Off and Running in Four Easy Steps

It seems like at one point in time or another, we all talk about pursuing goals, but some of us do just that... talk. As the old saying goes "talk is cheap." And that it is! If we really have the desire to get closer to what we want to achieve in our lives and are truly committed to taking our performance to another level, it involves doing more than just talking about it. By no means do I want to imply that achievement is an easy process, but if you commit to the following four steps, I guarantee you will be "off and running" in no time and progress will soon be yours.

First, learn the art of asking yourself the right questions. The right questions are important as they will help you clarify your goal by uncovering your thoughts, perceptions, values and motivations. Questions like; what am I passionate about? What makes me feel motivated? What can I do to become more visible in my organization? What steps do I need to take to advance in my career? All these help fuel your fire and get you thinking about what it is you really want out of life.

Second, examine your life thoroughly. By answering the questions in step one, you can then establish touch points for yourself and say "this is where I want to be one year from now, three years from now and five years from now." Spend some time on this; be mindful of not only what you want but what you are willing and able to DO to get there.

Third, create a powerful image. By spending some time on step two, you can create an image of what your life looks like at the different points in time you have selected. For instance, get a clear picture of what you are doing and feeling, where you are living, where you are working, how much you are earning, who you have surrounded yourself with, what you are driving. Every picture will be unique to the individual... it doesn't matter, just take an active hand in picturing yourself already there. By creating an actual image and feel for where you yearn to be, you actively design a compelling future for yourself. The clarity of this future makes it more tangible thus motivating you to take action and get there!

Fourth, yes, stop talking and take action. The caveat is this... a distinction must be made between what you want to achieve, and what you intend to DO to actually achieve it. Goals are great, they help us visualize what we want and by doing this, we are able to place it in the cross hairs of our vision, but the DOING part is what is going to get us there and unfortunately that is the piece that gets left out most of the time. Remember "talk IS cheap." So don't get stuck there! In fact, if you are talking about your goal, catch yourself in the moment and actually challenge yourself to do something right then and there to move you closer to obtaining your goal. Talking about it can become a habit so disrupt the pattern by DOING. By setting your intention on action, you facilitate strategic movement in a specific direction and utilize motivation fueled by passion. And that my friend is what gets you well on the way to accomplishment.

Destiny by design or default... the choice is yours!

How to Change Your Day - Start With Your Morning

Your morning matters! How you spend your mornings will set the tone for the rest of your day. If you leverage your willpower early on, you'll get more done and you'll feel better all day long.

  • Find yourself rushing out the door in the morning?
  • Find yourself skipping breakfast?
  • Want to be a morning person?
  • Want to have a more productive morning?

Maybe it is time to learn how to

  • First, learn to sleep like a baby
  • Start your mornings with a smile
  • Be sharper and more focused in the morning
  • Be energized without a caffeine overdose

Don't Press Snooze!

The extra 10 to 30 minutes of sleep that you could be getting by pressing the snooze button are not worth it! When your alarm goes off for the first time your body prepares itself to wake up. When you decide to go back to sleep only to be awoken by your alarm again, your body becomes confused, which is what causes the spacey, groggy feeling. The more times you press snooze, the worse it will get.

Morning Stretch

Stretching first thing in the morning is a great way to energize your body and warm up your mind. By stretching you accelerate the release of mood-enhancing endorphins and increase the amount of energy you will have throughout the day.

"A mind that is stretched by new experiences can never go back to its old dimensions." Oliver Holmes
Stretching also improves blood circulation. Good blood flow results in heightened concentration and sharpened senses.

Morning Meditation

Meditating in the morning will have lasting positive effects throughout your day. Meditation reduces stress and anxiety, boosts your energy by releasing endorphins, and improves your ability to concentrate. The list of benefits go on. If you aren't meditating, your morning is missing something.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." - Aristotle
Set an Intent for the Day

As you begin your day, create a positive mantra, or visualize something you hope to accomplish that day, this is called an "intent". Spending time each morning to focus on your intent is a great way to promote positive thinking and help keep you on track to achieve your goals.

Prepare a Healthy Breakfast

Eating a healthy breakfast in the mornings will provide you with the energy you need to get through the day. Breakfast is necessary for replenishing glucose levels upon waking up, helping increase cognitive function for the remainder of the day. A balanced breakfast also promotes weight control and long-term health.

Make Your Bed

Making your bed and keeping a clean living area has been proven to reduce anxiety. Also, by making your bed first thing in the morning you are starting your day accomplishing something.

A well-organized sleeping environment will help you sleep much better and will improve the quality of the sleep itself and get you up and ready for your new morning routine. Three-quarters of people report having a better night's rest on sheets with a fresh scent, so make sure your sheets have a scent to your liking.

Change your bedroom sheets or wash them with a good detergent. Dim or shut off the lights, and cool down the room's temperature. Make sure that your sleeping environment is the best one for you.

The suggested room temperature range is 60-72 degrees. If you struggle with poor circulation, slip on some warm socks - cold feet are bad for sleep!

Morning Exercise

Exercising in the mornings is a great way to set yourself up for a more productive day. Working out will leave you in a better mood, allowing you to tackle the day head on. After exercising you will also be more alert and able to focus on whatever you have ahead.

There's Proof!

Studies have shown that you have the most willpower in the mornings. If you are able to implement all these activities into your daily routine, you will notice a visible difference in your energy levels and outlook on the rest of your day.

If our list feels like a lot to bite off, try starting out slowly and implement one part at a time.

We hope you found our advice beneficial and "Good Morning"!

Do you find yourself running out the door in the morning? Do you eat breakfast or don't you have the time? Is it time for you to be more productive during the day?

