Success Is Loving What You Are Doing

Success is not the product of an accident. It is a collaborative effort of hard work, perseverance, learning, sacrifice and loving what you are doing. So, we need to have an aim in life, acquire more knowledge, work hard, and persevere to realize our endeavors in life.

Perseverance refers to the hard work that we do after we get tired of doing the hard work we already did. It is our ability to keep on, moving on, even when our efforts are not met. It is our ability that can make a difference. It comes from being committed to our goals, and from believing in ourselves.

Our success often springs from our ability to refocus to our goal over and over and to give it one more try, and then another,until such time that it leads to success. Our perseverance makes us trustworthy in the eyes of other people because they know we won't quit when an obstacle comes along. It increases our sense of self-worth to take full responsibility of our actions to achieve our goals.

Our commitment heightens our motivation to go on what we have started. It comes from being committed to our goal, and from believing in ourselves and in our goal's potentials. It takes strength from our resilience and optimism to move forward despite the obstacles we encountered.

When we love what we are doing and we persevere when we encounter problems along the way; then, that's what define our success. There's no denying that perseverance is really essential in realizing our dreams, visions and aspirations we want to achieve for ourselves.

Developing the perseverance to hold fast and shift back on track provides the greatest support in fulfilling whatever it might be that we desire to accomplish. It makes the physical journey more enjoyable and less strenuous even if the road is not always that smooth.

We need to define our goals for achieving success in any endeavor. Know and accept that there will be obstacles and setbacks; then prepare for them. Nothing important was every accomplished without adversity, setbacks and difficulties to contend with along the way.

We need to know and accept that there will always be obstacles and setbacks. What's important is to surpass adversity, setbacks and difficulties with a positive mindset. No one can stop us to reach our goals if we anticipate beforehand the potential challenges that we meet through the course of our journey.

We should always have a contingency plan so that when things went wrong, it won't break us because we know that if one approach doesn't work, we still have other options on how to reach on top especially when we really love what we are doing.

Before you start to work on a project, try to imagine how you will feel both as you work on it and when it is completed. Imagine being engaged with it, and feeling the harmony, fulfillment, mastery or pride that will come with it.

Thinking About Money

In my journey healing PTSD, with its varying symptoms, I have been listening to the voices inside me, and I realised how much of my thought process is around my provision. Worrying about making money, do I have enough money, will I have enough money.

You could say I had a right to think like that, we all do, it's a fact of life. My father's parents died when he was in his early 20s, so he had to provide for himself, so working hard and working your way up was how you made sure you had enough money.

I do the accounts for my son's business and when I relax about my money, I start to worry about his money, to the point of having OCD where I check his bank account app on my phone multiple times a day to see what transactions have occurred.

Relationship To Money

I really allowed myself to feel into this worry and realised my relationship with money is exhausting me, it's part of believing that if I keep on top of things, I will be OK.

My father had a saying that I knew so very well as a child. - "I know men in the ranks, who are going to stay in the ranks. Why? I'll tell you why. Simply because they haven't the ability to get things done."

So I always felt I had to better myself. No time to read a novel when I could be reading a book for my business.

Wrong Way Around

I asked myself, so what if it's not my hard work that allows me opportunities? What if it's the letting go when I switch off at the end of the day that allows abundance to flow in?

What if I had the cycle of work and income all wrong?

What would it feel like to take my hands off the steering wheel and Let Go and Let God?

Source of Supply

In the 1980s when I had a young family, I had this attitude of letting go and letting God as my source of supply, but I was in a relationship where we were in partnership handling our money. I felt more support. I could play around with surrendering, because I felt I had him for back up.

Then in my next relationship I was in charge of managing the money and there wasn't a partnership in the financial decisions. So I had a lot more fear of lack of provision.

Now I am on my own and I provide for myself so if I surrender, I'm mindful that it's just me. Who is there to do the hard work? What if I let go and it all turns to chaos? Isn't letting go and letting God like handing it over to thin air?

Life is so much easier when you have money than not, but what if money was never my security all along?

What if it was the surrendering at the end of my work day that opened me to the flow for my sense of security.

Tight Grip

From the time I reached working age in my teens, I have been in situations where I endured abuse and terrible humiliation for a pay cheque. I believed I had to put up with it, because money was my source, my survival. I was taught to do what it takes to keep your job.

So, I ended up with hypervigilance around money, if I keep on it I will never have to experience such powerlessness, abuse, or poverty ever again.

Letting Go

So in allowing myself more space, allowing my body to spend more time relaxing to switch on the parasympathetic nervous system, it's bought up my fear of what will happen if I don't keep on it, don't keep pursuing my need to get more done, to create more, to make more, to be more.

Impression Management

Our culture's values are such that if you aren't being more, then there's something wrong. We receive messages that maybe we need to heal procrastination, or maybe we have a fear of success?

Most of the photos people post on Facebook are about what they are doing. They may post the highlight of their day, but they aren't taking a photo of themselves doing the dishes, or napping. We can often feel lacking in comparison to other people's apparent busyness and success.

Stress

I'm relaxing into healing high blood pressure, (notice I didn't say working?) and in The Biogenealogy Sourcebook it says that a core issue can be an injustice around a fluid, which can also be money.

