The Nostalgia and Its Impact

Some words or sentences are associated pleasantly or melancholy with individuals reminding their attachment to events and people. Nostalgia is associated with a yearning for the past; Its personalities, and events, especially the "good old days" or a "warm childhood." The past events' profoundness attached to an individual's life reverberate subconsciously invigorating his soul to reflect upon the events. What has transpired or conspired between sub-conscious and conscious state of mind is interesting to prod. I am interested in exploring its scientific, psychological and deceptive aspect rather than political tool and medical condition.

If we reflect upon nostalgia, it leads to different moods and it also stimulus personality characteristic benefiting those who experience it. Different school of thoughts, debate its impact, both positive and negative on individuals. The most important aspect of its positive impact is the existential meaning in one's life. Routledge and colleagues found that nostalgia can not only create meaning, but also buffer threats to meaning by breaking the connection between a lack of meaning and one's well-being. They subsequently concluded that nostalgic people have greater perceived meaning, search for meaningless, and can better buffer existential threat. (Routledge is a British multinational publisher, specializes in providing academic books, journals, & online resources in the fields of humanities.)

One study explains nostalgia as psychological growth; this aspect particularly reflects upon themselves as growth-oriented people. Hollywood remembers Baldwin & Landau an Oscar-winning legacy, has found that nostalgia leads people to rate themselves higher on items like, "I am the kind of person who embraces unfamiliar people, events, and places." Nostalgia also increased interest in growth-related behavior.

The other aspect of nostalgia is as a deception. One recent study critiques the idea of nostalgia, which in some forms can become a defense mechanism by which people avoid the historical facts. This study looked at the different portrayals of apartheid in South Africa and argued that nostalgia appears as two ways 'restorative nostalgia' a wish to return to that past, and 'reflective nostalgia' which is more critically aware.

Apart from the above aspects of nostalgia, a romantic variation is of no exception. In fact, it is a charm encompassed in a subtle yet opaque fading memory of love and affection. This romantic variance is captivated by its very existence. The parting of love and reading of love letters catapults a person's imagination in the wilderness of beauty and satisfaction.

In a 2014 study conducted by Routledge, he and a team observed that the more people reported having major disruptions and uncertainties in their lives, the more they nostalgically longed for the past. Routledge suggests that by invoking the idea of an idealized past, politicians can provoke the social and cultural anxieties and uncertainties that make nostalgia, especially, attractive - and effective - as a tool of political persuasion.

The above factors have unequivocally established that sentimental attachments played a dominant role in nostalgia. However, the heart and mind combined has effectively invoke positive impact rather than negative repercussions. Nostalgic feelings have pronounced effect on women than in men, compared. This is the reason a woman needs a man's shoulder to cry upon and ease their burden. This weakness in women becomes their weak link and they get carried away by men's sleazy intentions (A sizable majority of men take advantage).

Differentiating and integrating the variances of nostalgia irrespective of gender bias has its own importance. It conspicuously shows its telltale effects on individuals in their lives. The benefits are a pleasant memory and charm within the feelings which makes a person happy and provide relief to them. An Urdu couplet depicts a touchy and captivating feeling which will be remembered for years to come and it goes like this:

"Hoped I to meet my love she met in the path in such a way,

My gaze I yearn anxiously, she lowered her glance and walked unnoticed."

Dare To Take Risks

Risks refer to the negative aspect of that uncertainty - the possibility that something harmful may or may not occur. A risk is present in everything we do. The things that might go wrong are called project risks, and a wise project manager identifies them early at the beginning of the project so that he or she can do something about them.

It could take a lot of time to put together an alternative risk management strategy or take action to deal with the risk, so it's often a better use of your resources to do nothing for small risks. Sometimes the actions will be broadly the same; sometimes you'll have to have some tasks to reduce the chance that the risk happens and some separate tasks to make the impact of the risk smaller if it happens.