Discover How Innovation and Brain Power Is the Key to Success

Light Bulb Floating Above Person's Hand

The last article that I have written about innovation is the key to success; there was a paragraph in which I have mentioned how powerful the brain is when it comes to writing your ideas, to make your innovation a reality, in a notebook or journal.

Today, I am going to focus on the power of the brain and how you can use it to make your dreams or innovations come true.

In Biology, Psychology, or Anatomy classes, we learn that there are 2 main functions of the brain; they are called the Conscious and Subconscious. These 2 parts of our brain play an important role in everyday life. Some of you may think, "What has this got to do with innovation?" I will explain it to you.

The Subconscious Mind

For a building to exist, it is drawn up on a mental blueprint. The builder(s) have to visualize in their minds what the building is going to look like, how to tall it will be, and the materials that will be used before a physical blueprint is made.

For my readers, those who want to achieve success through innovation, I want you to draw a mental blueprint in your mind of who you want to be in the near future and figure out what it will take to make your dreams a reality. In this part of the exercise, do not write anything down as I will continue to discuss the importance of the subconscious mind, so that you can get a clear understanding of what I am talking about.

This part of your brain is where your dreams are active (awake and asleep) and where memories are stored.

1. Dreams. The innovations that we have today started out with dreams. The great Mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan, wrote his dreams down; many of which solved the riddles of Math and Physics. Your dreams play a vital role in starting your own innovation, so pay close attention to what dreams you have and see which ones are vital to your personal success.

2. Memories. There are many articles that I have written where I have used past memories and experiences and shared them with the world of how to become a better affiliate marketer. You wouldn't believe how many people have benefited from this as they have shared my articles on their websites or blogs.

Memorize important formulas or word definitions. I am sure that Mr. Ramanujan have memorized many Math formulas throughout his lifetime that led him to discover new formulas through his dreams. Memorizing important items will help you succeed on tests or discovering new ways to run a better business.

The Conscious Mind

If the Subconscious is the root of the tree, then the conscious mind is the main tree; it is the growth or the action part of the mind. It is where you make your dreams a reality!

1. Dreams. If you have a dream that is important to your innovation, write it down immediately in a notebook or journal; this means jumping out of bed in the middle of the night. If you are writing a book, dreams are a great to get started; you will visit worlds beyond your imagination and engage in an adventure that you will never forget.

2. Memorization. It is important to write in a journal everyday so that you can recall important events that have happened in your past. Who knows, you can create important tips in your next article or innovation that will help someone who is looking for answers to their question.

In conclusion, never neglect the power of your mind; it is the key to achieving personal and financial success. In your mind, innovation is born; start working on yours today!

Message From the Universe: The Simple Approach to Life!

"You eat to nourish your body. You sleep to rejuvenate your spirit. You study, work, and apply yourself for emotional gains. You exercise to tighten your muscles. You listen to music to entertain yourself.

You're not at all adverse to investing time and energy for the rewards you seek. So how about you spare just a few minutes every day to visualize the life of your dreams? Because nothing else you could ever do will make such a profound difference in your fortunes and misfortunes as working with your thoughts and beliefs.

You can start now,
The Universe"

It is not as difficult as you may think. You do everything else without much thought, just like eating, breathing, working out, or whatever else. You don't need someone to justify your actions because it is a part of who you are, and couldn't see yourself not doing the things you do everyday. However, when it comes to the mental awareness of who you can be in the future, it changes the dynamic on how your mind works on a day to day basis. You see, the problem is that we train our mind that all success, fortune and glory is reserved for all the very few among us living in this planet. Unlike the many who have a sense of entitlement and that life owes them something, a lot of people out there feel that they do not deserve the kind of success we see among the billionaires living in our planet. We can't seem to wrap our mind around that particular concept that we, also, deserve to succeed. I am not saying that everyone reading this post is looking to be the next billionaire, even though that won't hurt as bad, but the reality is that every of your thoughts, no matter its nature, is less likely to cross your mind when building yourself a great future. You feel that it is too good to be true or that how can this fortune come to you or whatever else your mind can construct. Because of these thoughts of insecurities, we subconsciously create a world that is not as intimidating as the wealthy life we strongly desire to possess. "If you think it, believe it and act upon it, IT will come".

Invest your energy into creating a life filled with abundance, joy, happiness and like everything else you do everyday, start training your mind so you can start accepting the good coming into your life. We face obstacles every day that comes out of our control, so why add more obstacles that are based on our thoughts and behaviors. Start looking at ways to bypass these hurdles by thinking positive and appreciate the things you already have. Appreciating doesn't mean to be complacent and settle for what you already have. Don't be an ingrate and complain that you don't have more or that this other person have more than you or whatever else. Be grateful and thank the Universe for the life you already have. Most issues you deal with today are thoughts that were created by YOU, around 6 months ago. You are dealing with these negative thoughts today, so even though it can be somewhat difficult to stay positive during difficult times, I would suggest to think that your thoughts today will have an impact on your outcome in 6 months. So might as well be a good one.

Do You Think Money Is Dirty? Follow These Steps to Bless and Purify Your Relationship With It

Almost everyone in our society has issues with money. To be effective and successful - to live the life of your dreams - it is essential to identify your money issues and heal your relationship with money.

I use the word money deliberately. Money is the dominant medium by which we acquire goods and services in our culture. Yes, it is important to cultivate Abundance Consciousness, and we can manifest finding money on the street. But at some point over-emphasis on Prosperity Consciousness instead of Money Consciousness becomes a means to avoid the issues that money - the word, concept and material fact - triggers for us.

To live well in our society, we need to come to terms with the reality of money. For many of us, this means identifying and releasing dysfunctional experiences, ideas and attitudes acquired about money in our childhood, young adulthood or past lives.