What if my obsession about having enough money (which can also transpose to food) is about never having to experience such powerlessness or humiliation around money ever again, that I keep on top of it so it doesn't get away on me. I'm never out of my depth again.

The Power of the Small

When you're always pursuing money as the source of your security, then you don't have time to do things that may actually be the key to your financial success.

I saw a quote today by Kurt Vonnegut *Enjoy the little things, because one day you may look back and realise they were the big things*.

What if taking time out in your day, to breathe, was the little thing that makes all the difference?

What if lying down and resting is taking charge of your finances?

What would it feel like for you to hand over your finances to a Divine Power?

What It Takes To Be A Success In Life



If you ponder about what it takes to be a success in life, you have to realize certain uneasy aspects of what it is. You got to step out of your comfort zone. Have persistence and determination. Be broke for a while. Lose some friends. Have some sleepless nights. But most people simply do not get it.
So, what does it takes to be successful? Why is it so scary for many people? What can you do to keep going when things get tough? How can you persevere to be a success in life?

Success is not a straight line, and the only way to it is crooked. It is going down in the valley and then back up over a mountain. Most successful people have failed more times than you ever even tried. You should not wait for the stars to realign, you have to reach up and rearrange them the way you want. In this way, you create your constellation.

But there is only one slight difference between what it takes to be a success or a failure, and that is that you cannot stop believing in any way. No matter what anybody says, or tells you, you have to know beyond what is humanly possible.

You have to believe in your mind that you can. Do not allow anyone, even family, friends, acquaintances, teachers, or whoever it is to tell you that what you are dreaming for yourself and your family is not possible.

Anything is possible if you do not stop having faith that you can be a success. You have to plant your seed, water it, and accept it as true, even before it happens. Success requires hard work, persistence, and determination but other things come into account also. Here is some of the stuff it takes to be a success.

To Be a Success - Persistence and Determination
Persistence and Determination are a great combination to be successful. Persistence is an incredible quality which allows you to continue doing something or trying to do something, even though it is hard or opposed by other people. Determination is never giving up, especially in your own mind.

How true this is but not simple! So, a part of what it takes to be a success in life is definitely determination and persistence! If you are persistent, you open the door to many more possibilities and have a deeper appreciation for all of the things in life, especially the little things.

If you do not begin or do it, nothing is then possible. Most people do not even try, sadly, and many just try then stop or give up. Very few people try and try over and over, do again and again, and never give up. But those are the people that ultimately succeed and win.

To Be a Success - Hard Work
The bridge between reality and a dream is hard work. No ideas work unless you dare to do the job. Ideas without execution are simply disillusions. You can have the best concepts in the world, yet you have to understand that your ideas and the way it supposes to happen are not the only approaches in which it can occur.

To be a success, you have to stop making excuses and focus on making it happen. You have to focus on one thing, one area at the time. Put all of your energy in watering one area because if you spread the water across many seeds, you do not have as much water for one seed.

So, when you have mastered that one seed; you can then move on to the next one. If you believe in your dream enough or in what you are trying to accomplish, then you can see it. You have to foster the belief in what you are dreaming, put in the work so that it may become a reality. The way to the top and to be a success is through persistence, intelligence and hard work.


To Be a Success - Words Become Reality
Many of us are where we are based on upon what we believe. And it is not what you believe on the surface, but deep down in your subconscious that is holding you back from moving into the life, you feel you deserve. Your unconscious is running a tape through your mind telling yourself you are not good enough, not worthy, not smart, which is an audiotape that is playing for too many people.

If you are not conscious of that, then you end up acting out of this belief system and not out of what you know to be the truth. You are, in part, where you are today because of what you have been saying about yourself.

Words are like seeds. When you speak something out, you give life to what you are saying. And if you continue to say negative words, it can eventually become your reality. You are planting seeds when you talk, and at some point, you are going to eat that fruit. To be a success, you have to plant the right seeds. You are going to reap fruits from the exact grains you have been sowing.

In other words, you cannot talk negative, expect to live a positive life and be successful. You cannot talk defeat and expect victory. And you cannot talk of lack, not enough, cannot afford it, or never get ahead and expect to have abundance.

To Be a Success - Actions and Change
To be a success, you rather have to prophesy good things and wins about yourself. Then your life will move in the direction of your thoughts and words. Too many people go around and prophecy just the opposite. Things such as "I never get any good breaks in life," "business is slow," "I probably get laid off," "Flu season is here, I will get it."

Most people do not realize that they are predicting defeat. It is just like they are calling negativity in.

You have to act the other way around and believe that good things are already yours, and act as if they already are. This way, you can draw this to yourself while you are working towards it.

This way your actions are in alignment with what you say and think. The actions and choices you have previously made are created because of what you believe to be true for yourself. When you want to be a success, you have to act and change the way you think. You have the right to be great. Be different. Stand out. Change your destiny. And quit talking that it will not happen.

To Be a Success - Willpower
It is not enough to think you can be a success; you have to declare it out loud. Do it in front of a mirror. You have to speak out your future. Those words, repeated over and over, will get deep down inside of you. They will not only change your outlook but also change who you are.

Yes, life is hard at times, but you have no option. Handling the tragedies of life is difficult. It is hard when you put all of your efforts into something, and it does not work. Misfortunes happen to all of us, but when it happens, the real question is what are you going to do with it? Ask yourself the resources that you need to be a success and how to make it happen.

