Changing The Direction Of Your Destiny

In our previous article; You Control Your Destiny, and the article before that; Seven Fences That Bind And Separate Us, we spoke about the limitations and negative qualities we need to overcome in order to simply be a better person, and have a better life.

This article will continue in that theme with the next step of the process; what to become after, and while in the process, of removing the negative qualities.

Destiny, as we discussed, is formed by the combination of the powers that control us, that make each of us who we are based on the combination of how much each of the powers controls us.

This means that Destiny is not an individual being of it's own personality and fixed as it is, but is a fluid and constantly changing being with a plan that changes from moment to moment.

Recycling glass is the easiest analogy. When a glass object is recycled, the first step is to break and destroy the item, then melt the glass and form it into a new item.

I will divert and refer to the Kaballah to relate my analogy to this ancient mystical teaching. In the Kaballah it says that God created the perfect vessels. That could be other gods or our soul or some spiritual being that we cannot, and at this point do not need to, comprehend.

But the problem was, being created perfect, they were not actually perfect because they did not use free will to choose what to become, there was no challenge. As Nietzsche said; "What does not kill me, makes me stronger." We all know this to be true.

And so, God broke the perfect vessels He created so that they could use free will to reassemble themselves, and thus having used free will in the challenge to overcome the difficulties, they would be truly perfect and worthy of being Gods.

The breaking is by putting the seven powers, which are the negative qualities we have to overcome, to create our destiny. As we overcome them, we are in the process of reassembling our self, the vessel, and gain greater control to change our destiny, but, it does not end there.

What's Next?

The next step is to build the positive qualities. They will create a new Destiny, a new being of it's own personality and character, who will bring a new set of life opportunities.

Yes it's true, you can imagine Destiny to be an angelic being watching over you, or you can simply use logic and see that if you are a good, reliable person, that you will get many more opportunities and have better friends than if you are a selfish, arrogant ass.

Every coin has two sides. We have explored the negative side and now let's explore the positive one.

These are the Seven Qualities, that we must cultivate to create a new Destiny that will guide our life.

  • Wisdom. To know what is right at each moment rather than your own opinion, and act for the best interests instead of your own.
  • Understanding. To be objective of the situation, instead of seeing what you want to see, which closes your mind to the facts.
  • Counsel. To advise, or just listen to their feelings, with compassion.
  • Knowledge. The more you know of more things, makes your mind creative by being able to draw from a great diversity of possibilities, making you able to solve all problems.
  • Fortitude. The strength to stand strong in the face of disaster. As Kipling said in his poem, 'If'. "If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you... " Stand up when you are knocked down, as many times as that happens, and nothing can truly beat you down. This is how to develop detachment from possessions and events that control you, This is to have true power over your life.
  • Integrity. One of the most important qualities because we all need someone we can rely on. A person with Integrity is the one who inspires courage and is trusted when others fail.
  • Responsibility. The most important quality as everyone avoids accepting the truth about themselves because that means, you cannot rely on anyone, even yourself. Accepting responsibility for everything in your life, all your actions and decisions, the good and the bad, makes you the one everyone can trust and turn to. It's the spark that ignites the power for you to control your Destiny. This quality is the difference between strong and low self-esteem and self-confidence.

The start of this change from the negative powers to the positive qualities which control your mind, emotions and actions, is with taking responsibility that you, and only you, are and always have been the one making the final decisions.

Destiny can only bring you the events, the opportunities, but you are the one who chose what to do, or not do, in each situation, every moment of your life.

Take responsibility for the events of your life, for your Destiny. Weaken the Seven Powers that control you and strengthen these Seven Qualities.

This is how you will give birth to and create a new Destiny who you can command to bring you a new life

Ethicalism is simply a collection of ethics and practical exercises to help apply them in our life. In conducting ourselves such that we will live a satisfying and purposeful life, we strengthen our individuality and self-esteem, while opening up to deeper connections with ourself and others.

Is There Destiny, Luck, or Opportunity? (By Kit Gupta)

The news about my boss Andy giving his two-week notice spread like wild fire in the department. Everyone who reported to him was apprehensive about who and what the next guy would be like. Will the new guy be better or worse than Andy? Everybody was concerned about how this change would affect them, including other managers that worked with Andy. Two weeks after Andy was gone, as I was working on the production floor, one of the technicians came up to me and said, "So I heard you have a new boss now."

"Do I?" I inspected some plastic parts coming off a molding machine and replied softly.