Money is freighted with your personal baggage as well as that of our culture. It's time to work through these issues. Whether you want to achieve business success, enhance your salary or expand your income in other ways, the time is now. And the Cosmos supports you - this is a propitious time to deal with money issues and attain wealth.

Many psychically and spiritually sensitive women avoid acquiring wealth because they think or feel money is dirty or a source of pain.

These women feel - consciously or unconsciously - the pain, conflict and attempts at control that can be in money's vibration. They hear the stories money picked up while circulating in our economy and society that are present when it comes into their possession. "There's no money for baby food because you drank it up at the bar." "I can't make the rent because I gambled my paycheck at the casino, and lost." "I'll give you money for a new car, but you have to promise... "

The negative energies these women sense in money leads them to avoid pain by avoiding money.

Many psychically and spiritually sensitive women avoid dealing with money altogether because of this sensitivity. They have no idea how much money they have because they don't balance their checkbooks - it's just too painful. This pain is compounded by the shame and guilt they feel over their inability to properly manage their money.

Money can be fraught with painful vibrations. However, money carries positive energy, too. Isn't it great to have the money to put a roof over your head and food on the table?

Take This Action Step:

If this is you, an essential first step to increase your money mindset and expand your Wealth Consciousness is to bless and purify your money.

Do this by clearing your money of any limiting or negative vibrations it has acquired as it circulates in the economy and society. This action step releases shame and guilt, too.

A simple and easy way to do this is to visualize a rectangle the size of your checkbook or debit card. (This works even is you rely on electronic bank transfers and never handle real cash.)

See this rectangle shape fill with Divine light and love. You may experience resistance at first. The rectangle my appear dingy, gray or dark. Keep at it. You soon will see it fill with beautiful white light and love.

Do this frequently. It works. You will begin to have peace with money, handle and manage it well, and balance your check book.

Playing Your Future Forward: A Technique to Keep Your Motivation Red-Hot

New Years is the time people are ready to wipe their slates clean and delve into possibilities. Dreams are re-examined and quite a few are turned into goals for that year. Even though one-third of the population throw aside their resolutions by February, weight loss tops the list of resolutions each year.

Weight loss can be difficult. People overeat for many different reasons--anywhere from emotional comfort to instant gratification. The process is a slow one which also requires you establish additional habits to support your weight loss other than just cutting back on eating. The quality of food, exercise and mental shifts are preferable companions in the process.

Intellectually, your "why" to losing the weight is straight forward. You know your cholesterol is high, you're a borderline diabetic, your internist has insisted you lose weight and you agree. You are aware you huff and puff after short walks, Yes, you are less agile.

Additionally, your self-confidence has plummeted as pounds creep along your frame. Looking into your closet is embarrassing because there are three different wardrobes in it---one for your regular frame, one for your sweltering one, and a wardrobe for the you that is three sizes your normal weight.

You agree with your wife that the fifty pounds might cause further disease. She asked you a poignant question, "Will you be able to see your children grow up?" Ouch. You got it.

As a result, beginning the program is easy, however, following through when emotions run high, and you've worked hard that week at losing weight and there is no noticeable move of the needle on the scale can deflate even the most enthusiastic dieter.

What do you do when you find your motivation waffling? When you are tempted to go back to old habits how do you persevere with your program?

Whether it is weight loss, or meeting the deadline of a project or staying focused in a job search, many of my clients have found this key helpful in keeping their motivation red-hot.

Play your future forward in a positive vein.

Visualize through your five senses what your future will look like in two years if you lose the fifty pounds.

See your self and admire your flat stomach as you put on the trousers to your new suit. A rush of pride rushes though your body. Not that you need them, but you hear compliments almost everyday about your new look. Self-confidence originates from knowing you are the best self you can be. Additionally, you feel more in control of your life than you have in a long time.

You and your wife's relationship has been revitalized. You do more things together and feel more connected. In fact, you've been an inspiration to your wife. You two have taken a healthy cooking class together. You two cook dinner together. You love it. Quality, great tasting meals are the norm at your house.

Now that you have more energy you find yourself coming home from work and playing with the kids.Your heart sings when you realize you just might be around to see your children grow up. To graduate. To get married.

By the way, your internist is happy--your cholesterol is under control.

You get the idea.

Your everyday, baby step efforts towards your goals will mount, create a momentum and you will reach your greatest desires if you can hold the future before you by playing the consequences forward---- you will win.

Law Of Attraction And How to Use It!

Smiling Woman With Pigeon on Hand
We live in a world of laws, and it is the key law of the universe that I wish to tell you about today, and that is the Law Of Attraction. You see, the LoA states that whatever you think about most dominantly in your mind you will begin to attract into existence. For example, have you ever longed to see an old friend? I mean, thought about this person almost to the point of obsessing over them for days on end and out of the blue someone else begins to talk about that person, or even better, they call you up to talk out of the blue? Now, all that obsessing and thinking simply created that situation into happening. You, through the secret law of attraction brought that into your life.

Obviously, that may have gone way over your head if you haven't heard this before, I would ask that you stick with me through this article and I promise you will be in a happier mood than when you began this journey of personal growth.

Your thoughts put out frequencies into the world, these frequencies have vibrations (you've heard of good vibes?) which will begin to attract anything else of the same likeness, being that all things are in constant motion and vibrating matter. You can begin to feel happy and excitement and like a magnet you will begin to attract the things that you want in life, cars, homes, and health.Though, the opposite is true if you are thinking negative thoughts, say for instance, you are thinking bitter and angry thoughts of debt and incompetence, you will naturally attract more debt, being that you are putting all your focus and thought on the word, "debt."