But what if the risk has a positive impact? Exploitation is the risk management strategy to use in these situations. However, you decide to approach risk, make sure that you log the action plan in your risk log and keep it up to date with the latest progress towards managing your risks

Overcoming risks may not be easy, but it's possible when you ask God to battle for you; every complex challenge, there exists a definite solution. If you can dream it, you can make it a reality. You must see challenges as virtues of opportunities for personal development. You will then have the strength to overcome the challenge.

Replace the word can't with a can. Know that you can, believe that you can, and know with ALL of your heart that you will. True success is accepting what you have to offer rather than for what you cannot do. Don't settle for your human capacity. Live up to your God-given potential. When you anticipate adversity, you can then plan for adversity. Adversity only makes us stronger. Every adversity we overcome makes our spirit and soul grow tougher.

Don't run from your weakness, you will only give it strength. Before your reach your destination, you'll find yourself going through the wilderness. While in the wilderness, your faith will be tried and tested. You'll become humble. Your vision for your life will get clearer. You're in training for your purpose. Usually, the first step is the most difficult one to take. All resistances and old habits must be eliminated. Deep within you, there must be a determination to overcome your obstacles.

Don't worry. Walk on. Continue on your journey. Soon, you'll be approaching the mountain. Get ready to climb! What matters about risks is what one does with them. You become limitless when you overcome what holds you back.

All successful people learn to navigate diverse personalities. So don't lose hopes after failure, try other ways and you'll reach there.Don't be a victim of circumstances but be victorious.Everything meaningful encounters resistance, don't get scared of whatever comes your way, just go with the right strategy and plan, there you'll overcome it at last.If the willingness is there, you can graciously fulfill your dream.

A risk is, by nature, scary. It's uncertain and unpredictable. You're heading off into uncharted territory. When it comes to risk-taking, this can result in a life that's flat and lackluster. Life doesn't come with guarantees. But it's better to try and fail rather than not try at all.

Do something about it while you still have the chance. It's not what you did that you regret the most, it's what you didn't do. So, be bold and face the risks in climbing the ladder of success!

How Motivated People Grow

Motivated & Unmotivated Individuals

It is not at all uncommon to hear people complain about their job as being boring or as if they are stuck in a rut. These individuals go about the daily routine just going through the motions, often disliking their job and not feeling very good about themselves, their abilities or their potential.

The opposite type of individual is someone who is personally motivated. These people look at a job for its potential and they strive to learn as much as possible, experience as much as they can and develop as many skills as possible to the fullest extent. They see their job as a stepping stone and not a final destination.

The Difference

The exciting thing about people is that the first type of employee, the unmotivated complainer, can change to become a motivated individual. This all starts by setting small goals and seeing those goals provide a positive impact on your life.

Motivation of this type, which is internal and personal, is very powerful in creating the opportunities to grow. By tasking yourself with a series of growth challenges, you will find ways to become better at your job or to develop the skill set needed to find the job you have always wanted.

Getting Started with Growth

The first thing that anyone that wants to use motivation to grow has to do is to develop a roadmap for their life. It should include both personal and professional goals. These goals represent the things you want to do, not the things you feel obligated to do.

Write these things down as your final goals. Then, look for small mini-goals you can set to help you to achieve the big goal. For example, if you wanted to learn to speak another language, you first need to find a class, sign up for the class, attend the classes and so on. Clearly define each step in your goal, setting a timeline to accomplish each mini-goal. This type of strategizing can make the difference between growing substantially and not growing at all.

As you work through the mini-goals, you will find your level of motivation increases. You will start experiencing a change in the way you see your situation, with opportunities to expand your growth in different areas of life. You will also strengthen your will power which will help you create motivational habits that turn into long-term success.

The Definitive Habits For Success

To live an abundant life, you should know that there are some definitive habits for success which you could use. These habits are a shared trait I see among the most successful people and are as much of a formula as they are an outcome. While some are simple, others require discipline and persistence.
But what is a habit and how can it be described? What are these influential behaviors from the successful? And how could you learn them so you can make them your own?

A habit is something you do over and over, through repetition, until it becomes unconsciously part of who you are and how others look at you. When you develop particular habits that are quite crucial, it always has a positive impact on your life, personal and professional.

