In cerebral processing exercises demonstrated passive brain fitness, memory, concentration together with power have definitely shown to be actually essentially immediate enhancements together with additional real benefits of brainwave stimulation also includes increased blood flow to targeted areas of the human brain. More specifically, because the normal frequency ranges between 0.5 cps ranging to approximately 120 cps tha depends on the stimuli, this technology achieves a step up coming from entrainment which basically matches the frequencies together in what can simply be described as following them in a mapping of the human brain. Brain stimulation is actually different than brainwave entrainment which uses rhythmic stimuli allowing the mind to 'mimic' brainwave frequencies in preferred states of mind to achieve these different states of mind.

Human brain stimulation is certainly different considering that it presents essential frequencies for a healthy human brain using in the same frequencies that show enhancement benefits such as anxiety reduction, improved mood, intellectual performance as well as other real benefits seen with brainwave stimulation. This passive human brain fitness stimulation giving frequency ranges beneficial allowing responses coming from the human brain to those frequencies.

Different states of consciousness whether being actually wide-awake concentration intently, or whether you are definitely in a deep sleep will produce distinctly different brainwaves together with brainwave patterns. One can receive optimal effects considering that the human brain reacts to visually stunning stimuli in not only training the mind to forming new neurological pathways but in utilizing these neural pathways.

The Founder of this new Approach and Science

In this new proprietary science, Jeffrey Gignak is coming out with advancements that will benefit people worldwide. Not only is this science being utilized to enhance elevated levels of optimizing brain functioning improving mental performance quickly but in relaxation, helping achieving goals, relieving harmful stress, anxiety reduction, creative thinking, improving sleep, achieving success.

The Secret Sauce to Achieving Goals

Are You Setting Specific Effective Goals?

You can set big goals, but make sure you can then break them down into smaller 'micro' goals. Once you've set a goal, then you need to be specific so you know what steps you need to take, and work backwards to create a schedule of actions needed to succeed. Actions make the goal setting system effective.

Are Your Goals Inclusive?

Focusing on only one part of your life is something you need to consider. When goals are multifaceted, you can have an impact on all areas of your life. You will find there is synergy across multiple domains, and you can easily achieve more than one in different areas with the same actions. There is no point achieving financial goals if you are not happy. Your personal life, happiness also needs to be considered. Aim for being complete, happy, and focused. Therefore, make sure your goals are inclusive and have an impact on other areas of your life.

Is Your Action Plan Relative?

Once you create the schedule, you need to truly consider how relative it is of reality. Say your goal is to be healthy and reduce your cholesterol by 10 points in six months. This means you need to exercise and eat right. If you don't schedule in the time needed, you won't achieve this goal. It doesn't happen by luck, or magic. Think of these as 'resources'. Time is a resource. A personal trainer, nutrition coach are resources to help you achieve that goal.

Are You Learning from Your Mistakes?

Often when setting goals, instead of learning from failure, people give up. Using the example above, once you implement your schedule to reach the goals that you have set, when you notice there are things you've forgotten to take into account, don't give up. Learn from the failure and modify your schedule to be more realistic.

You will probably have to rewrite some of your goals and your schedule, and this is the whole point of goal setting. Adapt, modify where you need to. Many people believe failure is something negative, however failure is the mother of all learning. So take it on the chin, learn and adapt to be even better.

Are You Accountable and Evaluating Often?

Accountability is key. Schedules are very important to the success of reaching any goal in life. Build a 'smart' calendar of tasks and activities that get you from where you are now to your goal. Make it a daily habit, a ritual, something you do every single day. You can even develop a simple checklist to check off every day to keep you on track. Identify what's not working, modify and also keep doing things that are working well for you. You can even ramp up the intensity of whats really working well for you to achieve your goals faster.

Are Your Goals Empowering?

Use positive language, ALWAYS! When writing a goal it's important to write them in a positive sense, and in a way that empowers you. Writing down a goal and then changing the words to sound more positive to make it more empowering. For instance, "losing weight" seems like a good goal, but for some people it might signify deprivation. So instead, you might frame the goal as "Look amazing in my bikini for my summer holidays."

Do You Have Too Many Goals?

