Move Beyond The Ordinary - 3 Reasons You Should Be Extraordinary (You Definitely Can)

Do you feel that you are stuck in the ordinary? Do you have a feeling that something is calling you to live differently? Life is calling you to be the more than you currently are. You are being drawn to be the highest expression of yourself. There is no better time to become extraordinary than now.

There are two forces in nature; one is growing and expanding, while the other is contracting and dying. Look at nature around you. You can see these two forces at play everywhere. The natural tendency of your life is to grow and expand. To do this, you must move beyond the ordinary as the ordinary keeps you stuck. And being stuck is stagnation, and this is part of the contracting and dying force. You still have a life to live. You still have so much to contribute to the world, but you can't do this if you are stuck in the ordinary.

So why become extraordinary?

Here are three reasons why you'll want to move into an extraordinary life.

Your life flows naturally. From the day of your birth, you have been called to be extraordinary. Did you know that you are a unique individual? No one has ever been born that is exactly like you, and no one will ever be born just like you either. Just by your birth, you are extraordinary. By drawing your first breath, you came to be anything but ordinary.

It is easier than you think. Did you know it is hard being ordinary? Being ordinary take more energy because you must hold yourself back. You must observe what others are and then match what society tells you-you must be. This takes a lot of energy on your part. To conform, to fit in, to be like everyone else, is very tiring on your part. Being extraordinary is only asking you to be yourself. Being yourself is easy, it doesn't take any energy on your part.

You will be more fulfilled - When you are yourself, when you are extraordinary, you are who you are. This does not trap you into being anything other than being yourself. Because of this, you do not have a feeling of being trapped. This allows you to be more fulfilled, because you are expressing yourself to the fullest. By being extraordinary, you are living true to yourself, and this fulfills you as nothing else can.

So now what?

Understand this; an extraordinary life doesn't mean you have to be the next Mother Teresa or the next Mohamed Ali. It does not mean that you need to become the biggest, the fastest, the riches, etc. in the world, so don't worry. What it does mean is that you must live a life that makes you say "WOW, I can't believe I get to live this wonderful life!"

An extraordinary life means that you are fully expressed as a unique person, whatever that means to you. Be the best parent you can be, or the best business person, or the best artist. You get to decide.

All you need do is find what you are passionate about and pursue it. What one thing can you do today that will move you in the direction of living an extraordinary life? Commit to taking that action and do it regularly, and you'll be amazed how quickly and easily you'll start living an extraordinary life. It isn't that difficult.

How To Break-Free From People Pleasing

Have you ever truly felt "Approved"? I won't be surprised if you answered "No" to that question. Because most of us don't feel "Approved" enough to cause us to believe it. And as a result we go through life feeling "wrong", "insecure" and "rejected" thereby losing our self-confidence and developing low self-esteem. In fact, not feeling approved can leave us so empty and hungry inside that we may eventually seek to satisfy ourselves by doing things we think will cause others to like us, affirm us and approve us, thus becoming an "Approval Addict"!

I am sure you would agree that trying to impress others is exhausting! It minimizes your own importance and individuality, which could be very damaging to you in the long run. The good news is that you no longer have to continue to find worth, validation or value in other people's approval. You don't need to suffer any longer with insecurity or rejection. You don't have to strive to please others while feeling miserable yourself. There is a cure for the approval addiction. Here are a few quick and easy steps to get you started!

Give your opinion freely. Give your opinion, even if it makes you feel uncomfortable. Start with smaller things like what you'd like to eat or which movie you'd like to see or how you'd like to spend your time.

Avoid judging others. Check if you are constantly judging others in a variety of situations? Notice your thoughts. If you are overly critical of others, it's only natural that you assume others are the same towards you. By avoiding this type of behavior in yourself, you will drop the assumption that everyone else is judging you. Just allow others to be as they are. It makes life more interesting. Sit back and enjoy the differences.

Be aware that disapproval could be a manipulation tool. Knowing this can free you from seeking the approval of others. In many cases, they are just in the game for themselves.

