Does My Mentality Limit My Success

As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he - Proverbs 23:7

Some have said success is a mental thing. To the extent that it is virtually impossible to be a real success with a failure mentality that is true. But just how important is mentality to success? Can you really "Think and Grow Rich" like Napoleon Hill wrote in his world-famous book?

It is impossible to separate what we are in our core from what we believe about ourselves. We may say things that are different than what we believe but we cannot think things that are different than our beliefs. If you believe you can, you can; if you believe you can't, you can't. What you believe you will achieve in this lifetime.

Anytime a person sets out on a journey to become successful in any endeavor the first thing they must accept is the dream they have about being a success. They think they can do something; they imagine themselves doing it and soon their actions reflect what they have been thinking all along. Actions follow thought and when it comes to becoming a success actions follow intentional thought.

Success starts with a dream. We see in our minds eye an event or circumstance that involves what we are hoping for. I remember as a young man wanting to own a home. Didn't think it was possible. Then the building we were living in went up for sale and I was going to have to move soon. That prompted me to stop and consider what purchasing a home would entail. When I looked at the programs available for first time homebuyers, the cash involved (which I could have to close the deal) and the process it would take. I went over the idea with my wife and she jumped on board.

The process of (1) never thought about it (2) now I am thinking about it (3) how do I make this dream a reality is the thought process people who are now successful had to go through. Every great project begins with a dream. If you can see it, you can have it. But when it's out of mind it will remain out of sight. The goal of becoming successful is to utilize the concepts of visualization, repetition and faith in your ability to accomplish anything you set your mind to do.

It's not the man with skills or intellect or experience that ultimately wins; it's the man who thinks he can, regardless of the obstacles and difficulties he must endure to get there.

When Things Go Wrong In Life, Don't Follow Your Problems

Don't Go With The Problem

Many people are experiencing difficulties in their lives than ever before, given the Coronavirus pandemic and economic uncertainty surrounding it. Problems are inevitable and hoping they go away is only wishful thinking. Challenges are sewn into the fabric of life and there are two ways to view them. We can see them as serving no point in our life, or conversely, that they contain the seeds of opportunities for our personal growth. How about you? What do you believe is the reason for problems in your life? What is your mindset when things go wrong? Do you stay stuck in your difficulties or do you try to find a solution?

I admit, when problems arise in my life, my initial reaction was one of anxiety and worry. I felt I had little control over the situation and found it difficult to deal with. However, I've come to distance myself from the drama nowadays, instead of overreacting. By distancing ourselves from a situation, we create a space between the problem, so we don't ruminate on it. We must also allow the passage of time to reveal more information about what we're experiencing. When I encounter a major problem, it seems that weeks and months later, it has evolved to something completely differently. I had this conversation with a coaching client recently, who experienced the same negative emotions. I invited her to mentally distance herself from the drama, otherwise she was likely to stay stuck in her negative emotions without finding a solution.

Are you happy with the idea that we needn't bring negative emotions to the table each time life doesn't go according to plan? Sometimes, what appears as a problem can be a stroke of luck, if we withhold our beliefs about it. Our problems are similar to horses tethered to a chariot. Given the opportunity, they will run wild and we're unable to keep them from taking off. Things will always go wrong in life and our task is to overcome it as best we can. The key message here is that when things go wrong, don't go with your problems; focus on the solution. We must become solution orientated instead of allowing problems to pull us into a pit of despair.

Problems Are Nourishment For Your Soul

When difficulties emerge, we are inclined to believe life is unfair. I've met many resilient leaders over the years who don't allow their problems to overwhelm them but seek to understand the lessons contained within them. These people have experienced many challenges throughout their life without getting caught up in the drama. You've heard it said that problems are opportunities for growth, but that means minor comfort when we face challenges bigger than us.

For example, think of a recent challenge you overcame? What lessons did you learn from it? What actions did you take to deal with the problem? If we believe difficulties are bigger than us, we remain helpless and stuck, instead of trying to overcome it. I assure you; the most trying experiences contain a solution and sometimes it requires digging deep within ourselves to find it. We may encounter frustration, anger and disappointment, but don't despair when you experience these emotions. It's means you are toiling away in the trenches to find a way out.

What I'm suggesting is; the more problems you face, the better you become at dealing with them. The bigger the problem, the greater your level of growth. Our personal growth is associated with our self-esteem and character, which are indicative of living intentionally and purposefully. We cannot avoid problems because there is always one waiting on the next corner. The problems that frustrate me most are ones that emerge when I least expect it. But I've learned that the universe will test my resolve to see whether I am growing to deal with the challenges.

So, going back to the problem you experienced recently, what is the lesson you're invited to learn from it? What qualities is the universe trying to develop within you? When we resist an experience, we resist the growth associated with it. It is like receiving a present on your birthday, but refusing to open it. You've no doubt experienced enough birthdays to know that a present is a gift to cherish. And so of our problems. The universe rarely gives us an experience packaged beautifully, with a bow on it. They are clothed in pain, disappointment and difficulties. So, when things go wrong, don't follow your problems and create greater worries for yourself. Instead, see the lessons as a gift and your problems will become nourishment for your soul.

Your Thoughts Determine Your Life

There is clearly a universal law which states that your thoughts determine your life and it is evident that you cannot escape it. It is as real as the gravity which pulls you. Your past choices create your life. Most people often live as if this phenomenon does not exist, while others know it to be true.

What is this universal law? Why would your thoughts have an impact on your life? Why is it so important to understand?

What you think often comes out in the form of words and to other people around you. You may not realize it, but your words have an impact on how you feel about yourself. They can also influence how others may feel or think.

You may like it or not; thoughts are ideas that transform into words, convey actions and determine your life. In short, you have to watch your thoughts because they become words which often create impulsive or unwanted actions that create the life you have.

What I mean is that you share your joy, your love and your dreams with your words but your doubts, your sorrow, and your fears as well. The key to a life of wealth, success, and happiness is to cultivate an internal image of what you want, which only comes by way of constructive and optimistic thinking.

Have you ever come across someone who had an average or poverty mentality? Have you ever known somebody that says one thing but think another?

The Average or Poverty Mentality

There are countless of people out there thinking in such a way. Their thinking and actions are a prime example of how thoughts govern their lives. They have a view attitude that never imagines anything above and beyond their current reality. You can often tell by the words such a person uses.

Individuals with such a mindset are often blaming and complaining but somehow are content, and have enough with whatever life gives them, even if it apparently destroys their lives. Their words, attitude, outlook, doubts, and choices reveal a way of thinking that does not trust the Universe or their abilities. As a result, they keep experiencing poverty or average in many parts of their lives.