Keep it simple. Don't try to have too many goals all at once. Everyone has a personal life experience, preferences, needs and wants. If you have set goals in too many areas of life at once, you will probably become overwhelmed and stuck. Break it down, achieve, set new goals, and move on. You don't need to do everything in one day. Aim for the small wins that lead to bigger achievements.

As you break down bigger goals into 'micro' goals, you will find yourself achieving something every day. Getting your 30 minutes of exercise every day is a WIN! So keep the momentum going and make it a daily habit.

Changing your lifestyle. Achieving any goal or simply aspiring to improve in any area of your life is a process. You must apply a conscious awareness to everything you do, and how you think and feel. So before kicking off your new goal strategy, work through these questions and set the foundation for success!

Quick Guide to Setting and Achieving Goals

Goal setting is a lead to success. It designs our dream. It gives us the potentially to hone in on the precise actions we have to perform to accomplish everything we desire in life.. If you're uncertain of how to set and achieve goals for your own, you will get some tips below.

Choose One Goal

To be able to reach a goal, you need to select precisely what you truly want. To get this done, you will come up with ideas of goals you want to achieve by creating a list. But once you brainstorm lots of goals, it is vital that you select just one single goal you truly want to accomplish. If you don't prioritize and give attention to what's truly important to accomplish in your life, you'll be sidetracked by less important trivialities that life throws at you.

Write It Down

When setting a goal, you should first choose just what you want to attain. Once you've chosen your goal, write it down on a notebook. Make your goal very specific. Keep a set of goals that you would like to achieve on your PC. You can even write it down in other places like your home, your workplace, on your bedroom noisy alarms. Write it in one specific and descriptive word that you can memorize.

Visualize It

To be able to visualize a goal you should first write particular goal down in one sentence or jot down. Then simply pick up that jot point and read that sentence. Try to read that goal over and over again at least twice a day. As you read your goal again and again, reason about it and visualize it coming true. Regardless of how big your goal may be, believe that you'll be successful and reach that goal. Don't just have your mind on it, but let your emotions be involved in it. See what you'll become and feel just like that.

Develop a Habit

You need to get the time in any manner you can, to develop a daily habit to work towards your goal. This can be less than 10 minutes per day, but you have to do it every day. If you can set aside 1-2 hours each day to work towards your goal, all the better. One hint though. It's best to get started in an extremely small way with this habit, like five minutes per day. You'll develop the habit later through repetition.

Converse About It

You need to build what's called a mastermind group, and inform at least one added person about your goal. Ideally, this will be a person who might have a pastime in the goal and also contribute ideas. You can not only get help from other folks, you can also get ideas from them. So, ensure that you listen intently from what others say when you're discussing your goal with them.

The Number 1 Golden Rule To Get Yourself Highly Motivated

A great writer once said, "The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night." For this reason, I resolved to work through the challenge of being consistently motivated despite the potential setbacks and hardships I was going to endure down the road

Having goals in my life has been a matter of principle. While having and setting goals is one thing, implementing the goals and seeing to their fruition has been another. I observed that I needed to work myself out if success was going to be within reach. Besides a few other things I needed to do, I had to apply a golden rule to remain highly motivated all the time.

Always being highly motivated is central to success. Although it is not an easy undertaking, it is not impossible either, especially with the application of some very basic tenets.

At one point, for example, I went on a very stringent diet, it was all fun and exciting during the first few weeks but as the enthusiasm started to fade and the toll of the rigid diet started to set in, I knew I needed to keep myself motivated otherwise I was going to lose my entire focus and determination,of course, without applying the Golden Rule I ended up losing my motivation and going off course my long-term goal of losing weight.

The Golden rule: What it is and how it presents itself?

I need to mention first that, before I knew this principle, the more I encountered tough times and obstacles, the more my motivation levels dwindled, thus impeding more and more my ability to fulfill and accomplish goals.

Realizing this has been the foundation for me to appreciate the importance of getting highly motivated all the time, notwithstanding the fact that scientific research has consistently proved that setting out challenging but manageable goals is significant to staying focused and achieving goals. This principle often called the "Goldilocks Rule", is the Golden rule to constantly and consistently being highly motivated. The rule states that, that "our ability to stay motivated will falter when pursuing goals that are outside of an optimal range of difficulty."

