Message From the Universe: Never Settling for Less Than What You Deserve

Young woman thinking with pen while working / studying at her desk

"As surely as mountains are to be climbed and oceans sailed, your dreams are meant to come true. This is why you're here, to live the life of your dreams. Not to be tested, challenged, and tried, but to conquer, champion, and rule. Keep going, forge ahead, press on, and the day must dawn when your thirsts shall be quenched, and you, exalted.

Never settle for less, don't ever think it's too late, and never, ever, ever compromise a dream.

Exalting you early,
The Universe"

This is definitely a message that I needed today. Being an entrepreneur, with all 14 projects that I juggle on a daily basis, there are times where I question myself as to the direction that I need to take to bring them all to completion. As a business owner, no one is really telling me if the path taken is the right one. I go with the flow, studying the different options and choosing the best one among the many offered. I am not always sure if that chosen one will optimize the end results so I sometimes just take a guess and follow my gut instinct. However, at the end of my tunnel, I do see light. Even though that light is barely enough to clear my path to success, it is still there. The hope that every of my endeavor will eventually break free and help me reach my goals is giving me that energy to push forward no matter what obstacle in front of me.

I know I can't control any of the outcome of my endeavors and live my life in the edge of my seat, with no security blanket, NO salary, NO steady income, NO guarantee whatsoever. Life presents NO certainty whatsoever, and the same goes for relationships. If you expect something to happen and focus too much on that one thing, you will end up being very disappointed. Do not live your life around the hope that your significant other will be with you forever and start developing insecurities in the relationship. You will end up damaging what can be something great to a guaranteed demise and destruction. Let the relationship develop and go with the flow. Do not worry about the "if's" and the "how's", focus on the NOW. It will help you guarantee a more peaceful life.

The Thirteen-Minute Article (It Took Me Ten Minutes To Write, Three To Edit) (By Joshua Clayton)

Grayscale Photography of Person Holding Pen

This article will take me ten minutes to write, but a lifetime to apply for us all! With that said, I will start typing the body of the article from here. Think about it, we all take actions. We must take profitable actions in every moment we can, though. In existence and life (in that order), we either take actions that are beneficial to us or not. The best actions are the most profitable, and the worst actions genuinely waste the most time.

Anything that lifts our lives and realities to higher levels is good, except when we cheat at it. What I mean by cheating is taking irrational short cuts, whatever they may be. Whether it is basic lying to ourselves at a very deep level or "getting away with it in the eyes of other people, but not our own"; reality has a way of working with us making sure we pay what we need to pay or get our just reward for whatever we do. Indeed, at every genuine level it really is an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Think about this fact for a moment and you shall see, I can hope I am wrong with "everyone else", but I know that I am on point with those facts: There are not any genuine free lunches or tricks we can play to get something for nothing, but somewhere we pay and benefit to the measure we give or take genuinely.

Dealing with reality seems like dealing with nickels, dimes and pennies of energies, does it not? Well, it is. Those who do not cheat genuinely get rich from this way of dealing with things. Those who do cheat have to pay sometime whether they "know" or "do not know" what the price is. In thought and reality, the honest person is right, and the dishonest person is wrong. Indeed, though, who wants to admit that basic fact, especially where "larceny" is involved.

I know, this is a scary, hairy article for those that keep the truth and honest reality submerged, but for those that are close to understanding, I say keep going and you will get it. If anything, I encourage you with my freak like, consciously realistic and honest self.

Yesterday, before I wrote this article, I felt so overwhelmed that I felt like cheating in a very small, but large way, but I did not. So, I end with this: I put this article under "goal setting" to say, make it a goal to be honest with yourself. You may regret it short term, but you will not regret it long term. I can honestly promise.

Questions to Ask About Your Value System

Woman in Black Tank Top and Blue Denim Jeans

What is your value system?

Questions to ask about your value system.

Is your goal aligned with your highest values? Why is that important?

Today's opportunities are endless. Guess what, all of them work! The question is: will it work for you? Let me ask you a better question: Will YOU make it work? Let me help you to clarify important questions you need to ask yourself about values!

