Thoughts About Creativity (By German Calvo)

I don't want to believe that most people can not be creative, that you have to be genius in order to show some creativity, and yet, for me it seems like creativity is something really difficult to achieve. Why is this? Well this is a good moment to have thoughts about creativity and see how this article flows...

Probably those who are very creative on their passions, perhaps in the arts, or in sports, especially team sports, can tells us that creativity is something that we all are able to experience. Come to think of it, I used to play Football (soccer for you in the USA) and now that I think back, even I did things that were really creative and spontaneous in the field that not only I enjoyed, other people and my team mates enjoyed too.

On this very topic, this morning I finished reading the second book that Jordan Belfort wrote: "Catching The Wolf of Wall Street" and towards the end, he started to narrate how at the beginning he thought his writing was rubbish and his cell-mate also said it was useless as well. But then, reading a single book several times by Tom Wolfe: "The Bonfire Of The Vanities" changed his mind and the mental block was gone.

Wow! Both Jordan's books are brilliantly written and very funny and extremely brutal in their personal explicitness. It was like a personal exorcism of spectacular proportions. Now, I can't write either and I've tried to get the kindle edition of 'The Bonfire Of The Vanities' to see how I can learn from it too, only to find Amazon doesn't have it for that medium... I may end up buying the soft cover version instead.

Well then, what is creativity? It can be, I suppose, either a sudden spark of inventive activity or a series of steps that can be learned like exercising a muscle toward something rewarding that can be appreciated not only by you but by many people as well... Perhaps are results that come from paced effort or from sporadic brilliance, I don't exactly know really.

Yet I want to believe that many people could have brilliant creativity even, out of a concerted effort and desire to learn measured steps toward its attainment. I want to believe that many people are able to appreciate things, to take steps to build a muscle of creativity either in their personal life or in their business life, why not in both.

If for instance, you take up drawing, yes drawing portraits or landscapes views, are you going to be great when you just start to do them? Probably not! OK, may be not at first, but imagine you go on to draw many portraits and you start really liking drawing portraits; do you think you are not going to build a muscle that creates powerful and even beautiful portraits? I would bet that you could, especially if you had the desire to do them.

That was an example and really that activity could be extended to many other facets of creativity. It is something that is all around us if we just care to look for it and step out of our comfort zone to practice what is necessary to bring it out to the surface.

In business, in online business too, there are so many activities which can benefit from creative output, like writing sales letters for selling your products, or making videos, audios and creating stunning graphics for your presentations and a lot more besides.

One of the most important things on creativity is just starting to move, get a grip on starting that which takes your fancy, or better still, that which needs doing creatively. Because once you start, the muscle begins to build more and more, which at the same time confidence is increasing with every experience or step that you take.

May be we should all me reminded of the artists who spend most of their time developing their art; can they become more creative that way? You bet they can, in fact they do so it is a good incentive, knowing this, for all of us to try to increase the muscle of creativity that most probably exist in almost all of us.

To your success

Difficult Roads Often Lead To Beautiful Destinations

House Near Green and Brown Mountain

Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. Yes, I know, it is probably the last thing you want to hear when you are enduring pain, feeling lost, having hard times or failing in life. But when you survive a storm, with all its frustration and misery, it, in time, steers you on a better path.
Are you on a hard road that you thought would bring happiness, but instead bring you only barriers? Is your destination getting further away from reality? Do you feel like life may be unfair?

I know. I get it. All of us have been there at some point in our lives or are going through it right now. But in truth, when you do go through some dark times, come out and land on the other side of it, more often than not, it is never as bad as you thought or expected it to be.

Of course, it is a miserable experience, but you survived and learned a lesson. You felt like life pushed you away from where you want to be, but you must admit that in the end, difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.

The magnificent view you have from the mountain tops could never be enjoyed unless you begin hiking and climbing the hard path that leads to the summit. The world is filled with hidden places and treasures that can take your breath away, but if you are unwilling to face the dangers to get there, you won't see these unbelievable splendors.