What do you really want in life, where do you see yourself, what are you doing? I would ask that you write it down and visualize yourself already having the things that you want, that's right, see them in the present tense and in doing so you affirm it to yourself. The universe is like a catalog, endless and full, use it to your full advantage, this is your life we're talking about. Remember to feel excited and joyful when doing this exercise. Passion allows things to manifest even faster, being that you are revving up the vibrations.

3 Steps To Take:

Ask - You will attract like a magnet the things you need in life if you use a laser like focus to contemplate them day in and day out.
Believe - Know with unending faith that you will have this want, in the time that is perfect for you.
Receive - The last step is to receive the things you need with a wonderful and loving gratitude, being so joyful that you didn't get discouraged and had self-doubt.
Many pessimistic people like myself have a hard time with this at first, freaking themselves out by learning the power of the secret. Pessimist's know that their thoughts always run towards the negative realm of ideas and situations. Hope is around the corner in the fact that scientists have proven that a positive thought is hundreds of times more powerful than a negative thought, so, understand that when you train your mind to become an optimist (over time, through personal development) and you develop a passion for the things you desire it will manifest more quickly than if it were a negative thought and action. So, remember to give your positive thinking a tune-up if it has been on the back burner for a while.

Another good thing about the Law of Attraction is that the universe has a time delay switch for the thoughts that you put into it. That's to say that, not everything will manifest from your thoughts all at once, it would be terrible if you thought about flock of seagulls ruining your party and within seconds they appeared and started relieving themselves everywhere. If you think a bad thought here and there, don't be too alarmed.

With the hundreds of thousands of thoughts you have throughout the day, this may all seem overwhelming to you, are you wondering how to keep track of all those thoughts, and how to rid all the bad thoughts? Simply put, our thoughts give off feelings inside our minds and bodies, this is an easy way that the universe gave us to have an idea about what we are creating in our life and for our future, i.e. good results.

Good Feelings To Bring Good Things-

Excitement, Joy, Love, An Emotional High, Gratitude.

Bad Feelings That Bring Bad Things-

Depression, Anger, Self Doubt, Anxiety.

Remember, you get what you are feeling about, not what you are thinking about. Feeling comes from the core of your body and is a more accurate gauge on what will manifest. If you are feeling terrible, having a no good day, your day will continue to spiral downwards until guess what? Until you put a stop to that terrible feeling and shift your emotions more positively to create a wonderful change for your entire day.

Recommended Tasks To Help Get Out Of Your Bad Mood:

Turn on happy music.

Play with your family pet.

Go for a walk / run.

Read.

Write a list of all the things that you are grateful for.

Have fun with this, enjoy yourself, try different things. One of my favorite things to do is lay in bed at night and think of all the things I am grateful for and when I am emotionally high I think long and focused on the one thing I want most. Now, it is easier for some to start with small things, like, maybe more followers on your blog or subscribers, set a number and focus on it.

"Thoughts become things."

Controlling Stress Through The Super Conscious Mind

Image result for hypnotherapy

Sure, we can all hypnotize and control ourselves temporarily through the subconscious mind temporarily. But, if you want a permanent and realistically working technique that works all of the time, use the super conscious mind. This article will not be a definitive treatise on doing this, but rather a primer to get you started on this road to understanding how and why to do this. The super conscious mind is the key to mindfulness. Changing the subconscious is only temporarily redirecting the auto pilot feature on your mind if the super conscious mind is not considered, understood or tapped, I will not say "controlled". I will not say the word "controlled" in this case, because the key to working with the super conscious mind is to tap its power, not control it.

Although, this has some directions on how to use the super conscious mind, I will leave you room to think for yourself and get creative for yourself in using this mode of mind, although I will give definite directions here with bullet points:

  • First, get still and go within, you cannot do anything without doing that in some way. On this, I can only say do the best you can, but still the movements of your conscious and subconscious minds through developed discipline. I know, that is hard at first, but keep at it and you will manage this first step.
  • Second: Visualize deeply what you want, and if you cannot visualize it, think deeply about what you want. I know, this sounds a little crazy, but this is really the sanest thing you can do. I mean, having what you genuinely want will decrease your stress deeply when you think about it, right?
  • Also, finally, you can come out of this state with some actual answers if you genuinely do it right. On this, I give you room to grow through trial and error in a sense.

Realistically, I can only give those three directions as a framework, because beyond all those directions is the possession of a creative, open mind that can genuinely use them fully.

Note: I did not say perfect mind, but I did say "creative and open mind". The creative and open mind needs a framework of sound or good ideas, but not anything rigid, the genuinely creative and open mind can genuinely find its way to its goal and I am so sketchy, because the super conscious is more complex and easy to use than any computer that can be invented by man. After all, the super conscious is the computer invented by God. Think about that deeply. If you need a basic modality to get what I am saying, refer to my article on what to do when you cannot get enough sleep at night.

Message From the Universe: You Are ALWAYS a Winner!

"Most don't stop to think but both having money and not having money make fantastic adventures possible that wouldn't otherwise be possible.

Same for having and not having anything else.

Everyone's a winner in time and space,
The Universe"

The Universe doesn't discriminate, either race or religion, color of skin or sexual orientation, it just DOESN'T care. Your thoughts are created by you, whoever you may be. You communicate with the Universe about what you want, regardless of your status. You want money and power? Make sure to be clear with your intent. Do not mix the good thoughts with the bad ones as the Universe may be confused as to what you really want or what you really deserve. Many mentors I have met in the past have always shared with me the Fake it until you make it approach. I am not saying to be a fake individual, I am just mentioning that your attitude will change with the feelings you are experiencing at that exact moment. If your feelings are of wealth and abundance, or if you visualize the path you are taking as that present time will guide you to ultimate wealth, you need to act upon your thoughts and believe it will happen. Just try it, and you will see what I am talking about. There is no reason why others made their dreams a reality, they all have the same organs, eyes, heart, lungs and brain to make all of their dreams come to reality. They are not designed differently besides their thought process. They think differently and act accordingly. So why not you?