It does not matter where in your stage of life you are right now. Maybe you have already made a choice and still feeling like success is nowhere?

There are many reasons why you can not succeed and people are more and more honest with themselves. They do not blame others or the system, they know it's something they don't do, they haven't tried yet or they don't know yet.

People keep changing and trying different things. Signing up for more and more courses, another online program, joining different groups with the hope it will get them where they want to be. They are looking for the help to make them do it. To have accountability, somebody to check on them, to give them that push!

Yes, it all helps. We all need to learn, get the support and guidance to get there as fast as possible. As long as you are not jumping from one thing to another one.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I was the same. I even think that it's almost necessary to try and test different things to find out if it's the right fit for you or not.

Why is the answer in your value system?

Your goal has to be aligned with your highest values. Otherwise, you don't want it badly enough. What does it mean in your language? You actually don't want it!

Yes, mentally you get it. It all makes sense, your brain understood why you need to do it, but if your subconscious, your inner voice is not convinced, you are not going to do it. You just created inner conflict within you and a self-blaming cycle for not doing things you know you SHOULD do.

Your brain maybe wants it but deep down inside of you, the inner you don't want it.

You have not found the real reason that would align with your highest values and connected tasks to your goal.

If you really want something, you always find the way. It does not mean it is going to work on the 1st time or that you won't have any challenges, that you won't have to stretch yourself.

It means that you won't stop if it doesn't work on the 50th try. No obstacle or challenges will stop you. You will keep going because it is the part of who you are and it makes you feel good.

The real problem is that people actually don't know what they really want! They compare themselves to the illusion or fake pictures what they should have or should do because everyone else around them has or do that. Many people are afraid to face the reality, the real them.

If you are aligned with the real you and your highest values, you won't need any push, you won't procrastinate and every day you will wake up with the main thought: "how to make it work, what else can I improve, how can I help others".

What is the solution?

1. Be honest with yourself.

2. Know yourself, get clear on your values by taking your FREE value test here.

3. Do what you love, what inspires you, what you would do for free and doing it anyway - your life is the clear indication of where your real values are. If you do something only for the sake of money, you won't last too long.

4. Not all tasks which you have to do to get you where you want to be are fun, enjoyable. But they need to be done. Especially at early stages when you have to do everything by yourself because of the limited budget.

Write down at least 50 reasons why and how this particular task can help you and will get you to another level. Once you are clear on its benefits and connect the task with your goal, your why, all tasks become suddenly easier and more enjoyable to perform. Once you understand how much it helps you on your journey to get you where you want to be. If it does not help and the concrete task is unbearable, then simply outsource it. You rather focus your energy and time on things you love and are good at it.

5. Be nice to yourself. Your current step you have taken so far doesn't have to be your destiny yet but certainly will open up another door, new opportunities for you. Eventually. So keep your options open and keep going:-).

6. Your value system changes as you grow and get older. So remember to take your test every now and then to make sure you do your priority task and living a fulfilled life.

Are You Persistent and Audacious? Jerry Weintraub's Story (By Rand Golletz)

Until his death a couple of years ago, Jerry Weintraub was a legend (in his own time) in the entertainment business. The consummate showman, he promoted concerts (including Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, etc.) and produced movies (including Nashville, Diner, Ocean's 11, 12, 13, The Karate Kid).

From Rich Cohen in Vanity Fair at the time of Weintraub's death:

"He came out of New York in the early 60s with nothing but his wit and charm and wild desire to experience all life has to offer. He ended up with the fame and wealth and property and the rest of it, but mostly the man had friends. He knew everyone. He was everyone's key guy. He was the guy behind the guy. He was the guy behind the guy behind the guy. And the guy behind that.

The news of his death, at whatever age Jerry was claiming at the time - like his favorite kind of weather, it was usually somewhere in the high 70s to low 80s - comes as a great shock and a sick joke. There will never be another like him. It took the perfect parents in the perfect neighborhood at the perfect moment to create Jerry Weintraub. If you accompanied him on a verbal jag, you never forgot the voice. Yes, there were the flashing eyes and the broad shoulders and the big hands and the huge laugh and the oddly patrician grin, but mostly there was the voice. Funny, wise, sardonic, and warm, it got in your head and stayed there. Even now, when I'm about to cop out or give up or give in, I hear it: "Don't be a schmuck. Keep going. It's gonna be great."