Thoughts determine the life we live. Average or poverty involves lack, and I will point out that this lack is not only limited to finances. You can be poor when it comes to relationships. You can also be lacking good health. This mentality is designed to touch all aspects of a human being.

Thinking Life Is Unfair

A lot of people believe that life is unfair. Well, let's take the idea of quitting your job, selling your house, take the money and invest it in a business, so you can be your boss and create a better life. That is a difficult idea, isn't it? And yes, it would scare the daylight out of most people. Why?

Beliefs Controls Results

It is because of your thoughts controlling your life which are not in harmony with your unconscious beliefs or paradigms as Bob Proctor so well put it. But you should know that these ideas, beliefs, and standards are what control your results. That is why you can have people who have all kinds of degrees, are intellectually brilliant, and yet the results do not match.

While there are other people, with no formal education and business experience, and yet the results show that they are earning millions of dollars. What is the reason? It is their thoughts and paradigms. In one of his videos, Bob Proctor explains well by saying "Change your habits, change your life".

Thoughts Turn into Habits

Not only do your thoughts determine your future but it turns into a habit when repeated frequently and over time. A habit is an action you regularly do, often without even thinking about it. If you like thinking or doing something, then you often repeat it over and over until done unconsciously.

Habits can be both beneficial and harmful. It can be called a benefit or addiction. Your every day is full of these little habits that you do subconsciously. These are your usual ways of doing. Therefore, your thoughts which lead to your habits made you who you are, and create your personality.

Begin Changing Your Beliefs

Now, what you can do is learn how to modify this set of thought beliefs of yours. You must think thoughts that support what you want and desire. Remember that your thoughts govern your life, and your habits determine your character. So you should only think of what you do want and not about what you do not want.

Be Mindful of Your Thoughts

"Be careful of your thoughts, for your thoughts become your words. Be careful of your words, for your words become your actions. Be careful of your actions, for your actions become your habits. Be careful of your habits, for your habits become your character. Be careful of your character, for your character becomes your destiny." - Chinese proverb, author unknown.

These are beautiful words that are as relevant today as they were in the past. They deserve to be written here. If you examine these words, you discover that you are given the cure to change or redirect your life and future.

Transform Negative Thinking

So, the thoughts, beliefs, and actions you have or do each day control your destiny. Therefore, if you have negative thoughts and if you are judging yourself and others negatively, your actions will follow your thoughts, and it is what you will focus on.

You have to begin thinking positive thoughts if you want your world to transform. Learn that if you do not like to be judged, then you should not judge others. You might find yourself feeling lonely and mistreated. These thoughts make your future appear miserable.

Your Thoughts Determine Your Life

Your thoughts create words which create action, which in turn determines your life. Your thoughts can create closeness or separation, motivate you, calm you or stimulate you. They can even change your entire belief system. So be cautious about what you think. Be fully aware of your thoughts before they become words, and be wary the actions that follow your words.

There are a few more important reasons as to why your thoughts determine your life. I would encourage you to start paying a little more attention in your life.

Your Past Choices

Your habits and thoughts determine your future. It is called the law of sowing and reaping, the law of attraction. The "you" you are today is a package deal of your past choices in life.

It is painful for anyone to admit that it is their responsibility and the fault lies with them. Instead, people often blame or point to their situation, bad luck, or how they are a victim of the circumstances when negative things happen in their life. So, accept responsibility and make a change.

Creature of Habits

It does not matter if you admit it or not, you govern your life through thoughts and practices. In fact, all experts agree that 90% of our daily actions are based on subconscious habits.

You have habits for everything such as your everyday routine, commuting, going to work, paying your bills and spending your free time. So, you have to begin identifying your habits, surely the ones that are not taking you where you want to go.

Your Thoughts Control Your Existence

There is a powerful principle on why your thoughts control your existence if they do not connect with actions. You can have all the intention in the world when you want to achieve something, but if your day-to-day actions are going the opposite way, you will never end up where you want.

If you are in Canada and decide to drive to the United States, you do not go north. It does not mean a thing if you are well prepared, packed the necessary stuff, how great is your plan or map because going north won't get you there.

Your intentions in life mean nothing if they are not backed up by actions. Your thoughts, habits, and actions determine your destination.

Where Your Focus is so Will You Be

Now, do you understand why it is so critical to match your thoughts with your words and actions? You have to draw a clear picture of where you want to go in life and focus on it. You need to review it weekly. Along with your journey, you might have to adjust your sails, re-align your thoughts, actions, and habits to meet your life's objectives finally.

You have to think the right thoughts at all time and take the right actions toward your goals. Yes, you might fall and get a few bruises along the way, but if your habit is not to give up, but to get up and try once more, then your future will be a success.

Therefore, you have to focus by holding positive thoughts and taking action, and you will determine a life destined for accomplishment. You may think you have no actual goals in your life, but let me remind you that if you are working for someone else, he has created them for you. No matter what you believe, you are going in the direction of your thoughts because they determine your life.

Just Because It Feels Right Doesn't Make It Right (By Tim Connor)

You would be amazed at how many people let their feelings rather than common sense or reality determine their attitudes, behavior, and decisions. Now, I'm not implying that all feelings are not appropriate or don't have value when it comes to life and career choices and actions but in a world driven today by so many emotional circumstances you might just want to pause or even check your feelings at the door before you make serious decisions or react or respond to various situations.

Let me give you a couple of real examples that I have witnessed in the past several days while on the road speaking in several states.

Flying back from Oklahoma a few weeks ago, the gate agent seemed to be in a depressed mood. They just weren't very friendly, accommodating or interested in my question. So, being who I am I tried to make them laugh with a simple and straight-forward comment (innocent and non-threatening in any way). Well - they jumped all over me with "Who do you think you are talking to me that way? I don't have to put up with your crap. I can't believe anyone could be that insensitive." Etc. Etc.

Needless to say, I ended the conversation and headed back to my seat and opened my book and started reading.

While eating lunch at a restaurant I overheard the couple behind me give the server the "you better or else" treatment because they didn't bring the bread to the table fast enough. They then complained to the manager (where everyone within earshot could hear) about the experience and saying the person should be fired.

Ever had anyone blow up at you when what you said or didn't say or did or didn't do that was as kind, compassionate, simple etc. that even someone from another planet would not interpret incorrectly but they did?

Folks, just because you are in a hurry and behind me in line doesn't mean I have to rush the person in front of me.

Just because it's raining, and you don't like rain doesn't mean I have to listen to your ranting and raving about rain. Just because I am an insensitive idiot doesn't mean you have to put up with me and don't have the right to walk away or leave the room.