"You didn't get the news yet? You and I will both be working for Shaun now," he said as he scrunched up his face in discontent.

"Is it that bad?" I inquired.

"I don't know how much you've worked with him, but he doesn't deserve to be a manager," he added, "The stars were lined up just right for him and the timing of it was right. That's the only reason why he became our boss."

While speaking to an event at Trinity University in Dublin, Ireland, I posed a question to my young audience. I asked if every single thing that they had in their life till date was because of their own action. Some agreed, while most nodded their head with disapproval. Upon continuing my discussion, some of the audience described that they're fortunate to have somethings in their life that they just got and never had to work for it. When I inquired what they thought gave them those things that they're so appreciative of, they used the words luck, destiny, and opportunity.

I want to share what I think about luck, destiny, or opportunity using the personal experience I shared in the beginning with you about my boss Andy and his departure. Andy made a conscious decision to quit and move somewhere else. So Andy created what he wanted through his action. However, Andy's action also resulted in creating a vacant spot in the department. It'll be foolish to say that Shawn intended that.

Did Shawn get the position because of his own action?

One may argue that just like Andy, Shawn made a conscious decision of taking the position, so he created what he wanted through his action. Yes. But one intricate component of this scenario is that the decision made by one person (Andy) impacted what the other person (Shawn) got. That is what we call is destiny, luck, or opportunity.

Every one of us experiences this phenomenon in our personal relationship or professional career at some point of time in our life. Think of experiences in your life or someone you know. That relationship that you so deeply desired with someone, but it never worked out (or when it did workout flawlessly). The job or promotion in your career that you so yearned for and worked hard for, never came to fruition (or when it turned out exactly the way you intended it to). Undeniably, there is some lack of control that we all experience with people and events in every scenario of our life. But it is this same lack of control that plays a significant role in the decisions we make (or don't) which ultimately dictates what we get (or don't) in all domains of our life. This unknown or "out-of-our-control" aspect of our life is destiny, luck, or opportunity. However there is key component that keeps our destiny, luck or opportunity alive. Only when we act does our destiny, luck, or opportunity has a possibility to work as well. All beings (plants, animals, you and I) at every level of evolution follow this principle. If all the ingredients necessary for the growth of a seed are available to it, however, if it does not do what it must do to sprout, irrevocably, it stays in the same state it was in. Whatever you choose to call "it": destiny, luck, or opportunity without your action, the fate of your luck, destiny, or opportunity is dead.

Conditional Trust Taking a Pass on Destiny

How human it is to set a goal, decide what we need to achieve it and offer up a prayer advising all the things we need for victory, one that claims advance victory only to learn that the rules were not, 'Let's make a deal, but rather 'This is the deal.' Conditional trust is common in our lives, this means we trust completely if we can see and control the outcome. With this approach the greatest good we can ever receive is limited by what we can see and believe. Thankfully the hand of one much more powerful than us guides us through life, one that can see much farther. This hand controls our destiny if we let go and allow it. And so, many times the answer is, 'No deal.'

Conditional trust, no matter where it is applied, attempts to control outcomes. Unconditional trust means we are mature enough to accept results even when we do not understand them. That resounding 'No' that was so disappointing was not random. It was a directive to be still and allow something much better to enter the scene. That something will launch you to a new level in your destiny; your life plan may be much bigger than you can imagine. It is also a reminder that the things your 'must haves' make you vulnerable to limiting wrong turns and can be used against you. Be careful when you make your 'must have' list in life.

It takes courage to accept a 'No' for something that seemed so perfect and is important. Yet difficulties challenge us to grow, to look beyond the obvious. Difficulties do not defeat, they promote. A part of great success is learning to trust the life process, to stand where we are with a good attitude.

Every person has a purpose, an opportunity to grow and something to do. We did not haplessly enter life to float about like an untethered canoe in the ocean of life. We are here to be bold, to snatch opportunity from the hands of fate and victory from the claws of defeat. We need to find joy in the journey. We came to win. We are encouraged to dream and to hold tightly to your dreams, even while we are asked to cling loosely to the method of realizing those dreams. We cannot have an attachment to the process of winning.

Destiny lies before you like a distant horizon line. When you approach it with conditional trust the expanse is narrowed to what you can see clearly leaving so many opportunities you could not see scattered to the winds. Dare to believe and you will be amazed at what you can achieve!

The Tiny Small Decisions Leading Right Up To Destiny (By Dash Trembley)

So exactly 1 year ago, I walked right into a swimming marathon competition and it was one of the best "accidental moments" of my life.