As is the case with most successful people, his backstory wasn't all glamour and riches. He was a grinder, initially toiling in New York City with two partners and booking mostly second-tier entertainers into small venues. Eventually those two partners moved to Los Angeles and opened a west coast office. Weintraub followed them some time later. Fast forward.

Elvis Presley had spent the 1960s largely out of the public eye. He made records and films, but for eight years he made no concert appearances - NONE! Jerry had the bold idea to take Elvis on tour. He knew no one connected to Elvis but somehow managed to acquire the phone number of Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis's legendary manager.

He called the Colonel and explained what he wanted to do. Parker listened and politely said "no thank you!" For the next YEAR, Weintraub called Colonel Parker EVERY DAY. Somehow he believed that eventually the Colonel would give in.

One day Jerry's phone rang, and it was Parker. "You still want to take my boy on tour?" he asked. After getting off of the floor, Weintraub answered "of course." Then Colonel Parker proceeded to tell Jerry that if he wanted to do it, he should show up in Las Vegas with a million dollars (when a million dollars was a ton of money) at a specific time - sort of a down payment. Jerry agreed but there was one big problem: He didn't have a million dollars, and he knew no one who would give him the million, let alone within the tight time frame the Colonel demanded.

He got on the phone and called everyone he knew. No luck. Finally a friend in New York mentioned that he knew a guy in Seattle with a lot of money who also happened to be an Elvis fan. Jerry called him and after proposing the idea, the guy agreed to send him a million dollars. No contract; no guarantees; totally unsecured.

Weintraub asked the guy to wire a cashier's check to a bank in Las Vegas made out to Elvis Presley but to his (Weintraub's) attention. Jerry then drove to Las Vegas and on the prescribed day and time, he checked to see if the money had arrived; it had not. He then called Colonel Parker and asked for a bit more time. The Colonel agreed. The money arrived a short time later.

He delivered the check to the Colonel. They agreed to a 50/50 split on tour proceeds.

At the conclusion of the wildly successful tour, the Colonel and Jerry met in Parker's hotel room to have a toast and debrief. Weintraub saw several suitcases and assumed they contained clothing. One at a time Parker emptied each on a large table. They contained cash. Lots of cash. Millions of dollars.

Weintraub inquired as to where the money came from. The Colonel said that this was the proceeds from the sale of tee shirts, key chains, programs, and other memorabilia.

Jerry had never seen that much cash and as he stared, the Colonel swung his cane over his head like an axe and swung it down through the money, dividing it in half with a theatrical gesture. He pushed one pile of money to one side, and the other pile to the other side. He then said that the money on one side was Jerry's, and the money on the other side was his and Elvis's.

He looked at Weintraub and said: "I know we didn't discuss this, but we're partners, and you should get half of everything." That half was several million dollars.

At the beginning of the tour, Jerry was not a wealthy man. At the end, he was a multi-millionaire. His success fueled his confidence and ambition. He became one of the most successful impresarios in show business, managing talent, promoting concerts and producing movies. Quite a story, and quite a guy.

My questions for you: When was the last time you bet on yourself and took a big leap? Do you have a vision for your business and life that is big and bold, or are you content being just "OK?" Are you comfortable asking for help when you need it - financial or otherwise - or are you consumed by fear? Does the voice in your head (we all have one) speak to you in possibilities or limitations; with boisterous exuberance or timid whispers? Are you persistent, and do you persevere regardless of the obstacles in your way?

The Golden Words For A Successful Life

It is pretty obvious that when we use golden words to our advantage, we get a better chance for a successful life. These words which work like magic push us to keep going and not quit. Yet, too many of us give up too soon when it comes to sticking with a change or a brand-new thing in our lives.
Why do people decide to make a change then just give up? What makes it happen? What is the reason that pushes them to quit on things? Have you ever given up on something in your life?

