Success - "Ignore Everything"

Without sounding egotistical, one of the "core" tricks to massive success I have found is to "ignore everything else". What does this mean and why it is important?

Success is a huge word, and can mean anything from recovering from a terminal disease to being able to walk again after a horrific crash. Most people attribute it to the accumulation of wealth, which is fine.

The point is that if you want to be "successful", the BIGGEST problem will likely be *you*. You'll either talk your way out of actually stepping up and doing - what ends up being quite mundane / simple - things.

Becoming "successful" basically means being able to follow through on a specific goal no matter what else might be distracting you. Everyone has distractions - from your kids to bills. The best people are absolutely and completely focused on the fulfilment of the various goals they may have.

These "goals" differ - but the process remains the same. They are absolutely committed to their fulfilment. The level at which you're able to do this typically determines the level of success you'll be able to achieve in the wider world.

Take "making money" - what most people would attribute to "success".

The earning of money doesn't differ between people. You exchange a service for a token of value - which in our society is money. The money you earn - or at least what other people attribute to you - is based primarily on the level of service you provide. Effective services typically equal higher paying buyers.

If you're looking to embark on a journey of successful money-making, you basically need to identify your ability to create an effective service. This can be anything. But - most importantly - you need to stick to that level of service no matter what.

This BIGGEST MISTAKE people make (and I've made it countless times) is to become distracted - either by shiny objects, other people... or the voice that lives in your head. The latter option here (the voice) is actually the biggest reason why most people never really do very much; they give in too easily.

If you wish to overcome your current standing in life - the big thing you need to do is to essentially "train" yourself to focus on one goal at a time, and pursue it with all vigor. Those who do this actually end up being successful in other areas of life, too.

The trick to doing this is actually quite simple - create a "reward" system which gives you little bits of respite in the pursuit of the goal.

For example, say you're looking to "start an online business" - and say you're looking to create $100,000 turnover in the first year (which won't happen)... the "reward system" you create needs to be tied to you building a simple mechanism through which you're able to sequentially work your way up to the $100,000.

To do it, you'd basically break the goal down into "two" parts - "long term" and "short term" revenue projects.

  • Short term revenue is basically where you'll go out and look for paying work - either online or offline. There are many "freelancing" websites such as Fiverr and Upwork which can do this. You'll use this as your "food money" budget - allowing you to create services or provide value in order to feed and house yourself.
  • Long term revenue is somewhat different, and where most people become disjointed. Creating $100,000 income is not really that difficult if you appreciate what goes into doing it. However, the issue for most is they will try and pursue it immediately. This doesn't work; you need to invest into more rigid products & projects in order to bring in that sort of money consistently.

To get to the $100,000 revenue target, you will need to essentially feed your momentum with many smaller goals - short term revenue - which you can then use to fuel the higher level projects that can be used to create the $100k income.

You'll note that ALL of this is absent of "competition" and "market conditions" - it's entirely based on YOUR output. Quality output towards your goal equals success. This is what you have to do - blind yourself to the various "problems" which may stand in your imagination - but not real life.

Achieving Happiness in the Face of Misfortune

In the words of Dr. Robert Ford, played by Anthony Hopkins from the up and coming American thriller series, 'Westworld', we hear Ford give an accurate explanation for humanity: "Evolution forged the entirety of sentient life on this planet using only one tool, the mistake". No one is born perfect, we all come into this world with different sets of skills, some make use of those skills and some don't. Some of us were gifted with good health, others not. Some of us must navigate severe learning disabilities, and others not. At the end of the day, happiness is something that can be achieved by anyone as long as we embrace authenticity.

Life is a struggle; it is filled with extreme highs and incredible lows, but the sum total of these emotions defines the state of our happiness. As I've come to understand over the course of my lifetime, it is hard to accept who we are sometimes. It is hard to accept the level of our intelligence; it is hard to acknowledge that we may suffer from severely impairing learning disabilities, hard to accept the fact that we may struggle with depression or anxiety. Yet how are we supposed to find joy in life when everything seems to be going against us? We only get once chance at life, and yes some of us are more fortunate than others in this regard, but for those who aren't as fortunate? Embrace who you are. Everyone serves a purpose; find your purpose.

Joy and happiness comes from the small victories in life. As I've also come to understand, everything takes time. We didn't get to where we are in a split second, although for some that may be the case. For most of us, success and fulfillment comes with time and appreciation. It is difficult to speak for everyone as we all come from a different set of circumstances and we all experience life a different way. But for those who struggle to see the meaning in life and for those who are stuck in the throes of despair, we simply cannot abandon life as we know it. The first step comes with acknowledgment, because wishing you were someone else will take you nowhere. It will do nothing for you, and it will simply break down your already low sense of self-esteem.

The moment we are born on this earth, we are given the unique opportunity to make something of our lives. It is easy to give up, but with hard work and the mentality of acceptance, we can make big strides in life. We can become who we never thought we'd become. In the words of Thucydides, the great Athenian historian and general: "The secret to happiness is freedom... and the secret to freedom is courage".

Subtraction Is Greater Than Addition ( By Alexandria Joy)

I just came out of a mentoring session with my mentor Linda Hutchings what a great reminder it was to take my own medicine and keep it clean by making things simple.

Perhaps like me you're a multi-passionate entrepreneur or leader who has 50 business ideas a day and struggles to decide which one to implement first. As I talked to Linda about some of my latest ideas of launching a new podcast, relaunching a group coaching program, beginning writing another book (I have two underway already), I began to hear the folly of my thoughts.

Yep that's right, I was eating my own vomit.

I'd just spent the morning supporting a CEO at a mining engineering company to reduce the friction in his business and find more flow. We've been looking at where he can strategically narrow his focus and do what is most important. And here I was stacking my plate full.

As the minimalist leader I teach others that:

Doing everything = frustration and friction

Doing few things well = flow and fulfilment

Linda kindly reminded me that we often teach what we need to practice.

Like anything in life and business everything can be improved by adding, or by subtracting. Typically adding is associated positively with enhancing something and subtracting is associated negatively with detracting from something.