I was deciding whether to join a yoga competition for many weeks then. I participated the year before, and I really wanted to see my progress for my second year of practice. But I wasn't attached to or practicing at any affiliate studio at that time and it would be necessary to do so and my schedule did not permit me to come home early to do that.

So that Saturday morning, just two days before the yoga competition's deadline, I felt like taking a long walk to the swimming complex near my house and go for a swim and it was a really uncanny and unusual decision because I would never deliberately plan to carry out my physical routines on a weekend. It was always between Mondays to Fridays. Period.

But I knew it was inspired action so I went ahead anyway. When I arrived at the entrance, the entire complex was sealed off. There was a charity event going on and hence the 3-hour marathon was organized to attract sponsors. I guess it was no accident that I walked right into another one.

I was given 2 choices. I either sign up and join the competition and enter the pool as a competitor, or I had to turn around and go back home and not be allowed to have my swim that day. When I say I took a long walk, I really meant it in a literal way. I have taken a whole forty-five minutes walk to reach there, so of course, the choice was pretty obvious.

I even bought new goggles the day before! I haven't swam with goggles since I was 10. I always thought it jammed my eye sockets too much that I would much rather swim with my head above water or attempt to breathe under it like a fish.

This was planned for me and pre-paved before I even realize that the manifestation was taking place. So how could I possibly turn around?

At first thought, it came across a little daunting for a fleeting moment because there was going to be a full range of categories for seniors, men, women and even children swimming in 1 pool. I think I was more resistant about the amount of germs inside the pool that day, more so than countering the fear of competing.

I've done a lot of other sports back in school and my teacher always sign me up for every event. But this, by far, was the best sports challenge I've ever had in my entire life. It made the 2 sessions of back-to-back 40 degrees hot yoga I took, look and feel like fluff and icing. Even though it comes up to a duration length of 3 hours too, yoga is static in nature, swimming on the other hand, is a whole new different layer of the cake.

So instead of a 3 minute 6 postures yoga routine, I ended up swimming for 3 hours straight and completed one hundred and two laps! I went home that day with a medal and a ten-shades darker self from not having any sunscreen on, all burnt out but.. happy and fulfilled.

I practically skipped back home.

Sometimes life closes certain doors in your face but has already prepared another one for you to enter even before you can see it with your naked eye. You just got to trust the process and know that it will be revealed to you in its own perfect timing.

So the universe brought me something else on my plate.

An answer, a bigger challenge for a larger purpose.

History or Destiny

Life has a habit of delivering an earthquake just when it feels like things are balanced and on track. Something changes; something is painful and seems unbearable. The choice before you is a season of mourning or a lifetime of mourning. Do you remain in the pain or walk through the rain? The real choice is whether your life will be about history or destiny; that which has passed or that which is before you.

While the choice seems obvious it is far easier to get stuck living a life of history rather than believing in a future that is completely different from yesterday. Significant events can shake our world and our faith. Suddenly what we thought we could count on disappears like a rug pulled swiftly out from under our feet. This sudden shift can leave us afraid to believe we can ever stand on anything we can believe in again. It takes a leap of faith to walk forward in the rain believing it will reside, that the sun will shine as brightly again. Significant events create significant change.

The real choice is whether you can let go of the pain and accept change or embrace the pain and remain in a comfort zone that has been irreparably altered. You can't put back something that is gone. Efforts to replicate what has been lost frequently lead to unhealthy relationships filled with more pain. The only other option is to embrace the change, a frightening notion for most people.

Some people choose the 'survivor syndrome.' This compels you to remain in the pain filled void, almost in martyrdom, while proclaiming that while you can't change what has happened, you can survive it. When Moses attempted to lead his people to the Promised Land they spent 40 years walking around the same mountain just next door to the paradise they were seeking. They refused to make or accept a change opting instead for taking just another lap for you and me. Complaining loudly all the way, they were surviving an unnecessary grueling path. These people lived in history while their destiny was a short change away. We all have that choice sometime in our life.

You can make a conscious choice to accept what you cannot change and begin walking in the rain. Or you can choose to accept change when remaining in place becomes scarier than taking the chance to embrace a different and new normal. Behind you or in front of you... it's always your choice.

Staring at Destiny

Do you gawk at accidents or find your attention transfixed at the horror of events on television? You're staring at someone's destiny as these events unfold before you. Do you stare at your own destiny? You can become so enmeshed in events that you actually begin to feel the pain of the victims or their families even though they are strangers. While compassion and empathy are desirable traits becoming entangled or mesmerized by others tragedies is not a habit you want to develop in your own life; it leaves you susceptible to staring at your own destiny.

