3 Clues to Your "Why"

If you want to make a difference and live a life of significance, you find your why. You need to tap into your purpose. Everybody has one. Your why is the life's blood of your ability to achieve significance.

If you know your why and focus on going there with fierce determination, you can make sense of everything on your journey because you see it through the lens of "Why". Once you find your "Why", you will be able to find your "Way". How do those things differ? "Why" is your purpose. "Way" is your path. When you find your "Why", your path automatically has purpose. And life becomes much more meaningful and complete because you have context to understand the reason you are on the journey the first place.

Does the "Why" always comes first? Can you find your way and then find your "Why"? You may be wondering. What has to come first? The good news is that either can come first. But if the "Why" comes before the way, your ability to tap into power of significance will come more quickly and immediately be more effective.

Think of it like this. Have you ever wondered why people often find great joy in packing for a vacation? They spend weeks building up great anticipation, looking forward to those warm days on a tropical beach or trips down the slopes of their favorite ski resort. So they pick out each item that goes into the suitcase with great care.

When you get ready for a great trip, almost all your effort is focused on your purpose of the trip. That's why it's a lot more fun to pack for a trip than it is to unpack afterward. This concept applies more broadly to our lives. Whatever path you travel, you are going to be able to do things more significantly because you understand your purpose for being there.

When you start your day with your "Why", you will find yourself continually doing things that inspire you. Finding your "Why" gives you the focused and driven energy.

If you tap into your "Why", your life will open up to significance. It will be within your reach every day because you will be able to do simple things that matter. Significance is usually not a result of anything spectacular. It is based on small steps in line with purpose. Knowing your "Why" helps you to know what to do and to follow through.

Know yourself and settle your "Why", and you will have the capacity to focus on others.

Knowing your "Why" gives you great security and comfort in everything you attempt to do That confidence and self assuredness is usually appealing and reassuring to others because most people long for it.

The first question you must ask yourself is this: How can I add value to others? If you can quiet yourself enough to listen for that answer from within yourself, you will begin to understand your why.

I have to tell you that this question has been the foundation and driver of every significant act in my life. Did you get that? Having a life that matters comes from the ability to add value to others. This is where significance starts. Let that idea stir within you.

So here are three questions you can ask yourself and which will help you to find your "Why".

Here we go. Here is question number 1.

Question number 2 and 3, I will share with you in the following weeks.

Question 1:

What do you cry about?

This first question asks you to look inside yourself and think about what breaks your heart. What disturbs you? What inflicts emotional pain? What causes you so much discomfort that you are motivated to take action and do something to bring healing to that situation?

So, what makes you cry? What makes your heart break? What touches you at the depth of your soul? Do you already know the answer? Or is it something you need to start exploring and thinking about?

When trying to figure out what makes you cry, you can look at your personal history. You can think back to your childhood. You can tap into social justice issues that get you angry. You can think about the last thing you got highly emotional about - or the thing that you always get emotional about. Any of these things can be clues to what makes you tick. And they will help identify your "Why".

Question 2:

What do you sing about?

What always makes you happy? What puts a bounce in your step? What makes you jump for joy or spontaneously break into song? Emerson said: "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well".

Doing acts of significance brings you more deep satisfaction than any other work. It fires you up and keeps you going. As the saying goes, work is not work unless you would rather by doing something else.

What do you sing about? What gives you great joy? What feeds your passion? What feeds your soul? What gets you excited?

When you ask other people "What do you sing about?" many people respond by thinking about what entertains them. There is certainly nothing wrong with being entertained or having fun. But what we really talk about is something that makes contented joy spontaneously rise up within you. It's the kind of thing you would do for free, just because. Once again, these are clues that help you to understand your purpose and know your "Why".

Message From the Universe: Be Guided by the Traffic Lights of Your Life

"You are not on earth to make things happen. You are not on earth to spread the love. You are not on earth to make it a better place or to learn acceptance of the things you cannot change. You are not on earth to find your soul mate or your purpose. You are not on earth to put the needs of others before your own. And you are most certainly not on earth to suffer, pay penance, be tested, or judged.

Did I leave anything out?

You are on earth because in your loftiest state of being, perched high above the wonderment, at the pinnacle of your glory, you wondered what it would be like, even fleetingly, to believe in limits.

You sage,
The Universe"

There is no really any limits to your potential. We all ask ourselves:" What is my mission? What am I here for? What do I need to accomplish here in this Earth to fulfill God's wishes? Is there anything that I need to do so I can get closer and closer to fulfilling my duties as a human being? Where do I go from here? I am sure you have plenty more questions that you ask yourself on a regular basis and I am also sure that none of these questions could be answered. So what to do? Well, just live your life and not worry about what you need to do. It is believed that opportunities will arise that will direct you to what is your role for this planet. The Universe knows exactly how to align events the right way so it guides you exactly where you needed to be. If anyone remembers the movie "The Italian Job" with Mark Walhberg where around the end of the movie, the team was able to bring the Truck filled with Gold to a very specific destination where they wanted it by playing around with the traffic lights so they can detonate the bombs and drop the truck below the streets of Los Angeles and steal the gold. The same works with the Universe. It will change the traffic lights of your life and guide you where it wants you to be. So sometimes, when you are ready to travel that road at a hundred miles per hour, you might see a red light that will interrupt your momentum and require you to turn left or right, but that is OK, it is part of the plan. Don't get angry or depressed, and avoid road rage at all cost. Just follow the guided path and avoid any potential accidents that may occur.

We all pray to live a healthy and productive life. No one is immune to disaster. When it does strike, it can be painful for yourself and your whole family. So we wonder, if we follow the logic from this post, is sickness a part of these traffic lights? Are they meant to leave me at that stop light and keep me there or change the direction of my journey in life? Am I supposed to look at it as a sign that I need to change things so I can expect different outcome? What if I don't make it out of this sickness? Have I accomplished my mission and is this the end of me? You can go on and ask millions of questions and always try to figure out the best answers. There is no ultimate answers. It will depend on the moment you are living it. It will depend on what you did to make all these unforeseen events occurs in your life. As said, the best thing to do is to embrace whatever obstacles happens at any given time and just try to live in the moment and not for tomorrow or next week or next year. You need to live for TODAY and that is all. Everything else after today, you will figure it out tomorrow.

Top Ten Ways to Find SYNERGY in Your Life

Have you ever experienced the difference between life flowing, everything lending itself to more, and life stuck in the mud with every move being a chore? Having synergy in your life is that great energy when all the pieces come together, compliment each other and the next steps happen easily and effortlessly. Here are a few basic points to get your life flowing...

