING IS TOO HARD OR DIFFICULT TO ACCOMPLISH, YOU'RE EITHER NOT USED TO IT OR YOU LACK THE PASSION FOR IT".

Back in high school days, some of my peers had this belief that math was hard and therefore, they just disliked the math teacher and never paid attention in any of his classes. The result? Few of them who were lucky escaped with E's, but most of them failed woefully.

There were also some who initially thought math was difficult, but when they tried to solve questions on their own, pay more attention to the teacher and try over and over again to solve questions, they became better and good. It then dawned on them that mathematics was easy and they got excellent results.

What am I trying to point out here? Getting to that point where something admirable becomes second nature to you is the goal. I call that point the 'elastic limit'. You subconsciously attain it by constant repetitive activity. It is then your whole system adapts to it and it becomes easy to always do it.

If you're very observant, you'd notice that very successful people in any field have one thing in common. They are always relaxed, calm and poised when they are performing.

Did they master that overnight? No! A very big No. Rather, they've invested time to repeatedly master their skills over and over again until it became an integral part of them.

Smart and driven people understand that excellence is a habit. That's why they put in effort to GET USED TO doing those things necessary to achieve the dream they're passionate about.

There's no big magic to it. Most people don't succeed because it's either they're not passionate about what they do or that they give up too easily.

Passion for whatever you choose to do is very important. It is fuel that keeps you going until you cross that 'elastic limit' threshold where it all becomes very easy. Therefore, you must be passionate about the goal you have in mind.

On a final note, some people like to ask the question:

"How long will it take?". I feel that question is for losers looking for a reason to back out or for shortcuts.

They lack that passion and dedication needed to walk the walk and that's why they want to be given a particular time when they can expect to relax and quit.

Truth is: Who's willing is willing. If you've truly made up your mind to succeed in anything and you have the strong drive for it, you'd be willing to walk the walk repeatedly for as long as it takes to attain the goal you have in mind.

This can be applied to achieve success in any area of life ranging from your career, relationships, lifestyle, habits, character and much more.

Till next time,

How to Pursue a Lifelong Legacy

The awful fact is; we can't rewind the hand of time and have alternative choices but the good news is; everyday, we can decide to do things that will impact lives long after we are gone.

A legacy is brought by making a choice to pursue what's important in life. Many of us think is about the medals and the records we set while alive, but we are wrong. The foundation of a legacy is formed by the people we transformed rather than the achievements we have acquired. Legacy is the continued positive influences over people after we are gone; awards and possessions don't have the power to do that.

We might have achieved a lot materially but if we are to build yourself a legacy for ourselves. We need to stop pursuing our own success and start touching lives.

Let's Start today...

Worth Over Success

Being successful in life is a good thing, but it isn't enough. Running after success alone will not ultimately satisfy us.

Most of the middle age is successful, but they don't feel fulfilled with their lives. Many feel they lack the accomplishment they deserve, and want to do something significant that will make more difference in their lives.

I have noticed that the current generation is more passionate about carving out a name for itself; they have known it's not all about getting jobs and thriving in personal success. We need to focus on things that matter; we need to help people by equipping and developing them to realize their full potential.

Ultimately, this will yield satisfaction and fulfillment within you.

Influence Over Rewards

It's honorable to be awarded and celebrated for your accomplishments. Trouble is, with an award you are the only recipient; its significance ends with you.

Influence, its benefit does not end with us, but starts with us. Our effort to develop and transform lives is the sure way to influence them, you will remain in their souls and your influence will be passed over other people for a long time. This is the kind of legacy that outdoes statues and streets that have been named after you.

Impact Over Earnings

It's easy and normal to make earnings our main objective in life. It's excusable because it puts food on the table and pays the bills. Consider that money will never be enough and wealth does not leave us fully satisfied after all. It's just a tool we use to keep our lives running smooth. Impact brings satisfaction, earnings bring emptiness.

As I mentioned earlier, touching and developing people is everything. Investing in someone's life adds more value to them, for they will eventually turn around and touch more people in their circles.

When we focus on developing those around us rather than our personal success, we will find fulfillment and satisfaction within ourselves. We need to plant seeds of change in the lives of others. We may not live long enough to see them thrive, but the fulfillment that we created a legacy will always stay within us.

"WE HAVE MADE AT LEAST A START IN DISCOVERING THE MEANING IN HUMAN LIFE WHEN WE PLANT SHADE TREES UNDER WHICH WE KNOW FULL WELL WE WILL NEVER SIT." Elton true blood.

We all need a Legacy, it can't be bought but pursued by making a decision to carry people with you in your walk to the hall of fame, wealth and success. Transform their lives and they will transform others too; they will sing your name even after you are long gone.