How is this possible? When traumatic or painful events happen in life it is easy to stare transfixed at those events, your attention riveted to what has happened. Your mind is incredibly powerful. It records events with better clarity than the most powerful video equipment. Every sight, sound and sensory perception is recorded in minute detail. You have instant recall for every infinitesimal event. If you allow yourself to stare at them, to replay them like a favorite movie, the most powerful asset you have is being used to voluntarily induce pain and invite despair into your life.

Trauma does not travel alone. It gained directions into your life through your emotional attachment, either to a person or the outcome of an event. They are tough taskmasters; they enter your life without any introduction, usually hurtling through the door without knocking. Their travel bag is filled with things you never hoped to encounter. Rarely does trauma approach slowly, preferring to crash the gates and bash you unmercifully. These are intruders who refuse to leave until you talk them out the door. Trauma must talk, it is accustomed to being in command; its very presence is forceful. It is necessary to limit and then terminate the time you allow these uninvited guests to control your life, your future.

Why do you choose to devote such an enormous amount of your time to staring at events that are horrifically painful to you? Emotion is the chain that binds. Either you loved or you cared about the outcome. The lock on the chain is your unwillingness to look away, to let go. You imagine you can't let go because you've become attached to the pain. It happens through emotion. Letting go may mean you did not care, or the fear that something that hurt you was true causing you to constantly reexamine every event to know the truth. You become attached to pain because you believe it is all that is left of something that mattered a great deal.

Do you choose to stay there, captivated by a movie that is sure to cause you more pain, to rob you of your future? Looking at the past destroys opportunities for the future. You have to be willing to let go, to look forward to change your future. Whatever has captured your mind, whatever you are looking at is your destiny. Look at what you want.

Message From the Universe: You Control Your Own Destiny

Image result for take action

"You know that possessing fabulous wealth creates a lot of responsibilities. Enormous responsibilities. HUGE.

Something to think about.

Really. Like, for 5 minutes a day in a dark and quiet room, see yourself being really, really responsible with fabulous wealth.

I think you're up to it,
The Universe"

It's all about a feeling. You need to call it first within your subconscious mind so you can experience it and start bringing in wealth into your life. There is always a beginning to everything, and you are in control of the direction you want to take when moving forward in your life. The Universe is listening to your thoughts so make sure to make these thoughts about wealth and health. Do not let the petty things bother you or blur your vision. You need to focus and be clear with what you want. Do not confuse the Universe with conflicting thoughts. You do not want to feel you deserve wealth but yet, you add some low self esteem into the equation and it evens out the end result. You end up feeling like positive thoughts do not work because nothing ends up happening. The truth of the matter is that your thought creation process is based on your beliefs and desires to get what you truly want out of life, and that no matter what happens, you need to take responsibility for your own thoughts. If something bad happens, well, sorry to be busting your chops here but it probably originated a few months back when you were thinking negatively to events or circumstances. All this needs to change as soon as possible and it would be to your advantage to start focusing on more positive thoughts coming into your life.

Many may challenge my thinking by saying:"Well, Dan, I just lost my home, my wife cheated on me, my kids do not want to talk to me, I hate my job, I am not in shape, and yada yada yada". First, back up for a second. Listen to the thoughts you are having at this moment. Are they positive or negative in nature? Do you feel being productive when thinking about what was previously mentioned?

So let's dissect this for a moment. "Lost your home": Ask yourself due to what reason that happened. Did you miss payments? Did you not try to ask for assistance for refinancing at lower interest? Did you not utilize all options available to you prior to losing your home? You can ONLY be the one answering this questions as I know NOTHING about your living situation. Let's say you did lose it. Sorry about all of this but you can go and look for somewhere to live.

Next. "Your wife cheated on you". Sorry to be the one being the bearer of bad news but you are NOT the only one suffering from this predicament. Women are more inclined to perform adultery instead of their male counterpart. Many reasons of what happened can be shared with you but women cheats because the man is not around to fulfill their emotional needs, and sometimes, physical. Just have an open communication with your soon to be ex-wife and find out the reasons as to why that happened.

Let's move forward. "Your kids are not talking to you". You are the father, so you can have an honest mature conversation as to why this is happening. If they are teenagers, it might not even be your fault but you need to make sure that there are no other reasons. Teenagers can over-react for the little things and maybe it is something you did in the past they didn't rub the right way so they rebel by not speaking to you. Figure this out.