You have to fight back, one inch at a time. There will be many sleepless nights, but you will get to the next level if you keep moving. You have the choice to either give up or keep going. If you fail and still want to be a success, try again.

To Be a Success - Self-Education and Sleepless Nights
You have to read books instead of getting frivolous things. Material things come and go, but knowledge and experience are indestructible. You have to work on yourself and fill your mind with what you need to be a success. All people fail, even the most successful, so forget about your past and make the rest of your life the best of your life.

Most people read a lot of books on how to become successful, but writers tend to leave out the dark parts and rarely put them in the books. So, when others tell you that you will never amount to anything, just keep grinding. Do not stop hustling because these people are waiting for the time when they can say: "I told you so."

Do not let life tear you down. Do not spend so much time comparing yourself to others. Do not try to be in somebody else's life. Instead, do your own thing. Keep going and believe you can be a success. It will bring you where you want to be. Have confidence in what you do. So be relentless.

To Be a Success - Friends' Loss and Help
Remember that anytime you walk into a room, know that you are special. You have to know that you mean something to this world. Sometimes, the outcomes are not always what you desire them to be but real failure in life is not trying at all.

You are the master of your fate. And it is very likely that you will lose friends along your journey to be a success, but they will be replaced by value and quality rather than quantity. The path to success is the definition you have of it. Real success is what makes you happy, but you have to be willing to work for it.

But realize that to be a success, you cannot do it alone. You have to ask for help. Most successful people will help you by giving advice, principles to live by, solutions and not money. Some might not step up and help you but others will. But know your worth and let no one put you down. And do not assume but ask.

And yes, to be a success, people will laugh, try to talk you out of your dreams, or turn their back on you. They will not understand what you are trying to achieve, and a lot of people will not be ready for it. But let me remind to continue to dream. It does not matter where you start at, or who tells you what or who you can or cannot be, I believe in you.

The Power of Your Mind: Use Your Mind to Reach Your Goals


Do you truly know the power of your mind?

If you decide that something is true in your life, how does that affect you and the outcome of your actions? Are you reaching your goals on a regular basis? Before I discuss the power of your mind I wanted to share my inspiration for this post. The 2016 Olympics.

Do the Olympians believe they can do it? Of course they do! As I was watching some of the Olympic trials I was intrigued by how the athletes that were selected to go the Olympics would answer the interview questions after an event. The one common thread I heard was the belief that they could win and that they worked so hard to get to the Olympics. Some of these athletes shared how they have been dreaming (visualizing) themselves at the Olympics since they were children. I know that all of those athletes worked long and hard for their success. How did these athletes make it to the finals to be considered contenders for the Olympics? In addition to the hard work, I know there are many theories about the genetics, training, nutrition and coaching, but I truly believe that even after all those external factors their mindset and belief that they can win is a huge factor in their success. These elite athletes who are in peak physical shape have to keep motivated everyday in order to train for hours, they must forego all the trappings of life as a young adult so they can reach their goals. If they can reach their goals, so can we, but we must begin by starting with the belief that we can.

People often ask me why work on their thoughts, feelings, and subconscious mind. They would rather just take action and see what happens. My answer usually goes to the explaining the Placebo effect. In clinical trials there has to be a group of people that are given the equivalent of a sugar pill and told they are given the drug, and some of the participants improve their condition. How does that happen? That is the power of their mind. The placebo effect and the Olympic athletes are great indicators of the power of your mind. So what do you want to accomplish? What has been in your way of succeeding? What is stopping you from reaching your goals?

The answer is you and your mind. How do you change your mindset? What can you do to finally reach your goals?

Just look up and see how many stars, planets and galaxies we have in our Universe and you will find your answer. Sometimes, when we deal with challenges that life throws at us, we are left hanging and wondering what did we do to deserve all this crap happening in our life. We work hard, smart, and we focus too much on material assets to determine our level of success. I am not sure if it is coincidence or not, but if you attribute numbers to all letter of the alphabets, you will be astounded by the cumulative points each of these words has. Let's look at it this way. If:

So, if my calculations are correct: K+N+O+W+L+E+D+G+E=96%

But read this: A+T+T+I+T+U+D+E=100%. So if you have the right attitude in life, you are giving yourself 100% of your energy and faith in everything you do. With the right attitude, you can accomplish anything you want. Despite the challenges you will face, never let your positive attitude change and keep on moving forward. Look at it like a bungee cord ride at an amusement park. You sit in one of these pods, you are locked in, and then what happens? The machine pulls back the pod to propel you higher and higher than before. Again, the machine PULLS YOU BACKWARD to create that momentum so you can reach the highest summits. So when you feel like nothing is working, even though you put in the hard work and attitude, life prepares you for what summit you will reach sooner than later. You are preparing yourself to reach another level that you would never imagine yourself reaching. You are setting yourself up to another level of success that you couldn't fathom. So without pulling backward on that bungee cord, the pod couldn't be catapulted to the summit.