The race is always for bigger, better, more. Do more, teach more, share more. We are told to keep adding - be on more committees, say yes to more experiences, strive for more money and definitely aim for more friends and likes. My kick in the pants reminder today is that more doesn't always deliver more, in fact all it often gives us less clarity and more stress.

I have a theory:

Business is pretty simple.

Humans make it complicated.

What if instead we started to focus more on subtracting?

We think the key to productivity is to find ways to get more done. We multitask, we attend productivity workshops and how to manage your email better webinars.

What if the real secret to optimum productivity is to do less while achieving more.

Here are four ideas for how you can implement this:

  1. Subtract Low Value Tasks - Linda and I worked through all the ideas I had one by one and identified which ones on my list which were the most commercially viable, would have the greatest impact in helping my clients and were in alignment with my big WHY and goals. It became pretty obvious, pretty quick which low value tasks didn't deserve my attention right now (sorry I won't be launching the Minimalist Leader podcast for a while).
  2. Subtract Distractions - simple really but how many of us can truly say that when we work on one task we remain focused on that task? Why not try my 45:15 batching rule? That is work solid on one thing for 45 minutes - turning off and eliminating all distractions such as email and social media alerts, move to a quiet space, wear noise cancelling headphones, leave your phone in your bag, remove all other folder and work from your desk until the 45 minutes of focused work is done. Then spend the next 15 allowing in all the distractions in, checking messages, making coffee, talking to colleagues etc.
  3. Subtract Head Over Body - too often in corporate world we are in our heads and not present in our body. In fact one of the smartest ways to get more done in less time is to batch your important tasks for when you're most alert and effective. Generally speaking our brain capacity and decision making ability is highest before lunch so batch the meatier work then. Leave meetings and other less critical items to the afternoon when your physiology is lower in energy.
  4. Subtract Heavy Tasks - review your list of tasks and consider are there any tasks that really weigh me down and drain me? As a practicing minimalist towing and living in a tiny house, every item I bring into my house has to be weighed up - literally. Whenever I see an item I want to buy or bring into my life I have to consider will this make my 4 tonne home too heavy? How heavy is each task you have on your list? Is it possible to delegate, dump or deal on any of the weighty ones? Maybe you can exchange an hour of work with someone who's pleasure is your poison? Which tasks that are more aligned with your strengths and talents? What 10 degree shift could you make to make each task lighter and more palatable?

The most successful people I know are focused, have boundaries against time vampires, say no to everything not in their top priorities and travel light in flow. If they add something to their life, their business, their commitments it's done so in a mindful, considered way. And they're always subtracting, reducing and eliminating things that no longer support them.

What are you prepared to let go of and subtract from your world?

Your Purpose Isn't To Meet Deadlines, It's To Find Fulfilment Through Purposeful Action (By Tony Fahkry)

An Inner Conviction To Help Others

Chances are you are reading this article on a mobile device or computer with multiple applications open?

In fact, you're probably thinking about the next thing on your to do list or contemplating a host of other things, without really being present.

We're all guilty of it. Gone are the days of being attentive to the task at hand since our minds have become saturated with stimuli. We believe if we're not attending to a million things at once, we're not productive.

And sure, we blame technology for our blind sidedness but remember, behind every technological device lies a user in control of it.

For this reason, I don't buy into the narrative that technology is to blame because we should be in control. When it becomes a weapon used against you, then it rules your life.

It's easy to be diverted from what is meaningful and be dragged into the rabbit hole of despair unable to find your way out.

You can be distracted by insignificant circumstances that vie for your attention if you don't place a high value on what is meaningful. Purposeful action arises with an intent and an inner conviction to serve others or contribute to the world.

Author Victor J Strecher states in Life on Purpose: How Living for What Matters Most Changes Everything that a strong purpose is tied to your understanding of the world: "A great purpose in life follows from values that reflect an understanding of the world."

You are guided to help the community or play a bigger role in the lives of others because your purpose aligns with your core values.

For example, if you are affected by workplace misconduct, your mission might be to raise the awareness of misbehaviour within the workplace. You are driven by personal experience to change the culture of inappropriate behaviour. Your mission is aligned with your values and intent to serve and ease the suffering of others.

Distracted From Your Purpose

I can identify with a mission that aligns with my values lost my father to an illness decades ago. I recall in the years that followed asking myself a simple question that led to where I am today: "Why do some people get sick while others are healthy?"

I have been on a journey of discovery spanning a decade, learning about why some people get sick while others thrive. I wrote a book on the subject and created a coaching program to support the book.

I learned many things along the way and helped countless individuals to heal and transform their lives, because they too were searching for answers.

"Purpose in life is concerned with what we most deeply value, and purposeful living is concerned with whether we're living for what matters most," explains Victor J. Strecher.

Fulfillment is found through purposeful action, not in meeting deadlines or having your head buried in your phone. These things distract you from your purpose and keep you entertained, neglecting what is important.

I'm yet to meet somebody other than an app developer or a person involved in the tech industry who is truly fulfilled spending hours a day on their mobile device.

I don't intend to berate technology, but highlight how much time is wasted in mindless tasks that prevent you from pursuing purposeful action. I realise many people are scared to death to pursue their purpose, let alone realise they have one.

Purpose and purposeful action can be borne out of the same intention that aligns with your core values. Stealing time on a mobile device serves no one other than the manufacturer of the device and the telephone company whose profits you bankroll.

Motivational author and speaker Brendon Burchard says in High Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way: "Often, the journey to greatness begins the moment our preferences for comfort and certainty are overruled by a greater purpose that requires challenge and contribution."

Step out of your comfort zone and discover an intention that moves you in the smallest way. People believe purposeful action is aligned with a greater intent to change the world. It might or might not be. There is only one way to find out; take the first step.

Imagine Your Best Future Self

I was watching Ice T being interviewed on Jimmy Fallon recently and was drawn to a phrase he lives by.

He said: "Don't Guide Life, Ride Life."

Whilst it is a simple axiom, it underscores the need to flow with the currents of life. They become disillusioned when it doesn't turn out as planned and suffer as a consequence.

"Don't Guide Life, Ride Life."

To Ride Life focus on purposeful action because when you find something that rocks your boat, every minute becomes purposeful, even if you are struggling at first. For every writer and artist scrapping by, being creative far outweighs working in a job they loathe.

