Lifelong Struggles of Great People

"Life is temporary, but the struggle is permanent". The struggle is defined as a continuous process of growth and experience in future curiosity, where the end result is not necessarily be in your favor. May be a person who has struggled throughout his life may die a miserable death because eventually happy endings are only in movies. Struggle makes you strong and keeps you running through the phases (Present, past, future) of life. What are real struggles? Are they different from normal people? What makes them different from others? Indeed, they are different. Soldiers fighting at the borders are real Heros. They all have 3 things in common, i.e. Unity, Faith and discipline. These three attributes become part of their nature. People get impressed by their uniform, protocol, grace, etc., but I think the most impressive thing in their nature is that equal level of respect they show for each other. From a soldier to a general of Army staff, each one shows an equal level of respect for all. They all spend their lives serving the nation. In the battlefield, each one of them tries hard to be among those who experience martyrdom. During trainings, they don't meet their families for months. They are not allowed to attend family events. They are always ready to fight against the enemies of their country. They all are strongly connected to gather by one major purpose of life, i.e. to serve the country.

All cancer patients around the globe are real fighters. They die every day before the death arrives. Their whole life revolves around a fear of losing this world. Their eyes wait to see the angel of death. Their hopes, dreams, expectations, love, and hate; all their emotions and thoughts disappear at once. You watch the dying; you let them die because death is stronger than us. It waits for no one.

All orphans around the globe are real fighters. It is very difficult to face the bloody challenges of life without the support of your parents. Kids who lose their parents at a very young age are not mentally strong. Their whole concept of home gets shattered at a very young age. When they grow up, they seem like broken souls mimicking adult's life. They struggle throughout their life knowing the fact that they have got no one's back.

The struggle is never easy. Human beings are designed in a way that they want quick results, but struggle demands patience. Lucky are those who get the reward of their continuous struggle.

The Purpose of Life - Can We Change Our Destiny

Can the purpose of a life, which has been set before incarnation, be changed during that life?

For example can you change your life plan to achieve a greater purpose by helping more people?

You are continuously changing your life by your actions. We each come in with a plan that has been determined before birth, a destiny we have each decided with the help of our guides and angels while we were in the presence of the tree of life.

We also discuss all the different possible outcomes and paths we may take once we incarnate, nothing is written in stone, it can and will be changed once we enter the physical body.

The changes in direction is determined not only by what we do, but also by what others around us do or accomplish. There are always many alternate paths we can take, some of which is determined as to how much we change our vibration once in physical form.

We can get so wrapped up in the issues of earthly life that we lower our vibrations and begin attraction those souls of a lower life form and we sink lower in evolution.

Likewise, if we suddenly wake up and realize what we are doing and once again follow our predetermined path, our vibrations will once again raise and consequently the universe will once again assist us in accomplishing our higher good.

Occasionally, especially as we grow older, we may have doubts as to whether we are following our life plan, and many times we believe we should be doing more. This is the time to look back to contemplate what kind of life we have led so far. In life one step normally follows another and if we have led a rather normal life with not much fanfare, that is probably the kind of life we will continue to lead, not everyone who learns will be teaching thousands, many times we lead a quiet life so as to enable us to learn deep meaningful lessons without the interruptions of a high profile life.

Sometimes this can be harder than being in the limelight, especially if we learn we have led influential lives in the past. All souls need lifetimes of rest, one doesn't need to do it all.

Many times we need to stand back and let others lead.

It is a normal tendency to share with others what we learn, if that is God's Will the opportunity will present itself, if it doesn't don't fret over it, just go on with life.

Many times, the learning is a personal event and it doesn't need to be shared with others. That is part of the learning.

I have traversed the globe in search of truth, my truth, during which time I have had an opportunity to study with Aborigine elders, native American Indians, and some of the world's finest intuitives. All of this has lead me to better understand our world and all things therein contained.

Mystery and Purpose

If I had to choose any subject to freely express my views on; it would have to be the mystery and purpose of life. I feel too many people at a certain point in time feel as if life boils down to what their net worth is. Grant it, having a substantial amount of income and savings does make living this tedious life much easier, but finances could never really solve the mystery or figure out the purpose of life.

Mysteries have a way of solving themselves if you leave them alone and continue with business as usual. When it comes to the mystery of life it's a very similar process. To some people a mystery is a problem or a difficult situation; a conundrum if you will. But I view it as the complete opposite. It is merely an unknown, which doesn't make it bad or good just UNKNOWN! Unlike society these days, the least amount of time should be spent on the problem (unknown) and more on the solution. The solution in this case, would be to master the God given ability inside of you. I'm sure you've heard the expression, "experience is the best teacher". This is the perfect time for that quote. Obviously the only way to get better at anything is repetition. Doing something repeatedly gives you experience. Experience teaches you to correct and prevent mistakes and possibly innovative ways to approach your abilities and present it to others.