We all want to see great results in our lives after investing time and hard work. It is not solely based on your level of knowledge that will guarantee success, but with the right attitude and belief, nothing can break your moral and no matter what happens, you will always see light at the end of the dark tunnel. You need to keep on moving forward, no matter what life throws at you. I know how annoying all this can be but by learning how to focus on what's really important to you and not on what money can bring to you, life will unravel in front of you and you will experience fortune and glory as time goes by. Just have some faith.

Pains & Pleasures Make Our Life Meaningful


Life on our planet consists of many twins like Day and Night, Good and Bad, Birth and Death, Pains and Pleasures, etc. Lazy and easy-going people prefer pleasures forgetting the truth 'Pleasures are impossible without pains.' Nobody remembers the good work of road builders, when taking a smooth drive down the highways.

Pains are the feelings of discomfort that a person experiences internally. The pains of one person cannot be felt and explained by another like the taste of a chocolate which can be understood by anybody. Moreover, the intensity of pain varies depending on the physical strength and will power of the individual. Pain is also known as strain, tiredness, fatigue, and failure.

Pains are caused by the hard-work, Insults, Injuries, Illness and Loss of near and dear ones. They can be grouped into physical and mental types. A truck driver develops the body strain after a long trip whereas a scientist after a hectic research in the lab feels the stress or depression. Sometimes, a mix of mental and physical sufferings is possible when a person applies all the energies. A surgical operation is a good example for this. Sacrifice is the only pain that produces pleasures to all.

Pains should not to be shared with others, but to be suffered alone without expressing outwardly. Because they cause inconvenience to other people through loss of time, strain, and money. The best thing of pains is that they remind the humans to be careful and not casual in their life.

Pleasures make our life rosy and happy. A small candy brings smile to a weeping kid. They become memorable when shared with others. However, most of us wish to share the problems and pains only enjoy the happiness privately. Sex is the only pleasure that culminates into a strain during pregnancy and a horrible pain during the birth.

The Excesses are risky. Too much of pain and failure upset the spirit of life itself. Chronic illness frustrates any person. Likewise, excessive pleasure makes us blind and to behave abnormally. However, Life gets charm if the grief and pain are alternating. No one can define the right mix of pains and pleasure because they are beyond the control of humans.

Hard work begins with pain but yields pleasure afterwards. Years of practice and learning alone bring success. Pains and pleasures are the two eyes of life. Treat them equally to seek bliss like Lord Buddha.

Just like anything in life, more you invest in yourself and your capabilities, more great results you will witness. When sacrificing pleasure for hard work in the beginning, you will experience great results. Never expect instant gratification in your everyday life. Let your work express itself to you and everyone around you. You may not see results immediately, but they will come. This is how compound interest works as well. You invest in the beginning and you let your money work for you instead of the opposite. You just need patience and a lot of it. Throughout the market, you may see some ups and downs, which is normal, because this is how life works. Do not be afraid of this roller coaster ride and it will ALWAYS arrive at destination. You just need to trust yourself enough that you will get there with pockets full of realities. In some cases, it may take time to get there, depending how big are your dreams. You see, at the beginning, when you told the Universe you wanted to be a billionaire, the Universe listened, but it also means it will take longer to help you accumulate a billion instead of just a few thousands. So if it takes you more time to get there, remember it was because YOU requested it.

Be clear with the Universe and what you want. Do not contradict your thoughts and intent. The outcome might be very disappointing to you as you will extend the time to get to where you want to be, as you will need to redefine your dreams all over again, depending on how many contradicting thoughts were allowed to enter your mind. Keep them away, focus on the good and embrace the bad. Sometimes, you will need some bad things to happen to re-evaluate and appreciate what you really have at this moment. Never like you life owes you anything, as it doesn't at all. You reap what you sow, you get what you put in. If you want great things to happen, work towards it but also look at the journey you are taking, as it can be the most incredible journey of your life.

The Price of Hard Work



Everybody wants to be famous, but nobody wants to do the task without realizing that the price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.

The road to success is not easy to navigate, but with drive and passion, it's possible. It is the real key to success. Keep your eyes on your goal and keep taking the next step towards achieving it. If you aren't sure which way to do something, do it both ways and see which works better.

Enjoy your sweat because it doesn't guarantee success, but without it you don't have a chance. I do not believe in excuses. I believe that it is the primary solution to life's problems. We all naturally want to become successful. It opens opportunities and shows the world that you are serious about being one of those peculiar human beings who use their talents at optimum level and do their very best. However, the moment we believe that success is determined by an a deep-seated level of ability as opposed to resilience, we will be vulnerable in the face of adversity.

Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them. Most of the time you will fail, but you will also occasionally succeed. Those occasional successes make it worthwhile. In a lot of ways, success is much harder than we thought it would be.You'd get there and then everything would be happily ever after. But, it's almost harder once you're successful because you've got to maintain it.

Writing is work. It takes a lot of contemplation, concentration, and sweat. People are charmed with the idea that somehow writing is easy and appears by benefit of some mystical external force. In reality, to be a writer, you have to sit down and write. It's work, and often it's hard work.

I would rather have one article a day of this sort; and these ten or twenty lines might readily represent a whole day's hard work in the way of concentrated, intense thinking and revision rather than sit and do nothing productive.

It's shown and proved that working hard pays off. So,build your goals, achieve them and replace them with new goals. Even if there were moments when we were disappointed and frustrated.