"Without courage, the adventure to genius and greatness can never even begin," avows author Sean Patrick in Awakening Your Inner Genius.

I've coached many CEO's and senior executives over the years who say they regret not pursuing their passions or owning their own business. Instead they are paid to pursue the company's mission instead of focussing on their own. Yet, they are tied to this way of life in order to provide for their families and live a certain lifestyle.

Let me be clear, I do not condemn corporate culture in any way. These people are brave and courageous, yet some (not all) reach a point in their lives when regret sinks in.

I oppose putting your life on hold and not taking bold risks because of limiting beliefs or societal norms. These are trappings to have you conform and limit your potential.

Brendon Burchard says: "Be more intentional about who you want to become. Have vision beyond your current circumstances. Imagine your best future self, and start acting like that person today."

My passion of writing, speaking in front of audiences and coaching amazing people arose from one question following my father's passing. That question ignited a desire that took me on a quest and later became my calling. I often tell people I could never have dreamed this life into existence.

I recall speaking to year 10 students (equivalent to Freshman - High School in the US) late last year on how to discover their passion and purpose. A student stood up and asked how he could discover what he's good at. My reply: "Fail often, learn quickly and never give up."

The message from sports psychologist Stan Beecham captures the essence of life's narrative: "Being happy is not the purpose of your life. Being fully alive and awake is the purpose of your life. That includes the pain and struggle that is a critical and necessary component to human existence."

Keep trying until you have exhausted all avenues.

I assure you, whatever inspires you has been purposefully placed as the seed of potential within you, to serve the lives of others.

The Winning Thought!

Being self-actualized is more powerful than being enlightened. When you have reached the end, it does not end. So, you must get a new goal always, and you must continually take action achieving each new goal with a living psyche (life filled spirit) that does not take anything for granted forever. With that said, I begin this article. "The end" is really "The beginning" always when really thought about, because when you retire, you either get another goal or you die. When you reach the end, you stop forever and die or do more that is something different, it never ends. Indeed, the winning thought is not to retire or get enlightened and reach "the end", everything is really an open-ended process of eternity and infinity existence when really thought about.

You see, so many people act like life is an end to be reached then they retire after doing so much service and achieving a "big goal". Happiness and fulfillment does not work that way, and that is how real losers think in reality because of the realistic "what next" factor life automatically has because of its genuine nature.

Winning is a consistent forever process, and I mean real winning that happens all the time. I do not mean reaching a temporary goal or objective, I mean going with existence forever where it may genuinely lead. Consciousness does not die, and nor does spiritual energy, it just changes or the caterpillars forever turn into butterflies in nature and reality everywhere.

With all that getting, get reality! There is not any real retirement or end to be reached, it is a consistent process. Winners realize this, losers think: "Damn, I won the pot, that is it!" or "I lost and I genuinely quit!"

What do you think enlightenment is? It is a concept of the end without considering what happens after it. Enlightenment is an unrealistic concept as most people think it is. Realistic enlightening is consistent working on yourself without end or breaking the link in your mind, body and spirit. Indeed, I did not say "perfection", that is an unrealistic concept and perception to. I am basing this on what actually exists, eternal work and process at it. Eternal momentum and results that work genuinely always. Not perfectly, but always working in the right ways that are genuine and needed. That is the process in reality, quite simply, take or leave the gift here.

Take Back the Power Of Choice and Live Life a Life of Fulfillment

Choices are there for all of us to make. Life has a way of steering us towards a direction that perhaps we don't want to go in. So where does the power of choice come into our mind, heart and soul?

Intuition remains intrinsically woven with our desires, life path and the choice we have at every second of every day to make. The best decisions come from a place of knowing thyself.

The journey of intuition begins with the connection we have to ourselves along with the choices that are made. To pursue intuition is a choice based on the need of opening the mind to greater self- awareness.

The choices we make result in a conscious decision to alter life circumstances. The results are made from the freedom to choose how we react, live and interact within the world. Knowing we have a choice will lead to greater joy and happiness. Remaining asleep, unconscious of the ability to evolve our way of being will keep us enslaved to current limitations.

Life has a wonderful way of honoring choices by manifesting the circumstances that will reinforce what we believe to be true. If we believe deep down that our life is to be a continual burden of work, financial stress and limited joy then it will be. Alter this core belief to be in line with how you want to feel, and the perception of the world and circumstances will transform with you.

Developing intuition will unleash the core beliefs, pushing the boundaries of free thinking with limited vision. Emotions, physical symptoms, thoughts and dreams can reveal the pain of past hurts. Do not let this awareness stop you from continuing with development.

There will be a logical processing of regret for past actions undertaken by you and others. Everyone has a regret of some degree, but do not hold onto this, let it go. Clear the burden of what should have been and focus on all the freedom that is with you now.

Ego will lead us to think that we have no choice, our life is locked in by responsibilities. The simple truth is, we all have the ability to choose how we think, feel and act. We have a choice to give up, be unhappy and never do anything different or we can ask for help, seek guidance and free the mind from its prison.

Tips for Making Choices

• The deeper the connection to ourselves the more conscious our ability to choose

• Core beliefs create life circumstances

• Choices we make result in a conscious decision to alter current positioning

Befriend Your Shadows

So often, especially for sensitive people, our personal shadow side is difficult to acknowledge. It's as if acknowledging the shadow will somehow negate the good we're doing in the world. Or perhaps the sheer presence of a shadow means we haven't done enough 'work' on ourselves. Or that we're not spiritual enough. Or, worse, that there's something permanently wrong with us.

Yes. Our shadows are tough to explore. They're designed to be tough. Tough enough to keep us away from those unwanted parts of ourselves, banished so long ago. Sometimes we don't even know they're there.

The problem with shadows, though, is that they never truly stay hidden. They creep into our behavior, our reactions, our moods, and our personalities. Sometimes they scream at us. And they always push us out of alignment. They will continue to push us out of alignment, until we begin to take notice. Until we embrace them. Simply put, until we befriend our shadows, we will never be able to find true fulfillment.

If you're new to shadow work, here is a brief description of a few common types of shadows.