Let's say as a young child an adult saw that you were a natural born public speaker and wanted to help you master that God given ability. The faith behind the solution of the mystery, problem or the unknown would be putting the time into this ability not knowing the outcome but believing that this ability that was so carefully placed inside will fill a void like nothing else imaginable ever could. The mystery, it would seem, takes moments to solve. The exciting part is seeing where this newly discovered purpose takes you in this life.

It's no mystery but a fact that the world we live in is ruled by money. The 2nd best part of this article though, is to realize that all of your God given talents abilities and gifts can and should be monetized. People pay huge amounts of cash for something organic. Something directly from the heart of you! By all means, after or while you're mastering those abilities see how you can market them. I guarantee somebody needs what God has placed inside of you.

What Are YOU Attracting in Your Life? Connecting New Age, Metaphysics and Quantum Physics

"God does not play dice with the Universe." ~ Albert Einstein

In an earlier article, I discussed how the philosophy of, 'we become what we attract' dates back thousands of years. That what you tell yourself becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy through the power of "I am" statements. And that most people are unaware that they continually attract exactly what they do not want through negative statements like "I think I'm getting sick," or "I'm too fat, too old, etc."

New Age thought often connects self-empowerment with Universal energies. Books like The Law of Attraction and The Secret are based on this philosophy of what you put out comes back to you. But to go beyond New Age thought we need to go into Metaphysics that can be explained through quantum physics.

Metaphysics is derived from the Greek word Meta meaning "beyond" or "after," and physics pertaining to the physical. Initially meaning beyond the physical, today it encompasses theories and explanations for phenomena not often explained by the physical sciences. Metaphysics can involve theories of the origins of the Universe, consciousness, the purpose of life, universal laws, and Karma. It can attempt to answer questions that the physical sciences cannot. Metaphysics attempts to explain phenomenon that traditional science does not attempt to explain. Concepts such as psychic phenomenon, telepathy, ESP, Out-of-Body Experiences, Near Death Experiences, Reincarnation and the spirit dimension science usually dismisses through "lack of evidence." However, quantum physics does in fact explain such Metaphysical phenomenon.

The field of quantum physics began in the early 1900's. It is a set of principles that describe the behavior of subatomic particles. Quantum theory provides accurate descriptions for many previously unexplained phenomena such as black body radiation and stable electron orbits. In the development of quantum theory, physicist Max Planck (1858-1947), considered the founder of quantum theory, proposed that energy waves could be described as consisting of small packets or quanta. Albert Einstein (1879-1955) further postulated that an electromagnetic wave such as light was composed of particles called photons. This led to a theory of unity between subatomic particles and electromagnetic waves called wave-particle duality in which particles and waves were neither one nor the other, but had properties of both. Quantum mechanics led to the development of the transistor, electron microscope, magnetic resonance imaging, the laser and semiconductors.

An interesting discovery of quantum physics is that of nonlocality, the phenomenon that when two particles interact, they continue to influence each other and transfer information between them instantly, no matter how distantly separated they become. They can be separated by inches, feet, or millions of miles, and the transfer of information is immediate, indicating instant communication. This transfer of information is not bound by the laws of the physical universe, such as traveling at the speed of light (186,282.4 miles per second). It is believed this nonlocal transfer of information operates in an unseen reality, one that connects all physical events with the universe.

Using theories in quantum physics, we can explain how Metaphysical principles such as energy healing, clairvoyance, and consciousness existing outside the body all function:

Light is composed of electromagnetic energy that has properties of both particles and waves.

These subatomic particles can transfer information as well and are not bound by properties of space or time.

Human thought/consciousness produces energy similar to that of light-energy with the same properties; consciousness is not bound by space and time.

Consciousness/thought is composed of energy that can affect matter near or far.

Science is now explaining how energy can leave the body and affect its surroundings, be it near or far (energy particles are nonlocal). Quantum physics is explaining how energy is composed of matter and can leave the body, affecting various energy layers around it. Science is now explaining what sages, mystics, and religious leaders have professed for thousands of years, that energy travels in

waves and can affect the physical world. Our consciousness is energy that can affect our lives by attracting other energy to it. When we project negative energy outward through self-debilitating thoughts and statements, that energy returns to us. As does positive and uplifting energies that will return better health, happiness and prosperity! It is all based in science!

