What You Get By Achieving Your Goals Is Not As Important As What You Become

Woman Doing Sit Ups

We all have a passion. So, find something you really enjoy doing, no matter how small. For me, it is a few things. I enjoy writing and I find pleasure in reading or playing computer games with my kids a couple of nights a week. This allows to refresh and relax my mind even during the most stressful of days.

Stress will build and build once all you think is WORK. When swamped with work, family life, etc. we often forget about ourselves. What I mean by this is to find a few hours off and do something you like to do. For example, I enjoyed a nice trip to the highlands and enjoy nature. Just spending some quality time with myself makes all the difference.

In other words, it means that you have many blessings in your life whether you see them or not. It is important to recognize what you have, and take joy in it. I may work a lot of hours and get stressed beyond belief sometimes, but then by simply taking a look with my kids playing and smiling, I get satisfied. My efforts are all worth it. In fact, it is all a matter of perspective and choosing what to focus on. Just remember, enjoy what you do, and enjoy who you are more.

The true purpose of a goal is to help you grow. Everything in your life becomes better when you grow. A real goal are a few things you never did before. A goal are a few things that may scare you and excite you at the same time. In short, after you set your goal, you do not have to be shrewd to succeed in it. Do not even rely on that. Solely rely on one thing that you simply want. What you get may be a bonus from your hard work and effort. Growth may be a natural a part of life. That's why it's necessary to hunt ways to grow.Goal setting allows you to grasp and to head in the right direction with life.

Make your goal bigger than before and set a time frame to achieve it. After you reach your goal you recognize that you also become a better version of you.Everything in your life can improve. Just make sure you have a goal. Decide what you want, how to measure it and when you want it. Then, focus on the things that will take you in the direction of your goal. Lastly, don't spend any time thinking of why you can't. Only think of how you can.

To accomplish your goals focus in the process of achieving them rather than the prize. It is very important to set your goals and work towards accomplishing them. You cannot quantify the prize you get for fulfilling your goals apart from how they make you feel. Are you satisfied with the outcome of your efforts?

Five Possible Reasons That Prevent You From Achieving Your Goals

Probably no one of us started out in life saying, "I hope I'll end messing up everything." Just like everyone else, all of us have the best intentions in all areas of life: relationships, health, careers or business endeavors, as well as recreational pursuits that will contribute to our personal growth.

And yet, to leave everything to chance, or to assume that success in achieving our goals is a matter of luck, is a dangerous presumption. We are deluded if we believe that fate determines the ultimate fulfillment of our goals.

Sit back and take a good look at your life right now. Have you achieved most of your goals, or at least, gradually getting to that point? If you're feeling dissatisfied, consider the following as the possible culprits that hold you back:

(1.) Your goals lack clarity.

Before making a definite plan to go after what you want, first you need to decide what it is that you want. Different people set goals for different reasons. There is most likely an underlying motive that serves as the driving force behind every worthwhile goal.

If you only have a vague or hazy idea regarding what you want, you won't feel compelled enough to take action.

(2.) Your goals are in conflict with one another.

Some people make an effort to work on several goals at once. This is perfectly all right if each separate goal complements, or is in sync, with one another. To illustrate, let's say your goal is to learn a foreign language, like Spanish. You then make up your mind that the best way to learn is to take an intensive course in a foreign language school.

So to be able to afford the tuition fee, you take in odd jobs in addition to your nine-to-five, like waiting on tables at the Spanish restaurant near your place in order to become familiar with the cuisines.

Now, if you're a high school student and you want to qualify for an academic scholarship in college yet you spend most of your time going out with friends because you also consider a social life to be important, this can cause conflict. Make sure that if you want to get on the right track towards a scholarship, strike a balance between doing homework and finding time for friends.

(3.) Your goals are unrealistic.

While it's good to set a goal that will challenge you to stretch beyond your capacities, there are some goals that are impossible to achieve given a certain time frame. A very good example of an unrealistic goal is to aim to lose 20 pounds in just one month.

A more feasible plan of action would be to whittle away a pound or two a week, not by drastically changing your diet, but by making small sacrifices like skipping desserts, cutting back on soda, or getting up 15 minutes earlier every morning to exercise.

Your goals may also be considered unrealistic if you wish to work in a certain type of career, trade, or profession and yet, you have absolutely no talent or aptitude, or even the right credentials, to have a fighting chance to succeed in that career.

For example, a career in sales requires that a person is by nature gregarious and enjoys frequent person-to-person contact. Individuals who are introverted or have to summon up enough courage before making cold calls are not suited to be salespeople.

(4.) You have no idea if you've made progress.

Goals, in order to be effective, need to be measurable. Ask yourself, "Am I moving towards the direction that I desire?" or "Am I achieving what I'm supposed to achieve?"

Devise a system that will allow you to keep track of your progress. Assess yourself regularly to see if you've made improvement.