There is no doubt that the successful people out there are wired differently. They will experience hell like every other person but what makes them different is overcoming hellish moments but come out a winner. Tough times last because you allow it to happen. After the rain comes the sunshine, unless you live in Seattle and rain last 360 days a year, but hey, you may still have 5 days or sunshine right? Look forward to the good and handle the bad. If success was easy, everyone would go for it but as you can see, not many experience great success in their lifetime. Who is to blame for that? Certainly not anyone else. Take action of your own present, because the past is already done, and the tomorrow has not yet happened. So what is left? You know the answer to that one!

Synchronicity Made Easy

I'm often asked, "Just what is synchronicity? How does it work?" Well, I'll tell you...

Carl Jung defined synchronicity as "the acausal connection between two or more seemingly unrelated events."
For instance, your boss wants you to put together a presentation on a topic you're not familiar with. That afternoon, you check LinkedIn and see an article on that exact topic, written by an expert in the field. Voila - it's the perfect article to help you get started on your work!

Synchronicity starts with mindsets, which are 'wardrobes' or templates for you to 'try on' and 'wear' so to speak. These mindsets develop in a number of ways. Sometimes you inherit a mindset from your family, sometimes you pick them up from who you go to school with. But just like any wardrobe you have in your closet, even though you're used to them it doesn't mean you can't change them.

A certain type of mindset from the collective unconscious draws people and situations to you → these are the foundation of synchronicity. Here are a few common mindset traps that people tend to fall into. See if you can notice them more consciously in your own life:

  • The Life is a struggle mindset
  • The I'm so busy mindset
  • The I'm better than so and so at _______ mindset
  • The Poor me mindset
  • The Middle class run kids to endless soccer and have no adult personal identity mindset
  • The Collect the most stuff mindset

Now think for a moment... What mindsets do you find yourself wearing? Notice which ones help you and which ones hold you back.

But why does synchronicity work?

Synchronicity works because we are part of a collective unconscious. What you believe draws people and situations to you. Therefore, for synchronicity to flow the best it's important for you to know who you are and what you believe - what defines you.

I encourage you to get clear on what you want in life. That is the key to unleash this flow that will help you create the life of your dreams. With synchronicity, clarity is key!

Sometimes, even when you think you have clarity, synchronicity still doesn't show up... that's usually because two things you desire are in conflict.

If that's something you're struggling with right now, below is a simple exercise to help you visualize a bridge between your two conflicting desires.

When you define what you value, it's easier to connect via synchronicity with the communities you resonate with.

So, a good place to start if synchronicity isn't showing up in your life is to explore who you are, meaning:

  • What defines you?
  • What is important to you?
  • What do you value?

These three questions will help you find clarity and identify a bridge (or two or three!) that can connect any conflicting values you may have. Then, synchronicity will be free to flow into your field effortlessly!

So give this exercise a shot and see what happens!

A Simple Tool To Keep Feeling Better and Better

Life can hand you many energy drains, thieves or blocks throughout your day. They come in all forms. People you meet who can apparently zap your energy just like that. The clutter in your house that drains you while you go about your thing - not even aware that this is happening. Or maybe it's your mind, where you give away your power, joy and ease by worrying over and over about something that will never happen. You get stuck in situations that frustrate you so immensely!

I'm not pretending to have the magic bullet, the one thing that you can do just once and all of life's struggles will be over. It doesn't seem to work like that. It's an ongoing thing. But I do have a very easy, simple and effective opening into keeping your energy flow going. I know it works like a charm for me!

Basically, there are two emotions: feeling better or worse. Or: inspiring or expiring. That feels nice and clear. I can handle that. Because you also know that you can choose how you feel about things - right? If you don't know this, I'm telling you it's true if you choose it to be. It's such a great relief to take responsibility for everything that happens in your life. Both within and without. So, now you can choose what to focus on and what to feel about it!

"Do what you like, like what you do" it says on one of my favorite t-shirts. This is how it is. Throughout your day, dare to focus on what makes you feel better. Start by becoming aware of how things make you feel. Life's not a succession of things that just happen to you and then you have no choice about how you feel about it. You're not a toy of your environment, but rather both the director and the actor. How does it get any better than that?

Feel your way through it. Does this thing or activity make you feel better or worse? Follow the better-feeling thoughts and actions. They will lead to even better-feeling thoughts and actions. Feeling good is your compass through life. It will lead you to your desires through your higher vibration. Do what you like. This is not a bad thing. And if you ever fail, don't beat yourself up for it. Be kind, especially to yourself.

And like what you do. Even if it doesn't thrill you to the bone, it's always good to simply be aware of how it feels, but not get stuck in resisting it. Just be OK with it and make a new choice for the next moment.

If you would visualize this path, you can clearly see that this approach will take you down the path of inspiration, of feeling good, further and further. You simply leave expiration, feeling worse, behind you. Ah, that feels like relief, doesn't it?

Happy travels!

Why Positive Thinking Does Not Work Until You Do It Correctly?

Does positive thinking work at all?

This is something contentious for many years in this self-development industry.

While having a positive attitude is generally better than being negative and complaining how bad the situation is, you can't rely on some delusional wishful thinking that blinds yourself from dealing with the real problem.

Yes, it's true that we should focus on the solution instead of the problem.

Yes, it's true that we should remain calm and master our emotions.