Quantum physics also supports that our consciousness does not die when the physical body does. Our consciousness is energy that continues on when the body does not. What has been observed during NDE's and in past life regressions (reincarnation) is being explained by the "science' of quantum physics.

The science of quantum physics now explains that our consciousness is energy that can affect our lives, as in New Age thought and that our consciousness is universal energy that can transcend space, time and dimensions as in Metaphysical principles of karma, reincarnation, psychic phenomenon and connecting with those Universal energies. What you are attracting is based on science! What do you want to attract?

Love Yourself and the World Will Love You Back (By Joseph Dabon)

I love... ME!

That may sound funny or narcissistic. But I am serious. I love ME and so must you.

That is not bluster. I do love myself so I take care of my physical and mental well-being. I get enough sleep at night, exercise regularly and keep close watch of my weight.

I don't follow a strict diet, though, but I practice moderation. My diet is typically Asian, sparse on meat, plenty of vegetables and fruits.

I give my mental muscles a daily workout equivalent to an hour of pumping irons in the gym.

Despite the above, not is everything is cozy between I and me. There are days when the spirit is willing but the body is weak. I am sure you experience the same episodes, too.

It is called psychological incompatibility.

Psychological incompatibility and self-love:

What no one tells you about is that psychological incompatibility is not only among couples. It can be experienced by live-alone seniors, too.

In fact, seniors are more prone to it because of loneliness, financial insecurity and medical problems - the three most common concerns of the elderly.

Any of them can stress self-love. They can make you irritable, tense of stress out.

They can make you despondent, discouraged, disappointed, and disgusted with yourself.

Financial insecurity, for example, limits your choices to what you can afford. It limits your socialization, your choice of food, entertainment and many other things you would have wanted to enjoy but couldn't.

These age-related issues make self-love doubtful, if not impossible to achieve. They render you helpless and incapable of making the right decisions, of doing something fruitful and enjoyable; they keep you from enjoying your retirement.

Another stumbling block to self-love is loneliness. For a live-alone senior, it is my constant companion. It consumes you, makes you feel lazy and without purpose.

Loneliness, if unchecked, can cause serious medical problems like melancholia, depression, and dementia. It can even make you entertain thought of suicide.

Self-love is not optional:

Love is the overarching purpose of life - of self and others. Loving others is impossible without loving self. Too much love of self creates self-centeredness which is as bad as not loving self.

Louise Hay, an American motivational speaker and author posited the idea of self-laugh by saying,

"When people start to love themselves more each day, it's amazing how their lives get better. They feel better. They get the jobs they want. They have the money they need. Their relationships either improve, or the negative ones dissolve and new ones begin."

Loving yourself requires careful evaluation of your core beliefs and values; of knowing who and what you are. It also requires the willingness to change for the better.

Doing that is easy through these simple steps...

1. Accept yourself unconditionally:

Some people profess to love themselves only after having achieved an imagined goal, i.e. health, wealth, good looks, marry the woman of his dreams or build his dream house.

It won't work because they may not happen or something comes in the way that alters the course of events of your life.

Accepting yourself outright removes its conditionality. It lifts a heavy load off your chest; makes you more optimistic about everything around you.

It gives you a clearer idea of where you are and where you want to go and a better understanding and acceptance of the difficulties up ahead.

You become self-aware and appreciate your values as a person.

2. Take the journey alone:

You are responsible for the choices you make, no one else. If you screw up don't blame others for the mess you are in.

More often than not, we blame so many things for our misfortunes, i.e., our up-bringing, our circumstances, the people around us, our looks and many other things. We even blame the stars we were born under.

Not owning up mistakes will just make you miserable, bitter and pessimistic. It will stop you from giving it another go for fear of failing again.

Nobody ever succeeded the first time around. Everybody has experienced the bitter taste of failure and defeat.

Those who love themselves just brushed off their butts each time they fell, got up and continued the race. They believe they can take anything life throws at them and win. And they do.

Those who don't are the losers and will continue to lose until they come to grips with the ugly reality that their misfortunes are their own doing.

3. Start loving yourself now:

"You may delay, but time will not, and lost time will never be found again." - Benjamin Franklin

If you want to start loving yourself, start now, not tomorrow, next day or next week.

Time waits for no man and you could never imagine your lost opportunities by not taking yourself seriously now.

Starting now, make this your mantra, "I love... Me."

As crazy as it seems you could never make anything with your life if you don't. Conversely, the world is your limit if you do.

