When You Love Yourself First, Life Will Take Care Of The Rest

I want you to do something before reading this entire article.

It may confront you, but will be a major step towards self-acceptance.

Stand in front of a mirror and recite at least six times: "Your name, I love you."

Gaze into your eyes as you say it, being meaningful while you deliver the words.

Avoid looking away or staring at what is behind you through the mirror. Don't use the camera on your smartphone to do this exercise, let it be raw and simple.

OK, try the exercise now.

What did you notice?

What kind of feelings arose?

Could you hold your gaze and feel the words I love you?

Some people are reduced to tears when conducting this simple, yet powerful exercise.

Let's be honest, if you cannot love yourself how can you embrace the love of another person?

You are likely to feel unworthy, however you will still long for the love of another person.

That's where conflict arises.

When you love yourself, life takes care of the details because everything else is minor compared to the acceptance of one's self.

Granted, there are times when you don't feel loveable. This is normal and we all experience those moments. But self-acceptance is the foundation to living a complete life when you begin to show up with your whole self

Clinical neuropsychologist Mario Martinez writes in The MindBody Code: "I propose that abundance is not sustainable without a strong sense of self-worth. Why not? Because maintaining health, reaching wealth, and finding love require the capacity to accept that you are worthy of your good fortune."

The author touches on something important and that is worthiness. Your story of unworthiness is a tale assumed from others and reinforced over time, although this is not who you are.

It is a repeated affirmation and conceived narrative. You are no more that person than I am Superman. Sure, I might daydream to have super human powers, but when I return to reality I discover I am a man with insecurities and challenges just like the rest of us.

Nonetheless, I don't feed those doubts because I know what I give life to, whether the positive or negative gains power. I don't allow my challenges to overcome me but use them to reinforce my authentic power.

Stanford psychologist Shirzad Chamine explains in his book Positive Intelligence that we adopt ten saboteurs or internal enemies. One voice is The Judge, whose opinion is often mistaken for tough-love.

It continually finds faults with yourself through a self-justifying lie: "The Judge's most damaging lie is that we are not worthy of love or respect by just being who we are."

In a similar vein, it was the Sufi poet Rumi who wrote: "Your task is not to seek for Love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."

Which brings us back full-circle to the story title.

When you strip away the stories about who you think you are, underneath it you'll uncover your authentic self, which at its essence is pure love.

So, make it a practice to meet with yourself in the mirror on a daily basis and come to love and accept the person reflected back to you.

After all, when you love yourself first life will undoubtedly take care of the rest.

How to Teach People How to Treat You

Are you bombarded with obnoxious behavior from people in your everyday life. You don't need to suffer in silence for this. Show them how you want to be treated and they will treat you the same. What magic actually lies in here? Read on to find out.

The simple magic is that you treat people in a way you would like to be treated. Treat them with love, compassion, empathy and kindness. Leave them with a gorgeous smile of yours. How can they treat you badly after this? You will soon find the reflection of you in them.

Sometimes it's not you but others who react with anger and rude behavior, without letting you know what it is all about. It then becomes hard to decipher them. Ask them if there is some problem. If they refuse to cooperate, stay aloof and don't pay them attention. It will then be the case that they will be running after you to hold a gentle conversation.

Too many a time, other horrible incidents in people's lives make them behave badly towards you. It totally isn't your fault. In that case say as little as possible and outdistance yourself. You don't need to lose your mind talking to these people under such circumstances. You know they had a hard day. Say something polite and buzz away. And forgive them because they are not themselves at the moment. The next time you meet them, they will be the old good, jolly people and you can pursue a happy, worthy conversation with them.

One important tip I would like to give you is never talk ill of yourself to others. For example, "I don't look good", "I am not a good cook", "I am so stupid", "I am so fat" and the list goes on. People you talk to about you this way actually believe you and they will be repeating the same phrases to you in no short time. I can assure you that you wouldn't like it. But it is you who encouraged them to say such things. Nothing to worry. Correct yourself, think good about yourself and be kind to yourself and let others know by your actions what a great person you are. You don't need to brag and boast to prove you are worthy. Your daily actions will speak louder than your words.