Hate your job? That is NOT the first time I hear about it. Find out the reason WHY you hate your job. Are they limited opportunities? You hate your boss? No one values your work or input? If you feel that you are stagnating at your job, make a change. Starting looking for different options and act on them. Do not wait for opportunities to fall on your lap because that will NOT happen. You might be at the right place at the right time, but you still need to be the one taking the step forward. The Universe will put you at the right place and right time but will expect you to meet it half way. Take that step and make a change in your life by wanting better things that will make you love your new job. Finally, you feel you are not in shape. Now that is a good one. There are around 100 000 gyms facilities or more in this country that meets every budget and demands of every members you can imagine. Don't want to go to gym because of intimidation? Start by walking 30 minutes a day, its free and help you bring in more oxygen into your body. That's already a good start. Take action and stop complaining. All of your complaints can be resolved when you start being aware of what is going on in your life, and how you can start making the changes needed to become a better and happier person.

The Journey of Destiny

Image result for your destiny

Whether you are leaving home, school, college, a job, a relationship or your old life you are making a turn in the path to your destiny. Every change in your path begins with a choice, with the intent to begin or finish something and go forward. Life moves through time with a rhythm of precision, just like the clocks that have defined time since the sundial.

Your journey may seem stalled at times; leaving you feeling like time is moving slowly or standing still even though you know it isn't possible. A closer look at when you felt that way usually reveals a time where there was no clear intent or when you could not see the choices before you. Human nature dictates that you will do nothing when you don't know what to do. It is imperative to move through this state of mind and instill intent back into your game plan.

Most people have no idea how to create intent, the forward movement behind all of their actions. Yet intent is a shift in consciousness that everyone engages in daily. You have been living with and understanding it since the first alarm clock entered your life. Sleeping is a necessary and different state of consciousness. An alarm clock is set with a predetermined time to awaken you; it is a reflection of your intent to shift consciousness, to move into a new more aware state of mind. Most people live with this every day; many live with the internal fight to make that shift... hence the 'sleep button' that allows a few more minutes to stay where you are. You'll never hit the sleep button when you are excited about your new day. Set your alarm!

If you find yourself in a place where you are unsure about the next step to take in your life take a moment to define what your intent really is. You define your dreams with this step. Then hold your dreams closely, embrace them; loosen your hold on the path to achieve them. This allows for all the unseen opportunities that may lie ahead to join you on the path, leading you to a destiny far beyond your original intent.

Allowing new people and ideas to intermingle on your path are the unknown opportunities that expand your vision and enhance your dream. Your destiny is far greater than you can imagine today, if you allow it to be.

What People Falsely Believe About Destiny

Image result for Letting go

I'm tired of hearing people going on about how they were "meant" for something, and about how something was "meant" to be.

Because...

"Meant" by who or what? And when? And why? Is everyone and everything "meant" for something? Or is it only certain situations? Are the resulting actions thereof also "meant" for something? And the resulting consequences of those actions? Etc.

How many couples head over heels in love with each other would say they're "meant" for each other? How many times have you heard someone say this about their current infatuation?

(Hell, maybe you've even been in a relationship like that.)

... And then a couple of years later they break up after months of deteriorating sex and bickering over mundane problems.

Oops.

It seems it's one of those sayings that doesn't hold up to the simplest of scrutiny or logic. Try doing some basic, reasoned questioning the next time someone talks about someone being "meant" for something.

They're not gonna be able to provide satisfactory answers.

Why do we still seem to entertain the notion that anyone or anything can somehow be "meant" for something?

While I don't know, I'm fairly certain the answer has a couple of components to it...

  • It's one of those things that people say without giving it any thought. Such sayings permeate our language. (No one is being literal when they tell someone to "get bent", either.)
  • For thousands of years, our ancestors have believed in magic and the idea of an omnipotent creator of everything, often one who made a "divine plan" for us. -- Simply because they didn't know any better.
  • It's a deceitfully easy way of looking at the world. Because ultimately it supports the idea that we're not in charge of our lives, and that we don't have responsibility for our actions.

While there are interesting aspects to every point, we can potentially learn the most from the last one. Because it tells us about how we tend to shun responsibility in even the tiniest of ways.
"But that's not what I meant at all!" No, of course not. But from a purely semantic standpoint, it's actually pretty much what you're getting at. Albeit unintentionally.