1. Plug in. Identify what gives you ENERGY in your life. Make a list of at least 5 things that give you energy. What do you love to do? To what do you find yourself naturally attracted? Know what these are, because they are your fuel and keep you charged.

2. Clean house. What is the clutter that is slowing you down? What are you tolerating? What are the cobwebs and dust that cloud your understanding of life? Make a list of everything you can think of and then challenge yourself to make it a priority to take care of the items, one at a time. You will notice taking time to handle what you were putting off will actually give you more energy and space to do the things that are really important in life.

3. Be authentic. Get in-line with your HEART & SOUL; the part that authentically represents you. Who you are. What you stand for. Your purpose for being on earth. The gifts you have to share. List these key passions (characteristics, traits, natural God-given gifts/talents that you want to share with the world).

4. Live your values. What is important to you about life? What is important to you about living? These are the things that if you honor them in your life, everything is good. If you are not honoring them, you may get out of rhythm, anxious, frustrated, upset, etc. What are your true values? Start with listing your values and then select the top ten, and then from those, the top four. Are you living a life that supports your top four values?

5. See the vision. Establish your personal VISION. Where do you hope to be in 5 years? What do you hope is read in your obituary? You have one life to live. What are you going to do with it?

6. Plan a direction. How are you going to get there? What do you need to do to make that vision a reality? List and prioritize the main steps and then break each major point into clear baby steps.

7. Aim precisely. With your direction in mind, define your FOCUS for accomplishing the first major step. Visualize your target. See the process and evaluate the baby steps to make sure they are measurable. Put in a timeline to help hold yourself accountable and to stay on track.

8. Cultivate change. Evaluate your current position. Assess what is working? What changes and shifts would serve you better? Identify any obstacles or things that may be distracting you from your vision/focus. Make a plan for how you will address the distractions. Make sure your environment supports your plan.

9. Make it happen. Do something. Commit to the plan and take action. Tell others about it. Be held accountable. Every day take a step toward the goal. Stop and measure weekly.

10. Affirm daily. Make habits that reinforce the ideas and habits you want to cultivate in your life. Whatever you need to be most reminded of and encouraged to focus on, write it and post it where you will see it. (Tape the statement to your mirror, on the dash of your car, etc.) Make a routine to read these so they become part of your subconscious memory. Feel the success and joy of each step and celebrate them as your forge toward your dreams and goals!

BE ENCOURAGED, INSPIRED & EQUIPPED AS YOU REFLECT, ASSESS & DESIGN YOUR WORK & LEADERSHIP!

The 3 Requirements to Level Up Your Success

For the majority of us, success doesn't come by accident. Success happens because of a chain of events. Though the word success may be a subjective thing, the words achievement and progress are not. In order to reach success, whatever it means to you, you must achieve and progress. It's easy to lose focus and motivation especially in the down times so I want to give you my trick that has helped me stay focused on my success over the years. I learned these through my martial arts training and have been applying them to my health, businesses, and relationships. I call them my 3 requirements to level up and reach success.

Motivation, drive and focus crumble when the greater vision is lost or doubt or something negative grabs your attention pulling you away from your goals. I've found this happens because the connection to your purpose was broken. The first step here is to refurbish your purpose. What are you thriving for? Be specific.

For example, this article has two main purposes. Number one, I really hope these three tips help people to get back on track toward reaching their goals and success. Secondly, it helps to get my name out there. Why is this important to me? So perhaps I could help as many people as possible in achieving their successes.

Define what your purpose is. Write it down and know it's okay if it evolves over time. As you reach levels of success, you want to adjust your purpose accordingly but, by stating your purpose and knowing it gives you a direction where to put your focus and apply your effort.

Once you have your purpose you need to get obsessed with it. Obsession is a powerful tool to keep the fuel in the tank, foot on the gas and do what you have to keep pushing through. Obsession glues you to your daily tasks.

What are you doing every day? Why is what you're doing important? Re-confirm your goals daily until you become obsessed with your goals.

Finally, you have to get committed. As a teacher of the martial arts for over 10 years I've found people have to become obsessed in order to truly get committed.

Knowing your purpose comes first. You have to know what you're committing yourself to. I hear personal development experts all the time saying you have to commit. Commit, commit, commit! Commit to your goals! But, they miss the purpose thing. How do you know if you're setting the right goals for yourself if you don't have your purpose down? Which means you may be committing to the wrong thing, that you're not obsessed about and you can't get obsessed about because you know in the back of your mind that it's not what you want to achieve.

Levelling up your game and your success isn't about creating habits. It isn't about creating goals to check off the list. It's about making success a daily requirement and knowing exactly where to aim your efforts. Know your purpose, get obsessed with your purpose and now you're going to get committed to your purpose. Now you have a real foundation to build real ideal goals for yourself.

It's easier to read the map when you already know where you're going and where you're starting from.

If you can't get obsessed with a purpose you gave yourself then it's probably not your purpose. Don't take what somebody else is doing and confuse yourself about having to or wanting to do the same thing the exact same way. Here's an exercise I do and I have my students do to find what your true purpose is.

Turn off the videos, close the books and block out any outside influences for about 2 weeks. Go somewhere secluded in a natural environment and spend 2 weeks with just yourself and your thoughts. To locate your purpose you need to break off outside influences.

Anytime you're falling off track just go reconnect with your purpose. Leveling up is not about what motivates you. Motivation wears off. Drive and obsession don't wear off. What you're obsessed with you'll be committed to.

18 Life Principles For Greater Living

We all have a set of principles we abide by. Ask any person about their values and beliefs and they'll respond according to what's important to them.

I've noticed a central theme in my advice since first writing about: personal development, motivation and success. For the uninitiated, it can be summarised in the following eighteen points.

They are in no particular order and I urge you to identify with those you resonate with and incorporate them into your life.