At times, I know I did. We begin by getting excessively happy and fascinated to chase something we just set for ourselves. It feels like it is worth it, that it will work out, but after a while, we come across barriers standing in our way. Then our emotions get the best of us, the dream fades away, we are disappointed, forget the golden words, and so we give up.

So, how do successful people keep going while the others call it quits? Well, it is because we live in a generation where instant gratification is the 'new style.' Therefore, most people are impatient as they judge that things are just taking too long or getting too complicated.

Patience, time, hard work, sacrifices are a part of the process for any successful life. Failing, making mistakes and going through hell is going to happen no matter what we do. It is in those times of hardship that golden words come even more into play.

In life, many things do not go according to plan. If you fall, get back up. When you stumble, regain your balance. Never give up. Do not quit. Keep going. Those are golden words you could use to push yourself through when you encounter fences, walls, barriers, and obstacles in life.

Using Inspirational Words
We all need such inspirational and motivational words made of gold to start, keep going and reach our goals. The barriers in front of you will not cease to exist, but you sure can prepare yourself. Therefore, you have two choices:

  • Keep going and overcome the walls, obstacles, doubts, and fears you get.
  • Give up, quit and walk away.

So, using any golden words can keep you strong and motivated in any situation in life. Know that your feelings frequently get in the way and try to take control as you face difficulties. These emotions are not doing you any good, so you have to use powerful phrases to get a boost and keep a move on.
The Essential Golden Words
We all use golden words of motivation to drive us further in life or through something we believe in. Do you ever give up when things became too hard? If the answer is yes, why do you?

I know we all did at some point in time. But next time, do not quit. Stay on track. Follow one course until successful. Below are my top golden words for you to use anytime you feel like starting something, pushing through and keeping at it until completion.

Believe in Yourself
The first golden words and the number one rule for success are to believe in yourself. You need to believe beyond doubt that you can do it. Not just on the beginning, but all the way through. So, repeat "I believe in myself" and trust in your abilities.

Next time someone tells you that it is impossible or you cannot do it, prove them wrong. Learn about and copy successful people. It is time to awaken the warrior within you.

Be Determined
The next golden word you should get is "I am determined." You determine to get through barriers that will make you a successful individual. If you can keep going, be determined, push on with your efforts, and do not quit, you will inevitably arrive where you want.

Remember that all you worked so hard for will be gone the instant you choose to quit. So, be like the wolf climbing the hill, coming to get what you came for, and always hungry for more.

Be Grateful
Know that no matter how hard your life now is, the moment will pass. Therefore, be thankful in any circumstances, even the most difficult ones. The phrase "I am grateful" is of those golden words that keep you in a positive state while problems arise.

I know it is not easy, but you have to focus on cultivating gratefulness, and your life will change. Do it even when your life is good or not so good. Do not settle for anything else.

Keep Going
Time is often necessary. Things will not happen overnight. You just have to keep going and find a more efficient or even another way to go forward. The golden words "keep going" should often be used and kept in your repertoire. Focus on them when you have a hard time, think there are no more avenues or feel like giving up.

Do not underestimate the power of these unique words which can help you complete specific goals. Just like the soldier in the film "Hacksaw Ridge" that keeps going all night to save as many of his injured fellow combatants as he can. And says to himself "just one more." Therefore, be the hero of your own story.

Stay Strong
"Stay strong" is another of those golden words you should keep in mind. The road to success is everything but an easy one. If something is harder than you thought, it is time to stay strong and keep going.

Staying strong will help you progress so that over time, things will get easier. Do not be discouraged if things are not going your way. Remember: the goals we are most proud of are the most challenging.

Be Patient is also a Golden Word
Great things take time, but nowadays everyone is a hurry to get. Most people want instant gratification. But remember this golden word: "Be patient." Anything worthwhile creating takes a lot of time, and each thing has a natural time to come into life.

Be Always Inspired
You have to always be inspired, so just imagine your end goal, and continually remember why you are doing what you are doing. Remember what do inspire you in the first place about your goal and focus on the golden words "I am always inspired."