3 common types of shadows:

Dark Shadows: These include mistakes, wrong-doings, and traumatic events. This is where we harbor shame. We typically spend inordinate amounts of energy trying to hide, deny and avoid these dark shadows. Neglected, they can lead to all sorts of negative, and even harmful, behavior towards ourselves and others.

Unacknowledged Gifts: Here we find our natural strengths and talents which have been pushed into the shadows. This usually happens during youth, as a result of some form of rejection. They can get triggered by someone else's success, along with resentment, anger, or jealousy. These shadows can lead to all sorts of self sabotage from unfulfilling jobs, to procrastination, to overall stagnation.

Light Shadows: These shadows can stem from an inner belief that we're not good, lovable, or valuable enough. Often these shadows include an unresolved need to be loved, or validated. They can lead to overly-friendly, overly-giving, and overly-responsible behaviors.

An effective way of approaching any of our shadows is with forgiveness, compassion, and love. Woven into our shadows are layers of pain and suffering, yearning to be healed. EFT Tapping, meditation, therapy, journaling, prayer, and deep self-care routines, are all helpful methods to assist you as you work with your shadows.

Remember, shadow work takes consistency, patience, compassion, love, and help from others. It's worth it. It's an experience that will truly transform your life.

3 Foundational Practises for Inner Joy, Fulfilment and Peace

Woman in Black Crew-neck Top Wearing White Cardigan

I would like to share with you 3 helpful practises that will help you to live joyfully in the present moment, feel a sense of Oneness and Connection with Source and all of Life.

These practises, if applied, will align you with your natural state where you can experience peace, joy, wellbeing, bliss and Oneness within and all around you.

We are all conscious beings having a physical experience in the body. What we think and believe is true will be reflected back to us through The Law of Attraction.

As Conscious Creators, we have the power to influence our experience here and as such, we also have enormous ability to be of great service to the rest of our 'selves', for we, humanity, and all living beings, are One.

So, let me dive into the 3 practises that will support your alignment as your Divine self, totally free, natural, and just happy to be alive here and now.

Appreciate Nature

We are at a cross roads in our collective evolution where people are realizing that not all is what it seems! We have the opportunity to live from a place of Oneness, to realize and wake up to our true Divine Being-ness, and to actualize our authentic selves in the world.

Our God-Is-ness always Is, we just haven't been aware of it.

One of the ways we can naturally abide in stillness, and thus re-cognize our true nature, is by being more appreciative of Nature herself. Being in nature helps us to slow down and has a calming effect on the mind.

Since we are One with Life itself, when we acknowledge and give our attention to and appreciate nature, we feel nourished and vibrant.

Being in nature rejuvenates us.

In our increasingly technological society, where we have our eyes and mind on our mobile devices for much of the day, we are forgetting to look up and around us, at the natural world.

Did you listen to/notice/feel the birdsong today?

The bird population as well as other species, has been declining and if we don't start giving our attention to nature, we might just find that one day she is empty of life forms... what a loss that would be!

As our (human) population has been increasing, we are infringing on the habitats of other species as the need for housing and feeding ourselves increases.

Nature is nurturing, relaxing and calms our nervous system.

There is an energetic field in the woodland that helps to harmonise/illuminate our own auric field. No wonder we feel so good! WE are literally glowing as we are in the most dense bio energy field available to us on the planet!

We came from nature and lived in tune with her natural rhythms.

Now we need to return to and restore the garden that we have been neglecting, within and without.

Nature is in harmony with your natur-al self.

The colour we see mostly in nature is green, the colour of the heart chakra.

Without the pulse of the heart, the pulse of the Universe, life could not be.

It is balancing for our bodies to walk in nature, in the woods, by the ocean etc.

Dear sisters and brothers, you are an Earthling!!! You are not the Borg, half man, half metal!

You are made from the cosmos, your living cells dance and vibrate every nano second.

You are designed for the natural world.

The Great Mother gives us Oxygen, the air we need to breathe. If we continue to take from her, we are literally denying ourselves and our children of a more pleasant life and natural world to enjoy.

How about giving your child an acorn instead of a mobile phone?

Are outdoor games a thing anymore?

Start appreciating nature today, you won't regret it.

What you appreciate expands. It's the law. You attract more of what you give your attention to. You can't be depressed when you're in appreciation!

Loving nature is also loving yourself!

Start appreciating nature today, she is you, and you are her.

Meditate

woman sitting on bed

Meditation is a must in re-discovering your inner most sense of Self.

When you meditate, you connect with your higher wisdom, truth and 'I Am' existence.

The real YOU is beyond your thoughts and emotions. You are ONE with the infinite eternal Mind of God. You are that.

Meditating every day will allow your mind and body to relax.

It is well documented that meditation relieves stress and helps to centre oneself.

And again, in this speedy technological daily fuzz... all these transmissions, information overload... we need to take time out, to breathe, to slow down... and just Be.

Take time to connect with your inner being/Source today.

This is your lifeline, literally.

Meditation is your opportunity to recharge, to give all concerns and worries to God/The Universe. You can ask questions of this infinite intelligence about certain things you need help with. You are never alone in that sense.

You have a Higher Power within you! Infinite Love is available at all times, to help you. This Infinite Universal mind that knows all and knows what is best for your happiness, your wellbeing, your balance. Simply ask, relax and listen.

Eat a plant based diet

As human awareness expands about the consequences of our actions in ecological terms, there is a huge movement growing towards adopting a 100% plant based diet I.e vegan.

In ecological terms, it has been proven that a plant based diet will cut our carbon footprint by as much as 70%.

A plant based diet is more benign to the planet and compassionate to animals, as well as being highly recommended for good health.

The vegan diet is respectful of life and all beings right to life. Following a plant based diet can increase our appreciation and reverence of nature.

Eating natural plant food tunes you into the natural rhythms/cycles of nature.

Plant foods, and in particular, green leafy vegetables are very alkalizing for the body. Alkalizing your body assists in calming the nervous system, which makes it easier to slow down and meditate.

I believe a plant based diet assists in having deeper meditative states.

An alkaline diet helps you drop down, and relax, so it's a helpful preparation for meditation, as well as providing a good baseline for wellbeing.

Eating a plant based diet is the compassionate way forward in our conscious-love-expanding evolution.