  1. Love More: Not just people or things, but yourself. Many of life's problems result from a lack of self-love. To love more means to connect with the deeper intelligence that guides your being. You are the embodiment of love, irrespective of whether you're hurt or betrayed. Set aside those feelings and know that you are the ocean swimming in a sea of love. Drown yourself in it.
  2. Be Vigilant With Your Thoughts: Be mindful of your thoughts and don't let them consume you. Do you think uplifting thoughts or are they filled with self-doubt and pessimism? Do you look for the silver lining in situations or do you consider what could go wrong? Do you have a fixed or growth-mindset? Despite people's beliefs, our thoughts are not fixed. They're shaped by being aware of them and not believing everything you think.
  3. Practise Mindfulness: Bring your thoughts to the forefront of your mind and resist being a victim to unconscious behaviours. Mindfulness invites you to bring your attention to what's taking place in your life instead of reliving past events. It means connecting with the present moment instead of being a victim to the past.
  4. Regular Personal Development: Immerse yourself in inspiring material that encourages you to become someone of character. If we don't shower, brush our teeth or exercise, we fall victim to destructive habits and pay the price as illness. People claim since they can't see the benefits of personal development, everything is fine. I enjoy the quote from the late motivational speaker Zig Ziglar who said, "People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily."
  5. Attitude Is Everything: Your attitude is more important than your outlook because it influences how you show up in life. How is a positive attitude developed? By overcoming life's obstacles rather than retreating from them. As you approach life with courage, you overcome your fears that once crippled you.
  6. Be Of Service To Others: We all have a purpose, some discover it early in life while sadly, others die with a song in their heart. You can be of service to others in the smallest way through your thoughts, words and actions. You needn't lend your time to charities to be of service although it's helpful. Give of your time and resources by enriching other people's lives. Even sending peaceful thoughts to another person is a step in the right direction.
  7. Character Is More Important Than Reputation: Your reputation can be destroyed in moments, while character takes a lifetime to build. Consider celebrities involved in scandals, who squander their character and reputation. Be mindful of who you're becoming. Don't forsake this for a reputation that lasts a fraction of the time to build good character.
  8. Let Go Of Worry, Fear And Anxiety: Have you noticed what you worry about rarely happens? We're notorious for fabricating stories to protect us in case such events transpire. Yet, if we continue down this path, we will attract these circumstances because of the energy devoted to it. Replace negativity with enriching thoughts that bring you closer to the life you wish to live.
  9. Make Peace With The Past: To create this future we need to heal the past, to avoid excess baggage. You've heard it said, the past is a figment of your imagination and no longer exists. Reliving the past derails a bright future because your mind is stuck dwelling on something no longer relevant.
  10. Happiness Comes From Within: The biggest fraud sold to mankind is that happiness is attained via: success, fame, wealth or a suitable partner. Yet, one need only look to people who have these things and are still unfulfilled, sometimes depressed. If you're unhappy and gain wealth, you'll continue to be unhappy because having more of these things amplifies what is lacking.
  11. Surround Yourself With Great People: Especially those who bring out the best in you. If we lack self-esteem, we attract like-minded people. They are likely to notice the disowned parts within us we disapprove of. The other person will then reflect this through their interaction with us and we retaliate to prove them wrong. Surround yourself with people who see your greater qualities and don't take you for granted.
  12. Be Here And Now: Stop worrying about the future until it arrives. We worry about circumstances and miss out on the aliveness of the present moment. The future never arrives as we expect, so it's pointless to worry about something that exists as thoughts. It's wise to have: goals, dreams and ambitions. Yet, if we're not aligned with the motivation to accomplish these things, when they arrive it will not be as we expect. This is how a midlife crisis ensues because our vision of the future does not match reality.
  13. Practice Gratitude: Gratitude means to appreciate what you have in your life instead of what is lacking. We can focus on the negative or positive and either way we're right. One brings unfavourable circumstances while the other carries positive aspects. Be grateful for the smallest things because somewhere, someone is longing for what you take for granted.
  14. Forgive Yourself And Others: Forgiveness is a doorway to heal the past. Many people forgive others yet they're unable to forgive themselves. I invite you to start with yourself first. Forgive yourself completely and open the window for love to heal. Remember, forgiveness does not mean to forget, it means to see the past in a new light.
  15. Practice Acceptance And Detachment: Acceptance means not resisting what's taking place in your life. Irrespective whether it's an unfortunate situation, it can pave the way for something wonderful to transpire. Detachment means to distance ourselves from a desired outcome and allow circumstances to play out until the complete picture has emerged. Only then do we realise everything that takes place unfolds as it should, for our greater purpose.
  16. Honour Your Feelings: Medical doctors now realise the harmful effects of toxic emotions which can lead to illness. Perhaps you were told not to express your emotions, apparent in cultures where it's viewed as a sign of weakness. To connect with your emotions invites you to honour your feelings and express them in a healthy way. This doesn't mean acting on your feelings of anger. Rather, investigate what the anger is seeking to represent.
  17. Discover And Live Your Purpose: People who live their purpose lead healthier and robust lives. They're happy pursuing that which makes their spirit come alive. There's a purpose within you waiting to reveal itself. Dependent on your age, you may have realised it or are still discovering it. The key is to experiment until you find a purpose that resonates with you. Your purpose will bring joy to your life and those you serve.
  18. Be Kind To Everyone You Meet: We're often unaware how tough some people are doing it, until we get an insight in to their story. Don't judge people like an oil painting because there's greater depth to a person than you realise. We don't get an impression of them until we really know them or walk in their shoes. Assume the best in everyone until they prove otherwise. Be kind and withhold judgement since that only defines you as a critic.

Motivational Rules To Apply To Life & Business

Many people see motivation as something you have or you don't have, often depending on your specific situation. In fact, motivation is a choice that everyone makes. You can find ways to be positive and to strive to improve a situation or you can choose to complain and stay stuck where you are.

This is not always easy to see, so using specific motivational rules can help to create a positive mental space and framework in any situation. To help you to get started, here are some basic motivational rules that can be easily implemented in any situation and for any individual.

Motivation Rules To Help You Stay Motivated

  • Find Your Passion! What do you really love to do? What really matters in the world around you? What do you see as your purpose or your cause? This is an important part of motivation and having a reason to do what you are doing. Find your passion and then choose activities that help you to achieve that passion or interest. Ask yourself this question, if you could do whatever you wanted and you were guaranteed success, what would you do?
  • Get Rid of Negativity - negative thoughts and negative people are like kryptonite to motivation. It is important to get rid of them in your life or at least limit the time they occupy. When you find yourself thinking you can't accomplish something, look for ways to break it down and then accomplish those smaller components, soon you will find the obstacle is no longer there. For negative people, limit contact or try to avoid topics that escalate their negativity.
  • Be Self-Competitive - set goals for yourself that are daily, weekly, monthly and longer term. Write them down and use them to chart your accomplishments. By competing with yourself to achieve your goals, you will gain self-confidence and trust in your abilities.