"But God gave us free will!" Sure. And Apollo could predict the future, and Thor had a magic hammer, and Noah was 950 years old when he died.

Look. If something is predestined for anything beyond the scope of human will and control, it is, by definition, not subject to human influence. However we act towards it becomes futile and meaningless. All considerations about the source of "destiny" aside, if everything is "destiny", it means we're not in charge of our lives.

While I do believe that there's no inherent meaning to anything other than what makes sense to the beholder at any given time, what truly empowers us is the very appointing of said meaning. Acknowledging that there is no meaning but what we appoint to things when we make a decision, take a stand and choose a path for ourselves.

And then, of course, we need to do it. We need to realize that there's no sensible reason to believe that anything beyond our own, inherent human traits and nature somehow "destines" anyone for anything.

We need to realize that we have the ability to be proactive and creative in building our lives; that challenges can always be overcome, and that we need not settle for anything or take anything for granted.

And that very insight is true liberation.

It Always Seems Impossible Until It's Done

The human spirit, since the beginning of time, was on a quest to conquer new frontiers, and overcome challenges that tried to hold it down. In this quest, we had many instances where somebody tried to convince us, that what we are pursuing is beyond us, and cannot be done.

A little passing of time, and someone else does exactly what we thought was beyond our capabilities, and we had to realize that it wasn't impossible after all.

History has, time and again, shown us that women and men of high repute in the past, with conviction and optimism, have conquered barriers that had remained impossible in the eyes of their peers.

As man thinks so he is. Our self-image has a lot to do with how we look at our challenges. From the onset it should be clear to us, that we are the stewards of this universe, that being so, we have immense inherent power to influence everything and anything, in any way to produce the results we want.

The advancements that humanity has made in travel, communication, medicine, entertainment, and other such fields, are sure markers and testimonies that nothing is impossible to them that believe. Whatever milestones we have reached as human beings, are not destinations. Destiny is not a destination, but an adventure.

In every endeavor that we are undertaking, it is important to remember that the challenges that are ahead of us, are just bumps in the road. When meeting these challenges, we might see impossibilities, but they are really an invitation for greater rewards.

They present awesome opportunities to learn and grow as a person, and steer us in the direction of a breathtaking journey, for the betterment of our life experience.

When someone else shows up in your life, to tell you that your goals and dreams are impossible to achieve, roll up your sleeves, and remember, nothing is impossible to them that believe!

Looking at a stream of water, what happens when it stops flowing? When water stops flowing, it stagnates. Once it stagnates, it becomes a habitat for various organisms. Mosquitoes find a breeding ground.

Frogs, insects, and other hideous life-matter settle in the area, finding a home. We can also consider the act of driving up a hill. What happens when you do not accelerate up the slope? The moment your vehicle loses the forward thrust, when you are driving it up a hill, it starts to slow, and in time will start moving backward.

Many of you rode on a bike at one point, or even ride it regularly. When you are on it, you must keep pedaling, covering some ground, moving forward, or you fall over to the side. In life, too, you must keep moving, if you stall, you may not fall over, but you will become stagnant.

Can You Be Spiritual and Have Monetary Riches Too?

I think this is a question each person secretly asks in one way, shape or form. The answer is so simple, I could state it all in a single paragraph.

Heck yes! You not only have a right to be rich, you've got a mandate from the universal mind to make manifest and express as much prosperity and riches as your heart truly desires. And what about being spiritual? Being abundant and prosperous is spiritual... Of course we have overtime disdained the concept of prosperity and money has been attached to all kinds of evils to the point where it almost feels unnatural to speak of riches when talking about higher awareness, but stripped of all the falsehood that was made by man, riches are indeed spiritual.

For most people, it takes decades of trial and error before they finally come to the realization that riches of all kinds are meant to be enjoyed and appreciated even by the spiritual man. It may have been that some well-meaning individual wanted to protect the masses when this idea of riches being evil got spun out of control. Hopefully we can start shifting such ideas for you especially if like me, you have a passion for touching lives as well as leading a good life.

What does the Bible really say about riches?

In the book of Mathew the 19th chapter, we find the teaching given by Christ regarding the rich man where he taught that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. This idea got so misinterpreted over time that majority of people today would argue that being rich means you've traded your blessings for riches.