To highlight this rule, let's further consider the example I gave on starting a diet. I was able to see myself loose considerable weight and achieve my set initial target in a short period. However, as the progress slowed down to reach a constant, I noticed how my motivation took a downward trend. In like manner, colleagues whose goals were to lose substantial amounts of weight often lost the drive to achieve this goal, they struggled to stay motivated just from the beginning because the task ahead seemed mammoth and outwardly impossible. The good news here is that this golden Goldilocks rule can be used in the pursuit of any goal, moreover, morals and values still remain in check while applying this golden principle.

Using this Goldilocks principle and learn how to get highly motivated

The Golden rule helped me set out a fine range of progressive and achievable goals and cut away from impossible tasks. This draws from the psychology that "humans are at their most driven phase when they assume tasks that are at the very edge of their ability, as they seek a balance between challenging themselves and making progress along their specific course."

If I am accomplishing manageable milestones that are able to make me joyful, I always have the drive for the next one. Additionally, this presents me a chance to make progressive strides and experience the development process. From the time I started deliberately measuring and celebrating each step to success and personal improvement regularly, I have been able to achieve a positive psychological function that has enabled me to boldly face and defy challenges, steadily push forward my performance and achieve my goals within time.

For me, appreciating this rule was the first and just about the most fundamental part of motivating myself and fruitfully pursuing my goals, otherwise I repetitively found myself either failing in intellectual motivation or just stand astounded by the work before me.

Sticking to this golden rule has also helped me to apply other motivational keys, the keys can equally be considered as golden because they always go in tandem with Goldilocks rule. One such key is the ability to measure and celebrate progress and individual development against an ideal.

There is ONE rule to be highly motivated, if mastered, you will be able to easily accomplish all your goals!

Conquering Stumbling Blocks to Success

On the journey to success, there are numerous considerations with progressive movement. Many of us plan, set goals, and put in the work that is hoped to lead to accomplishment. However, when that work does not lead to accomplishment, we may become frustrated; especially when we don't see the fruit of our labor. Yet, at some point, we must consider the path taken to position ourselves for success as well as the obstacles. With that being said, let's consider a few obstacles and motivators:

• Preparation

With a bountiful harvest, a seed is planted, properly fertilized, and watered. When this happens, eventually there is growth. This is also true with the law of reaping and sewing. Now, while this topic might be controversial, depending on your beliefs or values, the personal satisfaction that comes with helping others attain what we would like to attain for ourselves is a significant consideration.

"The liberal soul shall be made fat and he that watereth shall be watered himself." (Proverbs 11:24-25)

While spiritual laws with success are major considerations, reflection on everyday influences are important as well. For example, what happens when the chosen career path is based on parental preference rather than on passion or personal interest? In this case, career path may be temporary.

There are also prerequisites with roles and responsibilities for the selected career path. For example, a student is in their first semester of college and finds that it is not at all what they expected. When this happens, some students drop out and others change career paths, wasting valuable time and money.

Another consideration is economy, the job market, and its role toward achieving goals. In this regard, it's important to research careers of preference that are high in demand, as well as expected salary, before selecting a career path.

What about the people that need to be nudged out of their comfort zone; especially, among those that are cared for by parents, family, or friends? If we become enablers to our loved ones, it may impede progress. Remember, the best support will challenge us to reach our potential!

• Circle of Friends

Let's consider our circle of friends. Sometimes we align ourselves with the wrong type of people. Consider a person once thought to be a friend, only to find out they were contributing to conversations that questioned your integrity. This is not only disappointing but may create an element of stress, impede progress, or sever important connections.

Then there are times when good advice is received, but we shun the very people that are trying to help us; yet, another obstacle impeding progress. So let's consider motivators:

Have we considered personality types and how this may impact our tolerance of others?

For example, Type A personalities are competitive high achievers, having a sense of time urgency, while Type B are more relaxed and laid back. Type C are very assertive and detail-oriented, while type D are very pessimistic, having more of negative outlook on life.

Needless to say, a person with Type D personality may find difficulty tolerating Type A and Type A may find difficulty tolerating Type B. Therefore, understanding your circle of friends and how they relate to your personality type can make a huge difference with achieving higher levels of tolerance. This may also serve to help better understand your triggers of stress.