There are times when the results of the goals that people set aren't tangible. I've heard parents say, "I want to grow closer to my children." Closeness can never be quantified. Usually, to grow closer to their children, parents would need to schedule more quality time with them. While fathers are expected to provide, a mother may decide to give up her career, or juggle her schedule so she can come home early to join her family for dinner a couple of times a week. A father can keep most of his weekends free so he can take his kids camping or biking.

(5.) You're not fully committed.

Goal setting requires hard work, determination, and a willingness to delay gratification. Making constant excuses or relaxing your resolve when the going gets tough won't bring you to the completeness of your goals.

Vibrational Matching Requires An Identity Shift

In the process of achieving your goals, you have to become more than what you are. Your self identity needs to expand to include those things you intend to manifest. If you identify with the person you will be when you achieve your goal, you will get there very quickly. Once you have shifted your identity, you simply make gradual changes in your persona to match the one you would adopt when you have fully achieved your goal.
You are a different person with your goal achieved compared to the person you are without it. It is not just taking the actions to get to your goal. There is a different way you think about yourself when you have achieved your goal. There is a different way you perceive reality. Without this personal inner shift in your self identity, all your actions will ultimately fail because your personality conflict will sabotage your success. When you change your identity to match the person you will be with your goal achieved, your goal will manifest in your reality without fail.

The reason you have not already gotten what you desire is because you are holding yourself in a vibrational pattern that does not match the vibration you desire. That is the only reason ever! You cannot desire something but predominantly focus on the absence of it, and yet expect to receive it, because the vibrational frequency of it's absence and the vibrational frequency of it's presence are very different frequencies. Your desires and your beliefs must be a vibrational match in order to receive that which you desire. You need to have it in your being. You need to get it emotionally.

You have to be in a vibrational match with your desires and intentions in order to manifest them into reality. To be in a vibrational match with your desired reality means you have made an identity shift towards it. You identify yourself with it and therefore would do whatever it takes to be there now. You may take massive actions and work very hard for it but it will just flow because you already know how is it like to be there. If you were already the person who is experiencing your desired reality, you would find that anything else is totally unacceptable, because it is simply not you. Your identity forces and compels you to live your ideal right here, right now.

When people find themselves wanting to become millionaires they tend to look at where they are and spend most of the time making decision based on their present circumstances. Most of them keep saying, "I don't have enough" or "I wish I could have more" or "I need to pay these bills" and so on. The challenge is pretty obvious, they like to achieve financial abundance coming from a scarcity mentality. If you need to look at where you are at, look at it once . Now keep your whole attention focused on the bigger picture.

The key to manifestation is the ability to shift awareness and hold focus. Keep your awareness more on where you want to go and less on where you are, and you will get there faster. You have to shift your awareness to your desired reality in order to draw it into manifestation. The key is to feel comfortable with thinking, talking and acting in a state where your desire is already a reality.

So to manifest millions, you must keep your energy and sight thinking in terms of bigger numbers. Keep your awareness so that thinking in terms of bigger numbers becomes a part of your life. Once you keep your attention in the right place, thinking in terms of bigger numbers, the universe will provide you with plenty of opportunity to ensure that you can attain whatever it is you desire to accomplish. All you need to do is recognized the opportunities and act upon them.

To attract wealth, you have to be wealthy. Your beliefs is your being in this world. You have to make the decision that you are wealth contrary to external physical evidence. Being wealth conscious magnetically attracts wealth into your life. You will attract wealth simply because of who you are. You have to shift your consciousness to be wealth by realizing that abundance is everywhere and you will experience the wealth that is yours.

Get comfortable with larger numbers and amounts. If you already identify with your desired reality, you would feel that the larger numbers and amounts are really normal. You will also feel that they are not really big and anything smaller is really small indeed. Think the way you would think and feel about numbers and amounts when you are already the person you want to become. You would find many of the things you think of as too much for you now are really nothing at all. You would also feel that using a certain amount of resources or energy in whatever form that you presently think as a lot is no big deal because you have a lot more in your reserves and inflowing as well.

Having the identity of being a millionaire already doesn't mean you go and spend like crazy. That is not a good idea because someone with a millionaire mindset does not manage his finances unwisely and gets himself into debt. But a millionaire would be willing to invest more money into his business and spend more to increase his capacity of getting returns. You have to know how to resonate with your identity of being the person you will be in every way in order to live correctly as that person now.

Seeing whether someone's identity is a vibrational match with his dreams and desires, is how you can tell whether such person is going to make it even if that person has not gotten the desired relationship, business or goal yet. You know that they are going to get it because they already have an identity shift towards the end result they want to achieve. Shift your identity and you will find yourself accelerating rapidly towards the desired reality you intend to manifest.

The Difference Between SUCCESS And FAILURE Is The Ability To Take Action

"The Difference Between Success And Failure Is The Ability To Take Action" - Alexanndre Graham Bell

Introduction

The above quote by Alexandre Graham Bell aptly describes the harmful effects of Procrastination.

The year 2017 has continued on its natural journey. Right now, we're approaching the end of the second quarter - five months out of twelve months are already gone.

Ask yourself the question "How far have I gone in achieving my targets for the year?" Your honest answer to this question will determine how you continue on your road map to achieving your goals for 2017.