When you begin a project, make a change or create something new, you feel captivated, inspired and all pumped up. After a while, these emotions start to wear off, and you realize it is not that easy. So always keep your inspiration boost up.

Face Fears
Another of those golden words is "I am not afraid, and I face my fears." Know that by facing your fears, you can leave your comfort zone. You can then grow and develop. Once you have obtained each milestone you set for yourself, you will be able to go even further.

Therefore, when you leave your comfort zone, you go beyond your limits and boundaries. You learn new skills and get more knowledge.

The Ultimate Golden Word: Never Giving Up
When you think that things should be easy, but they are harder than you thought, you may feel like quitting. That way, no more effort is necessary. You could give up, and no more problems. Welcome freedom!

One of the most famous golden words you need to have is "I never give up." All successful people do persist, keep going, move on even after failure and never give up. If you copy this mindset, you are well on your way to a successful life.

A Final Suggestion about Golden Words
A final suggestion is that you may have to repeat these golden words to yourself over and over, many times. You just have to do it until you get it becomes a natural part of you. And remember that your present conditions are not your definitive results.

A beautiful thing about golden words is that you can acquire and learn them. Stay strong. And do not be discouraged. Successful people always use the above phrases and keep going no matter what. You do not have to quit anything. Just know that you were born a winner!

Moving Forward in Life - Tips To Never Give Up

HD wallpaper: Keep Moving Forward, gray metal arrow decor, Aero ...
Moving Forward In Life

Life is going to knock you down because winning is not for everyone. Life will throw at you every punch, kick, bite and you either have the option to back down or take the punches.

Life is not your friend, so don't let it use you.

There is no stopping you. You have to get up from the ground and keep going. That is the only choice you have to succeed in life so badly. Don't stop, you are not a quitter, you are a person that keeps going, you can't stop, don't stop!

You must go on.

The only purpose you should live for is to reach your destination and your most truly desire. If you're persistent, there will be no one stopping you. Nothing will. You will reach your deepest desire if you don't stop and look back.

When you hear yourself whining, listen to yourself, that is a sign to keep going; it is crucial for you not to stop. This is your moment to shine and remind yourself that you have a purpose to carry out; a reason to live!

You have to keep your eye on the goal; nothing else matters there shouldn't be anything to distract you from your desire. If you are sidetracked which must surly come, get back on track, remind yourself why you should do what you are doing and keep going.

Keep going, that is the only thing you can do in life. You will not see results immediately, and this may frustrate you, but keep going don't let anything get in your way.

The only thing you should have in your mind is your desire. Quitting is not for us, do not think about quitting or looking back, keep going, sooner or later you will see what you're searching and working for.

Going The Extra Step

You have to do the impossible. Those who succeed and reach their desires go the extra step by doing the impossible. You have to become the impossible.

You have to be that person. You are that person. You're capable of becoming the impossible. Look around you; there are many individuals who have done the impossible, and they're happy. Become that happy person by transforming yourself into someone whom no one has ever thought you could be.

That is how you will reach success.

Secondly, doing the impossible, is the only way you will distinguish yourself among the rest. In addition, remind yourself that you are not a mediocre. You are the best, want to become the best, and you most of all deserve the best. You have done so much in your life to earn what you deserve. Fight for it; it's yours. It has your name; now is the time to claim it.

Do what no one has ever done before. It's in you.

The Impossible

I know what you're thinking, "That's impossible to do." Yes no!

The impossible is impossible for them, but not you. You are different; you're working to be that 1% that changes their life, and you have something to prove and become the best and live better.

What is impossible? Look at the word; it's you.

Impossible spells "I-M possible". You are possible.

It is possible for you to reach your closest desires, your dreams, goals, etc. Impossible is I'm-possible of everything. That is you. You are possible.

And you have to believe so much in it that you will be reaching your goal. You have to remind yourself that anytime you feel that something is impossible for you, what you should be telling yourself is I'm possible!

You are possible.

Strong Desire

This is the last point for reaching a peace of mind.

You have to want it so bad. You have to want to spend time every day, every hour, every week and willing to sacrifice the most you can because you believe it's right for you.