Self-love is a choice by default. Meaning, you could never have it any other way if you want to live a happy, healthy and successful life.

Expect Life to Be Hard and It Gets Easier

The easiest way of making life easier is to redefine what we presently think is hard.

If we think something is hard we won't enjoy that thing, unless we see the purpose or benefit in doing or enduring the hard thing.

If we expect life to be easy, we're soon disappointed. Expecting life to be easy is the commonest insanity. But, where we anticipate life to be tough, life is suddenly made much easier because our expectations are right-sized to reality. For life is easy for nobody.

Yet reality is an authentic friend to all who ply courage and humility; who love truth.

Life is tough, always has been, always will be. But when we accept life is tough, it gets easier.

Surely a purpose of life is to endure hardship better so we're able to experience more joy. The opportunity we all have is to recalibrate how we perceive difficulty. The more prepared we are for a range of difficulty, the more resilient we will in fact be.

Recalibrating our perception of difficulty has got to be about faith, even for the irreligious.

Faith has this direct benefit. It trusts that enduring hardship makes us stronger, more resilient, mature persons. There's a payoff for our sacrifice of endurance. When we believe something good compensates us for enduring something hard, our actual experience of life is made easier, because we see the purpose.

We can do anything if we see the purpose and agree it's worthwhile. And in faith there is purpose in enduring misfortune well... to struggle well.

That's faith. It trusts that enduring adversity is good, for it knows that there's no other sane option. And when faith is vindicated, we redeem what goodness and growth would not be ours otherwise.

When immersed in the sea of difficulty we either sink or swim. Because there's no point in sinking we choose to swim.

Why You Should Not Compare Yourself to Someone Else

Don't Compare Yourself With Anyone In This World.. If You Do So, You Are Insulting Yourself - Bill Gates

It is true we are not alone in this world. There are billions of people living around us, some of which is our familiar and rest is strangers. It's also a fact that we cannot live on our own, we need to keep pace with people's lives. Competition and win have become the purpose of life. You want to lead the world and to beat your competitors to prove yourself ahead of all. Well, it's a good thing because you get success in this spirit. Until then, it's good as long as you have achieved success.

But take heed, the spirit is not the only cause of success. Luck, Environment, Resource, and Experience also count, and in all these things we have no control. Hence neither you should compare yourself to someone else nor need to feel pain after losing. God has sent us for different purposes with distinct destiny, talent, strength, resource and nature.

You cannot compare yourself to others but can take inspiration. We all have different journey so it's worthless to compare.

Here's a little story that shows why we should not compare ourselves to anyone else:

Tom and Harry are good friends who both study in the same class. Tom is blessed with a big family whereas Harry is an orphan. One side Harry lives alone and need to handle all responsibility besides studies and on the other side, Tom is free from all responsibility and need to only focus on his studies. In a day of 24 hours, Tom is just focus on studies and that's why he earns better marks than Harry, but Harry also has to take care of things like maintenance of the house, financial management, food, personal life and so many things plus studies.

Tom is blessed with an affection of his family, love, support, and he's mentally free, but, unfortunately, Harry is unlucky in these cases. One day Harry tries to just focus on studies by leaving all other work and he succeeds. Harry gets more marks than Tom in the examination. He achieves this milestone but still feels unhappy because he was hungry of his parent's love and support not marks. He could earn good marks because it is up to the spirit, but cannot find the love of his parents because it is up to the destiny.

Do you think Harry should compare with his friend Tom in terms of love from the parents? Absolutely not! Well, this is just an example for understanding why it is wrong to compare yourself to someone else. Anything can happen in the future because somewhere life is based on your luck. But you must remember to not compare yourself to anyone else. Never!

What Are YOU Attracting in Your Life? Connecting New Age, Metaphysics and Quantum Physics

Caged Hassles & Imprisoned Fears

Our inner being is a sort of vessel, crammed with immense power to grapple with the stumbling blocks that come our way, while we walk through the boulevard called life. Each one of us bump into hurdles and that is the way life is. If you get everything you desire, where is the thrill of experiencing life in an intriguing manner?

Stress and anxiety are, indeed, a part and parcel of our existence. But, one should find out ways to revel in the lighter facet of one's lifetime, as the famous saying by Elbert Hubbard unfolds - "Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive."

Ever tried clutching a briefcase for long? After a couple of hours you will feel piercing pain in your arms. Same is the case with your stressful problems. If you latch on to them for too long, they will produce discomfort and incapacitate our being. Consequently, they will bring your other significant tasks to a halt.