Finally, don't just go after small goals and daily challenges. Set long term goals and dream big as well. Having long term goals and dreams to work towards can be some of the most motivational aspects of life for personal or professional growth and change. They can also make your short term goals more effective by creating goals short term goals that ultimately help you achieve your long-term goals.

Continue working on the activities that help you stay motivated, they will become habits and that is when you will achieve true long-term motivation.

Your Purpose Is All That Matters (By Destiny R)

Image result for follow your own path

As I go throughout life, I sometimes have the reoccurring thought of "you will never be good enough." This is a common thought some people have, and I am one of them. It is a thought that sprung into existence out of constant irrational (lectures) conversations with people, views of outsiders, and I can also say that these type of thoughts are sprung up through cultural standards. However, throughout this constant battle of these thoughts, I came across the rational idea through self-discovery and awareness that "if you (they) continue to hold a person up to your (their) own expectations you (they) will always be disappointed." I get it, but sometimes others won't, you may have people in life that seem to always know whats best for you, or feel as though you should be doing something other than what you are doing in life or even giving off the vibe that what you are doing is inadequate but today I say to myself and to others who can relate, "you must follow your own path and purpose, you are enough, and that is all that matters."

Now, true enough there are days where thoughts will continue to cross my mind like "What can I do to be better for them or to seem OK to them in their eyes." but to shift this thinking pattern I continue to remind myself that as long as I am on my path to my purpose and life goals that are all that matters and this is what makes me happy.

It's OK to be upset, frustrated, angry, sad from it but you must not let it consume you.

I struggle with this, but every day when you fight your irrational thoughts you win, yes some days may be worse than others but never stop fighting, right now and for this moment take a deep breath, in and out and say to yourself, "I am enough; I am worthy and as long as I am on a positive path towards my purpose and authentic self then nothing else matters." Then those days of anger, frustration, sadness can become and have become(for me) shorter and shorter and replaced with tunnel vision and more focus on my personal journey of purpose and passion.

This is a work in progress especially if one is constantly surrounded by this, but that doesn't mean that one cannot overcome it.

You Are Enough! Stop Sitting On The Sidelines Of Life!

Are you still questioning if you have what it takes? If so, why? You are powerful beyond measure. You are magnificent. God created you whole and perfect. You are more than enough. You can have, do, or be whatever you want. You have the power within you to create the life of your dreams. Let your imagination run wild. Think back to when you were a kid. Someone probably asked you what you wanted to be when you grew up. As a kid, you let your imagination run wild without limits. Now that you're an adult and life may not have turned out as you'd thought, you've given up on your dream. Please know that your dreams matter. Your life matters. You matter. You are enough. Right here right now, you are enough. You have everything you need to start. You have an idea, don't you? Your dream cannot happen without you. You have to take action. You have to start somewhere. You are worthy and deserving of your dreams. You have what it takes. You have to believe in yourself. You have to believe that your dream is possible.

Do not let people who want to live a mediocre life cause you to never take a chance. Don't let those that want to just do the status quo thing make you feel bad for wanting more, for wanting a better life. Sometimes you have to take a risk and bet on yourself. Sometimes you are the only person that believes in you. And that's okay! God gave your vision to you. You can't expect someone else to understand something they weren't given. Everyone has their own assignment. You focus on you. People are always going to have something to say good, bad, or indifferent. Live life on your terms! You will never know how great you can be if you never give yourself the opportunity to see. Having haters and naysayers comes with the territory of being great. As I first heard Vicki Irvin mention, 'if people are trying to copy you, it's because you're great. People want to copy greatness'. I agree. Think about this. In school, would a student ever think to copy answers on a test from someone who is an A student or an F student? Exactly - the A student. I don't condone cheating in any way but the example is to get you to understand that you're great and walking in your greatness means you may have people that try to copy you in addition to haters and naysayers. The point is that you should not let that stop you. There are too many people out here in the world that need what you have. Your gifts and talents tie into your purpose. We need that. The world needs that. So try to change your perception on what you think you need. Start now. Take action. Baby steps count. And stop thinking you aren't pretty enough, that you aren't small enough, that you aren't smart enough, that you are not enough. You are more than enough regardless of your age, your weight, your gender, your ethnicity, your past mistakes, etc. No one is perfect. Besides, perfect is boring. Have some fun. Live a little why dontcha?

You Are Enough. Enough said. Now get moving...

Message From the Universe: Waiting for the PERFECT Moment! There Is Never ANY!

"Did you know that if you can see a cloud, it can see you?

Same for trees.

And beauty.

Tallyho,
The Universe"

So much beauty around us but we fail to just stop what we are doing and start enjoying what is around us. We all have a focus in life, but while we try to understand our mission, our journey in life, we fail miserably in doing the thing we enjoy. We go with: " When I get the right job, I will be able to take advantage of life" or " when my business succeeds, I will have more money to enjoy life" or whatever else that crosses your mind when waiting for that perfect moment to do understand your purpose. I will need to be clear with you on something. There is NEVER a perfect moment, a perfect time, a perfect job, a perfect business, a perfect relationship, a perfect anything. There is NEVER that. You need to have faith that everything you do today will have great impact in how you live your life tomorrow. We all rely on faith that things should change for the better, because I trust God that it will. So what is faith? "It is the acceptance of which we imagine to be true, that which we cannot prove". You can't really prove that having faith in something will render the wishes and hopes that it will come true. The belief that you have towards the power from above is what keeps you on moving forward, and never waiting on that perfect moment to act. Life is so fragile, filled with uncertainties. You, me or nobody else can predict your future or how it will turn out. The only thing you can do NOW is to live your life NOW. We are running away and towards something, not really knowing exactly what it is. We fight in wars, in battles that are never really won because of all the destruction that is left behind. The world is NOT ours, we haven't built it. It came to us as a blessing, as a property that we rent, but do not own. We took what was given to us and added what we felt could change the world. Yes, it did change it, but do you think for the better? The Garden of Eden was already paradise, but because of the presence of humans, we created some kind of hell that we all are facing its repercussion. We need to all make a change, to start realizing that change is imminent before it is too late.