Of course, with all types of personalities, there are no guarantees that relationships developed will be in agreement with our views, opinions, or goals. Yet, it is always important to have an open mind, be an active listener, and consider opinions before making final conclusions.

"A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." (Proverbs 15:1)

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." (Ephesians 4:2)

• Network of Connections

We need to align ourselves with people that communicate positive change. Case and point, if you find yourself in a network where there are too many leaders and not enough people willing to resolve conflict or get the job done, seek an appropriate moderator. If one cannot be located, it's best to seek networks with goals more closely matched to your own.

Additionally, be cautious with networks that include groups that have similar interests while having agendas far removed from your own agenda; this can waste so much valuable time. Ensure that your connections are like-minded and that your plans lead to the same goal.

In closing, a career counselor is always a good resource for selecting your career path; however, it is also important to note where we are on our journey; especially, as it relates to obstacles and motivators with achieving success. If after careful review, obstacles are identified as impeding progress with attainment of goals, we must reposition ourselves and get back on the right track.

Consider as many variables that have direct bearing on achieving goals as possible including your faith, values, and beliefs. Write them down. Note, your personality type, identify your career path, sew into someone else's life, and continue to do the work. If at the end of the day, you find that you are still not in the place you thought you should be, consider that you may be in the place that God would have you to be based on the seeds that you have sewn and the work that you have completed.

"The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this." (2 Timothy 2: 6-7)

"For I know the plans that I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)

Success Stories and Creating A Culture of Success

Most of us strive to be successful in whatever we endeavor to attempt. Creating a culture of success in our homes, our work environments' or teams is a difficult task at best. As parents we want to help our kids to thrive and succeed in everything. As a teacher in the classroom I want to create an environment that allows every student to achieve individual success. To help them grow and improve on a daily basis. As a business professional or leader we want the environment to lead to profits build on the success of the group. As a coach we need to win to be considered successful, winning is built on the individual efforts of many for a common goal.

Thus, success is measured in many ways and for many purposes. For parents it's the light going off in your children's eyes when they make a new discovery or achieve a small mile stone, from taking their first step, doing well on an exam, scoring the winning goal or in a thousand other ways. I see creating a successful mindset for ourselves and our children as part of our reasonability as parents. There isn't a manual for parenting despite all of the books and modern tools, it is still a trial and error process. Children respond to things differently and are as individual as our finger prints, so we must adapt, adjust and strive to figure it out. Creating a home culture is an ever evolving process and we must place our children in situations they can safely learn and grow in. Despite our culture of instant gratification and everyone wins all of the time, failure is to a part of that process. Successful people embrace failure as one of the steps to success. We must nurture our children and yet help them understand that success is a process.

I read an interesting article on Clemson football Coach Dabo Sweeney and the adversity he faced as a child and young man. The ever present theme of the story was perseverance and his determination to make the best of every opportunity. Thus, he has turned a floundering program into a national powerhouse by developing a success oriented culture. By nurturing and caring for the people he's charged to oversee and motivate, from his players to his staff. The same qualities displayed by the contributing authors of my book "Success Stories Insights by African American Males." When I was a high school head football coach my biggest challenges were all of the outside influences and the historic culture of the programs I was charged to change. So many of the elements of the historic culture of the programs were hidden and lay below the surface. I was too focused on the internal elements, was a bad politician and did not address the impact of outside influences well enough. Sweeney has done that and created a culture of success.

The same problems inherent in development of a sports team permeate a business. It's a group of individuals with very diverse backgrounds that need to work together for a common goal, business success equals profits. Creating a culture of success for a business is a daunting task and leadership must provide the direction that leads to success. Creating that culture takes a focused vision that must be dynamic and purposeful.

In our schools I have often seen leadership that was focused on achieving goals related to success on the standardized test. Yet, they too often forgot that like a home individual success is the determining factor in the success of the group. They too often talked about creating a culture of success without including opportunities to adequately motivate the individual students. Many times they used artificial rewards and arbitrary collective goals. Too often they did not connect the students to alumni who had gone though the same situations and circumstances to succeed. They often did not paint the picture and vision of the world of opportunities' open to the students. Successful schools especially in urban and challenging environments' must be more diligent in connecting the students to real world success stories and people.