Therefore, this set of definitive habits can affect the amount of success you can have. One of these behaviors is all about being aware of your thoughts. It may sound corny, but it is a real fact. Your thoughts are powerful. People who are continually successful are always mindful of what they are thinking, regardless of their circumstances.

Success seems hard to attain, but it is not if you are ready to make an effort to replace certain habits with better ones. The shift in your conduct will begin to change you as you adopt these definitive habits in your life. You will think more profoundly and objectively while being on your way to success. You will start to understand that taking risks or failing is part of the process to get where you want.

"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly." - Robert F. Kennedy
Be Mindful of Fixed Habits
While definitive habits help increase your rate of success, some of the fixed conduct you might have can deteriorate your path to prosperity. For example, common knowledge dictates that to make money, you need to squirrel it away in a bank while waiting for it to grow. That approach drastically reduces your chances of ever being successful someday if you do not invest it in some way.

There are also destructive habits which refer to using credit to consume, spending on vices, having addictions, and buying products or services that do not add value to your life. These behaviors do not offer you any definitive benefits and are rather a financial waste.

Productive habits are those that make or generate you money, can improve your overall well-being, educate you, make you grow and be a better person. The smartest way to build definitive habits is to cultivate them in place of fixed ones, just like a garden which, in turn, makes success blossom.

The Definitive Habits and their Effective Benefits
However, the benefits of practicing the definitive habits of the 'successful' might not always be the answer to solve all of your problems, but it will give you the strength to face them and find the solution.

Making Better Decisions
Each of us has preconceived notions fixed and wired into our minds, and they often cause us to make incorrect and inappropriate decisions. Sometimes, it is not easy to decide or to stay away from something we prefer.

Yet, healthy, confident and definitive habits can help you to develop more refined views as a result of self-discipline. These behaviors can help you see and think more objectively about your circumstances. So, you can make better decisions.

Being More Productive
At times, there is some confusion in our minds. We spend time being busy or doing unnecessary things, and it is because we do not often have appropriate lucidity. But with these fruitful and definitive habits, it provides you with a better judgment as to what is significant and enables you to filter out what is left.

Once filtered, it is easier to work on what is more essential, and you become more productive. It means that you can identify tasks which are important to you and outsource the ones that are simple and boring to someone else who will turn them into something advantageous for you. This way, everything can be more productive.

The Definitive Habits and their Positive Influence
The positive effect of successful people's definitive habits makes you more enjoyable to be around and also happier. The reason being is that the purpose of any success in life is to be able to touch and affect others positively.

Practicing these successful behaviors gives you the ability to be able to help yourself your loved ones and others in need as it makes you more compassionate. In turn, it provides you with a positive influence over most. When you start incorporating these definitive habits in your life, and people see the positive impact it has brought you, they may begin embracing these behaviors also.

The Power of These Absolute Habits
The power of these ultimate habits for success does not only make an impact in your professional life but in your personal life as well. It helps you grow and develop into a great warrior and achieve what you want. These practices influence every single aspect of your life and will direct you on the road to success.

We could all use a bit of sunshine in our lives. But as I said it earlier, these definitive habits all start with being more your thoughts to make sure that they are optimistic and productive. It is imperative to block any negativity from entering your mind. You have to repeat habits that will make you successful and happy. So what are those successful habits?

"Successful people are simply those with successful habits." - Brian Tracy
The Definitive Habits for Success
The seven definitive habits listed below are the ones you should start integrating into your life and practicing. It does not matter what your incentive is; you have to begin. It is the only way you will ever achieve the success you are looking for.

1. The Definitive Habit of Listening
You need to listen to the positives, negatives, and unusual people in a room. Learn to listen for the nuggets of data as well as some answers to the essential questions. The habit of listening is like a muscle; it needs to be intentionally applied.

2. The Definitive Habit of Taking Action
Success is also an action, not just a thought. It is indispensable that you reflect on the ideal outcome, but nothing can be realized without you taking action.

3. The Definitive Habit of Practicing Mindfulness
Take time to reflect on things daily. And try to regulate your emotions by talking with those who support you. Exercise, meditate, watch something positive, or read.