But, it doesn't help when we "lose it" regardless of the importance or lack of it in any situation. And believe me, we are living at a time when a lot of folks have really thin skin or any number of rules, expectations or guidelines as to what is acceptable or even allowed currently in today's world according to their values, beliefs etc. no matter how far out of reality they might be.

Don't believe me? I have over 3000+ articles on a variety of various global websites and add several new ones each week and believe me - I get at least ten emails a day from someone around the world who takes issue with what I have said or how I have said it. Get over it...

Trust me - I'm not implying that I am right, the smartest person in the Universe, the most experienced, the best at anything or even smarter than you - but I do have the right to share my opinion, idea, comment - whatever - and yes you have the right to comment back to me about it - but let me ask you - do you really think you help your cause by making it (your disagreement with me) public to everyone - everywhere?

When we let our feelings - which are nothing more than internal emotional expressions of beliefs, values, attitudes, expectations, rules etc. shared in an external way - we might want to consider that the person in front of us, behind us or even next to us, just is not interested in our ranting, raving or our opinion.

I have seen more people on social media sites share personal stuff that I just can't believe that they would want out there in public. Do you really think most people care that you were dumped? Do you think most people care that I am lonely, angry, frustrated - whatever? Yes, maybe a few close friends, relatives or maybe even co-workers or clients might care or have an interest - but the whole world?

Do you really need that much attention? Are you really that insecure? Are you really that needy? Are you really that narcissistic?

We all have life issues, challenges, problems, disappointments, failures, losses, frustrations etc. But do you really think the entire world gives a crap about all of your stuff?

Again, it's simple - if you don't like my article - stop reading. Throw it away. Delete it - whatever. If you don't like the movie - leave. If you don't like the TV show - use the remote. If you don't like the noise in the restaurant - leave. If you disagree with someone on a social media site - delete them, unfriend them, unfollow them.

It's not that complicated.

If I care, I care and if I don't I don't. If I do it's because you and I are emotionally connected in some way. If I don't that doesn't make me disrespectful, uncompassionate or any other negative emotional response.

There is an incredible amount of pain and suffering everywhere in the world today. I've seen it in every one of the 45 counties I have spoken in or visited. Hunger, death, pain, loss, suffering etc. is rampant everywhere in the world and even in our country. I can't be there for everyone, but I can be there for the people that matter in my life or I know personally. This doesn't mean I am not aware or sensitive to all of the global, national or community pain and wrongdoing but none of us have the capacity to spend our time and life just feeling for what everyone around us is feeling or experiencing while disregarding our own lives.

I don't care if it's the ASPA, St. Jude, Shriners or Savelives.com. I can't be there for everyone and everyone can't be there for me.

I don't know about you but the continuous expression on social media by people who feel they are experiencing unique life challenges that the rest of us have never had to deal with - well, trust me - I've been there and so have you.

Your Beliefs Control Your Destiny, Whether You Like It Or Not

Are Your Beliefs Serving You?

Your beliefs control your destiny because they are the imprint upon which the future is cast. Take a moment and reflect on your current beliefs. Think about how you acquired them in the first place and whether they have changed over time? Many of us form beliefs when we're young and hold on to them with strong conviction. If our beliefs are challenged, we respond angrily because of their importance in our lives. But what if our beliefs are not working for us? For instance, I recall growing up, the importance of working hard to earn a living. This became my belief for the past three decades. However, my parents immigrated to this country in the late fifties and worked hard to make a life in a new country. From their perspective, working hard equated to the success required to thrive in their new surroundings.

Nowadays, with the tech boom we have seen countless young entrepreneurs become multimillionaires and billionaires overnight. The painstaking hard work approach my parents were familiar with has been replaced with big ideas and innovation. The point I wish to make is: we must upgrade our beliefs as our life circumstances change. Many beliefs are passed down from one generation to another and are rarely questioned. What about you? Are your beliefs serving you? How do you know? You need only look to your present circumstances to see whether your beliefs are working for you or against you. For example, how would you rate your relationships, whether they be intimate, friends or otherwise? What is the state of your finances or career? What is your health like? We need to be honest and score ourselves in each of these areas to see whether our beliefs are empowering us or working against us.

Be Willing To Upgrade Your Beliefs

Fate does not influence our destiny, our beliefs do because they control our actions. Take for example my mother who rarely drives into the CBD because she believes it is difficult to find parking spots on the street. On the other hand, I have worked in the CBD for years and known parking spots are readily available around town. If I were to drive into the CBD with my mother for a couple of weeks and point out the parking spots, I'm certain her belief would change. There's a passage that reads: "You must believe it before you see it." Regrettably, for most people the reverse holds true and this holds us back in areas of our life. Can you see how your beliefs decide what you experience?

Sadly, many people go to their deathbed having lived a less than optimal life and call it fate or destiny. We have far more choices about our life than we recognise. Therefore, we must be mindful whether we are choosing from a place of fear or a place of love. If our beliefs are flawed, we will choose accordingly and call it fate since we don't know better. A well known example is seen in dating where many people hold a limiting belief along the lines of: "There are no good men or women to date" or "All the good ones are taken." Have you heard these beliefs amongst your friends or perhaps even yourself? In this instance we are perpetuating a limiting belief based on fear. However, if we buy into this narrative, it will prevent us from taking action to be in a loving relationship. We might avoid putting ourselves out there or build a wall to protect us. Therefore, our belief becomes a double-edge sword where it keeps us safe, yet it prevents us living a richer life. It might be better to create a belief such as, "I am open to being in a relationship with a suitable person at the right time." We must upgrade our beliefs and challenge them until our life circumstances change. Is this something you're willing to do? Are you prepared to step out of your comfort zone and challenge long-held beliefs that might be holding you back?

A practice I have used for years involves writing in my weekly journal any limiting beliefs that I feel are holding me back. I challenge the belief and look for evidence where it appears in my life. I then create new beliefs and affirmations to support the shift in awareness. We must change our thought landscape if we wish to change our model of reality. If we don't do the work, we are likely to call it fate or destiny and lament our missed choices. After all, as the great Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung knew well: "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."

5 Strategies to Change Negative Beliefs About Your Job or Career

For some people a job is something to get through to pay the bills, or what is referred as a necessary evil. For others, it is a vocation, a calling, or something that gives a sense of purpose to each day of the week. It may take a lifetime to find the right job or career, and it is often the product of developing the necessary skills, acquiring specific knowledge, being dedicated to the company, demonstrating a sense of commitment, and for some, perhaps there is good luck involved, or being at the right place at the right time.