Different societies, nations and even the sub categories' within in those groups see success so very differently. Even within groups of people of similar backgrounds, religions, socioeconomic status and ethnic group's success can be views with different lenses. How do you define success? Is it money, fame fortune, a relationship with god, who knows but you? But one thing I do know is that success does not happen without commitment, a commitment to your family, business, mission, or team and it always includes a vision and a goal. Does your vision of success help others? Or are you looking for success in all of the wrong places and things?

3 Simple Steps to Success

Think back to your last vacation and what made it possible. It started with dreaming about the places you might go, then selecting the destination, and finally putting a plan in motion. You made reservations, booked a flight, and so on. In the days and weeks leading up to your departure, you began to experience the simmering pleasure of contemplating the joys to come.
Now compare your vacation planning experiences to your efforts to solidify your career, support your family, or secure your financial independence—concerns that will perhaps affect you as long as you live. How much thought and planning have you devoted to these and other important areas of your life? Be honest. Just like that vacation, none of these goals will be realized unless you first connect to whatever is most meaningful to you, and then lay out a sequence of short- and long-term objectives that will bring your vision to life.
The truth is that the magnitude of your success is directly correlated with setting and achieving goals. Everyone knows this truth. Yet very few follow through on it. Why is this?
Perhaps the very notion of planning sounds intimidating. But it needn’t be. It can be done in three simple steps: Dream, Declare, Do.

Step 1: Dream.

Start fresh, blank canvas. What would you like to accomplish a year, five years, or even ten from now? Envision exactly what you desire. What would you wish for? Maybe you want to learn to speak Italian, run a marathon, or just lose 20 pounds.
Dream big. Allow your imagination the freedom to play. Your dream could be something as grand as heli-skiing in the Himalayas or racing a Formula 1 car to victory at the Italian Grand Prix.
Now, dream even bigger. Dream of a future unencumbered by the past. Be willing to conceive of something that might take longer than a lifetime, something greater than you alone can manifest. Make 50 billion dollars and then give it all away. Create a foundation to bring clean water and sustainable power to every impoverished village in India.
As you begin to formulate your vision, imagine what might be possible if you were to discuss your ideas with others and find ways to collaborate. A good vision will memorialize your dreams, but a great vision inspires others to act. Such a vision not only galvanizes existing allies but emboldens stakeholders who have been waiting to show up—stakeholders whose roles support your vision, and who feel pride in their connection to it. Who knows—instead of just fulfilling your own dreams, you might actualize ambitions that will echo onward through time.

Step 2: Declare

Whatever your vision, speak it—or even better, write it—to give it life. Making it explicit and concrete transforms a dream into a real possibility.
A declaration can be as practical as describing what you will do in the next hour or the next week, or as audacious as what you will accomplish over the next ten years or even in a lifetime. If, for example, one aspect of your dream is to become physically fit and healthy, you can focus on the precise steps you can take today to advance toward your goal.
Today I will go running with a friend.
Today I will choose to eat healthy foods.
Today I will share my fitness goals with my family.
Setting and achieving measurable daily goals not only builds the confidence that you can achieve the same goal tomorrow but maybe even a greater long-term goal.

Step 3: Do

Talking and brainstorming is easy. Without action, though, goals and intentions are nothing more than passing dreams. “Action” describes more than physical movement; yes, action can mean walking, writing, creating, destroying, building, healing, or protecting. But action also involves heart and mind—committing to a clear path toward accomplishing something important. Your vision declared, begin each day by reflecting on your short- and long-term goals, and then committing to action.
For example, if you start by saying, “Today I will choose to go running with a friend,” then commit to that choice in concrete ways. Set aside an hour for that run. Bring your running shoes to work with you—and call your friend a few hours in advance. Clear a path for yourself, starting now.
That’s all there is to it. You’re on your way. In effect, your plans serve to create a call from the future you desire, while marking the path toward your destination.
With clear vision, you are better able to avoid crises, as well as overcome your fears of the unknown. Stick to the plan…and then one day look up and find that what once was a dream has now come true.

The 15 Laws of Success According To Napoleon Hill

Harness the Universal Powers of Success within You

Napoleon Hill wrote "The Law of Success" in 1928 and revolutionized the way people thought about creating wealth, self-improvement, and achieving goals.