Environmental factors have a detrimental effect on us, human beings. We don't realize it because we go on our day without realizing that we are controlled, just like RC cars or airplanes. We are the receiver and someone is playing with the transmitter of that RC gadget. We need to change the frequency so we can detach ourselves from what I think can be destruction of human kind. There is something happening and it is not looking great for any of us. Opening our eyes is crucial to understand our environment and taking action. It is important that we take control of our own future because if we let it go as it is and not do anything about it, there will be severe consequences. It is a combination of what you see in the news (with terrorism as being a stepping stone to what can be worst and more damaging) because terrorism is just a way for us NOT to focus on what is going internally, in OUR country. They are keeping our mind busy with something else that will change our world as we see it. Time will tell! We just need to be ready for something that will shake everyone right deep in our soul.

5 Ways to Identify Your Purpose and Unique Talent

Do you 'get' the concept of finding your passion and building a business around it, but are struggling to make it happen?

I get it. Being told to find your passion is like being told to cheer up when you're feeling depressed. Not only is it not helpful, it's counter-productive because it just makes you feel even more disconnected from your inner gifts.

Wherever you are on the spectrum of finding purpose and meaning through your creative expertise, everything you need is within you. It's just a matter of bringing it to light, little by little.

Here are 5 ways to help you do that:

1) Meditate (any which way you can)

As if you've been hanging out with me a while know, I fervently believe personal and professional development go hand-in-hand. If you don't manage your mind someone else will do it for you (and believe me, that's never going to end well!) So how do you do that? Pretty much every entrepreneurial or spiritual leader will tell you the same thing - through meditation.

I know, I know, meditation's hard. Who wants to sit still, trying (and failing) to still their monkey mind, especially when there's so much to do? If sitting still and meditating feels too challenging, try listening to a guided meditation on your iPhone as you walk. Anything that stills your mind, even for a minute, is helpful. One minute a day. We can all try that, right?

2) Look for ways to feel inspired

I can't tell you how many times I get an idea for a newsletter, talk or program by listening to an interview with someone I admire. In fact, this post was inspired by this Brene Brown talk. No matter what field you're in, there are thought-leaders and pioneers paving the way. Read their books, go to conferences where they're speaking, watch or read interviews with them. Greatness is contagious, so rub elbows with those who've got it going on.

3) Get input from a trusted partner

The tricky thing about gifts is they come so easily to us, we think everyone possesses them. When in fact, it's precisely that gift that others need, and will pay for. Using a trusted partner as a mirror to help you identify your talents can be incredibly clarifying, so consider recruiting a great client, a supportive friend/accountability buddy, or a coach to help shine a light on it.

4) Identify the problems you are uniquely equipped to solve

The thing that makes your unique gift have value and IMPACT in the world is figuring out what problems you solve, and for whom. Knowing who your ideal client is will give you clarity, purpose and make your efforts all the more effective. Not knowing who your ideal clients are, or how you solve their biggest challenges, is often the missing piece of the puzzle for struggling entrepreneurs or freelancers, so if you could use some clarity around that's my specialty!

5) Communicate how your ideal client benefits from your gifts

As a result of working with you, will your ideal client:

- Have a more successful brand
- Feel healthier
- Have more free time
- Make more money
- Look better

People will only hire you if they can immediately see how doing so will positively transform your life. Take the time to really get clear on these benefits and make those the center of your messaging and content. I promise, it's a game changer.

I get that there's a lot of information here and putting it all together, in the right order and sticking with it long enough to get results is a tall order. If you're ready to get the clarity you need to align your gifts, message and services with the clients who have the burning desire and money to invest in working with you, I'd love to help you reach your goals.

A Journal and Goals Setting Planner is Critical for Success

Why use a planner? And why are the pages laid out the way they are in the planner? Why are the dates on the left side, why are goals written twice on the right side?

The design of a good planner is built to fill out all the white space in the calendar. To stay busy... to stay at a maximum level. So between 6 to 9am, let's say you set up your first 3 things you're going to do that morning. You will probably be working out, then afterwards, maybe spend time with your kids. Then once you're done, maybe you're going to take a shower. Afterwards, you would be getting ready to have some breakfast, and be ready for a 9am meeting.

Between 9 to noon, maybe you have phone calls. Maybe you're working on a project or shooting a video. Basically every line on the planner you fill out. Noon you're going to take a quick lunch for 10 to 15 minutes, have a bite to eat. Or you'll spend a longer lunch... but it will always be with a client. From 6 to 9pm, you're cranking it down. Turning it off after a busy day, and heading to bed.

The above example, shows how you can use a planner to journal your activities through the day. If you notice, there are a lot of activities going on. This is operating at a maximum level, and a good planner is designed for that - to optimize your day, while you keep your targets and goals in line. If you over commit, and under deliver, that's better than having blank space on the calendar.

Now the right side is a key feature of a good planner. It's a journal, scheduler, planner, day timer, call it what you want.

Goals - now these first lines are the most important ones to start your day, because this is your purpose. This is why you're living your life. This is the reason you're getting up, and going to work each day. Underneath that there is Quote of the day. What is your quote today? This is a very creative two lines that are going to cause you to think about what you stand for that day. Next are your targets. Things you want to accomplish that day. Calls you want to make, appointments you want to have, deals you need to close, people you want to see, customers you want to get in front of. Then we have successes. Those are the things you accomplished that day. Last thing right your goals down again. You write them down in the morning, and write them down again at night. I can't stress how valuable this is. Most write their goals down once a year. You should be writing yours over 700 times a year. Who's going to win?

Make your success big, by organizing your day using a good goal setting and journal planner.

Motivation Manifesto: Proclaiming One's Personal Power

Motivation is the foundation of all power and success and the motivation manifesto is a declaration of claiming one's power to live life to the fullest in all its intentions of liberation, and independence overcoming the many hindrances harboured by self-doubt and negative vibes. It is a typical advance to victory, freeing oneself from fear, anger, and downing emotions.

Let us accept the fact that you and I have the power within us. It is but a matter of acknowledging that we have it, quickening and enlightening our inner power within ourselves. What do we get in return? - a life that is far different from what we have had. A life stimulated and motivated to respond positively, not shying away with our prejudices and misconceptions about ourselves, the people around us and blinded by our circumstances but going forward or upward in every possible way.

By all means let us try to learn some of the motivation principles by heart and leverage from the learning. There is that principle that says "the time to slay your demons is now". Absolutely right, but first we have to know these demons hidden and disguised in the name of fear, greed, envy, addiction, etc.) that tries to bring us down and disabled us to exploit our full potential. Then we are in the best position to fight and defend ourselves.