Every one of us has the tendency to delay taking required action at one time or the other. Some people will continue postponing taking action until the issue at hand loses relevance. For some others, deferring taking action is a way of life.

Dangers Of Not Taking Action (procrastination)

A person that is used to postponing taking action on important tasks runs the risk of the following:

  • Missing great opportunities
  • Unnecessary delays in taking action can lead to loss of huge opportunities that could make a lot of positive difference in someone's life.
  • Maybe, you have a great business idea but you kept postponing implementation. Some months/years later someone else implements the same idea with fantastic financial rewards.
  • Continuously failing to achieve set goals
  • Procrastination is a thief of time. When you continue deferring to take action, you will fail to meet up with goals you set for yourself and your business.
  • Developing low self- esteem and loss of self - confidence
  • When you continue delaying to take action, you lack behind in everything. As you see others achieving, you begin to lose confidence in yourself and your self- esteem will nose dive.
  • Eventual collapse of the Home Based Business.

A Home Based Entrepreneur thrives on ability to juggle different tasks simultaneously, being proactive and taking action whenever necessary. Therefore an entrepreneur who indulges in procrastination will eventually destroy his/her business sooner than later.

So How Do You Overcome This Very Bad Habit?

If you want to succeed as a Home Based Business Owner, you must be able to take difficult and critical decisions without unnecessary delays.

I will mention here, some of my tried and trusted ways of overcoming procrastination:

  • Break down the Task into smaller bits until you're motivated to act
  • Apply the Pareto principle. Devote more time and energy to the most important twenty percent of your daily activities.
  • Spend more time with action oriented people - achievers
  • Seek out Influencers in your niche/business sector and ask for advice
  • Don't Be Too Emotional when taking decisions
  • Ensure you have verifiable data at your disposal
  • Be mindful of the consequences of your action

Wrapping Up

If you look around you, you'll discover that most successful people don't procrastinate. Why?

This is because they have developed the required skills and enforced discipline, to stay focused and take necessary action whenever the need arises.

You can only overcome this bad habit of procrastination by becoming a man or woman of action. When you become action oriented, you overcome inertia and the momentum will propel you to greater heights of achievement and success.

So decide today to become a man/ woman of action and the forces of nature will work in sync with your actions to help you succeed.

Have you experienced procrastination or you know someone who has suffered or is suffering from it?

How To Achieve Your Dreams - The 3 Secret Steps To Achieve Your Dreams

It's all about goal setting. Is there something you always wanted to do or accomplish but couldn't ever seem to get it done? Have you maybe even failed every time you tried to achieve this dream? I'm here to help. It's all a process! Just like riding a bike, it's hard at first but once you got it, you got it! Achieving your goals and dreams becomes much easier to do once you understand the process. I will go over the 3 simple steps to take to accomplish your dreams or goals.

The Steps

1. Discover Your Dream - This may seem silly. However, many people set out to achieve a dream and invest a lot of time, effort, and money into it just to find out that it's not actually want they wanted to accomplish to begin with. If you want to be rich, don't just choose the first job that pays the most. Work smart! So get out a pen and a piece of paper and write down exactly what your dream is. You may need to do this a few times before you actually discover what it is you want to do.

The fact is, most people are so blinded by money, freedom, work and many other factors that they have a difficult time finding out exactly what they want to do and for what reason. If you want to be a real estate agent because you want to make a substantial amount of income, you're likely going to fail. If you want to make a substantial amount of income and think being a real estate agent is going to be your pathway to that goal or dream, understand that it will take time and there's many more things to consider such as: Will you even enjoy the job or will you even make the amount of income your originally imagined?

Be a real estate agent because you want to make a good income but also because you want to help people find the best home that fits their budget and idea. Be a real estate agent because you like to help others and see your clients happy from your work. Life is not all about money; however, if you remain ethical and help others you will likely make more money than you would if you were just doing something to make some quick cash. This may take a few days or even weeks but trust me, once you finish you will definitely see the benefits of doing so.

2. Plan! Plan! Plan! - So many of my friends have started a business and failed. Before they started their business I had told them there are things they need to learn as well as things they need to master. They responded with laughter as they proceeded to wing it. Their businesses no longer exist because of it. This may be more difficult to do than the first step, however, in the long run; it will certainly be worth it! You have to plan! Create a Blueprint step-by-step on how exactly you will get to where you want to be! So, keep that pen in your hand and grab a new sheet of paper and do this with full concentration.

However, be prepared! This list will change. Don't fear change! Accept and welcome change. Some things will work great and others will not. In order to achieve your ultimate goals or dreams you have to understand the exact steps and the best route to take in order to get there. You have to plan where to begin, how to manage it, and how to capitalize with it! Of course, when you capitalize and achieve your goals and dreams, don't think for one second that's the end of it. If you want your dream to disappear, let it be the end. But if you want your dreams or goals to continue until your last breath, continue planning! This planning process may be tedious at first but it will get easier the more you do it but be prepared to do this on a regular basis!