"We connect more with other sentient beings after we go vegan. After I was vegan for 4 years and practising presence, I had an awakening and I felt Oneness with all living beings - nature, people and animals. This knowing of the Oneness within all of life has continued within me, and is the core theme of my continued realization today" - quote from the author.

Dr Gabriel Cousens MD, plant based nutritionist and scientist, recommends eating a raw plant based diet for spiritual awakening and physical wellbeing.

There is plenty of proven evidence, health-wise and ecological wise, to support reasons for switching to a plant based diet.

I highly recommend you consider a vegan diet as one of these 3 practises for expanding consciousness and joyful wellbeing.

I believe we will be happier humans when we do not take another's freewill to live their lives away from them - quote from the author.

So, that's the 3 foundational practises for wellbeing, bliss and greater connection with yourself, life all around you, as the One Divine Being, that YOU ARE!

God is everywhere if you just look within and all around you.

We are all One, and blessed to be here on this planet at this time.

Life is a gift.

When you feel that sense of Oneness, you will know that all is One and you will feel to be of service to your other selves, by whatever theme you are inspired by!

Use your talents to express your unique being-ness in the world.

Everyone desires upliftment as well as balanced and happy role models at this time.

You will know when you are ready to do that.

You are part of this big puzzle of Life and you are an important part of the whole... you can make a difference by taking responsibility for your state of being, embracing compassion for other living beings, and living lightly on the planet.

Nature needs YOU to wake up to your untapped potential, and to use it to benefit the whole. Be the change.

We are being called to awaken to our own Divine power to create positive change. Know that you are contributing by being your authentic self.

We are remembering we are powerful Creators.

No ONE living being need be a slave no more!

It's not about handing over responsibility to the government anymore and waiting for things to change, it's now down to each one of us. Don't wait.

We are the collective and we have power!

Let's unify our vision for an awakened responsible civilisation that is kind, compassionate and giving.

Are YOU ready to wake up, evolve and shine your light?! Go to it!

Action - Putting Money Where Your Mouth Is

Action is the separator between promise, talk and fulfillment. We can all talk a good game, but the achievement is the actual fulfilled action. So I will start with the story of Henry Ford and the guy who worked in the garage stall near him. The guy who worked near Henry Ford was said to be a better mechanic than Henry Ford, and much smarter at fixing machines, so to speak. Indeed, it looked like he was going to get further in life than Henry Ford until the actions of Henry ford separated him from the "promise" of the other man to be more of a success. So, while Henry Ford was making billions, the other man still worked in the same garage in Detroit, Michigan, USA, doing the same thing "better" and "with more skill than" Henry Ford.

You see, what separates fantasy from reality is the actions we take. Without action, everything is a promise, a lot of talk and not any fulfillment.

When success becomes a reality, decisions are reached and actions are taken, not necessarily by the best person, but by the person willing to take the action genuinely.

To become a winner, we must not just know why to do it, but we must actually do it to the point of success. The action is to put our money where our mouth is, not to be "better than the other guy" on paper or in "an ideal world". We must take deliberate action now. We must be real in order to get what we want now. We must act on what we know now, or the opportunity is missed now. Some of the greatest losers quit at the moment they could have persisted and won. After all, what do you think happened to Peter Best and Stuart Sutcliffe of the Beatles anyway? Richard Starkey and George Harrison took their places. So, almost is never "the rub", making it is "the rub" that creates all success and fulfillment. The money is always on success, even when we think it is not, it is never on failure. Although, sometimes we make the bet against certain things, even the worst of us does not genuinely want to fail.

So, action and fulfillment is the separator between promise and talk. After all, how do you think Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr./Muhammad Ali crossed that line? He fully backed up courageously right down to not going into the military and losing some of the best years of his boxing career, and almost going to jail and becoming more of a legend for it. The real failure does not have integrity, the success, however temporary the failure always does.

Positivity Begins in the Mind

I'm sure you have heard people prattling about being positive, thinking positive and changing your life. Honestly, I was a skeptic for sometime because it seemed rather magical. I mean how is it that just thinking about something makes it a reality? Experience seems to show otherwise but soon I realized that my skepticism was misdirected. The idea that your thoughts can change your life is true but the way it is marketed and advertised isn't always so.

Numerous books have been written on this very theme. The number of talks, sessions, seminars and studies conducted are innumerable. All this ultimately boils down to one simple principle: Your Thoughts can Change You. Many of us may feel that we are not good enough or that we cannot do something hard or that we are not beautiful or smart or successful, and we get bogged down. We are led to believe that we don't have it in us, that we aren't cut out. Such thoughts in fact, cripple us. They lead us to develop negative ideas about ourselves. Already, if you are perceptive, you can see that ideas have shaped the way you think, what you believe about yourself and others and how you behave. The idea that you cannot do something prevents you from trying to do it in the future because it tells you that in the past you have failed and therefore you will fail again. The idea that you are not beautiful has created in your mind a negative image of yourself so that you are unable to accept yourself. The truth of the matter is that most things that we think are permanent are not! There are few things in life that cannot be changed and your ideas are not among them.

There is a famous test that reveals one's outlook to life. A glass is filled with water to the half-way point. Is the glass half full or half empty? Your answer reveals the kind of person you are. Those who choose the first option are the optimists while those who choose the latter are pessimists. The glass with water is a reality that can be changed but the crucial element is our perception of it. We are prone to catch the attitude that is more dominant in our environment. If the atmosphere around us is negative we will end up becoming irritable, tense, pessimistic, sarcastic and so on while on the other hand if our environment is positive then we will be likely to be cheerful, optimistic, motivated, encouraging, helpful and so on. You see, attitude is a big deal. Where does this attitude come from? It stems from each of ourselves. What our mind thinks is expressed in the form actions. What happens at the level of the mind is ATTITUDE and what is seen in action is BEHAVIOUR. We can discover our attitudes by paying attention to our behaviour. This is what certain branches of psychology aim to do. If you find that certain behaviours of yours are not helpful or positive then you need to go inward and discover the attitudes behind those behaviours.