Financed by Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon Hill's research took 20 years to complete and involved extensive interviews with over 100 of the most successful people in America at the time.

The Law of Success can be summarized by looking at the 15 character traits that comprise the Law of Success.

Definite Chief Aim

A "chief aim" is a definite purpose, or goal in life. According to Napoleon Hill this is the first gate a person must pass through before achieving success.

This is very important!

To achieve any level of success or wealth, you must have a definite purpose or goal in mind. That does not mean it must be a written goal, signed and notarized; however, it does mean you need to think about what you want to accomplish with your life. Figure out what it will take to achieve that goal, and then devote time, effort, and thought to achieving it.

Self-Confidence

Self-confidence is that magic elixir that gives you the courage to dream, and then take the action necessary to achieve that dream.

Habit of Saving

W. Clement Stone once stated if you lack the ability to save money, the power to create wealth is not within you. And while saving is not a route to wealth in itself due to the lousy interest rates typical of savings accounts and certificates of deposit, the very act of saving develops a financial mindset and confidence to invest, start businesses, and avoid financial setbacks created by emergencies.

Consider this example...

I recently had an employee whose transmission went out on her car. Now, if you've ever had transmission problems, you know this poses an expensive situation.

Lacking the funds to get her car fixed, she secured an advance payment from one of those cash advance places. Three years later she is still paying the interest on that initial loan.

If she had managed to save the $900 required to fix her car, she could have paid for the repairs in cash and avoided the hassle. So far she has paid the cash advance people over $2,400 in fees associated with her loan.

Learn to save and stay a step ahead of financial emergencies of this nature.

George Clason's book "The Richest Man in Babylon" is an excellent book to read on this subject.

Initiative & Leadership

Successful people are self-motivated and want to assume leadership roles.

Have you ever tried to motivate a person to do something he or she is not interested in doing? Sure, it may get done, but chances are you will have to push, cajole, threaten, and otherwise harass them into doing it.

Life is too short for that. Work with motivated people who want to achieve a definitive goal. And don't forget, other people feel the same about you. If you want help from other people, be sure to show the initiative to meet them half way.

Imagination

Imagination is everything in life. Think about it, before you came up with a specific goal, your imagination had to put together the thoughts necessary to realize the achievement of a goal may be a worthwhile process.

Everything begins with thought. Learn some good brainstorming techniques by writers like Tony Buzan and then let your imagination run wild.

Enthusiasm

Dale Carnegie often stated "if you want to be enthusiastic, act enthusiastic." Try it sometime, it actually works.

The bottom line is this...

If you want to achieve a goal that requires the input or cooperation of others, do you think they would work with a dullard, lacking in enthusiasm or energy? Or, would they prefer to work with a person with energy to see the project through?

Enthusiasm does not mean cheerleader pep rally jumping with joy and exuberance, but it also does not mean sitting on the couch complaining about the lack of opportunity as you channel surf re-runs you've seen a dozen times.

The right kind of enthusiasm exists somewhere in the middle ground between the cheerleader and the couch potato. But if you want to error on the side of caution, be a cheerleader.

Self-Control

Self-control as I see it refers to the ability to restrain yourself from outlandish behavior that may jeopardize your reputation or disrupt your business operations.

I recently had a business partner who became angry with a customer, and rather than resolve the customer's complaint in a rational manner, he became emotional and basically "exploded" on the customer with a verbal outburst.

Of course, we lost his business-so who benefited from that? Nobody.

Keep yourself reserved and under control. You never know when the person, or people, you are interacting with may be able to control your destiny.

Habit of Doing More Than Paid For

In business lingo, smart organizations are developing a corporate culture of under promising and over delivering.

You can use the same ideas in your personal endeavors and work. Do more than is expected, and you will be noticed.

Pleasing Personality

Okay, this doesn't mean you have to be Pollyanna, but it also means you should not strive to be Gordon Gekko.

The basic tenet of this character trait is that people prefer to be around and work with pleasant people.

Accurate Thinking

What is the use of thinking about facts or situations that are false?

Robert Allen talks about this extensively in his creating wealth books, and often states the biggest problem with so many of us is that "we know so much that is just not so."