Another important tip I would like to mention here is that don't ever confide in new friends and acquaintances that you have been treated badly by people in the past. Because they will believe those people and not you and think that you are not worthy of respect and start behaving ill. So it's best to keep your past in the past and not repeat it to anyone in the present good times.

Sometimes it is just a bad rumor set up by somebody spreading all over the complex you live or the office where you work. None of it is true. But how do you handle such a situation? Because it is spreading fast. Just hold on and pray from the core of your heart. Almighty God can fix everything for you. People will want to humiliate you because they get fun from it but almighty God will magnify you in wondrous ways. And then people will have nothing to say other than appreciate you at large.

So rude and ill behavior from people is not uncommon. It has happened to the best of us. Try to control the situation as much as you can and leave the rest to God and trust Him. Keep your own courtesies and behavior well all the time no matter what. God will be pleased and justify the situation for you. There isn't always much to worry, gotcha?

Self-Acceptance: What It Is And The Best Ways To Get It

Accepting yourself is the initial step to developing self-confidence. It's not possible to feel favorable about yourself if you can't even accept yourself. Self-acceptance is the level of happiness and complete satisfaction you have with yourself.

Numerous mental health professionals think that self-acceptance is essential prior to change taking place. If you're feeling stuck, a lack of self-acceptance may be the first challenge to overcome. Accepting your flaws allows you to fix and change them.

Learn how to accept yourself and take pleasure in the unique individual you are:

1. Release your parents' behavior. Some parents are better than others. Extremely critical moms and dads do not have bad kids, they're simply poor at parenting. There's little to be gained by giving your parents a hard time for their inadequacies. The solution is to forgive them and release yourself from the past.

Avoid evaluating yourself based on the parenting you received. It's a reflection of them, not you.

2. Volunteer. There's no simpler method to persuade yourself that you're worthy of self-acceptance than to volunteer your time with someone that needs you. Show to yourself how fantastic an individual you are. There are numerous chances to offer help in your community.

3. Be proud of your strengths. It's hard to accept yourself if you're constantly reminding yourself of your weaknesses. Make a long list that you can return to in the future. List every favorable thing you can about yourself. Even the tiniest positive quality deserves mention.

" I am a good person."

" I can play the banjo."

" I am loyal to my friends."

4. Forgive yourself. If you're dwelling on your previous wrong-doings, self-acceptance will remain in short-supply. Chalk your bad choices up to experience and carry on. Everyone does the very best they can. There will always be moments where you're less capable than others. You can do much better next time.

5. Release goals that will never be reached. If you're 57 years of ages, your youthful dream of becoming an astronaut is over. It is. It's challenging to accept yourself when the life you're living does not align with what you had originally planned. There's a time to let it all go. Let the present minute be that time. Make new strategies that are plausible which excite you.

6. Get rid of negative self-talk. You can't accept yourself if you're continuously insulting yourself. Offer yourself a combating opportunity to reach a state of self-acceptance. Speak with yourself the same way you would speak with a friend. Be a friend to yourself.

7. Be authentic. When you put on a face for the world, you're not providing others the opportunity to accept you as you are. How will you have the ability to accept yourself? When you're authentic, the love you get feels considerably more significant. Living truthfully is scary, however remarkably easy. Individuals appreciate those with the strength to be authentic.

8. Recognize your worth to the world. Thankfully, this isn't really something that must be earned. You're born with it. How much could you contribute if you really applied yourself? The world needs you. What could say more of your intrinsic value than the fact that the world really needs you?

9. Forgive others. The ability to forgive others is proportional to your ability to forgive yourself. Practice forgiving others and you'll discover self-acceptance comes much easier.

Self-acceptance is an elegant term for tolerating yourself. Nobody is perfect. You accept your family and friends despite the fact that they're all flawed in a special way. Offer yourself the same consideration. Focus on your favorable qualities and forgive yourself for your flaws and mistakes. Accept yourself as you are.