While there are many reasons why a person can succeed or fail in finding a good job or career, there is another factor that can have a significant influence on how a career evolves, and that is the beliefs a person holds about their abilities and capabilities. All it takes is one persistent negative belief, held and maintained for an extended period of time, when someone begins to question their ability to perform well, they sell their talents short, or allow the derogatory self-talk to continue, and this will manifest further in lost opportunities and progress.

It is understandable there are certain circumstances on the job which can create a negative frame of mind that eventually interrupts the best of intentions. But when a negative disposition is allowed to continue and left unchecked, especially when it is related to a person's self-view, eventually there will be a critical breaking point when something has to give or be changed. If the self-beliefs aren't called into question, most likely it will be the job that will suffer.

A negative belief is the most toxic of all beliefs due to the potential damage it can cause to a person's well-being and overall career potential, and it is also the most challenging to change until there is a conscious effort made to question and change it. Self-beliefs also require more than affirmations to bring about change. There may be other strategies needed to bring about a positive frame of mind, in order to help find a new way of viewing the best within a person.

Do You Know How You Develop Your Beliefs?

Early Development: Your beliefs began early in your life and what you believe, along with what you were been taught to believe, shaped your worldview and the lens through which you observe life and understand events. Each belief is established through a pattern of thinking, behaving, and reacting to your external environment. You were possibly influenced to believe certain ideas about the world and life by your parents, religious institutions, and even the school you attended.

Later Development: The beliefs that are developed and held about your job skills, along with the ability to learn and adapt to a work environment, are also formed early in your career as a product of the results perceived from the attempts made to complete required job tasks. As you make attempts to perform tasks, you develop beliefs about yourself, along with your capability and capacity to perform those tasks. Later as you acquire knowledge and skills, you may change or alter those beliefs.

Your beliefs are practiced patterns of thoughts and it is natural to use outcomes and situations as evidence to support maintaining those beliefs. It is not a natural process to question the long held beliefs that have become deeply engrained thought processes, until those beliefs are challenged for some conscious reason.

Can You Just Eliminate Negative Beliefs?

What you'll find among many motivational articles is the idea of becoming and remaining happy no matter what the circumstances may be, and maintaining this positive disposition at all times. This type of mindset is not realistic for most people to sustain for long given the nature of many jobs, the demands of a busy workday, or the need to balance numerous responsibilities throughout the week.

It is also not possible to maintain a happy-go-lucky state each day, ignoring situations you are involved in at work. However, it is possible for you to prevent challenging circumstances that come up from derailing the positive beliefs you have already developed. What is helpful is to recognize when negative emotions are experienced, so you can address those emotions head-on, rather than ignore those emotions and pretend all is well.

How Do You Address Being Fearful?

Feeling anything described as fearful can almost stop a person in their tracks. Becoming afraid occurs when there is a situation a person believes they are not equipped or skilled to address, when the rewards associated with a risk do not seem worthwhile, or taking a chance and performing a new skill or task seems too difficult. For some people it creates a fight or flight feeling that can take a physical or mental toll.

This can change or negate positive beliefs held and create negativity, especially for people who remember challenges rather than their accomplishments. Fearful self-talk usually starts with something like "I cannot do... ", "I'm afraid to try... ", "I'm not sure I know how to... ", "I'm not certain I can learn... " or similar statements. It is a fear of the unknown which can create doubt and anxiety, whether the statements made are based upon a valid or invalid premise. The more fear is accepted as real and uncontrollable, the more the positive beliefs are minimized.

5 Strategies to Change Negative Beliefs About Your Job or Career

Now is the time to evaluate the dominate thoughts you are thinking about your job or career abilities.

What do you believe about your ability to perform the required tasks for your job?

What do you believe about your future capability in your present career?

Pay attention to the words you use and how you describe yourself.

If you find you have negative beliefs you can use the following strategies to challenge and replace those beliefs.

#1. Decide You Are Your Number One Supporter: There is an expression people often use to describe how they view their life and it is about being their own worst critic. This is a common perspective when self-worth is measured according to goals being met or not met, especially when labelled as personal or professional failures.

To become your number one supporter, begin to focus on your accomplishments no matter how minor they may seem to you. What this does is to establish a much needed pattern of thought that can lead to the development of a positive self-belief.

#2. Start by Developing One New Belief Now: What this strategy involves is more than making a positive affirmation. You can begin the development of a new belief statement with something simple, such as "I believe that... ", and add a positive perspective about a skill you have that is related to your job.

For example, "I believe that I am efficient at... and I have demonstrated an ability to... " and fill in the blanks with something related to your job. This helps create a positive disposition and will reaffirm your capabilities and capacity.

#3. Allow Yourself to Make Mistakes: It is highly unlikely you can work through an entire career without making what anyone would perceive as a mistake of some kind. That is the nature of learning about yourself and what you are capable of doing.

What is challenging when looking back, at what has been perceived as a mistake, is whether or not a person remains stuck in the past and allows it to deter future progress. If it is framed from a perspective of failure that can create negative self-talk and lead to a belief that you cannot move past it. If you can acknowledge what has happened without blame, and determine what can be learned from it, you will change your point of view.

#4. Allow Yourself to Feel and Address Your Emotions: Are you familiar with emotional intelligence? At the heart of emotional intelligence is an awareness of how we feel and respond as a result of those feelings. Every day on the job it is possible to experience many feelings and some of those feelings may also cause an intense emotional reaction. What you don't what to do is pretend those emotions do not exist. You must feel and address them.

The good feelings can motivate better performance and the uncomfortable feelings can produce a negative emotion that may result in a reactive response. Negative emotions can build up over time and that is why those emotions must be addressed, otherwise it is possible for positive self-beliefs to be overshadowed. When you feel the negative emotions, pay attention to what you are feeling and work through it. The goal is to come through it and retain your positive self-belief. Ask yourself: What do I need in order to address this situation in a manner that will result in a positive outcome?

#5. Pay Attention to What You Are Thinking: You have unlimited thoughts going through your mind every day. Thinking is a natural process and throughout the workday there are many thoughts that likely involve job performance to some degree.

The key to creating positive self-beliefs is to include statements into your daily self-talk that supports your progress. Here are some statements that you can use: "I am making progress... ", "I am learning... ", or "I am doing my best... " - to serve as a reminder of your positive qualities. This helps you to look for the best in yourself and your performance, which in turn will influence what you believe about yourself.

Today is a New Day: What Are You Going to Believe?