We need to slow down and cool ourselves from stress. When we are emotionally, mentally and spiritually ill, our response should be to surmount these recurring rhythms of downing syndromes. And we have to live vibrantly enjoying every meaningful moment along our journey in this life. Otherwise, these will take away our peace of mind, health and enjoyment or even cost us of our lives.

Happiness is the key to enjoy life. But if you want to be happy, always go back to your purpose in this life. It is our purpose, our true calling or our desire that determines our direction and reason for existence. If we have this built-in ourselves and nurtured that longing, there is no reason for you not to be happy. If you don't have one, then try designing and developing that document in your life now.

The motivation manifesto is a declaration that does not bring us enjoyment in the humanistic view or thinking. But it is about happiness that brings us always to love families, to take care of our relationships, to value our careers, to nurture our passion and appreciate the magic of our lives. The time is now. And the choices to enjoy freedom of time, emotion, social, financial and spiritual are ours to make.

The Simple Truth That Transforms the Law of Attraction

What if the entire universe, all of it, is but a reflection of limitless consciousness?

And what if every possible outcome is unfolding simultaneously? What if we could select, as if from a mind-boggling buffet, any moments we choose to cooperate with in order to experience it?

What if we are choosing each moment in order to understand who we are in relationship to that experience or circumstance?

What if we are all ONE mind simply playing different parts?

What if time is not real and all events and all possible events are actually occurring right NOW? In other words, what if now, this moment, is all there is, although we experience it as linear time?

Choosing to experience a state of being, simply by 'being' it, creates a cascade of new probable events, one that backfills, as it were, the past to construct the NOW in the most logical path in our memory.

We remember the event as having transpired, as if cause and effect happened, but in reality, the NOW event actually caused the effect, or rather path that it traveled and not the other way around.

What if a state of openness, gratitude and joy could mold the experience we have in our construct of time?

Results would be instantaneous, although they would seem as if they were separated by time and space (from our perspective).

The Law of Attraction then would simply be a vehicle of expression of the eternal moment, one of many outcomes, all changing simultaneously as we choose and thereby create whatever it is we are experiencing.

And what if, our vast minds, being part of a living consciousness that permeates all things, indeed is all things, is also experiencing our choices and non-choices in each moment so that in order to experience itself, in relation to, every other aspect of itself?

And, if we were eternal, playing a vast game and interacting with others, we do so to "live out "the adventure of the game.

That would mean that everyone that comes into your life, however briefly, is chosen in advance (or agreed upon in some way) so that you to react/respond/experience that meeting or interaction and be whoever you are in relation to it.

It would also mean that you are not 'stuck" on any given path. All outcomes are possible in each moment. You simply have to select them. ( You choose by your emotional response.)

By embracing life and seeking love and joy in all circumstances, the game is "re-set" to change the path, the outcome and even the players themselves.

Ego, greed and fear however, destroy the game. As does worry, the stepchild of fear of lack. (Again, the game responds to your emotional state rather than your words.)

The great challenge of the game is then to get what you need without allowing it to become your identity. Chasing material things is a false purpose and creates fear.

Your body is only a vehicle that allows you to experience physical life.

It is easy to forget that you are not here to pursue wealth or fame, although those things may come. Your real purpose is to experience life and in so doing, create joy.

Your ultimate purpose is to be love in action, kindness in motion and to remind others of the same.

You are here to express love (and have fun). So go do that.

5 Tips For Building Inner Confidence (By Helen Leathers)

"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation, and go to the grave with the song still in them."

Henry David Thoreau

This quote makes me sad. Mostly because I think it is probably true. The mass of men - and women - go to their grave with the song still in them. I want to inspire people to stand up and sing their song!

Why don't most people sing their song? Why do they lead lives of quiet desperation?

Is It Because They Lack Confidence To Do It?

There are loads of ways you can pretend to have confidence - to fake it 'til you make it! There are workarounds that might give you a bit of a boost - wearing those heels, or a particular outfit perhaps. But what if you could develop complete inner confidence so that you could shine regardless of where you were, what you wore, or who you were with?

How do you develop confidence like that? Well, here are my 5 tips that have worked for me

5 Tips For Developing Awesome Confidence

1. Know Your 'Why'. What is your vision, your mission or your purpose? If you have ever had an absolute mission you will know how focussed and unstoppable you can be. If you have never experienced this, think about the vision that Oprah Winfrey, Richard Branson, Angeline Jolie, even Madonna (I love her, but some people don't) have. They know exactly what they want from life, what their mission is, what song they must sing - And they damn well sing it, don't they? Finding your purpose is massive. Having a vision for how you want your future to look, why you are doing what you are doing, who you would like to help or inspire are all reasons 'Why'. What is yours?

2. Follow Your Intuition. I know, I talk about this a lot, and there are many reasons why that is. When you trust in your intuition, you just know that the right people, places and things will appear, as if by magic. Ladies, when we work with our intuition we stand in our power - we engage with one of our feminine superpowers! And it is amazing. We can feel guided, lucky, safe, on track, and ultimately confident.

3. Breathe! Take a breath before you walk into a room. Breathe deeply before you have to stand up and speak. Breathe from your belly - that means not holding your stomach in by the way - allowing your lungs to fill properly. Breathing is especially important if you have to present, or even just do a 60 second pitch at a business event. If you know how to breathe correctly - allowing your stomach muscles to relax on the in breathe, and then using them to help actively expel the air as you speak and exhale, you will also sound more confident and be able to project your voice further. Your voice will sound more full and rounded rather than wispy or quiet.

4. Energy. You need enough energy to keep yourself full of life and vigour, this is really practical and also a bit more esoteric. This is a vast subject but think about enough sleep, good exercise and fresh air (get those happy hormones flooding your bloodstream), great nutrition, quiet time, and what ever else you need to ensure you are at your optimum. But also understand how to ground your energy to help with confidence in the moment. It can be as simple as planting your feet firmly and evenly distributing your weight rather than standing (wobbling) on one leg - especially if you're in heels ladies! Bend your knees slightly and just imagine roots coming out of the soles of your feet. This sinks your energy in to your lower body and helps you to be present in the room. Excellent just before speaking or, if you feel a little overwhelmed go in to the toilets and do it before going back to the event!