3. Take Action! - I can't express this step enough. Some people are dreamers, some people are doers. However, the elite top percent of those in which has accomplished their goals and dreams with a growing success rate do both! First you have to dream then you have to do! If you dream all day, you won't accomplish anything. If you do all day, you will start a bunch of things that crumble into your hands in a million little pieces. You will likely get discouraged and give up after your dreams or goals crumble a few times. So dream and then take action!

After you have found out exactly what it is that you want to do, create a blueprint to figure out exactly how you're going to do it, and then implement that blueprint. Every time it gets tough, remember your reasons! Remember your dreams and goals! Remember why you are accepting the headaches in the first place and get back to it! This is easily the most important feature that separates the achievers and the failures. I personally, take action daily! I do, however, have off days. But when I do have those off days, I make up for it by putting in an extra 50% of action the next.

This is also the hardest part of achieving your dreams or goals. This is the main reason why most people do not achieve these things and they end up working a job in which they can't stand for their entire life and eventually retire and spend the rest of their life wishing they had done something differently. That thing they wish they did differently is take action!

Make Sense?

Follow these steps and I guarantee you will see results and eventually achieve your dreams and goals. Figure out what you want to do, plan everything out, and then take action! I apologize if you thought the road to success was much more difficult than that, but it's not! Talk to any billionaire that has worked their way to the top and they will tell you the same thing that is in this article! Of course, there are plenty more little things you must do such as possibility getting some education or working for the investment or any other little thing. But in terms of the process, these 3 steps are it!

I Have the Power to Change Myself

Challenges are regular visitors in our life, and nobody is immune to them. They can either make you lose hope, and even give up, or we can use these challenges to make positive changes in our life.

For instance:

Develop your passion

Having a passion for something, will motivate you towards achieving your goals. When setting your goals, you always want to be passionate about those goals, because if you love what you do, you will be driven by the desire to achieve success. This will go a long way towards reaching your dreams.

Believe in yourself

To believe in yourself is a prerequisite for success. When you have doubts, or negative feelings about yourself, you are sabotaging your progress. Instead you want to see yourself as a winner, and believe in yourself. Feeding your mind with positives, will reinforce your beliefs, and sweep any doubts out of your system.

Track your progress.

It is important that you take note of every improvement you make. This will motivate you to work even harder. Every step forward will give you a boost, and accelerate your efforts to the achievement of your ultimate goal. Learn how to control your emotions. It is important that you use your emotional intelligence, when you encounter problems in your life. You are a product of your thoughts and feelings, and any negative emotions that crop up, can negate the positive forward movement you enjoyed earlier. Approach any challenge with a positive outlook, which will help toward a quick, and positive resolution. You have all the tools you need, in order to make positive changes in your life. The potential for your life is absolutely staggering. The possibilities in front of you go way beyond anything you ever dreamed of. And the best part is, you are in control. It is in your hands to make the changes necessary, to take your life to new heights.

This statement is a perfect description about friendship. While all friends can buy you drinks, drive you home, and/or spoil you in any other way, only the best of them will help you to realize the awesome potential within you. It is only the best among them that can push you to achieve you full potential. It is only the best friend, who is able to give you the confidence to see your capabilities, and help you harness them, in order to set, and reach your lofty goals. It is not surprising, that such an expressive quote came from Henry Ford. Henry Ford is a legend in the automotive industry. The companies he set up continue to thrive, and are enjoying exponential growth. He himself was a remarkable success. To be, where he was, he must have experienced the upsides of many good friendships. Good friends, who spurred him on to become the success as we know it.

As you might have realized already, the path to success is often paved with frustrations and discouragements. Best friends come in, when you experience bout after bout of disappointments. They help you see the big picture, and encourage you to rise from momentary failures, and feelings of disillusionment. True friends will always be there when you need them. The best friendships begin when one person chooses to give unconditionally, when a person chooses to care. It is true, you will often come across individuals, who are ever ready to receive whatever you choose to give, without necessarily giving much back, if anything at all.

Steps To Use The Law of Attraction For Your Life

Brain, Thinking, Law, Attraction, Think, Imagination

People of all ages and backgrounds are starting to learn about the Law of Attraction. This is a beautiful thing when you start to look at how it can improve your daily world view. It all starts with pushing out negative energy, and reaching for the stars. When you reach past the negativity that plagues many people, you will start to see a manifestation of greatness, and that is something that will bring to you better relationships, more money, and so much more. Getting there is a difficult task at first glance, but it can be moved along with a few steps.

Focus On Meditation

The first thing that you should do is simple, learn to meditate. Meditation allows you to slow down the world for a few minutes at a time. You can start this by focusing on silence for at least 10 minutes. Spend time where your eyes are closed, you are breathing deeply, and you focus on energy alone. Don't let anything else plague your mind, just focus on silence.

Write Down What You Want Out of Life

The next thing that you will need to do is simple, focus on writing down what you want out of life. When you know what you want, you can start to make steps towards getting it. The universe around you will bring you the right elements, and your path will change if you focus on what you want. People don't usually reach their greatness because they don't really understand this step.