The way you live and act generally becomes your lifestyle and so depending on how you live you can have a positive or a negative lifestyle. Each will have their own consequences and therefore we must choose wisely. It is unlikely that anyone would enjoy a negative lifestyle. We are all looking for happiness and fulfillment. These can truly be experienced in a positive lifestyle. What does a positive lifestyle consist of you may ask. It involves looking at things a little differently. It requires that you see and understand the positive aspects of people and situations - instead of just focusing on the negative aspects. Moving from a negative lifestyle to a positive lifestyle begins by changing the way we see things and changing the way we interact with each other.

In daily conversation you may find yourself using negative words or phrases like "not bad", "I don't know", "I can't... " etc. We use such words unconsciously and are often oblivious to the underlying meanings they convey. Such statements show that we are negative in our approach to life. On the other hand if we could say "Great" instead of "not bad", "I will see what I can do" instead of "I don't know" and "I can" instead of "I can't" we will have taken the first step towards changing our attitude. If you're in a conversation where everybody is just being negative - try saying something positive and see what happens. Watch the response - you'll be surprised at some of the things that happen. Some people may think your crazy - but a lot of people will actually start to see things differently. You'll actually get them to stop being so negative - and without knowing it - those very same people will begin looking at things in a more positive way. This may not happen the first time, and it may not happen all the time - but the more you do it - the more often you'll get them to focus on the positive events.

This is a topic on which so much can be said. In fact so much has already been said. I am a firm believer in practice. No amount of theory will do any good if it is never put into practice. You cannot become a positive person by reading a book or an article or listening to a talk or attending a seminar. Becoming a positive person requires that we first make the mental shift. Positivity begins in our mind. I have to be willing to be a positive person only then will any change happen. A positive outlook will help you get over a lot of things - personally and socially. The benefits of a positive lifestyle are numerous. I could list them out for you but that goes against my belief. I would rather prefer that you experience them for yourself and then maybe you could tell me.

How To Be Fearless In Everything

We all have fear, yet to be fearless in everything is the greatest place if you want to live fully. All of us experience being afraid, but what makes great people successful is their boldness. Most people hang on to their fears. However, life keeps moving on, even without them. So how can you deal with fear?
Is fear indeed something you are born with? What doubts keep you locked inside four invisible walls? Which life could you have if you were to be fearless? How can you have a better understanding of fear and learn how to deal with it?

To get more confidence, less pressure, and to feel powerful, the one essential element is fearlessness. When you are no longer full of stress, doubts, and concerns, you become fearless. And when you are daring in everything that you do, you feel genuinely incredible.

Each of us has something that they struggle with or something that they are afraid to do. But no matter what your concerns are, there are ways of dealing with them. Fear is often the little voice that you hear in your mind, holding you back from change, growth, success, serenity, fulfillment, and joy.

Be Fearless or Be in Fear
To be fearless or being afraid is a choice. Think about it. Your fears might limit you in many ways that you are not even aware of. How many of your fears have ever come true? Eighty-five percent of your doubts, worries or concerns never happen. So, what is the point of having such dreads in the first place?

In a way, it is funny because your brain is only trying to help you when it creates a fear reaction. Your mind is just designing a worst case scenario to get you ready for an unfortunate circumstance. Yet, it is common for any of us to get upset more than we should.

Therefore, when I recently read the book "The 50th Law" and listen to the audio, I realized that most of the time, as I took so many risks in my life, I knew how to be fearless and still am. Yet, the approach, outlook, mindset and the insights expressed in this book are a real gold mine. And even if I am not a '50 cent' song's fan, I misjudged this man who is the co-writer.

The Law of Good and Bad Events
The book tells us that good and bad things happen to everyone in life. It is a law of nature. There are many situations which you and I do not have much control over. But it shows us that the only thing we have control over is our mindset and how we respond to our circumstances.

So, when you know how to be fearless and have a bold attitude towards life, something strange and remarkable occurs. It somehow gives you the unique ability to shape your circumstances. In our present world, we are safer than our prehistoric ancestors, so most fears should be unrealistic.

However, these fears come from situations or circumstances that have not happened or might never happen. You have false opinions and beliefs rather than being fearless. This deceitful thinking lives inside the part of you that is the scared child who wants security and comfort.

To Be Fearless Is Not Being a People Pleaser
I know for a fact that in the long run, it does not pay to be a people pleaser. The reason for this is that you would let go of learning how to adapt to change. To be fearless is to know your worth and stand up for your convictions, no matter what others believe.

So rather than please others, be fearless instead. If you are scared of something in life, in a small or significant way, try to think about the concept of embracing your fears, because fear is an essential element for massive growth and positive change.

As a result, if you are afraid of something like we all are, then you know you have found a goldmine. Why? Well, because it is the best place to dig for the precious stones that can get your freedom from fear, and send you spiraling on the way to become fearless.

How to Be Fearless in Everything
As I am getting older, I realize one thing for sure. I have only one life to live right now, and it will end someday, far in the future I hope. So then again, I ask myself, what is the point of living it in fear?

I have learned a lot about fear and how to be fearless in my life as a professional athlete. And I know that the difference between successful people and those who are not is that the way of dealing with their fear. Here are some different ways I used to prepare myself for significant competition and how they helped me conquer most of my fears.

Be Fearless - Reading
It is one of my favorite things to do. I even got rid of my television. When you read a book associated with your fears, it can give you answers on how to get liberated from it. I always fill my life with inspirational readings which are related to all kinds of topics. Learn to be fearless!

Be Fearless - Challenging Yourself
Unless you do know, you have to discover areas in your life where you feel fear. For me, it is speaking in front of a huge crowd. What is your biggest fear? Look at it right in the eye, and accept discomfort as you break out of your comfort zone. In this way, you can reap the great rewards of becoming fearless.

Be Fearless - Copying Bold People
You should copycat the high points of the many role models you admire. Whether it is in person, through a book, or online, you have to use these examples as mentors. It is an excellent source to battle your fears. Then feed your mind with images of what you want your future self to be like.

Be Fearless - Building Your Cluster
You need to build relationships with people who share a similar vision and worldview. Find individuals who want to work on your team or be fearless with you on your journeys. But always remember to trust and count only on yourself. You will be less disappointed.