5. Posture. Posture can have two different meanings here. The way you stand physically, and your approach or attitude. When you believe in what you are doing (see point no. 1) and you have the right energy, and trust your intuition, you will have a positive approach and attitude, and people can sense that. In terms of physical posture, stand tall, ground your energy (see above), shoulders back, engage your core (that's your stomach muscles if you're not sure) and lift your head (as though someone is pulling a strand of your hair from the top of your scalp so that you extend your neck, keeping your chin level with the floor). When you stand tall and confident, it is almost impossible to feel un-confident. And if you start to slip into that feeling I can almost guarantee that your posture has slipped. Think of old TV clips of soldiers on parade
Each of these will give you a confidence boost, but used consistently over time, and combined together you will find such inner strength that you will feel confident in almost every situation.

Please don't lead your life in quiet desperation, please discover what song you are supposed to be singing and start to share it with the world. Even if it is just with those closest to you. Don't go to your grave with your song still inside.

Personal Development - What's In It For Me?

When first getting started with your business, you are told to identify your 'why' and develop your vision. These will be the framework for putting together your business plan.

These first steps are crucial to help you identify the audience you are going to target and resonate with. Get clarity on your vision and who you want to be. From that development the ideal customer you want to deal with will emerge.

Ask yourself who are the people you want to be your customers and who you want to spend quality business time with. Start attracting those people to you now.

I used to blame my problems on other people. My moment of clarity came when I looked in the mirror one day and burst into tears. It wasn't because I looked bad, but realized my problem was me.

When you have that moment you realize nobody else in your external world is responsible for your success or failure but you. The things and people you attract to your business are because of the thoughts and visions you have for yourself. What you focus on expands. What you make mental images of in your head, is what you will have.

Your brain and sub-conscious will conspire to give you the images you make. Don't sit around and dwell on what you don't have, but what you will be. Your brain doesn't understand the 'do' or 'don't, but only a verb or a noun.

You can reprogram your brain by the thoughts you intentionally put in your brain. Things like affirmations, prayer and meditation can literally reprogram your brain. Intentionally state your wishes and purpose for yourself. Set your intentions for what you want to build. It will go from your vision, to your purpose, to your message and then to your audience who wants to hear your message.

By doing this, you will never have trouble targeting the right audience. You will be the person you want to work with and start attracting the same people to you. It starts with your vision of who you want to be.

Dare to invent the future. Have you had that spark deep inside where you want to be that trailblazer or make history? What sparks the passion in you? Getting to the core of yourself is the only way you will communicate to the core of someone else. This will make them want to take action and this will build an army of raving fans instead of reluctant customers.

10 Things That Can Keep You From Giving Up

We have all been there. We are traveling down the pathway to achievement of our goals and for whatever reason, we suddenly hit a wall. Hitting the wall is not the issue, it is that we have hit this same wall about sixty times already. We want to achieve our goals, however, we are tired, discouraged and really sick of this wall!

Thomas Edison said, "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." But you say, "I have tried again, and again and again." Discouragement is a powerful enemy that, once it gets a hold of our minds, never gives up.

I would like to share with you ten things you can do to overcome discouragement and move forward in the victory you desire. By following these ten simple steps, every day, you will strengthen your drive for success and end up the better for the battle.

#1 Know What You Want

This may seem like an odd point, however, many people have no idea what they really want in life. They may say that they have an idea or what they wish they had, but they cannot nail down exactly what they want. The truth is, unless you know what you want, you will never get it. Or in the words of the great Yogi Berra, "If you don't know where you are going, how will you know when you get there?"

One of the most common questions I am asked when I am speaking to a group is, "How do I know what I am meant to do in life?" My answer is always the same: "What do you want to do?" You see, your purpose or dream in life will not be something you do not want to do. It is always that thing that has been in your heart for ages. You may have pushed it aside because you thought it impossible, but that is the sign it is real. If a dream is not impossible to achieve; it is just too small.

Take the time to clearly define what you want to do. How does it look and feel? What will it be like when you achieve it? Remember that your goal is always something that benefits not only you but others as well.

#2 Know Why You Want It

People often make the mistake of trying to know how to do something before they know why they are doing it. That is backwards. Once you have decided what your goal in life is, you must then discover why you need to achieve it. Here is a tip: it is never for money, fame, power or revenge. None of these things are goals and all will cause hurt and defeat if they are what you pursue.

Ask yourself, how will this make me feel? What will I achieve in the process? Who will I become as a person when I achieve this goal? These questions will help you to discover the right motivators behind your goals and will move you forward faster than anything else.

#3 Write Things Down

Anyone who has spent any time studying goal setting know that one of the key rules is to write your goals down. The importance of this cannot be stressed enough. Success-minded people know that you cannot effectively follow your goals unless they are clearly written out in detail.

Many will say, "I have them all in my head." That, my friends, is the worst place to keep them. Goals can only be successfully followed when they are consistent. In your mind they will change from day to day, you will forget things, add things and change your mind because of how you feel at any given moment. Think of it this way, it is like going on a trip and following a map, however, each time you look at the map the dot where your destination is has moved. You will never get there.

When we write down our goals we make them firm and give them substance. They are only ideas and wishes till we write them down and give them life. Once a goal is in writing you know where you are going at all times. It will not change nor will it fall by the way side. Written goals are a clear road map to success.

#4 Learn From Both Success and Failure

Success-minded people learn that both success and failure can be a blessing and a curse. Success can make us complacent and cause us to slow down; resting on our achievements. Failure can make us discouraged, fearful and cause us to give up. Success can also motivate us, inspire and drive us to even greater things. Failure too can cause us to become more determine and make us push on till we find the answers we seek. So, what is the difference maker in these two states that determine if they help or hurt us? It is the act of learning.

It is when we have decided to learn from every experience, both good and bad, that we can always move forward no matter if we have succeeded or failed in of efforts. The great inventor and businessman, Thomas Edison was well known to record not only his many successes but also his many, many failures. Edison knew that there was a reason why something did not work and if he understood those reasons he would not make the same mistake twice. Besides, he would also learn how these failures could be successes in another area of interest.

On your journey to achievement always have a notebook handy to record your results. Learn from the successes and from the failures and you will always turn your failures into successes. Success-minded people know that nothing in life is ever wasted if you can learn from it. The greatest education you will ever get is that of experience.

#5 Track Your Progress / Not Your Failures

Where we can always learn from our failures, they are not the thing we measure success by. When things are difficult and we want to give up, one way to defeat discouragement is to look at past success and know that we can do it again.

Success-minded people know that success leaves clues. Not just the success of others but also our own. Each time you succeed it is because you did things that caused success. Think about just what those things were and record them. Keep a running record of all successes so that when you are faced with a difficult challenge you can see just how you did it before.