Yes, it's true that a negativity-dominated mind will toxic our blood and ruin our well-being.

But if you just think positively about the mess and don't take action to remedy the situation, no real positive things are going to happen.

In a research study in 2011, Gabrielle Oettingen, Professor of Psychology at New York University and the University of Hamburg, found that the more time people spend on indulging in a positive fantasy, the less energy they are going to generate to pursue the desired future, and thus the less likely they actually take action to reach the goal.

So positive thinking is actually a self-delusional tool that tricks our minds into perceiving that we've already reached our goals, and thus we have a decreased motivation to actually pursue it.

Shocking finding, isn't it?

The good news is there's actually a mental strategy that you can use now to fulfill your wishes and dreams.

It's called the WOOP strategy, also known as the Mental Contrasting with Implementation Intentions (MCII) in scientific terms.

Basically, WOOP stands for Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, and Plan.

Firstly, you do want to think, dream, wish or visualize the outcome you want to achieve in the next 30 days. It should be something challenging that requires you to stretch yourself to attain it.

Secondly, you will think about what's so great about achieving that outcome. How good does it feel to fulfill that accomplishment? Imagine the scenario.

Thirdly and most importantly, you must also imagine the possible obstacles, challenges or hindrances of reality that might prevent you from achieving that outcome. What are your inner conflicts or beliefs that might sabotage you? What are the thoughts that might pop up that don't serve you? What bad old habits might hold you back? Imagine those fully as well.

Finally, you want to plan out what you are going to do when the obstacles actually appear. Use this "If... (obstacle), then I will... (action or thought)" formula to overcome your challenges.

This powerful WOOP method is scientifically proven to strengthen your mental associations, increase your energy, and enhance your performance. You're going to feel more motivated to make clear decisions, take actions and engage with the world at large.

It's time to give up the idea of "thinking positively".

Go implement the WOOP method.

Shift your focus from your goals to the action-oriented process.

And go take massive real world action to overcome the obstacles you've envisioned!

Self Affirm And Problem Solve Better Under Stress

How well do you solve problems under stress? We all went through having to prepare for exams sometimes at the last minute. Perhaps you've had to come up with a business proposal on short notice. In general, it is well known that the effects of acute and chronic stress interfere with problem solving requiring flexibility and adaptation. Acute stress can help rote memory, which is probably why so many "crammers" for exams actually did satisfactorily. However, if the task involves more complex problem solving increased stress interferes.

Yet, in the last several years there is new research indicating that self-affirmation can lessen the interfering effects of stress on problem solving. What exactly is an affirmation? According to researchers at Carnegie Mellon University, "self-affirmation is the process of identifying and focusing on your most important values". In my own work, I prefer the definition that an affirmation is a statement that describes your goal in its completed state. For example, if you are trying to lose weight, your self affirmation might be that "I am feeling lean and powerful at my perfect body weight of 170 pounds".

Using self-affirmation can improve your problem solving skills under pressure. The research team at Carnegie-Mellon University found that a brief self affirmation activity helped buffer the negative effects of chronic stress on task performance when stress levels were rated by questionnaire, heart rate, and blood pressure.

But you have to do it right. When working with clients, I start with the following guidelines:

1. Start with the words I am.
2. Use the present tense.
3. State it in the positive. Affirm what you want, not what you don't want.
4. Keep it brief.
5. Make it specific.
6. Include an action word ending with -ing.
7. Include at least one dynamic emotion or feeling word.
8. Make affirmations for yourself, not others.

Then it is important to create the affirmation for yourself using the following guidelines:

1. Visualize what you would like to create. See things just as you would like them to be.
2. Hear the sounds you would hear if you already had achieved your vision.
3. Feel the feeling you want to feel when you created what you want.
4. Describe what you are experiencing in a brief statement, including what you are feeling. Start the sentence with the words "I am so happy and grateful that I now... Make sure it is stated in the present.
5. Edit it as needed.

Self affirmations work best for you when you combine the above guidelines with visualizations of how things will be when your goal is achieved, whether it is a personal or business goal.

When you are under high stress, you will initiate better problem solving by taking a little time to create and/or reflect on a self affirmative statement that is important to you. For example, if faced with a business deadline and you are inclined to feel high levels of stress, create a self affirmation such as "I am happy that I am working well at creating cohesion among my team to complete our sales project".

This strategy is reasonably easy and you can use it before you enter a high pressure situation or start a self improvement project. Give it a try. If you start to do it regularly, you will be surprised at your successes.

Message From the Universe: Trusting Yourself Is Crucial

"Having a dream... Courage.

Visualizing your dream... Persistence.

Physically moving towards your dream... Guts.

Letting go of the "cursed hows"... Wisdom.

The look on your friends faces, when they see you on the red carpet... Priceless.

Yeah, that oughta light a fire -
The Universe"

Sounds like a familiar TV ads with MasterCard right? I guess everything you do or every step you take is getting you closer to reaching your ultimate dream. Having a dream is great, but not knowing how to visualize it can be detrimental to understanding what you are trying to gain with this dream. Let's say you mastered visualization with lots of meditation, it is important to take action and taking the necessary steps to actively reaching your goals. There is, like with anybody else on earth, a little voice inside wondering HOW the hell will this ever be done or achieved. You start questioning yourself, and putting lots of your energy on the negative thoughts instead of the positive ones. You forget that the how's aren't your problems since you've already delegated this task to the Universe. Yes, your read it clearly. The How's isn't your problem, just make sure you continue delegating this task to the force from above. The Universe will abide by your wishes as long as you continue walking on the path to success. Many will think it can't be that easy. Guess what? More you think of it not being easy, and less easy it will get. So why torture yourself this way? What is the point to all that?