For years I avoided having anything to do with investing in residential real estate because I remembered my father telling me I would spend every waking hour fixing toilets and fighting to collect rents. Yes, there are challenges to managing rental properties, but the idea that these challenges are insurmountable, or make investing in real estate a poor decision, "just isn't so."

When you are making plans for a new business venture or investment, look for the facts and don't allow yourself to become distracted by myths, rumors, or flat errors in thinking.

Concentration

The ability to concentrate is central to any lasting or significant accomplishment.

Regarding The Law of Success, concentration means to focus your efforts onto a specific goal and avoid being distracted from that goal.

For example, if you have a goal to learn to speak Spanish, and the next week you change your mind and decide to study German, and then flip flop to study French the next week, by the need of the month you'll be exactly where you started.

To achieve world class levels of success in any endeavor requires laser like focus, attention to detail, and perseverance.

Cooperation

Napoleon Hill uses the analogy of a wagon wheel to illustrate this point. Imagine, he wrote, what would happen to the wagon if one wheel was broken or missing?

The point is, we can all contribute to a group goal, and there are individuals who can help you achieve your personal goals and dreams, if you will cooperate with them.

Learn to work together with other people and harness the power of other people's talents and resources to achieve your dreams.

Profiting by Failure

Many of fear failure, and will do anything, including not even trying, to avoid failure. But where does that get you?

Humans learn by trial and error.

Consider how a baby learns to walk. If she quit trying after failing a couple of times, she would spend her life crawling everywhere.

The key to success in this area is to learn from your failures. For example, if you purchase a stock and it promptly causes you to lose money, don't just quit investing. Analyze your trade and search for the cause of your failure-and then apply this new found knowledge in your next trade.

Tolerance

There are some things in this world that simply cannot be tolerated, and I'm sure you can think of a few of these situations. However, for the most part, a willingness to tolerate the uniqueness of people and their values, can open doors to your success and happiness.

Practicing the Golden Rule

Just in case you don't remember, the Golden Rule basically states "do unto others as you would have done unto you."

Of course, if you're a masochist and enjoy pain, this rule may not be appropriate for your. The point is, most people want to be treated with dignity and respect, and they want to have the freedom to enjoy life as they see fit.

When you practice the Golden Rule, you are able to "win friends and influence people" in the Dale Carnegie manner-resulting in increased opportunities for yourself, and a richer, more rewarding life.

5 Reasons You May Not Achieve Your Goals

The most important work takes place before you begin.

An inconvenient truth is that very few people actually stick to our annual goals, but despite track records littered with failure, we try it every year, naively believing this year will be different!
But: We then go about pursuing our goals in exactly the same way, making all the same mistakes we’ve made in the past and setting ourselves up for more failure in the process.
The good news: All you need to do is change how you go about achieving your goals by giving more thought to how you pursue them. Specifically, there are five common mistakes people make which set them up for failure. Once you know what these are and how to avoid them you will be much more likely to succeed:
1. Having Too Many Goals.
Most people’s list of goals is as long as a five-year-old’s list for Santa. Yes, there may be many things you would like to change about your life but change, especially when it concerns habits, is hard enough. Choose one or two at the most and decide which you will focus on first.
2. Undefined or Unrealistic Goals.
One of the ways we tend to fail is to list goals that are either too vague, such as, “Be kinder to strangers!” or “Be more patient with the kids!” or too unlikely, such as “Write a best-selling novel!” and “Make a viral video!” Resolutions that are not specific and realistic tend to be overwhelming. To be successful you need to break down your goals into steps you have a greater likelihood of completing, such as, “Join a local charity,” “Read a book about parenting,” “Join a writing group,” or “Make one video a month and increase my YouTube followers.”
3. No Clear Timetable.
One of the most common omissions people make when it comes to goals is neglecting to specify when they'll start. With no start date and no timetable thereafter, the likelihood of you not starting at all (or making poor progress if you do) is pretty high. Decide on a clear start date and when you plan to achieve specific milestones along the way.
4. Insufficient Planning.
Most goals actually require quite a bit of planning. For example, resolving to go to the gym four times a week is great, but unless you figure out how and when you will get there, it’s unlikely to happen. Do you require babysitting? Do you have to share the car? Can you count on leaving work on time? Does it fit into your schedule? If you want to be successful, you have to answer all of these kinds of questions ahead of time and then plan accordingly.
5. Neglecting to Anticipate Hurdles.
Being unprepared to deal with the hurdles and setbacks we are bound to encounter along the way will quickly sabotage any efforts we make at self-improvement. If you tend to keep to your diet for the first two weeks but fall off it thereafter; if you tend to break new habits when work suddenly gets busy; if you tend to start projects but not finish them, you can probably anticipate some of the hurdles and setbacks you are likely to encounter. Therefore, before you begin, take the time to figure out how you'll manage setbacks when they occur. For example, you might need to build in incentives as well as strategies to avoid temptation on Week 3 of your diet. You might need to plan writing time on weekends when work gets busy so you can keep making progress on your novel, and you might need to build in reminders and accountability for completing the garage clean-up past the half way point, as you tend to lose motivation when it “looks better” but is not yet complete.
Addressing these five common failure points ahead of time will maximize you likelihood of success. Remember, the price of failure is not just not reaching your goal but also how your lack of success impacts your self-esteem, your thinking, and your perceptions going forward.