#6 Never See Success as the End of the Journey

The completion of a goal is never the end of the journey. Success-minded people need to understand that it is the process of achieving a goal that give us excitement and drive, not the achievement itself. I have seen too many people who worked hard to achieve their dreams only to lose it all because they stopped working at it. Success is never stagnate. It has to keep growing in order to be maintained. That is why you need a plan for when you achieve as well as for when you don't.

Do you have a goal waiting in the wings for the time when you achieve the one you are after now? What will you do once you see the success you seek today? The best way to never get discouraged or to give up is to have a new goal or new dream that you will move into right away. The best way to reward yourself for achieving a goal is to set a new one immediately.

When I finish a book and send the last draft off to the publisher I always celebrate by starting the next one. The reason for this is simple. I am just like 90% of other writers who once they stop to rest, they never start again. The world is full of people who achieved a goal and decided to reward themselves by "taking a break". The problem is, most do not recover from that break and therefore never achieve anything more. Simple law of nature: when something stops growing, it dies.

#7 Avoid Negative People

It true! There are vampires out there and they are looking for you! They can be your co-workers, store clerks, passersby or even in your own family. We of course do not call them vampires, however, do not doubt that they will suck the live out of you faster than you can notice it happening. These are the negative people in our lives.

I know it sounds hard to call these people vampires. Some are people we love and care about. You must understand that there is no greater enemy to the success-minded person than the influence of negative people in our life. They will steal our dreams, defeat of efforts and destroy our desire to succeed. Some even do it out of love, but is still harmful all the same.

You cannot always remove the negative people from our lives but we can control the influence they have on us. If someone is known for cutting down your dreams the best way to handle it is not telling them your dreams in the first place. Be wise on who you seek for advice and direction. Just because you are thirsty you would not drink from a bottle of poison would you? So do not give a negative person the power in your life that will destroy you and your goals.

#8 Find Encouragement

If you do not tell the negative people in your life your dreams, who do you tell? You want wise and solid counsel, not just someone who will tell you what you want to hear, right? Seek out positive, success-minded people who care about your success. They will be the ones who will encourage you and still tell you if you are heading in the wrong direction. They are the ones who build you up and help you to understand that you can succeed. Remember the great words of author Mark twain who said, "Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that but the really great make you feel that you too can become great."

Positive people are a great value in our lives. Their encouragement and inspiration will move us forward during the time when we feel like giving up. They will always be honest with us and yet they will never deny our goals or belittle our dreams. They may not always understand why we are pursuing the dreams we have chosen, but they always respect the fact that our dreams are ours to choose and ours alone.

#9 Have Determination

The most powerful and sure way to keep from giving up is simply not to. I know that sounds simplistic and even dumb to say, however, it is the simplest truth and, as we see in Occam's Razor: "If you have two equally likely solutions to a problem, choose the simplest." In short, the simple answer is the best. Can you think of a way to not giving up that is more simple than, just don't do it?

The great thing about determination is that you do not have to keep making a decision as to what you will do. The decision is made once and you only have to follow it. What happens when things fall apart? You keep on going. What happens when I keep failing at what I do? You keep on going. What happens when it seems no hope is in sight? You keep on going. To quite is never an option. To give up is not on the table for discussion - no matter what you think or feel.

Success-minded people must understand that giving up is to lose it all. It is a matter of survival, not just feeling better. During England's darkest days during World War II, Prime Minister Winston Churchill knew that to give up or to surrender was not going to stop their destruction but in fact cause it. His words must be noted by every success-minded person who has ever felt like giving up on their dream. "Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be;" Churchill said. "for without victory, there is no survival."

#10 Take Action / Keep Moving

Nothing happens without action! That is a fact. This you can take to the bank - and if you take action you will get to go to the bank. No matter what your dream is or how impossible your goals, if you do not take action you will never achieve them. If you do take action, you are on your way to success and there is little to stop you.

The best way to not give up is to not stop long enough to think about it. There is always some action that you can take at any time. The great thing about taking action is that it works if the action is small or big. I will say, if you want massive results you will have to take massive action, however, if you can only take small steps you will still move forward.

Action causes forward movement and as long as you are moving forward you are fulfilling your goals. Don't stop, don't think that you can rest a bit and then start again. Remember, those who stop to rest do not start up again. You lose momentum when you stop. Keep moving and you will find that you never lose ground and you always achieve the goal in the end.

The Essential Element in Your Personal Strategic Plan

Your purpose or your mission in life provides you with a sense of direction and focus. It is the essential element in your personal strategic plan. If you are without a mission you are like a boat adrift in the sea without any wind at your sails. The waves or life events just rocks your boat from side to side.

Clarify Your Mission

To clarify a mission for yourself you must first clarify your values and be certain of what rocks your boat. As an example, if you value lifelong learning and personal development, then your life will reflect that both in your occupation and personal life.

To expand on this further, consider someone who has retired and has a substantial pension whereby he can construct his day in whatever way he chooses. If that individual values personal development and lifelong learning, instead of lying around all day and letting his brain deteriorate, he would endeavor to learn something new, perhaps do some writing, join an organization, and make a contribution to society.

Have a Set Definite Objective

If you value a life of riches and living a life of luxury, you must have a set definite objective - - that is of becoming rich. It will be necessary to set a dollar amount that you want to achieve by a certain date, such a focus will provide you with a mission or a purpose to your life. You will need to envision this mission, embed it in your subconscious mind and let your actions be guided by this mission.

This particular focus will require you to set aside certain pleasures, or fleshly desires, in the interest of realizing this mission. An athlete who is devoted to becoming the best in his profession will practice his craft relentlessly, often at the expense of hanging out with his friends or playing video games. If he has the natural abilities and willingness to put in the work, he will not only rise to the top, but his income will also rise to meet his expectations.

Consistently Learn and Improve

If you are in sales, you must not only know your product in and out, but consistently study the sales process itself and how to identify the elements in the sales process that would best sell the product to your customers. Beyond that you must identify the characteristics of your best customer and the best approach to engaging and selling this customer. And finally, you must set some sales goals, broken out into a monthly basis, and begin your effort.

And for a final illustration, let's say you want to be a great parent for your children. In this effort you must learn the unique differences in your children, conscientiously identify their strengths, and consistently praise their efforts in mastering academic tasks, carrying out household chores, and establishing healthy relationship with their peers.

Overall whatever your mission is in your life, once established, it will give you a focus that will help you to set priorities, and live a life worth living. You can then look back and be proud of your accomplishments as you continue your journey.