Being on a Hard Road
You should not let fear hold you back from being on a difficult road. The reason I am saying this is because if you do let fear take over, then you might miss out on some of the greatest destinations that our planet has to offer you. It sounds crazy but the harder a road is, the better the journey's end could be.

You, I, all of us, go through tough times. Obstacles, barriers, and failures are a fact of life but staying down is a choice only we make. Of course, it is always easier to stay down rather than to get back up to fight another day. But you hit rock bottom in this life, there is only one way, and it is up. So you have to get up and get going.

Many people are on a difficult road, but a lot of them give up. So if you want to experience the benefit and live a better life, then you have to make an effort to go through the storm and reach your end destination.

The Difficult Road May Be Worthwhile
Keep in mind that when you travel on a challenging road that your end journey may be worth far more than you thought it could ever be. Yes, you might inevitably struggle along the way but facing it and going through it makes your destination far more rewarding.

"You are stronger than whatever you are facing right now" - Unknown
In the end, you might be happy that you chose a road which was somewhat harder and more difficult because of what you achieved when you finally reach your destination. I am going through some rough times at the present stage in my life. So I want to encourage you to fight through whatever it is you are going through.

No matter what the difficult road you are now walking on in your life is, I ask you to have faith and let the problem, whatever it is, run its course. You can always make a decision based on what you learn.

When the Road Gets Tough
Of course, you may have the desire to give up, get upset, and even discouraged when things are not going the way you plan them to be, but do not give up when times get tough. Your objective is to confront such setbacks and learn how to use them to your advantage. Make them work for you instead of against you.

And yes, a difficult road is often a very lonely one. What I mean by that is that often, you are going through the darkness alone and it leaves you feeling isolated, like a lone wolf walking down an unknown path.

Each of us has to surmount obstacles in life, but a determined person is the one who faces the hardest roads with determination and courage and overcomes them. A difficult road is a real journey in itself, but if you believe that your objective is worth it, then you must commit to it. You must endure the loneliness which leads to your destination.

Difficult Roads Lead to Beautiful Destinations
I feel you. You want it to be easier, to be on your way, to be over, or to already be there. It would be great, wouldn't it? However, it is practically impossible to happen overnight. Instead, the choice that life gives you is usually an issue of 'not right now.'

It means that, with time, the destination you are aiming for or cannot achieve, or the idea you have, or the situation you are in, will reach a conclusion.

Nevertheless, you should be aware that, no matter what path you take, all of the difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations while the smooth paths fall astray. So, no matter the barriers in your way, you have to focus on a few principles to guide you:

  • Believe in yourself and realize that the hurdles in your way cannot stop you.
  • Recognize that there is a difference between giving up and knowing that you should keep going.
  • Occasionally, you have to give up on certain people, just because they do not care, even if you do.
The Vital Key to Surmount Challenging Roads
You need to push hard against the storms coming your way if you want to win and overcome the difficult roads. At some point in your life, even when successful, there is no doubt that you will run into a wall, a barrier or an obstacle stronger than usual.
The vital key to surmount challenges and achieve success in life is to figure out how to go through, climb, dig under, pass over or walk around what is on the difficult roads you take. Have faith and trust that all is going to be fine, maybe not today but in due course, it eventually will.

You should have confidence in the process. You may not be able to see it visibly, but unconsciously you know that it is there. You have to know that difficult roads if accepted and respected, will lead to beautiful destinations. Even if it is not what you asked for, it will get replaced with better.

Unleash Your Skills to Pay the Bills (By Dr. Shauntel Peak-Jimenez, Ph.D)

Hey there! Thank you for clicking on this article. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to connect with you. First of all, in no way am I insinuating that you can't pay your bills. I like words that rhyme and I thought the title sounded cool (smile). Plus this article is going to actually cover information on how you can use your skills to pay the bills. And I am referring to your skills as an entrepreneur.