Every Flower Must Grow Through Dirt



Why every flower must grow through dirt is a gentle reminder that nothing worth having comes easy. We may look at beautiful things and successful people with envy. But if we take a deeper look, it is clear that we often forget that anything worthwhile had to struggle before rising to beauty and success.
In life, how many times did you go through an unpleasant situation? Did you ever think or ask yourself if it would ever end? Why is adversity occurring in life? What is the meaning of it all?

The message conveys that seeing a beautiful thing, successful person, or even exceptional circumstance is only the tip of the iceberg. But instead, as you look underneath the surface, you can see it was not always a bed of roses to achieve the status they now have.

And that, just like a flower growing through dirt, such things and people have chosen to fight, rise through and flourish despite the adversities. It is such a perfect reminder that remarkable things result from difficult times, struggles and hard work.

Each Flower Must Struggle 
What a great feeling to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Just like every flower must grow through dirt, you have to experience hardships, develop and blossom before reaching glory. It also shows that no one is entirely immune of living free from suffering and grief. In all of human history, every single period had its full share of chaos, despair, and misery.

While your life may take a painful turn, you might be tempted to ask why it happens to you. Even if it is a typical reaction, you should instead focus on the solution. Sometimes, it also seems to be no light through the darkness of the woods.

As a result, you feel alone, abandoned, heartbroken, yet a flower must grow through dirt and endure the middle of nowhere. You then view your troubles as misfortunes and bad luck. Pessimism begins to occupy your mind. You become impatient in trying to get an answer for your predicament. And you forget that often, patience is also required.

A Flower Must Grow Strong 
In nature, flowers that grow up in windy surroundings become stronger. As storms beat around a young flower bud, forces inside the flower head and the stem create changes. These forces stimulate the roots to grow faster and spread farther. Then, it starts to build cell structures that make the flower more flexible to the burden of the wind.

Therefore, it shows you that you learn, grow and become stronger as you face and overcome the trials which you have to go through and pass. You also know that there are times when adversity tests your limits, and you have no other choice.

On the other hand, these adversities allow you to be a better version of you. Thus, a flower must grow through dirt to blossom into something beautiful and glorious. With no adversity in life, there would be no struggles, and with no difficulties, no glory or success.

The Flower and its Adversities 
But why is adversity occurring in life? Well, at times, some of your choices produce circumstances that generate hard times. Adversities in your life can also be the cause made by the choices of other people. It can be challenging to accept and tolerate since you are not in control of the reason. Sometimes, people around you make poor choices, and you also pay the consequences.

Therefore, you feel frustrated by the circumstances you find yourself in. But since you cannot change the choices that other people make, you can only take some quiet time to think of a solution, and listen to what you feel you should do. Just like the sun strengthen the flower by helping her grow through the dirt and lift her burdens.

Out of Control Adversities and the Flower 
Why do bad things happen to any of us? Well, there are laws of physics and natural laws that the flower abides by, and so we do. There are no choices. It is all based on actions and reactions to uncontrollable situations.

As a result, the planet we live on follows these laws and it is often impossible to interfere. And though, just like every flower must grow through dirt, it does not seem logical at times, the natural order of things and its ensuing adversities are something you cannot escape.

All you can do is to work on yourself, develop, trust in the process, have patience, mature, nurture, and become an excellent example for those around you. Be like the flower that must grow through dirt so that you can reap its beauty, success, and glory.

Well, if I told you that it wouldn't be a secret now, would it? The day dreamer's version of the secret to any success in life is you put your feet up, sit back, relax, let things to just happen and the success rolls in just like a dream. We've all been day dreamers sometime or the other!

But in all seriousness, I am keen to tell you my version of what the Three Significant Secrets to Any Success in Life is. And it might not be what you all want to hear or some of you might not want to hear. That is Hard Work, the Right Education, and The Journey.

That is it. So, once you sincerely start putting the hard work and you are getting the right education, the journey is going to be a combination of so many things like finding the right people to learn from, the circle of people you surround yourself with, your everyday discipline, your level of commitment to your mission and the time that you allow every day for your mission.

Once you have made those decisions, then you can start to really focus on The Secret.

The Myth:

A lot of people think to have a goal in life and to succeed means that you have to be really intelligent, smarter than the other person or always be on the edge. That is completely not true. I will tell you this, over the years some of the role models of mine who have not presented themselves as experts in anything have achieved remarkable status in life. And I have seen others, who started their journey with excitement, have put in the work, but ended giving up ultimately.

So, if there is something that I can share from my experience is, it is very typical for people to get results only if they are persistent, no matter what. In other words, what I mean is that they show up, they take consistent action and they do the hard work. Definitely, these are the people with the right mindset, just the positive one.

I think too many people stress about the wrong things in life. Life is stressful enough and I'm sure you would agree that you don't have to be stressed unnecessarily.

When people start their journey to achieve something, they go in and they face challenges or they have a bad day. So, many people blow out of proportion. And I think this is something that we see in people all the time.

I know for sure that the secret with all the successful people is that they've always pulled themselves up and made sure that they enjoyed their journey.

The Journey:

If you are unsure about how you are going to achieve what you started in the first place? You should get educated first. That's probably the hardest part. The research of picking the right approach that suits you. But once you've done that and if you've done it right? Just enjoy the journey. This is going to be one of the biggest secrets.