Do You Have a Poverty Mindset? You Might Be Surprised. (From Sarah Prout)

The concept of ‘poverty mindset’ is to do with people that consciously sabotage themselves from flowing into the energy of abundance.
They might do this…
+ Never set foot in fancy stores because they don’t feel good enough to be in there
+ Never be able to save money or make more than they need
+ Always be jealous of what other people have
+ Feel that happiness is a destination and not a journey
+ State that they are in a “higher vibration” which is in a different location energetically than where money can be generated. Or any other kind of belief (or excuse) that causes separation from Oneness…
…and the list could go on and on…

This post is dedicated to people that need to rise up and feel worthy of all good things because… YOU ARE WORTHY!

The ‘poverty mindset’ can sneak into your awareness without you even realizing. So today I wanted to share some insight about how you can shift your dial to receive more prosperity and clear some money blocks once and for all…
My team and I get love notes and positive messages all the time about how much people love our products and the work we’re doing in the world to inspire others to live a great life. It’s such a beautiful energy that we have flowing in our direction, and I am always so humbled and grateful for the connection that is sparked within my readers. However, from time to time I get a small cluster of messages that question my marketing tactics, saying that it’s “cheesy” or “fake”…to which I sometimes take great offence, but instead decide to rise above it and see it for what it really is. FEAR.

If anything, feeling fearful or irritated by something is always an invitation from your soul to see beyond the illusion and do some stellar inner work.

“Spiritual” people often like to create a divide between themselves and others to make themselves feel more in control of their awakening and feel more superior…this totally misses the point. Quite frankly I see it as a load of bull-sheeto.
But before I begin, let me say that being ‘salesy’ is not something I have loved or felt comfortable with for very long. In fact, I hated it. As you might know, I run my company with my extraordinarily talented husband Sean Patrick Simpson. He is a marketing genius and has worked alongside some of the biggest names in personal growth. Sean and I have spent a hefty sum of money investing in our marketing skills and now we’re so proud to be injecting massive amounts of our revenue straight back into advertising. More than likely that’s how you found me.
Anyway…
There is an email in my “funnel” when you sign up for my newsletter or for one of my free gifts that is quite confronting. It asks you (point blank) why you haven’t taken me up on my offer to purchase a really low cost product that will help to transform your life. Yes, it’s a “sales tactic” but I have to breakthrough to you somehow in all of this online noise.
I’m not selling crack to children, trying to get your daughter to do webcam shows, I don’t work for the devil and my message isn’t ever going to make you not feel good enough in order to make a purchase. So in terms of MY marketing message being pushy, fake or disingenuous please know and TRUST that all of my products have been created with LOVE. All of them have been lovingly crafted though real life experiences and they invite you to map out a better life for yourself.
I’m not selling magic beans, I’m selling inspiration to love yourself on a deeper level.
However, time and time again I notice that people with a poverty mindset as opposed to a prosperity mindset are unable to invest in themselves or see beyond their own barrage of criticisms. It’s so confronting… and to be blatantly honest I’ve been experiencing this on a very personal level recently with my move to America.
In the last week we’ve bought a new car, moved into one of the most exclusive guard-gated communities in Vegas and we purchased thousands upon thousands of dollars of new furniture. This is a very very far cry from shopping at Thrift stores and picking up junk on the side of the road only 5 years ago in order to furnish my tiny apartment.
This week my poverty mindset jumped up and started telling me that I wasn’t worthy and it really does cause inner conflict. Whenever this happens the “haters” send more message too, but as Tay Tay reminds us: “Haters gonna, hate hate hate..”

The thing is, when you’re ready to make changes…and I mean super-empowering change in your life then resistance will rise up like wildfire in equal proportion to your desire to thrive.

You must learn how to rise above it. Once you do, the rewards are awesome.
You see, the Universe has these opposing forces that make themselves known when you’re on the brink of something huge. I know you know what I’m talking about here. One of the ways that the poverty mindset gets her drama fix is by questioning and criticizing others for the way they choose to promote their message. Once you spin this back to yourself, rather than projecting on other people your consciousness begins to blossom.
So when you see that someone has tactics that don’t work for you, then bless them and wish them well. It’s not for you and that’s cool. Move on. I am a HUGE believer in the process of alignment and I have always found that my manifesting students all over the world found me when they needed to.
Marketing is a vehicle for a message. Also, making money from your message is not wrong. It’s the way the world goes round. ALL of the teachers I know that have generated millions of dollars and impacted millions of lives have their marketing “deals” dialled in to get amazing results.