Request The Universe Deliver

As you meditate, focus your energy on getting what you want. Asking the universe is not a matter of deity, but rather focusing on the beauty of the world around you. Just imagine the greatness of achieving your goals, and focus on the positives. When you focus on the positives in your meditative state, you'll find that attraction will manifest in your life.

Showcase Gratitude Whenever You Can

The next big thing is simple, focus on being gracious. Show gratitude wherever you are, smile, and be joyous about what you're doing. Gratitude will allow your world to shift in a positive manner. Once you start pushing the world in a positive manner, you're going to end up with a huge jump going forward. Gracious thinking will help you enjoy your life a bit more, and will deliver on the attraction you need for success.

Trust That You'll Enjoy Greatness

The last thing that you need to remember is that you will need to be patient. Trust that good things are coming, and try to shove away any negative things. When you focus on the power of positivity, you will see great things manifest in your personal world. Be patient, and try not to stress out about the variables. Your goal is focus on the beauty of the world around you, and avoid allowing anything negative to fall into your lap. These steps will help you gain leverage in a new way. Just keep going forward and you'll see benefits amass over time.

Top 7 Ways to Stop Wasting Time

Most of the people who try to make an attempt to manage time confess that sometimes they cannot analyze where exactly is their time getting wasted. In our everyday life a minor or major portion of our time gets wasted. Let us understand the most common ways in which we tend to waste our time and how we can save time.

1. Keep a Check on You

Maintain an excel sheet of every hour that you spend in your day, especially at work. Entry in the excel sheet can be made at bedtime.

Quickly revive what you did from the time that you got up. You will be surprised to know how much time you spend on not-so-important issues. Keep updating this excel sheet for one month.

Do a critical self analysis of your time management skills. Compare it with the list of goals that you wish to achieve. Does the excel sheet reflect that you are working on the path of achieving your goals?

2. Stay Away from Gossip

Gossiping could be addictive. Blame it on your curiosity for that. Stay away from this habit if you wish to save your time.

Gossip never ends in one sentence. Once your curiosity is triggered you can be caught up in a useless discussion for more than "5 minutes". It is good to be aware about what is going on around you but not at the cost of your working time.

3. Practice Quick Decision Making

In order to save your time, practice taking quick decisions based on facts and figures available. There is a difference between taking a quick decision and taking a hasty decision. A good decision will always bring a "win-win" situation for everyone involved.

Quick decision making is not just restricted to your office but it also involves making instant choices while shopping, picking a dress for the evening, cooking a meal, choosing the right school for your child or taking up a new insurance.

4. Talk Less Work More

The point is to get into action rather than getting into endless discussions. Whether it is your personal life or your professional life, no matter how complicated the situation is, always look for the solution rather than looking at the problem.

5. Keep Dressing Style Simple

Most of the people find it tough to decide what to wear. Here are some simple ways of saving time while dressing up. Categorize your wardrobe and keep different types of cloths on different shelves. Preferably, match your cloths and arrange them in advance on weekends so that there is no waste of time on the weekdays in matching the cloths.

To save time on dressing up, try to have a simple style that does not require much maintenance.

6. Cut Extra Entertainment from Life

Count the time you spend on watching television soaps or other form of entertainment. Ask yourself if you really want this much entertainment. Even if you do not have a deadline to meet and are looking for a way to have a nice time, try to spend it in a more fruitful way.

7. Be Practical and Rational

When emotions take a toll things can get a little out of control. Emotions, especially negative emotions, deplete mental and physical energy.

More time will be required to recover from this type of exhaustion. It will affect problem solving ability and decision making. Practice being practical and try to be rational in your approach.

5 Quick Tactics to Get Moving on Achieving Your Goals

Are you stuck? Don't know what to do to give yourself a kick in the pants? Do you even know you're stuck? So many struggle to achieve their goals, because they've lost focus and direction. Below are five tactics to help you get jump-started and back on track to achieve your goals.

Tactic#1. Set Some Short-Term goals.

Some people start with goals that they thought were long-term. They might achieve them quickly, and they realize that their goals were really part of a larger long-term one. We open our eyes sometimes to the possibilities when we get a taste of success.

So, short-term goals are really a great way to jump-start us when we're stuck. We can rack up some quick successes and build some momentum. Short term goals are a great confidence booster, because they prove that we're able to achieve things in life.

Tactic#2. Have a really big WHY.

You have to ask yourself: "Do I really want this goal and will this goal give me a better life?"

You need to know your WHY. Why do I want this? If you can't come up with compelling reasons, it's OK to dump the goal. Answering this ONE question can ignite passion and motivation that you didn't know you had.

Tactic#3. Speak up.

You shouldn't keep your goals to yourself, especially when you're feeling stuck. By telling other people about your goals, you can get support for your goals and you might just feel the extra pressure in a good way. It's one thing to give up if you're the only one who knows it. It's entirely another if a bunch of people know.

Keeping quiet can be bad long-term, because when you need support, your friends and family might not see you as someone capable of achieving those goals. They could easily try to talk you out of your goals. You'll be on your own or worse, working against your naysayers in addition to everything else. Don't make this mistake.