Would you like to feel better about yourself today, and then again tomorrow? You can when you become intentional with your thoughts. An intentional thinker means you pay attention to what you think, you are not allowing circumstances and situations to change the positive beliefs you hold about yourself, and you are controlling the emotions you feel. The process of changing or replacing negative beliefs, especially those related to your professional capacity, takes time and it is in your best interest to do so, as your ongoing career development depends upon it.

The longer a person sustains negative beliefs the more challenging it becomes to feel hopeful about the future, which can create apprehension and fear. In contrast, the ability to believe in the best of yourself leads to the greater likelihood of success on the job and long-term progress in the development of a career. If you can believe in your ability to do well, along with your capacity to learn and acquire new skills, this supportive belief system will bolster how you perform and how you feel about yourself as your work. You will develop a newfound sense of perseverance, determination, and internal strength that will sustain your career.

Yes You Become What You Think About

Indeed, you become what you think about. The human mind is the last great unexplored continent on earth. It contains untapped riches beyond your wildest dreams. And it returns anything you want to plant. But this brainpower is often unused because people take it for granted. Yet it is a free gift!

Why do so many of us often forget the free ability of our mind? How can you discover its concealed riches? And why your day-to-day thoughts are so important?

Well, let me explain why you become what you think about. Throughout history, the great wise men and teachers, philosophers and prophets have disagreed with one another on many different things. But it is only on one point that they are in unanimous and complete agreement.

They all agree that your thoughts make you. Therefore, you have to be mindful and burn into your nervous system the following belief because it is a fundamental truth of the human condition. It is literally the baseline physics of what it means to be a person.

"We become what we think about." - Earl Nightingale

Think About It

And that is an idea that you have to hold firmly in your mind. It is something that you really have to internalize. Stop right now your reading, or whatever you are doing on the side, and realize that you will become what you think about.

So, really think about that for a second as if it was not just a phrase, nor only words. But consider it as if it was the truth about how your brain works because it is. You are going to become the things that you think about.

If you truly are passionate and obsess about a certain result, you will certainly achieve it. But if, on the other hand, you do not care enough or are unsure, it won't happen. So, if you wish to be rich or anything else you want, you can be. But you must then really wish these things and want them exclusively.

Believing to Become

And you must not wish at the same time a dozen of other incompatible things just as strongly. Do you get what I am saying here? If you think about and want one thing but contradict yourself with some other stuff, it will not work. That is why some people realize their desire and others do not.

The great law, or law of attraction, briefly and simply states that if you think subconsciously in negative terms, you get negative results, even if what you want is positive things. But if you think in positive terms, you will achieve positive results. Yet, all of this takes time and consistency through your thoughts, actions, feelings, and beliefs.

In a few words: to succeed, you have to believe with all your being. It has to be undeniable and not, one day, have doubts and the next, not have them. If each day that passes, your thoughts and feelings swing just like a roller coaster ride, unsure of yourself; it will create a contradiction in your subconscious mind. And you always become what you think about!

The Power of your Mind

"Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we often might win by fearing to attempt." - William Shakespeare

Maybe, you are often dwelling on a lot of negative things. You might even carry a lot of baggage with you. As things might go wrong, you believe to the core of your being that you are just planning for the hard times. But the truth is that you are going to become those things that you fear and dread.

People always blame their circumstances for what they are. But you must not believe in such conditions. The people who succeed in this world are the ones who get up and look for the situations they want. And if they cannot find them, they create them in one way or another.

Well, it is then pretty apparent that your mind holds great power. And every person who discovered this and believed it became successful. So, no matter which way you put it, you become what you think about.

Think About Your Goal

Now, it stands to reason that if you are undoubtedly thinking about a concrete and worthwhile goal, you are going to reach it. The reason is that it is what you think about with an obsession beyond measure becomes real. The individual that spends all his time being passionate about something will surely succeed rather than the one who spends an average time on it.

And if you think about all the things you have done wrong in the past, you are going to simply continue that cycle. But if on the other hand and let this be true by letting it ring in your ears. If I ever added an ounce of value to you, believe then that these are the most important words I am ever going to say:

If you begin to focus your thoughts on positive things, on your capabilities, on the potential that you have if you really dig in, you can make it. Build those skills. Visualize your success. Strive towards something beautiful, amazing, that leaves in awe, which you want to create, and want to be the vessel for.

Become What You Think About

In that way, you become that thing because you will take those steps, just because it is what you think about. Conversely, the person who puts very little enthusiasm in his goal, or has no objective, or does not know where he is going, and whose thoughts must, therefore, be thoughts of confusion, anxiety, fear and worry become what he thinks about.

So, his life becomes one of frustration, stress, distress, and worry. And if a person thinks about nothing, he becomes nothing. It is simple as that! Now you might say: "Well, if that is true, why people do not use their mind more often?" I believe they often figure out an answer by making excuses.

"20 years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did." - Mark Twain

The Paradox of Free Gift

Your mind comes as standard equipment at birth. There is no price to pay as it is a free gift. And so, these things which are given to you for nothing, you very often place little value on. On the other hand, things that you pay money for, like your phone, you value.

The paradox is that exactly the reverse is true. Think about it! Everything that is really worthwhile in life came to you free. Your mind, soul, body, hopes, dreams, ambitions, intelligence, family, children, friends, country, and nature are priceless possessions which are free.

As for the things that cost you money, they are actually very cheap in comparison. They can be replaced at any time. A good person can be completely wiped out and make another fortune. It can be done several times. Even if a home burns down, you can rebuild it.

But the things you got for nothing, you can never replace. And as the saying goes: "Familiarity breeds contempt." So, your thoughts determine your existence and any kind of job you assign to it. But generally speaking, most people use their mind for little jobs instead of big important ones.

Picture What You Want to Become

And so, if you do not take the necessary steps, focus on the required things, manifest what you want to become or believe in it, nothing will happen. And if you cannot see how real it could be, if you cannot picture the version of yourself that you want to become, it will not take place.

And yes, people told you that it is not possible for you, that the things that you did in the past are never going to allow you to succeed. They even said that you are not smart enough. But if you let that creep into your mind, that is what is going to happen.

However, if you can think about it, see that vision of success, allow yourself to believe it, and take the steps you need to execute against struggle, and if you go out there and do those things, you will not regret it. But you will regret it if you do not.

So, decide now. Think about what you want to achieve. Plant your goal in your mind. It is the most important decision you will ever make in your entire life since you become what you think about. Get out right now, and build the person you want to be, so you can have the life you want to have.