What will get you there is believing that you deserve a better quality of living. You want the best for yourself spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally.

You have to change it.

One Big Secret To Having More Energy And Why You Need It

To Have More Energy We Need To Fuel Our Bodies And Our Minds

I was working with a group of business owners recently discussing their goals and aspirations and how to plan for them. I always begin with their vision for life, but inevitably we end up discussing the 'energy' it takes to start, keep going, stay balanced, appreciate your achievements, and do everything else that's required too. I believe this is especially important for women. Because I believe this is fundamental to all aspects of life, and to everyone, not just those in business I thought I'd share my thoughts here.

Remember, you need to put fuel in your car if you're going on a journey!

When your energy is running low and you can't keep going you could feel any number of these things:

Overwhelmed
Tired
Lacking enthusiasm
Not feeling in the flow
Lacking empathy, intuition or spirituality
What's the point?
No / low motivation
It's all just a bit too much
Things happen to you instead of everything falling in to place
You can't hear yourself think - let alone that quiet inner intuitive voice
One step forwards, two steps backwards
and plenty more.
If you feel like this - or similar - or if you just want to ensure you never do, you can do something to help you have more energy.

The Secret Is That You Need To Find The Right Combination Of Fuel To Keep You Going
It doesn't matter whether you have a massive life goal, a business idea, a busy family to look after, or anything else, we all need to look after ourselves first in order to do all the things that life demands. Or that we demand of ourselves.

I think there are four absolute essentials that no-one can continue to function without addressing.

Sleep - Are you getting enough? This is so important. Everyone is different but we all need a decent amount of good quality sleep overnight to ensure we are functioning at our optimum. It helps us to process all the things that go on inner lives, and also to regenerate physically. Personally I need 7 1/2 to 8 hours sleep. Ask yourself are you getting enough uninterrupted sleep? If not, is there anything you can do to help with the situation. I'll be writing more on this in the next few weeks, so watch this space!

Hydration - There is a consensus that 8 8 ounce glasses a day (about 1.9 litres) will keep you hydrated, improve your skin condition etc. There is also a school of thought that as your body is a self-regulating system you should go with the thirst trigger - i.e. when you're thirsty have some water. There is also conflicting opinion about what you should drink - just water, or does tea and coffee count? (there's even one study that shows beer can count but personally I'm not convinced this is such a great idea!) You can only go by what feels good to you. I personally know that when I drink 2 litres of (just) water or a combination of water and fruit/herbal teas, a day I feel more awake, have more energy and sleep better. I'll be doing some more research on this so keep an eye out. In the meantime, do you think you drink enough water? Be honest now, I know some people who go all day without a drink, is that you? What could you do to improve your hydration? Why not monitor it to see if it makes you feel better?

Nutrition - Food is the fuel that keeps our bodies and our minds functioning. If we under or overfill our tanks, we won't perform at out optimum. If we use diesel instead of unleaded we could have problems. Do you turn to high fat, high sugar snacks to get you through the day? Do you eat out of boredom, to procrastinate, or as a reward? Is this the best way to fuel yourself for all the things you want to or have to do in your life? Often the short cuts will have long term effects that we won't realise until it's too late. Lots of people say they can't eat breakfast. I was one of those people once, a long time ago. However, I know that if I fuel myself correctly in the morning I can get so much more done. This is especially important if I have a morning at the gym planned otherwise I won't make it through the classes. What changes could you make to improve the nutrition that your body receives?

Exercise - this may seem counter intuitive, but exercise really helps to improve your energy levels. If you can find the energy to exercise (eat good food!) then exercise will give you more energy to fulfill all the other things you want or have to do. It helps improve your mood, gets your heart and lungs pumping so you have more oxygen and nutrients being delivered to the cells of your body, you have more energy and stamina, and helps you to fall asleep faster, and have a better quality of sleep (just don't do it too late at night otherwise you'll be buzzing). I mix things up and change my exercise routines regularly. I love training with weights but the gym can be lonely, so currently I prefer classes, they are fun, you get to meet people and I think I work harder with a trainer in the room. I like high impact, cardio vascular training, but I also love yoga and dancing so I have a real mix of exercise going on, at least 4 times a week. What can you do to add some regular exercise in to your week? A brisk walk with the dog? What do you love to do? A dance class may be more appealing than a run.