If you feel led to step into entrepreneurship then there is a reason for that. And that reason is probably because part of your calling is to be an entrepreneur. And if you are like how I was many years ago you might not have realized that entrepreneurship is even a calling. So if you feel that divine nudge to become an entrepreneur then you definitely need to keep reading this article.

Many years ago back in 2009 I lost my nursing job due to corporate downsizing and that is how I was introduced to the world of entrepreneurship. But for a lot of my life I felt like I was supposed to be an entrepreneur, but I felt stuck in the 9-5 cubicle life. But when I lost my job the doors of entrepreneurship swung open for me, now by no means has it been easy, but it has been extremely rewarding. And I have been blessed to use my skills to pay the bills. And guess what? The same thing can happen for you.

So now that you have determined if you feel led to entrepreneurship, what's next? Well you must have an entrepreneurship mindset. And an entrepreneurial mindset is a much different mindset than an employee mindset. Being aware of the difference and applying an entrepreneurial mindset to your business plan, goals, and action plan can be a critical factor in whether you succeed as an entrepreneur or not.

But it doesn't stop with the entrepreneurial mindset, there are some other important things related to successful entrepreneurship, like understanding how to take your divine idea and transform it into a business model, and even after that is done you must know how to turn that business model into money. And when you can manifest the money that is when you can have financial resources to help with those bills. So as you see unleashing your skills to pay the bills is totally possible for you. And guess what? It might not be as hard as you think!

Why Happiness Comes From Being Your Higher Self

Have you ever worn different masks in front of different people to present a different version of yourself?

We all surely have if we were honest enough. And that's totally okay, sometimes situations require you to summon different kinds of personalities, energy or resourceful state in order to produce the best outcome.

However, if you let the standards of society, the status quo of culture and the "what's weird or not" kind of majority thinking to influence you to become who you are, then you're not living your own true life.

You are just surviving like a Star Wars clone, drone or a R2-D2 robot.

While we have to abide by the laws set out by our society, we don't have to listen to its guidelines all the time.

It will be way happier and free to define the lifestyle you want to have and the way you want live. No one ever stands out by being the same as everyone else and standing out as an individual will NOT get you killed.

When you make the decision to live life as you see fit, you will find that you'll become much more carefree.

Your parents wanted you to be a doctor and they sent you to medical school. But you have always wanted to do something else. What usually happens? You either stick with the 6-year degree and hate what you do OR you move on to unleash your entrepreneurial spirit and start a business that's more fulfilling.

How can you find out what is going to make you happy? This is easy.

Next time you find yourself daydreaming, try to pay attention to what it is you were daydreaming about. If the same thing comes up frequently, this is a huge hint from the Universe as to how you want to live.

This doesn't just work for your career. It can be for any aspect of your life.

If you continually think about areas of your life that seem empty, ask yourself what it would take to fill that hollow feeling, inner hunger and emptiness. That is what you want to focus on.

As I have always emphasized, taking huge imperfect action is always the solution to leading a more rewarding, passionate, fulfilling life.

You will be happier as will the people in your life. When you vibe with such positive energy, people around you will notice and be influenced to do the same.

Be okay with the fact that some people close to you will try to give you unsolicited advice as to what is best for you.

Very often, they do it out of love and fear.

They love you so they want you do what seems to them the best for you so you don't get hurt. But they are also scared that if you don't listen to their "advice", you'll succeed and they will lose you.

Just remember that it's your life and you are the only one that can live it.

There will be also people who want you fail because if you are successful, you take away their excuses and make them look bad.

Just ignore these negativity voices. Focus on your own thing. Think about the long-term benefits you will get when you live life on your terms rather than theirs.

Nothing will change until you take massive imperfect action towards living your own life, one on your own terms, that's best for your highest self.

You will be stuck living on the expectations of others and you will look back on your life when you are older and wonder why you didn't do the things you always wanted to do.

The choice is now yours. How will you choose?