Speak Your Truth When It Scares You Because It Is The One True Measure Of Your Authenticity

Why bother speaking the truth in a world full of fake news? Because truth is the only measure of our authenticity expressed through our soul. To deny expressing it means hiding our authentic self behind a veil of falsehoods. Reflect on the times when you spoke your truth even if it hurt those you love. How did you feel? Did you notice a weight lifted off your shoulder, especially if you held back communicating something of importance? I have been in this situation many times where I thought speaking my truth would fall on deaf ears. I believed they would not receive it in the way I intended and so I held back.

Sometimes people are not ready to hear the truth and, although they listen, they're only hearing what they want to hear. Do you get this impression? It can be difficult because your truth and my truth differs, and this causes conflict between two people, even amongst family members. I often laugh when someone begins a sentence by saying: "Do you want to know the truth?" What I'm really hearing is: "I'm about to tell you something which you'll disagree with but here it is anyway." The truth is subjective to our life's experience, beliefs, values and opinions. It is why I am drawn to the passage by the author of Toltec wisdom Don Miguel Ruiz who writes in The Three Questions: How to Discover and Master the Power Within You of the enduring nature of the truth in our lives: "Life is truth, and it doesn't need to be understood. Truth doesn't need proof, or even faith, to survive. And it doesn't need our stories. Truth existed before stories before humanity; and truth will continue after all the storytellers are gone. We don't need a thought or a theory to show us the truth. Truth can be felt in our loving and in our enduring passion to live."

We mustn't withhold speaking our truth for fear it will upset others. If the truth is spoken from the heart and not the egoic mind, hopefully the other person will consider it with an open mind and heart. In an age of fake news, the truth is more important than ever. More people need to speak their truth from the heart for that is how we practice authentic communication. The heart is the seat of the soul and if aligned with our highest intent, it becomes a measure of connecting through a soulful presence. Is this something you're willing to practice? Even though your voice will tremble when you speak the truth, it will be worth it coming from the heart. I have experienced holding back speaking my truth in front of audiences due to limiting thoughts: "How will people receive what I have to say?" "What if I disappoint them?" Nevertheless, I've come to appreciate how others receive me is not within my control. I can only communicate from my heart and remove any sense of fear, anger or hate and allow my words to come forth with love.

Our truth is the language of the soul and carries strength in its meaning and significance. I'm reminded of the biblical phrase: "The truth will set you free" which underscores how withholding our truth can destroy us. Communicating from the heart will lead to our greatest salvation and the freedom that accompanies it. As you read this, reflect on a situation now calling you to speak from the heart yet you may be afraid to do so. I trust by the end of the article you will have gained a sense of what action you need to take. I hope you choose your words wisely and listen to the whisper of your heart speaking in the song of love, not anger, nor hate or fear.

If we communicate through weakening emotions, we must turn our attention to ourselves to see where we are at war with. What part of us is calling to be nurtured? Because that is the part we most need to love. In doing so, the words we bring forth will arise from a place of spirited love and we needn't worry whether speaking our truth will offend others. For when two people come together in this spirit of love, the language communicated is easily understood by their hearts without an agenda.

How Come The Law Of Attraction Isn't Working?

The law of attraction is the idea that thoughts become things over a very long period of time. First they become ideas and then they become beliefs. Actions are based on beliefs usually and our actions drive our lives and the outcomes in our lives.

So, just by thinking about what you want to create in life, you can bring it about right? The trouble is, we give some thought to what we want, and then forget about it and go about our daily lives.

Before long, we slip back into our daily habits and normal way of thinking and nothing much changes. We still do the same things, talk about the same stuff and nothing changes. But how come? I watched The Secret and did some visualising?

If you want something major to happen in life, you need to take some major steps to bring them about. Things don't magically change overnight just because you want them to. You need to be a part of the process, not just sit back and let life happen to you.

So how can we effectively apply the law of attraction in our own lives? Why does the law of attraction fail?

The law of attraction doesn't work for many people because they have too high an expectation of what they can achieve, or too low an expectation of what is required to make it happen. Unless you're willing to put the work in when the answers arrive, you'll pretty much get what you have now.

Habits rule our lives not dreams. You need a concrete target to hit if you want to achieve something. Wishful thinking and daydreaming are good ways to get creative about what you want to achieve, but they are still in the realm of the invisible unless you make them tangible and attach them to a tangible goal and direction.

Then you need to take some positive action and work towards achieving your goal. The bigger your goal the longer the time period you'll need to attain it. If your goal is to make a cup of coffee and have a biscuit, you can achieve it within a few minutes, if you have those things in your cupboard!

If you want financial freedom, consider this a long-term goal which may take years of your life to achieve. Both are possible goals but both will require very different action steps and timelines to achieve.

Why else do people fail with the law of attraction? The material in the film The Secret gave an overview to the law of attraction. At face value, it's easy to take this information and assume a daydream can become a reality, if you wanted it enough. But that's not the full story.

Daydreaming and visualising can help implant an idea in the subconscious mind. But it takes a lot of doing this over a long period of time to start generating results from it. You could meet someone or create an event which gives you an idea for an action plan.

But if you're unclear on your action plan, it's easy to give up and assume that the law of attraction is just not true. But by assuming this, you already lose the power to be a conscious creator of your own reality.

More likely than not, you'll have a bunch of assumptions, blame stories and victim mentalities floating around in your mind which stop you from taking action on any number of directions.

People who are attracted to the idea of the law of attraction can also be those who are unsure of their own direction in life too. Perhaps you want others to tell you what to do, or you're not used to carving your own path. These personality traits can show themselves up in a number of ways and block your ability to create a life of your own choosing.

So, if you're struggling with the law of attraction, don't assume it doesn't work. Look closer into your choices. Perhaps you're a passenger on the 'bus' of life, letting others lead and take control. Maybe you're wanting to take more control for yourself and are tired of taking a back seat?

Whatever the reason, a good first step is to read the original books on which Rhonda Byrne's The Secret is based. Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill, The Science Of Getting Rich Wallace Wattles and Working With The Law - Raymond Holliwell are good books to start with.

Get clear on your direction first too before writing off the law of attraction. How can the genie of the universe bring about your biggest dreams if you don't have a clear idea of what they are? Think about what you want often. Give yourself time to visualise a future which you would really love to live. How does it look in terms of daily living, romance and career? Where will you live and what will you do on a daily basis.

Don't base your fantasy on what you currently believe is possible either. If you only daydream and fantasize about what you currently believe is possible, forward growth and future progression is stunted to include only the version of you which exists now.

Get creative and daydream your best fantasy. Don't worry about the 'hows', just focus on the things you really want to happen and create the feelings and images in your mind of living them. Do this on a regular basis and you'll soon start to see possible routes to create your best future according to your fantasy.