Tactic#4. Write down your goals.

You're probably thinking, "Duh!" But do you already have written goals? Have you always had written goals in your success journey? If so, you're the exception. This is critical and even more important if you've got a lot of complex goals. Write them down and keep reviewing them. Keep your goals fresh in your mind and you'll be more likely to work on them.

Tactic#5. Stay on track and never give up.

Stay focused on what's important. Review your goals and especially your WHY. If you have a big enough WHY and keep that in mind often, you won't give up. You can change your plans. You can adjust to changing situations, but you won't give up.

Don't let discouragement get in the way. Obstacles are just opportunities to make a breakthrough and achieve a short-term goal.

With many of us seeking happiness and fulfillment in our personal lives, are you prepared to give yourself the edge in life and tap into the recipes that millions of people are now using to experience true fulfillment?

But what is meant by True Fulfillment?

Well this will mean different things for different people depending on your individual needs and desires. Happiness and fulfillment are also measured in different ways. For one person, fulfillment could mean having a high paying career with status you've always wanted, a beautiful house and expensive cars etc. Where another person may measure their success on whether they have paid their kids through school/university, getting married and raising a stable family. The list is endless. Either way, happiness is, or at least should be self-defined.

Yes, you do have what it takes to be a success in any area of your life. The only person who can prevent you from achieving your goals and success is you. You are an individual and deserve the life you have always dreamed of. The problem is NO-ONE is going to hand it to you. Whilst there are many sources that will help you in your quest for personal growth, the only person who can determine your success is you. This however requires a conscious decision and commitment on your part to embrace the journey and achieve success on your terms.

Read through the key areas you need to actively work on to develop your personal growth. The focus here is more on the 'internal' side of things such as:

Self Esteem
Self Awareness
Personal Values
Positive Thinking
Increasing Motivation
Constructive and Destructive habits
Understanding and Handling our Emotions
There are also attributes that you will need to bring to the table in order to make your success a reality and these include;

1. Self Awareness

2. Positive Mental Attitude

3. Commitment

4. Discipline

5. Reflection and Evaluation

6. Persistence

7. Emotional Intelligence

Many People ask: "What is Personal Growth?"

Many of us have been led to believe, at some point in our lives, that our education/personal growth ends the moment we leave School, College or University. It's as though we handed 'unconscious responsibility' to these establishments on what we shall learn and become. We go into employment and begin to forget about our own personal development, dreams, goals etc.

So, having the maturity to take 100% responsibility for your health, your career/business, your finances, your relationships, your emotions, your habits and your spiritual beliefs is absolutely important. Someone seeking personal change must make a conscious decision to do so. They must take ultimate responsibility for their education, direction and results in their life.

This often requires you taking a hard honest look at yourself, deciding what kind of person you are, and/or the person that you anticipate to become, and taking consistent action to acquire the self-education necessary to achieve your goals.

Just be honest with no one else but to yourself. It is not always easy but the results you experience with conscious personal growth are most definitely worthwhile and if you value mental, emotional, physical and spiritual development, shouldn't your education reflect those same values?

By seeking self-improvement, you strongly increase your odds for personal success and realize your full potential. Taking control of your life and destiny is in your hands. If you feel there is more to come from you or you feel that you want to experience different results/outcomes in your life, know and understand that it is certainly possible.

In life, you must do something different in order to get something different, to experience results you've never experienced before. You must be prepared to learn and apply things you've never done before. The further down the 'Personal Development' road you travel, you will begin to witness the progress and potential within you and bring those once distant dreams to reality.

1-Mph Is Always Better Motivation Than Standing Still

If you are currently standing still and begin to move at 1-mph, you can accomplish anything you desire. Simply moving forward at any speed will begin to take you in a positive direction. Take that first step.

"The average walking speed is 3.1-mph so you almost don't even have to walk to begin moving forward."
1-mph is the half-way point between sitting and walking.

Moving at 1-mph you can...

Walk 1 mile in an hour
Walk 24 miles in a day
Complete a 5k in 3.1 hours
Run a marathon in 26.2 hours
Move from the East coast to the West coast of the USA in 125 days going 1-mph
Circle the earth in 2 yrs and 288 days
In 28 years you could even reach the moon
At 1-mph YOU can take the first step to achieving your goals.
Moving forward even at 1-mph makes much more sense than not moving at all. At 1-mph you are moving slow enough to be in complete control yet able to shift direction or even stop, without any major damage. You have the time to view your surroundings and establish the impact, while still moving forward.

"The risk of failure is nearly diminished because you are not out of control, but in complete control."
This analogy can be used when examining the impact new technology can potentially have on a business. In many cases, a technology's value cannot be recognized until it is functioning as part of their environment and experiencing the benefits firsthand. However, there always needs to be that first step towards positive movement.