In another famous passage found in 1st Timothy that's also greatly misunderstood, we are told that for the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. It seems to the logical mind that perhaps religion and other schools of thought that give riches a bad taste might be right. But I want to suggest that it is possible for an individual to gather information and logically analyse it, yet it doesn't guarantee that they will touch the truth and meaning contained in the information. Since everything is a matter of subjective understanding and perceptions, is it not possible that in the past, those who influenced mass type of thinking may have perceived only partial truth?

Given the limitations of past generations, their beliefs gave them a certain kind of reality which served them based on the level of their awareness but you and I are in a new and advancing era. We are in the modern age of science and technology where advancement is peaking and life is only getting bigger and better. If we don't work at reconciling some of the truths that have been lost over time, it'll be a real struggle creating a meaningful life.

Here's a better and more powerful way of understanding this hot topic:

Firstly, the Bible has never been against riches or money. The love of money and prosperity for the sake of these things alone is what it warns us against. Anytime you are going to chase after money and prosperity, even if you acquire it, believe me it's going to carry with it unpleasant consequences. The law of our being requires us to be centred in truth and anything that is material cannot be truth; it can only be the temporary clothing of a hidden truth.

That eternal Truth is what the Bible calls God and it is for this reason that you find in all teachings contained within the emphasis that you should first seek truth, first seek God and his righteousness. Keep him as your focus and let all else be secondary to him. In other words, you are promised that as long as you don't seek prosperity for its own sake but instead seek to manifest your true purpose and destiny, the rest must be added unto you.

Christ never meant that being rich excluded you from the kingdom for did he not rebuke the idea of poverty and lack? He knows riches are blessings and they are from the All-Originating life principle. But he wanted us to know that there's more to life than acquiring worldly possessions. In fact my thinking on this is double-sided because on the one hand, growing up in poverty in Africa, I know that suffering in lack is not virtuous at all.The poor man cannot enter the kingdom either. So the poor man and the rich man are both condemned and excluded from the kingdom because both are enslaved by money. Both are in bondage to money although they stand on opposite ends of the stick.

Here's the beautiful truth I want to leave you with:

The perfect expression that God is looking for in you is being able to connect spiritually to the truth, creating a kingdom-based foundation upon which your life can be built and trusting implicitly on the blessings that must reign in your world when you learn how to cultivate the right mindset. Aligning the spiritual and material aspects of you is that will bring you a meaningful and blessed experience of life. Money and prosperity that comes by as a result of living from your passion and purpose will always feel blessed and good. Living from your purpose requires and integration of higher values and right knowledge about who you are; so the spiritual aspect must naturally come into play.

This is why I can honestly tell you to relax, be easy with yourself. Know that you came here for no less than greatness and you were never meant to choose between being spiritual and having monetary riches. It's always been supposed to be available for you in as much abundance as you need; but you need to unlearn much of what you've learnt and reconnect with the storehouse that contains all you've ever wanted.

Women, Do Not Let Go of Your Dreams

Hopes = Dreams. Let me repeat myself, HOPES = DREAMS. Now some people may tell you that dreams are just “illusions” or “pictures you experience in your head while sleeping.” Dreams are real. They are a part of you. They are a part of your destiny. The old adage that you have bad/strange dreams because you ate something that didn’t agree with you before you went to bed is a lie. Come on women!!!! Our bodies are designed far too intricately and with such expertise to listen to unwise sayings and the “they say” sayings. Your brain…your Spirit…are not controlled by the foods you eat before bedtime. Let the “experts” conjure up whatever makes them feel better to explain something away, but I tell you this…since ancient times, dreams were given to lead you, guide you and are a part of who you are. Now, I’m not saying that all dreams are explainable. I will say that ALL dreams play a part, to whatever extent, in your destiny.

Dreams are “devices” given to us to speak to us about our hurts, fears, joys, loves, plans, paths to take and not to take, they are GUIDEPOSTS. The definition of a guidepost is: a sign on a post by a road indicating directions. Since you were a little girl, dreams have given you signs, indications, and most of all have been the Universe/God’s way of leading you along the path of destiny and interweaving in you hopes to manifest at the right moment.

Have you had or still have naysayers in your life that have attempted to kill your dreams? Let me let you in on a little secret…the only one who can kill a dream is the One who gave it to you. The Power from above is not controlled by humans. If a dream was given to you for a purpose (whether known or unknown) and it died, then only one person has the power to do that, no one else. Also, keep this in mind. Only YOU own your dreams. Your hopes/dreams were never given to one other person on this planet…they are entirely owned by you. Think back (maybe you don’t have to think too far back), where you spoke out loud about a hope/dream and immediately darts, arrows, cannon balls and fire just were sent from every direction to put out that light that sparked in your heart. What did you do? Did you let the ammunition penetrate and darken the light? Or did you put up a shield and say no, this/these dreams/hopes are mine! If you did use the shield, then you are to be commended. However, if you are like the millions of women who let even one dart penetrate the light and darken the hope, then the dream has been “asleep”. Not dead, “asleep”.