Most people stunt their fantasies and cut off themselves from what is possible. They worry about being realistic, not about living the life of their dreams. Because of this, they don't take time to imagine how they would really like to live. This limits their potential and stops them taking action steps in the present to move into their future selves.

The Science Of Deliberate Creation

The science of deliberate creation is about becoming more conscious. By becoming aware of your own preconceived ideas, beliefs and attitudes, you can see what is possible, and what isn't.

Nothing is possible without belief. Without belief in an idea, you won't take action and nothing can be achieved. But most people put the brakes on their own lives because their belief doesn't allow the possibility of great things.

People can live great lives only if they believe they can. Otherwise, you wouldn't attempt to improve things. Why bother if you don't think you can do it?

This is the beginning of the science of deliberate creation and it starts with your thinking. Thoughts are perhaps the smallest parts of your creation process. But like a drip of water in a cave, large formations can form over time.

Stalactites and stalagmites are large formations in a cave which form because of the drippings of water depositing material over a long period of time. I like to think these are like your beliefs and ideas forming in the mind over long periods of thinking in a certain way.

By taking control over the thoughts which you allow to remain in the conscious mind, you can influence your subconscious mind. This in turn is capable of creating beliefs and attitudes and attracting circumstances and events into your life.

The subconscious mind is much more powerful than the conscious mind and the thoughts can be considered the 'seeds' of the subconscious belief system.

If you've ever worked really hard at something only to self-sabotage it later on, this is an example of the subconscious mind working against your conscious wishes. This can be for many reasons but often it's because your conscious and subconscious are not working together as a "team".

Other considerations of the science of conscious creation are your words, visualisations and plans for the future. Becoming more conscious of your thoughts, words and actions is a good place to start. Many people self sabotage their best intentions with their words, proclaiming that they are "not good enough", "don't deserve something" or are not up to the job. Unless you can consolidate what you want to attain, with how to get it and align the two with your self-image, you'll find ways to un-do your work.

This is often just the sub-conscious mind delivering what you intended anyway. Perhaps you didn't realise it, but you were sending contrary intentions to your subconscious mind in the form of words, thoughts or intentions.

Your self-image has a large part to play in conscious creation. Unless you see yourself as someone worthy of success and happiness, you'll keep hitting a brick wall and falling back to your previous view of yourself and model of the world.

The old self-image keeps us safe inside our comfort zone. That's the positive pay-off. But there's a lot of downside to maintaining a consistent view of the world and how we fit into it.

If we doggedly stick to our preconceived ideas in all circumstances, it can eventually bite us on the ass! Particularly if we don't grow and change as our circumstances and needs change.

Becoming more conscious of our thoughts starts by being aware enough to know that we are not our thoughts. The thoughts we think can easily overtake our idea of ourselves. If we start to see ourselves as the thoughts themselves, we lose control by identifying with the thoughts as "us".

One way to detach from our thinking processes is through meditation. Anyone can learn to meditate simply by sitting still and quietly watching their thoughts come and go without attachment. The more you practice, the more you will experience the gap between the thoughts and be able to choose your thoughts more consciously.

Being aware of what you say is the next thing to take control of. Much of people's speech in general runs on complete autopilot. When we become conscious, we can align our speaking with our thinking. We can become more conscious of the power of our words to carve out our world.

Visualisation is another tool for the conscious creator to use in 'sculpting' their lives more consciously. We've all experienced a daydream. A daydream is a nice relaxing fantasy where we can let our mind wander and think about a nice situation or circumstance of our choosing.

But in our busy and stressful lives, we can start creating arguments and conflicts with our visualisations inadvertently. By trying to control our circumstances we can often focus on trying to push against problems and adversity rather than focusing on joy, happiness and contentment. When we try too hard to push things away by struggling with them, we are focusing on the very things we don't want.

The more attention we give them, the more they seem to wrap themselves around our lives. What you focus on grows in your life. Noticing this is the first step to becoming a more conscious creator. Then you can stop focusing on those things which you don't want, and turn your attention to more positive things, circumstances and situations.

What to Do When Overwhelmed by Your Reality?

At times, life feels like an overwhelming affair. There's too much to do, too much to think, too much to worry about. What can we do to fight that feeling?

Sometimes life seems to be too much to bear. Some people feel overwhelmed by the constant rush and the many things to do. Others just can't stand the incessant murmur of their never-ending thoughts. Some, still, can't cope with their feelings of inadequacy or insecurity. They all try different solutions, among which maybe meditation or mindfulness could be tested, but that is often just not enough to counteract the feeling.

Let us go over some of the causes of such feelings, first, to then study some possible tools and solutions.

  • Too many things to do: most of us have grown up in societies in which competition and success are paramount and the true measure of our value. As a consequence, we feel obliged to constantly aim at greater, higher goals. Being good is never enough, as excellence and supremacy are the only acceptable levels. This type of belief, inherited from our environment, pushes us to constantly seek more, do more, expect more of ourselves. There's a whole world to impress in front of us and that demands that we devote most of our time to doing things that will get us closer to our goal and that any free time we happen to find, we also use pursuing our constant improvement.
  • Too many thoughts: rumination starts in most human beings as a form of daydreaming. Already in childhood, some people devote quite a lot of their time to letting themselves get lost in their thoughts while disconnecting from reality. What soon becomes a habit is almost invariably paired with negative projections of that future, as we learn to worry about what may be or what may happen. Very few people ruminate about positive, happy things; most do about negative, worrisome or painful ones. Constant thinking about negative aspects quickly becomes a way of life and those who embark on it find it difficult to change the pattern. Any form of rumination, be it focused on the past or the future, yields certain chemicals and sensations that our brain soon becomes addicted to. Not having them can cause withdrawal-like symptoms and result in a permanent need to recreate them. Thus, the rumination continues, grows and becomes never-ending.
  • Living in the past: when human beings ruminate, they usually do so focused on two different scenarios, and only those two: the past or the future. When in the past, they are trying to make sense of something that happened that still makes them feel guilty, sad or hurt. Not being able to change whatever happened then often overwhelms them and makes them feel powerless.
  • Living in the future: when in the future, people are trying to ready themselves to face something that scares them, constantly asking themselves, 'what if... ?' The more time they spend in those scenarios, the more often they need to return. People who spend so long in the future in their minds become overwhelmed by the wide range of possible difficulties and hurdles they may encounter and by the growing belief in their failure to succeed.
  • Feeling inadequate or insecure: many people suffer from low self-esteem or insecurities which are the result of weak beliefs and convictions. When a person holds strong beliefs, there is no insecurity. It comes from uncertainty and doubt. Those who feel like they're not good enough or insufficient, tend to find it hard to cope with their circumstances and the reality around them, not because it is posing them too many challenges but because they think they are not capable or strong enough. Everything becomes complicated and one problem piles on top of the next until people feel completely overwhelmed.
So, what can be done?
  • First of all, take a deep breath. Nothing will change if you can't stop for a second and focus on the task at hand. The more unfocused you are, the harder it will get. This applies to all the possible causes mentioned above: the more you worry, the more anxious you get and the less energy you then have to really face up to your problems. By the time you need to overcome them, you are exhausted.
  • Second, focus on the HERE and the NOW. The more time you spend either in the past or in the future...