The fastest way to rise up out of having a poverty mindset is to be grateful and practice non-judgement.

When you make anything wrong, whether it’s marketing, sales tactics or the way that another person makes their money you actually block your own flow of prosperity.
Judgement will always stunt your progress.
To summarise, I’m not and never will trick you to part with your money to purchase my products. This is why we use a 60-day money back guarantee and I can tell you that our refund rate is super low. What I will do is ALWAYS create products that will inspire you, empower you and invite you to peel back the layers of your heart and figure out the direction you’re headed. My mission is to help you manifest your desires, but if my message doesn’t resonate with you or my marketing ticks you off… then I’ll never be offended if you choose to look the other way.
Choose prosperity.

Why We're Attracted To People Who Are Wrong For Us

I'm asked this question all the time: "Why am I attracted to people who are wrong for me?" And the answer is quite simple, actually:
Because your wounded self is doing the attracting.
Now, I know the term "wounded self" can sound a little intense, so let me explain. We all have two selves: the "little self" (or the wounded self, the ego) and the "Spiritual Self" (the higher self, adult self, or soul).
The wounded self is the part of you that feels incomplete. It questions your worth and value; it doesn't feel whole, or it feels flawed in some way. My wounded self is the "little me" who wonders if I'm truly lovable.
On the other hand, we also have a Spiritual Self. This is your higher self, your soul. It's the part of you that's connected to love, truth, wisdom and peace within. Your Spiritual Self knows, without a doubt, how lovable and valuable you are. In many ways, it's the opposite of the ego.
At any given time, we are operating from one of these two selves. Many of us, unfortunately, operate from the viewpoint of the ego most of the time. That is, we believe we're insignificant and powerless in some way, and we're trying to make up for this lack.
The ego looks for things on the outside to find validation and completion. It believes once it gets more (money, a better partner, a better job, a better house, more vacations, etc…) it will finally be happy.
But … it's never happy. Not for long, anyway. Because the ego's very nature is to feel incomplete. Therefore when you live through the perspective of your ego, you're destined to feel like something's missing. Life through this lens is not very fun.
The ego gets highly activated when it comes to romantic relationships, because relationships are where we hold the most wounding.
We've all felt disappointed or hurt by a relationship in the past; we carry the memory of this wound into adulthood (sometimes unconsciously). If a wound from childhood is still active within you, you'll attract people who are going to highlight the same feeling. For example, if your wounding is centered around feeling rejected or unseen, it's likely that you'll feel a similar way in your relationships as an adult.
Your unconscious is programmed to attract people who activate your wounds. The reason for this is so you'll grow.
This is a frustrating part of the growth process! But think of it this way: You're replaying your wounds so you can finally heal them. We cannot heal anything we don't feel or see; we can't heal things that are unconscious! The uncomfortable feeling has to come to the surface for you to grow beyond it.
And how do you grow beyond it?
By identifying with your higher self.
Remember, your higher self is the part of you that knows the truth about you. It knows that you are worthy, amazing, capable, and powerful. Through the lens of the higher self, you are whole. Yes, you're an imperfect human with flaws; but the larger truth is: you're a soul.
You're beautiful.You're important.You're special.You're love.
This is what the higher self knows about you — and it wants you to know it, too.
By identifying with your higher self (the love within you), your compulsion to play out wounds with other people dissipates and in some cases, disappears.
When you wake up to the higher self's truth, you suddenly realize that the "wrong" people were just teachers to nudge you into the "right"state-of-mind; a state-of-mind that does not question your value or worth. Unfortunately, nothing inspires us to grow more than a broken heart.
Your higher self wants you to identify with it; it wants you to own who you really are. Reclaim the love within you, and you'll heal your relationships from the inside-out.