When I speak of these dreams/hopes, I’m speaking of those that are healthy to you, not dreams/hopes that have manifested from a broken/bitter/revengeful heart. Those dreams/hopes are not healthy to you and that topic is for an entirely different article!! Let’s focus on that one hope/dream that has seemed to follow you your entire life and when you experience something related to it, such as a word, a song, a location, etc., anything that would cause your heart to “leap or twinge”, then know that that dream/hope is not dead. It has been “asleep”.

2015 is the year of Emergence. 2015 is the year for the emergence of dreams that were once thought lost. It is the year of women “emerging” from their sleep and/or “emerging” from the womb of life to enter the Day of Light. Womb of Life to the Day of Light. What does that mean?

In the mother’s womb, all is given to nourish the baby in order to grow, to develop right up to the point where the baby can survive and continue to grow once it “emerges” into the world. A full-term baby is one that has remained in the womb for the proper time in order to be equipped to function once the baby “emerges”. Such is a dream/hope that was given to you at some point in your life that has never left you. This dream/hope that resides within you now, at this moment, that ember that never burned out, this is your life purpose. (For clarification, this dream/hope is not another person in your life.) It was a seed that was sown at a point in your life where the ground was fertile, and through the years it has been watered with rain (maybe hot rain!), but it was encased inside and nourished even when you were not aware of it. It has matured and in 2015, this dream/hope is going to emerge.
If you are a woman who is serious about pursuing the “vision”, the “dream”, the “hope”, that you were given, then move on what it is that you were given. PURSUE THE VISION. How?

Steps to Pursue the Vision/Dream/Hope:

1. Get a journal and write down the dream/hope that is in your heart that was never quenched. Did you always want to be an author? A teacher? Did you want to be something completely OPPOSITE of where you are now? Have you wanted to travel the world? Write down in a journal your dream/hope no matter how impossible it seems to obtain right now.

2. USE VISUAL SOUND. Our two senses, sight and sound, are two of the most powerful senses we have. Even if your natural eyesight is not good or is not there at all, you always have your “third eye”, your spiritual eye. Your spoken voice is powerful. I say this with the utmost certainty: those who have hard hearts and use their voice for negativity and to harm anyone will ALWAYS have it rebound into their own lives. So I’m speaking to women here whose hearts are ready to enter into their destiny with “clean hands and a pure heart and a right Spirit”…speak out loud the visuals you were given. Speak out loud the dream/hope you were given. Then watch the movement happen.

3. Do not give up. Would a mother stop pushing after seeing the head of her baby? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! EVERY DAY, speak out loud your dream. EVERY DAY. When you see a manifestation happen that is part of your dream, BUILD ON IT. Don’t stop, keep speaking and watch the next one appear.

I speak to you, the women of destiny today, that all naysayers in your lives are REMOVED.

I speak Light into your homes, beauty into your atmosphere and that a determined force to compel you to keep moving enter your life. To whom do I speak:

TO THESE WOMEN:

You were forged in the fire of darkness, you were brought to the threshold of pain, and yet you still kept on. You spoke in anger yet you refused to become bitter. You held love in your heart and it was ripped to pieces, yet you kept on. You removed yourself from all trauma and drama and were cast off to the side because you refused to “join the crowd” in misery. You were secluded and left alone and yet you prospered. You knew how to fight and every muscle ached, yet you kept on. The boundaries you once held so dear were broken and disrespect for your time seemed to abound, yet you kept on. You righted the wrong and you were despised due to your truth you held, you kept on. You stood in the face of anger and betrayal and you did not let it leave a scar, you kept on. You trusted with all your heart and the lies kept coming, you kept on. You removed yourself from bitter company and were rejected by the “social elite”, you kept on.

I say to you THIS DAY…NOTHING is going to keep you from your destiny. NOTHING. Your time in the womb of life is done. Your time to emerge is here. No one who cast a stone your way will remain standing. Your Light will shine in the Universe. YOU were the diamond being forged in the fire. YOU were kept safe and unharmed despite the pain. YOU will stand when others cannot. YOU ARE READY. YOUR destiny is here!