4. The Definitive Habit of Going beyond Expectations
It is one the most crucial ways to create trust, form and build relationships, and make or win deals. Going beyond expectations can be a simple thing such as self-discipline by showing up five or ten minutes early. The definitive habit is to make sure you always go beyond the expectation you fixed.

5. The Definitive Habit of Asking Questions
When you ask questions, you gain a bigger understanding of the vision or discussion. You have to ask the right questions which helps find a solution to dialogue. Always stop for a moment and ask questions before jumping to conclusions or think of an instant answer. You get a better and more successful result.

6. The Definitive Habit of Following Intuition
Your mind offers information and evidence while your heart provides understanding and feelings. Learn to listen to your heart to follow natural choices and spread acts of compassion. It is a powerful weapon and a definitive habit to have.

7. The Definitive Habit of Giving
When you give, you get back. Paying it forward or giving to others provides you with things that you cannot get by winning. If you make it a particular habit to teach what you know and train others, you achieve, in fact, more mastery over the knowledge you share.

Now, use these behaviors to your advantage. Know that it will push and force you to outline your definition of being successful and develop habits to accomplish it. So, make an effort and slowly add these definitive habits in your daily life, and you will reap their benefits on the road to success.

The 6 C's for Entrepreneurial Success

Entrepreneurship is a demanding profession. Once you get involved in a business you own a stake in, most of what you do will ultimately have a reflection on your self-image and long-term reputation. Successful entrepreneurs learn how to figure out ways to make a positive impact on the world around them.
Having started over 10 companies and innovating within each, I have identified the six critical factors, or the six C's, that when considered can significantly increase the odds of success.

1. Courage

Courage is the foundation of entrepreneurship. Without courage there is no start and no surmounting of the many obstacles that will undoubtedly surface in the early days of a new venture. Courage is also required to make the key and tough decisions about what strategic direction to take, what team members to hire and who to fire. It's all about making the tough decisions at the right time.

2. Conviction

Without conviction you can't muster the energy required to relentlessly work towards your mission, energize those around you and form the type of culture you want to build. These priorities probably will not shift much, as they are at the core of your purpose and belief system.
It is important to realize that to achieve your goals, you must test hypotheses frequently and modify your strategy. To navigate effectively, rely on evidence, listen intently and adjust. Avoid the common failure of entrepreneurs taking the wrong path and ignoring all signals by denying facts and staying the course of their initial misconceived conviction.

3. Capabilities

As an entrepreneur, you must have vision, but how can you carry it out it to win the hearts of customers and beat your competitors? Execution is all about having the right capabilities and that’s strongly correlated to the team you assemble and your modus operandi. There is nothing more important then having the right people, creating the right environment and constantly building the right capabilities by developing people and establishing processes and systems to support execution. Also make sure you've got all the required organizational capabilities between you and your senior management team. Any weak link can have an adverse impact on execution.

4. Collaboration

Effective collaboration is one of the most difficult principles to implement. It is akin to team sports. It requires that you have the right players, in the right position, seamlessly coordinating with other team members to achieve the intended results. To win, a team must be carefully selected, spend time training and helpful feedback should be provided to members in the spirit of driving continuous improvements. It's the same in business.  Entrepreneurs need to provide high velocity feedback and build the right processes to maximize collaboration.

5. Capital

A lot of ventures fail not because the idea behind them is not viable but because the company did not have enough cash to continue finding its way in the market place. Too much capital can make management prone to recklessness and lead to poor decisions and overspending in unnecessary areas and too little can impact the team’s execution capabilities and decrease the odds of competing effectively. What is certain is that most ventures underestimate the amount of capital they require because their projections always end up being too optimistic. Stay focused on how to raise or generate enough capital to build a sustainable business.

6. Consciousness

Entrepreneurs need to be extremely sensitive about where they are today, what they've learned from the past and have a clear vision about what their next best step should be going into the future. They also need to be conscious about the obstacles they are facing now, anticipate the next likely challenges ahead and understand the associated risks with each. Proper planning, reflecting and pre-empting is the best way to increase the odds of success.