Self Discipline Benefits and Importance

Self-discipline is one of the most important and useful skills everyone should possess. This skill is essential in every area of life, and though most people acknowledge its importance, very few do something to strengthen it.
Contrary to common belief, self-discipline does not mean being harsh toward yourself, or living a limited, restrictive lifestyle. Self discipline means self control, which is a sign of inner strength and control of yourself, your actions, and your reactions.
Self discipline gives you the power to stick to your decisions and follow them through, without changing your mind, and is therefore, one of the important requirements for achieving goals.
The possession of this skill enables you to persevere with your decisions and plans until you accomplish them. It also manifests as inner strength, helping you to overcome addictions, procrastination and laziness, and to follow through with whatever you do.
One of its main characteristics is the ability to reject instant gratification and pleasure, in favor of some greater gain, which requires spending effort and time to get it.
Self discipline is one of the important ingredients of success. It expresses itself in a variety of ways:
  • Perseverance.
  • The ability not to give up, despite failure and setbacks.
  • self control.
  • The ability to resist distractions or temptations.
  • Trying over and again, until you accomplish what you set out to do.
Life puts challenges and problems on the path to success and achievement, and in order to rise above them, you have to act with perseverance and persistence, and this of course, requires self-discipline.
The possession of this skill leads to self-confidence and self esteem, and consequently, to happiness and satisfaction.
On the other hand, lack of self discipline leads to failure, loss, health and relationships' problems, obesity, and to other problems.
This skill is also useful for overcoming eating disorders, addictions, smoking, drinking and negative habits. You also need it to make yourself sit and study, exercise your body, develop new skills, and for self improvement, spiritual growth and meditation.
As said earlier, most people acknowledge the importance and benefits of self discipline, but very few take real steps to develop and strengthen it. However, you can strengthen this ability like any other skill. This is done through training and exercises.
Get the skills you need to take you to the finish line in whatever you do!
Get the extra push, energy and perseverance to accomplish any task and to reach any goal. Simple methods anyone can use.

Self Discipline Benefits and Importance

Self-discipline helps you:
  • Avoid acting rashly and on impulse.
  • Fulfill promises you make to yourself and to others.
  • Overcome laziness and procrastination.
  • Continue working on a project, even after the initial rush of enthusiasm has faded away.
  • Go to the gym, walk or swim, even if your mind tells you to stay at home and watch TV.
  • Continue working on your diet, and resisting the temptation of eating fattening foods.
  • Wake up early in the morning.
  • Overcome the habit of watching too much TV.
  • Start reading a book, and read it to the last page.
  • Meditate regularly.
It will be easier for you to strengthen your self discipline, if you:
  1. Understand its importance in your life.
  2. Become aware of your undisciplined behavior and its consequences. When this awareness increases, you will be more convinced of the need to make a change in your life.
  3. Make the effort to act and behave according to the decisions you make, regardless of laziness, the tendency to procrastinate, or the desire to give up and stop what you are doing.
  4. You can strengthen your self disciple, even if it is currently weak, with the help of special simple exercises, which you can practice at any time or place.