Constant stress can deter your well-being. Therefore, without much ado, you need to settle on a solution to your tribulations, so that they don't immobilize you. Always remember, you can take pleasure in life only if you are relieved of your troubles, which lead to persistent stress and worries.

Mulling over the state of affairs, one becomes conscious of the fact that if one does not hold any feelings of pessimism, irritation, anger, antipathy, envy and wickedness towards any other person or thing, half of the problems are turned to dust. Instead, impregnate yourself with the warmth of love, friendliness, easiness, compassion, acceptance, patience and positivity; which will lead to boundless ecstasy and peace of mind.

Ever wondered why we are born on this planet, why some things are the way they are? What is the purpose of life? Such questions are best left unanswered because if we are distressed over such pre-ordained things, over which we cannot exercise our control, we shall be weighed down with worry, anguish and countless apprehensions. We won't, then, be able to witness a glimmer of contentment in our lives.

Every time you come across a stressful situation, always stop to consider the worst case scenario. If needed, be ready to accept the worst and while keeping your calm, try manifold ways improve it. What is more, feel no compunction over the times that have gone by and flake out the jitters of the times that are yet to pop in. Remember, half of the things that you fret over, do not even come to pass.

Try to brush off certain trivial things in life so that you can pour all your energy into more significant episodes of your daily grind. Put a stop to the practice of convincing others of your perspective, thereby expending your pot of energy needlessly. Listen and accept others' viewpoints. Explore the unknown facets of life, make efforts to accomplish what you desire and next, stop thinking about the end result. If you've done good, you'll receive good. Be open to all kinds of possibilities, since clinging to one will displease you, in case it doesn't occur.

So, bottle up your hassles and allay your fears. Moreover, remember to:

* Overcome your obstacles with a calm bent of mind
* Don't stick to a problem for too long.
* Try laughing at yourself
* Accept the inescapable
* Don't expect much from others
* Share your feelings, opinions, ideas with people
* Stay optimistic and cheerful
* Spend time with yourself
* Practice meditation
* Be thankful for what you have got

The Purpose Of Human Life, Even For Perceived Failures

I think this world may be something like a maze and we are the rats in the maze. What we need to do is find our way out of the maze and sometimes we get a little tired of hitting dead ends and that's what puts us in a state of depression or frustration or simply not wanting to live.

The concept I have for the purpose of life is that we have to find a way out of the maze and that maze is of course the thoughts and emotions we feel based on all the wrong turns that we made in the maze during our life.

If we can actually find a way out of the maze, that will change everything, and that to me is the whole purpose of our existence. To find our way out of this maze is not just for our own sake, but the sake of all the other rats in the maze called humans.

I think that depression is when we see life as all about 'me' but when I remove myself from the story, and if I become irrelevant, and my life is just to get out of the maze for the sake of every rat on the planet so we can all find our way out, then it makes life worth living.

Maybe it is like the 100th monkey effect. When enough monkeys solve a puzzle, all of a sudden all the other monkeys can do it also.

Now the question is, what happens when all the rats get out of the maze, or even if only a few get out. Will that mean the experiment is over? Then what happens?

There are many ancient sayings; 'As above, so below." or 'The microcosm in the macrocosm'. 'The child will emulate the parent.' The Sufi say; 'He who knows himself knows God.' There are many such sayings all telling us that basically, to know our creator, whatever you perceive that to be, we only need to deeply understand ourself. And we do run rats through mazes to learn many scientific discoveries, so why wouldn't our creator be doing that as well?

If this is true, we are presented with a very complex next question which is, each person is so different from Hitler to Gandhi, so how could I know God by knowing me? I as an individual am so limited and God must be unlimited.

A possible answer to this is that each individual is far more complex than the limitations of the ego personality that we currently live. That is to say, you may be evil but you have good in you, and likewise, no matter how good you are, you have evil potential in you as well.

Thus we can conclude that if enough humans or rats can solve the maze by accepting whatever they are as the individual and devoting their life to change, hopefully we will just work on change for the better and not become criminals, but for the bad to become more good, and in that conversion we actually progress through the maze, and finding our way out, can lead others through. Then when enough of us little rats make it through, the experiment ends.

If this is what our life on this rock floating in space is all about, then no matter how bad a person is, they play a vital part in the liberation of all humanity. In fact, the ones who have been so called bad may play a greater part of more value in their reformation as they will have a wider and more varied amount of experience to help overcome the pitfalls and traps of the maze, helping others to avoid the quicksand and open manholes.