I think that success in anything is the journey. It's not the destination because it never ends.

As for me? I am on a journey now just like anyone else. But I am enjoying this journey more than what I ever have done, and I am realistic with myself. I've got the right mentors, I am using the right training and I made sure that I found people that I wanted to learn from to be successful in my life.

Does this help when you've got your bills to pay? When you have a regular job to go to where you spend 10 hours a day? Of course, it does and no doubt about it.

There is nothing more enjoyable when you really think about it than learning new skills especially the skills that are going to better your life, better your family's life and improve your future.

Sometimes you just need to take a step back and be realistic with yourself. You are going to have to work hard, you are going to have to get the right education. Just make it an enjoyable journey to success. That will be my version of the secret if there are any secrets to success at all.

Maybe, just maybe, you didn't plant seeds in every fields out there. However, you definitely made sure to water these fields properly. It is not uncommon to have seeds planted in many different locations, projects, ventures to hopefully one day, these seeds will grow to something phenomenal. Nothing grows overnight, we all know that. The same goes to success, it doesn't happen that quickly. Evidently, these facts are known to many people out there, however, we all wonder how some success comes out of the blue, just because we didn't hear about their progress for the past 10 years the creator struggled to make his or her venture happen. It is not because you don't see it that it is not happening.

Some have worked very hard and have succeeded and others have worked extremely hard and have not made it at all. What is the difference between both scenarios? Belief. One believed wholeheartedly that success is near and that nothing will stop him or her to make it happen. He or she accept anything coming their way and will not be depressed if things do not work the way they expected. They will continue pushing harder until something happens. The latter feels entitled that good things HAS to happen to them but are not ready to go that extra mile and abandon ship at the first obstacle. They then get frustrated, hates everything and everyone and finally decides to travel the 9 to 5pm schedule route. They eventually hate themselves for doing so and become very irate at work towards colleagues and end up getting fired. The downward spiral continues until depression and feelings of suicide. Not sure that is the right way to start the New Year. We all deserve happiness, we all deserve success, we all deserve health and wealth, but avoid adopting the feeling of entitlement because you are not entitled to anything. Hard work is needed but is NOT guaranteed to make things happen the way you want. If it doesn't work, brush it off and start again until it does. Nothing should stop you from reaching your dreams, so failure is REQUIRED, many times over, to experience SUCCESS.

Staying Humble is Hard Work 
Humility wins over pride any time of the day. This is not to say that you can't be proud of the work that you do and the awards that you've gained along the winding road of daily-grinds. You've absolutely earned it but there is a fine line between being proud and gloating. Toe it.

In my line of work, it's impossible NOT to say great things about the products, services, and packages that I write about in glossy brochures, postcard-ready Instagram posts, and attention-grabbing websites. It's advertising. From the get-go, I need to say fantastic things (if possible, not bend truth out of its confined proportions). I need to beat the beast over the head, win people over and get them to part with their hard-earned money. There are no other ways around this... I've checked.

But that's work.

In your personal pursuits and the way you communicate with others, whether at functions, meetings or on the train, it is a better idea to be a little bit of a humble brag. People hate humble brags and it takes practice not to be an annoying one, but a few mistakes is going to polish you.

Pride speaks, Don't let Success Get to your Head 
It's not about pride or being proud, it's about having the right mindset. A mindset of being able to hit the ground running no matter the situation, the ability to see things from a beginner's point of view, and the willingness to learn from the rook-iest of people, says a lot of about how far you're going to make it into the game.

Imagine if you wake up every day with a scoreboard that reads 0-0. You've won nothing. You're starting over every morning. Despite everything that you've done in the past, all your achievements, you're starting from ground zero again. It makes you yearn for success because a relentless person is the most resourceful and productive one.

Despite having worked in the industry for well over 17 years, there are better writers, better analysts, newer ideas, more successful people, and more innovative technologies. I've said it before and I'll say it again: no one is ever THE best. There is no such thing.

Preparation means having a vision, a destination, a purpose, a goal and putting a clear action plan in place to move you in the right direction.

You don't have to be rigid about your action plan; some flexibility is often required. A few years ago, I watched the movie CASTAWAY starring Tom Hanks. The movie was about a man named Chuck Noland, a FedEx systems engineer whose ruled-by-the-clock existence abruptly ended when a harrowing plane crash left him isolated on a remote Island, struggling to survive. It took Chuck four years to realize no one was coming to rescue him. One day he decided to build a boat and take a risk to get off the Island. It was do or die time for him. He realized if he remained on that Island he would eventually die. He also knew if he tried to leave, he could risk dying at sea. He took a chance. He decided to risk his life before he remained stranded.

Many of us have been castaway to an Island that we do not want to remain on. Yet, we are too afraid to leave because we do not know if we will succeed. Maybe that Island is a dead end job, a toxic relationship, friendship or habit.

For me, it was becoming an author. For years I wrote books, poems, and short stories, then I would let them collect dust. It was only after I recovered from an illness that I decided, like Chuck Noland, it was time to get off my Island.

Maybe you have a dream you want to fulfil but everyone is telling you that you're not qualified. Maybe you want to submit a manuscript to a publisher, go back to school, or start a business, but fear of failure, rejection, and criticism are impeding you. Whatever it may be, you can do it!