Becoming a data driven organization is a classic example of this mindset. I would venture to say that every organization has areas of their business where combining disparate data sources is going to save them time, money, and open a window into additional valuable insight that is not currently visible. Forward movement (1-mph) can be as simple as determining where you are spending additional efforts combining data, or what data information would you like to leverage that is not currently accessible. No expenses are incurred other than the time understanding and making internal business connections to the technology you are investigating, and taking that first step.

You can apply this concept to any aspect of your business or personal life and go anywhere you want moving at 1-mph. At the very least, you are moving forward; and when you move forward, good things always happen.

It is all about that first step.

Goal-Setting Achievement How-To

Most of us set goals in our lives. Even people who say they do not set any goals are doing so anyway. For example, we plan to wake up, to go to sleep, to eat, to drink, call a friend, and so on. A goal does not have to be complex or a life-coaching nor a mumbo-jumbo thing. And I know you are reading this because you probably have some good achievement that you wish to aim for, so here are a few tips from my personal and client experience to help you in achieving your goals.

First of all, do you have an end result in mind, such as "I want to drink more water each day", "I want to lose/gain 5 kgs in the next 3 months", or "I want to buy a new car this year"? Or are you maybe looking for something to aim for, give you motivation and excitement about life? If you know what you want to achieve, great. You are already thinking about it and it gives you a challenge to give you that extra reason to enjoy life, by looking forward to something good. If you are looking for a goal to set for yourself, so you can feel more motivated in your life, here is a simple guide. You can get a copybook or keep a notepad easily available on your phone, and whenever something comes to you that you would like to achieve, note it down. It does not matter for now how big or small it is, just make a note of it. Soon, you may begin to notice a pattern amongst what you have written. Take the most common theme, and that can be your goal to aim for.

The next step is to get a motivation sheet drawn up. I have found that a paper one is ideal, as it can be put in a prominent place, such as on the fridge door or your bedroom wall, or where you normally sit down to use a computer or watch TV. This way, you cannot avoid looking at it. It is speaking to you all the time. Let us say your goal is to buy a new bed in the next 3 months, and you need to put aside a certain amount of money each month to get it. In that case, if you get paid monthly, you can write at the top of the sheet in two columns first the pay-day dates, then the amount saved towards buying the new bed. This encourages you to put aside that money, and it also gives you the confidence and motivation that you are doing something good to improve your life. If one month, you could not save the whole amount, this makes you aware that either you need to find a way to put aside extra the next month, or that you need to make that purchase in say, 4, rather than 3 months. Always forgive yourself for any shortcomings and congratulate yourself on all the good mini-achievements along the way.

I personally started this motivation sheet idea for my stop-smoking clients who needed more than one session. And then when I planned to run my first half-marathon from a total beginner, I thought "why not borrow that idea?", and it worked. I printed out a running program for beginners from a well-known running website, put it on the wall right next to the computer where I worked, and wrote on it the days that I had done each task, for example, running for 2 minutes and walking for one, followed by running for two minutes and walking for one, for 10 minutes in total. It made me feel really good to see my progress. I then graduated to downloading the half-marathon preparation guide, printed it out and put in on my wall. Eventually, it was a matter of writing in the days when I planned to do a non-stop 6 km run. Finally, there were the days when I was to do a non-stop 15 km run. This is from someone with a lung condition who previously could not run continuously for over a minute. I also used EFT, short for emotional Freedom techniques, to get me going at the times when I did not feel like doing the day's running task.

For you, you may prefer to use EFT tapping, meditation, a self-hypnosis CD, Reiki or Spiritual healing, daily affirmations, or whatever works for you to keep you motivated on those days when an extra push may be needed.

In conclusion, to help you with your goal, here are the steps that I found helpful. You can find it, plan it, make a motivation sheet for it, and use whatever motivational methods that you like to stick to it.

Wishing you every success on your path!

Top of Mind: The First Step Toward Achieving Your Goals

Even if your goal is a long shot, you have to believe at least enough to fuel your efforts. From there it becomes all about hard work and hustle.
Believing. If you do not believe, then you will never achieve. It is quite simple, actually. Even if your goal is a long shot, you have to believe at least enough to fuel your efforts. From there it becomes all about hard work and hustle.
—Lauren Imparato, founder and CEO of I.AM.YOU.

I think the first step toward achieving your goals is to first have goals. I think it is important to set achievable goals for yourself. It is also important to set stretch goals for yourself. Something that might be a little far out of reach.
—John Lyon, CEO of World Hope International

I visualize. I think of what short-term and long-term steps are needed to accomplish my goals and under what time line. Once I have a sense of the pacing required, I ensure that I achieve at least one thing that will move me toward these goals each day.
—Tiffany Pham, founder and CEO of MOGUL

I’ve found that I’m not able to achieve my goals unless I have the right people supporting me. For example, my co-founder and I agreed during our company’s infancy that finding people who fit the kind of culture we wanted to build was critical. I’m happy to say we’ve been consistent with this vision and keep checking in with one another to make sure this goal continues to become a reality.
—Matt Riley, CEO of Swiftype

The first step toward achieving your goals is creating processes and streamlining your business. This has helped me to stay organized, not lose customers, and maintain a sense of balance between my personal and professional life.