Be Fearless - Being Uncomfortable
Yes, at times, you will look stupid, be inexperienced, make mistakes or feel vulnerable. It happens, but do not let it hold you back. We are all beginners before becoming masters. If you can let go of your fears, then you are well on your way to be fearless and live a more fabulous life. But you also need to take action.

To Be Fearless is Also Taking Action
Being scared of things sometimes is acceptable. But to be fearless, you have to take action in spite of your fear. You cannot let your concerns stop you from speaking up or acting. Actions are the most significant cure for fear.

So, '50 Cent' has this to say about being fearless: "The key to possessing this supreme power is to assume the active mode in dealing with your fears. It means entering the very arenas you normally shy away from. Such things as making the tough decisions you have been avoiding, confronting the people who are playing power games with you, think of yourself and what you need instead of pleasing others. And making yourself change the direction of your life even though such a change is the very thing you dread."

It is truly an incredible statement in my eyes. So many people are doing the same thing, thinking the same ways, and being stuck because they are too scared to decide, take actions and be fearless to change their situations.

Tips to Be Fearless in Everything

  • Think about what is the worst that could happen? I have fallen off my horse in races in front of thousands of people. There is nothing to be ashamed of! I lived. Life goes on. Better try and fail than never try at all. Be fearless!
  • Let go when you experience feelings of fear because often you spend your day worrying or fearing things.
  • Remind yourself that it is all in your mind and that most fears never happen.
  • Consider an action plan to deal with the worst case scenario.
  • Realize what you can lose by staying paralyzed by fear.
  • Let go of outcomes. Stay open to any possibility. If life takes you left instead of right, let it. Go with what life gives you. It might be more fun.
  • Be childlike. Act for a day as if you do not know anything. See everything as a source of education.
  • Be fearless and face your fear. You might be surprised to find out that it was not that bad.
  • Reward yourself when being fearless.
  • Take action, whatever it is. Go hard. And be fearless.

A Closing Idea to Be Fearless
A good idea, to be fearless, is to return to that mind you possessed as a child, so you can open to new experiences instead of being closed minded. Let us imagine for a day that you do not know anything, that what you believe could be completely false and learn.
Remember that everybody who has ever done something great failed over and over before succeeding. To be fearless requires a growth mindset. Nothing remains the same forever. You can change. The tips, time, actions, as well as an open mind, will help you become bolder and be more successful.

The Thought That Resonates

Vibration. The most powerful force there is. It seems to work like magic, but it is not. It is what we with our free will create from the ground up through our actions upon reality. Like something being built, our vibrations create what we are and what we do. Sure, we can say something like "it just happened to be" or "there is not any explanation", but we would be lying to ourselves so fully that we would not know anything that is going on in any way unless we do admit that it all does come down to vibration.

Sure, that is blunt reality, but what else does matter in any way? Nothing else does. I remember Paramahansa Yogananda and his quote: "Every human wish finds ultimate fulfillment." I see what he meant now, and the way he meant it: I think he should have said that every genuine vibration from the ground up meets ultimate fulfillment. Actions from a deep place are always somehow fulfilled. Have you ever noticed that? Only the shallowest actions are like the low tide of the ocean, doing nothing but making a little temporarily wet sand on the beach that dries normally. In thought, every genuinely energetic from the inside person is a strong vibration like positive tsunami waves that blow across a beach powerfully and memorably. Real power is controlling your vibrations fully without let up or fear of what others think.

Although Abraham Lincoln was a politician, he had one valuable quote: "People are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." He was right about that. The power is always in the reality though. With thought and concentrated action on that thought, all things are possible. We are as happy and honest as we make up our minds to be really. The virtue of life is in living and not avoiding it. So many live by what others think and think that they are living when they find they skipped what they really wanted in life. The love of life makes you vibrate strongly to what you genuinely and really want and need. In fact, I can honestly say that is the real championship of it all, that genuine, permanent happiness that works for you. Not some outer trophy, or even an ultimate win on the outside, but to borrow the Dr. Bert Mandelbaum, M.D. book title for a moment: The Win Within. So, I end with a couple of questions: How do you live your life? Are you an inner driven person or an outer driven person? Do not answer me, answer yourself.

Do You Know How To Increase ABUNDANCE In Your Life?

Who doesn't like to increase ABUNDANCE in all areas of their lives? Perhaps more health, better relationships, more finances, more fulfilment, more contribution, better job or career, or a more successful business. Whatever it is, we all like to increase and it can be done by applying the Law Of Increase.

You can also call it the Law of Praise. Why? Because when you praise someone or something you're automatically putting energy of increase, because you're rising its frequency, the energy vibration of that thing. You can raise the energy frequency of anything & anyone just by praising them.

When you praise a plant, or money, or a person's self-esteem, you are helping them to increase. To be better. To attract more of, because you're raising that frequency of energy on them.

How Does it Work?

Praise has to be honest. Has to come from the heart, not just from the head and the lips.

If you can't go as deep as letting the praise come from the heart because you're not used to it, perhaps because you grew up surrounded with criticism and in the habit of spotting what's wrong and the flaws and the faults in other people and things, then that's okay. Take it easy and be gentle with yourself. Just start by practicing. It's okay if at the beginning you have to praise just from your lips and with your head. Eventually the more you do it, the more you're going to mean it, the more it's going to come from the heart.

When it comes to people at your business or job, it's praising for the things that they do right. Instead of trying to spot the things that they do wrong, you want to catch them doing something right! That's something I used to do with my staff at Flight Center. I was in Flight Center managing a few of the different businesses for about 10 years and this is something I learned earlier on that was really beneficial for me. I learned to be able to catch my staff doing something right so that I could praise them and by doing so, I helped them grow.

Praise and recognition expands, it goes into your cellular system for it to vibrate at a high frequency and expand. Criticism and finding flaws and defects turns into "contracting". It does the opposite. You want to get into the habit of praising!

When you praise someone, you're allowing them to grow and be better at what they do and increase the level of self esteem versus trying to spot them doing something wrong.

Here is a really good story about Bob Proctor doing a test with waiters and waitresses at a restaurant. He asked them to praise each person at the tables they served and they did it. They just started blessing and praising in silence, through their hearts and inside their heads. Guess what happened? In 30 days, they were reporting to Bob Proctor that they had doubled and tripled the amount of tips that they made for the week. I love it!