What Happens If Your Car Runs Out Of Fuel?

Make Sure you Top Up Regularly To Ensure You Have More Energy to Keep Going.
These are my basic requirements to keep myself energised. I don't always succeed in all areas but I do know that if I feel a bit run down at any point, I'm missing at least one of them. There are two other slightly less basic needs that I have, and I believe most people do, so I'm going to cover them briefly.

Make Sure You Have Enough Alone Time As Well As Human Contact To Help Give You More Energy
When I spend a lot of time continuously with people, especially if I'm training or running a workshop I can eventually feel a bit drained. This happens for lots of reasons including simply the physical energy it takes to participate in the event. I know that I need some quiet time to myself to regenerate and get my energy levels back to normal. Meditation is great for this, as is getting out in nature, or even just a quiet cup of tea on my own without any other stimuli.

Conversely, too much time spent alone can drive me a little bit bonkers! When I'm home based and haven't had human contact for a while I can feel a bit low and de-energised. this is when I need to get out and remember that I'm part of the human race. Text messaging and email doesn't really solve it as it's silent, non-human contact. The gym helps, combining this element with exercise is brilliant but doesn't always fully fix the problems there's not as much interaction as I need. Grabbing coffee with a friend, having a good catchup on the phone, going to a social or business event, or rounding a few people up for a night out are great ways to feel that connection with others again.

Be honest, check in with yourself now and again and ask yourself, do I have enough energy to fuel my life, as I want it to be? Is there something missing? If in doubt, try it out. see what happens. Have you ever thought you wouldn't go to that class, or in that run, and then when you do you tell yourself off for forgetting how great it makes you feel? Remember those moments. Leave yourself notes if necessary!

Take the time to find your required fuel combination, and keep topped up to ensure you have more than enough energy to fulfil all the things you wish to in this life.

Holding On When You Can Hold On No Longer

Whenever we find ourselves on the seas of fury, tossed and thrown around, so ready to give up, we just have to find a way to keep going.

One more step... then one more...

With each step made is strength... found... from nowhere.

That's faith.

Faith is acquired as a necessity, an indispensable journeying companion, for hellish trips and fearful expeditions.

Courage is the meal faith dines on immediately before it enters intrepidly on the journey; a snack partaken of as fear rises up like a beach-breaking wave; a morsel for calming the nerve enough to keep going in blindness.

Keep going!

Tough as this quest is, tough as the present moment seems, and tough as endurance feels impossible, to keep going is possible. The options otherwise are untenable. We daren't go there! For hell is an abyss, a very certain spiral into a nether land of purposeless confusion.

But it's still impossibly hard.

Faith says that what seems impossibly hard is possible if we refuse to believe it's hopeless. A conviction of, and a commitment to, resolute cognition. Faith insists on believing upon the invisible; the barren wasteland makes way for a vision that is hoped for - that which we insist be seen!

Bring in hope, as if an abating of the winds, the calming of the swell, the ceasing of driving rains - at least as our mind's eye sees for the hope coming.

And it is tenacity that facilitates the break through, about the time we were, again, about to give it all up.

Faith believes in God when there is so much evidence - in our human minds - that God is a figment. And faith is confidence on loan in a vacuous hope; it will get us through if we don't give up.

Yes, so, whenever we find ourselves tossed and thrown on furious seas, so ready to abandon everything, we just have to find a way to keep going.

To keep going in the throes of hell is to go the way of hope and faith; the apparent denial of human reality in belief that God has a different plan.

To keep going when all seems utterly lost; that's courage, faith, hope, tenacity, and a determined resolve that waits on God.

To keep going is the only way to a certain victory.

Keep going. A harvest awaits. God is with you. All is not lost as it seems. Pray for serenity in the hopelessness, for strength from nowhere in weakness, and for poise under the extremities of pressure.