Here are five steps to get started.

1. First, realize that no one is coming to rescue you. If you want to achieve anything, YOU, will have to put in the hard work. The daydream that something or someone will save you from the hard work, or rescue you from your current situation is just that-a dream. No one can get you off of your island, but you.

2. Sketch out your boat. Write down your dreams. Outline what you need to do to achieve your goals.The purpose of this is to have a vision of what it is you want to do and achieve.

3. Gather your supplies and start building your boat. Place your goals in short and long term categories. Doing so will help you not to become overwhelmed, and not take on things that may be unrealistic for now. Remember, rarely does things happen overnight. Sometimes, it's the thousands of tiny baby steps that will get you to the bigger goal. It is good to start small and conquer the short term goals. Short term goals are the things you can do now to begin pursuing your dream. If you feel clueless, do some research and get the facts. Do whatever you have to do in order to learn. Maybe you can read a book on something you are interested in. Maybe there is a class you can take. Maybe you can walk a half mile. Maybe you can write a chapter of a manuscript. Whatever, you decide- start small.

4. Continue to work on and perfect your boat. If you do not reach goals, don't give up and don't quit. Continue to revise your goals and move toward them.MOST IMPORTANTLY, lose the naysayers and find mentors and people who support you.

5. Use others success as motivation and inspiration, but never copy someone else. Copying someone else's brand is like taking a medicine that wasn't prescribe for you and expecting it to cure you. You have to follow your own authentic path and be who you are. You need to find your own voice. Being who you are is what brands you and makes you different.

The 3 Secrets of the "World-Class-Performance Code"

We oftentimes look up to those world-class performers, be it Olympic athletes, the amazing musicians, master artist, or even the top CEO's. We believe they're geniuses and that they must have something special: maybe it's their DNA that they were born with such incredible talent. And that these world-class performers just had more luck along the way to have right encouraging mentor.

Well, let me tell you this. There's no such thing as luck. It wasn't because these Einstein's, Michael Jordan's, Da Vinci's, Steve Jobs were born under more aligned stars than you were. They didn't have more "genius-DNA" in their blood. In fact, the pioneer in researching excellent performance, Anders Ericsson, discovered that "there's no such thing as genius." In this article, I want to share with you, what I call the 3 secrets to the "World-Class-Performance Code." These secrets are simple, but not easy. And actually, you already know what they are. But the secret lies not in knowing or even understanding it. The secret is in putting them into action and mastering them.

Secret 1: Daily Practice

There's only one road to success, which requires grit, hard work, dedication to make those 7,000-11,000 flight hours (as Anders Ericsson discovered). After approximately 10,000 hours over a period of 10 years of practice, you become world-class. It's simple, isn't it? By continually stretching your own boundaries, growing only as little as 1% each practice (of whatever field you're in), leads to exponential results. Notice that it's not practice, just for the sake of repetition and adding another hour to the count. The essence of daily practice is incremental improvement. Immersing your full attention, your entire body and soul into practice and reflecting honestly is the key to growth.

Let's do some math: if you'd practice daily for a year, and improve only as little as 1% in each practice. At the end of one year, you'd have improved 37x. Over a period of 2 years you've improved 1413x compared to when you started. Over a period of 10 years it's an off the chart number (of 5,9x1015).

You don't take a magic pill and become world champion in a sport, without having ever done that sport before. You don't wake up suddenly from a music illiterate and become Mozart-like-skilled. While it may seem evident in sports and music, it's same in success in business, career, health, happiness or relationships. There are no shortcuts. There's no other way than daily practice.

What's your excuse?

Secret 2: Don't go for world-class results, become world-class

In this society we worship results. Of course, those are the materialistic things that we can touch and see: the gold medal, the Oscar-award, a million-dollars. We've become results-addicts. While there's nothing inherently wrong with results, blindly focusing on the results is not the best way in achieving success. Over the long-run this may lead to burn-outs, losing friends or relationships, happiness, just to name a few.

I have an alternative: focus not on results, but on the process that delivers the results automatically - your habits. And to bring it even one step further: focus not on the results, but on the person you're becoming that naturally has those results. It may seem similar, but there's a huge difference between them.

Becoming the person that is world-class, requires you to align your actions, behaviour, beliefs and identity and constantly improve yourself daily, so that whatever you do is just an expression of who you are. The desired results will follow automatically, and will serve as a mirror of where you are on your path of growth.

So let me ask you this: who do you need to be to be to world-class?

Secret 3: Master the Basics

In martial arts newbies usually are attracted by the great martial artist performing these amazing techniques. They want to be able to do these cool moves as well. As a result, you see a lot of courageous-clumsy-wannabe-cool kicking around.

In this results-oriented, microwave-mentality society, we fail to see that high performance of these advanced techniques come from practicing the basics infinitely. The daily practice of the mundane basics is what leads to excellence. That's the way to become skilful. Not by starting off with the advanced fancy moves, and skipping the fundamental basics. A house build on loose ground without foundation, doesn't survive the first storm. But when your foundation is so deep and strong, that a skyscraper can be built upon it, this withstands the challenges of life.