Now, let me tell you that the cells inside your body respond to praise by expanding, by becoming healthier, by multiplying. Praise is fantastic for your health as well. When you're praising someone, even if you're just in silence, it's a thought transmission. You're transmitting this thought to the people that you're praising and you're transmitting a higher frequency of energy to the people that you praise & bless.

Couple Kissing Baby While Carry

Another thing very powerful is that praise changes our focus because it's training you to look for accomplishment. To look for good and beauty in your life. Instead of being used to focusing on the flaws and the mistakes or the things that don't work. Maybe that's your default. Maybe you're automatically wired to focus on what is wrong. By praising, you're training yourself to focus on what is right. You're training yourself to focus on always looking for the accomplishments and the beauty that surrounds you. The abundance that surrounds you. Practice it until it becomes habitual. Fake it until you make it.

Your Challenge for this week!

I want you to start praising, praising, praising. Anything and everyone around you. Do it sincerely. Don't just say it if you don't mean it. Don't say it if you're thinking the opposite. Look, your default may be criticism and spotting the flaws and the things that are wrong, but it's not all your fault. That's probably how you grew up. That's what got ingrained into you as you were growing up.

This is the time to change your habits. This is the time to reprogram your subconscious, your cellular system, so that you can start training yourself for praise and recognition. Children that grow up with criticism, they're insecure, they're fearful. Children that grow up with praise, they are confident, they have a higher self esteem because praise is the quickest route to prosperity. You want to get into the habit of praising.

You practice it until you believe it and you start to do it naturally and then it's ingrained into your cellular system so that your default from your subconscious is to always praise. Praise other things, praise the actions, praise other people. Praise people's gifts. Now, even if you're just saying it from the head and not from the heart just yet, that's fine. Just keep practicing. Keep practicing until you start generating the feeling of the praise inside of your body. In your heart. Speak it out loud with a heart full of energy. This is why I want you to do this week. If you have any experiences of when you praised someone and what happened to you in return, I want you to share it on the comments section below.

I want you to come back here and share with us the magic that showed up in your life from practicing this beautiful law of praising. Praising is increasing. This is the Law of Increase. The more you praise, the more you're going to increase, the more you're going to have abundance in all areas of your life which is super exciting. I can't wait to hear about it!

Until the next one, stay well and play full out!

5 Self Improvement Tips for Personal Power, Peak Performance and Prosperity

I believe that, ultimately, we all want peace and fulfillment more than anything else.

Of course, there are other things we want. And truth is, we must actualize some of these other things if we are to attain deep and lasting peace.

Of course, fulfillment itself comes primarily, if not exclusively, from actualizing our other needs, such as the need for growth, contribution, stimulation and mattering.

All of these things mean we must master our mindset - our beliefs, habitual thoughts and expectations. We must be committed to personal development. Only if we are developing personally will our lives develop materially.

Here are five tips to create greater peace, motivation and mindset mastery.

1. Accept only self-compassion and positive self-talk.

This is a tough one. Most of us engage in self-flagellation, to one degree or another. This emanates from our belief-set; our mindset.

Make an active and habitual practice to seek out and compliment yourself on your skills, virtues and wins.

Habitually recognize, praise and congratulate yourself, as you would a child you love.

Seriously. Make a conscious, active and habitual practice of this. You will be amazed at how this practice alone will massively change your habitual mindset, feelings and emotions. Increasing your state of being, motivation, joy and fulfillment.

At the end of each day, make a list of three to five things you did well. Also add one thing you will do better next time. Always keep the ratio skewed at least 3 to 1 towards the positive.

2. Never compare yourself to others.

We all have our own path, our own brain, mind and personality. Another's path has no bearing whatsoever on our validity, ability or journey - other than in the empowering lessons we can take from their lives.

Learn from others, but don't ever compare yourself to others.

Use lessons from others for personal development and success. But never compare yourself to another.

Believe in yourself. Be aware of and grateful for your strengths, while determined to constantly grow and improve.

3. Accept, even celebrate, that life will absolutely have disappointments and pain. They are the fuel to self improvement.

We all want to grow. To figure things out. And to matter. We all want to create and experience personal success.

Success equals change. Positive change. Growth.

If WE aren't growing and developing, our lives cannot grow and develop.

When do we grow most? Heck, for most of us, most of the time, when do we grow at all?

When we experience obstacles, disappointments and pain. When we hit setbacks, which fuel motivation and determination to change and make things better. And only when we change for the better do our results change for the better.

Hack your mind to revel in obstacles, disappointments and, yes, even pain. Know that they are not permanent. Nor are they an indication of any lack on your part. See and feel them and beautiful opportunities to take advantage of and accelerate personal development. They bring us closer to being the person and success for which we are destined.

4. There is no failure, but in failing to begin or failing to continue.

I passionately believe this to be true. Whatever our outcomes, we only fail in not trying or giving up.

Stay true to your ultimate purpose, mission and vision and adjust your strategies and tactics as wisdom dictates.

Changing direction isn't necessarily failure or negative. Don't give up on your dream, but do stay true to your soul. If you are truly meant for a path other than the current one you placed yourself on, accept that and move passionately onto the new path.

Be generous, loving, kind and compassionate with yourself. Have and hold yourself to high standards, but with loving compassion and optimism that you will capitalize on and prevail in all circumstances. Treat yourself with the love, patience and compassion a wise altruistic elder would treat the beautiful soul of a child.

5. Love yourself. Believe you are perfect. But that you will become more perfect each day and that the journey is never over.

Keep this self-image. Constantly love, support, praise and humor yourself as you would the child or friend you most love or as you would be loved and supported by a loving, more seasoned and wiser person who would love you.

But also keep the thirst for personal development and success burning within. We are all works in process. Perfect as we are today, but driven to an even higher level of perfection today and tomorrow.

There you have it. Five habitual practices that will help bring you all you are after: Love, peace, prosperity, growth, stimulation and, probably, anything else your soul desires.

Cheers friends.

What do you want more of? Money? Career growth? Fulfillment?

As they say: "to get something we've never had, we must do something we've never done."

There is definite science & art to prosperity & success.