  1. the less time you have to focus on the problem at hand;
  2. the less energy you have when you finally decide to tackle the situation in front of you;
  3. the less aware you are of the real circumstances around you and the less resources you are then able to perceive and find; and
  4. the less you learn for future, similar situations.

In order to be in the here and the now, you need to make the conscious effort to do so. You need to fight the habit that drives you away into the past or the future. A good tool to use is any form of mindfulness:

  1. focusing on one object around you and assessing it using your 5 senses: smell, touch, taste, hearing and sight;
  2. focusing on feeling your ten toes without actually moving them;
  3. engaging on any type of activity by totally submerging yourself in it through your 5 senses.

Another important tool to be used is drastically stopping whatever you are doing and doing just the opposite or something completely different. For instance, if you're sitting and you suddenly realize you're ruminating or getting carried away into your mind, stand up and start moving. Or, if you're walking, just sit down anywhere or start dancing. Changing our actions forces us to be in the here and the now.

Third, use the Kaizen technique. We often feel overwhelmed, as was already discussed above, when there's too much on our plate. We have important goals to reach and those feel unreachable. Kaizen implies reducing our goals to more manageable steps and taking those steps, one by one. So, if you for instance, need to exercise because the doctor told you to, running or cycling for one hour everyday might sound like an impossible task. Applying this Japanese technique, you would start by only doing it for 5 minutes the first day and celebrating achieving that little milestone. The second day you would do it for just 10 minutes, then celebrate it, and so on until reaching the desired 60 minutes. Celebrating the small steps is a fundamental part of the process because it helps us change our beliefs and boosts our self-esteem.

Fourth, identify and question the beliefs that make you doubt yourself. In order to do this, I usually recommend using a "self-talk diary," a notebook (or recording system) in which to note down any negative or critical self-talk we catch ourselves using. All those messages to ourselves hide our deepest beliefs. An example would be you telling yourself... 'I will never get the promotion because nobody likes me,' which is another way of telling yourself that you're not likeable or worthy. Identify all the labels you give yourself in order to understand why your self-esteem is so low. Those are the messages you keep on telling yourself. Are you surprised you feel insecure? Do this for at least a couple of weeks.

Once you identify your beliefs (through those labels and messages), ask yourself wether they empower you or limit you and if you wish to keep them. If you decide to let them go, you will need to find a replacement, as no belief can be simply erased. In order to find a replacement, look for a message that cancels the previous one and start repeating it to yourself. There is one important rule here: the new message can not be the opposite of the previous one, because your brain will just not believe it. It needs to be one that partially cancels it, opening a new avenue for you. Using the same example as before, you might have been telling yourself that you're not likeable. Your new message could be something like, "some people like me," or "I sometimes like myself," or even, "there's a lot in me to be liked." Once you repeat it often enough, you might start feeling it come true. At that moment, celebrate the feeling. The more you do this, the easier it will be for you to start accepting the new belief and replacing the old one. Warning: question and change only one belief at a time and don't start on a second one until having worked on the first one for at least two weeks. Questioning too many beliefs simultaneously can lead to crises.

Fifth, use tool number 4 to also question yourself about your beliefs regarding competition and success. What do you believe about them? What are your expectations? What messages do you give yourself? Do they empower or limit you? Do you want to keep them?

Are You A Self-Doubter?

While working with a client I had an epiphany about the depth and breadth of self-doubt versus trust and faith.

Some people trust themselves implicitly and conversely some people have self-doubt or second-guess themselves. Respectively, those who trust themselves implicitly might have difficulty trusting the Laws of the Universe. And those who doubt themselves sometimes can seemingly have implicit trust in the Laws of the Universe.

I used the word, 'seemingly,' because there is a disclaimer clause for those who believe in implicit trust of the Laws of the Universe or trusting themselves implicitly. Some people have full trust and faith in themselves and the Laws of the Universe.

The disclaimer in the fine print is quite explicit. When one doubts oneself, one also has hidden doubts about the Laws of the Universe. Maybe, just maybe the Laws of the Universe don't work 100%; 100% of the time.

Those who have implicit trust and faith in themselves, sometimes lack complete trust and faith in the Laws of the Universe. Thus, those who have complete trust in themselves carry some hidden self-doubt.

The Laws of the Universe are all inter-related and are grounded on the understanding that everything in the universe is energy, including humans, and that energy moves in a circular fashion. At the microscopic level, humans are a whirling mass of electrons and energy atoms spinning rapidly. In fact, everything in the world is composed of energy and humans are intimately connected with this sea of energy, the sea of whirling electrons.

The reason this is true is that our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, words and actions are all forms of energy What we believe, think, feel, say and do in each moment comes back to us to create our reality. Energy moves in a circle, so that what goes around comes around--a.k.a. Dharma and Karma.

When one doubts oneself, one has some hidden doubt with the Laws of the Universe, because one is part of the Laws of the Universe. Therefore, although one believes one is in complete trust and faith with the Laws of the Universe, one is blind to one's intimate slice of the energy that comprise the Laws of the Universe. Conversely, if one has complete trust in oneself, but, not in the Laws of the Universe, one is blind to one's intimate slice of the energy that one needs to be connected with in order to be in the flow with the Universal energy.

The exciting news is, because our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, words and actions create the world around us, we have the power to create a world of complete self-confidence and oneness with the Laws of the Universe. Thus, we can create peace, harmony and abundance. In order to do this, it is essential that we learn to be fully conscious of our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, words and actions.

That followed with this: When I doubt myself, I have some hidden doubt with the Universe, because I am part of the Universe. Thus, the same applies to you. Because you have difficulty with Trust and Faith in the Universe you also have some self-doubt.

My conscious thoughts: We [you and I] have been in many life times together. We both came into this life to complete our respective missions. Me to learn to stop doubting myself and you to have Trust and Faith in the Universe. Who better to mirror these aspects of ourselves to each other than YOU to ME and ME to YOU?

And do you have the sense that Trust and Faith is the piece that is preventing you from creating your desires-financial freedom, happiness, success, and dreams?