2. You need to accept the fact that nothing happens without taking action on your intentions and new mindset. This involves stepping out of your comfort zone and taking some calculated and well planned out risks as all successful entrepreneurs do.

You do what you need to do to unload your previous mental baggage and plan your strategies and goals looking only at your future. This process allows you to move past any previously established conditions you might have set for yourself. The foundations for your new mindset are the result.

Every successful person understands that through the process of visualization about your goals and where they want to be in the future, they arrive at the point where you truly believe they are capable of reaching where you want to be. You believe in yourself, trust yourself, and magically understand that you are capable of doing it all.

Certain behavioral strategies cause business and money to fall back in your lap:

1. Your mental focus and behavior must be about prosperity and wealth.

You are now taking action on your plans. There are absolutely no limits to what you can create because you have unlimited options and resources right in front of you. You can now see them.

In addition, you understand that creating wealth comes from personal decisions, your own background knowledge, and actions you take, which have little to do with the state or local economy. Your abundance is a mindset that feeds your prosperity. Passion is what feeds your mindset.

What you think about every day is what drives your behavior. Others know that fact. You have to convince yourself of that.

2. Being creative propels your prosperity:

Creativeness can be learned, taught, and expanded. It's a behavior of constant vigilance for recognizing ways to improve things. You may find a different use for a product or service, use your abilities and talents in a completely different way, and see the need for a service or product that is not yet in existence.

Your conscious mind can't think of everything, every use for services or products, or ways to solve problems. But, once you start the thinking process seriously about how to accomplish something, your subconscious mind, like your bratty sister or brother, insists on getting involved in spitting out ideas.

Dr. Maxwell Maltz, author of the original book, Psycho-Cybernetics, recognized for his in-depth studies and experiences about how the mind functions, explains how the mind works. Dan S. Kennedy revised and updated the original book titled, The New Psycho-Cybernetics.

The activity called "masterminding" brings the brilliance of minds together and their thoughts shared. Sitting around a table with others discussing how to solve a problem is the most effective means of finding solutions.

Each person mentally digs into his or her memory banks, experiences, and imagination for ideas that are not the same as every other person sitting there. The benefit of ideas from multiple minds can't be overstated.

3. Negativity is a brain-eating animal that destroys ambition:

The very high probability of "negative thinking" by those around you being able to directly influence your ideas and thinking process, is well known. Such people do not understand, nor are ever able to recognize, that there is another dimension of thought that improves life, called positive thinking.

Stay away from negative thinking people who predictably will stomp on every good idea you ever have about improving your life.

Positive thinking people are constantly supportive of new ways of thinking and doing things. Being around that kind of person multiplies your energy, ambitions, and actions. That frame of mind inspires you to expose yourself to the sequence of steps leading to maximizing your true potential in life.

4. The integrity trap:

As you move up the ladder to prosperity and wealth, you will increasingly discover that those around you try to influence you to get off your chosen path. You must guard yourself from straying away from your goals and principles. Maintain your trust and belief in yourself and your ideas.

It doesn't mean you won't consider new ideas others offer you. Just don't let them become directly involved in your decisions, because they will try. Once you let them in on your decisions, you will let down your emotional barriers and expose yourself to increased stress.

It causes you to unconsciously begin depending on someone else for your success. And that "hybrid" success that happens in the wake of sharing will never be satisfactory for you.

Steve Jobs, recent CEO of Apple Computers, phrased it this way:

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma-which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition."

Make prosperity happen in your life because you've earned it:

There is such a strong tendency for you to try to make prosperity impossible for yourself to achieve by being reminded of the negative factors that we all face on this journey. You will find that these negative influences become fewer and fewer as you continue to move upwards.

Fear is the primary obstructive emotion. As your confidence increases, as it will, fear becomes less of a problem for you. The many facets of fear gang up on you at times. But, overcoming fear is something you will learn to handle, one aspect of fear at a time.

Elements of fear that most of us have to some degree:

  • Fear of failure.
  • Fear of wasting money.
  • Fear of making the wrong choices.
  • Fear of disappointing family and friends.
  • Fear of never being able to recover from failure if it happens.
  • Fear of not having enough competence to do everything.
  • Fear of not having the knowledge or training needed.
  • Fear of never reaching your ultimate goal.
  • Fear of being able to find help when you need it.
  • Fear of how to handle your success when it happens.

The stumbling block of fear is overcome by your passion to reach any realistic goal you choose. In most cases prosperity is required to get there.

Your mindset for prosperity begins with a passion to accomplish what ever is required to reach an affordability level for the lifestyle that gives you persistent satisfaction and enjoyment.

Passion is what you develop when you can visualize your affluent future in the theatre of your mind. Repeated engagement with expansion of that mental picture eventually becomes a real belief that you do have the capability of reaching that objective. Once you believe you can do it, passion takes over and drives what you do and think after that. This driving force you feel is the mindset you need for success.

Remember that this doesn't happen overnight. Be patient as you see the progress you are making, just don't force your progress.

The remarkable thing about this process is that your self-confidence increases to the point when you realize you have capabilities far beyond those you once thought you had. Everyone tends to underestimate their talents and skills. This is where your driving passion uncovers capabilities you never dreamed you had. At this juncture success is inevitable and it rises to a level you choose.