No One Said Success Would Be Easy

When it comes down to it, no one ever said success would be easy, but if anyone did, it would be a lie. In reality, there exist no shortcuts or casual paths to succeed, no matter the value or meaning of the things you want. Yet, some people still believe they can find a loophole and get a stress-free ride.
Are you determined enough to be successful even when things are terrible? Are you someone who gives up the instant you hit a wall? Or are you the one that fights and discover an opportunity to turn that obstacle into a stepping stone to success? Are you willing to crawl just to keep moving forward?

I understand that many of us become frustrated and disappointed with the working world. As you grow up, it is an enormous disenchantment to realize that most of what you are taught by your relatives or peers about success is not the real facts.

You learn that you should just work hard at whatever job you get, and you can succeed. But when you are working hard at a position where you build someone else's dream instead of yours, or your boss does not appreciate your efforts, you are getting no satisfaction or fulfillment.

I am not trying to push you to get a business on your own but to find a better avenue for your future. If you desire to be successful, then you have to begin preparing your mind to realize that success is not going to be an easy stroll through the park.

The Peaks and Valleys of Success
First, success comes with loving what you do. And like any admiring, it often means being passionate and persistent to accomplish your dreams. Set-backs, barriers, and failures will always be a part of any success and victory. You need to know it is all of those peaks and valleys that make success so rewarding and prodigious.

"Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm." - Winston Churchill
In second, be attentive to your mindset because sometimes, it can become the main obstacle to your success. Your mind may come to tell you that you are not able to reach the goals you have set for yourself. And it especially happens when you stand in the midst of times of trouble.

The Tangible Term of Success
The moment that defines success is when you realize what type of warrior you really are. There is more to success than what meets the eye. Understand it is not only working hard because if it were, but millions of people around the world would also be much more successful than they are now.

Are you working for someone else? If yes, think about the investment of time and energy you are giving to someone else's dream. You are building their vision, not yours. Of course, the definition of success is different for each of us. So, be aware of what your extraordinary efforts can get you in the long run.

If you do not obtain some benefits from driving your energy into your job, then it is time to reflect. Success should not be to exhaust yourself if all that investment on your part does not translate into some tangible achievement. It is non-sense to donate every waking moment to your job if you still get a miserable raise at the end.

The Ingredients of Success
The ingredients you always need to have for the journey to success are many but let sum up to the most important ones. These components can take you further than any other qualities. You need the power that no matter what, you keep going and conquer any obstacles in your way.

"If you're going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill
Ingredient of Success - Persistence
When you can put your mind to something and are willing to do whatever it takes, success can only follow. But you need a lot of patience, put in tons of time and often adjust your strategy to get there.

It is where you have to apply the "10 times rule," from a great entrepreneur of our time, which is to expect ten times more than what you initially thought or calculated.

Ingredient of Success - Process
The process is a part of success. You cannot dwell on each setback or failure along with your journey, as they are merely stepping-stones to make you move forward and avoid the same mistake. Try to see them as lessons that shape who you are as you go.

Ingredient of Success - Fearlessness
Stop asking for easy ways or shortcuts, and break your belief that every successful people were born that way. The reality is that every successful person is fearless and ambitious. Fearlessness and boldness are components you should get more interested in.

Ingredient of Success - Courage
At times, moments of setback, loss, failure, and concern will come along the way. So when they do, make an effort to nourish your courage rather than fueling your fears. Parts of your journey to success will be hellish and challenging, but there is the only thing that makes it worse, and it is giving up.

Ingredient of Success - Vision
To be successful in everything you do and in life, you will need to have the vision to see it through. It means that you might have to battle, run, walk, and even crawl before you can fly. But if you have the drive and the willpower, not only will you win, but you will achieve success.

No one said success was going to be easy, but it is not impossible if you have the right mindset and understand, imagine, accept and overcome the challenges along your path to victory.

The Magic Ingredient of Success
Forget the good fortune of coming from a wealthy family, or having an excellent education in school as an element for success but instead realize that believing in yourself is the magic ingredient for it. Self-belief associated with sheer determination is what success and fulfillment are made of.

"Champions keep playing the game until they get it right." - Billie Jean King
So, if you want to become a champion in your life, in anything you undertake or in your calling, keep moving forward. Learn to keep playing the game until you win, no matter what adversities you face. It is the only way you will ever achieve success!

Success Is Not Easy
Now, you can see that there is more to success than just hard work. And remember that if you decide to be an entrepreneur, you will likely become a leader. So the qualities to inspire others, as well as your determination and belief in what you are doing, will be the critical elements to your personal growth and success.

Remember also another important point! There will be days where your actions will be big ones, while other days, even doing your best will bring only very little. My advice is to keep moving forward with persistence until you reach success.

You are the captain of your ship called life, so you decide which way to sail. And if, on your journey to success, you have to battle, run, walk or even crawl, make sure that you care about what impact you make on others. So keep moving forward, and success will follow.