WE all know that throughout your journey to success, you will come across family and friends who are very afraid of you succeeding. They will do everything in their power to warn you, to advise you, to share their concern about wasting your time and energy on things that will NEVER happen. They will come up with the worst scenarios as potential failure can happen and you may lose EVERYTHING. OK, let's analyze that one for a second. First, why did you allow them to know anything about what you do for them to give you any advice? Are you waiting for their approval for the things you want to do in your life? Do you need their authorization for creating your own future? So how do they know anything about your dreams or goals? No one should know anything except yourself or the people you know you can trust or mentors who are there not to judge you but to encourage you when wanting to reach your dreams. Stay away from the ones who are afraid of their own shadow. Stay far away from them if you can. They are afraid of doing anything positive in their lives but don't want to be left out when YOU succeed. So by the time you do walk the red carpet, look around and enjoy the success. Be ready to get calls from the so called friends who discouraged you to congratulates for an amazing job. The look in their eyes when they read about you on Fortune 500 magazine... PRICELESS!

How Does The Law Of Attraction Work In Relationships?

Using the Law of Attraction for love and relationships works whether you believe it will or not.

Many people describe the law of attraction as the process by which thoughts become things. But mostly the process has more to do with energy dynamics. It's about becoming conscious of your internal state, attuning to your own energy to that, and using the connection to create your reality.

When using the law of attraction in relationships, you have to stop focusing on what your love life or relationships are like now.

If you think that you'll never find love, the law of attraction will bring you more instances where you don't have love.

Don't look at your relationship as it is now, but visualize it and mentally picture how you want it to be.Live as if it already is reality.

You can do various things to try to improve your relationship, but if they are carried out when you feel frustrated, angry, sad, or disappointed, you will not send the right type of vibration to attract improvement. You will send the vibration of frustration, anger, sadness, or disappointment.

When you use the Law of Attraction to fulfill your desires, you need to match your vibration with the frequency that you want to receive. Therefore, if you want your partner to be understanding and thoughtful, You need to be understanding and thoughtful. That's why your Frequency Is Important.

You can use attraction to turn things around and enhance your relationship. The best way to begin is to do the opposite of what you are probably doing right now that is not working. Don't pay attention to what your partner is doing that you dislike. Instead, focus intently on what you do like and what is going well between you.

Turning things around is very helpful.

Couples start their relationships thinking positive, optimistic thoughts that are forgiving and kind toward each other. Later, expectations and responsibilities enter their union and baggage accumulates. When it does, negative thoughts creep into the picture and people send negative vibrations to one another. As a result, they attract unhappiness.

Your emotions stem from your thoughts, which influence your perception regarding your relationship.

The process of manifesting gets easier with time and practice.

Attraction can bring you and your partner together. All you need to do in order to make your relationship work is to focus on joy and connectedness.

Did You Know That Positive Affirmations Can Improve Your Life And Well-being? Here's How!

The dictionary defines affirmations as, "statements, which affirm something to be true." In simple terms, positive affirmations are positive phrases, which you repeat to yourself and which describe how you want to be.

The theory of this practice dictates that when you repeat affirmations as if they were already a reality (when they are not) the message seeps deep into the subconscious mind, so you really start to believe them, and eventually they will become your reality. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

At first, you should state the phrase(s) intentionally, to counter any negative thoughts that creep into your mind. Over time, the phrases should occur naturally, without you having to intentionally think about them. At this point, the phrases become part of your subconscious, part of your very mentality, which has a tremendous effect on your life and wellbeing.

How To Use Positive Affirmations

Select affirmation phrases that are only 4-5 words long so that you won't forget them. Make them present, positive, and personal.

In staying present, use "I am... " instead of "I will be... "

In staying positive, make sure the phrase is uplifting. Examples could be "I like my artistic side" and "I am successful" and "I love myself."

Lastly, in staying personal, use phrases whenever possible that directly apply to your unique skills and qualities.

For example, "I paint landscapes beautifully" and "I organize my time well."

It is best to only pick 1-3 phrases that you can really focus on per day, because you should be repeating the same phrase to yourself repeatedly.

The phrase(s) should be related to anything particular that you are struggling with that day or doubting yourself about. The phrase(s) may not change for days or weeks at a time, until you are able to truly believe them and they become one with your subconscious.

The best time to use the affirmations is when you are not busy with other tasks. Spend 5-10 minutes repeating the phrase(s) to yourself, either mentally or out loud if no one is around you. Do this first thing in the morning and multiple times during the day, as you are able.

Make it a habit to also say them as you are trying to fall asleep. Make sure you are relaxed when you begin. Try taking deep breaths before you start, and concentrate on the words as you are saying them.

Go one-step further and visualize the phrase in your mind as you say it. This helps to integrate the phrase into your subconscious.

How Positive Affirmations Affect Your Well-being

Research shows that positive affirmations improve your well-being. Specifically, positive affirmations can do the following things in your life:

Build Your Confidence - As the positive phrases become implanted in your subconscious, you will come to think more highly of yourself and your self-esteem and confidence will grow.

Empower You To Accomplish Your Goals - As your confidence grows, you will trust more in your capabilities and be able to successfully reach your goals. The visualization technique previously mentioned helps with this too, because if you envision what your life looks like when you have obtained a specific goal, then it will be easier to motivate yourself to work towards it. One great example of this is weight loss, as studies have shown affirmations to have positive effect on success in people losing weight versus subjects who did not employ the technique.

Lead To Prosperity - You will find yourself more successful in your career, in your relationships and in your personal life when you live life with a positive mentality.