12 Habits That Set Ultra Successful People Apart

Ultra successful people delight themselves by blowing their personal goals out of the water. Here's what sets them apart.

A study at Strayer University found that most people think success is about achieving your personal goals.
Ultra successful people delight themselves by blowing their personal goals out of the water. They succeed along many different dimensions of life--their friendships, their physical and mental health, their families, and their jobs (which they are not only good at but also enjoy).
TalentSmart has conducted research with more than a million people, and we've found that ultra successful people have a lot in common. In particular, 90% of them are skilled at managing their emotions in order to stay focused, calm, and productive.
These super successful folks have high emotional intelligence (EQ), a quality that's critical to achieving your dreams.
While I've run across numerous effective strategies that ultra successful people employ to reach their goals, what follows are twelve of the best. Some of these may seem obvious, but the real challenge lies in recognizing when you need to use them and having the wherewithal to actually do so.
1. They're Composed
Ultra successful people are composed because they constantly monitor their emotions, they understand them, and they use this knowledge in the moment to react to challenging situations with self-control. When things go downhill, they are persistently calm and frustratingly content (frustrating to those who aren't, at least). They know that no matter how good or bad things get, everything changes with time. All they can do is adapt and adjust to stay happy and in control.
2. They're Knowledgeable
Super successful people know more than others do because they're constantly working to increase their self-awareness. They vow constant growth. Whenever they have a spare moment, they fill it with self-education. They don't do this because it's "the right thing to do"; they do it because it's their passion. They're always looking for opportunities to improve and new things to learn about themselves and the world around them. Instead of succumbing to their fear of looking stupid, truly exceptional people just ask the questions on their mind, because they would rather learn something new than appear smart.
3. They're Deliberate
Ultra successful people reach decisions by thinking things out, seeking advice from others, and sleeping on it. They know that (as studies show) impulsively relying too much on gut-instinct is ineffective and misleading. Being able to slow down and logically think things through makes all the difference.
4. They Speak with Certainty
It's rare to hear super successful people utter things like "Um," "I'm not sure," and "I think." Successful people speak assertively because they know that it's difficult to get people to listen to you if you can't deliver your ideas with conviction.
5. They Use Positive Body Language
Becoming cognizant of your gestures, expressions, and tone of voice (and making certain they're positive) draws people to you like ants to a picnic. Using an enthusiastic tone, uncrossing your arms, maintaining eye contact, and leaning towards the person who's speaking are all forms of positive body language that super successful people use to draw others in. Positive body language makes all the difference in a conversation because how you say something can be more important than what you say.
6. They Leave a Strong First Impression
Research shows that most people decide whether or not they like you within the first seven seconds of meeting you. They then spend the rest of the conversation internally justifying their initial reaction. This may sound terrifying, but by knowing this, you can take advantage of it to make huge gains in how people respond to you. First impressions are tied intimately to positive body language. A strong posture, a firm handshake, a smile, and open shoulders help ensure that your first impression is a good one.
7. They Seek Out Small Victories
Successful people like to challenge themselves and compete, even when their efforts yield only small victories. Small victories build new androgen receptors in the areas of the brain responsible for reward and motivation. The increase in androgen receptors increases the influence of testosterone, which further increases their confidence and eagerness to tackle future challenges. When you achieve a series of small victories, the boost in your confidence can last for months.
8. They're Fearless
Fear is nothing more than a lingering emotion that's fueled by your imagination.Danger is real. It's the uncomfortable rush of adrenaline you get when you almost step in front of a bus. Fear is a choice. Exceptional people know this better than anyone does, so they flip fear on its head. Instead of letting fear take over, they are addicted to the euphoric feeling they get from conquering their fears.
9. They're Graceful
Graceful people are the perfect combination of strong and gentle. They don't resort to intimidation, anger, or manipulation to get a point across because their gentle, self-assured nature gets the job done. The word gentle often carries a negative connotation (especially in the workplace), but in reality, it's the gentleness of being graceful that gives ultra successful people their power. They're approachable, likeable, and easy to get along with--all qualities that make people highly amenable to their ideas.
10. They're Honest
Super successful people trust that honesty and integrity, though painful at times, always work out for the best in the long run. They know that honesty allows for genuine connections with people in a way that dishonesty can't and that lying always comes back to bite you in the end. In fact, a Notre Dame study showed that people who often lied experienced more mental health problems than their more honest counterparts.
11. They're Grateful
Ultra successful people know that it took a lot of ambition, passion, and hard work to get where they are in life. They also know that their mentors, colleagues, families, and friends all played a huge role in their success. Instead of basking in the glory of achievement, super successful people recognize others for the wonderful things they've done for them.
12. They're Appreciative
Truly exceptional people are able to achieve so much because they know the importance of slowing down and appreciating everything they already have. They know that a huge amount of their positivity, grit, and motivation comes from their ability to stay grounded and appreciate the opportunities that life has given them thus far.
Bringing It All Together
These habits can make any of us more successful if we use them every day. Give them a try and see where they take you.