"If you are an approval addict, your behavior is as easy to control as that of any other junkie. All a manipulator needs do is a simple two-step process: Give you what you crave, and then threaten to take it away. Every drug dealer in the world plays this game."- Harriet B. Braiker

Many people use disapproval as a means of getting what they want and trying to control others. They may disapprove of your opinion, clothing, hairstyle, or anything else to enjoy the fruits of your submission. If someone disapproves you, ask him or her to explain. Remember that most negative people are looking for a victim, not a fight. When you stand up for yourself, many of the bullies disappear.

Don't be bothered by what someone thinks of you. We seem to be born with an intense desire to "fit in". But just because someone does not approve of you it doesn't mean that you are undesirable. It could actually be more about them than about you. It is true that you might suffer from a little bit of anxiety when feeling unaccepted but if you just hold your ground that too shall pass.

"You will never gain anyone's approval by begging for it. When you stand confident in your own worth, respect follows." - Mandy Hale

Fill your life with things that are important. Spend quality times on things you enjoy to do or that are meaningful to you. This is sure going to make you very happy and content. You are going to absolutely love that freedom of being yourself!

Being overly concerned about the opinions of others is damaging to your self-esteem. Each time you seek approval, you are diminishing your own importance. You are causing yourself pain. Your opinion matters! You matter! Allow your individuality to be seen and experienced by others.

"A balanced inner calmness radiates from a peaceful center. It neither craves others' approval nor rejects others' presence. It neither pulls towards nor pushes away. It has a reverent attitude towards life and all its inhabitants." - Donna Goddard

Your Own Personal Masquerade

Do you really know who you are? Yes, I'm sure you know your own name and how you look like, but do you really know who 'you' are? Take this into account, have you ever realized that many of us act differently when we are with different groups of friends, our families, teachers, strangers and many other types of people? But the question is, if you have so many different ways of 'being yourself' (Let's call it Masks), how would you know which one of these Masks, is the real you?

Think about it. The way we behave is often because of our environment. When we are with our friends, we behave differently than when we are with our families. So which one is the real you? Since obviously, you are the one that created all of the Masks for yourself in the first place.

But why do we have these Masks? Most of the time, Masks are formed because we try to fit in, to be something that we aren't. We have been told since we were young to only behave in a certain way, to be nice to people, so that they like us. But the part about 'being nice to people, so that they would like you', has evolved into something else.

It is that programming that helps us create our Masks. We try so hard to get people to like us, to accept us, that we forget about the most important part, being ourselves. When we try to be ourselves, there is always fear in us, wondering if others would judge us for who we are. Due to that fear, we create our Masks, we try to become something different from what we already are.

Here's the problem. The more we try to hide who we are from everyone else, the more approval we seek from others, the more we would tend to forget who we really are. We would start to get lost in the self-created Masquerade.

Now, how do we stop this? How do we find ourselves?

Firstly, we need to become aware whenever we see ourselves wearing a Mask. For example, when we are talking to our friends and we notice that the way we talk and the things we say aren't really what we normally think or do we would know that we are putting on a Mask. Or maybe you act differently when your long-lost relatives are visiting, you are more polite than you normally are. Or you might even try to act cooler or nicer whenever you see the person you 'fancy'.

No matter the situation, try your best to see the Mask you are wearing. And slowly you will eventually find a way to remove your unwanted Mask and leave your Masquerade so that you can start being yourself.

Many people are afraid that if they remove their Mask their friends or families would not approve. They fear that they would end up friendless and that everyone won't like them. Logically and scientifically this isn't possible. As per The Law of Vibration and Attraction, when you start to remove your Masks, you will find that your friends too will start taking down their Masks. And the ones that don't would slowly and subtly move away. You will also attract more people who are more open and truthful.

This way, you don't have a reason to not take off your Mask, unless you want to end up living an unreal life in world of illusions.

So get started on unmasking yourself, because the real you is waiting.