Lead To Romance - Whether you have long doubted your abilities to sweep another person off their feet, or you have been in a relationship that you view as mediocre, this will all change with a new attitude. When the positive affirmations change your mentality, which changes your outlook on life, you will have the confidence to sweep someone off of their feet or to re-invigorate your current relationship. You will be a much happier person, and that happiness will flood into your romantic life.

Heal Your Mind And Body - Research studies show a strong connection between the mind and body. People with a positive mentality control their stress and blood pressure better and demonstrate a stronger resiliency against disease. They also have effective coping skills when dealing with life's maladies that make them resilient and well equipped to deal with stressful situations and come out on top, instead of succumbing to the pressure.

Can Be Applied To Any Situation - No matter the personal struggle, applicable affirmations can be created and applied.
You can achieve all of these things with positive thinking. It all starts with affirmations that are present, positive and personal. Never underestimate the power of positive words!

Tips for Improving Your Memory

Focus on the task at hand. While we often say we are multitasking, the reality is that doing one thing well is better than doing several things poorly. You do need to be in the moment and pay attention. Recently flying home from a cross country trip, we couldn't find the car upon returning which was frustrating. How many times have we parked the car in a crowded parking lot, only to come back out and have to think where we parked? Look at your surroundings instead of your cell phone to mentally take note of the location of the car notable landmarks. Be in the moment.

Take notes. If we had written down the parking lot section at the airport, we wouldn't have wasted a half hour after an exhausting day of travel. Someone once said, "A short pencil is better than a long memory." With the fast pace of the world, give yourself an edge and write it down. That also includes using a calendar for appointments.

Repeat it. Someone tells you their birthday is next week and you want to acknowledge it with a phone call on the actual birthday. Repeat it aloud and think about what you would say. Do that a few times and you will remember.

Have a place for everything. Many people complain about misplacing car keys. Get a basket or key rack and use it. Putting your car keys in the same place will save you time in the morning. If your son can't find his shoes all the time, then get a shoe rack for the closet.

Good habits save time. We are creatures of habit and this can work to our advantage. Have a mental checklist before leaving to make sure you have that dry cleaning you want to dropping off after work or your lunch you packed. Don't remember if you turned off the iron or not? Make it a point to disconnect any electrical appliance as soon as you are done with it and better yet, only buy appliances with automatic shut off.

Plan ahead. Check your pantry items for the upcoming week, make a menu and use a grocery list help save needless extra trips to the store because you forgot things. A little time getting organized will help you remember better as you can see how prepared you are already and will feel more confident.

Chunk the information. This is a strategy with which to remember something like a phone number or address. Take the smaller parts, repeat them a few times and memorize them separately. The idea of memorizing smaller sections and then putting it together is easier than remembering large amounts of information. This is a great study technique for students who need to memorize things.

Don't let electronics rule you. Many people get so wrapped up in their TV, computer or phone that they feel like they do not need to remember anything as modern technology will do it for them. As an exercise for your memory, take time to remember your important numbers in case you misplace your phone.

Memory joggers. Return to the location where you had the thought you can't remember. Sometimes there is a visual clue that hit you when you had that thought. Life is so fast paced that taking a moment to think about what you were going to do or say helps bring the thought back.

Visualize. Think through the idea of what you are trying to remember by picturing it. When you paid your bill, did you do it online or write a check? How much was the bill for? And what type of stamp did you use? Which collection box did you use? Making a mental movie of what you did can help sharpen your memory.

Play games. Use mnemonics to help you remember your errands. Make a rhyme of your list you want to remember or sing out the list. Exercise the brain with brain teasers, puzzles and cross word puzzles.

Your memory is a use it or lose it process. With television, the Internet and our cell phones, we have let our minds become lazy and complacent and don't always employ strenuous thinking. For example, driving down the street, we may know the route to take, but can we easily name the roads and route numbers, enough to give good directions to others? Make the connections and make a conscious effort to exercise your brain. If you try these tips and they are not helping, you may want to discuss this with your doctor.

The Surfing Lesson

The water glistens. I can barely look at its beauty through squinting eyelashes as the blue mist touches my lips and the gulls screech their songs above. I feel the wind brush my face and sweep her maternal fingers through my hair as I paddle out on the board, full of butterflies...

The salty Pacific splashes through chilled toes, and I visualize myself riding her waves back to shore.

I get ready. I know I can do this. I am what I think. Paddle paddle. Strong arms. Lift off! What a rush! as I stand shakily and ride the wave to shore.

As the hours pass, I try to catch more waves. I fall. I get up. I fall. I get up. I get frustrated. My shoulder hurts. This board feels like a lumbering bear, maneuvering it in the water. Try, try and try again. Sometimes it's success; sometimes it's a bailout.

The surf class has ended. I'm exhausted and a little disappointed. This Cali gal thought surfing was going to be the end-all, the epitome of fun, flow and adventure. Even standing on the board, riding the waves didn't add up to sky-scraper-high expectations.

As I paddle back to shore, something from deep inside tells me to lay my head on the board. Let your arms float out to your sides, I hear. As my body sighs with relief, I surrender. I feel the waves move beneath me and feel how I am connected to the pull of the tides, the moon, the heartbeat of the Earth.

Here exhilaration, at last! I am One with the waves, the sea, the blue green planet, swirling in me, under me and through me.

As I float up and down in sacred silence, I feel complete. I trust the All of it.

So this is why I came to the surfing class. This is why I'm here. I breathe gratitude from my lips as my cheek rests on the bobbing board.

Sometimes our reasoned and well-meaning plans don't show up like what we expected or projected or thought they would look like. Sometimes our expectations get in the way of hidden treasures.

Thank you surfing lesson for reminding me to Trust. Everything always works out. Everything is perfect, even in its seeming momentary imperfection.
